rap sports network Monday nights over.
So that means that week one of the NFL season is over.
So right now, I'm gonna take you through my power rankings after a week One, we're gonna go 10 through one.
So good from top to bottom to the top.
I will start with number 10.
I'll get your number 10 to the Vikings.
Um, I picked them to beat the Falcons.
A lot of people get a little bit of guff for that.
But they came out and showed that their defense is very good on, didn't they? Passable 10 times against the Falcons on Sunday and one by two possessions doesn't look very good.
The defense of really good shutting down on the Falcons offense, only allowing 12 points.
Um, I think that Kirk Cousins needed needs to find sort of a rhythm, though, if they want to be extremely successful as the season goes on.
Like I said, I threw the ball 10 times, um, and still scored enough to keep the Falcons out of it.
28 points on 10 bass.
Is that something you don't see very often in the NFL? Defense played really well.
Um, healthy Dalvin Cook.
If he could stay healthy, it's gonna be really dangerous offense.
So good job by the Vikings team.
I like a lot defense.
I like a lot of their number 10.
I'm gonna put the Ravens at nine.
I'm gonna get a lot of heat for that.
They scored 59 points.
I get that Lamar Jackson look great.
But as I said yesterday, it was against the Dolphins.
I want two weeks.
They have a stretch where they play.
Um, the Steelers.
They play Kansas City, they play the Brown.
So we'll see how they do against better teams in the coming weeks as it goes on.
But Lamar, low grade.
The defense is really good, but I just want to see it against a real team.
I don't know if Lamar Jacket's not gonna pass for 300 yards each week.
I just don't see it happening.
We'll see out, plays out once they had around.
Week five is where we're going to see where Baltimore really is.
And if they sit around three and two and 41 then maybe we can start saying how real they are.
I'm gonna go Green Bay number eight.
Um, it was a message form.
A 10 3 win over the Bears.
The offense looked not great, and Roger's through for barely over 200 years.
The defense, like amazing, though holding the Bear, strolling three points Adri names with the late interception to seal the win.
Um, but the fact that they held the Bears three points were able to go up in Soldier Field, take a win very early on in the season.
That's big for the Packers.
I still think they're gonna win the NFC North.
I think they're gonna be.
I think Adam is number four seed.
I have to check my math on that.
I want to say those three or four seed.
I think that Matt Leffler and Aaron Rodgers Garvin's gonna just continue to get better.
I think it's gonna be a weapon that's gonna be used more often.
And the metal FLIR system.
They ran a lot when he was in Tennessee, so expect Aaron Jones to get more carries as the year goes on.
So I like Green Bay a lot.
I think they're still the best team in that division.
I think they're gonna come away with the division title.
Their number eight.
I have the Rams at seven.
Um, nothing really flashy from We didn't see a lot of Todd Gurley early on.
Um, Malcolm Brown was the one who reigned in the touchdown early on in the game.
So not a lot of time girlie.
Very early on in the game.
But I still like the Rams a lot.
Good road win, Jerry.
Golf played well, Um, going into Carolina, winning by three against one of the best running backs and football.
Camden didn't play particularly well, but it was somewhat of, you know, an exciting game goes down a zoo. One possession game.
The Rams play well in the red.
They have since Sonic Base got there.
Um, a great front seven.
The best defensive player in football, Clay Matthews has really come in, and they're really looking for him to be the replacement for Mark Baron.
Um, so I like the addition of Clay Matthews like their secondary with leaving Peters.
I think they're gonna be a wild card team measure.
They're gonna tie with the 40 Niners for that number one spot in the division I think the foreigners taking on a tiebreaker.
Um, I don't have the 40 Niners in the top 10.
I don't think they're there yet.
I don't see enough from Jimmy Garoppolo yesterday, but the defense might very well.
Richard Sherman had a pick. Six.
Zander, um, things are going to like a little scuffle with tape a bag.
So, um, but 40 niners played well.
The ranch play Well, I have the Rams in the top 10.
Ford and I was not quite yet.
But I think by ah, week three or four, we're gonna be talking more about the 40 Niners and how great they're doing.
But for right now, the Rams sit and number seven.
Number six, the Chargers Like I told you.
Um, it was last Wednesday.
My last dream before the season started About fantasy.
Pick up Boston Ecklie if you can.
And he did not disappoint three touchdowns over 150 yards in a scrimmage.
Really good game from Austin Meckler the game winning touchdown or no resign.
If not for a crazy Malik hooker interception, the game would have gone to overtime.
The charges would have been up by two touchdowns.
