I I don't know why the Baltimore Arizona scores up there.
I didn't select that.
Maybe that's an automatic thing that happens with sportscaster.
But I am here because a couple things are actually hey was up, Grant.
I'm actually here to discuss a couple things that are a little unnerve ing with me.
Number one Frank.
Right, Colts head coach going for on fourth and inches.
I know it says forcing to fourth and inches.
Um, about about a football length is what they needed to get to.
But they were at the Texans own 35 yard line, and they were only by two.
If they did not get this, they were already within field goal range, right? The Texans could have kicked field going one.
It would have been the Texas over from last year on Lee.
I think I agreed with the decision that Frank Reich made to make that play.
Maybe not the play, but the decision to go for it last year against the Texans, even though they did not get it.
I agreed with it because of the positioning of the football field and the fact that he didn't want to go for a tie.
This was in regulation they had.
He did not gotten that first down.
Now that's putting a lot of faith in the fact that the Colts offensive line is very good.
They were running it pretty well all day, and Jacoby percent is a big guy.
But for Set, he had already called the quarterback sneak wants earlier 15 and last week as well against the Chargers.
So the Titans were fully expecting it that if the plane was gonna be called, was gonna be a quarterback sneak by, beset, and it showed because, I mean, it was it was a pretty big rumble right there at the line of scrimmage.
A lot of stuff was going on.
I didn't know if he actually got there, not the the spot of the ball, because the camera angles was not very good.
You couldn't really tell if he had gotten the first down.
Small ball was just barely over the line of scrimmage, but the whole idea that he went for rather than kicking it like two minutes or so left a little over two like 2 30 or something like that, they could upon it the ball.
Oh, and relied on their defense the defense of show that they really did well beforehand.
The last two. Dr.
Stop Tennessee from scoring.
But he didn't trust his defense.
Or was he that 100% sure that he was gonna get that fourth down at fourth and inches? I don't know.
I mean, quite frankly, that's that is a bold call in that situation.
Would you went for those of you sitting here watching this, Would you have went for on fourth and inches at your own 35 yard line, Onley leading by two.
I don't I don't know how to have the balls to do that.
I have confidence in the offensive line went in the run game.
They were doing very good in the run game on game they, but at the same time, I was having defense a lot of confidence in my defense.
The way they played the two drives prior, you know, forcing them the pot.
So I think this really goes because he's gonna get a lot of a lot of props for going for it and getting it.
But how much when it comes to props that he's getting praise, forgetting that fourth down and eating Mork lock up.
You know, if he had not gotten that and turn the ball over to the Titans, the Titans walk, you know, an extra five or six yards, something like her, even even when God touched down.
Either way, where maybe that they hadn't gotten any yards but kicked a field goal.
Won it because of the turn over on downs had he not gotten it.
How much crap do you think Frank right would be getting right now? Would they say that was the worst decision in Frank Reichs career? Or would they say, Oh, no.
He should have went ahead and gone forward anyhow, because that showed, you know, faith in the office.
There's a difference, in my opinion, between showing faith in the offense, ensuring lack of faith in your defense in a situation like that, I think it showed a lack of faith in the defense now showing facing your offenses.
If it was at the 45 yard line, where, um, you know, it gives your defense a chance to make a stop and keep them out of field goal range, right? And yet still be able to go for an e clock if need be.
But at the 35 down by only two.
I don't know if I could have pulled that trigger.
I mean, to his credit, he had time out to use that, you know, he tried to draw him offsides.
He had percent out there going this way and that way, and moving back and forth from the Linus grabs, you call on wide receivers over on motions and stuff like that, trying everything he can to draw them off sides.
But the thing is, is the Tennessee Titans don't have to Davian Clowney on their king.
So that wasn't gonna happen.
This is a well coached defense is well coached team in the Tennessee Titans.
Mike Vrabel has got these guys on lock down.
Not a whole lot of penalties in this game.
I, I didn't think they were gonna go for even Frank right afterwards.
Said he didn't think they were going to jump offsides, so I honestly I wouldn't have done it.
I'm glad that we won, but this is a very big deal, in my opinion.
A little a little too aggressive.
You agree? Do you disagree.
The other thing I want to talk about is that a planetary.
The man's missed, three extra points and two field goals in the last two games.
The last field goal bounced right off the right side of the uprights.
But no, it was extra point getting this right off that the uprights.
