and good morning, everyone.
And welcome to another great Sunday here during the NFL season.
I am your host, Ian Glendon.
I am joined by Mr Terence Beings.
They were here to bring you sec NFL live for a second consecutive week.
So, Terrence, happy Sunday.
How you doing today? I know you're a little bit sore from some extracurriculars yesterday.
So we had ah, one pitch softball tournament and it was like 10.
30 10 40 five's about 8 45 But we hit a discussed NFL season. I am.
I'm here for this man.
Not not your your pain that's here going through right now.
It's all right, guys.
I want I want to give it. I want to give him credit.
Do this right now, I believe.
Off camera he was He was just, you know, chugging down Tylenol before he got on.
So, trooper that he couldn't miss the show today, But, yeah, we We are excited to be here once again.
You know, we're still getting into things here, broadcasting every Sunday morning for sports guest on sports Caster for for full press coverage.
Um, it's the NFL season.
to were Finally, we're getting into it.
It's ah feels like football in every west.
But in fact, it was gone for about six or seven months.
So, um, so today, obviously, we started 10 a.m. today.
We started about 10 minutes late.
You can you can blame me for that one.
Ah, but normally we're going to start at 10 a.
m. and then immediately following us.
Go check out Kyle centers account.
Kyle Sandor FBC on SportsCastr They do Ah ah fantasy show starting at 11 and I'll bring you to about 12. 12. 30.
So, um, if you like full press coverage, there's There's no reason not to stay tuned all day for all this great coverage because A We got a lot of football to talk today.
And I know you're excited for I'm excited for it.
Um, let's get right into it.
So ah, we to, uh, all the ah pizazz of week one and all.
The anticipation of week one is behind us.
You know, you kind of get all those celebrations and, you know, just the weak one.
Optimism is out.
The door is particularly for a few teams.
The jets being one of them.
We will will mention them here in a little bit.
But what are? And just we touched on it briefly because we'll give our production predictions at the end of show.
What are some of the games that you're looking forward to this weekend or today? I know what a tart wallet well, outside of being a Raiders fan and covering the Raiders they're already than Chiefs are is an important match up.
I want to see it's a litmus test for the Raiders, but for me, it's the Saints in the Rams.
I have my adopted sister is a yeah, so it's a Semite up it.
By what would him pretty close? One of my closest friends is a Saints fan.
Die hard, and she's been looking forward to this game since that no call passing affair, like the whole state of Louisiana is on edge.
They want to win this game, and they want to exercise the demons of being having a back haul.
And I just want to see two officers play well and there's that one.
There's honestly, like the Seahawks and the Steelers.
That's entreat me for one reason.
Pretty much Yeah, but now it's Sean.
Likely won't be caught for Phantom Holding penalty.
Yes, that is true.
And maybe Roethlisberger might actually get into the end zone.
Yes, but I want to see that one because it's, Ah, it Tooks.
That's for the kids for much.
If they lose here, that so 12 And there's no lady on Bell, too.
There's no Antonio Brown toe blame.
There's no James Harrison to get too old to play.
It is what it is.
And at the point if they lose today, you got to start questioning Big Ben.
Do you start questioning Mike Tomlin? That's our question.
Threaten the GM, who's put it seemed together.
Yes, are questioning him and it's 00 in Tuna division is not a death knell, but it is a wake up call.
No, I I would agree on that.
And actually to your point, um, you know, the Steelers team, like you said, I mean, for years, or at least the last couple years, when things haven't been going so well, they've always had guys to kind of push the blame on.
You know, maybe it was a little bit on Ben, but mostly it was on leave Ian, and you know it particularly last year, because he wasn't there.
And then Antonio Brown and and, you know, I hearken back to the Ben Roethlisberger, commenting on end zone, terrible end zone pick that he made but kind of pushing blame off onto his receivers.
And now all of a sudden, those lightning rods air no longer there.
I mean, who are who are people gonna blame? Are they gonna play juju? I don't think so.
I mean, he's probably most Steelers fans favorite player, you know, at least offensively, you know, outside of maybe Big Ben.
And even then it's like I think some people's patients if he continues to, um, do some of the things we've seen him do in the past, like throw those bad end zone interceptions.
I don't think that the leash is gonna be as long because, um, who you gonna blame now? You know, it's all on Ben Shoulders and you know, we we've seen him in the past question or not, whether or not he's gonna come back and play another season or how much he's committed.
And if they drop another game this week, Uh, especially if it's in any similar fashion as to what they did in week one.
I would I would sound the panic alarm right away for the Steelers, because again, this is Ah, they're certainly not out of the out of the woods, you know, in terms of trying to win the division.
If they follow into bite, you know it becomes more Maur.
