00:00:58
Hello, Sportscaster.
00:01:00
This is Colt Hall.
00:01:02
I'm warned selling your host.
00:01:03
And today we're gonna go over yesterday's game against the Falcons.
00:01:09
Will Colt won 27 24 we're gonna go with State of the courts right now.
00:01:14
After the game.
00:01:15
One day afterwards, there was a few very notable injuries and some good looks.
00:01:22
Though I am some bad things, but some good things as well that we really need to go over first thing.
00:01:28
I want to go over us and injuries as we know Colt Gary Slender did not play in this game due to the fact that he was suffering a concussion protocol.
00:01:40
Hopefully, he's able to make it through that protocol for next week against the Raiders, however, Malik Hooker, big news come out of that.
00:01:49
He tor his meniscus in his knee, and apparently he's going to be out for work to six weeks.
00:01:58
All right, now, you kind of worried about that, because Hooker is very good sideline to sideline and has incredible athleticism and the ability toe come wait with interceptions.
00:02:12
If you just get a few fingers on a football now, while he was out card Willis cult rookie from this last year, he sub form.
00:02:23
It looks like he'll probably be be subbing for him while he's out between him and George Odom, who's a veteran.
00:02:31
But Odom is more of a special teamer, but he's also proven himself the last couple of years in the absence of Malik Hooker, when he's been injured before.
00:02:44
Another key injury tow watch out for is wide receiver T Y Hilton.
00:02:51
Um, he injured hiss quadricep.
00:02:56
You could have seen him on the sideline during the game they had.
00:03:01
He went to the locker room, came back out.
00:03:04
They were taken bandaging bags of ice right on top of his thigh.
00:03:09
All right, so, uh, no telling how long Hey might be out where if you'll just be used lightly, but they took him out.
00:03:17
He didn't tear, apparently, but they were afraid that that's what might happen.
00:03:24
He's been dealing with this type of injury, I guess all week, and he just reaggravated it.
00:03:31
So there's a good chance he may not play against the Raiders in just rest and recoup from from really re aggravating that thigh muscle.
00:03:43
A couple other colts that we really need to be looking out for, especially on the defensive line.
00:03:52
Tai Kwan Lewis.
00:03:55
He has a right foot ankle, not really sure exactly where at, but he was taken out in the second quarter.
00:04:04
He never came back, no telling how long he's gonna be out for.
00:04:11
But he's a heck of a guy who can play defensive tackle and even kick out the defense.
00:04:15
It Ian, that really is.
00:04:18
Ah, Major hit on that defensive line because he's one of those.
00:04:24
Him and Deco Autry are kind of a similar building.
00:04:28
Play style words.
00:04:29
They can not only stop the run, but they are very good at tackle position to getting penetration through the offensive line and create havoc in the backfield against the run or pressuring the quarterback, uh, job all shared.
00:04:44
Of course, we all know miss last week, but he was practicing last week.
00:04:49
So there is a chance, hopefully, that he will be back for the Raiders crossing fingers here.
00:04:56
Right? But those are injuries that we're looking at right now.
00:05:03
Um, I would like to say that the Indianapolis Colts look really good, at least in the first half and the fourth quarter against the Falcons.
00:05:16
Right? Jacoby percent answered all questions about his ability to play in the first half in the fourth quarter of this game against the Falcons, because the run game was so efficient in the 1st 2 games of the year.
00:05:33
Percent really didn't have to throw the football very much, right.
00:05:37
He didn't get a whole lot of opportunities of throw, especially downfield.
00:05:40
This game was different.
00:05:42
This game was more loaded towards Jacoby percent of game.
00:05:46
To get out to a fast store.
00:05:48
Half time, they were 20 to 3.
00:05:52
T y Hilton was a major major part of that where team why, I ended up with eight receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown by the time you know, he left with that quadricep injury percent himself, ended up 28 of 37 310 yards to touchdowns.
00:06:13
That's a good showing now.
00:06:16
Granted, that's not Patrick Mahoney showing, but the Colts don't need a Patrick My Homes when they have Theoden inal talent that they have around them.
00:06:24
Like Marlon Mack, who again had a decent game, didn't have a blowout 185 yard game like you get weak one.
00:06:30
But I mean, he averaged over four and 1/2 yards a carry, had 16 carries, so that's a good amount of running.
00:06:41
And it kept the Falcons honest on the run so that reset could pass the ball.
