was going on MD Nation on back, Dan Mater and I'm here with your weak to rankings in today's video.
We're gonna do it exactly how we did it last week, which was going over the quarterbacks, top 12 running backs, receivers and tight ends.
We're gonna mix it up on the scoring.
You guys get a taste off.
All that's available to you on the n d ff show dot com website for all of the rankings.
I have the quarterbacks we're gonna start off with here today.
I'm gonna kick it off with my number one, which is going to shock people all over the place.
Lamar Jackson is my number one quarterback.
It's not just because of what we saw him do against Miami, although it's partly do that.
It's the fact that he's shown that he's definitely developed as a pastor and he didn't even run the football.
It's also because the Arizona Cardinals are probably the second worst defense behind the Miami Dolphins in the entire league.
That is why I have Lamar Jackson going here.
There's no reason why they will not dominate again.
Will be 59 to 10.
Probably not, but Lamar Jackson, with his legs and the weapons that he has against that defense with an offense, is going to go up temple on the Arizona side, giving the Ravens extra opportunities.
Toe. Have the ball in their hands.
I think Lamar Jackson is as safe as they come.
With his high of a ceiling as they come for this week, My number two quarterback is Tom Brady.
Look, Tom Brady may only play 1/2 of football, or at least aggressively for 1/2 of football, but against the Miami Dolphins, he could put up 4 to 5 touchdowns in the first half with weapons like Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman and the newly acquired Antonio Brown, who will be playing on Sunday.
Tom Brady's through the Roof has all the makings of being a top notch Q B five for the rest of this season because of the weapons that they have and because of how the Patriots look calling plays.
Look, Ben's Pittsburgh, they were up by five free scores, and we're still throwing the ball deep.
This shows me this is a Patriot team that is not going to be run first they are going to be aggressive throughout their matchups and still continue to throw even when they have a big lead.
So I love Tom Brady for this week and moving forward, and the Patriots have one of the easiest schedules coming up in the next seven weeks.
Number three is Matt Ryan.
I expected to have a bounce back game.
Think of it this way.
He ran into a buzz saw in the Minnesota Vikings, and yet still Pelt passed for 300 yards and two touchdowns.
I still pretty good numbers.
At the end of the day, it was still a decent fantasy day from Matt Ryan.
Now he gets to go home in his dome against a Philadelphia secondary that look vulnerable to case Keenum, who threw 380 yards and two touchdowns on the Eagle secondary.
Matt Ryan is going to have to show that bounce back.
The whole offense is going to have to bounce back after last week at home.
I expect them to do so and put up big numbers and what should be a shootout type of game between the Falcons and the Eagles.
That's why Matt Ryan is my number three.
Number four is patched Mahomes, And the only reason Pat Mahomes is not my number one quarterback this week is simply because I don't think he's going to have to do a lot against the Raiders.
He's a little banged up.
He's gonna be a little bit more stationary than he normally is because of that sprained ankle this particular week.
And there's no Tyree killed.
Now look, that didn't stop them last year against Jackson Jaguars.
I understand this, however it does.
You should account for something as far as losing a weapon like Tyreek Hill.
And at the end of the day, Kansas City boy put up 27 points and we lead 27 to 14 and not feel the need to put any more strain on Patrick Mahomes and let the ground game do the work after that, especially in the second half of this game.
So we simply my number four quarterback because he may just not have to throw now.
They are aggressive for all 4/4.
Of course, he could finish his my Q B one for the week.
Of course, he's going to be awesome.
Of course, he's going to be in the top five, but I'm a little bit worried about them taking it easy with Patrick Holmes against the Raiders this Sunday.
I have Dak Prescott.
How could you not like what you saw out of Dak Prescott? How could you not like what you saw out of Kellen Moore calling the plays last week? Look, it wasn't just because they were playing against the Giants, which is a porous defense and will be all season long.
There's no doubt about it.
It was the motion.
It was the guys lining up all over the field and getting in position to succeed.
Dak Prescott looks good.