Ah, less about actually winning the division and actually facing the reality of what kind of team they have, because I think everyone expected them to, ah, use the losses of both Levian and Antonio Brown as addition by subtraction.
And so far through 11 week, we really haven't seen that.
And if anything, it looks like it's a disaster without him.
Now again, it's Week one, and we're gonna We're gonna do some buy or sell a little bit later in the show.
And what kind of talk about a few small topics and kind of see where we're at in terms of, are we overreacting? It's an appropriate reaction and kind of where we stand, but again, like you said, I mean, this is this is a big game for week Teoh for the Steelers.
And, uh, that's not It seems strange, given that we're talking about the Steelers.
It seemed like, you know, for a team that has traditionally impersonally served as a playoff threat, to see that they're teetering on the brink of an owing to start is stunning.
I know that this scandal makers didn't do him any favors with scheduling the Patriots in the Seahawks.
But do you play where you play? And I I just don't see this team being a threat, whereas a year's path they were the Onley team that stands in the way between New England and Pseudo.
It's pretty much the Chiefs and no one else.
And if things come, things break right.
For the Patriots, as far is like scheduling and make sure there's no injuries.
C once again is cancelled.
Yes, we we, um we talked a little bit the other night when on our show got cut off.
If you guys were washing and then we just kind of ended unceremoniously.
That was a technical issue of my end.
So hopefully we'll Monix be experiencing that again.
But yeah, you know, you you hit it.
I mean that the Steelers, even even though they weren't they never really, uh, physically stop the Patriots from getting to the Super Bowl.
They were always a huge hurdle on always an important game late in the season.
Early in the season, it didn't matter.
It was always crucial toe overall playoff a f c standing.
And, you know, if you look at both the Patriots and the Chiefs, I see both those teams easily kind of top in the 12 win mark.
You know, at the very least, so for the Steelers, if they start oh into that, that means having to go 12 into the rest of the way.
12 or 11 and three, the rest away.
Just the kind of fight for a bye week.
And so again, you know we're only in Week two.
But when you when you start thinking about the big picture, it does seem to, uh, add some concern for Steelers fans and Steelers Nation.
If they end up falling to his game, it again, you know they could lose a tight game and it could galvanize them and they could build off.
But if they go out there and get steamrolled again.
Um, there's gonna be a lot of talk coming out of Pittsburgh and not good talk.
So, um, before we do move on, I do want to Ah, I I do wanna talk about that saints and, uh, grams game.
So, um, like you said, Saints fans have been waiting for this for a very long time.
And as we've seen, they have not forgotten.
Um, not one bit.
You know, between the parades and the rallies and the showing up to ah, you know, the weak one game with referees jerseys on this team or at least these fans need to get over.
Hopefully, hopefully today is kind of that, you know, put the nail in the coffin on that whole story line because we've seen that game that one play.
Ah, completely changed the NFL.
In terms of, you know, we watched the NFL react, change the rules at a, uh, option to challenge certain pass interference plays.
And, you know, that's all based off that one play that ultimately prevented the rams from Gare.
Prevented the saints from going to the Super Bowl and again left.
We know we know how it played out.
You call the family.
They're the Saints, Neil, and they go to the Super Bowl. It Z.
There's no question it's It's a CZ closest I'm ever gonna come to saying a call cost a team a game.
But the bottom line is, this is The Saints had plenty of opportunity to win that game after, so the fact that including getting the ball first and over time which again, that's that that side of the whole overtime debate seems to have fallen on the wayside.
But let's face it, the Saints team they had an opportunity with, they had an opportunity, and over time they threw an interception, and no matter how bad that call was, it didn't designed the game.
The game did not end right there, did not give victory to the Saints.
So, uh, I feel like the Saints team itself, or at least for the most part, is over it, especially when you think about I don't have the number over.
I'm sure half the guys are, you know, maybe 30% of the guys on the Saints now weren't even on that team last year.
So you know how much do they really get affected by it? Who knows? I'm sure there's other guys on that team that still thinks, I mean, how can you not, You know, given the fact that you felt like you were robbed, But let's get it over with now, you know, just go out, play the game. It doesn't matter.
Like if you win, it's not gonna change what happened last last year.
If you lose, it's not gonna change what happened last year.
You just gotta mentally get over it.
And I think for the saints, for them to go out and get a victory today, Um, I think that would help and hopefully again, Like I said, put all this behind you because you know, they're not gonna win anything if they're still, um, dwelling on that whole incident last week.
So what are your thoughts on this game in terms of Who do you think has the edge and yeah, I think the edge goes to actually or not.
I think the articles, they're saints now because they they have functional defense of pieces like Marcus Davenport or, uh, Alex Anzalone.
