get on there and I'm waiting for us to go live.
Sit with me for a second, sportscaster.
I'm we influenced to go live as I refresh my sportscast on.
We are live on Sportscaster.
What is going on? Everybody welcome back to the channel.
Over here on Sportscaster.
Today's goal is to recap what happened in Green Bay versus Minnesota and the Bear or Minnesota.
The Packers game in Green Bay this past Sunday. One o'clock start.
Um yeah, Packers victory, right, 21 to 16 and we're gonna go through it.
So these are my actual These air, the game logs that I source and put together myself after all the games is for all 32 NFL teams.
If you're interested in this, it's over on page drown.
But I'll start, and I'll focus on what's happening on the Packers side.
We'll talk about the Viking side, of course, obviously influenced by the Packers defense.
What happens there? I'll say one thing right now.
The Packers defense look sharp.
I mean, second overall right now, or came into last week third overall in total defense.
I didn't actually get to see I didn't look I should have looked before this.
What they are overall, I guess I can quickly do that.
Um, I'm not sure from Seoul to be showing premium stats, but let me just I probably should be showing premium stats of next Gen.
So I'm not gonna We're not Dexter.
And pfft, I'm not doing that, but yet they're definitely top three.
And overall defense still potentially even moved up to the two were one spot.
You have to check in on that.
The defense is look fantastic.
Right? Everybody, um, welcomes anybody who's watching.
This is about 10 of you in here.
We're gonna go through the Packers game.
We're gonna break it down.
I got the game logs up.
I can outdo it a little bit. There we go.
Get everything on the screen.
So yeah, it's a defense that looked fantastic.
Week one, albeit an injured and just terrible looking much travesty team in Week one on a Thursday night.
And now you get them against Minnesota and a team that wants to run the ball in Minnesota a ton, right? Even in a game where they trailed by so so much for cousin still only throws the ball 32 times, so cousins look absolutely terrible.
I think the Packers might lose this game if they just keep feeding.
Album Cook right cousins Interception in the end zone was just awful. Decision.
I mean, nothing there, and he just still forces it.
I was like playing Madden, right? You just You just still force it to the end zone when you panic.
You just had the X button, but let's break down.
This game will start the Packers offense.
Um, so welcome here.
If your new there's about 14 of you watching welcome, you can feel free to chime in, throw a comment into their I'll definitely be sure to reach out.
I'll definitely be sure to answer it.
We can chat about it.
So starting on the Packers side of the ball on offense I mean, the game doesn't start off anybody.
If you watch that, you know they start of 21.
Nothing in the first quarter and they don't score again.
Ah, couple of mishaps in the second quarter in the third quarter, in terms of just wacky turnovers, the ball being ripped out of players, hands here and there.
Rogers for the most part of that looked very good, right? 22 of 34 a couple of drops that really are gonna get accounted as an incompletion for him.
More so where drops 209 yards.
You did all this damage in the first quarter.
Right? Two touchdowns.
The first quarter touchdown to Jamal Williams.
Touchdown to Geronimo Allison.
I was hoping to see more 11 personnel, but the second the Packers got up that big, they didn't need the 11 person, All right, so we saw Drama Miles, and it seemed like the Packers we're going to play more.
11 personnel We talked about this week one that after week one Packers had to play a lot of two waters fever sets, not 11 personnel.
If you're not familiar, 11 personnel just means somebody moves into the slot. Right.
You have a slot wide receiver.
11 Personnel's three wide receiver sets drawn.
Milestone is a slot wide receiver with N V s on the outside and Davante Adams on the other side.
But seeing as they didn't play a lot of 11 personal week one because they kept an extra tight in tight end in, they kept on extra blocker in to kind of stop and hold that pack or bears rush defense imagined week to you'd see.
Ah, lot more 11 personnel.
And it seemed like starting off the game in the first quarter and part of the second quarter.
There's a lot of Geronimo Allison on the field, right? He caught a touchdown overall, finished with a stat line of four receptions for 25 yards on five targets.
He was way more active in this game than the last game, but they still dinner on a ton of 11 personnel and again, them getting up big is likely.
The reason for that, Um, so that's something to take away that I guess I could talk about from the offense that I would like to see moving forward.
Maybe it doesn't even happen as their big favorites eight and 1/2 point favorites once again against the Broncos at home.
But I want to see what they look like, an 11% l'm or something that they've thrived in years past.
I want to see how Matt look for roles that out there, but obviously game flow is going to impact that if you're winning by a lot.
You don't have to be running three waters.
He resets all the time in terms of trying to have clock management.
So 11 personnel stood out.
Thought Rogers was fine in terms of the receiving course.
I like to see Aaron Rodgers or Aaron Jones, right.
Active in the receiving game he was active in as they lined up is a receiver as well.