He looks like he was born to run this offense, and with more our pose at his disposal, he may actually take off and run a little bit more than he has in your past.
On top of it, I love him against the Washington Redskins here.
Carson once had a big game with them, and the Cowboys, with Michael Gallop emerging, have just as many weapons as the Philadelphia Eagles.
Now that Prescott could find himself competing for a top five quarterbacks spot for the rest of the year as well, and he's number five for me this week.
Shawn Watson Here is my number six quarterback.
He look good against the Saints.
I know he had a pick, but he looked good against the Saints.
You look ready to leave this team.
He saw what he could do When he has all of his weapons on the field.
His back is okay.
He's going to be good to go.
There's nothing to worry about there.
He will still run around when the opportunities present themselves.
You're going up against the Jacksonville Jaguars and in division game.
It might be a more competitive game.
The Jacksonville Jaguars assumedly would have a axe to grind to come back this week after that defense was shown up against the Chiefs.
But the Houston Texans are at home and you have a ton of weapons there.
And I do think at the end of the day, do Shawn Watson gives you a very safe floor because he's gonna do a little bit of everything for you.
Number seven is Carson Wentz.
It goes back to having that shootout game that I expect to happen between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons this week.
All of his weapons look great and do Sean Jackson did exactly what I said all summer he was going to do, which is open up the rest of the field for not just him, not just for Carson Wentz, but for everyone.
Jeffrey had one on one looks all day.
Nelson Hagler was acting peppered in the running backs opened up.
Everything was opened up because of Sean Jackson can take the top off of the defense.
And that's something the Eagles have not had.
As as a result, Carson Wentz has nothing but easy reads all over the field.
I love Carson Wentz.
This week, he will continue to be a top 10 quarterback week in and week out.
Filled Members is my number eight guy.
This week, the Chargers are going to be taking on the Detroit Lions, and they are going to have to throw, throw, throw.
Look, if they're going to keep leaning on Austin Heckler, that means they're going to have to be a pass first team because they do not just sit there and grind it out.
If Justin Jackson, Austin heckler not power guys, they're not closer guys.
They're constantly going to be throwing the football to open up the run game.
Which means Philip Rivers is goingto have plenty of opportunities to be able to throw the football.
Now Mike Williams may not place, and Hunter Henry is definitely not going to play, so he's going to be without some weapons.
But Keenan Allen, awesome tacular Travis Benjamin and Justin Jackson should be enough against Detroit after watching them plummet in the second half against Arizona Cardinals for Philip Rivers to have a good week.
Number nine is Andy Dalton.
I have any doll my number nine quarterback heading this week.
He impressed the living hell out of me against the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday.
Look that that game was close.
It was 21 to 20.
It was never out of hand.
And yet any Dalton's still threw the ball for 50 times over 400 yards, he looks like he loves that often.
Zach Taylor looks like he's going to be a hell of a plate caller, and he moved guys around.
He actually got something out of John Ross.
No one's been able to get something out of John Ross Oh, so far So I love what they've been able to do with the offense.
And regardless of whether Joe Mixon is there or not, Giovanni Bernard will be.
I would pick up the slack.
Amy Dalton was going to go against a San Francisco four yard defense that played better last week, but I believe that had more to do with the sloppy play of the offense of the Buccaneers.
Then great play by the defense.
I 100% expect the Cincinnati Bengals offense to be able to move and score the football.
Andy Dalton is, in my time, attend this week.
I have Jared golf.
I know we had a bad week, but he was on the road in Carolina in a game in which they kind of just leaned on the run and got up early.
This game's going to be against the Saints at home.
Jerrick off is a much different quarterback at home.
They're going to get their weapons going.
The stains were just in a shoot out with the Houston Texans.
I don't see why this game would be much different, quite frankly, so.
Jerrick office going to bounce back this week and be the number 10 quarterback for me.
Overall, Number 11 is Matthew Stafford.
He's healthy, is clear that his back is not hurting him anymore.
Matthew Stafford is going to be ready to go this week.
