Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
And welcome to the one and the Onley Run boy's fantasy network.
First off, I just wanna encourage everybody right now really quick at the beginning of this concept.
Go ahead right now on our YouTube channel and go click that subscribe.
But also make sure that we spike that like as well, let's run up that YouTube algorithm and dive off into the live track.
You guys have any questions? Me and my special guest today are going to have a special guest.
And I are going to have plenty of answers for you guys today.
Um, this is business and bruised our offseason podcast.
Wherever where we explore the ins and outs of different jobs in the sports industry and different things that are out there in the sports industry that you guys were ableto look at, you know, set your goals that put them on your dream or whatever the case may be.
Today I am joined by today we are talking about a brand new app that is first off gonna be game changing the way that that a lot of you guys as ****ysts deliver your content on.
But it's also going all the way that you engage with with your fan base is literally game changing the rub, boys.
We always like to be one of the first, uh, to bring you guys specials like this.
So no, this is no other than the app called Sports Sports Me, ladies and gentlemen and I am joined by the co founder of Sports Me.
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Jeff.
What is good, brother? Yo, we're talking my guy.
Thanks for having me on the show of being here.
Hey, no worries, man.
We had we had to get you on you and I.
We've been talking for about the last 2 to 3 weeks.
Um, you know, kind of kind of what we're working behind the scenes.
And then finally we like you know what? Let's go ahead and get the run boys family on here.
Let's get him on to the sports me at and and kind of bring it, bring it to the world.
So that's what we're here to discuss.
Um, first, if you will kind of just want to give a run down of sports.
Me, I I've already started functioning within and operating with it.
But I mean coming from the co founders where it's gonna be a lot better.
I mean, so take sports Me is essentially, think like tick tock meat.
ESPN is around the horn.
People can come in, they can create.
Or they can join any topic we call them battles.
Just really a fun topic word.
Some are crazy debates, and trust me, you and I know that there could be some crazy debates, but it's also questions its answers.
It's just talking.
It's fantasy advice.
It's just like shooting this ****.
It's just whatever.
You, whatever you, you know whenever you want to talk about, literally could be ****yzing a game.
And it's all 30 seconds or less.
You could reply as many times as you want.
The dope thing is, everyone kind of gives you points.
So it's democratization of crowdsourced feedback.
But it's fun. It's game of hide.
Um, you know, there's like not you know, and there's a few things that I can't get into which which you which you know online.
We have some really fun things coming.
But really, it's about empowering, um, creators and podcasters than 99% who we believe just have no support.
They have no love.
Um, no one's helping them and they literally get 99% get less than 1% of the revenue, get 1% of the distribution.
And so here we are, very soon in the next couple of months who are about to change that.
And now it's really just building up the the community, adult community and obviously run boys are now being part of that.
I love it, mixing it, mixing it with everyone, Um, and really right now, which just instant collaboration, which is hard Collaboration is hard.
You hop in, someone will join your battle within seconds, and it's gonna be another dope creator.
So exactly Exactly what I love is that is that is definitely pushing the envelope on.
It's kind of honestly teaching and training, especially the younger creator and essence of how to actually develop a sports take.
We have a a show that that we do here called Runways after Dark, where I invite it's all the industries, you know, leading guys, and we crack open a couple of a couple of brewskis way talk sports.
You know, the bars posting quarantine.
We're like, we need to keep talking about sports and get away.
Get away from our wives.
How did we do it? You know, the females are coming on there like we need to get away from my husband.
How did we do it and run boys after darkness, How everybody does it.
And on that show, a lot of times craters, You know, a tape that should be summarized in probably two minutes, you know, or less go on for 345 minutes.
It's like, Whoa.
Like we just did a whole show off with something that, you know, everyone around the horn could have Women could have took five minutes.
So I completely love that that it z teaching is teaching.
And these guys are gonna swear they whenever they go on the bigger platforms, they know how to already, you know.
Oh, I already dropped a Justin Jefferson tape on sports.
Me, You know, I can just now kind of, you know, recite that or, you know, maybe now I just add on to it.
So I also like it as a training tool for for the young ****yst.
