What's up, guys? CJ hair close to the Garden podcast apartment with unwrapped sports network.
Like I said earlier in my my football football show was gonna come back and do a podcast on the top 10 point got top 10 NBA point guards entering 29 teams when he sees it, not a discussion.
So many so many pool of point guards right now on the NBA's is unlimited.
So many young guards, some vets, just is endless.
But, you know, it's really extend this.
10 guys that I feel are the cream of the crop.
And now let's let's go over right now.
Number 10 of Chris Paul, Oklahoma City Thunder.
Previously on the Houston Rockets He was traded July 16th.
Obviously, the big trade from Russell Westbrook and I don't know about an RV is well is also a part of that deal going to the Oklahoma City thunder? Uh, just, you know.
Yeah, and 2020 18.
The average weight play 58 games averaged 15.
6 points per game, a 0.
2 assists per game.
That or 50 42% from the field, 36% from three on 86% from the free throw line.
Polls have got 34 years old.
A lot of people saying that a man thank you, man, appreciate this ad match.
Really great out.
It's trying to get engagement mess.
It's really good.
Thank you, Yeah.
Chris Paul, 34 years old.
A lot of people saying that he's washed doesn't have it anymore.
I think I think the situation in Houston was caught up.
Kind of died down, of course.
The first, the first year in heaven.
A link that was spectacular.
They want number one number one seed in the N B.
A top seed in the Western Conference when 77 games with Golden State secrets pulling down in Game six.
Ultimately got hurt last year.
But they're linked up.
You know, A lot of people thought the same thing's gonna happen.
I'm going right back to restaurants. Find trees.
Golden State again.
Earlier, earlier in the season, Crispo got hurt.
A cappella got her.
James Harper had really carry the load.
They had a kind of cheap, changed their style a little bit, kind of played more, five out.
So Chris Paul came back.
The system was a little bit out of whack.
James Harden really handling the ball a lot more.
I think I think that really didn't.
I think that really didn't really didn't fit Chris Paul's game.
If then they were better than we expected.
I mean, that has you.
He has to play better.
He has to play better in Oklahoma City to your friend, too.
One change, change the narrative on his career.
And also, you know, if he wants to possibly go to a contender, whether whether it be it be a trade deadline or the following summer.
So he has to guess the show.
They could still be a leader s should still be that guy.
That even though he may not be the the number one, at least at least a team or contender, it might wantto make it make a trade and make a move where he could be a number two and still out.
First off, health health is number one for Chris.
And I got to study for the eight games last year, Not not something you would expect.
What? The guy was such a such a large contract making over 40 mill.
You know, at the time when the deal was done when the deal was made, he's nothing you can really do about it.
He was one of the best of the best point.
Basically, you had to pay and had to give him that contract.
Him and James Harden's was a perfect marriage, you know, just once arrested conference finals.
So you had to make the deal, understand? Of course.
Now, now, now, look at him.
He said that they overpaid for him, but then look at a guy like timber for Tito, owner of the owner of the Rockets.
You want to make sure you're winning? You know, they felt like they were right there again.
So you make that deal, you make that moving.
Resigned, unfortunately, didn't work out in Houston.
Oklahoma City's that is a isn't disagree, City.
They're gonna They're gonna rally behind them.
I think they have a solid team.
Of course, if they were in the Eastern Conference up, probably picked them.
Probably get in the playoffs.
But but in the Western Conference is is to stack is to stack.
I'm not sure if they could get that ABC We'll see.
But I think I do think Chris Paul will play play a lot better than we play last year in Houston.
I think the scheme is different.
That bowl of being his hands a lot more.
Look Bradley, for its field goal percentage to go up, look for his sister, go up that they have a solid team.
Look at this. Not in five.
Chris Paul, Shejust, Alexander, Danilo Gallinari.
You know a Robison can come back in my slide into the three of them.
I put Ferguson at the three.
We'll see what happens.
Of course, Steven Adams there in the middle, blocking shots, getting rebounds.
I think he will improve player Russell Westbrook as well.
Of course I mean Chris Paul as well, from playing with Russell Westbrook before.
So he used to have used to having that better than point guard, that plane making porn God.
So I think I think Adam's gonna fit perfectly with with Chris.
I still see a lot of a lot of things that were Crispo, Castille still productive in the MBA.
A lot of people say you know, his wife.
He's past his prime.
I don't really see it.
I don't really see.
I just think the scheme in Houston wasn't didn't really fit his skill set, especially especially last year and, you know, in the show.
But they struggled in that playoff game in the Western Conference semis.
But I think he will bounce back.
I think he will bounce back to show you have a really good year, you know? Well, it will be, Well, he played the entire year in Oklahoma City.
You know, that remains to be seen, but I think I think or B I think his numbers numbers would be great if I was gonna plan inspired.
I think a lot of those players in O.
C right now they're gonna play inspired as well.
I think people come them out.
I think they're going to be a lot of the team just because they got somebody picks him that Paul George.