I going up against the Chargers.
Coach Jacoby percent look like he was pretty good, pretty solid against them, and Matthew Stafford is ready to go.
This is not as much of a run first team as we're used to seeing at Darrell Bevell called games because of Matthew Stafford because of the weapons that they have.
And now, with the addition of Danny Amendola and TJ Hawkinson to go with guys like Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones, he has weapons all over the field, not to mention being able to dump it off to explosive playmaker.
That is, Carry on Johnson.
Matthew Stafford may find himself inside the top 12 all season long, quite frankly, especially given the match up. Number 12.
Here I have Ben Roethlisberger.
That's right, Ben Roethlisberger.
I expect all of you to drop your jaws to floor on that one.
Ben Roethlisberger's at home.
We know he's a much better quarterback at home since the night he just got lit up for 400 yards passing against our I'm sorry.
Seattle just got little by 400 hours passing from Cincinnati.
Ben Roethlisberger is going to do something similar at home.
There's gonna be a ton of volume.
It's clear they're going to be a pass first team first and foremost this year.
That's why I love Ben Roethlisberger at home against the Cincinnati Bangles.
He will be a top 12 quarterback this season.
Next up, we're gonna be going with the running backs and top 12 running backs for my half point PPR rankings for you so you can get a different scoring perspective.
Number one is Christian McCaffrey.
How could it not be in tonight's game going up against Tampa Bay? There should be plenty of opera.
Actually, the entire offense is running through Christian McCaffrey.
Cam Newton does not look like himself.
He does not look like he has a great arm.
He's going to be checking it down all season long, and all of the carriers are clearly gonna go through Christian McCaffrey as well.
He's pretty much just as safe as they come, and there should be points to be had for Carolina in this game against Tampa Bay.
Number two. I have his album. Camara.
Alvin Kamara is going to have a great game against the ramps.
They are probably going to have to utilize them quite a bit like they did against Houston throughout the game, because I expect that game to be a shoot out once more.
He's the type of guy where all he needs is 15 touches total, and he's going to bring you home a top three fantasy week for the running back position, especially in half point or full point.
PPR leaks as he has such a glider and effective and explosive playmaker to be ableto have.
I love Alvin Kamara every single week.
He's going to be within my top three, and he's number two for me this week.
Number three is Ezekiel Elliott loving, going as Washington.
He split the carries with Tony Pollard last week.
I expect him to have his legs under him going into this week and to get back to carrying the ball 20 times a game, he's gonna be back to being Ezekiel Elliott, unstoppable behind that offense of line, it is healthy and ready to go and played very well last week.
Elliot will be back in your top three each and every week from here on out.
I have Mark Ingram. Yes, Mark.
Anger was my number four running back overall in half point.
PPR leaks he is going to dominate against the Arizona Cardinals.
I know there's some people out there that would like you to believe that this is somehow a three headed monster.
It is not, It proved last week.
Gus Average had 17 carries for a measly three yards.
Lee brought into the game until it was well in hand and he finished out the rest of the game.
I was running him into the line of scrimmage over and over again.
The bleed, the clock.
Mark Ingram, on just 14 carries, went for 100 yards and two touchdowns last week, and the Arizona Cardinals run defense is pathetic and will be dominated the line of scrimmage up against that offense of line of the Baltimore Ravens.
This is Mark Ingram, and then behind him is Justus Hill.
Gus Hours is nothing but a guy to come in to spell Mark Ingram once in a while, when they want to run the ball on first and second down, that is it. That is all.
Mark Ingram is going to get at least eight Top five running back Number five I have is, say, Kwame Barclay.
And the reason I have, say, Quan Barkley, number five is because they're going up against the Buffalo Bills, who do have a good, legitimate defense now.
Lave Yon Bell was able to do pretty well fed Emmick and fantasy wise, but that was because of the sheer volume that he received Now, say Kwan is better.
Stay calm will receive a similar type of volume, especially if Sterling Shepherd does miss because he is in the concussion protocol.