The 1st 1 My God, he hooked so badly it went left.
I mean, he missed it by two goal posts.
And then after the game, Stephen Holder, from the athletic hey, told him out of military, told him a I'll see you tomorrow, My son trying to sneak in and say Hi, he told Steven.
Adam, Military told Stephen Holder of the athletic, I'll see you tomorrow.
It seems like No, you want no one shows up on.
You know that's a day off from the players.
He goes, No, I will. We'll see you tomorrow.
That that's a little bit of an Irving news, don't you know? I mean, come on.
Generally, players don't do press conferences.
Obviously, in a situation like this, he feels incredibly down about himself.
I was there can't couple couple times watching training camp this year.
I didn't didn't.
Terry was kneeling, nailing field goal from 60 plus.
You know, he he wasn't having these accuracy issues.
And then all of a sudden, the game starts and everybody's like, Oh, it's father time, you know, Finally catching up to Adam Military.
How does Father time effect accuracy? I understand it effects your legs, Frank.
You know, you get older and you ain't ableto get that accuracy down.
You know, at 4 40 yard field goals, you retire because you need guys that nail 50 plus yard field goals at a military was dropping 60 yard field goals in Camp Nail.
This is all in his head.
It's either that or he's got some sort of injury issue that he's dealing with.
So there's a lot of people out there to say, Hey, we need to just drop it.
He's going to retire.
He might retire.
You know, this might be a situation, you know, similar to what luck, you know, earlier in the year where he's just like, you know, I'm done.
I'm gonna move on.
I don't know, but the same time.
Don't be surprised if he tells everybody Hey, You know what? I'm having mental mental problems right now.
I'm gonna leave it up to the coaches and the owner or Hey, I'm dealing with a little bit of a growing injury, which I think he was dealing with in the off season.
So it's quite possible this is something.
But he's he's gonna put that out there either way because he knows how much this is being talked about.
He knows that, uh, he's relied upon how important his he is to this team.
Right? Because if he had made those two extra points when we went for we have been up four points instead of happen Frank Reich would had to of, ah, wouldn't had to make that decision to go for he could have kicked it.
Men like you know what they got run down the field with a little over two minutes and only one time out and score a touchdown.
You know, Marsh, the whole field.
I think I think Frank Wright would probably put it.
There have been a little little bit more of a different decision, in my opinion, in a situation like that, I think, uh, Adam military, I can't wait myself for his press conference tomorrow.
Let us know. All.
Hey, what's going on? But if he does retire, what happens is cool head one still.
Ah, free agent out there.
Where was he picked up by a team? Because he was our king.
You can't pre season.
Yeah, well, Adam, military was kind of nursing that little groin injury or whatever.
It was injury that he was having.
I can't remember exactly what type of injury that he was nursing.
I know that he was dealing.
He had dealt with the growing injury in recent past, but yeah, I don't know, man.
What do you guys thought? Do you think, uh, at a military should straight up, retired? Do you think this is the end of his career? I think we deserve Give him an opportunity to explain himself.
Hey, what's going on? Last week he said, Hey, I I was going over film And seeing that there was, you know, issues with my mechanics.
Well, this week those mechanics aren't fixed.
They were worse this week.
They were last week.
Going that hook that he did on that first missed extra point was awful.
It was terrible.
I feel like, you know, we had the Chicago Bears kicker from last year already.
I would hate to see Military go, and I would like him to come up and say, Hey, you know what? I think I've got a little bit of a problem and just straight up, Be honest with us.
You know? That's what I'm hoping for.
But I'll tell you what.
Right now, the Coulter tied couple stats A lot of people don't realize.
After two weeks of NFL football grand, we still have Monday night to go through Marlon back.
Is the number three rushing or running back in the NFL right now? Um, and the Colts defense is tied for first in the NFL with sex.
Who would've thought that they've had four sacks, both games? My biggest issue right now, Jacoby percent.
I'm gonna go ahead and step up and say a few more things.
I want to talk about Jacoby percent.
He made a couple bad decisions in this game.
Hey, had a play where he tried to punk.
They can bring the ball back.
And when it got down here, like you know, he went through his passing motion and has a king down here.
He lost control.
The ball fell out of his hands, fumbled Tennessee recovered.
That crap happens.
He's just something he's gonna have to deal with and remember not to do in the future.
Uh, he held the ball to this game.
