Oh, What's up, everybody? Um, this is Jerry Bailey, man.
Rob sports network.
I'm really angry right now.
Um, so you see the score at above my head.
Seahawks 28 Steelers 26.
So what? That went wrong in this game? If you're a Steelers fan, um, I got a few notes here.
I'm just I'm gonna lost for words.
Um, obviously, if you watch the game, you know what happened.
Ben Roethlisberger gets hurt in the first half.
Mason Rudolph plays the rest of the second half plays.
Well, I want to get a to Mason.
Rudolph makes me really Well, um, nearly 200 yards, two touchdown passes.
Defense from Donald Kept him in the game.
Played really well.
A few notes, though, that, um the stew was really need to address if they want to be a playoff team this year.
So starting off Donte Moncrief was the cause of the loan.
Mason Rudolph interception the past from Rudolf's mockery of went off of monkeys.
Hands led to an interception which led to a Seattle score and led to two touchdowns by the Seahawks and the third quarter, which ultimately gave them.
Um, a good advantage at one point, a nine point lead over Pittsburgh, so I'm not gonna put that on Mason.
Rudolph was dropped by Donte Moncrief and I think that and he's got five drops in two weeks.
Six drops in two weeks.
Donte Moncrief looks more like a horrible signing by this dealers.
I don't think we're gonna see too much more of them.
I think that James Washington Deante John's both played really well today, don't they? Johnson had a really nice catch from Rudolph, where he's falling to the ground.
Still made the catch in the third quarter.
I want to say that was so Jesse Johnson.
James washed him both looking really good.
I would expect to see more of them and maybe not of Donte Moncrief will not be surprised if he is cut.
Um, by the end of me, too.
But tomorrow, maybe Monday, we'll see.
Um I expect to see a lot more Donte Moncrief.
He's by horrible four drops last week and I'm the one that led to the interception today.
James Washington Beyonc? Johnson or both showing that they deserve more playing time.
Ryan Switzer Not playing too well, either for the Steelers.
So I think there are receiving Group is gonna be mostly containing of Smith, Schuster, James Washington and Deante Johnson.
From here on out, Johnny Holden's getting in a lot to the speedster.
Um, Roethlisberger missed him in the first quarter on a long, deep ball.
Should have been a touchdown from Houlton, so they will definitely keep him.
I think I'll be the fourth guy.
I don't think Spencer's gonna get as much time.
I don't think Dante Monger is gonna be around to get more time, so Donte Moncrief will go right into it, so I should probably be seeing less time.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's stick.
They just stick him mostly to the return game.
So we look at the schedule for Pittsburgh coming up.
They played at San Francisco, host of Angles.
I was bald more at the Chargers.
That is their next four games.
They could be anywhere between two and four or foreign too dependent on because I don't think we're gonna win out.
I think it'll probably be in the middle of it will be around three and three.
I think we'll be in desperation mode.
I think, though, I want as a hopeful fine.
I want to say they'll win.
But historically under time when they've been bad going to the West Coast, Um, Jimmy Garoppolo look really good today.
They beat up on Cincinnati, winning by over 30 hey through from US 300 yards and three touchdowns.
So, as a hopeful Steelers fan, I want to say that when we'll see how serious that Rachael's burger injury is, um, start off 13 But let's say they went out the next day and said to be the Bangles.
They beat the Ravens, and then they go to Los Angeles and beat the Chargers, then still be unreasonable round.
Um, you know, with the revamp that's happened since I've been on Belle's left sense.
Antonio Brown's left.
A lot of people have been rolling them down on our bounce up a Cleveland, the division.
I don't think no one's seen this whole thing coming from Baltimore.
Um, I won't get more into Baltimore in a minute, Um, but in terms of the Steelers, they could be anywhere from two and 4 to 3 and three.
Um, I don't think they're gonna lose out there.
I'm gonna start over in six.
Um, but the way that they've been playing, I'm gonna focus more on the defensive end right now because there's a few plays that religious Boggle My mind, most of it being the third and 16 play after Seattle gets a holding call on first time. Makes it first and 20.
They then run a run.
Makes its, um 13. 16.
Um, why would you blitz in that situation? Why did you press in that situation? Only having one deep safety back, which I believe is Sean Davis or Terrell admits, was one of the two.
I think Mark Barron was playing in the box to the left of the flat.
They had nobody back try to stop Brussels.
And if you ran, which he had just done a couple plays before, so they should have expected it coming on 1/3 and 16 and they pressed. They blitz.
They only have one deep safety back, which leads to 1/4 and one and an easy Chris Carson run to get the first down.
In that end of the game, Keith Butler's been and this position for far too long, I think It's time for Keith Butler to be canned.
The way that the defense of blasphemy against New England not being able to stop the simple crossing patterns from Julian Ellman, which they disguises a run skies.
The blocking is wrong with lead element being able to sneak past, Um, Mike linebacker.
I won't get into football talk right now, Um, but nonetheless, Keith Butler does not deserve that job.