00:06:46
And even though T.
00:06:48
Y Hilton had a big day, the tight ends also had a great day, right? Jack Doyle had four catches for 46 yards.
00:06:57
Eric Ebron had three catches for 47 yards.
00:07:00
Malala Cox had a couple catches for a couple first downs.
00:07:04
Um, Paris.
00:07:06
Campbell not only showed a few catches that he had that he was a little bit explosive, but on a kick return on a kick return, he was one shoestring tackle away from breaking it out hitting the end zone on a kick return that someone you might want to watch later on right, Because this is just Paris.
00:07:26
Campbell is such a dynamic player at wide receiver and that returner that if they can just be able to get him the football more often, that he'll be able to make more explosive break out plays.
00:07:42
And I got a feeling we're gonna have to, especially against the Raiders of T.
00:07:45
Y Hilton, isn't it? Is a no go do this quadricep injury.
00:07:49
It's gonna be a lot more him, Zach Paschal, Deon Cain, especially Devin Funchess is out.
00:07:56
You know, for at least another 67 more weeks, right, because you know his injury.
00:08:02
So because he don't I r uh offensive line.
00:08:07
Did a pretty good job.
00:08:08
Percent really wasn't under pressure that much.
00:08:10
He got sacked once a couple times.
00:08:12
He did get pressured.
00:08:13
He was able to move around in the pocket.
00:08:16
He ran the ball couple times, but he just moved around in the pocket a little bit.
00:08:21
And quarterbacks able to move around in the pocket.
00:08:23
That shows really good pocket integrity.
00:08:26
He's able to step up, and that's what a quarterback should do right, and that's what I was talking about.
00:08:31
Before the game, Mr Colt had such a great inside offensive line between Quentin Nelson and Ryan Kelly and more Glinski.
00:08:41
They're so solid at those three spots that percent can just move up into the pocket when Anthony Castonzo Unbreak Smith has to kind of give a little bit of room to the speed edge rushers.
00:08:55
Oh, excuse me.
00:09:00
Another name that was on the watch list.
00:09:02
Adam Vinatieri.
00:09:04
Hey had missed three extra points in two field goals in the first two weeks.
00:09:10
Well, he was a perfect um yesterday, Hey nailed both its field goals, one of them being a 49 order and then all of his extra points.
00:09:20
So he even received a standing ovation from the home crowd, which was a really big deal, considering a lot of people thought that he might get booed.
00:09:29
But I'm glad he didn't because being he's the greatest of all time and Frank, right straight said, You know, it's just all up here.
00:09:36
We're just he's our guy.
00:09:38
He just needs toe sort things out, and it's pretty obvious he did.
00:09:43
I don't expect me every player, no matter what their age goes through games where they end up having bad games, even a couple of strong together.
00:09:51
And Adam Military just had a couple games strung together that were bad.
00:09:54
I fully expect a very solid kicker from Adam Military the rest of the year.
00:10:02
Um, moving on from that point, I don't see who else I want to talk about.
00:10:08
I could talk.
00:10:09
There's a few people on this Colts team that I thought had a really, really good job.
00:10:13
Um, Justin Houston.
00:10:18
I got a lot of pressures on that Ryan, right? The defense themselves at first half, uh, really, really got onto Ryan.
00:10:27
And under the run game, Clinton gathers ended up with an interception while they were well happens.
00:10:34
We're almost in the red zone.
00:10:37
Uh, hey, get accepted it at the three yard line, which you'll turn around, appoints.
00:10:42
The Colts got three points out of it, where Poppins would at least got three points had it not happened.
00:10:46
So that's a six point turn over.
00:10:49
Big deal, right? Basically, that interception won the game, even though it was early in the first quarter.
00:10:56
It won the game for the Colts because of the score here, Um, we'll see who else had a really, really good game.
00:11:04
Besides, well, Justin Houston was also able to do a very good against the run game.
00:11:09
Speaking of the run game, since various Leonard was out in concussion protocol, they actually moved Walker Jr from his Mike linebacker position to the will and then put Bobby Okra Ricky in Walker's position.
00:11:28
No Walker in the will position standing in for Darius Leonard ended up with, like 14 tackles, 15 tackles, something like Career High, you know, had an excellent game, and that's what you expect from.
00:11:42
He didn't have the speed various Leonard has, but he has the smarts and the vision to actually see what's going on breaking offense down the four.
