I was not ready for this to be sideways.
Oh, my goodness.
Now, what is going on? Everybody For Buffalo fanatics.
My name is Joe DeRosa.
And you can call me Buffalo Joe Streaming live to you on Sportscaster.
This is Week two of my pre game show, where I go into a little bit of detail about the Buffalo Bills match up for today.
I give you what I'm excited about.
I give you what the hell scares May and we keep going into more detail each and every week.
I'm thankful that all of you could tune in with me today.
Why don't we get going before I actually do Start? I wanna give a shout out to all my friends, all the buffalo fanatics that are at the home opener right now I'm sending you guys a lot of love, a lot of good energy.
And I hope you guys were having an absolute blast, drinking a lot, eating a lot and having a good time toe every Bills fan that's at that home opener today, giving you nothing but love.
I'm so jealous because I'm here right now in Poughkeepsie, like it seven hours away from Buffalo.
So it sucks because I can't be there today.
But I hope everyone is having a great time.
And with that being said, Let's get into it.
Last week, Bill's versus Giants.
The Bills pulled out the win on the road second week in a row, second week and MetLife, and they went 28 to 14 against the Giants.
Impressive performance from Alan.
A couple of huge plays from John Brown be easily from Singletary.
Ah, whole often seem to contribute.
It was great to watch.
Depends had a couple soft miscues, but apart from that, seem to be shut down after the first drive with Barclay had his touchdown.
It was a good win and a good game and very encouraging for the Bills.
But in my opinion, this week is even more daunting for the Buffalo Bills.
Yes, despite the Bangles having an omen to record despite them being seen as this week team, an easy win in our home opener should be steamrolling No, it is not a steam rolling by any means.
The furthest thing from it, actually, and I'm gonna tell you why right now, but let's start with My biggest concern is the Cincinnati Bengals offensive attack and how they're gonna match up against the Buffalo defense.
And, like I said, they might be open to.
And yes, last week they went up over 500 total yards of offense.
Reasons to be worried.
If you are a Bills fan who's watching and and reasons to not be worried, if you're a Bills fan who's watching that and thinking, Wow, we have the next week at home like, you know, they just played a home game against the Niners should be easy.
No, it's not gonna be easy, and I'm gonna tell you why. Right now.
Let's start out with the Bengals passing attack Now just fight them being over to They are number two in the lead with passing offense.
And for good reason.
There's still complete, sweetly solid weapons on that offensive front.
Not to mention Andy Dalton is thriving in their new head coaches system.
He's a great timing pastor there.
They're playing the system to restraints, and he's doing well.
The team hasn't been devoid of points.
They've been going toe to toe with each team until the end of the game against the Niners.
They are a tough offense with good weapons.
You have Tyler Boyd emerging as a quality, receiving the reason the Bills went to the playoffs.
Now he's coming to Buffalo, and he's been a quality offensive weapon, kind of emerging for them.
You have John Ross, the speedster, the quick stir that 4 to 3, that record time.
Who's coming toe life this season after two stagnant years in the last years of Marvin Lewis? This offense is catering to imperfectly, and it's a big concern.
If you're a passing attack that has to deal with someone.
Who's that quick? You have Tyler Kroft, who, in my opinion when he is healthy, is one of the best tight ends in the league.
He seems to have been forgotten about by the media and my fans alike because he's been hurt so much.
But when that dude is on, he is as threatening of a tight end as it gets.
The last time he was in Buffalo, he put up two touchdowns and he was phenomenal and he's they're playing today.
And yes, maybe the injuries haven't made him full strength, but he's still a formidable tight end that you have to take seriously.
And even though the Bangles rushing attack is 32nd in the league, Joe mixing in Geo Bernard are not pushover running backs, their quality talents great, our backs and shifty backs that can get through a line and do damage in your Russian front.
So they are not a team that you should treat like the Dolphins that you should treat like some some low life team that's just not doing well.
They're tough, and they've played top in each game, despite what the score will tell you and despite what the record tells you.
So this is a huge test for the Buffalo defense and quick note.
Let's let's admire the gauntlet of running backs that the Bills defense have had to face in the 1st 3 weeks.
You got a levy on Belle Week one ready to go if, say, Quan Barkley, Week to now you got Joe mixing in Geo Bernard two headed attack next week.
If Sony Michelle Birkhead, Jaime's wife, you have Derrick Henry.
After that, it's It's crazy to me that they're getting put up against such tough backs, and I love it because you got a passion.
What this test early on to prove that you're a top team in the league.
But besides the point, the Bangles are tough, and this is a tough game for the Bills defense.
They're not a team that you could take lightly.
And, in my opinion, the biggest key to the Bills winning this game is that defense being able to disrupt the rhythm of Dalton and the offense.
