So I guess now you understand.
Watch coleslaw, and we're gonna stick to what we know.
Fundamentals infect me 1% better.
What's going on, guys? So here I am doing a live strain going over the Colts game against charges yesterday.
And while I'm here, I'm gonna go ahead and kind of do a little bit of a preview with the Texan Saints game later on.
Um, I'm not gonna go over the Raiders and Broncos game because, quite frankly, we played them later on this year.
And I'm more like, smother guys who know more about the Raiders and the Broncos, even though I do follow them.
There's some people out there that know a whole lot more about them than I do, and I'm definitely gonna be watching it because we have to play them.
The Colts do, but I will go over the Texas and the Saints because not only do we play both those teams will play Texas twice, but we also play the Saints and what Texas Division rival.
So I know that quite well already, even with some of the things that's gone over.
But first, let's go ahead and talk about yesterday's game, and I'm gonna tell you what.
There are a lot of naysayers out there that was calling the Indianapolis Colts trash especially, you know, Chargers fans who, um, quite frankly, I ain't gonna go too much into them because they're just like super fans that don't really know much about football.
They don't realize that that game could have.
Either way, it was chase off quickly, for God's sakes, right? I mean, a coin flip.
Uh, Nicole started off really bad offensively.
They weren't able to really get anything going.
I mean, they were running the ball.
Game 23 are to carry out of it.
And I was very happy that they stuck with running the football.
The Indianapolis schools, even though they were able to drives going, um, they were wearing that defense out, and that's what the running game does, right? So they warm out to the point.
Even though they were down two scores in the third quarter, it got to the point where charges defense was just so beat up and tired they could not stop.
It calls for nothing, and Marlon Mack was just having his way.
You know every time he caught grabbed the ball, he was getting 56 yards, a carry warm.
Or there was even a run, you know, 55 daughter that he busted out for a touchdown.
So its arms went right up in the air because, quite frankly, that was his longest.
Running is three year career.
This offensive line is potent, and you can't expect then tow.
Have great rushing results in the first half because both teams are playing off the motion of a booth fired up.
I mean, if you're getting for York carry in the first quarter, I will a game or not.
It's great, right? So I think the Colts running game has established that even though they're gonna go into again any game.
And the other team knows for a fact that you are that the Colts are going to try to run it against them, that the Colts can still do.
So even knowing that that's what's going to happen that says a lot.
Um, the Chargers didn't seem to be all that scared of percent.
Um, they should have, quite frankly, uh, but percent show he was really good.
He had a very good person issuing football.
I had 1% that hiring 1st 1 is something thing that I've had a knock on him ever since.
He cuticles and I.
He does have a rope.
He he throws a laser being football.
It doesn't matter how far away the receiver is when he's Rose that bowl, it's gonna be a leader, and he doesn't know how you get okay that Jacoby percent is able to figure out how it ease up on that football a little bit because Jacqueline for sound went right off his helmet and then stop and complete could have been, you know.
But thankfully, it wasn't.
It's just an incomplete, hopefully, percent.
One thing that was so bad to see on his it was actually played mind, literally, he could hope.
Pines Mall, Toronto Perception.
Never through that, even though it was designed to go him perception, it just took off of direction.
In my opinion, it just looked for somebody, and if no one was available, just take off running or throw it away.
It was a very bad decision to go ahead and give it to him, other than the other than those two points per cent had an excellent game.
If you disagree with me or you agree with me, go ahead.
Say something down there in the Chats online.
Welcome, everybody that's here.
Um really, really love doing these.
And I really love representing the Unwrap Sports Network.
So shout out to them Go check out unwrapped sports networks Page here on Sportscaster And I also want to thank sportscaster themselves for allowing me to do these live video streams.
One of my greatest things that I I found that I actually do it.
Moreland Mac. Holy crap.
Anyone says Marlon Mac is not a running back to needs to go back and watch this game, right? Marlon Mack had, like 25 carries, 175 yards.
He averaged seven yards to carry against a defense that knew he was going to run the football on them.
And it wasn't just the offensive line.
That 50 yard run.
He broke a tackle and then broke a shoestring tackle.
In order to get into that insult, he saw the end zone and, you know he was not going to be denied.
So, Marlon, Matt, uh, he's ableto get skinny and powers way through his yards after contact is outstanding.
So I think Marlin is going to surprise a lot of people granted other other players out there had outstanding games, too, at the running back position.
