Who Dat nation today? It's a little bit of a sad day, you know? Took a tough loss yesterday against the L. A. Rams.
In a way, uh, obviously Drew Brees went down with an injury, so that sucks.
So here I am, still growing out this post game show.
All right? So yesterday the Rams defeated the Saints 27 to 9, I believe.
What's the final score? Um, first couple drives with Drew Brees.
We looked a little shaky, but it looks like we're gonna be able to bounce back and win the game.
Come back and, you know, play well and then Ah, Andrew Speed. Mr.
Blot, Aaron Don would hit Drew Brees right in the thumb.
His right thumb, if that lead to him missing the rest of the game.
Teddy Bridgewater came in in.
The offense has never really got going.
Hey, let us down the few out a few times to kicked three field goals, but we just were not able to put the ball in the end zone against a very good Rams defense.
Um, everyone's blaming Teddy for the lost and this and that, and to be honest.
I think he didn't play back.
To be honest with you, I thought he actually managed the game very well.
I thought, I mean, obviously there's some decisions that need to be made a little quicker.
You excuse me, person that some decisions that need to be made a little quicker as faras reading the ball and whatnot goes.
But I think, um, for the most part, he played well.
It's just a matter of getting the Bondi and don't and the Rams have a very good secondary and good linebackers who were just on top of it the whole game.
Um, so, yeah, no big deal.
Um And then So the report came out this morning that Drew Brees will officially be out expected to be six weeks, So I don't think it could be longer in the six weeks.
Drew Brees is very tough.
He's a very he's gonna try to just rehab quickly as possible.
Like he's literally going into surgery today in L. A.
Just go ahead and get it over with so we can get back as quickly as possible.
Um, just the only bummer about that is our bye week.
Is it until week nine.
Bye. Week this week. Nine.
So, like, even if he comes back in six weeks, our guest this week eight. My bad.
Even if he does come back in six weeks.
This, like our bye week.
So he's missing all these games, and he's gonna you know, hub bhai.
We talked, uh, help recover some a little bit longer, you know, but it's still a bummer, but, uh, yeah, So it's gonna be teddy time to step up out there, um, and lead the team.
You know, we're playing some teams.
I think Teddy could be for sure.
It's just trying to come in as a backup quarterback when you're not expecting to play is a lot harder than people think.
You know, now that he's gonna be the guy for the next six weeks or whatever, I'm gonna give it Florida six.
That's what I'm gonna say.
And I say 4 to 6 weeks, I think I think Drew Brees could come back before that bye week because, like I said, he's tough, he's rehabbing it.
And as soon as he's able to grip that football and throw it, I think he's gonna play.
Um That's just the kind of guy Drew Brees is.
He had a back injury in 2015.
He was supposed to miss four games, only missed one.
So he's a definitely a very, very tough quarterback.
And I don't see him missing full six weeks, especially in a competitive season like we're having.
But, you know, I'd rather be safe than sorry.
So we don't miss him any longer.
Um, but yeah, like I was saying, It is Teddy's team now, and so I'm sure he's gonna prepare a lot better.
Um, he's gonna have more time to run with the ones on offense.
And you think, and then everyone's gonna have a little bit more time to figure out how Teddy throws and how Teddy manages the offense and whatnot.
But I think we'll be fine.
Guys, Listen, Drew Brees is not our whole team.
Yes, he's our main factor of our team.
He's not our hold him.
No, he's just not.
We have Alvin Kamara.
We have Mike Thomas, Ted Ginn, all these playmakers, guys, We have all of these.
Playmaker. There's no need to panic.
A Drew Brees is out all right.
There's no need to panic.
Our defense really stepped up yesterday.
For the most part, me, they had to be on the field a lot.
So that's why they gave up 27.
But I was very impressed with our defense assigned from the Cooper Cup 70 something yard touchdown.
I was extremely impressed with our defense.
Um, and I'm not really one toe.
Blame officials like I hate it, But why's it always gotta be against L.
There's some some stupid stuff happens against officials in us, you know what I mean? It's just what's going on, what is going on.
But like that fumble recovery for a touchdown, that should have been a touchdown.
Anyways, um, I got called back and he blew the whistle like, 20 yards down the field.
Like, how are you gonna call it in complete past 20 yards down the field? You let the play go and then you go back and you look at it so that cost us.
Obviously, would you agree is being out? I would have been a huge touchdown and would've changed momentum.