But I expect, say, Qanbar, Barkley to be just fine in this game.
I expected to find the end zone, which he did not last week, and we will see.
Barclay will be just fine for you in the top five.
And, of course, he always had a chance to B R B one.
I just will have him a little bit lower throughout the season because I do believe teams are going to keep putting nine guys in the box and that will eventually wear him down with no threat outside of Evan Ingram to really help him out in the passing game.
Number six is Austin Heckler.
Yeah, he has to be number six.
Not just because he had a great game last week, but because of the eye brow raising volume that he receives in last week's matchup.
Heckler is going to dominate the touches like he did against Justin Jackson.
Then, Yeah, I like him a lot, especially.
We're talking half point in full point PPR League.
He's a guy who's going to be sprinkled in.
He's gonna be throwing the ball too all the time and look pretty good as a rusher when he's able to get it on draws and third downs.
He's never going to see more than 67 guys in the box because the Chargers are good as spreading you out and being able to throw the football.
So that works to his benefit as well.
Now I do think, Doesn't Jackson might be a little bit more involved, but Austin hecklers clearly going to be a primetime past catcher, especially if with no Mike Williams and no Hunter Henry this week, he's going to get even more volume in the passing game.
If nothing else, Number seven I have is Dalvin Cook.
How could you not like Dalvin Cook going up against Green Bay? I don't think Green Bay's defense, even though they look good against Chicago, is ready for the Gary Kubiak system off the Minnesota Vikings.
Their offense of line look great in the run.
Game down quickly, as explosive as he ever has, and I think the physicality is going to wear down the defense.
Even in Green Bay, it's clear this is going to be a run first team as Kirk Cousins on Lee threw the ball for 10 times.
Now, of course, he's going for the ball for more than that. But the point still remains.
Even if he does, Dalma Cook will be involved in that aspect of the game as well.
I think he's a safe as they come as long as he's on the field and that's why I have him.
At number seven.
Number eight is Leonard for net letter for net, even though he didn't have a great game against cancer achieves a week ago what I was hoping for him the entire summer came true.
Letter for Net is the volume guy.
He's getting all of the work, all of the carries, all the passing down work.
It is all flowing through him and going up against the Houston Texans.
I expect that game to be a little bit more under control.
At least early on that it was for Kansas City, and I expect little Fernet to get in the red zone.
The New Orleans Saints had a very good time running the football, and I expect the Jaguars to lean on that, even more so with Gardner Minshew going into the week as the starter.
I like little Fernet a lot.
Number nine is Josh Jacobs.
That's why I have Josh Jacob's number nine.
First of all, he catches the ball and run the ball.
He is the workhorse there in Oakland.
That much was clear coming out of the Denver game, and he's going up against Kansas City, who is not a very good offense.
So even if he doesn't get a lot of Carrie's because Oakland's going to have to come back from behind and throw the ball time.
He got all the passing work as well.
Yes, Jalen Rashard play, but he wasn't targeted once.
They definitely want to use Josh.
Take us for every facet of the game.
I expect that to continue in a plus match up against the Kansas City Chiefs number 10 is Chris Carson.
They are clearly going to be leaning on Chris Carson.
That was not a committee.
That was a one man show.
What Rush I, Penny as the backup, and I think that's going to continue, at least for one more week.
The biggest thing, of course, is that they threw the ball to Chris Carson, targeting him seven times and got six receptions out of it.
I expect Chris Carson to be getting heavily involved.
Once again, Number 11 I have is lay beyond Bel Avion.
Belle is going up against the Cleveland Browns.
Derrick Henry had a great game against them.
Lave yon bells better now.
He may not have the same type of production.
Sam Darla's not going to play in that game, but Levy on Belle is somebody you're going to be able to lean on weekend week out, and there should be a plus matchup against Cleveland team.
That's going to be better against passing teams.
Not so much against rushing teams, especially when they have an elite running back.
Leave Young Bill.
It has a safe volume floor for you this week, and I wouldn't be surprised if he found the end zone as well.