I think I'm gonna play some inspired inspired basketball and really make it competitive for these top teams in the Western Conference is no.
There's no easy game in the West.
It doesn't matter.
You could look at the schedule, you know, this young team that may not expect to win a lot of games.
The talent and the rest is still still still the cream of the crop, in my opinion.
So a lot of folks I look for okay, see the play well, if Chris Paul to be down, you never know.
I see a retro Chris Paul back to back in the waters days when he was carrying the Hornets.
No, it's the most playoffs appearances.
They obviously weren't able to get over the hump just because he was really just a primary offensive.
Who's the primary guy offense? This time? You have a couple scores.
Like I said, I think I think they just Alexander was a really nice piece of nice young piece.
He can learn from Chris Paul how to be a leader, how to be a floor general.
Think that's a perfect situation and I think Sam Presti was I think that was probably the best part in that pool of yours.
They're good at getting in and getting a young guy.
So even even if you do trade a guy like Chris Paul for saying be a pic, so maybe younger player I've seen a lot of lot of talks about possibly Chris Paul going that the Timberwolves for Wiggins and Gallinari.
I've seen the story just just circulate over the past couple of days.
I'm not so sure it's, you know, it's just It's just rumors right now, but I think Chris Paul can learn from from George's Alexander.
I mean, if they could see you guys in it could learn from Chris Paul.
There had to be a leader, and then he could. He could apply that.
Apply those characteristics and skill says going forward as a, as you can see expects him to be that guy for the future.
So crisp are you really doing here? Number nine of calorie champion Toronto Raptors Chris Paul Kawai Leonard just left, so I look out for his points.
I look for his points to go up this year.
Last year, he played 65 games at 14 points, almost five rebounds, almost 8.
7 assists per game, 41% in the field, 35 3 83 from from the strike.
If you don't mind no solid, solid numbers, he's always He's always been a really good facilitator, even even in this time when they had Rosen.
I think now with the Raptor thinks the outcome's gonna be that primary option that they go to and Cholera again is gonna be a gonna be a nice second piece.
And I second star, still a leader.
I have some big moment in the finals, especially in that game six with some big time shots.
Have some big time passes, just, you know, just he showed his leadership and he was hurt.
I think you still have a thumb.
Injury was tough for him to shoot, but he stayed out there. He stuck it out.
I did everything for his team.
So, of course, because the narrative around him before this year was, you know, he didn't step up in the playoffs and, you know, it was fair. He wasn't.
He wasn't asked.
Consisted in the playoffs.
Epps, as we saw throughout the regular season because they wrapped it if it was still win 50 plus games, 55 plus games, you know, went a couple rounds, but it just happened to run into run into Brown.
I mean, after like if Brown wasn't there, you know, they would have multiple finals appearances.
But you go up against a legend one of the greatest of all time.
You're gonna get that.
I'm going to meet that challenge.
And unfortunately, during that time before, before LeBron headed west, they were unable to get over the hump.
But now obviously wouldn't have the superstar like a lie there in the Eastern Conference.
Planned for the rafters, they were able to get over the hump.
It makes a big time plays Nick nurses.
It is a really good coach, and I think how large this year is gonna they have really good, really good.
I think it's points will go up.
I think it's a cyst will stay the same.
Or maybe a little high and mighty might get in the double digits.
She knows I definitely see its field goal percentage being a lot, being a lot higher than than than what it was last year.
Only only at 40 only 41% from a fair like I could look to see possibly maybe about 47 50.
50 50 range from the field.
That three point silent 35 obviously to have Fred Van Fleet as well really good back up.
I think she could be a starter for.
You know, any other team that needs a point guard.
But to have both of those guys are really, really great for Toronto.
I look for cholera, have have a really good year statistically and possibly get the Raptor back in the playoffs.
Straight to the Jazz on June 19th.
They just like the first.
We're like a like a really, really, really good player.
Really get a contender before we know everything.
Everything popped off.
Infuriated Seat on June 30th.
Played 70 games after after being hurt with the Achilles that the year prior 21 points per game.
Three rebounds, six assists, 40 almost 44% from the field, 36% from 33 85% from the free throw line.
Really great, really great year for my colleague.
Grizzlies weren't that great of a team, obviously.
Now he's going to Utah, playing alongside of, you know, a nice, great young guard, rising young guard and out of the Mitchell have to have two really good wing players and Boban Bogdanovich and Joe Ingles.
And, of course, you have Defensive Player of the Year, um, really go bare metal. Blocking shots.
I think he went to the maintenance of the perfect team.
I think it was a great move by Utah to get another guy, and then I could score.
So So Donna Mitchell is necessarily the primary scoring option.
That's pretty much what's been happening since his first.
His 1st 2 years in the league has been the primary score, and that's why I really haven't been able to take that next step.
So continues really hone in on Michigan, kind of like everybody else.
And look what everybody else shooting the shots.
And it was It was It was tough in Utah, and now you have it.