Yeah, Final score was 27 9 but still tack on seven to that.
It's a game, and we have momentum, and you just never know what's gonna happen.
You know, you never know if we're gonna go for two.
You just still? No, with Sean P.
Okay, play like that changes the whole mo mentum of the game, but it is what it is.
I'm not gonna sit here and dwell on it.
You know, I honestly wants drew it out.
I just Teddy just didn't really look very prepared, and neither did really the rest of the offense.
They didn't look prepared to have to play without Drew Brees.
So, I mean, I think we were I thought we were gonna leave this second.
I saw Teddy coming because I knew it was Drew Brees came back in the second half.
It was around, but be, Yeah, I'm not sleeping on Teddy.
You know, our offense will be fine.
Our defense stepped up big time.
So now that that's out of the way, some thoughts Dang, this ice man, This sucks.
It's just I think if we're able to win like four out of 63 out of six of the games, just half of the games and drew Brees will be out for.
You know, Let me look at the schedule Teddy has to go up against this week.
Okay, I think we're able to be Seattle.
You know, they've been X.
Their secondary has been getting exposed all season long so far.
And, um, I don't expect that the change, you know, long it's Teddy's able to get it to my guys like Mike Thomas. Take again.
If he's back next week, this and that will be fine.
All right, So we asked.
We're at Seattle this upcoming week, Okay? And then we're at home against Dallas.
I think we're going to get absolutely destroyed.
If I'm being honest with you, I think we're just going to get pummeled.
Backup quarterback Can't be Dallas, guys.
I'm sorry, Dallas.
It's just on a roll there. Just really good.
And we're gonna be having a lot of momentum with an easy win this week because they play Arizona.
And then the following we would play Tampa Bay at home.
I think we can be Tampa Bay at home.
Um, I think we could be temple back home with Teddy.
And then we go to Jacksonville.
They've been a little bit of, ah of, Ah, garbage garbage disposal so far this year without Nick Foles, it'll be interesting.
As long as our defense steps up and plays that game, I think we could be even with Teddy.
Um, And then we go to Chicago.
That was kind of up for grabs.
You know, they're always a tough team to play.
They have a tough defense is just gonna honestly, these next few games just gonna come down to our defense.
Okay, Uh, but if our defense steps up plays maybe creates a couple extra opportunities for Teddy, you know, it's a couple turn over stuff like that.
I think we'll be fine.
Um, I think Teddy by that point will be, you know, comfortable enough leading the team to, ah, possibly pull that one out.
It just depends on how he's been playing, you know? And if he's not playing well, don't be surprised if Sean Payton pulls the trigger on Taysom.
Hill unleashes him.
I honestly kind of would prefer Taysom Hill.
I like his extra running ability and I mean every time to do, runs the ball.
He's picking up 10 12 yards, so and his arm has gotten a lot better look like in the preseason.
But then again, preseason, regular season.
There's a big difference there, so we'll see.
Um, and then Sunday, October 27th which is the final week Drew Brees should miss.
We play Arizona, which is going to be an absolute domination regardless of what we have a quarterback.
To be honest with you, Arizona's just a shit show this year.
Excuse my language.
They just start.
Um, I think you know, the way Drew Brees works.
I think he could be back for the Chicago game if he's back for the Chicago game.
I like our chances, but any good.
I don't know if I want him coming back for the Chicago game with Khalil Mack and all those guys just hitting him every day in play.
But you know, ever like I know Drew Brees is injured.
But that's not even like our biggest injury, you know, is like we lost an offensive lineman and Andrew's Pete.
Sorry, Drew Brees is our biggest injury, but there's other big injuries.
What I meant to say like Andrews.
Pete was injured yesterday.
Okay, That's a huge injury.
Especially with a young quarterback behind.
Center are not young but experienced, you know, um, Androphy was out and it looked pretty bad.
Don't know how long he's out for, because all I'm seeing is stuff about Drew Brees.
Keep you guys informed as soon as I know.
Um, Andrews be another one was trick want Smith? You had a huge game yesterday.
Uh, he got injured after Hiss.
Thirtysomething yard catching around yesterday.
He had a big play.
Um, and his ankle just got caught up a little bit.
I think he should be fine, but you never know.
Klein left the game with an injury, but came back later, so he should be good.
Um, there's another what? I thought I know.
Keith Kirkwood was injured in pregame warmups.