Number 12 Sony Michelle Because how could it not be? How could it not be going up against the Miami Dolphins after watching what the Baltimore Ravens did to them? How could you not think Sony Michelle is not going to just get the ball 30 times a close out game in the second half? He's going to run, even though he did not have a good game against Pittsburgh.
In fact, he had an awful game against Pittsburgh.
He still had 15 carries, which was more than James White and Rexburg had combined so clearly.
When they want to run the football, it's going to be Sony Michelle, and there's gonna be plenty of opportunities to do so against the Miami Dolphins.
All right, Next up, we're gonna be talking about the top 12 wide receivers in this one, and that's what we're going to use to close it out because we got to get ready for the Thursday night game tonight.
So my top 12 wide receivers kicks off with no other than Keenan Allen.
Like I talked about 100 No Hunter Henry, No Mike Williams this week, most likely.
So that means Keenan Allen is going to have targeted for days because he plays a lot in the slot.
Variously may not follow him there.
That remains to be seen.
He could have a tough matchup, but even if he does, it does not matter.
Philip Rivers is going to have to force feed him the ball when they look to pass.
If it's not going to him, it will be going to Austin Meckler Keenan Allen, especially in PPR leagues.
Which is what I'm talking about in this circumstances is going to be one of the top guys, and I have him number one this week.
Number two is Michael Thomas.
He picked up right where he left off a week ago.
Michael Thomas was got 10 catches last Monday night's game.
They're going to have to focus on him, give him the ball at every turn.
He is the most dependable wide receiver that they have, and especially when they're on the road, they tend to loom or on Thomas and album camera, because they tend to play a little bit more conservative.
And against the Rams, points are goingto have to be scored.
So Michael Thomas is my number two.
Number three is DeAndre Hopkins.
Clearly, it didn't matter that Sami Walker's was going up against Bouvier and Jalen Ramsey throughout that game, and I don't think it's going to matter for DeAndre Hopkins, either.
Look, of course, he's had a lot experience.
Planning s these guys, but he is the number one.
DeShaun Watson looks, too, and he looked fantastic in last week's game against the Saints, and he was going up against Marshon Lattimore, who is another great corner in this league.
So the Hut DeAndre Hopkins is just match up proof and my number three receiver number four have is Julio Jones.
Julio is going to have a bounceback week look and what was a terrible game.
He still wound up having a decent fancy day because he did score in Week one.
Julio Jones scored in Week one.
Finally, in that game last week.
Expect against the Eagle, which is a much worse secondary, has a great matchup at home and the offense that should bounce back, including the quarterback Matt Ryan.
I think Julio Jones going to go for 100 yards and a touchdown and get targeted 6 to 7 or get targeted 8 to 9 times with 67 catches.
He's going to be great in PPR and I have them.
Number four, number five juice misused.
Or this goes hand in hand with Ben Roethlisberger being able to make a comeback in this week.
Dan Rods were great at home.
The Steelers agree.
At home Juju Smith shooter's going up against Seattle.
Who's weakness is the slot corner.
He's going to be able to take advantage of his match up there.
Did not game plan like the New England Patriots dio, he will get open.
They will have to get back on track, and that's going to start with getting shoots the ball more.
He's going to have a big week this week, and that's why I have him.
Number six is Sammy Watkins.
How could you not? There's no Tyree killed.
They're going up against Oakland Raiders, who just lost Jonathan Abram and are susceptible in the secondary with a bad defense.
I know it didn't look like it against the Denver Broncos, but the Denver Broncos do not have an offense like the can City Chiefs deal.
Pat Mahomes will be looking for standing walk ins, and he's been looking for Travis Kelsey the entire game.
And the biggest thing here is that walk ins looks healthier than he has in years.
He was explosive, and he's going to have a big week with good opportunity here against the Oakland Raiders, and I have him inside on my top 10.
Number seven is a Mari Cooper.
Josh Norman is not the corner that he used to be.