Now you have a backcourt that's really solid toe compliment to compliment.
I'll go bearing the medals.
You can run the floor, block shots, you know, catch lobster, do everything.
Would like to see a little bit of maybe a postgame from him.
Maybe just a little hook shot.
Just add just add another dynamic to make them more dangerous.
MOC But back to Cali, I looked her as a sister go up a little.
I look for all these numbers to go up just because he's on a better team now.
Angles and Bogdanovich really the shooters.
So the spacing is there.
He's obviously he's a great shooter.
I think with his his shooting, his his points and shooting will go up.
I think Mitchell Mitchell has become a better plane maker just playing off this plane off my colony.
So, of course, his leadership, the piece has been.
He's had playoff success early early in the grease these days and have Lionel Hollins, Marcus Oh, Zebra Zebo, Rudy Gay, OJ Mayo Back in the day.
So you know they have valves that happened with Spurs and battles.
Okay, see Tony Allen's well, a few a few years, a few years and in those early Grizzlies days, So you know, he understands the moment he understands was expected.
He's really he's a really good leader of one of the best no Grizzlies players of all time.
I think impending Marcus Saw definitely have the jury's retired when they're done, and then the grind house that had a lot of great memories.
There is probably the most underrated point guards.
And in my generation, you just unfortunately, just he's in a conference where the pool of point guards is just It's so Stack, you just wasn't wasn't able to to get, you know, just get that all star selection because there's just too many guards.
Chris Paul, you know, done.
Russell Westbrook's that curry things, Damian, when there's just too many guards.
So I don't make the All Star Game mission.
And maybe I don't think I think at this point his career.
He's more concerned about winning, just playing those last two seasons in Memphis, where they really struggled.
I think he wants to get back on the winning side and contended for continued for a championship, I think you ties it as it has a really good shot, really saw.
The team never agreed at a great coach.
Quin Snyder's when the best coaches in the NBA.
So I looked for him.
T o put put colonists and it's an excellent positions to succeed.
I like telling me a lot that she met Pete, but I expect his numbers to increase.
Haven't really Sally year really solid year number seven.
The Air Fox man special especially young player.
His first year, we saw flashes brilliance needed to work on the shooting, that there were neither about the shooting in the mid range and the outside see year to definitely did that and worked on that after 17 points per game.
Three rebounds, seven assists, 46% from the field, 37% from three and 71 72 73% from the free throw line.
Really, really good numbers for a year to Ali.
And of course, the King's right there.
Think they were the nice See last year there were they were messing around.
They were playing around with the A C all throughout the season.
I think the experience and just that you've kicked in shorts that short take half the season, so I just know you have to have the better and guys in there.
So they kind of made that leap and ended up getting a spot.
But I think the Kings are right there, there, right there.
If he continues to take that next step along, Buddy healed along with Martin back with that third.
Also like to see a lot from Harry guys now that they've moved on from with this guy and look forward to seeing him moved to that five.
Definitely being being a force in the middle in the front court with a and B three.
So I think they're gonna think that I think the Kings are right there, in my opinion that they could definitely get that spot in the Western Conference.
They have to be locked in from from October to April.
It has to be because again, the West is just It's crazy.
It's Carrie is crazy in the Western Conference to money two loaded, You can't eat, can't sleep any night.
I can't sleep on anything.
You have to lock and play defense a lutely world and really issued to see what How long woolen schemed, what schemes he does and how he put Fox and instant positions to score.
I mean, I mean, I feel like when he was with the Lakers, not this The scheme was all right. You had that.
They had a couple good moments.
I feel like he didn't really let Alonso Alonso, you know the first the 1st 2 years of his career.
You will see if he kind of learned from his mistakes his Laker Laker coaching days Holmes himself a little bit and then see the time that he hasnt Fox.
It kind of gives.
It continues to giving the keys, as as he had a year to.
I think he only thinks he takes another step.
I think he averages over 2020 points per game.
Probably gets too close to maybe like, nine assists.
Or so it really showed lies.
One of the best one of the best Young point was in the lead in one of the best point guards in the period.
Great, great defensively.
Now I have to shoot from the outside, so you have to respect that.
If you go under the screen, go on this gun to shoot that lefty.
It's tough, tough, then.
It's tough if you can.
If you go over, you have to speed.
Don't go on you. People lay it up. He's athletic.
Think, think Sky's the limit for Fox.
Scotsman Fox, of course.
Minutemen pendant M and so got drafted.
It was a lot of discussion.
Who's better? I think I think both are really good.
Both have different type of styles that was more retro.
Point guard likes to get the boat everybody else, and then and then later on, after everybody else is doing that thing will work its way into scoring.
Fox is more, but Frances Fox it kind of is more of a combo combo going to score and pass.
So So what was the rebound play defense? It just just have different styles people wanna compare.
But, um, I think I think I think both both of them would be excellent guards going forward in the future.
And I think Fox is.