He did, Ah, lot of the pressure that he was under.
The hits and scrambles he had to make was not the offense of lines for a lot of time.
A lot of times they held for that 234 seconds and he just held onto the ball too long.
And defenders, you know, I mean, no offense blanket hold forever.
And he had this scramble now granted, when he did have to scramble, he made place. Most of the time.
He was able to scramble out, get rid of the football or run for yardage or something.
But he needs to learn how to make faster decisions while in that pocket right from the get go.
That was something that I had an issue with.
One of the worries that I had was his decision making.
How quick decision making going through his reads, making those quick passes.
I do like him when it comes to the play action for the Deep Mom.
But you can't do that all the time.
You can't be looking for that all the time.
You need tohave plays drawn up to where he could get rid of that football here.
Now, real quick.
Take the pressure off the offensive.
One right? But big, huge bonus that he showed today that he had not shown to my knowledge, ever as a cold.
The man was putting touch passage that touch pass.
He's his first touch.
Pass waas to the tide in Jack the will.
It's a nice little touch past, and it's funny because last week it was a very similar situation where Jack Doyle was close to him and he just threw a laser rocket right at him, and he was so close and the balls don't so hard right through his hands.
And don't write off Jack Jack, A little helmet.
This time Jacoby lofted it.
He was wide open.
No one around him.
He just kind of, you know, a nice little touch pass to let let Doyle catch the ball and run with it afterwards.
And then he had a beautiful touch pass as UH, Paris Campbell.
It's coming off the right side and then that ramp post what? You continue past the post towards the back left corner of the end zone, and because he was so fast, he was able to get a good two yard separation from his defender.
Jacoby just kind of lost it out there in front of Paris Campbell and allowed Paris to run underneath of it and catch the football.
That's something that he learned from last week when Paris Campbell had to step on, his defender running down the sideline and Jacoby through it.
But it did not lead Campbell.
He did not have that timing with Campbell because Campbell missed a lot of practice because of a hamstring injury.
This time, he understood Paris Campbell's 431 Steed is pretty day going fast, and he let him out there and you're gonna see a lot more of this in the future.
The where Jacoby beset and Paris Campbell are going to get a lot more accurate, a lot more connections now.
There were some place where he threw a bad pass.
There was a throw where he had Logan Ryan covering step and 1/2 on him, right? But because Jacoby didn't lead T why he actually threw it at his shoulder as he was doing a crossing powder away.
And he was running kind of away from him this way, and he threw it at T Y shoulder rather than leading and out another two extra yards.
How do you go through it? That extra two extra yards.
The interception will happen, but because it lets t y shoulder that Logan Ryan was able to just kind of make a really, really good heads up play and cut in front of the trajectory of the ball and make an interception.
There was also another bad pass where Jacoby had Deon Cain.
And do you have to? Two defenders on the ship through the football? I think he was just under pressure and wanted to get rid of the ball.
You should've just threw it away, but he didn't.
But you know what? Oh, well, it happens.
Jacoby is learning as he goes.
He's learning about the talent that this team is, the talent this team has around him.
I think he'll be able to continue playing well and get better as he starts to understand those wide receivers what these running backs could do, what these offensive lineman in front of them, how they how they move an act.
And the only thing like I said that he really needs to work on hard core is getting through his progressions faster, making that decision on who's going to get rid of the ball to a little bit quicker.
Once you get that, I think he could be a You could be a top 15 quarterback in this league, but he just needs to get that time down a little bit better.
Needs to work on that progression.
I hope you enjoyed my broadcast.
I really enjoyed bringing to you my breakdown of what today's game.
I thought that Frank Wright's controversial fourth and inches call was It was something else.
I don't I don't know if I could have done that.
Like I said, not not in that situation.
Not on their own 35 not with only a two point lead.
Have they been on the 45 would have been a bigger story is a much different story at Invented.
Terry made both those extra points, and the Colts were leading by four.
Would've Frank, right, even tried to make that decision.
Would he opponent it? Because, knowing that they had to make a touchdown to beat him rather than just a viewable? You know, both those situations are interlocked, and that's why we're gonna hopefully hear from Adam Bennett Terry tomorrow when he announced that he will be talking to the press.
I will probably come back tomorrow after the press conference, give my thoughts on what Adam Bennett, Terry said.
But until then, I am Lord zone.
This is coleslaw until next time, have a good one.
