about getting things.
Uh, destroy the Fiat were all about the fan chain, and we're all about the Bitcoin.
So Ah, for you folks out there who are Ah, you know, in it for the cash, all these new customers.
I don't know if you know this or not, but, uh, more about nothing.
We were ah, third place in November 2018.
So we're basically orgies on the platform.
Anyway, we're here to talk about the Pittsburgh Steelers.
If you watch our streams, Um, we do cover the usually this Sunday night games or any night games we can't do.
Ah, we can't do streams all the time.
Steve and I all that.
But I know I wish we could, um, mostly, it's because I treat my relationship with my wife as a credit card and, uh, you see if I make her too angry Well, that's called Max and your wife credit card, and then you gotta pay it back.
Pay back though.
I'm here in Ah, Pittsburgh.
It is Wednesday, September 11th a solemn day for Pittsburghers, someday from New Yorkers.
A solemn day for all of America.
So, in honor of all of you in America.
I am drinking American Light by the pairs.
So God bless America.
God bless everybody out there.
Let's talk a little bit about the Steelers this week.
Um, really embarrassing.
Talking about losing to the Patriots, a 33 to 3.
Good thing we put up that field goal.
Chris Boswell, of course, was, Ah, total trash last year.
So, um you know, I guess we felt a little bit better about not completely having a trash kicker again this year.
But, man, where there are a lot of things wrong with the Steelers and there's a lot of great things going on with the Patriots.
Obviously, the big story for everyone out there is Antonio Brown.
This guy just can't go more than 24 hours with making without making some kind of huge headline.
Obviously, he's had a lot of, ah, a lot of trouble this off season and a lot of trouble even in the end of last season, the latest with him.
Everybody knows by now.
If you don't know, I don't know how you're seeing this show to find out because we're in a really niche weird part of where sports and crypto currency kind of collide.
But Antonio Brown was He is actually being accused in civil court of sexual assault or rape or whatever you want to say, So we'll have to see what happens with that.
It is civil court.
But who knows when things reach kind of that level, especially when they blow up on a national scale like that, a big profile person like a bee might go to criminal side.
And that's usually not good for, Ah, for people in the NFL if you want to continue your career even.
But I'm not gonna speculate on because who knows? And you'll only get in trouble when you speculate one way or another on that.
But regardless of that, I'm here to talk football and wow! Did the Steelers look absolutely trashed against the Patriots? I gotta hand it to the Patriots.
So when I was a kid, the Patriots, they were, um, they beat us in 2001 in the F C championship.
We had Cordell Stewart take a minute to sip on that name.
They had quarters. Are we headquarters.
Stuart Rather and Tom Brady had just come in halfway through the season for Drew Bledsoe and he beat us in the A f C championship.
Man, I was heartbroken.
I was like, Man, this is This is it. I'm gonna see.
The Steelers won the Super Bowl.
I I saw them lose in 95 or 96 the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl.
But I barely remember that we lost to John Elway in 97 which I remember a little bit better.
Ah, that was in the A F C championship, and Elway went on to win the Super Bowl.
One Brady's first year is a starter throughout the playoffs.
We lost Courthouse. Stuart was our quarterback.
Then, 04 came around.
That was, Ah, Big Benjamin Ruthless bag as rookie season.
And ah, actually went to a game that year and I saw them.
I saw the Steelers beat the Patriots live.
Um, maybe was the Eagles.
I don't remember now.
I think it was the Patriots.
Um, and anyway, we beat them live.
We go on to the NFC Championship in 04 So that's three years after we lose again.
And oh my God, I hated the pager.
It's so bad with all my heart and soul and I was like This total yen's or like like just whatever we can do to beat Tom Brady.
Now these things are a little bit different.
We're like what you know 15 years later, and Tom Brady still reigns supreme.
But to be honest, all I do is respect the guy because, um, they run a tight ship there, and that's why they're the greatest.
That's why they're the Super Bowl champions.
Honestly, I think they need to cut a B.
I don't know if there's news about that.
I know, Um, belch.
I kind of had a press conference today, but they're all about winning there, whereas it seems like the Steelers were more all about like, I don't know, swag and being friends with people in the locker room.
And so there were quite a few performances for the Steelers.
Excuse me, It's this American light.
Quite a few performances for the Steelers in which I was disappointed in Let's start off Dante Moncrief.
Uh, I don't know if you saw this around, I would show clips of the game, but one I was testing O.
B s earlier in the clips look like garbage.
You could go back and look at it if you want.
And two, I don't know if sportscaster would actually even allow that.
So we're going in, touch a sportscaster and find out if we can even show clips because I would love to do that.
A lot of other people on this platform are doing that, but, um, just to continue talking about it, um, without any replace for you folks.
He had, like, Maur drops and he had catches.
I think he had, like, 11 targets, uh, in, like, seven yards.
