welcome aboard the MLB playoffs preview presented by me, Polly G of the offing sports brand.
Um, just gonna go through and talk playoff scenarios, tiebreakers And what situation? They're still yet unresolved.
We're gonna start off.
Uh, we'll start off with the playoff picture here.
Um, so as of right now, we have the Yankees facing off against the Twins, the Astros taking on the winner of the A's and the Tampa Bay Rays.
And over the Nationally, you have the Braves taking on the winner of the N L Central division, either the St Louis Cardinals or the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Dodgers will host in the NLDS the winner between the wild card game of Washington Nationals or, uh, and Milwaukee or save Luis, depending on who does not win the NL Central.
Now, um, the N L Central, The N L Central, is the only division in Major league baseball that is still unresolved.
Let me pull that up.
As I did not get that slide ready, I apologized.
I thought I had everything ready on one side.
I missed um, and Els said so with NL Central St Louis Cardinals are in the division lead right now, and the Milwaukee Brewers, who are just on fire, are right there on the hills.
One game back in the N L. Central.
Milwaukee has two games left in Colorado and say, loses at home against the Cubs.
The Cubs did win huge.
Yesterday comes one huge yesterday, 82 and the Milwaukee Brewers lost to Colorado.
Um, so it's gonna be a tough fight all the way down to the end.
Neither team can take any any playoff.
You just can't every play you have to be on your P's and Q's the guy your eyes cross your teas.
So there's the NL Central.
Now let's take a look at the NL wildcard because whoever does not command Central movie in the wild card oh, unused Washington Nationals that game.
That or that that game set up Washington Nationals right now are two games up on the Milwaukee Brewers.
Oh, and it's really would host the wild card game between Milwaukee and Washington.
As long as everything stays pack and we all know not everything stays pat, and because of that, we have what's called tiebreakers.
So let's take a look at tiebreakers here, and this is gonna be all the tiebreakers for everything in baseball.
So save Luis would host the tiebreaker between the Milwaukee Brewers and themselves on Monday to decide the NL Central title.
If Milwaukee as a Louis finished type, UM, it's St Louis holds that one game lead.
They win the division.
Milwaukee goes to wild card game.
Milwaukee would hope Washington on Tuesday.
Louis would also host Washington on Tuesday.
Should either of those teams be tied with Washington? Um, for the wild card.
So Washington has the fate of their playoff game in their hand.
All they have to do is maintained that wild card lied and hope that St Louis keeps their lead in the NL Central.
Because I believe Missy Walkie are saying loses 90 and 70 and Washington is maybe one at 69.
So no, Washington completely has their fate in their hands.
Oh, with the wild card game that it's gonna hold on to that wild card.
Lee and they they hosted Walker game.
Now, um, for the American League wildcard game.
No National League again.
Uh, Oakland and Tampa are tied right now, so both of these teams hold their fate.
Who's gonna? Who's gonna have home field advantage in their first in the wild card game? It's completely up to both of these teams.
You have to win out, you have to win out.
And then you post the wall card game that two games left for both of these teams.
Again, let's go back to the the tie breaker situation.
Um, Oakland were host Tampa Bay.
Should they finish tied? So Oakland has the tiebreaker over Jap Obey.
Um, and then the last thing to be decided, who has home field advantage all the way through the playoffs? Uh, and that would be Houston L. A.
And the Yankees Now, Right now, Um, Houston has the tiebreaker over the Yankees, so they have clinched home field advantage throughout the A L playoffs.
The Dodgers, however, I can still overtake the Astros for home field advantage throughout the World Series books.
I don't think it's gonna happen As much as I love my daughters.
The ashes were playing the angles.
Angels are injured.
Their season's done.
They have nothing to fight for.
Um, so the way this bracket is set up, I think it's gonna remain the way my prediction is.
The Cardinals will win the Central and the Nationals will host Milwaukee in the NL wildcard.
Hey was going on, but welcome to the broadcast.
New England Superfan.
Joining, Um, so, yeah, I think, uh, Washington will beat Milwaukee in Welker game to face the Dodgers in the National League division.
And then, um, I think that AIDS will be the rays in the wild card game for the National for the American date and and end up facing the Astros in the A L.
D s biting through some fluctuations in my bit rate.
Sorry about that, folks.
Um, but all said and done, it's gonna be a great playoff run for all of these teams.
So I think Washington wins the Welker game, faces the Dodgers, think the Dodgers internationals and that's Siri's and that.
And I think the Braves beat the Cardinals, but I think it's gonna go full length there in that matchup.
As the Cardinals are really on fire right now.
I think the Braves hold on and win that division that then division Siri's, then the Yankees and twins.
Thank you, Yankees and twins.
I think the Yankees and Twins will be a good match up there.
But I think the Yankees, although the games may be close, I think the Yankees sweep the Twins, as does the Astros to the A's who I think will come out with Welker. Game.
Um, thank you for your patience and dealing with my bit rate fluctuations, which causes lag and dropped frames.
Thank you for joining me for my MLB playoff preview prediction show.
Um, that's how I see the playoffs going.
And, uh, I will catch a little bit later on at that other things lined up to go live on throughout the day.
Once again, thank you for joining me today and you enjoy the football.
Enjoy the soccer, Enjoy the baseball go Dodgers.