And they have a secondary where P.
Williams and Eli Apple may not be the most ah, talented, but you got Marcus Lattimore, and I think the Saints defense will do just like they won't shut it down.
But they'll do just enough of the offense to get on the field.
And if the game was closed, I have, ah, have a trust in Drew Brees and ever trust now and we'll let star kicker toe bring him through it.
And I think that Camaro is even though he's widely known, he is like, still rather underrated, which is odd, but he's so so what? Because he's like fantasy football legend.
But he's not like household name for certain folks and the way that Sean pay and injuries scheme that offense.
I think that defensively, Dennis Salinity for the quantity for former Oakland Raiders coach will take some from the ability of game plan of trying to constrict the brand of the line of scrimmage.
And the Saints don't have the talent the pages did on defense, or they don't have the actual Lupin in its ability or skiing.
But the blueprint that beat the Rams was a super basically, and Bill Belichick pretty much taught a master class of this how you beat them, and I just I don't think that we will see the high flying Rams off the 50 with the 54 50 51 1,000,001 yes game against the chief.
I don't think we'll see that anymore.
Greatest game ever.
You know, I say that with a little sarcasm because exactly.
I don't see that.
I don't see that Rams team coming out and doing that week in and week out anymore.
I just that's don't like they had their moment, and now it's It's really a and I'm just teams.
I would honestly if I had a project.
I don't think the rambling a win a division well, and here's the thing about the ranch.
It's like, you know, it's like you said the bell checking the Patriots, They figured him out in the in the Super Bowl.
They're able to limit what they were doing.
You know, again, not every team is capable of doing that.
You know, we're talking about a team that now is starting to get a little bit of hype for having one of the best secondaries in the league and deservedly so, and I think that's something that a lot of people that fall the Patriots saw kind of develop over the latter half of last year and really come to fruition in the Super Bowl in an early on this season.
Um, so ah, again, it's not like, you know, the Saints defense is better, but it's it's not a you know, it's not to that level of the Patriots.
So whether or not they actually have people that are capable of doing the things that they did, um, we'll see.
But, um, I I agree with you.
I think the Saints have the edge, and I think the Rams are not, Um, Jared Goff is a good player, but he's not a, uh, you know he's not.
I can make anything type of thing happened like a Patrick so you can try to limit the Chiefsoffense.
And we saw the Patriots do that for 3/4.
But you know, eventually he's, you know, gonna make unconventional plays that are gonna help lead to more points for that team.
And I don't think Jared Goff is that guy used more of a traditional, you know, he's gonna make, you know, remake the right reads go through his adjustments type of thing.
And I think that, um, you know, he has a talent around him to be really good and successful, but I just don't think he's that, you know, they thought this word gets thrown around quite a bit and so I just don't have another word for it.
But transcendent player like Patrick.
I hate using that word because I feel like it's just lost.
All hope is as now because everyone who goes out on toast a few touchdowns here and there is now a transcendent or, you know, the potential.
Let's, you know, let's let's pump the brakes a little bit and just enjoy these guys playing, Um, but, yeah, I'm going a little sidetracked here, but any anyways, I'm excited to see this game.
I do think the Saints have the edge.
Um, I just hope that once this game is over, we just put that the whole incident behind us, where we're just not talking about it anymore.
I know it's impossible because, you know, we have the rule changes this year, so it's gonna be under the microscope every single game, every single time a flag is even thought of being thrown.
They're gonna mention it.
But from a saint standpoint, fan standpoint, ownership, players, coaches, everything.
You move on from that game today and you know, you win this game, you win or lose.
You just put everything behind you because if you dwell on it, it's just gonna affect you in the one.
A group, that is.
It's more of now that c they know they were wrong, and now it's timeto kind of turn the page where, yes, for Saints fans, anything short of a Super Bowl appearance is a disappointment.
So now it's it's it's the road you have a chance to.
If you beat the Rams and you play the way that people anticipate home home field goes through New Orleans.
Chances are, if you take care of your business, no.
And again, that's, um, you know, if the opportunity of Saints have, I know they've been knocking on the door of the last couple of years and have gone out and very devastating fashion at times.
But you know, this window is closing very quickly for, ah, for the saints.
And you know, it'll be interesting to see how Drew Brees plays in the second half of the season because we saw last year kind of fall off a little bit.
So, um, you want to see if he's actually going to be able to put a really good season to get other as he, you know now four years old and, ah, you know, again that starts with winning this game and just kind of moving on and putting the whole thing behind you.
So all right, Before we move on, I just want to remind everyone out there that, uh, you know, we're gonna be here every Sunday, live at 10 a.m.
Today. It was 10. 10 but, you know, whatever.