00:11:50
That ball is hype and be able to get to a play, and that's exactly what he did.
00:11:56
I have explained this multiple multiple times over the course of the year so far that Anthony Walker is my favorite linebacker on the team.
00:12:05
That's not various.
00:12:06
Leonard is Anthony Walker.
00:12:08
Darius is a very splashy player, but Anthony Walker is the brains behind the defense will actually Matt, even loose.
00:12:15
The defensive coordinator is the brains, but while on the field, he's the guy who make sure everybody is where they need to be.
00:12:23
Ah, a little bit of a concern.
00:12:25
Now I understand that, Matt Ryan.
00:12:27
And, you know, Calvin Ridley, Mohammed Sunu and that one dude.
00:12:31
Oh, yeah, uh, Jones, they got a heck of a passing game and they did a really good job throwing the football around right yesterday.
00:12:41
Especially in the third quarter.
00:12:44
They scored, uh, like, 20 points.
00:12:47
Bam! Right, real quick.
00:12:48
Uh, in just 1/4 and 1/2 after the halftime, when they were down 20 to 3, they ended up coming back and making it a one score game.
00:13:00
Now the Colts never gave up the lead.
00:13:02
They always had to lead.
00:13:03
But the Falcons made it interesting there in the fourth quarter.
00:13:07
And they I'm very glad that the Colts were able to do what they actually did.
00:13:14
Defensively.
00:13:15
They clamped down a couple times, uh, in in the second half.
00:13:21
Even though it seemed like anything over the middle, Matt Ryan was able to just pick him apart.
00:13:26
There was a couple plays on the outside edges, especially the guys like Julio Jones.
00:13:32
That happened especially like that one stupid catching in the back corner of the end zone, where he caught that where he had Rocky sin like low.
00:13:43
And then he had.
00:13:45
I think it was Gators or Curry Willis, the safety up high, and somehow still, he was able to catch that football.
00:13:52
Come down with it with complete control for a touchdown.
00:13:55
That was just stupid athleticism and just focus by Julio Jones, and I can't take that away from That was just awesome, played by Julio.
00:14:05
But there was a pass interference call on Quick.
00:14:09
I think it was Quincy or Rocky scene.
00:14:11
I can't remember exactly which one it was, but it was on that left side of the field along the sideline and the receiver stop to turn around for a back shoulder throw.
00:14:24
Now the throw was thrown a good 10 yards behind the receiver.
00:14:27
Uncatchable right there, made the bull uncatchable, in my opinion and from a lot of people that I talked to that should have just been called uncatchable.
00:14:36
No pass interference.
00:14:37
But the cornerback, as he was trying to stop well, his arm was dragging behind him and open handed, open handed, not pressing on anything.
00:14:48
Getting see anything? Move.
00:14:50
You didn't see the guy's jersey move.
00:14:52
You didn't see the guys are move or nothing.
00:14:54
Just open handed.
00:14:55
His hand just kind of slid across the guy, you know? And they said pass interference.
00:15:02
But he it was like, utter and complete Notre incidental contact, right? I mean, that's that's how I see it.
00:15:10
If you don't agree with me and you go back, you look at that.
00:15:14
You go see that play.
00:15:16
Tell me if you agree with me or not, right, because I honestly think that I should have been called pass interference.
00:15:21
Um, there was another hit that was called It was a past.
00:15:28
Our no roughing helmet to helmet is what happened.
00:15:36
And yes, it was. But it was incidental.
00:15:40
And this wasn't on the Colts.
00:15:41
This was This was on the Falcons, and I personally think that that was incidental.
00:15:44
The guy tried to go low and the guy who had the ball dropped and because he dropped the defenders home after you came in, hit the other guy just barely.
00:15:55
Not not hard, but barely.
00:15:56
And it was t wild right? It was T y Hilton who got hit and he still caught the ball.
00:16:03
Got first down and everything.
00:16:05
But what can you do about stuff like that? The guy was honestly, our trajectory to hit T y in the side and then t y dropped like he normally does.
00:16:15
Now I will say this teamwide normally after he catches the ball.
00:16:19
If you think about take a big hit, he drops to the ground.
00:16:22
T why was dropping to the ground? The defender went load so it not to hit him in the helmet, ended up hitting him in the helmet.
00:16:28
Got called personal power.
00:16:32
Stuff like that.
00:16:33
Even though it happens, I don't think it should be called it.
00:16:37
It's all a matter of circumstance, you know.