So you've got to really put some things into context for the Chargers.
Uh, also, Michael played great.
Philip Rivers look good.
The defense look good.
Even without Derwin James, he's gonna be a big loss throughout the year.
But, you know, Jerry Buss up. Melvin Ingram.
Um, they've still got a strong core up front, a solid secondary.
I like the Chargers.
I think they're gonna win the A F C West.
Um, I said that start the year.
Even without doing Jake, I'm gonna stick by it.
There are my Super Bowl pain coming into the year.
Things might change now that Antonio Brown's a Patriot will get into more of that later.
But the Chargers play well yesterday, had enough mental fortitude to come away with an overtime victory and stay strong after a crazy place family cooker, which led to a late touchdown by T Y.
Help taken into overtime.
They didn't stutter.
That didn't hesitate.
They still got the job, got in overtime.
Good job by the Chargers.
Their number six number five.
The New Orleans Saints last night was one of the better part of the best game of the weekend when we're exciting games I've seen in a long time.
We changed hands three times in the last two minutes.
Um took a late will.
Let's 58 year feudal toe win it for the Saints.
Um, the beat a good Texan steam, um, in week one.
Um, no comeback in under a minute breeze in the offense is really good.
And Drew Brees and the game winning drive being able to recognize how soft the coverage was on the final play before the kick.
Great leadership that he maintains the level that he's playing at.
Still at age 40 I love this team.
I love what Drew Brees has been ableto d'oh! The defense is a good DeAndre hop DeAndre Hopkins. Like, Superb.
Like somebody, actually, I thought that was kind of fun, Uh, was a Martian Lattimore.
But in the comment, you know, it was Marshawn Landmark.
And remember who waas Um, but a lot of fun from the st yesterday, the defense played really well.
Got, um, good enough to beat Shawn Watson.
So big props to the Saints, their number five I like them a lot.
I think they're still gonna win the NFC South and I have them at number five.
I have Dallas sitting at number four.
I think that's a solid spot for them.
The Giants defense is atrocious, but nonetheless Dad played really well.
And when you add Randall Cobb, Michael Gallop to Amari Cooper, um, from the group of titles that they have Zico.
Elliot, obviously the offensive line.
A great linebacker combination with Vanda Russian Jalen Smith.
I think they're gonna be one of the best teams going forward.
I didn't have them in the playoffs this to start off the year.
I don't think they were gonna be, um, good enough to compete.
Um, we'll see how it goes as time goes on.
You know, I only beat the Giants, so we'll see how it goes in the next few weeks.
But nonetheless, they played great yesterday.
Our Sunday Doc look good, really good linebacker, combination of jail and Smelly and Mandresh sold secondary Calvin's number four right now, so I'm gonna stick with my gut, say it kind of falls apart in middle of the year.
We'll see what happens.
But I like the cowboys and as of right now, the number four will see how it goes when they start playing better teams.
But then the West give that credit.
Give the offense credit.
We played really well against the Giants on Sunday.
Wanna know their number four? Number three? The Chiefs, Um, another team that allowed people give me guff on because I didn't have high hopes work this year.
I thought they were gonna take a step back.
I still think that they might.
It's only week one, Um, but they really bullied a really good Jack's defense yesterday.
I'm Holmes, a great and if not for a stupid decision to go for a no look pass when he didn't need, so you would have one additional touchdown on his stature yesterday.
So Sami Walking's really stepped up after the Tyree Kale injury. Gotta give props.
Sammy Watkins three touchdowns in a really great game for him and fantasy owners of Sammy walk ins.
Have you started him? You were very happy.
Um, Tom Holmes is arguably the best quarterback in football right now.
The most dynamic was exciting, without a doubt.
So if you are a Kansas City Chiefs fan, you're happy after Week one and going as the season goes on.
I mean, they're still got the two games against the Chargers.
I think they're still going to split those games.
I think the Raiders could give them troubles.
I don't think the Raiders gonna beat them.
I don't think Denver's gonna be.
Then they look atrocious last night.
So in terms of the division, it's a two team race.
Um, but I definitely like where the Chiefs are sitting right now, like Chris Jones, Fran Clark, um, the same defensive line getting pressure.
Obviously, that led to the next Rose injury.
So hopefully make fools is better and gets back as soon as possible.
But they should have the habit of Bacon wreak upon teams Tyrone Matthew, the secondary, to give them some more stability.
Back there is safety chief.
You're looking good right now, and we'll see how it goes forward in the A F C West race with the Chargers.
The Eagles, like they overcame a 17 nothing deficit going into halftime.