He's not been deserving of the drop since he took over for Dick LeBeau.
They led the NFL in sacks.
They've always been in the top of the F l six months of the past coverage.
It's been terrible.
They brought over Steven Nelson out with that.
They gave Joe Haden an extension.
We're hoping that Sean Davis would come into his own.
I don't think Sean Davis is a starting caliber safety for that team.
Try, try, Lemon. Just look good.
A bad pass interference call.
We can definitely give that, um, you know, some blame for a lot of the outcome, because Deacon Metcalf got a touchdown pass following the bad pass interference skull, but nonetheless, bed play calling on the defensive end again by keep Butler.
So where the Steelers keep what needs to be gone? Donte Moncrief needs to be gone.
Another staring it really You're gonna live with the chalk one went up. I think you could chalk.
It went up against the Bangles.
I think the bangles gonna be one of the five worst teams in the NFL this year.
You can chuckle.
Went up there against Cincinnati.
There's another possibility. They start off one in five.
No wins guaranteed in the NFL.
I get it, but there's a solid possibility that they start one of five.
And then you look at let's take a look at Baltimore's next four games next, four against for Baltimore at Kansas City next week.
I think that she's won that.
Then the Post, Cleveland at Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
Um, recently, I think they go three and three.
So for Steelers fans, I think that's where we need to calm down.
I wanna look at Cleveland schedules.
Well, for the next four games, I think they win tomorrow.
The Trevor Siemian starting for by too many injuries, CJ Mosley is gonna be out.
Williams is gonna be out.
Sam Donovan mano whatever is going to get the start like dumbbells.
Got a shoulder problem is gonna play, but he's hurt.
I think the Browns should be able to win that.
So say that would be one on one.
They then play the Rams at Baltimore at San Francisco Post. The Seahawks.
The Browns could be anywhere between two and four and four and two.
So I think that if you're still in time, you can calm down a little bit.
Because, you know, Baltimore and Cleveland's next four games aren't easy either.
I think the amount of panic is gonna be set when we find out how severe the Ben Roethlisberger injury is.
But even that Mason Rudolph look good today against a good defense.
So I believe in Mason Rudolph.
I don't want to put too much into 1/2 of him playing, but he made a lot of good plays, made a lot of smart place, Um, so as a Steeler fan, I'm not too terribly worried.
If Mason Rough does get the nod, they're not gonna be as good.
Obviously, I think that's where we start seeing them be around more that two and four range.
Um, but it makes it really does get the start.
I'm not Su terribly worried about that right now.
What I am worried about is the fact that Baltimore's to know Cleveland's gonna be one among the Steelers are open to, and the defense looks bad and the offense can't pass the ball downfield.
We saw the flea flicker from Rudolph to Smith Shuster that was the longest play the game for them in terms of throwing the ball downfield and just don't they can't do it.
Miss Johnny holding on the affirmation, um, pattern out of the slot.
Which one was open? We'll see what plane managed to play a lot of man and holding is fast and it got opened.
There's gonna do anything but, you know, trying to stay optimistic as the Steelers fan.
But that's hard to do right now. We don't have security.
They can't seem to pass the ball downfield.
And the next four games when they traveled to San Francisco next week to know San Francisco, Jane has been playing well.
Stevens has been playing well this court 72 points in their 1st 2 games, score.
29 a Baltimore team who's playing really well again I said, and through all of this week, I'm not gonna put too much into Baltimore yet.
They played the Dolphins and the Cardinals.
Carl's always came back and beat him.
So I'm not gonna put too much stake in a Baltimore now.
I still don't think they're gonna end the years of playoff team.
We saw him obey start off really hot last year, too. With Ryan Fitzpatrick.
And look how that ended.
So I don't I'm not gonna put too much into Baltimore.
I think they're gonna come down to Earth within the month.
Um, within the week.
Really? I think Kansas City's gonna blow the roof off of him.
I think their defense is really bad.
They've lost too much.
I just don't see the difference being that talented in the face.
Um, a rookie quarterback this past afternoon on a rookie head coach who almost came back on him.
And then they played the worst roster and football last week, which was easy to put up the numbers that they did.
So I'm gonna put too much into Baltimore right now.
I don't know what to butt into them.
After their performance last week against Tennessee.
You will see how they do tonight against the Jets.
But again, I can't really put too much into that, either, because they're missing their best defensive players, their two best defensive players and their starting quarterback.
So it's hard to tell us would be, too.
But there are a few things that we that I can tell these Keith Brother needs to be gone.
Donte Moncrief needs to be gone down.
Say Johnson and James Washington need more reps of receiver, as is Johnny Olten.
Manfred Donald. Good Mason.
Rudolph's good defense needs him out, especially the secondary, Um, but to pre, I don't know the hell, but Jeffrey's doing, Um, we have hope that he can start blossoming since they drafted him out of Kentucky.
But I'm not seeing anything from Bud Apri.
I just as the Steelers fans been a frustrating afternoon again that they should have one.
I get to fumble recoveries.