Fox is making some big steps, and the main thing between those two is as health.
Fox has been relatively healthy throughout history.
Play anyone games last year.
Bonds has been injured.
So that's that's really been one, that one of the problems that also also again, like I just said with, well, not really let Alonso be himself in his 1st 2 years, as in growing and developing until a young player that came into the Kings wanted that from Fox meat from the job.
So I expect a lot of great things, great things from from the air in Fox this year.
Maybe possibly possibly All Star. Possibly.
Maybe All Star parents will see number six men.
Simmons, Philadelphia, 76 years.
Point guards, 6 10 That's all on Instagram or maybe on YouTube.
I'm watching Chris Johnson, whose videos on YouTube watching him work on his game.
You know, the shot looks great. He's a lefty.
I said I had a podcast with my guy from unwrapped sports in a couple of my other friends.
We didn't rank in the top 25 players in the n b.
And the one thing I said about Simmons Waas, he doesn't mean, you know, a lot of people are so concerned about not shooting threes.
And my thing is, it doesn't necessarily need to shoot threes yet.
Just needs to work on his midrange working as a mid range in the ST Rose.
That's when that's when you start.
You start inside out and you know, right now he's down in the end, the paint.
You know, he's down in the paint about gardening pages because I told he is and you know he's gonna have a smaller guard on him, so he's able to use his size and strength to get to the baskets.
Light work, But but now teams, they're gonna they're gonna sag off.
That's what teams doing that sagging off and let him live with shot.
He's smart enough to understand that.
So, you know, I right after the season, in the summer and this summer, working on this game in the off season, working on his mid range and that second reason we'll see if that we'll see if a translation into the MBA I think it will again, is this.
They're gonna They're gonna leave him open.
It still starts going in.
Is there a lot of open shots? It's just all about confidence, All about the confidence getting that wraps up.
Exactly what I said.
Podcast was making players just by developing the confidence going out there, putting the refs up.
And he averaged 60 hours up 17 eight and seven.
That's without a mid range.
So just imagine if he has a mid range in the free throws this over 20 you doesn't he doesn't need to shoot threes.
Doesn't need the street duties.
I like the sixties team a lot.
There long have a lot of athleticism picking up Holford from I'm taking, you know, taking him from from the Celtics and now now being on the six years was it was a great addition.
You know, they're starting five with us.
Josh Richardson to buy.
It's Iris offered and be that defensively, offensively, offensively and a lot of people questions spacing because offered Pulford and offers a big body.
Guy likes to be in the pan.
Think Coffee's really developed over the years until it may stretch for stretch five type player.
So I think he doesn't mind standing out there and knocking down shots.
I'm pretty sure he's working on that right now.
I'm pretty sure you understand the team that he's on now.
You understand that Symbols of the type of guy that's still still, you know, I expect him to go to shoot me rangers and possibly maybe shoot a couple threes.
I still expect him to still be more of a slash that slashing types.
I'm pretty sure he offers in there.
Working on Organized three's understands the space until enough for him to really have impact on the team.
It's safer for Horford to space the floor, so I think someone's gonna improve from there to get easily average.
A triple double tripled up next year and his sleep.
No doubt they're gonna go on the screen all day, so I mean, it's just pretty much open shots, open shots.
And so they start stepping up.
And if they step up, he's going to use his speed athleticism to go to the cup.
And if the big man steps up, that's a dump off to, indeed, and if the and if the wing steps up on the corner, kick it out.
Whoever's on the corner for for for easy spacing and easy three.
But be Richardson to bias or off.
So now he's a great playmaker when the best play makers and leaving the best passes in the meat already just at such a young age.
A lot of people so quick to judge him a lot.
A lot of people, the national sports media, you know what they like to do is you like the rush, these guys career and that's just how life works life.
So I saw that episode hypocritical because you don't get away there at rushed, so why would you expect MBA players? You know, 1st 1st 2nd year in the league toe automatically become the greatest player in the N B A so quickly.
It just doesn't work like that.
Doesn't work like that is not to Kay.
It's not mad and talk about when they talk about football players, things take time.
You know, we know what he's great at.
The only thing that he needs to work on is this is the MIDI and the three.
You could do everything else.
So you know, he has a whole career to work on that he wants to be great, and that's the pain.
If you want to be great, you're working those things and looking at the videos that ass that I've seen so far this offseason, it looks really good.
Shot looks good.
You can't, you know, once it starts going in, can't block it because he's 6 10 so you could be buried.
Could be extremely truly scary player in the n b A. Going forward.
I think in the next 5 to 7 years you could be a top player in the n.
Just just off. The versatility is gonna be extremely difficult to guard him.
That's why I haven't met six right now.
But you know, by the end of the year you get picking definitely in the top.
That's how far, maybe top three.
Oh, all right. Number five.
Kemba Walker, New York native.
You know, Harlem, New York writes high school from the Bronx.
Salve you my pain.
He's always a legend.
He's a legend in our city, man.
