Let's get into who we are ready to interview today, Wage.
Gentlemen, our special guests.
Former NFL cornerback Eric Crocker.
What's going on? Crock.
So what's up? What's up, man? It feels like I haven't seen you in a couple of days.
We were in film session Monday and now here we are, here on the road, boys.
Fancy network. I appreciate you making time, brother.
Yeah, you know any.
I always tell people, man, anytime I have a chance to, you know, talk about football or, you know, whatever.
I'm always for it.
So always have time for that? Absolutely.
By the way, you guys have not checked out Eric Sweater.
Eric, underscore Crocker's where you could find him.
Uh, is what weekly? That you're you're doing the film sessions.
How the film sessions Working out, man.
I don't know. You know, it kind of jumped off.
I did it a little bit last year around draft time.
Um, this time how I kinda I started it like I've only done two.
But the first one was Jamaar Chase.
And that started because, like so many people is like Oh, no, like he's untouchable.
He's the greatest ever.
And I'm like, No, this dude has some big time flaws that kind of worried me like, and I tried to show a perspective of a guy as a prospect and not so much of Oh, this is just him, you know, in college.
And, you know, I was like, what? Really is he so I was like, man, like, I had hell of people in my comments.
or a bunch of the quote retweets and people telling me how wrong I was stupid.
So I was like, You know what? Well, let's watch this together.
So I was, uh, tonight a I was like, Who's trying to get up? Who's trying to get on on Zoom? I'm trying to get, you know, and we're gonna watch this together so y'all can really see what I'm talking about.
So we got on June.
It did not help that.
And there are a lot of people that were like, man, and that was dope.
I really like that.
Like, can we do somebody else so that I'm like, all right, we all want to see so there, like, so tame.
So I hopped on that I haven't had it like a I don't think I don't really have, like, a set like day or how many times a week or whatever.
But I think if I If I see, you know, maybe something on my timeline, people kind of going back and forth about the prospect or what not and you know, or just telling me about how wrong I am or right, whatever, Maybe I'll you know, I'll just hop on a zoom so everybody can Absolutely, absolutely I I appreciate that.
Those sessions as ****ysts, I I only made the one that this week, and I look forward, forward, forward to the next one. Whatever.
Whatever you do, it actually have your notifications turned on because of that now, eh? So I get all of your sweets now because it helps it out.
Helps us out as ****yst.
Because now we're seeing the game from an actual player.
You're not gonna be able to get that privilege from something that's performed performed at the game.
Inform the task at multiple levels, Um, let alone at the highest level.
So would you be able to get your insight? And then it's like, Okay.
Like he's seeing some of the things that that that I see or even you allowed me the ability to in that that session where I was like, No, don't you think, you know, maybe on this route, you know, certain should have maybe playing a little bit closer got, you know, hip to hip with the receiver, and then, you know, you allowed me that they have that conversation.
So is beautiful.
All the other players out there, veterans and current.
Just know that Crocker did it first.
Alright film sessions and trying to get exclusive.
I'll start trying to put price tags out there.
99. You could join my film session over on Twitter over on YouTube.
Just know the Crocker did it first over on Twitter.
Your e tried to do bring a perspective of, like, just the why what I'm saying because there are a lot of people.
I mean, we can rank people, and you and I could probably have the same.
Or or me and Joe Gilbert.
That's expanding my name. Joe Gilbert.
We can have the same exact rankings.
Um, you know of our top 10 prospects or five prospects, right? But my thing I try to bring is, like the why, like why exactly? And then really be able to kind of break down and really show you exactly what it is and not just in a small sample size.
I mean, like from a large sample size like us sitting down for an hour and some change watching certain like that's that's a larger sample size of like what it is.
And really why I got into It was, you know, there were a lot of people.
They were post Ah, highlight.
Like they would pose one highlight highlight, you know, and then be like, Oh, this is who this person is.
It was like, Man, what the hell? That's not who is man s.
So I try to just bring that that type of perspective to just kind of bring more perspective to to a prospect so people could see all angles of it instead of just going off of maybe something that's more ****ytically driven.
Or and I don't have anything against ****ytics like, I probably need to get more into it.
But I think sometimes people let the ****ytics drive their argument on why somebody can or can't do something.
I think a lot of times that leaves out a lot of context.
It's fascinating that you brought that up because because another gentleman, uh, way all known Steve Smith Sr.
I had gotten a pleasure to meet him, and I asked him advice.
You know, I was like, I can ask you advice on playing football all day.
You know, that's not what I'm doing? I'm gonna ****yst now not ask him.
I was like, You know, brother, what's what's your what's your advice? Uh, you know, in terms of me, me being a better ****yst.
He said exactly what you just say.
Don't always let the ****ytics tell the story.
You know, if I tell you, you know Josh Norman, He whenever he's on the field, you know, he's thrown to under 56% of the time, you know? Well, that that yeah, they let you know.