One led to a touchdown.
I'm a loss for words, remember, is our hard Basie was fan right now because we don't know what is gonna happen in terms of the Roethlisberger injury and this kid brother Defense's isn't doing anything.
He's not doing it.
But like I said, Bottom worst next four games.
Not easy, Cleveland.
Thanks for games. Not easy.
I don't think anybody's worried about Cincinnati, but no, the Brown's When they play the Rams next week, Ravens play the Chiefs.
I think both of those losses for both teams and then the Steelers by the 40 Niners, which isn't a guaranteed win, I think after Week six, well, no, where the divisions heading.
But even then, I think it's still to be close to a three team race up until around the beat eight mark, because bottom or plays New England still, which I think they play them.
And then between that, the Steelers play the Dolphins, and then they play the Colts two games that they showed when, But we'll never know.
I look around Week eight of where Pittsburgh was started, picking up steam and hopefully not let it fall this season like they did last year.
They started one and one last year and I went over 72 on one, so we've seen crazier things.
Starting on to making the playoffs isn't something that happens too often.
I think only I think that sauce that, like only 12% of teams have ever done that.
That's not impossible to do.
It's a tough division, obviously.
Um, like I said, the Ravens playing came to city next week.
Brown's playing the Rams next week.
I think those were both losses of Pittsburgh and get a win next week.
Focus on the business they need to take care of, then get a win next week.
I think we'll be okay going.
Want to Cleveland.
Let me wanted to Baltimore be two on one, and then they have the game the week after week for where they play the Bangles.
That should be a way to get them to two.
Into that same week, the Ravens will play the Browns.
That'll be a big determining game if you're Pittsburgh.
I think you know someone Baltimore to win that game because that was Cleveland, one in three.
Who's been views the biggest threat in the division.
Bottom ORS strength schedule heats up mid season tow the end of the year, so I think that if you're Pittsburgh, you want the Ravens to get that early season.
When it gets the Brown, send them a one and three have them struggle.
I have to make up ground the rest of the year.
So have the Ravens be at three and one picks Ruby it two and two going into there.
We think it's a Week five matchup.
Yeah, Week five matchup.
So it's works to into bars three and one going to the Week five matchup as a Steelers fan.
You're okay because that means if you beat them, you're now a top division sitting at three into Baltimore.
Then at three into that same week, the Browns play the 40 Niners at San Francisco.
That's not a guarantee when the brass could very well be one and four at that point.
And then they go back home to play Seattle, which isn't gonna be an easy game to win.
Clear could be anywhere from one and five to foreign, too.
I don't think they're gonna be any better than for him to.
I think their strength says is too difficult.
Um, and then Baltimore don't play the bangles after the Steelers, so they will probably be showing around.
You know that three and three range for into range.
Um, but even then I think Either way, the Steelers are okay.
I don't want a panic too much yet, but there are some things I need address.
Donte Moncrief needs gone.
They're not gonna fire Keith Butler, not mid season.
I can't see them doing that, But something needs to be done about that defense.
Something needs to be done about the secondary about the tackling.
Tackling has been the story of the student defense for the past five years.
Not being able to finish tackles spawn to it at three sacks today in the first half and doesn't get rewarded with wind.
Devin Bush played great, came son had a good game, and they don't get rewarded for that because of bad defensive play.
Calling on 1/3 and 16.
Following a holding call where you blitz, you send five guys.
You only have one guy deep.
You know, Russell wasn't can run if he escapes pressure, but he's good at doing, and that's exactly what he did.
Bad defensive play going is what led to the loss today in Pittsburgh.
Should have been a win.
It wasn't Now I gotta focus for next week, but with a man we'll see what happens, but bye Week six.
Yeah, I expect every team.
I expect the Steelers, Ravens and Browns either be between the three and three, the 2144 into range.
Um, and I will go from there.
But it doesn't get any easier for either team, especially Baltimore, because Baltimore still plays New England in the second half of the season.
Their schedule heats up after around the week six.
Market starts getting worse next week against the Chiefs, and after that kind of dies down a little bit, Um, for the Ravens, they play the Bangles, phone the Steeler game.
Do you have a Browns game in between that So we'll see how that goes.
But by Week six, I expect each team Sava least two wins.
I think that Baltimore and who you gonna bet both be around three and three? I think Baltimore will come down to Earth a little bit, as did Tampa last year.
I think very similar situations, and then Cleveland start heating up after a midseason cause.
Their schedule really dies off.
Um, but the Steelers need a win next week against the 40 Niners.
I'll get more of that as the week goes on, but until then, enjoy the rest of these games.
We'll talk to you tomorrow before the Monday night game.
Everything that happened today.
Tuesday Recap the Monday night game.
See you reach divisions heading and Tuesday or Wednesday get you some fantasy advice going into Thursday's game.
So big week ahead.
Enjoy the rest of the, uh, the afternoon games during the night game and I'll talk to you before the Monday night game.
It's terrible from the right source.
Fabric makes for chilling.