Yeah, I mean to to your point, you know, sports me is not, um we don't take away from the creators creation of content for ah, podcast to YouTube and instagram.
This is, um uh it's another way to create dope content with other creators in no time at all that could be used for training.
It could be used just for fun.
That could be used as a way soon where it could be embed herbal into your other pieces of content and even even at some point where you can be on an instagram or Twitter or YouTube, you see a piece of content that you want to create a show about.
You can literally go right from there to support me and just drop it like it's hot.
Which is which is which is gonna be adult future coming.
Um, but really, to my to your point, right now, it's about community way, you know, since his business and bruise we for everyone listening.
Um, you know, we could go out and bring in millions of millions of followers.
Millions of millions of users and creators, um, thousands, hundreds of thousands millions. Whatever.
Um, there's obviously no small task is getting million people on it on nap, but But we think we have a lot of the formula to do that.
But why, right it's about we want to make sure that the value, um, for creators, for fans, for, um, for partners, but mostly creators, um, is exactly where we want it to be in terms of, like, this feedback loop.
Um, and we're still getting it right.
And so the community right now is built to kind of like figure it out, um, and begin that early process because 99% of companies build the other way they build, and then they add people on if they're like a social base platform, where were far more than just being social, Um and so we wanted to do it right.
We have some really cool advisers who could have done this sort of thing before Multibillion dollar huge companies that everyone knows about.
And they said mhm start the community and build off of that based on feedback based on what you see based on the data.
And so we looked at data every day, Um, and that's only going to get more robust.
But But what I love what I love is that bad advice that you that you just mentioned. Of course we can't.
We can't go into names or anything like that.
Um, but you know some of those guys, you know, I know as well that's one of things that really brought me into the fold.
Was no one's gonna toss money behind and give you that type of advi*****t without them already having been through the trenches themselves.
And those advisers have been through have have been through through the mud.
And I've seen them grow, grow their platforms and grow to where now their multi billion dollar companies, their their full functioning public public IPO's you could go and get them on on on on fidelity.
You know, like you can actually make full on start investing like like like stock in these companies, you know? And that's what I love Is that the slow buildup to you know, we look at you mentioned at the beginning tick tock.
And when you guys go on sports me, you know, you'll see you know who you're following and then at the top of the, you know, battles like it looks just like it, you know, and tic tac Years ago, nobody knew about it, you know? And it started off in the homes in the hands of the the young 13 year olds.
Then all of a sudden, you know, they there's men and women our age that are now audit.
And what I love about it is if you've already been using tic TAC, you're gonna easily be able to use sports me.
I mean, one of the one of the one of the big things for us.
Waas, I'm sure you you and you know everyone in the room boys family has seen.
There's a lot of attempts to, um, make sports social like, Why has there never course and and the thing that the problem has always existed? Twofold. One.
There's already a Facebook, an instagram, and almost every single one has been a Facebook for sports and instagram for sports say a something for sports.
But the problem is why go to another place when there's already something that has sports? And exactly and so for athletes, you know, athletes some athletes want want to create a platform where, um, they're audience can come and pay for content.
But you can get that content everywhere else for free.
Um and so what we really wanted to do, Robbie, as you know, is we just wanted to do a radically different approach.
So sports me definitely has, like, this essence of tick tock.
But when you goto it, the way that the battle thread works is a multiparty collaboration tool.
It just lets people from anywhere collaborate with anybody at any time and multiple people.
And it's asynchronous so it doesn't.
It doesn't have to be alive.
You don't have to say, Hey, let's do Ah, let's let's collab at five o'clock Eastern Standard time about the **** about his Brooklyn good or is bad.
But, like what if five o'clock doesn't work for me, and it only works for you.
Then we can't create content together.
And so, um, while it has an element of tick tock, it is, um, that is far beyond, and especially in terms of the collaboration aspect, you know, you're not having a have to stitch or duet someone you know in that scenario and also, you know, to go back.
Go back what you're saying.
The There's always been this thirst in the space of sports for for for us to be able to have a Z, independent ****ysts have the ability to break through.
Yeah, there are some.