I mean, he had his career high in rushing attempts.
At 23 he had his career high and overall touches with 27 6 targets.
I don't actually look at this, but six Targets sounds like it's a career high for Aaron Jones, the guy who they lined up as a wide receiver all over the field.
He had 150 yards total in this game on a total of 27 touches ended up getting into the end zone on the ground.
So Aaron Jones look really sharp in this game again.
The game flow getting up 21.
Nothing makes it a lot easier to just hand the ball off there, and Jones still only played 58% of the snaps.
You still Jamal Williams out there for 45% of the snaps or so.
So they're still in sort of a split in terms of who's on the field.
But when they wanted to run the ball still give nine touches to Jamal Williams on the ground.
Overall, Jamal wins 12 touches in this game, which is actually crazy to just think about, but still primarily, they were focusing on feeding Jim Aaron Jones Iraq when he was on the field, which might become a little bit worrisome in terms of like a defense predicting that you're going to hand the ball off for at least throw it to Aaron Jones when he's on the field right, 27 touches on 58% of the snaps.
That's pretty telling that when this guy's on the field is a really good chance he's getting the ball, which is a little bit worrisome.
But, I mean, just look at the amount of times that running back such double Jamal Williams 12 Aaron Jones 27 39 touches in this game overall for the Packers, both in the air and on the ground went to the running backs.
Obviously, that's skewed by 32 of them going on the ground to the running backs, just in general, being up by a lot. That makes some sense.
But really something we haven't seen out of the Packers in a while, right? At least being able to successfully run the ball.
If I quickly do the math right, I mean yards per carry.
I think the stats garbage, but 5.
4 yards per carry, continuing to have just a career high like record setting yards.
Spiteri Record setting.
How many of his touches go for first downs? Jamaal Williams look decent out there, right? Especially in receiving game.
He's been known as this good pass blocker and receiving back for the team that pretty much held up Week two against Viking.
So morning Max look sharp in a game where when you get out ahead, you want to kind of establish the run and keep the ball moving and keep the clock turning.
It's exactly what they were able to do.
Talented backs in the backfield, especially Jones.
Good to see him start to get his start to get his touches right. A career high.
Maybe that's something telling of what's to come if the Packers get ahead.
Still, Roger's not throwing a lot only 34 times, but again makes sense because a game flow.
I just like to say this.
I've been saying it for years.
The Monte Adam's just unguardable right.
Seven catches, 106 yards on nine targets most of most of the game.
You just cooking eggs.
Xavier Rhodes Just He eats this guy's lunch nonstop.
Davante Adams didn't get in the end zone, but the previous four matchups against Roads he scored a touchdown on him.
He just eats this guy's lunch.
He went over 100 yards, I think, for the first time in two plus years against Xavier Rhodes, seven catches in our target's.
Nobody can guard him like, if you're gonna throw it Xavier Rhodes out there who I think is much worse than a lot of other people think like I get it.
He was injured last year and 1/2 or so, maybe even two years.
But if you're telling me that a quarterback's getting older and now he's even injured, why do I think he's gonna get better, right, like why would I say that? I think he gets better there so No, I think that him being worse is definitely true. Like e.
I think he's on the downfall of his career.
Eggs, every roads, but still like nobody.
Congar Davante Adams.
It's just insane.
Even Stefan Stefan Gilmore.
I believe it was last year with the Patriots.
Don't Adam still had got his against them right out in the end zone.
CIA terms The Packers side was really good overall.
Seeing the offense.
We saw Jake Kumerow catch a ball right, the preseason darling for like two years now in Green Bay.
Gotta catch for 12 yards.
We saw Mercedes Lewis see another target this week.
The guy that we didn't see too much, though, Ah, Week one.
The big takeaway or one of the big takeaways for me was that the Packers had 30 attempts, throwing right Aaron Rodgers tend to tight end six the Jimmy Graham three to Lewis and then one to the rookie Robert Tonia again.
They didn't have to throw that much in this game, but Roger still through 34 times more than last week on Lee.
One target to tight end, no targets for Jimmy Graham.
He's on the field a lot, Jimmy Graham actually more snaps this week but used primarily as a blocker and then number two.
No targets for opportunity.
And only one for Mercedes was so very interesting to see that the heart that they wanna get tight ends more involved, especially in the red zone in middle of the field.
Then we only see one target after a very nice week, one where you saw 33% of the targets, probably even overkill.
10 out of 30 going to side ends.
Only see one out of 34 attempts going to a tight end and was an incompletion to Mercedes Lewis soap, something definitely to monitor.
They They heart.
Also in the off season of Aaron Jones being used, Maura's a receiver.
We touched on that Six targets caught four balls for 34 yards.