Not going to really name a whole lot of names.
Um, but Matt Mac, it's someone I feel.
Even though a lot of people wanted Levian Bell, there was some chatter about Melvin Gordon earlier in the preseason.
Things of that nature, Matt and the old line proved that is absolutely not needed.
Not for the Colts.
Wide Receiver Group.
They played well, Not a lot of drops.
I'm not putting that drop on Jack the oil on Jack Doyle.
That those 2% a size zero more of a you know, for a laser guy, uh, you have enough time to really just to the football.
But, um, obviously, that that's great.
Who was That was the theme Heinz, who made a block for t y to go down the sideline and make a make that touchdown had he not blocked out that safety downfield for team like to run around the outside of you.
I would have made that touchdown.
So shout out to the he mind he did a heck of a job.
Most people think behind us.
That's a little scatback guy, that you could just pitch it out to out out in the Open.
Can't really do a whole lot.
But because the Colts have Tom Rathmann as their running backs coach, he emphasizes blocking so much these running backs know how to do that? UM, offensive line? Can't say a lot percent was under pressure that much A couple sacks on him.
Bosa had a heck of a game.
Ingram had a good game.
But what can you expect? Both an Ingram together.
Very, very potent combination, especially those times when they lined up side by side each other.
If I line, that was how he blocked that right.
You have the right place at the right time, taping something like that like a little quit drinking.
If you know that they're both coming in that direction.
Otherwise ice you pretty much a guarantee of your quarterback.
Your quarterback's gonna get under pressure defensively.
Defensively, I was split.
There was some bright spots.
The defensive line played outstanding when it came to pressuring the quarterback.
Philip Rivers is a top five quarterback in this league.
I don't care what you say.
There's a lot of people out there who don't think he's a top five quarterback.
He is absolutely a top by quarterback, and he has been in the league for a while, so he knows how to deal with pressure.
Tomiko Toray, Arkady Mohammed, Justin Houston.
Those guys were getting pressure on him all the time.
For Nico, to Ray could have had on extra second and strip on his resume besides the already sacked that he had had it not been for your, uh, Justin Houston just jumping that line, just just like 1/5 of a second too soon.
He was trying to Yeah, adjusted.
That's that count.
You know? He was trying to guess it and then jump and you jump just a hair too soon.
Had he not that big a lattice Strips still ended up with four sacks on the game.
I can't really complain for facts if you If you total that up at 64 sacks in the season, that's that's like legally getting stuff.
So yeah, not not complaint people sex on the game.
Tons of pressure.
It's just the thing is, is Rivers knows how to deal with pressure away when he knows how to get rid of it to his outlets, like his one Max who? Let's admit it, Austin.
I'm working on it.
Who expected all second game? I didn't.
Austin Meckler was that guy that Philip Rivers Rivers knew was going to be there when he was under pressure was able to do it all to him, and Explorer was able to make some serious stuff happened.
And that's why I, uh, one of the bad things I didn't like was the linebacking corps of the Colts derricks, Leonard, Bobby Ocurre IKI, even Anthony Walker that they all a lot of times on those little quick outside of running backs and wide receiver screens and things of that nature, they would get caught up in the wash, right.
And for those of you who don't understand that term, the wash is basically where the offensive line of defense of line are fighting each other at the line of scrimmage, and that is the wash where you get caught up and you can get boxed in there even though you ain't got someone on me on you, you're trying to get to where the play is that you have to kind of weed way in it now and you're trying to get it is just like you, all the the washer doing and all the laundry and stop wishing around.
It's hard to kind of maneuver your way around that.
So you're getting caught up in that wash.
The linebackers got caught up in the wash, which did not happen a lot last year, and that's why they were able to make a lot of place last year in games this year they did.
I don't know if that was designed by the Chargers that it was that was excellent by them.
Otherwise, it's just something that letter and Walker and Oak Creek you're just gonna have to adjust to and get better on as the season progresses.
Uh, the cornerbacks did pretty good for the most part.
Corner backs and safeties.
I mean, King and Alan had his hat hiss receptions and you expected it was going to reverse the Allen is is a heck of Ah uh, that's a heck of a combo.
It it's kind of like the way you know.
Lucked O d Y waas almost.
But Ellen had a few good receptions, but he was.
He was pretty limited.
He had one big one.