You got to get to Dalton early and often.
You've got to establish that the running game can't run on your front when that happens.
And you can get to Dalton because two of their left sideline minute gone and they're starting new people.
You have the ability to disrupt his rhythm, to get him off with his receivers, to throw high, to throw low, to make mistakes.
Combine that with coverage is in the secondary, and you have a good chance of beating in.
But don't take it lightly, and I'm sure the Bills are taking it lightly.
I trust McDermott.
I trust the entire defensive unit.
I just Leslie Frazier.
Excuse me, I can't talk today, so I have faith in them, but it's definitely gonna be a tough, tough matchup against a very good offense.
Defensively, I'm not as concerned, although the offensive line is gonna have its hands full with Dunlap and, uh, excuse me, I completely blank.
But besides the point, they're gonna have their hands full.
It's a tough pass rush.
But if they can get past that and give Alan protection, he can exploit a week line back in.
Corn is somewhat weak secondary.
The absence of on Chen's perfect looms huge for the Cincinnati defense, who last week had a pretty terrible game.
And you want to hope that the Bills can exploit the same weaknesses that you saw them go up against in San Francisco.
And that was mainly from running backs and tight end.
So it would have been huge tohave Crofton Singletary today, actually, and it's very inconvenient that both are out because I found that that was going to be the biggest X factor was a healthy crossed that hasn't seen action this year, and Singletary, who's been great in each of the games he's played with each of the touches or all the touches that he's had the opportunity to work with.
However, we still have Frank war veteran back who's proven that he's still capable of handling the workhorse level load.
We still have deejay Elden, a veteran running back who's threatening in the backfield and out for pest past catching passes again.
I apologize that on stutter and going off the dome here, so there's still weapons there.
But this is honestly a big game for Dawson, Knox and Tommy Sweeney, who we're gonna have to be able to show off today.
The tight end's gotta get involved and get through the linebackers and show that they can catch passes in this offense.
Make the big place when they need to.
If Alan can get the ball out to his tight ends, that offense is going to thriving in Cincinnati because you'll have easily being more open.
John Brown's gonna be able to exploit their corners.
I have stay thin, the offense if everyone can execute properly, and that starts with the running backs and the tight ends.
So that's what I'm excited for today.
But even more so, I'm also excited to see Josh Alan again then, and I'm still cautiously optimistic with him.
I'm not writing the greatest quarterback of all time trained yet or that he is Ah, you know, proven talent in this league.
He still got ways to go.
I liked his decision making last week.
If we remember from my last broadcast, I did say that one of my concerns with him was making the right decisions, not throwing his body to the wolves, getting rid of the bone he needs to and protecting the ball.
And he seemed to do that just fine.
Last week, Grands it got away with a couple of batted passes that were almost picked off, but for the most part he was doing well.
And when they slow down in the third quarter, I really saw it more as a play calling issue and not Josh Allen's problem.
But that's to be debated for another time.
I'm excited to see him progress this week.
I hope he can keep that same level of play going where he's smart with this decision, making where he can look down the field and hit the open receiver in stride or quick timing past, not make any dumb decisions and really just tried his best to kind of replicate the success that San Francisco had last year with her plan last game with Jimmy J.
That's my hope for Josh, and we'll see if it happens today.
The home opener exudes a different type of energy and happy that we're playing the steam at home as opposed to a way.
I'd be 10 times more nervous if we were playing Cincinnati on the road despite them losing last week.
I like that. It's a home game.
It's the home opener.
If the team could somehow find a way to win today and go three, you know that is absolutely gigantic, because I'll be honest.
I don't have a lot of faith in the New England game. It's New England.
He unfortunately is perpetually dominated.
The Bills and years.
Every year he's been in the league, so my hopes are very high for that game.
So this is a bust.
Went if you could go three and 12 Tennessee.
I think you have a great chance of really establishing yourself as a playoff contender in the league cause I think Buffalo could beat Tennessee, even on the road.
But we'll talk about that in a couple of weeks.
Right now we're talking Cincinnati and Buffalo.
I'm excited for the match up.
I'm hoping that everyone could get involved.
Everyone executes properly.
I'm hoping that the defense get handled.
A quick timing that's coming from Dalton.
Disrupt his rhythm, get them off track and get Dalton to make dumb decisions again.
Shutting down the running game is key.
If you could do that adult, it is known to make that turn over past.
Make a dumb decision.
I can guarantee you he's going to for at least one interception today if the defense did their homework right.
But that's yet to be seen.
But that is my pregame show.
Ladies and gentlemen, I am going to be coming back for halftime, so you want to talk to me? Leave me comments, fan mail, discussed the game or tell me how awful you think I am.
Go for it right here and I'll come back in half time and read them.