He's explosive, right? Whether he's in the back field, catching the ball, running this guy's explosives, so why not get him in open spaces of receiver? Makes a lot of sense to me.
So good to see that the running backs had overall seven receptions on 10 targets for running backs.
Very good, so I would actually rather see you running backs T 10 targets and tight ends.
For sure, they're just more upside there, and it's just more effective than running the ball.
In my opinion, if you're throwing a short past Aaron Jones, he has much more upside to get three yards and be the linebacker.
Then he does when he's running the ball on first intent, right? Eso in facing the entire defensive line for the most part, and then your banking that on his talent as much as you're banking on your offensive line, beating their defensive lines.
So overall, the offense.
I thought it looked good.
Yes, it's stalled, but they really like It was just a weird game.
Um, you saw a couple of Dr just completely stall.
You saw the Packers in the second quarter looked like they were fine.
Going to keep moving down the field were turnover from Geronimo Allison.
Couple more weird turns in that game, but the defense really stepped up.
And in a game where you're often stalls in the whole second half right again, weird place to kind of drop some of those.
It was good to see the defense step up, really just touching on the defense for the most part.
Yes, a 75 yard touchdown run by Dalvin Cook.
The guy looks explosive.
Dalvin Cook 20 touches, 454 yards.
Even if you take out the 75 yard run, he still had a decent game right here, like 19 touches for 80 yards or so, Um, on the ground.
The rookie Alexander Madison and limited role continues to see.
Um continues to have success.
Four carries this week for 25 yards.
Amir Abdulah had one on the ground for two yards, so overall I mean a lot of their rushing stats rescued by 75 year touchdown.
But Dalvin Cook is actually legit.
Uh, he had a great game and probably had a better name if they kept feeding him.
Should have had another pick in that game.
If Joe here can catch the ball on an interception that pretty much at his hands and then one sack.
So last year, because it was very elusive in the game that Clay Matthews I called for the roughing the passer and then they went in overtime, right.
We're actually ended in a tie, but this year he was getting one sack, but he was getting away from the rest once again.
It was actually a very elusive in the pocket.
Which is weird to say about Kirk Cousins.
I think it's weird to say, maybe I'm not paying close enough attention to the other games, but doesn't seem like the type of guy who evades the rush that much.
And he was evading it left and right in this game probably should have, like five sex on this guy, to be honest with you.
But overall, yeah, it's what you expect.
Adam feeling had a target's caught five for 75 yards.
The one thing I will say is Chad, Bt only had one catch onto targets for 61 yards.
Sherman Williams, who played decent week one okay week want, especially having Alan Robinson go up against him.
Move into the slot to kind of attacked her mom. Williams.
Come on, Williams Last week.
Much worse, especially when you get just toasted for a 61 yard reception to Chad.
BB right Mom Williams is in the slot guarding child beauty, though and Shabby had a 61 year reception.
Stroman Williams overruns the route, and it wasn't even that he got cooked by B B.
It's just disgusting.
But your mom Williams, so far this year, has given up eight receptions for 109 yards.
And he's getting up over 90 of those yards to after the catch right, which a lot of that's obviously coming on.
A 61 yard catch and run about, yeah, B B.
But again, eight receptions for 109 yards.
Not the greatest again skewed by one big catch by B B.
But I think he's the main liability.
A 36 year old defensive back.
I love you, Mom Williams.
I mean, obviously the Pick six in the Super Bowl year.
It was an absolute staple of that defense.
But, I mean, he's the liability on this defense, for sure, a defense that looks really good.
Now they're actually going to face a good slot corner back or cook good slot wide receiver this week, whether it's day John Hamilton for the Broncos or probably I imagine Emmanuel Sanders gets moved into the slot quite a bit.
Expo four wide receivers sets.
The Broncos usually operate as a 2 to 3 wide receiver set offense? Um, not a lot of guys see snaps after that outside of Portland.
Some Emmanuel Sanders on the outside.
It's then Hamilton and 11 personnel in the slot a lot, but I would imagine that you're going to see them.
Kind of just pushed Sanders into the slot.
The kind of attack and feast on, um, attack and feast on this match up against against Mom William so later in the week will kind of look forward to that match up.
We'll talk about it, Break it down.
I'll probably be doing that on Friday.
We'll do kind of a look at the Packers Broncos game, potentially tomorrow, but probably on Friday on.
Then we will live stream during the game for about an hour.
Probably the second half works best for me, but we'll see right now the defense look fine.
The pressure was getting there.
Um, coverage looks fantastic outside of the worries.
A little bit I have for about two.
Mom blames, expecting when they started facing better saw corners.
Always slot wide receivers, but pressure look good as well.
Like both Preston, both Zaveri todavia Smith, both I'm getting back there forcing pressure overall rush defense, obviously the 75 year touchdown.