You know, Yeah, if they're not going with him.
But why are they not going to? That's when you go over and watch the film, just like okay is because you know how how he's lined up against receiver, how he's getting hands on a receiver, you know, So go for you know, So it took me a minute to understand.
And even in the film session, you have you have you have brought me back and you have correctly Monday night and you were like, I get that I get that.
That certainly doesn't have the interceptions, you know.
But, you know, let's look at this.
And then you played a clip and I was like, Okay, I understand 100% where you're coming from.
So I appreciate that.
And I like what you see the game from From their perspective, let's go in to.
So of course, everybody knows first really quick this comment here, I find it kind of funny.
Crop definitely knows the ****.
Madden player to I guess you've been out there online.
Giving it is given.
It's a fool's, huh? I haven't had as much time to play like a whole lot online.
They're worth the time where I would, you know, I would tweet out, like, who wants to play? And we will put it up on.
I would do the twitch so all my followers and stuff can watch.
And, you know, I'd be some people, but I'm in a man league, so I play that, uh, we have a game every night.
What I'm saying, so, yeah, I'm not love, madam.
You know, I'll probably play that till I die.
So there he goes.
Hey, Kev, if you if you need a rematch, I know Crockett's beats you before, but you need to re match, you know? Hey, hit him up on the Twitter or something.
You know, I wanted to get into your time, your time with the Jets.
Just kind of kind of kind of how things elevated.
So of course you came into you came into the league undrafted.
I believe it was in 2013 e wanna say 2012? Uh, 2013.
I apologize. I apologize.
You have you had Wait, wait, wait.
Wait. To play with the talent. I apologize.
Yeah, Um, how Let's first go through drafting and what those emotions were.
What was your thought process? Did you know that that that you were gonna have to go out there and and fight for a slot? I mean, what was going through your mind? So my my situation was unique, so there was no, like draft night for me.
So the way the way my whole thing went, I went to a small school.
I went to a division two school in Arkansas.
E was all conference, But I ain't put up like, you know, these crazy numbers or anything like that.
So, um, what I was being advised to do was okay after the season, you know, you'll have to go to one of these local combines or, you know, stuff like that.
I'm like, man, I you know, I go to come on like I'm not going around like a 44 e Wasn't that type of guys, you know, a bigger corner.
But I knew I wouldn't know Blazer anything like that.
So someone had reached out to me and gave me the opportunity to play arena football.
So I said Should get paid to play after college.
I haven't under the ballerina.
I saw it when I was a kid on TV, but I don't really know much about it.
And next thing I know, this was the highest level of arena football, so I just jumped on it.
So as soon as my senior year ended on the football field, I went back to California and I just started working out and training with some guys that played in that league and trying to get acclimated to a totally different game on from there, like nothing was guaranteed to me like not even a spot on the team or anything like And when I got there, I understood why. Because I'm like ****.
He played the NFL.
He play in the NFL, He playing NFL.
You know, this big college? He was a big college and there's me, like Arkansas Monticello, like you got a ball out and then I had, like, I didn't even really have, like, thoughts or dreams of playing in the NFL like, No, I mean everybody has dreams of playing in the NFL, but like being realistic about it.
I was like, Man like, I don't know, you know, But I have some dudes on the team tell me like a crock, like there was a corner.
He was actually with Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he was like Crop, like, you can play at the next level.
But I promise you both They're not tighter than you like that.
I'm like what, like, you know, like, you know, I don't know. Nobody ever told me that.
So So I end up playing the whole year I started every single game as a rookie, which was amazing.
Way had the best record in the league.
We went 14 and four, but 18 games in the Reading football league here we went 14 and four after the year.
If you want to go ahead and run that stat line, you know you wanna you wanna go in and flex on these boys in the challenge, You let him know how much of a dog you was that year in 20.
You know, crazy.
It wasn't even my best year as in the Arena Football League player.
Like I had three interceptions.
I had, like, 70 something tackle or something like that.
Like I played Well, I think for the NFL, guys, it was more so about, like, Okay, he has the length, you know, six to long arms.
He's athletic, like, you know, maybe we give him a shot.
Right? So first it was.
So I the way it all happened was played.
I'd say, Halfway through the year, one of my guys, Jerry Brown, he passed away.
Hey, was on my team, though.
JB passed away in the in a car accident to 2012.
Hey, with the Dallas Cowboys at the time and it flipped over.
If you guys remember, uh, the teammate left him in the car.
Don't know if you guys remember that, but that all happened 2012.
Well, J b, he was my teammates.
So first he went to the Colts.
He left like middle of the year.
And then it hit me. He was like a crock.
The Colts like they I still have those messages to from Facebook, and he's like a crock they asked about, You know what I'm saying? So, you know, just keep doing whatever you're doing.