That was clear when all Sean Jeffrey got in the end zone twice last week.
Amari Cooper looks great.
He did have a little bit of a flare up, he said during the game with his foot, but he was fine and practicing in full on Wednesday, which indicates to me that he is going to be very much good to go and 100% or as close to 100% as he possibly could be.
He's still the most targeted guy.
He's still the number one wide receiver.
Even though Michael Gallup had more catches in last week's game, they're going to use him, and I love the offense of the Cowboys moving forward.
Number eight is Alan Robinson.
Number eight is Alan Robson.
Look after watching what Tyrell Williams, who had been a compliment, why receiver his entire career was able to do to the Denver Broncos in last week's matchup? How could you not like Alan Robinson, who is a much better wide receiver and was the only offensive player who actually showed up for the Thursday night game last week for the Chicago Bears? I love Alan Robinson here.
He's going to be the most targeted guy that Brisky goes to.
He's going to have a hell of a floor because of the volume that he expects to see, and he's going to be able to abuse Bradley.
Roby is the outside corner of the Denver Broncos.
I like Alan Robson a lot in this game.
At number eight, number nine is Robert Woods.
Marshawn Lattimore is most likely going to see brain and cooks for most of this game.
So that means the mismatches air going to come on the back side with P. J.
Williams, and that's going to be the mixture of Robert Woods and Cooper Cup all day long.
Robert was was the most targeted receiver against Carolina last week and had a very good floor.
I expect him to get somewhere close to 100 yards and possibly find the end zone in this matchup to, especially at home against the Saints, who are vulnerable on that back side.
Robert Woods is my number nine guy.
Number 10 is the Von See Adams? Yeah, I'm a little bit lower on him this week just because I worry about the Green Bay offense.
Matt LeFlore looks like an awful play caller.
And frankly, I would not be surprised if he winds up being one and done as a head coach for the Green Bay Packers.
Because that's how pathetic it looked.
It looked exactly what he did against with Tennessee last year, calling the place which was horrible until they decided to give the ball to Derrick Henry.
They don't have a Derrick Henry.
They have Aaron Rodgers, though, and apparently Matt, with floor, refuses to use him.
So until Aaron Rodgers goes AWOL, I worry about the Green Bay Packers offense.
But Devante Adams is still going to be a top 10 because it's just too good on compact.
The fact that he has Matt with floor calling, the plays, eggs, a viewer Rhodes is going to match up against him.
And he looked pretty good against Julio throughout the week, even though he got a little bit nicked up in that game.
He should be good to go.
So Davante Adams has a little bit tougher matchup.
And that's why he's my number 10.
Number 11 is Tyler Lockett, yet.
I love Tyler Lockett.
First of all, the slot receiver is going to be the Achilles heel off the Pittsburgh Steelers, and you put in a slot receiver who has big playability.
Tyler Lockett is going to have a big week.
I know he only had the one catch for 44 yards and a touchdown a week ago.
Metcalf was more heavily targeted, but Tyler Lockett is going to finish the year as the number one wide receiver of the Seattle Seahawks.
It starts with this week.
He's going to be more involved, and he's going to have the best match up off all the past catchers for the Seattle Seahawks.
I love Tyler Lockett here.
He has big playability, and I think he's going to have a safe volume floor this particular week in a game that could wind up having a lot of throws from both teams in this week.
Number 12 is Odell Beckham Jr.
I expect a Cleveland Browns, the bounce back after they're showing in last week's game.
They're going up against the Jets on Monday Night Football.
What a great way to make a statement.
They should be able to do whatever they want because the Jets offense is going to be in question.
With Trevor Siemian running the show, Odell Beckham Jr still had a decent game.
Last, he was seven catches for 70 yards.
I expect them all to get back on track and be good to go in Monday night's game.
You're going to see Cleveland Browns on display.
Odo Beckham is my number 12 guy that's gonna wrap it up, make sure for the tight ends and all of the rest of the rankings that you want to see.
Whether it's standard half point or full point. PPR.