Don't get me wrong.
I love my colleagues on NFL Network.
I love my colleagues on ESPN, but I'm also sick and tired of seeing y'all on.
And I worked with some of you and I and our future, some of them here on the rump with fans, networks and and they know this, you know, it's not, it's not.
It's not just regular slight, but it's like, Hey, I personally feel that I am better And I feel that there is this thirst in this need for for for a kind of kind of unfiltered content out there, you know, and that's kind of where you know are Brand comes, and that's where sports becomes a where it's like I wanna I wanna catch a couple hot sports takes when I have time to sit back at my work desk on my lunch break and watched a full episode.
Uh, ****ing first take.
I don't want to do that, you know, But let me go check out someone that's gonna be relatable, you know? Oh, let me go to see Yeah, let me go to sports me.
And now I'm engaged on one particular topic.
There's nothing more frustrating than when you turn on ESPN.
And you got Stephen a sitting there screaming about the Dallas Cowboys.
Just like I don't want to talk about the Cowboys right now.
It is obvious that your producers have ran out of ideas to write about.
So you're just gonna bring up LeBron and the Cowboys and you have a million views like hell.
I could do that, you know? But I like that that you can break down your topic. Like yesterday.
I did the Justin Jefferson thing. I did that perfectly.
To where it segued right into my podcast.
But I was doing sports me.
I used to give people a little bit of taste.
Yeah, and then from sports me, a couple of guys on sports me a couple of ****ysts over there.
They got involved in the battle.
Then they when we got into the on air chat, they were there, you know, they're like, this is just an extension So it's adding value.
Yeah, and and beyond.
Just an extension of other content hubs, like a YouTube, like a podcast.
And then there's, like, 50 places where you do a podcast, which itself is an issue, I think, uh, you know, Then there's instagram of none of those places.
Like, if you if you bring on if you bring on someone onto your show, right, um, your audience listens to you.
They love you guys.
They love everyone in the room. Boys, family.
They love all the other creators on sports.
Me, They love all the creators and ESPN, Um, the millions and millions of creators, right? For sports.
Um, but it's so closed.
Um, it's so closed off even on, like, clubhouse is so new.
And in this thriving, if you really think about it, I love what they've done.
Um, it's still it still is really only meant for, like a couple people to broadcast to everyone else what being what the content is.
But on sports me, it is super participative.
And so, while we you know, we will have to, like, close it off.
It's some point you can't have 100 people on the battle, but you can start a new battle and anybody can participate in.
So for a creator who has a YouTube show who has a podcast on Instagram following, you know that the question I ask is, Where does that audience get to talk to you about what you're talking about? And the answer there isn't.
There is only one answer.
Answer is nowhere.
It does not exist.
And I don't mean a text thread after like a YouTube show or like a podcast like an instagram, because that's not actually talking.
And engagement is.
What we think is if your creator in your audience can, um, be a part of your sports me life and your other content life.
And they can now take part with you like they can actually like.
You might have 10, 10 listeners, subscribers, 10 people listening right now who are like, **** like I wanna hop into that into that Justin Jefferson like, But why, You know, I get to listen to you, and I love it, but I don't get to join you.
And so now they can.
You can be a part of the show.
Yeah, and they can join you as many times as they want because it's you can reply as many times as you want it.
Super cool, cohesive, like a fluid conversation.
And in the end of the day, it's just it's just dope, short form, game ified content.
We have lots more Gamification and all the stuff that you know that's coming, Um, some really stealthy stuff which I'm really excited about, but, you know, and, you know, and then we could go into the betting and fantasy world, which is this whole other whole other opportunity for creators to our revenue through affiliate revenue and and distribution and in all that jazz.
But, you know, at the end of the day, um, you know, and you may we talked about the community.
You know, I have amazing co founders, and so I let them worry about.
I mean, I worry about revenue and I worry about, you know, ah, lot of the revenues and and and and and and partners always things.
But to me, the thing that I care most about is the community, you know, is the community, um, doing everything that we think people want to dio And in my mind, if we can continue to bring an amazing creators and their fans and partners and athletes and influencers and all of this thing.