Just know, like, you know, there are people that are kind of paying attention to what you're doing.
So I'm, like, Cool, whatever.
So So the season ended.
I didn't have a lot of looks from I didn't have no looks from CFL or NFL.
Really? I go home.
I actually go to a ufl try out.
I don't know if you remember the u F l E, Yeah, short stint, but they're making, like, 5000 week.
I'm like with that.
So I went to the tryout.
I didn't make it because I ain't had an NFL tag next to my name.
They liked me all the weapon to the point where they really got to know me that hey, don't got NFL.
Everybody they kept have played, like, been whether many came up or whatever.
They had NFL tag next to their name, but the agent that was there and he was like a a crock.
Like, you know, I wash this year. I think you a baller. Woo.
Let me represent you.
I'm like, Oh, agent.
Okay, let me get this agent s o.
I put together a little highlight tape and whatnot.
I give him, I give it to him whatever I sign with him.
And I'm telling my art Like, can you send these two CFL teams, like maybe you CFL team? I like what I'm doing.
You gotta You gotta crawl before you walk.
Like what I'm saying? I'm like, now I just crawl like I did playing the real legal like I started every game.
Like, what are you talking about? Like I didn't think that tackles like, Come on.
So he wasn't really talking about nothing.
So, you know, a month goes by, He's telling me like, Oh, this arena team wants to sign you.
This team, this team, this team, all these arena team want to sign me But I'm like or like, I can do that on my own.
Like I could do that on my own.
Like Like, like, get me to the CFL Eso one of my homeboys Devin made he actually played with hey, played with Houston.
Hey. Went to college at University of Houston.
He had an agent that kept getting him CFL workout.
So who's your Because this dude I mentioned with for me, So I end up getting in contact with his agent.
His agent was like, Oh, you know, somebody told me you would be calling, like, you know, I can see your film.
So I sent him to film, and it was almost like he was taking the call just because, like, you know, somebody told me to look at it like, you know, I'm a solid out look at it. Whatever.
So he looked at it and I could hear him, like, Okay, he's watching while I'm on the phone, like, Okay, I think I think we might got some here like I'm gonna call you back.
So I am here for two weeks.
What were your pro day numbers? And I was like, man I ain't doing pro day.
I was joining straight to the A f l.
He was like, Okay, I'm hit you back then.
I didn't hear from him before.
Another two weeks Kiss me back A B C lines.
They wanna fly you into any workout you wanna go to.
So I'm, like, Cool.
Yeah, we're working.
He was like, Yeah, man, like, But you got to sign with me.
I'm, like, done deal. Like, Done.
So So I fired my agent, which was the hardest thing for me because I'm such a nice guy.
Like, I don't know if you ever had to fire somebody, but it's tough.
It's tough to tell somebody like a I didn't ****ing with, you know, more like that.
That's your heart s o.
I was actually fired.
Agent and I signed with him, and I kid you not man.
Like, as soon as I sign when he was all right, it's gonna work.
So many facts in the paperwork over, man.
Dude, like, I can't make this up, bro.
Like I'd say, within two hours, three hours it was about eight NFL teams that hit him up way Wanna You know, we wanna bring cracking for a workout.
So, uh, most of them, most of them were like, you know, it's kind of hard to see exactly how he moves and stuff like that.
We want to see those things.
So can you, uh can you have him make a workout video? So I made a workout video and all the stuff on YouTube, so you can kind of like everything I'm saying, Like, you could see my my highlight from 2012, and then you'll see the little workout video of me just working out.
Um, And then, uh, that that got me, like, two days later, the New Orleans Saints.
It was like, Hey, we wanna fly him in tomorrow for a workout.
Granted, I want to know shape or anything to work out.
I've been working at Macy's for $7 an hour in San Antonio, Texas, and they flew me in.
Well, my 40 was terrible.
Matter of fact, they flew me in during the Super Bowl week of the 40 Niners verse ST 49 verse.
Ravens thought this was in New Orleans.
So when I was there, me being a big 40 Niners fan, if you'll follow me.
And I'm in there eating lunch with horrible and all these guys.
I'm not eating with them.
I'm just e Captain Crabtree.
Like what I'm saying, Like I'm like, Oh, they all here.
But I have my work out.
And I did well, I killed the drills.
I killed the ball drills.
Um, it was one other person this guy named, uh, Chad.
He was He was at L s u safety.
He had got drafted to the Yeah, I got drafted to the Giants, got back to the Giants and got in an accident and tourist leg up in the end of his football career.
But he actually this was his first work out in front of any NFL scouts and stuff.
So it was me and him.
I could look better than him.
I killed the drills and everything.
By random 47 They're like, No, we can't do that. Can't do that. 47.
But you're like what we will bring in the rookie minicamp.