So he set an NFL record for most targets ever by a wide receiver to not get over 10 yards or something crazy like that.
On top of that, we have but do pre who I think had a terrible game, and Terrell Edmonds, who had a terrible game.
Terrell Edmonds was our first round pick as a stealer for your Steeler fans out there.
First pick for um, the Steelers last year.
Coaches join the broadcast anyway.
The, uh, the Steelers dropped a TRO in men's first overall last year.
And the guy, I mean, I guess on paper and him into budget for your kind of the same. Like on paper.
These guys are okay, but they you watch the game and they're like a highlight reel for the other team.
Not necessarily, but do Priest so much.
And maybe it's Turell admits being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
But Turo Edmonds, you see the first touchdown.
So the game starts often.
Actually, the Steelers defense plays pretty well.
Our offense is terrible all night, so obviously we didn't drive.
The ball didn't score.
But we did hold the Patriots back on a few.
They're opening drives.
I think maybe the 1st 2 or three drives, Um, the first drive.
I know we force the three and outs, so things were going well.
Steve and I have a couple iron cities with the boys, Um, just hanging out, you know, and, uh, all of a sudden, they throw what looked like Maybe it was either a dig or drag, too.
Josh Gordon, formerly of the Cleveland Browns, and, ah, he hurdled over Joe Hayden, who is one of our surest tacklers in the secondary, but obviously not on that play and then continued on Thio.
It wasn't even like he's stiff armed Turell Edmonds, or made him like look bad in a way where it was like, Oh, Josh Gordon is clearly physically dominant to this Turell Edmund's guy tour elements just like whiffed like he didn't know what to do.
He's never seen someone hurdle over a guy, or he was just so sure that Joe Hayden was the guy in front of him that Joe Hayden was going to be the one that was gonna make the tackle and, uh, Terrell Edmunds just I don't think he likes contact very much. He's not.
He's not a very big guy, and I don't think he is the answer for the Steelers.
Um, and then on top of that, you have my boy Bud laid up with your bitch Dupri.
The reason we call him that on the show if anybody's not familiar with the Steelers and all of our drama that we've had, is that after a loss last year, Bud answered some random guy on Twitter like a nobody on Twitter.
I don't know if I was a pro athlete getting paid millions of dollars, I wouldn't be wasting my time answering these types of people on Twitter and yet a bud Dupri bud, Bud, Bud laid up with your bitch bud, let me take a sip.
But you pretty answer the guy and said something to the effect of Yeah, well, I'm laid up with your bitch.
So who knows what the hell he's talking about there or what? He was even thinking there when he did that, but ah, regardless.
But Dupri does not get a pass rush.
He was the first round pick, I believe, three years ago.
And, ah, between him and trail Edmund's Man, we're just not good at first round draft picks.
And you know what? I tell Steve this Steve's usually on the stream with me when we ah, when we commentate the games of life.
I told Steve this all the time.
There's a reason why the Steelers talent has dropped off in the past few years.
And the reason is look, it are draft picks on defense.
I don't even know if that guy's still in the league.
I don't know if that guy's still in the league.
I mean these air first round draft picks.
I'm talking about exclusively first round draft picks already.
Burns doesn't start.
Doesn't start for us.
He might. He's having our Nickelback.
Um, who else we have on that list? I think T j What? He was a first round pick.
He plays, but I think t j wants a bit overrated.
I think, Honestly, we were just kind of shocked to see anybody contribute Who's a first round pick.
But Dupri also on that list.
Not a first round pick, but another high draft pick.
Maybe a second rounder.
Um, just garbage.
These guys don't see the field.
And so you wonder why a team that went from having top five defense perennial top five defense has now turned into Not very good.
Oh, Ryan cheesier another pick there and not to knock on Ryan.
She's here because he was actually not a miss in the draft, but rather someone who got injured rather, unfortunately, um, but he's not on the field regardless.
So, regardless of how you're not on the field, just looking at it from a perspective of are these people producing or not? Um, Ryan cheesier, obviously not on the field for us.
So the question then becomes what is it is a coaching.
I mean, is it, um you know, Is it is it the Is it the guys that run the H? Is it the H R department, so to speak? I'm not quite sure, but I can tell you that there's some coaching issues we have problems with here.
And Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Thanks for joining us.
If you're on the weekly Steelers midweek explosion on if it's gonna be weekly.
Well, let's talk about some of the coaching decisions.
Some of the play calling man.
I remember back when we had Bruce Arians.
I think Bruce Arians might have been our offensive coordinator when the Steelers won the Super Bowl in 08 Everybody remembers that famous moments.
Um uh, What was it? The hold on.
Steve actually just texted me right now.
He said he How did the O.
S Tesco? I just got the email.
I'm going to say live right now, brother.
Sorry for everybody.