Um, the community will be amazing.
People will have a fun time doing it, and at the same time, it'll add crazy value to all the other things that crater might be doing and their fans.
And if all those things work out like we think Sports Me is the next emerging platform that is just so different than anything else today, Um, and that's where my head is.
Is focused on creators focused on community, um, daily banners for all the all the all the creators, which are dope.
Everyone loves them, you know.
We just care what we truly we just care mawr than everyone else does.
Um, that's why we do it.
I mean, pain in the ass to do them, But I love doing them exactly.
It's such a pain, Let me tell you, like it's not easy to have banners made every single day in the schedule.
We now have hundreds, hundreds of creators, literally since we talked to, you know, first talk a couple weeks ago, Robbie.
It's like I now have, like, 30 40 more creators who gave us a logo.
And I'm like, how the hell we're gonna fit all of these in in one day every few days.
But we do it and it works.
And we have some more dope collaboration type stuff coming up with banners, which would be fun.
And we definitely want to test some stuff with run boys.
Which would be which would be fun.
By the way, everyone that is in the chat on our YouTube chat.
No, that you may be doing us on switch right now or either Facebook live wherever the case would be.
If you go to our YouTube channel on and you go into our description sector, there is a link for you guys to where you can join sports Me.
I am doing this exclusively on Lee for our rum boys audience.
Eventually, this will become invite on Lee, and you have kind of brought up the clubhouse aspect.
What things look like that I saw, I saw, I saw I saw the my little we have family visiting.
Oh, I'm just, like, freezing my ass off, but it's gotta love it gotta love it, But let's kind of, uh, talk a little bit about about about about that Jeff on how it is going to get a kind of have this business thing.
Like we said, it has kind of like that functionality that look of take talk.
But it's gonna have that in my only aspect to where it's gonna be exclusive for you guys as well.
Not just, you know, run, boys, but you guys will be able to have your own battles and, you know, and interact with your own communities senior fans face to face, which I love, especially if you've only been doing Spotify.
You is, um, regardless of whether there's an invite only coming or not, um, I will technically say, I will say that there will be, um, a pretty fun community.
We're gonna add some special guests to maybe a closed off version of sports me while it's growing, and we're building up really dope tech.
Um, and then maybe some people you recognize in this very small group of people of a couple 100 then a couple 1000.
So when the time comes and Robbie hits you up with an invite, I highly suggest you take part of that because he's gonna be a ride.
Um, but we'll see what happens the next and the next month or so.
What if Robbie hits you up? Probably respond exactly as you.
Definitely definitely respond.
I'm trying to think what else were able t to talk about things that we are able to put out there.
One of the things, too, is, um you know when when I think about, um, content like content has gotten so different.
Right? Um, I look at it in and to be honest, you know what the numbers are night literally for everyone listening.
99% of creators get less than 1% of the revenue or 1% of the distribution.
Uh, and so I'm wondering, in my mind, there's almost like, this really big thing that's missing from content and distribution and revenue.
And, um, And for me, it's like, why isn't short form content like a tic tac? Why isn't that a bigger part of this like portfolio of content that a creator does, right? Um, like instagram, they go on instagram and they you know, they do a post and they ask, You know, dude, I mean, you know this creators They asked for lights left and right.
Like, and we get way get d M.
We're the same account.
I won't say who it is. Literally.
Every single day says, Can you like my post? Can you like my post? It doesn't mean anything to you.
I know, but can you please like it? It helps us.
And I think, like, ****, like, how many? How many groups of people in the world need to, like, beg for visibility? Right.
And and I hate to use the word beg, but it's almost kind of like they're begging from visibility.
And it's like, Why is that the case when? Well, I mean, it is that I mean, I I've been there before, and I've been the I've been the young guy, um, you know, in the industry, young up and comer.
And I've had to ask, can, you know, check out our our episode, You know, can you tell me what you think? What you like and you know this like, and now I don't have to deal with that, but period.
So so in my mind, Um, a short piece of content that can help other pieces of content and make audiences.
Mawr engaged mawr loyal.
Um, and it's monetize herbal, and it's terrible.