So to me, remember, division to guy and I don't even tell you stuff even before to get to a D to like I was out for three years, like, you know, went to junior college without three years working on yeah, doing all kinds of crazy stuff, then went back to junior college after three years of being out.
And that's how I got a scholarship.
But so, you know, going through all that, then all of a sudden you got a rookie minicamp invite.
I'm like, hell, yeah, I made it right.
So I think I made it like so.
So I I fly, they fly me back Thio to San Antonio.
As soon as I land the **** Philadelphia Eagles, they call my agent.
Hey, we wanna bring Crock in tow for work out next week.
My agent was, like, done right.
So my cry my agent hits me crop they you in, But you gotta You gotta work on your 40.
So fly home, get whoever you gotta get with, flew home and and I trained with this trainer, Uh, just on my 40 yard dash just on my start, we worked out a total of three hours over three days, a total of three hours and just on my start, flew to Philadelphia, ran a four or 53 So greatly improved, Uh, like, greatly improved, Right? But I was still out of shape.
I was in, like, good shape like that.
Like it took a while to get into some shape.
And I was just me.
It was hella code, like So I am in this one chip Kelly.
And my adrenaline was because, I mean, they had, like, 70 dudes from their front office.
And it's just you working out if you backpedal, break shuffle, doing all these different things.
They're trying to test your movement skills, E.
I mean, my chest hurting them like dams cold.
I'm trying not to show it like I'm about to die, and that's what it feels like.
They you too out of shape.
So I get back and boom Jets car.
And it wasn't just the Jets.
It was like the Jets, the coats, the Packers and a few other teams were like they stacked up the workouts back to back to back to back.
My agent was like, Look, you got two weeks to get ready for this Jets workout.
They wanna flying one right after the combine.
Go home, get in shape, working there for you.
Whatever you gotta do, Get ready.
So that's why I went home. Got ready.
Trained, uh, did all that went to the flu in And that's a whole other story.
I was supposed to fly like I was on probation.
I really wasn't posting.
E was supposed to leave the county of San Antonio this whole time.
Judge the judge let me fly out.
My probation officer was pierced.
Yeah, I've been there.
Yeah, there's a whole another story.
But I was able to fly out and and by the grace of God, man like they saw me.
And that's a whole another story.
I keep saying another story, but I have my workout.
It was Tim McDonald.
He's a DB coach had DB coach Dennis Thurman.
He's the defensive coordinator there.
And then it was Brian Smith who's now the deepest coordinator at Rice University.
So but he was like the assistant d B coach there.
So they put me through a workout and I remember and I remember there was the coach.
Dennis Thurman was like a man like, you know, you need to go get in shape.
You know what I'm saying? I was like Yeah, man, but, like, I'm not done because he was like, Man, we don't seen enough.
We've seen enough.
I'm like, No, you don't get enough, like, let me do more.
He was like, No, What? You need to get in shape and work on them little ass calves, like, remember, specifically, right? I'm like, man, maybe he likes because he joked with me, But I went back to my direct dress.
We went to go eat, and they have, like, a five star little restaurant on the on the, uh, one guy was like, Oh, yeah, I'm going to get my physical.
They've been assigned me and I'm like, what? They're gonna sign you like them? And then somebody came over.
I was like, Then once you guys get your physical to when the guy was what was, like manage my third time doing this with the program like sometimes they just want to get your physical just in case they want to bring you back.
So I get my physical.
I'm halfway through the physical, right.
This takes like 34 hours or whatever.
I'm halfway through the physical, and my agent hits me.
Was like, don't fail the physical a za long as you pass, They've been assigned you and I had a bad shoulder.
I have some other stuff, but I don't let that stop me, man.
And yeah, man, they ended up signing me so that that was how I got there.
That was how I got to Thio.
You know, I told the whole story and all that, but that's how I got to the league.
And then from there, man, my time.
It was great, man.
Like, you know, I got there in, uh, at the start of offseason O T A s, uh I was there.
I was able thio, you know, be under some really good guys, you know, learn from Antonio Cromartie the most.
Hey was very hands on with helping.
Ah, lot of people talk about, like, developing, like, you know, young guys developing and stuff like that.
To me, the biggest part development comes from more so the veterans than it is your actual coaches.
Like, unless you're just like a guy guy.
Like when the military finally showed up to practice and arriving like God, I just hold out they were really hands on with him, But for the most part, Um, and it really they just trust you in coaches.
Jobs, for the most part, is to get you ready to be on the field, like physically.
Those things that you, you know, maybe have to stay after practice, work on something with, you know, Antonio Cromartie.
Maybe, uh, you know, another player or whatever.
Your your offseason trainers, you know, like, really, like physically.
Like when people Oh, he'll develop this at the next level.
You probably want if you're not working on the stuff in the off season, so or have a veteran that really pulled into the side to really help him.
But it was cool, man.
I got to learn from some guys.