It doesn't matter.
m. Every Sunday. Join us here on SportsCastr.
You know, myself and bags.
And, you know, we're gonna have some other people in the mix coming in on guests, you know, weeks coming up and all that stuff.
So we're gonna have a lot of fun talking football, previewing the games and all that stuff.
And then immediately following us at 11 is our fantasy football show with Kyle and Allesandro.
So be sure to check that out.
Did do a great job.
And again, who doesn't wanna win? They're weak and daily fantasy.
So I would tune in if I were you.
Just like you're tuning in now.
So, um, we're gonna get into a little Ah, you know, pretty much a staple of every sort football show ever created.
And that's a little by itself, a statement.
So, um, I'm gonna tear into the test.
I want to kind of get his.
We're gonna kill some time with that.
So, parents, I'm gonna I'm gonna say something.
I'm gonna ask you about a team, a player so on and so forth and tell me, buyer fell and, ah, you know, maybe elaborated.
Elaborate on it a little bit.
So I'm going to start first with a team that we talked about before Week one and that is the Cleveland Brown.
So they go out last week and they just get shellacked.
They look like an absolutely, ah, terribly undisciplined team.
They get physically dominated on both sides of the ball by Tennessee Titans team that I think everyone suspects is pretty good.
But, um, this was not what a lot of Browns fans that hoped for or are anticipated heading into the season.
So Terrence Buyer Salt This is a major concern this week.
One loss for the Brown.
I buy that that fact.
That is the media concern, because if you look at the film, there's a couple of clips where the Titans rush for Per and the Browns are blocking with six.
And in those four still got home.
And that screams.
You have offense, Ally issues.
And for a quarterback like Baker, Mayfield, who can extend a pocket to his left, who is right? You don't need constantly evade multiple pass rushers on every drop back, and I just Their defense is sound.
The defense can be sound.
I just think that the Office of Line honestly, like, if you look at just, ah, big picture in the eggs essential view of it.
If Joe Thomas is still playing, they might.
They might have fared a little bit better, but it just they lack such talent on the offensive line where teams can look at that kind of see table.
We can get home with four and drop seven and make him beat us.
It's it's concerning because it did.
People are banking on Baker Mayfield, Beckham, Landry and Joe.
Coup chump, too.
Carry that offense.
They can care the offense, but they need to get blocking first.
That's an issue that's a major issue.
Well, if you remember a couple years back when when the Seattle Seahawks were still relatively similar to what they were when they were winning a Super Bowl, they were great on pretty much every facet of the game except the offensive line and what happened? You know, they underachieved because Russell Wilson was getting hit every single play and you couldn't do anything.
So again, I'm right there with you. I I am.
I am buying it as well.
It's actually something that we talked about in terms of, you know, they have a lot of talent on this team, and I'm excited to see how it plays out.
But one of the biggest questions we had was Freddie Kitchens, the guy two.
Keep this team focus.
If they start slow, if they lose three games, four games and you know it's so far, it's, I mean again, we're basing this off a one game, but what I saw in that game was was the most penalties in the game.
The Maple Leafs last won a Stanley Cup 19 fifties.
Um, it's we'll see in every hockey show.
I always got Iowa, who's been about 19,100 some odd days since they last won.
And they just shelled out, UH, $11 million to Mitch Marner.
So good for you, anyway, that's any show that's we're talking about the NFL.
You know, I just saw a team that was incredibly undisciplined.
Um, I think we all had.
I don't want to say concerns, but we're all aware of the personality.
He's in the locker room often times with a lot of talent comes a lot of different personalities and sometimes young teams and buy into their own hype.
And so far after week one, that's that's kind of what I see from the Browns here again.
They could turn it around and when 10 of the next 11 and be just fine and get penalized three kinds of game and we'll just kind of laugh this off.
But, um, there's nothing to me that suggests that they're equipped to be able to climb out of this hole if it continues to me.
I feel like if they lose another game here, it might.
It might start, start to snowball on them.
And, uh, you know, I don't know if they're gonna be able to get it back.
So next one by yourself, I know it feels like it's been, like 60 days since they last played.
But Packers beat the Bears 10 to 3.
Aaron Rodgers looks like the old Aaron Rodgers and by the old Aaron Rodgers.
I mean, the 34 year old, often injured 2018 version of Aaron Rodgers, where, yes, there was some, uh, uh, exterior things that we're good on the exterior.
But deep down, his game was not.
That's solid and, in fact, very mediocre.
So Biggs buy or sell? If you're a Packers fan, Packard Nation, Are you concerned about Aaron Rodgers this season? And do you think, Yeah, actually, that's the question by yourself.
I buy the concern.
I buy the concern because if you look deep within how a Rogers he had made his entire career out of making average talent excel.