And in my mind, even though it's not the core focus of a creator, it becomes the core focus of this, like feet.
This, like this loop of things that helped me become a I don't know, a better creators the word because But I'm gonna use better creator, um, to reach all these different goals that someone might have.
And so, you know, it'll be fun to see how these things work out.
Um, in distribution wise, you know, we have some cool partners lined up, and I'm excited to, you know, actually bring in creators into these sort of things.
You know, we just we think differently, and it'll be interesting to see how this goes, but we're excited about it.
I also want to state that I I highly respect the fact that, you know, for the moment that you guys guys brought brought me in, you know, it's it's constant communication is, uh, you guys don't know my philosophy coming come from my background. The tech industry.
If you don't like something, guys, don't worry.
Give it five minutes.
It's gonna change, you know? And that's what I love about about so far over the last 24 hours.
Everybody coming to me with, you know, feedback, you know? Hey, I wanna make sure you know, if I type the second I typed the letter r, I find run boys like, you know, they just come to me with little things like that.
I'm like, Alright, cool.
Like I can up channel this, and, you know, I can, you know, help, Help Jeff, you know, rearrange it. Prioritizes.
I could move this up onto the list. Okay.
You know, I know that you guys want filters.
Maybe we can wait a little while on filters.
Just get s CEO, you know, So, like, like, you know, everyone coming together in this sports ecosystem and this technology ecosystem where both, you know, sports and technology are meeting in a perfect a perfect marriage.
It's awesome that you guys are taking the time to Yeah, you were saying, um, spin.
Ask who are the run boys dot, dot, dot Spin, spin.
The run boys are the best.
**** sports media company to walk the face of the earth.
Okay, there's your answer.
Uh, shop has been We actually just signed him as our fantasy baseball creator.
Look out for some baseball.
Uh, battles coming coming from him.
I actually just got him on boarded.
We want to get We wanted to get our baseball guy on board the sports me before the start of the season.
So before opening day, there's been an uptick in baseball.
I will say over the last, like, two weeks or so, so yeah.
Hey, by the way, he is also a scrum.
Master Suso, if you guys need you could probably be It'd be in the next meeting with us, and you could help help you guys.
He, uh hey way we love we love tax.
So show what we can look about.
You see what happens exactly, But no.
I mean what I love that that that that that you guys do take the opinions of the creator into a council, Had the league, not many.
And another thing that I love by the way, guys, this at is on both apple and Andhra.
So I don't have to make some of you guys that that that feel left out.
Like like, you know, like, man, I could only watch you on apple like no, everyone is invited to the party now.
I mean, to be honest, I take we, you know, we we don't have a ton of resource is where young company where, you know, raising more money now so we can bring on amazing teammates.
And we have a lot of those people who are, um a lot of those people are already circled up, which is great.
Some people who we know really well across the board.
With minimal time.
And, baby, I spend a lot of time talking to creators, deeming with creators, you know, doing stuff like this.
And and I love it.
And I think it helps us.
You know, one of the things that's important to me is helping build up the right culture around sports me, um, and make it known that, like, at all costs, we we our creator and and I hate using the word user, but we are literally creator and user first, and everything else is second, Um, and it all starts at the top with, you know, me and my co founders and doing that while they're busy doing tech and whatever finances, you know, I'm on the ground line talking to everybody, and, um, it's it's hard to keep up with it.
It's like, really, really hard.
Um, but for sure, like that's the way we'll always be.
It doesn't matter now or when we have, You know, millions of people on the platform.
We're always going to be this way, and that's my promise to creators and users forever.
It sports me whatever change like that, but you know will change.
Of course, we literate will adapt and will always be creative first.
And that's how it has to be.
Yeah, on and I do.
And I do appreciate that.
Always believing at the runways, fans.
Now, if we are always very, um uh, customer centric first, you know, very, very user centric first, you know.
So you know, if anyone is having a tough time, you know, just creating an account for runways dot com.
You know, I take all those tech questions myself, you know? So for one thing, that I do want to say, guys, Um, yes, you can check out the sports me instagram, Please, If there's s so that that that Jeff and Derek are able to do the cool stuff that they're able to do at all the enhancements let me know.