Revis was there for a little bit before he got traded.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Hey, held out for a while.
Then he finally showed up.
He was there for, like, two weeks.
Then he got traded.
Greatest cause I've ever been around.
Hey, was awesome.
What was that like? Yeah, like, Dude was, you know, he changed the way I look at coaches, you know, like he was.
He was a combination of both.
Like a lot of times people think, you know, you're even a players coach or, uh or you're in excess.
And those guy, well, he was both.
He was amazing with excess and those, you know, his dad creating an entire defense with the bear, the bear defense or whatever.
His dad created a whole defense.
He understood that stuff inside and out.
But he was able to relate and tell stories.
He was a great teacher.
He was able to tell stories within how he was teaching plays, and it was something I had never seen before.
It was, It was it was really cool, really cool to see Master motivator.
I thought, uh, I got the highest respect for Coach Rex Ryan and I think he's he had best coach I've ever been around.
So So, yeah, I mean, you know, and then, obviously, there's the business side of things.
Like when I finally did get released, it was Joe McKnight, RP, Joe McKnight.
Joe McKnight had a concussion, Brian Winters had an ankle injury and Chris Ivory had an ankle injury, and we have a lot of depth at the cornerback position So I was like, Oh, well, we can cut, crock and sign.
You know, guys thio that spot, you know, because you can't put them on IR or they missed the rest of the season or whatever.
Or you can't, um, cut them right.
So I was like, Well, let's cut where we have more depth and we'll be able to add somebody to have position to get us through this game So that was how I got released.
But it was, You know, once you get there, you really understand more so of how much everything is a business.
I last as long as I did, because there's guys getting cut left and right everyday or they're bringing in guys from workouts, like twice a week or whatever.
Once or twice a week on.
Do you always got to hell on this? Will you understand? Like, any day it could be me.
So, uh, I think a lot of times when guys get released, I don't think there's too many surprises.
You kind of understand, like the business of it and kind of the odds of it happening.
But it was dope, man, like it was dope it was.
It was It was an amazing experience.
Yeah, I find it.
I find it so fascinating.
Um, you know, especially no in in the in the independent journalism world, where you know a lot lot, lot of guys who will go on Twitter like, man, I can't believe, you know, this player was released, you know? Or, you know, I had high hopes on this college prospect, and they did, and they went undrafted, you know, and be I've sent back, like, been in It's, you know, a couple of years I'm like, Well, and I haven't met guys and no, no.
Now, especially hearing your stories like it Z NFL's a meat grinder.
It's gonna Europe is going to spit you out.
You know, in the human body can Onley take so much trauma.
And you gotta think you're playing this sport since Pop Warner, you know, all the way up into the big leagues, you know? So So it yeah, not not everyone is able making everyone all has has the same aspirations.
One of things I want I want I want to touch on was life after after football.
So? So First question, I have asked if the way the Rock Johnson calls you right now and says, Hey, you want to sign with you know, the D C defenders or you know you want to come with the battle hawks on playing XFL? Would you do it? No, But But if he asked me Thio if he asked me to come on as a you know, a scout or something, or like a general manager or something like that, I do that.
But playing my playing days Hey, chill my playing days.
Like, uh, I'm just not as fast Or, you know, like his old saying once you once you once you stop using it, you lose it or whatever, you lose it.
Well, that's how Yeah, I stop you really using my speed And that has really greatly diminished.
Like all my athleticism Now, I mean, I'm I'm athletic enough to where? Like you know, we hope that 24 hour fitness you you would you could tell I'm athletic or whatever I could see.
Oh, but as far as being able to, like, compete with all these young cats on the field and really being able to mirror match them and stuff? No, not no more.
And I'm 33 years old, which is in the non football world.
That's still young.
Yeah, football world.
You know, they look at Richard Sherman, who is a year younger than me.
They look at him and I was like, E.
I mean, of course not from a football standpoint, but the United States Air Force sort of calling right now.
Hey, we need you for another deployment. Like I'm sorry.
I can't run like e eso.
What are you up to right now? I know that that you have the Crocker report.
Uh, you have, uh, right rise athletics in my correct.
Uh, then you also we talked backstage before the show.
You've been doing some features out here in Denver, on on on a radio show.
So what has life been like Post leak? Yeah, so I mean, you know, after the after your playing days are over.
You know, after even after the jets, I went back to the Arena League e very well, and I actually stopped playing on my own terms.
I was, like, 28 years old.

I told you we would have it thinks let's jump And these things can occur in the field whenever you're running a live podcast But we always overcome what's gonna crock? Thank you for coming back, brother.
Yeah, I have a hard wire.
For that reason, they cut out.
But I was like I was still connected to the Internet, but it wouldn't let me connect ST Mark.
We have to overcome eso where we're saying, Oh, your business ventures.
Now you mentioned that you were on coaching seven.
You're doing seven on seven.