And if you look at even one place the Bears, where the hell Mary Aaron Rodgers is the mass of the Hell Mary from any from 65 out.
He couldn't get the ball to the end zone.
I know that's not Ah, doesn't shouldn't be a stirring indictment of where his abilities are right now.
But there comes a point in every quarterback's life that you're like, Oh, he is different And I think he's also hamstrung by Matt LaFleur is seemingly hate to say this rudimentary offense.
It just where Mike McCarthy was the believer, not Mike McCarthy, was, um, or Innovative play caller, where Metal Floor has that.
You want Servilia of less from talking to Packers fans because I mean that Zo, I don't mean to butt in, but, like I was kind of always thought Mike McCarthy got a got a bad rap, and you know, it's 20 like that.
You mentioned that, you know things.
Packard's offenses is very rudimentary, and, you know, that was kind of the chief complaint about Mike McCarthy.
It's like he's holding a I don't know about that.
Yeah, and it's It's when you look at the difference in offenses you see a lot of, um, risk averse playcalling where a rod is his best way.
He can get that he can get the defense jumping offsides or he can make plays downfield.
And he has that mentality where he has the mentality of a cornerback.
Okay, you you got burnt next place, we're gonna try it again.
Yeah, he has that spirit, but it's concerned about the talent around him.
The quantum, it's ST Brown ist.
I think he might be still out.
Um, they have receivers in scaling and ah, Davante Adams.
And you know, they have good tight and they have some of it's also like the pass protection which didn't hold up it just again.
You had you like and I know the bears have ah pretty stuff front seven.
But it's it's you can't run for you, David Bakhtiari.
Um Bryan Bulaga can't beginning turnstile it.
This can't be if they have any hope of seeing the playoffs of seeing a long playoff run.
And they should be concerned.
No, And that's kind of my point is some of the things that stick out to me that we're issues last year were taking sacks, which again, we know it's it's a combination of line play and then also quarterback play.
And, uh, someone like Aaron Rodgers.
His place style kind of lens, too.
The idea that sometimes he brings the sax on because he's always trying to make a big play and so on and so forth.
So that's something that's certainly concerning because, you know, to to get sacked five times.
And I don't want to hear about rust and all this stuff.
I mean, that was kind of the excuse after Thursday night.
Uh, you know, we saw a lot of teams go out there on Sunday and just hit, you know, pedal to the metal and be just fine.
So, um, don't tryto trick yourself into excusing the fact that he got sacked five times, two to rust and lack of playing time in the preseason.
Because this is something that was happening last year, and that was, you know, one of the issues in his game that certainly didn't stand out.
If you just, you know, look at things such as passer rating, which doesn't take into account anything when it comes to ***, and then like I said before, in some cases, it's, Ah, that's a quarterback problem, not an offensive line problem.
Um, linemen can only block for so long, and they can only, you know, block.
And so, you know, in so many different ways.
So, um, I'm not gonna I guess I'm not gonna buy it yet, cause again.
I mean, it's it's week one.
And, you know, unlike the Browns, I give Aaron Rodgers a little bit more leeway when it comes to this.
And, um, you know, again in a couple weeks, you know, we could see them, you know, kind of hit the ground running and be the really good offense that we we kind of know to come from a healthy Packers team.
So I'm not I'm not necessarily buying it, but my my finger's hovering around the buy purchase button.
So maybe maybe after today, I'll fully fully commit to buying it.
So we just got I just saw a tweet right before we got on the air where the five week period for Sam Darnold return from mono is somewhat optimistic.
So Ah, a lot of people are starting to estimate maybe it's gonna be about 78 week things.
So if if you've ever had mono, I have not.
But from what people have said, it's It's I mean, it's just a I mean, you lose weight, you know, you just have there's there's no way you can compete in a football game or any sort of athletic event when you're going through that.
So by yourself, the Jets will at most with, Oh, I I sell that one because I do, because I think that I think, Sam, when Sam Donald returns and with that defense, they can cobble out five or six.
At least I think I think if they could get anything out of Travis and me in any way, I mean, come on, bro.
Just one time, just just just just, you know, no one's asked to be Joe Montana.
Help people just hell, you just be like Hannah Montana.
Somebody just just just win one.
If he can win one game one or two, Sam Donna will get your four.
If you get your four, that's six, and the defense would sound like I was talking to a buddy of mine at will.
I have to stop Alterman yesterday and he's a Jets fan and I told him the same thing about saying where Sam has no memory of anything bad that has happened beforehand.
Where he takes it, he takes each snap his first.
He may fumble it a lot, and he does for somebody his size.
He may throw the worst interception in the world, but in between those he will mix in intriguing plays and he will.