And then I can also let them know to, you know, uh, you know, I like to try and help you guys out as much as possible on.
And I know I know that that that that that you guys are busy and you're you're you're constantly answering a lot of questions and I will say for everyone listening I know it was a crazy ask Hop on, sports me have fun.
Um, try not till, like, talk too much about it outside of sports me because, like, fight club treated like bike club, we're really trying to build the community, um, specific way.
And, you know, we're young.
We have a couple of bugs here, and there were changing them.
We're getting rid of them, but, um, we're trying not to have too many people beyond the platform.
And we already have a ton like, people come in the app and they drop battles and they don't know that hundreds of people a week a day or watching like they're watching, just like they watch a, uh like this.
They watching YouTube, they watch a podcast.
If it's video they watch on Instagram video and Instagram Live.
But I think it's kind of dope knowing that, like you're just talking and you don't have to worry about thinking people are watching me, you can just be authentic, right? Can just be yourself.
And you don't have to worry about editing and being the most curated, beautiful self you need to be, Um, if that's important to create.
Because that's kind of how Instagram has become is very like my most curate itself is what people post right now I need I need a filter on.
My face is chased Claypool like, Yeah, crazy stuff.
Yeah, and you know, and so that's my only crazy ask is up on sports me. Have fun with it.
Um, soon you'll need toe get an invite from Robbie, but but yeah, um, you know, talk about it too much, but have fun with it as much as you want. Exactly.
If you're walking through the office and you know somebody's like, Hey, what's that? You know, just kind of low.
Keep like Oh, you'll see.
You'll see that, uh, my co precinct.
You know, we know what is great.
You know what is great, though? One of things that we have to dio is one of the thing is interesting because this is business and business.
And Bruce is, um, content moderation, right? And so So it's an interesting conversation for us because, um, if you go onto a battle and some of the run boys and some others are really getting into it and I mean, like, I don't mean like politics where you literally hate each other and you're killing.
But I mean, like sports fans, they get into it right? And and and that's totally we love it. We love it.
And people spend a ton of time on sports me as much as any of the big platforms because which is why we're excited, because people they love to get into the content content.
Um, it is always changing.
People are always coming back into battles and rejoining, so you're always coming back, which is great, even for a short amount of time.
But for someone that doesn't want to get into a crazy debate.
Um, you know, we're trying to figure out how do we separate someone like that from other types of content? And And we have lots of ideas, and we will be much better at this.
And, you know, right now it's been it's been interesting way.
Don't take anything down like we've taken down like, two things just because it was, like, semi cross the line of, like, community standards fish, and we just kind of like we just made a decision.
Hey, we're taking this down because we're trying to build the community the right way.
Whether it was the right decision or wrong decision, like I don't get, we don't care.
It's trying a community up, And, um, all those people are even more active now than they were then.
So, like, you know, exactly, see, yeah, because they probably were like, all right, I can't do that.
Um, I love that you that you brought up, you know that there are some creators that are probably not going to want the battle aspect or not have the ability for someone to reply.
They're they're just going to drop their taking.
Just think that's my opinion in.
We're gonna leave it at that, I think.
Is that kind of, like, back in, like, high school P Or like, the p e teacher, like all the all the people that want to play competitive basketball on this side of the gym? All right, now, all of you, all that are probably not that good.
Go over on this side, you know, and I'm not I don't mean that that that like that, but, I mean, I like that The build that that's an enhancement.
That is something that is being looked at because there are two sides of the culture.
But going back to the battles.
Um, by the way, uh, GMM network, my homie, Bogard sports sports means the best thing since sliced bread.
And then right after the spin, give me Monday.
I love it. I love it.
You're probably gonna tune into YouTube one time.
We're just gonna brand we get like, we'll have, like, a bowel of going saying all sportsmen and were just like, Whoa.
Did you see that? It would just yell, give you money? It's just a thing.
It's a lingo uh, but I got a huge Okay, okay, let's see.
Uh, but yeah, I know what I wanted to mention on on the battle side of things.