Yeah, so that that's where I got into everything, But But from there, I kind of transition is training athletes and and doing that whole development thing and and like, kind of learning that I could be more than just an athlete.
And my thing was, I really wanted to help kids that come from, you know, where you come from, similar backgrounds meet or, you know, I had to fight universities.
But, you know, if there were a way that I could help kids not make a lot of the same mistakes that I made, I wanted to do so.
So, uh, yeah, I got into training athletes, coaching athletes, anything that really involved kids aan den from there.
I did that for about four or five years, and then I moved toe Arkansas from.
So I moved from California, Stockton, California, the Arkansas to finish game.
My degree where I went to college and from their mouth just started kind of training athletes here.
And one thing led to another.
I created a business plan a few years back to Thio.
You know, one day have my own training facility, and, uh, this was like, you know, I guess everything happens for a reason.
God just kind of puts you in places where he feels, like, you know, are best for you.
And, uh, it was like everything just kind of went my way, man.
The ball started rolling with my business ventures with that, and I got into training athletes and doing something that I'm really passionate about.
And there's a lot of different things I want to do with that.
But finally got that up and going after years of kind of sitting on the plan s So I do that and then obviously you guys we're seeing, you know, Crocker report.
That was one thing where, you know, I'm really passionate about, you know, watching film, uh, you know, breaking down prospects and everything like that.
And, you know, nobody was paying me to do it.
You know, nobody We'll pay you, you know, to write for a site or, you know, break down these prospects or anything like that.
So I mean, forget it.
I'm just gonna make my own.
Yeah, just creating my own man.
And we're really you know, right now is kind of the peak of our draft season.
Where is not not the heat, it's the start of it.
So we're just now getting into it.
We create the crop report podcast.
So I have a lot of great guys that are involved in that.
You know my guy John Hagler.
We have some guys that are really hands on with all that So make sure you guys, uh, check it to the Crocker report.
They just had a podcast about the Senior Bowl.
We got, uh, credential for the Senior Bowl, and I'm man.
It was like, Dang, I got credentials As a member of the media, I can actually be there.
But I can't because I, you know, started my business and everything.
So, you know, I have Thio be here with my, you know, to train my athletes so I can't take that time off, but, um, yeah, man, it's like everything is really, uh, working out.
You know, kind of how I envisioned it, envisioned it going, you know, more times than not that that's not usually the case, But I've been really patient and, uh, you know, always stay 10 toes down with whatever I did and everything is not really paying off.
Yeah, um, you know, it's this is my off season as well, You know, we're just doing scouting reports over here.
You know, you'll never need an extra guest for a pot.
You know, I could come on and discussing prospects and rankings.
You know what it is just saying, brother.
Just saying, um, no I I respect that.
I like if you say so.
You know, you stay 10 tones, you stay 10 toes down to do it is a bet on yourself.
And of course, you know, whenever anyone kind of branches off into, like, their own business and branch office entrepreneur, you never know exactly how it's gonna turn out.
You kind of wake up one day like I want to start a business, and then you start doing the research on then all apprehensions kind of just fade away and they go away.
And just like, you know what? I'm all in.
And this is what I'm gonna do it.
This is how we're gonna do it.
Um, and then one day just kind of works out.
Things start clicking, just like whoa.
Like you gotta you gotta go all in That.
That was one thing I learned, you know, trained athletes for the last five years.
And it was like when I was doing that, I was working at the elementary school, and you can, you know, you can kind of get by about at that point if there's something really passionate about, but you're not really all in on it is just a hobby, you know, like to make it like a really legitimate, uh, you know, business venture of yours.
Like you have to go all in.
And you know, you can't even you can't go into it with with the thoughts of whatever I feel like.
You know, I'm saying you're already 1 ft out the door.
You know, you gotta go all in and just say, look, gonna figure this out as I go, But I know we're gonna make this work, because when you got your back to the wall, you got no school but to make it work.
And I've been in a lot of different cir***stances like that.
And every time I just told myself this what I'm gonna do, I did it, you know? S so that's one thing I've learned.
Like, if it's something you have it in your mind that that that that's what you wanna do, you have to go all in on it.
And if you don't? If you know it ain't is not gonna work out.
You have to be accessible.
You have thio, you know, put your time.
You gotta be wanting to reach out to people you gotta be willing to go on, You know, any by, you know, YouTube or you know what I'm saying? Like people s.
So you know, both of the things I do that kind of work together in a sense, you know, with my athletic training, uh, sports performance that I'm I'm starting out on what I'm really trying to build it into.
And then even my, uh, you know, my eye for, you know, uh, Thio for prospects and things like that, and they kind of coexist in the sense, and it's kind of it is really cool, Just kind of seeing the two things take off and you really, at the same time.
But the training is taking off a little faster, but, you know, because it just you know, the need of it in this area.