00:16:40
The referees need to go over that and look at it and be like, Yeah, that happened.
00:16:44
But it wasn't intentional.
00:16:47
You know, the guy obviously was trying not to hit the guy in the helmet, but the person with the ball moved in such a way toe where it calls the helmet to helmet and I love T.
00:17:00
Why I don't want to get hurt.
00:17:01
Then he's already hurt with Quad, but that's a call that I wouldn't have called.
00:17:05
Not disagree with completely.
00:17:07
Um, but the Colts are going up against the Raiders here pretty soon. Hey, I want to welcome everybody.
00:17:11
That's that's watching here.
00:17:13
Don't forget.
00:17:14

00:17:32
Um, also longer here on sportscaster.
00:17:37
Go to typing U S in in the search More go ahead and follow everybody and that that network that's unwrap Sports Network That's a group that I am affiliated with and I represent represent the cult for unwrapped sports network, great group of guys.
00:17:54
They do a good job covering anything from NFL all the way to professional wrestling.
00:17:59
All right, so go ahead and follow these guys as well, but that's pretty much my whole show right here that the course took a big hit at wide receiver.
00:18:14
They took a hit back at the safety position and on the defensive line in the process of beating these here.
00:18:22
Falcons yesterday.
00:18:27
Now I gotta go and face Oakland, a team who's got a lot of good, strong youth this coming Sunday, and I honestly, I think they're gonna beat him.
00:18:41
But we're missing some key weapons on both sides of the ball right now, and I hope that the Colts can overcome Jealous.
00:18:48
It's called next man up, right? But how about like next men? Because there's quite a few men that need to step up in the absence of some of the superstars that we have in the league.
00:18:59
Hooker.
00:19:00
I don't care who you who you are.
00:19:01
If you don't think that he is a superstar in this league, you're going look, because last year the Colts were third in the NFL in allowing plays 25 yards.
00:19:16
Deeper as it, you know, they allowed the third fewest in the NFL, and the reason for that was really cooker because he was targeted.
00:19:25
I think only like 13 times or something like that, the entire and he played the entire season.
00:19:32
You know, no quarterback wants to throw in the league hookers around, and now leaks gonna be missing for six weeks that's gonna open up the back side of the field people quarterback, especially guys like Derek Carr and another guy that we're gonna be going up against Patrick Holmes.
00:19:50
You know, in that time frame that they're known for being a bill for a beat, and I'm a little bit afraid.
00:19:57
So Carnie Wilson gonna have to step up and really play in Milly Coker's absence because Clayton Geathers caught that interception at the three against the Falcons.
00:20:08
But that was his first interception of his entire career.
00:20:11
Right, honey, that's not something you expect from him.
00:20:14
You expect him to be up in the box and defending run plays and covering tight ends.
00:20:20
But now, that center of the field, we colts need to really go back into more of a man to man coverage.
00:20:28
They had to play a lot more man to man because that's what their corners are now more better at than last year when they played a lot of zone.
00:20:37
They're leaving all these empty spots in his own for good quarterbacks like Matt Ryan.
00:20:42
Uh, like I believe, you know, car.
00:20:45
I think their cars a really good quarterback.
00:20:47
Patrick Mahomes.
00:20:48
He showed us.
00:20:49
You know, last year in the playoffs that he could pick his own apart like nobody's business.
00:20:53
So we need to switch it up a lot more and play a lot more man to man coverage.
00:20:58
We got the guys to do it, you know, between periods here.
00:21:02
Rockets in, uh, Maur Quincy Wilson.
00:21:07
Well, for those guys complain and a man coverage, they should play more man to man coverage and send an extra linebacker on the blitz and five people on.
00:21:16
Let's don't just try to get home with just four guys, Especially when you got guys like your ball sheared out.
00:21:22
Especially now that type one Lewis is out.
00:21:24
Oh, Chemical to Ray was injured in a couple weeks ago.
00:21:27
He's trying to get his legs fresh mackerel up under.
00:21:31
So yeah, I will get back with you later this week about the colt to preview the Colton Raiders.
00:21:38
But until then, that's pretty much what I see about what happened with Indianapolis Colts and the state of the team as it sits right now.
00:21:46
So until next time I'm Lord stolen.
00:21:49
This is cole slaw.
00:21:52
I hope all of you have a good one

00:17:14
Check me out up here on patri on, right? I just opened that up.
00:17:18