He he will fight to get those winds.
And I think that five or six, maybe an option for Ah yeah, that's why that's why that's why I put it at that. I should be handicappers.
What you're saying is because I just nailed that number, right. It's a good question.
And, um, I'm actually gonna buy it, because if this team does not have their quarterback for the next seven weeks, you know that you're talking six games.
They play the Patriots twice.
They have, ah, fairly difficult schedule.
Um, more so now without their starting quarterback, in addition to losing someone like Quincy.
And Noodle offered it for the season.
And he's likely I would imagine done, you know, playing football, considering his injury history.
And, you know it is neck injury history.
So, um and then all of a sudden.
I mean, they have to marry.
Is Thomas obviously who? Ah, the Patriots sent over after they signed Antonio Brown.
So I just look at this team as a potential yeah.
Offer by the time you know, maybe one win by the time Sam Darnold gets back.
And at that point, you're halfway through the season.
And I think the mentality of you know, how you're approaching the season changes drastically.
Um, we saw even with Sam Darnold then blow a lead against the Bills.
Which again I wouldn't be too concerned about it because, you know, sometimes you just hit these bumps in the road.
But, um, without Sam Darnold move a Ford.
I don't I don't see.
I just I just can't see this team winning many games while he's out.
And if if he's out for seven weeks or six games because they do have a bye week coming up here, um, you know, that's gonna be devastating.
First, he must already owned one, So I'm gonna buy it.
I think I think four to me is the ceiling, and I'd be surprised if it gets gets any further than that.
Um, you know again.
This is assuming he's out about six games or so.
So, um, lettuce here.
So, um, since ah, it's all been, uh, all but confirmed that Antonio Brown will be making his Patriots debut today.
Bye Or so him hitting double digit catches.
Not catches targets in this game.
Um who? That is a good one.
Conventional wisdom states that they want to slowly working into the offense.
I read where and I've seen where ****ysts have said that he'll have, like, a limited package.
And then look at the Patriots.
Look at how they have managed to succeed.
They tend not to listen to conventional wisdom there.
Like f your wisdom.
I buy that foursome before they're playing a Dolphins team.
Who is? Let's just call it what it is.
Mika Fitzpatrick wants to get out.
Xavi and Howard probably wants to get out.
People want to get out.
I see Antonio Brown possibly seeing 10 targets ideo I like, especially if he gets open early.
And if the Patriots are able to put this game away at mid third quarter, he might have 10 targets by them.
You know, we we talked about it a little bit the other day, and you kind of changed my mind because I was kind of the belief that, you know, he'll have, you know, a couple days ago I thought, Okay, maybe he'll have 10 to 15 plays that he'll be a part of, you know, very big night.
I don't want a basic but pretty basic Patriots offense.
Nothing too complicated.
Just enough for him to get his feet wet.
And then the more I thought about it, I'm like, this is Antonio Brown.
You know, this isn't just another guy coming over.
Um, the Patriots tend to try to get guys like this involved early and often because it's it's important for them to build it between him and Brady to build the trust.
So, um and then again, combined with the fact that they're playing the dolphins really kind of swayed me to say I'm gonna buy this, too.
I actually think he's gonna have a very, very good game.
I you know, I think you might see a touchdown in in this mix about six or seven catches and maybe on just under 100 yards receiving because we know that.
You know when when the ball's in his hands, he's going to make the plays.
And I think he's Ah, despite all the ah questions about his time in Oakland, Um, and what he did to get out of there.
You know, somewhat important to him, at least.
You know, he's not.
He's a guy who loves to work.
So, you know, you put him in an environment with all these guys are all focused on the same exact Kel.
I kind of feel like, you know, the Patriots gonna get the best out of them.
And I think you're gonna You're going to see that right away because they're gonna want to establish a connection.
And and again, I mean, against against the against the Dolphins, you're not going to get too much resistance.
So So, yeah, I'm gonna buy that.
I I say a B seven catches, I think I said, uh, 85 yards and guess what? Two touchdowns, two touchdowns he's hauling into today.
So Oh, that is a bold move.
What can I say? I've had a lot of coffee today.
I'm very bold right now.
Um, So So? So that's one.
Obviously one of the games I'm obviously looking for to, um in terms of, you know, what's what's coming up this Sunday.
We already talked about the Rams and ah, uh uh Saints.
And then, of course, you know, we have the Packer.
I mean, I'm sorry, the Raiders and the Chiefs on at four o'clock, so, you know, we got a pretty exciting slate of ah ah.
And if NFL Action this week and I will be watching on red Zone and just kind of just sitting through and whatever and just drinking some water, eating some, you know, avocado, you know, trying to become time Brady two points, but a little bit behind the eight ball on that, considering I haven't done any of the things he's ever done.