So I come from the early nineties era, you know, and I'm a huge hip hop fan, and it's, you know, battling.
That was like a sport, like, you know, it's a that have that back and forth.
So I like that for the creator that understands that for the creator that that that has gotten frustrated watching first take or around the horn, all these other debate shows, they understand the battle concept.
And they're like, Oh, this is what I've been waiting for.
I've been waiting for the opportunity that I could prove that I'm better than than run boys Rob you.
Or I could prove that.
You know, I know more about baseball than than, you know, spin or, you know, Gucci, who's in the chat, you know, And the other guys on the app shot to be on the mic shot.
The Michael, uh, Mike and Mike, Uh, all those guys, you know, plug, real deal fantasy is over there.
I was shocked to see that I was like, How did the quantum get over in on this before me? And he never told me anything like, but I mean, no, like like so I I like that aspect because, you know, there, at the end of day, this is the sports industry.
There is a competitive bone in each and every single one of them.
Somehow, some way, some shape, form or fashion whether it's you just like to kick back and crack open a cold one and watch the game.
Yet the TV or you want to be that that that that that that opinionated soul that has their voice heard and you don't have to necessarily be a ****yst, you don't have to necessarily be a content creator.
Well, all of you guys out there that are there are all the guys and girls that are that.
You just like chill.
You just wanna talk sports you just wanna, you know, interact with with with with me, you've never got to interact with myself on camera.
You want to interact with our staff members or any of the other creators.
You're now able to do that.
You're now able to do it, and who knows you know it could be being while I'm the ****ysts on the after and I was supposed to be the know it all know everything.
But it could be you that because it supports me goes viral.
Well, you make an interesting point, too, because while people are competitive, you know, sports radio is historically super competitive.
If you have a 9 a.m.
slot in your the Boston guy and I have a nine AM slot, I'm another Boston guy in another station.
We hate each other, and we are fighting.
Um, and if you think about it realistically, and this is an issue, even though collaboration is amazing and collaboration is everything, if you're a sports content creator, you are essentially fighting for eyeballs and revenue and distribution and content with everyone, even your peers, your guests.
It doesn't matter.
Um, but people don't think about it because there is so much want for collaboration.
Like sometimes it happens.
And like I know a lot of, you know, a lot of the homies who are in sports me, um, on instagram like they shout each other out, and I know that it's so collaborative, but at the same time, It's so competitive.
And so what I love about sports me is it's an ecosystem where you come in in, the more people who join you, the more people who.
Yeah, yeah, E Robbie No.
No one can be perfect and win championships every year, but we owe you.
See, that's why you need a hop on sports meet.
Jeff is on sports.
You guys could grab a little bit.
I accept every battle.
Um, but no, But but for Riel, um, what I love most sports me is, um you can come in, create content with anyone or nobody, and you actively want more people to come and participate because that makes the content better.
It is in no way, shape or form.
It's competitive for like for points in our point system is going to change because now, now it's not what we wanted to be, and that's fine.
So I hope people know that, like, don't worry about the points like points give takes for points.
It doesn't matter that they don't actually mean anything, but people love them and they fight over them for sure.
Trust me, there's a lot of drama for sports.
Three points, which it fascinates me.
It truly fascinates me.
Um, but is the one place where it's not competitive literally is one place? Um, if you're an instagram model, if there's another instagram model, your competitors like your competitors.
You don't even know it.
And if you're LeBron James, if you're LeBron James and then there's Alex, Caruso and Horrell and A D and the role on Instagram, you're all competitors because this buffet of options that you have is all free and you're going to go to LeBron before you go to a D.
Before you go to Caruso before you go to Schroeder before you go to the coaches Instagram, that's competitive, right on sports me.
It's all kind of like this very weird, collaborative, different approach to content where that none of that matters, and that's kind of fun, knowing like it doesn't matter.
I could just be myself, and it doesn't mean I don't have to be better than anyone else because everyone is going to see it.
Everyone is going to participate or has the opportunity to participate.
More people obviously watch than participate, but so I love it is perfect like like I I can already picture sports me, like, five years down the line and like, like, like you know, But by that time, you know, the big personalities, that ESPN and stuff I've heard about it.