Obviously wanted one of the best players come from New York City Celtics.
So so happy that that he went to the Celtics.
Now I was so short.
And before free agency started, I don't know if he was gonna stay in Charlotte and take the Supermax, which honestly, I wanted out of respect.
That's a lot of money, But he didn't do it, I think Jordan Jordan in the Hornets.
I don't think they were willing to offer him that much.
And I understand it from there about as well because they're a small market team if you want.
If you offer a guy like came with that much money, what happens is it really, really restrains the rest of the roster so you wouldn't even have been able to put, you know, some salad sound pieces around him, too, you know, for an order for the Hornets have immediate success.
I think both sides kind of understood that they get my Mr Right at the promise.
Career really hasn't had a lot of playoff success only one or two times, I believe so.
Now you go to a store historical organization like the Celtics won that.
You know, when I went in this franchise in all of sports, I have had, you know, so many point guards throughout their history.
Bach, Uzi, You know Rondo even, you know, up to recently now, a couple years ago, I t of course, Kyrie.
I came into the phone.
It's Ah, I'm happy for a friend who went to a great team, Very situation.
Have some really great scores on the roster with great, really great young wings and Jalen Brown and Jason's hate him.
So very sad to see.
Hi, how you place right now, if you know, if you wantto see, see how how is working? You know, watch, watch the USA games.
I mean, it's pretty much it's pretty much the Boston South. That's where it goes.
Both the Celtics.
It's mostly just starting five.
They got smart there as well, knocking down shots.
So I really like I really I really like him going to the Celtics Now. He has an opportunity.
Go to the playoffs, have some potentially go to go to the second round.
I just want to see him in the playoffs.
You know, we'd be so having that tournament style back in Yukon, obviously, you know, for me, for me, watching him, and you're so he's always had always been a tournaments, always been clutch.
You know what? A national championship? You know what? The Huskies.
I decided to see what Kim it does with this new challenges. New roster.
You know, I'm a little skeptical with with cancer, just for the simple fact that he's not really a room protector.
But I do think they have some salad pieces.
I like Robert Williams.
We'll see if we'll see if they get taco, false, taco, false and burn.
Just just just be just be a body just to be a body in the middle block shots and he could move for her size.
But back back to Ken. But then came.
His numbers are going to increase.
Actually, I was 25 points, 25 points, four points, 4.
9 assists per game, 43% from the field and 36% from 3 84% from the free throw line.
I think the numbers, I think the place for game may go down.
The assist will go up again just because he has better players around him.
So look for him to be a lot more for Playmaker this year, something that really have to see him from even though you have is almost seven, even though it was ever 60 says I see the assist going up, especially playing with the system with Brad Stevens, I think I think it was gonna be gonna have a really, really great season.
So I have in my five.
Before Kyrie Uncle Drew, previously on on the Boston Celtics.
Despite If I am saying that beginning the season he was gonna, you know, be a Celtic for life didn't happen, I just think it was It was a bad fit.
It was a bad fit.
And now you know, now he's in Brooklyn.
It's the team that, well, he's been a net fan growing up, Not when they were in Jersey.
He's French from Jersey with ST Patrick's High School in New Jersey.
Play with Michael Kidd, Michael Kidd, Gilchrist in high school.
So I think I think it's a perfect situation because the purpose of Jewish room, he's home now.
He's comfortable. It's his team.
Even though I may not like it was, it was It was his team and in Boston.
But I think he I think he learned a lot in Boston.
Just about 11 Learn to be a leader under B, the guy.
So it was only his what, his second year and then how to be the guy.
So I don't expect Nick was going on, man, you know, I didn't expect, you know, you had a great season. Physically.
Had 24 points for 24 points.
We gave five rebounds, seven assists, 40%.
40 Almost 48 is 40% in the field, 40% from 3 80 87% from the free throw line.
He had a good season playoffs.
They struggled a little bit of a struggle.
But in the second round, a lot of guys struggled in that in a second round.
I feel like the forward played the wing plate against the Bucks.
Really, really wasn't as consistent enough from from Hayward.
Tatum and Brown noted it to compliment when Johannes was doing yes, Katari was taking a lot of shots, understand that, but but also some of the other players that were really making those shots as well, so he probably felt like But they're not gonna do that if they're not making their shots, and I'm trying to give him the ball as much as possible.
I'm gonna try to, you know, I'm going to try to rally these guys with my scoring.
Unfortunately, the shot's murder shots were going in.
The box did a great job of playing defense.
They're a great defensive team at Brogden.
Johannes Middle Tennessee has length.
Lopez, as well as length as well, could block shots.
So it now in Brooklyn? No que de another challenge, not a challenge.
I'm really interested to see how Kyrie and avert play I have the car's number is one of my top candidates for most improved player next year, go.
I'll go over that in a later stream, but I like I like cursing a lot.
Joe Harris has already have chemistry when until Arizona driver's on the cash.
When early earlier.