So, um, so we got about above 10 minutes left, so I think we'll jump into these predictions and I'm gonna go down the list here, and we'll just kind of throw out our score.
And I'm just gonna you know, hopefully we'll be right at least 10% of the time because I have a feeling that we're gonna be horribly or on Let's start off with the Clash in Baltimore, and that is Baltimore Ravens first, the Arizona Cardinals.
And actually, you know more.
I think about that.
This is actually pretty exciting matchup because you got Lamar Jackson and Kyla Murray, too, to the young quarterbacks in this league went head to head.
And, um, it would be interesting to see if the Ravens can follow up their big win from last week against another, uh, less than stellar team out in Arizona.
So I'll start, actually, and then I'll throw it over to you.
I got the Ravens winning.
Um, it's not gonna be 59 to 10 but I'm anticipating a 24 to 13 game from the Ravens, and, uh, you know they're gonna be marching to.
And what about you? Oh, that's a good one.
I I have the Ravens also winning.
I think that Lamar Jackson is you know, he has showed that he is more than the running back, that Bill upholding.
Envision him as I think that I got the Ravens 23 20.
I think I collar Murray is gonna show Maura what he showed in the fourth quarter of last week.
Yeah, I like that.
Um, again, it'll be exciting to see these two guys go at it, had the head.
And maybe it's Ah, preview of what's to come over the next several years.
So moving on to another one game, we got the Dallas Cowboys heading to Washington.
Take on the Redskins.
Um, I got the Cowboys wedding this game.
I think they're just a much better team.
I think I was like, uh, like a lot of people very impressed with how they played in week one.
Dak Prescott. What? Really good.
Obviously, Ezekiel Elliott, Zico, Elliot.
And, um, you know this team, actually, And again, I like knocking Cowboys fans and everything.
Like, you know, that's Cowboys Nation.
They look like just, ah, juggernaut of a team if everything breaks their way, and and by that I mean, you know, they don't avoid the injuries, so I have them winning this game fairly big, I think is gonna be somewhere in the range of 35 to 13 are 35 16 type of game.
I just think the Dallas Cowboys much better than the Redskins, and you know the Redskins have already lost areas guys for several weeks. I drink.
Peterson obviously is.
You know, he's done quite a bit in this league, but, um, I I just like this team.
Has they squandered an opportunity to start? Wanna know? Last week and I was using my continued.
So I got the Cowboys winning big against the rest.
It's funny because I look at the cowboysoffense and they have my favorite coordinator, Kellen Moore.
Blue denies one of my favorite college place because he was an undersized, scatter armed quarterback at Boise State, but he went 50 and three in that. No.
One does that individual one count football, and he has trans.
He's made the transfer to offense claim that you saw how different the Cowboys looked on offense.
Tellingme or in my mind helps them exponentially over, like getting them down the field.
I like the fact that he's he's a fearless according to and Washington, I just They have a stout defense.
I just don't trust Jay Gruden as faras offense.
They just don't end.
They don't have anything that would be able to pose a threat to the cop was on defense, so I think it's gonna be 34 6 Cowboys.
Yeah, so we're kind of kind of the same page when it comes to this is gonna be pretty easy.
Hey, look again.
We might be talking about a team that's playing in the NFC championship game of the Cowboys.
So I mean, this this team is a really, really, really good.
Um, so moving on, we got a battle of the A F C South with the Colts heading to Tennessee.
Um, I think this is a pretty easy game too thick.
I can kind of see, obviously I think they're the better team.
I think it's gonna be a close match, but I see, like a 2117 type of game, maybe a little bit lower scoring, because again, you know, this is a team that both offenses can be limited at times.
But, you know, again, this is a in division game, so it always they always play well against each other.
So I got the Titans squeak and this one out 21.
It's funny, like when I look at this game when the season started like, oh, this is gonna be one of those and injury luck feasting games.
Then what happened? What luck happens now You have Jacoby per set.
However, I I really like the Colts defense, and I really think they can confuse Marcus a mirror because they're they're quick up front.
There may not be the biggest, but they have speed and agility upfront.
And I really believe that they may not be to stop the name and I'll be to stop the run for Tennessee.
But they can stop the past.
And I kind of and leaning 28 26 colts.
Okay, All right, so we're getting getting some close games in here.
I feel like there might be a few other blowouts in here, including for me.
This next name that is Seattle and we We already kind of talked about this a little bit.
But Seattle at Pittsburgh, I think Seattle's gonna win big.
I'm a big Russell Wilson fan.
I think she's criminally underrated.
Somehow in this league, he doesn't get the just do that he deserves, but it kind of going on what we spoke about earlier in the show.