He pulled his hamstring or something.
So obviously it was serious enough to keep him out.
Hopefully, he's good to go for next week.
Um, I swear there's another injury.
I think about it.
I'll just I'll say it.
But I really wish we would have kept, uh, Kiko Alonzo in yesterday.
Just the way I was feeling.
I was hoping he was just gonna go out there and destroy somebody and injured them, not into them.
That was a terrible thing to say.
Injured them, but fight them.
You know, he almost did get in a fight to its third play.
Started getting into it with alignment.
They were just tangled up.
I was like, Oh, boy, not wasted any time.
Your buddy, um, you know our team a little bit banged up right now, but I think we'll be fine.
Williams played a good game yesterday.
Eli Apple didn't play like complete garbage.
Um, DeMario Davis had a good game.
Lattimore had a decent game.
Um, you know, Cam Jordan played great.
Obviously, Davenport had a really good game shy.
Total are rookie D D defense tackle actually been getting good pressure.
I'm impressed with him.
You guys just don't try not to think about the negatives.
I know we don't have Drew Brees think about what we do have, Like how many good teams.
I don't have a good quarterback, you know, like the Bears.
They're a great team.
Their quarterbacks, not the best.
You know, Steelers just lost their quarterback for the year.
Ben Roethlisberger, Al for the year.
It could be that bad.
We don't have her, you know.
We still have it for six weeks.
And the six weeks? Yeah, there's a couple of tough games, but to be honest with you, it's like they're winnable games.
And then we get Drew Brees back for both Falcons games.
We get him back for Thanksgiving.
All right, so here's the remaining schedule.
Once Drew Brees is supposed to come back.
So remember November 3rd is that bye week, the week after we play Arizona? Arizona should.
If he's out for the full six weeks, the Arizona game should be the last game he misses.
Okay, then we have the bye week so he can get his, you know, get everything back in a couple weeks of practice in before the next game, you know? So start re Cupid, get back into the swing of things by weeks, actually.
Kind of planned perfectly for this situation.
And then right out of the gate, soon as the byways over Atlanta Falcons at home.
All right, we'll play them at home, and yeah, All right.
We know how that's gonna end.
They're always exciting games or after a breeze back, we're gonna get in the swing of things.
All right, Now we have when we go to Tampa Bay a winnable game, especially with Drew Brees back.
We're gonna be done with Teddy, and I think we'll be done with Teddy and I definitely we're going beyond withdrew, all right.
And then we played the Carolina Panthers at home.
Um, by that point, they'll probably already have Cam Newton shut down for the season.
Um, he just hasn't looked good, so the Panthers haven't looked good.
Play him again on Thanksgiving.
I'll be sitting there eating my turkey, you know, eat much stuff in them, yams, everything and watching us beat down on the Atlanta Falcons.
And then we play San Fran at home.
I believe it or not.
I think I might have to be a tough game when I first looked at the schedule that we might be tough, but I got said You never know who's gonna get hurt.
You never was going to be an active active, because that's just four weeks before the season's over, okay, and then we play Indianapolis at home.
I think we'll win that game.
Obviously, we all know that situation.
Um, then we go to Tennessee to play.
Um, what went that one? Tennessee has a good defense, but their offense is not really that good.
Um, and then we play Carolina in Carolina to end the season.
If we can win four of our next six, I think we're gonna win every game where we get Drew Brees back.
With the exception of maybe one like Atlanta might beat us at their stadium just because they tend to be this at least once a season.
So let's let me look here.
So we're running one.
Currently, I think we beat Seattle's best to and what we lose to Dallas to two.
We be Tampa Bay three and two.
I think we'd be Jackson go for it, too.
Uh, I'll give Chicago and benefited out four and three.
And if we beat Arizona five and three, bye week, we get Drew breath on.
6789 10 11 12 12 and four.
You know, which is what we did.
I think last year we were 13 and 3 12 employer.
He lose one extra game, maybe two or three.
You know, it's not that big of a deal, guys.
And we're in the NFC South, which isn't the strongest division this season, all right, no need to panics.
I keep hearing on our New Orleans Saints, and we'll be fine.
I don't wrap up today's post game show and reacting about the Drew Brees injury.
I'll keep you guys updated on any additional signings.
Any additional injury updates later in the week.
I'll probably do another show on Thursday.
Today either was there.
There's They'll probably do another one.
So, uh, stay tuned.