Nick Career. Whenever, when they were really young.
One of the best shoes in MBA former Just the reigning 3.
3 point champion Celtics versus the Nets four times a year.
Must see TV for a fact.
You know the TD Garden. They're gonna bukater.
They're gonna glue Carley on.
We're in Cambodia Special Special.
I cannot wait. I really cannot wait.
Hopefully, I could try to get a game at the Barclays and try try to catch a game.
Celtics, words and the Nets because that's a lot.
A lot of ankles.
A lot of angles will be broken in that game.
No to two of the most.
For the most electric point.
God's best hand was Kyrie to get to the cup and one of the best finishers ever.
Just leave these elite, I think, in the third year, now being the leader, being being the guy, being one of the guys in one of the guys, especially Katie not playing they should be Achilles.
It's another trap.
It's a learning process, Only 27 to me as a lonely, I think.
I think he's in.
He's in, he's in.
He's in a great situation.
Every situation in Brooklyn again these conferences is really just to me.
It's just the six years, and but, you know, there are some other, like the Pacers think the Celtics could possibly sneak in there as well.
Have to see how I can definitely make some noise.
Only questions is their defense in the moment, but the next.
And that's when The Grace by DeAndre Jordan don't see any type of guy.
So it's really no lack off when the Andre goes to the bench, ever, really get K accents? When one of the best coaches in the NBA Long Island guy, I think I think it's gonna it's gonna be a great connection thing is gonna be a great connection.
D'Angelo Russell had a career year last year and scoring assists playing under Kenny.
I considered a lot of people thought, you know what? How How is Kyrie gonna play? I wouldn't use their best player.
So you gonna You gonna work through him Right now, he's the best.
Players are gonna work through him.
He's gonna be more than playmaker this year.
I think he's just he's just This is just about playing, playing at home, playing way you want to be at you.
Got traded to the Celtics, never asked to go to the Celtics.
Let's remember the four teams Hey, originally want to go to with Timber.
Lowe's next Spurs in the Heat.
None of those teams were Was Boston.
The reason why they made that trains? They felt the Castro like, you know, they were able to get a really good point guard as well and conversation if they were able to lose Carrie and an I t.
You know how that worked out.
But now he's He's in Brooklyn now.
I expect I expect great things, great things from him.
He's gonna live.
I think he's gonna really challenge, is gonna accept the challenge.
Embrace the challenge.
But Katie not being there, I'm excited.
I'm excited to see how Kyrie plays and Brooklyn this year.
Russell Westbrook, Houston Rockets.
Now bad him and James Harden again.
You know, they've been friends.
They've been friends ever since the age of 10.
Statistically didn't have a great year can defeat, then shoot that well from three as well.
29% in 3 66% from the free throw line will be on.
The rust like stress from the free throw line is usually around 80 80% range at 3.
I think I think we'll go up.
I don't see him having another 29 29% 3 point percentage this year.
It's playing with his friend James Harden.
A lot, lot more open looks doesn't necessarily have to forces many shots.
They have rockets have excellent shooters around him, so I think the attempts will go down.
So I think that's why the field, the field goal percentage will go up.
We'll take many shots from there because he has guys he could trust around him in Okay, see that they were literally one the worst three point shooting teams in the past five years.
They were really the worst.
Out of all the contenders in the n b A.
They have the worst spacing out all those teams and that's why they weren't able to really have sustained success and not get, and only only only wish the first round wasn't able to get past the first round.
So now you, Tucker Gordon, Ben McLemore, Rivers cannot get down from three, obviously, James Harden knocking down three.
I think. I think Russell's.
I think the numbers are gonna prove Russell with the AB triple double games.
Very like, very like they could do so composed right there in the middle of a new bench center because the nay up their age.
Hey, yes, he is up there in age, but obviously still a big body, Still a big body.
Have Tyson Chandler that had to have two guys now, even though they're up their age, I think I think both of those guys were probably split split minutes.
I see D'Antoni doing something like that, where they could stay relatively fresh, as though it still it still be able to contribute, contribute to have some impact throughout the season and then later into the playoffs.
So, yeah, they do have some older guys coming off the bench from the front court area, but I think I think they'll be fine.
They'll be fine from the aspect they left.
See that? See that? I see the numbers.
See, the physical percent is definitely in a lot better.
Going up threes.
I see. Going out free throws. You definitely should. Definitely.
It's gonna It's gonna go to the basket.
The spacing on the spacing on the floor now's is so much, so much better than what it was. Okay.
See, these past few years, it's gonna go to the paint a lot more knock down shots.
The mid range is gonna be there.
What? What you were gonna be able to do What you gonna be able to do? You have You have hardened off the ball, back door cuts.
I'm really excited to see how Mike D'Antoni may.
I saw interview on the world's pod.
Mike D'Antoni said he doesn't really see the Rockets really changing their scheme a lot from last year.
I'm not sure that that's part That's the best way to go.