I think the Steelers are kind of at a crossroads right now.
Uh, I'm not quite sure how it's gonna play out, but I think they're just running into unfortunately, like you said, a pretty tough scheduled to start and that is running into Seattle.
So I think Seattle's gonna win pretty big.
You know, I want to say 28 Thio 28 to 10.
I think I actually I agree that the beat that was gonna happen, I think Bette Pittsburgh off pitch for offensively is gonna be limited.
And now that you have to Davian Clementi up in there, you have a stout, But you have a few years pass rush.
Ben is becoming a mobile by the moment.
I give it 27 nine seahorse.
Okay, so, yeah, we're both We're both kind of the same page.
This might be a pretty pretty long year for Pittsburgh, but given my history of picking games, they're probably gonna roll against the and we'll have to come back next week and eat crow or or we'll just ignore it and pretend like we didn't predict anything bad.
So game we have the Buffalo Bills who had the big comeback last week, um, heading to the giant.
So this is certainly not a Super Bowl preview.
This might be a preview of, ah, lottery pick battle.
Uh, although I do think the bills are don't want to say better.
I think they're more promising.
I think the feeling ties for the bills, especially if ah, Josh Allen can, you know, develop into a more efficient quarterback.
You know, I was sitting here going back.
It's like, Who do I pick here? I mean, I honestly, I think the bill's gonna win this game, but I'm clearly not know, convinced, because again, it's like, you know, this could be the game that Eli Manning all sudden looks like he's 28 again, and that's the one game you're gonna get out of the year.
And they could shellac the bills.
But I do think the Bills are gonna win this game in a very ugly, like, ugly back and forth.
Like not a good defensive, but like bad defensive game.
You nowhere but the offenses of just sloppy and it just doesn't work out Well, um, you know, I think they win this game on 9 to 6.
I'm going super low scoring on this one to your point about this.
He might be the one like game.
I think this is what he liked him.
I think Eli and Evident Ingrid connect a couple times, and I think that it will be 22.
Okay. All right.
So we do disagree on a few of these, which is good.
So, um, next game we have, ah, 40 Niners.
They're heading to ah, Cincinnati to take on the Bengals, so we gotta enter.
Ah, interconference game going on year here.
We to 40 Niners.
Um, yeah, I think.
Well, first, let me start with the Bengals.
They surprised me last week.
You know, we were both on here last week, talking about before the season started talking about the Bangles, and I think we both kind of fell on the same side of the fence when it comes to, we just don't think they're that good.
And without a J.
And this is a show that I did even earlier in the off season without a J Green.
I thought they were toast, but they surprised me Now again.
Can they do that? Two weeks in a row.
I mean, they have a pretty good opponent in the 40 Niners.
Who again, you know, you have their franchise quarterback is working too.
Get himself back from a knee injury.
Um, but we have two teams that I mean again, I kind of I don't really know what to think about about him anymore.
Again, I thought the Bengals were just gonna suck.
But, you know, that could still happen.
And I would be right.
But tonight they're not gonna suck.
I think they're gonna win this game.
I'm giving them the edge 2124 to 21.
And it's gonna be a last second field goal for the Bangles.
I think that the deal with all the promise and all the hope that the Niners turnout turning around under Tyler Shanahan, they gotta start put in string.
Somebody's quality wins together.
I know the Bangles really not a quality team because of any doll on being in the door.
And I think they do just enough here.
I I really I will in a given That that 17.
15 edge over the Bengals.
Well, I just looking, uh, we were flying through the show.
We actually only have about a minute left, so we're gonna have a little rapid fire here.
I'm just going to just give me the name.
You gave me the winner and I'll give you mine.
So I actually got coming up.
We got chargers at the Lions.
Who you got winning.
Go, Lions, Lions.
I got the Chargers.
Actually, you know, Battle of the, uh We're probably both be wrong there, but it's okay.
Vikings at the Packers Battle of the NFC North.
I got the Vikings winning this game.
Likings, I think.
Jaguars, the Texans, Jags.
Texans should repatriate that.
Dolphins, Not the Dolphins.
I got the cheese chiefs.
Hurt. It's a tough one, actually.
Okay, Saints and Rams.
I got the Rams Saints Saints. All right, there we go.
Bears Broncos, four o'clock.
There's, uh yeah, I I agree, cause the burger Denver Bronco.
So Sunday Night Football.
I got the Eagles.
I I think they're one of the best teams in the NFC.
That's a pretty choice for me.
Eagles in a beat down like maybe not.
And finally last but not least, we got the Browns going against the Jets.
I gotta go with the Browns here simply because of what we talked about earlier.
Brown's in, Ah, Beatdown.
Well, we had the rapid fire those last half of the games.