But outside of that looked actually okay, especially against a running back that I would consider if he stays healthy.
One of the elite five in this league.
So, yeah, I think this is it. I think that's a gang.
Um, we got through it about 10 15 minutes.
It's a quick just recap of weak, too.
I felt the Packers obviously worries.
I'm not seeing much scoring in the second half, but I think they moved the ball overall. Well.
What they were trying to do, for the most part, was pretty evident when the running backs touched the ball.
But in both the receiving game and on the ground, Really, you have 32 rushing times by just running backs alone, and Aaron Rodgers only throws about 34 times.
It's an interesting game, right on the money factor in receptions for running backs, 39 overall touches for the running backs in this game.
Not much for the tight end.
So not much tied an involvement, which is interesting to see on the defensive end.
Yet. Look, it looked fine on defense.
Adam feeling you're used to him seeing a lot of targets, not in the slot as much anymore this year, so far as they acquired Chad BB and put him there and really want him to stay there.
And Adam, feeling on the outside film look, find their stuff on digs at a couple of penalties.
What, we should actually bring up weird penalties for Minnesota in this game.
Honestly, they got screwed over by a couple of times, the offensive illegal pick in the end zone to take away a Stefan Diggs touchdown.
He probably looks a lot better.
At the end of that game, he had three catches called back for penalties to offensive pass interference, one on him, one on a pick play in the end zone.
So days actually look good.
You're just misses an interception.
If he goes through the deflection on that on that play against digs or digs scored the 49 year in touchdown.
If he goes for the deflection, right with the safety help or whatever he was playing on that play, he probably breaks.
That pass up goes for the interception that I get it. It's all instinctive.
So he looked fine.
Dalvin, cook and receiving game looks good for Minnesota, moving forward overall.
I mean, that would Cook has had a fantastic game, guys over 190 yards total. Writing a touchdown.
They kind of limited cow Rudolf right.
Three catches, nine yards and five targets.
God, we're off usually kills these Packers, at least in my opinion.
So yeah, overall defense look fine.
Obviously, defense is the reason that they probably won this game.
If you had to press Rogers and the offense a little bit more, I would imagine they would have done a little bit more.
But it seemed like they were very much fine with handing the ball off as much as they wanted to Jones and Jamal Williams, 30 to Kerry's total for those guys on the ground, those guys combined it for about 100 and 44 yards.
This is the recap Goodwin packs to know if you're a Packer fan, you can follow me on Twitter at salvage the effects of your anybody, right? Follow me if you want.
Definitely reach out for your Packer fan love talking the Packers.
My cousin was here This past weekend.
If you watched the game live, probably caught a glimpse of two of him when I was streaming during the second half is very fun having him here to watch that.
So looking forward a week, three against the Broncos at home.
Once again look 88 and 1/2 point favorite in some spot.
They should win this game pretty easily.
Joe Flacco and Broncos defense That looks not as great as people are expecting.
Getting Torched by Oakland and Derek Are we two against the Bears? The Bears.
They just looked terrible.
So they're gonna ask you all defensive stats, but still, the Bears were able to get it done.
So that's where Matt Thanks for tuning in.
Guys will be back, probably on Friday to look at in preview.
This Bronco's Packers match up and I would be streaming live on Sunday for about the second half or so.
Probably the third quarter somewhere in there for about an hour.
So appreciate it.
I am also to a known sportscaster Fantasy football league.
Feel really good about.
My team was able to pick up a couple of players, Devon Smith being one of them filling in for Maggie.
Got Michael got for a few weeks.
Really love that spot this week for Devon Smith against the Miami team that clearly is putrid right? 21 a half point underdogs.
But also Amaury Cooper is gonna have a baby and Howard against him.
Devon Smith just opened for just all the goodies right on that side of the ball. No makeup.
Fitzpatrick seems really good for Devon Smith this week.
Happy to have him in that 20 men league to know to start in there were hoping to take down for his place in that sportscasters league.
If you're watching this and you're in that league, I mean, somebody's got something's gotta beat me.
I know there's a couple other teams, right? There's 20 teams in there so many of teams or two ago.
Um, but yeah, it's just I mean, I have the best quarterback in the world, Josh, Alan, not just getting the Mark Jackson probably is, but, I mean, just down to my absolute monster.
I'm not gonna talk about too much, But last week it just seemed like where the guy was that was facing me just couldn't catch a break.
Stefan Diggs! Tyler Eifert even catches a touchdown.
Have the head of backup tight end come in.
How did Henry goes down? Who else would I have in there? Um, Davante Adams goes off against a big Xavier Rhodes for over 100 yards.
Yeah, it was just as great all around. Loved it.
All right, So peace out gang.
Appreciate it, Sportscaster.
You're You know that I'll see in the next one.