But personally, I don't remember who are offensive coordinator was it had to have either been Bruce Arians.
I guess it could have been wizened hunt, but I think was Bruce areas where we won the Super Bowl with that famous Santonio Holmes catch in the corner of the end zone there.
And, uh, I complained about the offense back then.
Oh, man, Ah, Steelers.
A stupid yen's ER's drinking beer at the local dive bar, complaining about that style.
Er's over there on North Shore.
Let me take a sip of beer.
They're complaining about the stale er's Hoover on nor short.
That's what people want.
Some of them talk like that, and it's actually mostly people from the neighborhood called Shaler.
I don't know why, but that's like the number one Shaler accent is just Pitts burgher.
Regardless, uh, we were complaining about Bruce Arians back then.
Then we got Todd Haley.
Todd Haley at least did a better job of keeping Ben standing upright, not getting his block knocked off every single game.
And then, um, we hated Todd Haley.
I think him and Ben didn't get along.
There's just too much drama like to understand what this team we just need to deal with, who wins.
I'm tired of dealing with, like who we like and who we dislike, and it's just like collects and drama and stupid shit with this team.
So So we end up with ah, Ren Di Fi Connor or whoever this guy is, he's He's terrible.
James Connor is a James Connors, actually.
Good running back.
I think he's a top.
He's probably one of the top power running backs in the league.
I don't know how many power running backs there are even left in the league now, but I would be willing to bet he's number one or two of power running backs.
You've got you know, Zeke, uh, David Johnson lady on Belle.
Um, I don't know.
There's a lot of good You got the guy from l.
Whatever his name is, You got the guy from, ah, wherever.
Okay, people are better.
Anyway, Loomis says the Steelers are trash.
I do agree with you, man.
Stealers looked really bad in week one.
Um, I do agree with you, man.
Um and and actually, we need to dive into what they're gonna do in week two.
Um, but let's just talk a little bit more.
I'm gonna recap a little bit more about the patriots.
Obviously, we didn't think we were gonna win that game.
It's always and awesome. Upset.
Beat the Patriots as we talked about, you know, being a kid and watching us lose the Tom Brady for, you know, close to 20 years now.
Um, but it's nice to beat them.
We got the win, even though we don't make the playoffs, so I don't know.
It's not really a good trade off.
Two years ago, it was total bullshit.
Jesse James caught that pass.
But whatever rules are rules, and it didn't matter anyway.
Could be lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the playoffs.
Loomis's a Patriots fan.
Well, guess what? I don't want to see your lame Loomis.
Anyway, buddy, um, if you just joined the stream now, I did say that, you know, I used to hate the patriots, and I was younger when I was a kid.
You know, emotional like like, oh, man, I can't stand this.
Watch us losing the NFC championship to Patriots in, uh 01 and 04 But you know what? You just you just learn to respect them.
I don't know if it's like Stockholm syndrome or whatnot.
You just learn to respect the culture there.
And, uh, just what are you gonna do? Like there's a reason they win.
There's a reason the Patriots are perennial champions.
And whatever the Steelers air doing, there's a reason that we're, ah, constant Dumpster fire every year.
Um, hopefully a b doesn't take whatever culture the Steelers had and takes it to the Patriots.
Um, I don't know what is gonna have a baby.
Personally, I don't think he's going to see the field this year, But I do want to talk a little bit about, uh, thank you, Loomis.
Use our number one fan.
Nice broadcasting their spears fan, Loomis. I do.
I thank you very much for the compliments.
And I must say, um, if you're interested, you should definitely watch it during stealer games.
That's when we do our best broadcast.
Usually we're a two man crew.
Steve's here with me, but he's not here right now.
Although he did just join the broadcast.
So, Mr Mohawk, look out for him in the broadcast, Um, talking a little bit about next week, the Steelers are taking on the Seahawks at home at Heinz Field.
What's gonna happen in this game.
Well, the Steelers showed absolutely nothing in Week one.
There's pretty much nothing you could take from Week one and try to apply it in a positive way.
Too weak to If anything, you're probably taken Seattle with the points.
Um, I think it might be like a four point spread, or at least it opened at that.
I don't know if it's going to stay at that, Mr Mohawk says.
What's up, brother? What's going on? Mr.
Mohawk, anyway, Give me, uh, give me a thumbs up.
Or someone just tell me.
Does the audio sound good? Can you hear a little background music going on? I'd love to get some feedback.
I know there's a delay.
B s for the games because we tried to make it, you know, right on time with the actual game.
But with these midweek checkups, we can do a little bit of awesome production value.
I do. All pictures begins here on sportscaster.
I will definitely check you out.
Well, it's a lot easier.
Do actually you know what a tree's games are? Probably boring to watch with you, buddy, because it's just went after one over here in Steeltown.
We gotta drink shitty, cheap American light.