I get the opportunity, just yell back and Stephen A for once, like I'm with this like, I love this.
I say that as a joke, but like, you know, like, for real.
You know, I I enjoy this.
I'm sure that they're there.
A LeBron boys nation.
You now have an opportunity yell at me if there is anything that I've ever said over the course of three years of owning and running this business, Mazur's Kant's sports Me the at the at for for for what? And all in all from one.
But But, you know, as we're wrapping up, you know, honestly, it's like in five years I don't You know, at some point we're absolutely going to go beyond sports when the time is, I don't know.
Um, but really, um, I would same or in six months to a year, sports me is going to look so much different.
There will be so much noise around what we're doing and who were bringing in.
Who's involved from partners to investors to, um, people you might recognize.
We're on the app, um, which is cool.
And I'm excited, but I'm again.
I'm mostly excited.
For what? How it empowers, um, fans and creators to love what they do even Mawr and make it mawr Um, make it more open, making more diverse make it mawr mawr accessible and participative.
And, uh and that's really it, you know, and obviously have a ton of fun while you're doing it like personally.
Like I use it every day.
Someone dropped his little sports me battle.
Um, there's a battle glory shrubby.
You should join this.
Actually, some people who are listening to join this is who deserves a playoff spot Mawr, Kyrie or Zach Lavine.
And while we dio I've just been waiting because I want to drop in and just own some fools and, you know, just fun stuff like that, literally every topic that you could imagine that you were thinking to yourself like, Why doesn't I'm the Celtics family semi o j. L. A.
Is now averaging like 19 points a game.
Now that he's been playing a little bit Mawr like What does that mean? Like, does that mean he's gonna help us in the playoffs? Does he like another player that, like could have traded for? Everyone is going to say on sports B o semi older.
Like who the hell is that? They do nothing.
You serious? And I look at the stats and I say, Look at what he's doing And there's 50 battles that you could think of within this realm.
Whether it's me in Boston, Boston fans, Boston friends or or friend of me is who don't like Boston, because exactly I'm a Lakers fan.
So you so I'm gonna try it a little.
And, uh, yeah, you know, 17.
No big deal, so well, 16, but no.
A bubble accounts.
The bubble account 16.
5 is a great number.
The what? 17, But it is a great big A take off half a point a cc.
Now you guys are going to see See? See, Jeff and I go back and forth about about about about finals titles. Okay.
You want to look out for that for that sports we battle? Uh, Jeff, I greatly, greatly appreciate you joining us today.
Um, I'll probably be sending you.
Maybe not today, because I have a lot, a lot of work out.
I get done for the rest of the day, but I'll probably be sending you.
And, you know, with this week's feedback, love it.
Anything else that that you wanna let let let let the fans know about, You know, honestly, just hop in Sports me now because now is the time, um, start to build up that audience, start to build up that that influence you know, it Z I say those things with the caveat that it's like very different than what happens on other platforms.
You know, the one thing that's don't don't sports me is as we go, and this is kind of more like tick tock than other platforms.
If you Robbie, you have just as an example, say you had 30 followers on it.
Don't don't don't.
I'm just using this as an example.
Say you have 30 followers and I have 100 someone hops in our battle with a million followers, and then someone else hops in with one follower, right? When people go to consume that creators with a million followers and they see his battle because they follow him.
Um, they're going to see everyone else.
Is that battle? So not only is a participative, but it's visit.
It allows visibility for literally everyone together.
And then you have to imagine if there's a million people who see you and me and this other dude, then who has one follower? Are they gonna follow us? Do we become part of their role? You know, there were your roller Dex of creators, and that opportunity has never existed before.
And there might even be opportunities to buy some visibility.
But well, that's a whole other realm of secrecy.
Secrecy, which I can't talk about right now, but seriously helping towards me Battle battle me battle, Robbie Battle.
Everyone in the room boys family, you know? Sure.
Bring on Boston, and I will destroy all of you.
But no, dude, thank you so much for having me.
I love you know, you know the run, boys family.