But obviously, everybody really loves hearing about prospects and talking about it, and and I have a really long term goal.
That's the thing to like, You know, the short term goals, there's long term goals and you have to figure out, you know, Okay.
What was that gonna look like? You know, a lot of people they want this instant success that is like, right now and more times than not.
That's not how it's gonna work.
You people have toe, you know, lay down the groundwork takes, um uh take some chances, uh, make a lot of sacrifices.
And and over time, there's there might even be some rough times.
There might be something that I'm not gonna pay this bill.
You'll figure it out. Right.
But there might be some tough times, but you're gonna have to go through that to get to where you want to get to and a song as you're able to, you know, keep your head down and do it And you know, and not punk out you know you're gonna be you're gonna be better off better off No, there's a There's a rapper by name of Russ and he says the song he said He said I took a lot of swings and says, This isn't the first at bat bat for me you know you got it You got to take take Got to step up to the plate and take those swings Sometimes you're gonna strike out and sometimes you're not, you know, But you're gonna You're gonna hit the pinnacle.
I want to get into T this weekend's games before Before you know I'll let you go.
Uh, we have, of course, on our Sunday slate.
Tampa Bay, Green Bay and Buffalo and Kansas City.
What is your thought process? First on on the Bucks Packers game, Man, I mean two great great great Hall of Fame amazing quarterbacks in Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers and those air.
Those guys are really brought up a lot in the conversation of who's the best quarterback of all time, right? And most people would say Tom Brady.
But I think when you look at like, kind of like, physically gifted and what he's done over an extended period of time and the level he's still playing, that there are guys that say, Yeah, Brady is the greatest ever because of his accomplishments.
But Aaron Rodgers is the most you know, maybe the more special quarterback that's done it at this high level for its consistent time over a career Ondas really amazing thing that we're seeing, you know, with him where he's like 38 years old and it looks like he's probably gonna be league M v p uh, his talent, his ability to make, you know, crazy throws.
The timing is everything.
I think he's amazing.
Definitely elevates a lot of his, uh, the players around him.
I mean, he's making our lives are, you know, a household name, right? Um, as far as the game goes, man, who I mean, it's tough to go against the Packers.
Uh, when you there's the eye test says that they're playing better football.
But at any moment, man, I mean, the bucks, they have guys over there, you know, the receiving corps.
You know, as long as the baby is healthy, you know, he's still able to play very well.
You got Mike Evans, who I think is, you know, borderline top five receiver in the league, probably doesn't get that respect, but, you know, it should be going over 1000 yards for what, 78 season straight.
If it weren't for that, that injury in the last game, Uh, you know, and then you have Ah, Godwin, who's playing at a very high level, is Well, uh, they have a lot of weapons.
I think defensively, they have a good night pass rush that secondary, they can play very well in spurts.
There's just a lot to like about them.
But, man, it just almost seems like, no matter how this game goes Aaron Rodgers and and and, uh, Davante Adams there almost e.
I don't know why, but the way they work off of that running in the way the floor has that whole thing cooking up, you know, he's a protege of college, Shanahan.
And they, you know, in the way that they like Thio, you know, everything that work off of there, run actions or they're running the ball.
So I think they're gonna consistency consistently, lean on that and then, obviously a wry he's just gonna make some special throws throughout the game.
And I think that's gonna be a different.
So if I had to kind of put my money on one team, I'm gonna go to packers.
Yeah, I agree with you.
That's kind of kind of the way that I've been going as well.
I've been telling everybody, Hey, you know, I think the Packers, they got this one, um, you know, a long as there is an Erin Jones and definitely as long as there's a Davante Adams um, Aaron Rodgers job is a significantly easier, and they're just playing playing **** good football right now, And it cannot be denied Onda next day that we're gonna break down, Of course.
The Buffalo Bills versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Vanilla Vick has to go up against my homes.
How are you feeling about this one? Yes, that's what it made for him. Yeah.
Who? You know, I like both teams.
Obviously, it's hard.
I just can't bet against the Chiefs.
Um, they just showed the play at a high level.
Uh, you know, a few years back, I said, Hey, man, like the Chiefs are the warriors of the NFL and people who took a lot of shots at me, right? And and I'm like, No, like not they're like, Well, the water's got championship.
Don't ever compare the chiefs to the Warriors like you got, like, the way they were building up.
Yeah, well, the way I meant it.
Waas and a sense of place style where there is no lead.
That's big enough, right? Like like they always can come back.
I had seen several times during this year, and this was there a F C championship round where they you know they lost in that because of the D for it offsides.
But, you know, it was just like watching how they play.
You know, the way that my homes plays and how he's able to just flip the ball around and throw the ball.
He does a lot of things that you probably want to teach your quarterback to do.
Remind me of Steph Curry.