And we got a fuckin try not to kill ourselves by the end of the game, buddy.
Oh, man, don't let me take a sip of beer here.
It sounds perfect. Thank you.
I appreciate that.
We got the mixer going courtesy of my co host, Steve, who's not here.
But, you know, we'll see him soon anyway, Coming up this week.
We got the we got the Seahawks in town.
You know what? It's interesting.
I want to see, um, here's the thing.
You see a West Coast team come over to the East Coast right and play a one o'clock game.
That's always a tough challenge for the West Coast teams.
It's I think it's I think it's a tough challenge for any team to travel across the country like what was it the past nine years? We got Oakland, we lose, and we barely beat the, uh, the 40 Niners.
So I'll be interested to see if Seattle can come here and when in Heinz Field.
I do agree that not agree, but I think in this is purely speculation.
I'm not an expert in any way.
Um, I think the Steelers are gonna bounce back.
I think that there's no way you could play worse than you did in week one.
I don't know what the hell happened in week one, but it was almost like if Bill Belichick was really this much of a maniac, maybe his whole strategy was like, Let's just sign a bee just to fucking get in.
The Steelers heads for week one because I think, honestly, the Steelers had a great pre season.
Our defense can't.
I mean, it can't get worse than last year.
People think it improved, but our defense was actually pretty good last year.
I think we're top five in past Russian sacks last year, so it could get worse.
But I don't I just don't see that like we've got Devin Bush.
We've got Mark Baron.
Now we bolster our secondary with that guy from Kansas City playing the second corner position.
I think that the Steelers events is gonna improve, or at least stay the same, which it wasn't terrible.
Last year wasn't as bad as it wasn't years past was basically a gap between Troy Polamalu retiring and and, you know, like, actually Shay's, you're coming to and being a leader, and then he gets injured, and then it's like, Okay, that was short lived.
So I think we're getting better as a defense.
And we had a good preseason.
We had a good preseason.
I know that doesn't mean shit nobody gives us Nobody cares about preseason, but in good night, Loomis.
Uh, thanks for from a Patriots fan or from a stealer.
Sandra Patriots fan.
We can all be friends here.
Um, I do think that there's no way our defense could could downgrade.
We've gotta either be.
It's either gonna be a vertical move or it's gonna be We're gonna get a little better a little bit better.
I think personally gonna get better.
I think just week one, like you're playing in Foxboro, who wins in Foxboro 33 3 Now that's that's not very good at the game.
Was like over half time.
I I can't stand our coaches.
I know a lot of people in Pittsburgh we all loved just like shit on the coaches and the coaching decisions.
I could sit here and rattle off coaching decisions all night, but I do think we improve against Seattle.
We've had Seattle's number in the past and their West Coast team traveling to the East Coast to play one game.
Not always the easiest thing to do, and they didn't look all that great.
I mean, I know they just acquired Davian Clowney so good for them.
They're gonna have ah, solid, you know, presence in the middle.
Um, but they no longer have that League of Doom or Legend of Boomer, Black Panther or whatever the hell they got going on in the middle.
So I do think that the Steelers have a bounceback week against Seattle.
Um, four points, if that's what the line opened that I don't know.
I don't know. What I'd take is a betting man there.
I wouldn't bet on the Steelers.
Honestly, you put too much emotion into your home team.
You should probably never bet on your home team unless you're just in it for, like, the beer drinking and fun having because you bet on your home team you're putting too much emotion into it.
I probably would have honestly took him the steep taken.
I would have taken the Steelers in Week one against the Patriot Way so that I could reduce the spread for the Patriots minus 29 still won that game.
I've really gone 800 bucks.
We got our asses kicked by the Patriots Week one.
Um, what else we're gonna talk about? I think that we see Hopefully, hopefully we see.
Um, Mr Mohawk saying took in.
We're gonna keep saying, took in. That's gonna be our thing.
My big my big What I keep saying during the broadcast of the game, I kept saying Big Ben uncorks it.
I had to say it.
I had to say he uncorked because, honestly, every single play that this Steelers ran was either a drop off the Ryan Switzer who I hate.
I don't think Ryan Switzer's any good.
We got to get rid of that clown.
Um, or it was like a run that didn't go anywhere.
We just all of a sudden camera on the ball of James Connor.
What the hell are we doing? Like Why? Why don't we Why don't we line up an I formation and run the ball like a normal football team? Look, I'm trying not to swear here.
Okay, but like what? Hold on.
I need a sip of beer. I have to piss so bad, too.
But I don't want to stop the stream.
Um, I might stop the stream.
Honestly, Thio, what are we doing? Trying to run the ball.
We got a great offensive line.
We have a pro offensive running back and All Pro.
Not Oprah, but a Pro Bowl offensive running up.
Yeah, on offense. Running back is compared to a defense.