Sean Jackson and Carson Wentz.
John Jackson's gonna go down as maybe the best pickup of the off season for any team.
Two long touchdown.
Still an incredible deep threats.
Still incredible speed for De Sean Jackson.
They got the best offensive line, the best weapons, the best quarterback in the division.
They got a really good defense.
The Eagles are gonna be very good this year.
I haven't going 12 and four going into the year.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was maybe 13 3 14 into Carson once.
Played like the empty Pete itself that he waas a couple years ago before injuring his knee.
Um, being able to come back from that kind of deficit, Mom and second half was very, very.
Showed a lot for the Eagles.
Love Carson wants.
Love the offense.
Best weapons in the division may be the best.
Weapons may be the best team all together in the NFC, really, When it's all said and done, the ranch might have something to say about that.
I'll buy into the Eagles more than I buy into the Rams.
The Eagles are number two right now. Number one.
We all know who it is. It's the New England Patriots.
They beat a bum Pittsburgh, as they always do, and then when you look at the great offense that they have with Michelle and White running back Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon.
They add Antonio Brown to that.
Mix the trade to Marius Thomas today for a six round picks of the Jets.
Um, so they're really they seem to really, really be buying into the whole Abie project.
Um, so we'll see how that goes, especially if they play.
They play Miami this week.
I think I'll set the over under 300 points for the Patriots.
Um, I just don't know who's gonna slow them down.
Um, the Steel was winning their division this year, and they just beat them by 30.
And they added Antonio Brown to that, so I don't know it was gonna be able to slow them down.
I think Kansas City will give him a game.
I still think the Patriots of Wind would not surprise me at all if they didn't lose a game this year.
This is the most talented team, and the Brady Belichick era was more talented than the 07 team with Randy Moss.
This is more talented that any of the Super Bowl winning seems, um, you gotta tip your take your caps of Bella Shack for getting a B to get there.
But I would not be surprised in the least if they didn't lose a game this year.
Pages are loaded, and as much as we hated, you know, we have to admire the greatness of the Patriots.
They're the number one team will exit a recap.
If you're just joining us, you missed anything.
Producing the stream.
The power rankings for Week one.
The Vikings, the Ravens, Packers, Rams, Chargers, Saints, Cowboys, Chiefs, Eagles, Patriots, the top 10 teams and football.
I want to give an honorable mention to the Houston Texans.
Though John Watson played out of his mind last night.
I think he is the most underrated player in football, especially at the most important position.
The Texans were very lost if you remember the quarterback care so that they were going through before Sean was in God there.
Um, you have to really appreciate what he's doing.
He did not deserve to lose that game last night.
He played phenomenal down the stretch, the late touchdown pass to Kenny Stills.
DeShaun Watson is going to have an M v p like season.
I think the Texans are gonna really light it up this year, especially in that division now weaker without Andrew Luck.
Keep an eye out for you, Shawn Watson.
Um, the guy who I really enjoy watching, um yeah, touchdown run last night where you just put life and limb aside and just do over Everybody laid on his back kind awkwardly slow to get up.
But DeShaun Watson played a hell of a game last night.
He didn't deserve to lose that game.
I love the Texans a lot.
A lot of people are going to say something.
I assume they're going to say something about the Titans.
I don't believe in the Titans quite yet.
Um, against Cleveland going into the fourth quarter and if not for a bunch of bigger may feel bad decisions tryingto get them back into the game with one throw.
Um, I think it still stays a close game, and they're not gonna play a team where they get three interceptions in the fourth quarter.
Again, off that decision making.
They're not gonna play a team that has 18 penalties again.
Their best offensive lineman gets ejected.
Um, so put context around things.
Marcus Mariota. 248 yards passing.
At least 90 of them came off of run after catch from Derrick Henry off the 70 yard screen pass for a touchdown and A J.
Brown had a 55 yard reception.
Or at least 30 of it, if not more was from run after catch.
So I don't believe Marcus Mariota is the answer.
And Tennessee, I don't think Tennessee is gonna do to much else this season.
We've seen a lot of crazy things.
Um, you know, usually there's a team each year.
No, a bad team will get a win over good team.
Miami beat New England last year and crazy circumstances, I get it.
But usually there's a team every year that will now be finishing near the bottom of the standings.
Here, gets a win over a good team, and I think this is gonna be the example of that.
A few people were high in Tennessee.
I wasn't one of them.
So if your team was left out of the rankings and you think that they deserve to be in, you can check out my Twitter.
You can leave a comment there, state your case.