Steph Curry takes shots and shoots, you know, with angles and does these things where you we wouldn't teach a kid that, you know, it's almost like you just gotta let this dude do him be him and ball out.
And that reminded me of my homes and just, you know, the big plays.
The explosive plays remind me of the Warriors.
You know, Erin out those threes with Thompson and just their play styles reminded me of each other.
And now you're seeing it at the highest level where, you know, at any moment they could just I mean, look what they did to my Niners in the Super Bowl.
49 held into 10 points, you know, all the way up until seven minutes left in the fourth quarter.
And next thing you know, they put up three touchdowns in six minutes or whatever it was, you know? So, yeah, they're just just to two talented, I guess I would say, you know, there to special were added reading, Fearless.
I mean, you went for it on fourth and one tremendous field, you know, with the game on the line.
He's so U S o disrespected with the play calling.
He's like he literally does not care who is on the other side like Andy Reid.
Just like fourth down, 4th and 12 all while the house, When you're not even looking at playbook, let's just do whatever and And they do it like, you know, it was just, you know, just that mindset to be aggressive and and And, you know, I think you know, aggressive people on life.
They win passive people, you know, You you you don't you don't come up big.
You know, those are regular people, people that do special things.
They're aggressive and they take chances.
And sometimes it pays all.
Sometimes it doesn't this situation and what is looking like over the last couple of years for the Chiefs.
It definitely has paid off.
So, um, I can't bet against him.
But I do like a lot of what the Bills were doing.
You know Josh Allen? He's a Central Valley boy. You know.
He's, you know, from a not Thio, not too far away from me.
My, Actually, my my junior college quarterback actually trains him in the off season at times.
And then he worked with Palmer as well.
But he worked with my boy a lot.
My boy. Greg Pinelli.
So you know, there's, you know, there's ties there.
I think, what Alan and Digs Air doing, I think that's that's special, that connection that they've had this year, Uh, their defense has played exceptionally well over the last half dozen.
Uh, they started off the season pretty slow, but the last half of the season, they kind of come to their own with Leslie Frazier.
They're doing They're doing very well defensively.
So it'll be interesting.
I think having guys like, uh, you know, traditions White, who can who can, you know, match up with guys here and there? Uh, Cherry Hill is not a good matchup for anybody, but I think the guy where you're like, Hey, I feel comfortable in at certain times just putting you on him.
I think that's a good matchup.
So I like the Bills and if you know where anybody but the but the Chiefs, I would maybe put money on the Bills, but I just can't bet against the Chiefs.
The balls were too big, you know.
They just they just do too much, Uh, good stuff in there, consistent with it.
You know, it's not flash in the pan type stuff there consistently. Really good.
So I wouldn't be surprised.
I don't have to build one, but if I had to put money on it, I'm putting my money on E.
I agree. I agree.
Whenever you cannot play time possession, style football against a team that you need to play time possession style football and that doesn't work and they let you know right up the gate.
But I have the gate that it's not gonna work.
It makes it very difficult with with an offensive could score it willing In Kansas City, Um, it's gonna be very, very, very interesting.
Andi, I'm excited to see to see what what you're taking are gonna be on Twitter and such whenever this weekend is all said and done And we're down down to just the two best teams from each conference Super super excited.
Um, Eric, uh, if you don't mind and just let the people know you know where they can find you.
And also, if you only have anything else that you want to hit on me for yours, brother.
Oh, yeah, man, you got Just check me out.
That's the That's the main Twitter account.
I've also have the, uh, Crocker report at Crocker Report.
Uh, Twitter account instagram account Crocker report dot com eso you know, check in, check in, man.
You know you guys air.
See? You know things air growing.
Everything is heading in the right direction on.
You know, everybody is tuning here, man.
There's something that you guys are you know you strive to do or you strive to be like you want it.
You gotta believe in yourself.
I know it sounds cliche, but you really gotta believe in yourself and to you got to really go all in on that.
You know, you can't have facet or you're never gonna get the results you want.
So that's just kind of how much exit this thing.
Hey, man, that's also so comment, you know, towards in a take that shot, you know, shooter, shoot.
That's right, That's that. That's how it is.
But you can't you say you got a really, really that there's gonna be some uncomfortable times taking your shot.
There's gonna be some uncomfortable time taking your shot, but you gotta embrace it.
What I'm saying, you gotta embrace it.
I ai also one of things I found interesting about this interview.
Like how many things like like you and I both completely different walks of life.
But how many? Just different things.
Like I once was working at Macy's for $7 an hour, you know? So I I know like like you know, actually, I used to live in l.
So, like it's crazy, You know, a small world.
You never know who you guys are gonna meet all the podcasts out there, the piece of advice that I wanna leave you guys reach out to people You never know what what an opportunity may present it.
So I hop into the to the film session Monday.

Can we use who? Who you're gonna meet? Uh, just how how how well and how genuine conversation is gone.