Even though even though Russell Russell in Chris Paul, they're different type.
Their difference have a point guard.
So it may it may work and they work.
Russell could get the ball off the rebound, kind of get his own shot just off the fast break.
That's not really Chris Paul's game, Chris opposing and slow it down and the half court rust could do it, too.
But he relaxes the athleticism, get up and down.
They could do a lot of different things the way detective player that he is.
So I think he's still gonna still gonna get the rebounds.
Still, one thing that you still want to get the rebound.
You think that you know, people, people, people talk about, you know, padding stats and all that.
But for me, I will not put out to get the rebound because he just thought he just thought the offense immediately.
He doesn't actually.
The baby's having rebound between a point guard point guard, get the rebound start, start the offense right away.
Whether it be it, he may, he may see he may see something that he may see the defense lacking and give it a kick it out to a shooting court down the court.
Well, he may come down and see that the big man's not down, not down there yet.
They go to the Cup and get and get easy dunk, easy, lay up fast, fast break, fast break.
And I think I think that from that aspect.
I think that's why I think that's why it works.
It works in Houston.
I just I just I just see it being I just see it being successful with him and James Harden already have chemistry.
They went to the finals together.
Like I said, they've been playing basketball together since they were since they were the age of 10.
Look at the uses rate.
The reason why the uses rate is like that.
That's that's That's the narrative that people are using right now for the Rockets.
Why it's not gonna work out Rate is so high between these two hours.
Gonna work? Well, When Russell was in Oklahoma City, I mean, he was the guy, so you don't Yeah, the ball had to be in his hands. Notify.
Okay, so you have the best chance to win and seeing same goes for for the Rockets and James Harden.
Nor for the Rockets to win is the ball has to be in his hands.
So whether brother that be scoring or play making something for us scoring playmaking.
So that's where their usage rate so high.
Now them together, of course, is gonna come down.
But this is what's gonna happen is they're gonna become more efficient, and that makes it scary.
And that's why I feel like they're gonna be one of the top teams.
And that'd be a my best team in the NBA.
You know that? Their best in the N b A.
Behind the Clippers on the Lakers.
I don't wanna drink both L A teams.
I'm cool right now.
I think the Lakers have the edge over the Clippers, but that's that's that's the latest room to can't wait to break that down for me.
Team rankings going forward as the season approaches.
But Russ, Russ, Russ in Iraq, it's It's a great fit to me.
It's a great fit. They're gonna play well together.
I'm excited to see Russ, and this is way it's gonna be weird to see him in a rock.
It's uniform, especially all the, especially all the battles that the Thunder and Houston had over the past couple of years.
But whether being a regular season, a couple matchups in the playoffs.
It's gonna be It's gonna be We're gonna We're not CNN, Okay? See? Rocket zero.
But, I mean, I'm excited.
I'm really excited for us with his numbers Go up.
That's why I haven't met 30.
Number two had to go a day and **** dollar again for me.
I have had to go with him over us over Kyrie over Kimber one.
How I played the playoffs.
And then, just from the standpoint of you know, the trouble is, is there a small market team? And for this team that continue to contend, continue to be right there every single year.
Top succeed every single year, and Jamie Levit has a lot of everything to do with the obviously CJ McCollum as well is a key factor.
Those those two stars with Day and James is the primary guy.
You've got a great job.
He's done a great job of carrying the franchise ever since.
You know, beer? I went down to get got hurt in his career.
Cut short, he stepped up.
He's he's been he's been great for that.
They got swept against Republicans the year before, then at that emits a lesson. Compass finals.
They were in every single one of those games.
They just they just didn't have the experience.
They didn't have the size in the middle, didn't have America.
I think marriage is there.
This epic Siri's might have, might have gone might have gone six but minus the experience experience.
And I'm not being in that situation.
Golden State, even though didn't have Kevin Durant, they still had Steph Curry, Clay and Draymond.
Those guys they've been through balanced way before Katie ever got there.
So they understand the situation and it's down to get to those moments, and they had to slow down and not get too caught up in the moment.
The Blazers were really weren't ready for that had been that situation, so that's and again they were still up.
They had a lot of chances this morning of close, and any one of those games is really a times of disappointment.
Looking back overall had a really good see at a great season a lot.
A lot of people have the Nuggets going to Western Conference finals.
We stopped the Nuggets pretty sure a lot of people thought in the first round, okay, see who's gonna win.
Gonna win that Syria's advocacy in that series in six, they packed them up.
They will have the dagger right in front of whole Joe's face and then pretty much ended that he had to be in the end of the okay.
See right there.
They blew everything up right after that as well, as well.
So that's That was another thing that really factored in.
As to why haven't number two from top 10 point guards.
He's always always been his humble, his clutch.
Leader doesn't say too much.
He's now is not really a buddy buddy guy with some of the other players.
He just goes out there.
He loves his teammates, left his team and he goes out there and bows, and I respect that.
Actually, I was 25 points per game, 4.
6 rebounds, almost seven assists, 44% in the field, 36% from 3 91 from the free throw line.
3 point percentage to go up at Addison.
Nice. Nice pieces.
Not say little from the draft for from North Carolina.
Got have Whiteside, now to kind of fill that filled that void of losing mortgage.
We'll see what comes back.
Maybe maybe before the playoffs he missed the entire season.
We'll see prayers up to him.
Teaching. Become another year, getting better.
You can't bays more as well.
Really, really nice. Really nice combo.
Guard wing who could score and knock down shots and play defensively? Almost two things.
Very Scotsman on the most underrated head coach in ambient.
Feel like it doesn't get enough credit for the success that Portland is had for.
You know, these past 67 years has been very impressive again in the Western Conference.
Smoke on a small market team there, there, right there all the time to win 50 games.
Very agreeing precedent.
And Lillard is obviously but the reason for that.
So I have a little number two.
Number one Steph Curry.
Consensus means no, you struggled.
Struggled in the finals, you know, And my I'm not I'm not I'm not criticizing a little bit.
Just just just on the shot, I feel like, Well, I couldn't be more and more dominant in the finals and try to carry the team, but you know, the rocks and a great job really, really loading up now.
Let him get easy shots for me and leave Norman Powell quiet.
Quiet. Some situations.
Call our did a great job zone a name like locking up stuff.
Now let me give you some shots to get around.
Great. You did a great job.
Great job stuff.
So kudos to the Raptor.
Raptor had a great game plan and execute it perfectly.
So that doesn't take away from that from the greatness.
Security carries a best best point guard, two time MVP, the accolades of their greatest of all time.
And then the reason.
The reason why I should not even just spot up.
You could cheat off the dribble.
Bore is gonna be It's gonna be scary.
And I have never liked Angelo Russian.
Now he's a combo.
God, he's a combo guard.
Come up with the ball and make plays just just more open.
Looks for Curry.
I've seen a lot of us in a lot of pages on Instagram.
Looking through, paid A lot of people have mess afraid with that for M v P.
Just just because Clay is not there and Katie's not there, that thing's gonna play some more inspired ball.
Make it back to that and BP type season NDP type curry.
I think you'll be right there in the discussion.
I don't see why not.
It's excellent player.
We'll just see how, how, how they manage it, because they don't have clay.
So they, you know they lose.
They lose a little bit of the defensive that that defensive stuff are stressing on the perimeter.
Clay clay Really mad.
You did a great job really masking some of some of Currys deficiencies on defense.
So we'll see what happens with D'Angelo's.
He's easily the okay defender, but that's that's nice.
Maybe they picked up Alec Alec Berg and picked up Robinson the third.
Some good guys service with guys.
I could knock down shots and doing doing most of the things I'm going.
Like I said, what can be more important? So we'll see how it works out.
But I think the numbers are still be difficulties talked.
This very tough.
The garden you have to have.
I understand we have to have a conditioning to be to keep up and run around.
He runs around the three point line.
And the thing is, it's just it's tough to stop that.
You could do that or you go under the screaming.
It's open, even if you don't even if you don't go on the screen.
He sees the big not stepping up.
Its core is going up.
It's going up, and that's what makes it so tough.
So, you know, he was a great job.
Does a great job reading the defense as a running the quickest releases of all time.
I just want a great point guards.
It's been a joy.
Watching for his 1st 4 music's grave injury plague 2013 he scored 34 in the Garden.
That's where everything took off.
It's just business, *****, man.
A great ride, obviously.
You know the accolades, you know, Then you know the unanimous M v p.
You know what's happening to men. I work for the season record.
Curry Curry Curry is one the best man and really sad to see him play the shape of this.
I don't see him play with the Angelo Russell Curry and Russell.
That's that's gonna be scary backcourt and get clay back.
That 123 not not not a lot.
Not a lot of point guards to small forward trio is better than that.
I'd say the Clippers, and maybe that's about it.
So when McLean comes back that that's definite, probably want about shooting trios ever every night.
That's gonna be great to see you, obviously, dreamers to the great playmaker for Dream, to become more more offensive, play initiated.
Gonna need him. Definitely.
And they'd be more.
But often you can't just seven points.
Nine points, not in a kind of fish.
You got to score a lot more.
I think from that Curries gonna curse can also get a lot more or less.
We know we know Dream On isn't one of the best play makers in the NBA's.
I have curry number one.
I don't see it changing heading into next season.
All right, guys, that's That's my top 10 point guards in MBA into in 2019 20 season.
Catherine A guard.
A pod cast on rap sports on Twitter God, Apollo instagram, CJ, rest of the world, All Twitter.
It's been great talking to you guys.
Me and I might I might do my top 10 top 10 shooting guards either tomorrow or or maybe Thursday. We'll see.
I definitely keep you guys posted on Twitter.
So So look off of that has been a pleasure.
It's been a pleasure man doing his rankings.
I told you, guys see him and peace.