Williams had a reception or two, and for the most part, to my absolute surprise, because I honestly thought 100 Henry was gonna have a day on the Colts because the Colts historically are not very good against tight ends.
But the Colts had Quincy Wilson on him for most of the day that I what I could tell him he shut him down most of the day and so proper Quincy Wilson.
Uh, he didn't have his first catch.
That's far as I know his even first target until halfway through the third quarter.
So you know the corners.
The corner did a pretty decent job.
Most half of that offense came for most of her, um, the safeties gators again, one of those guys who seemed to get caught up in the wash.
But Malik Hooker, when it was time to step up, stepped up right that interception in the back of the end zone with a thing of beauty, and Philip Rivers had a receiver wide open back in the end zone, known within five yards of Rifled it in there and Malik hookers, athleticism and speed.
Close that five yards without one hand and smack that ball with this hand like a crow on the ball like a wonderful We just snagged and just took off with the arms or the direction it was.
I mean, well, it's impressive.
It was something that weeks back did Hooker to be doing ever since he was drafted.
Number 16 to 2 years ago.
Um, he's just been injured, and now he's not injured.
And he's feeling free and healthy and able to play to his full extent, his full ability.
And expect Maur plays like that later on in the season.
A lot of people going down the special teams.
Okay, so special teams outside of our field goal kicker and we'll get to him in a minute.
Outside of field goal kicker actually get pretty good.
I mean, they recovered a muffed punt.
Uh, which was a very good job the other night.
I mean, they played coverage pretty well.
Uh, Rigoberto Sanchez had a blocked punt.
I can't put that on him that was Mme.
Or actually the other team of San Diego Special teams gets problem that over, Uh, the Colts Special teams Protection unit, Uh, getting hit because after looking over that play guy that got through there just did an absolute excellent play getting in there and making something happen.
So props to them, they get a great job.
Let's go talk about Adam military because Adam Military There's a lot of chatter on Twitter about the colts.
Need cut out of military and go sign somebody That is absolute garbage talk.
Okay, I'm going to explain why everything out of military did he missed accuracy.
Waas it all just shake just off just a little bit off.
That's nothing to do with age.
You get older, you you lose your leg power.
You don't lose your actors.
What this was was just an off day by a kicker who's had problems in the preseason adjusting with an injury that he had.
Okay, Does faith in the greatest hitter of all time because he had one off day in his curveball rear right.
Hey, didn't have rejected Kansas City and divisional round, but wasn't that? Is this game, and he's just a little rusty.
I could see that.
You know, little, uh, little problem trying to get down back Thio his normal cell.
I believe it's because actually come back in and become, uh, not next week.
You know, I think you should be able to get this has been here doing that.
So he's gonna have no problem just for getting in this game, the city game, and we're gonna be accurate.
So don't think that because of his age, they're kicking.
I fixed your goggles, but I'm perfectly caving 40 insured.
I thought from the Colts game, I think there was a lot of hospitals offensively.
I think the Colts going on for the rest of the season are absolutely, perfectly fine.
Even with percent at the helm, I think they show that they, uh, play bury tough, even against a Super Bowl contending football team.
No one expected this game to go into overtime right and get and get decided, basically, on a coin flip.
The ball was in school and everybody knew that because charge of passing the calls were having all kind of all stopping it, and the charges could not something Colts running game for absolute nothing.
So you knew whoever got the ball in overtime was going to win this game? I'm gonna move on now.
We're going to talk.
Like I said earlier, I'm not gonna talk about the Broncos and Raiders on Let some other guys talk about that.
I'm gonna focus on a team that I know quite a bit about.
And that's the Houston Texans and the team that they're gonna have to play against tonight.
The New Orleans Saints.
My biggest question is, can the Houston Texans knew improved offense? I'm going to say that because it is definitely improved with firepower.
Keep up with the New Orleans Saints.
Very, very explosive offensive team.
Because the Saints, I mean, Drew Brees toe Michael Thomas has always been dangerous, right? Always been a top five hook up in the NFL, at least last few years of Mara has shown what kind of player he really is, and he's gonna be dangerous.
And then, of course, they acquired Jared Cook, who is known to be a really good receiving tight end.
So Drew Brees and that offense is gonna put up some points even against this Houston defense who hasn't really good front seven and Cem.
Pretty darn solid.
Don't Don't take what he y Hilton has done. Just Houston.
He just he knows that seem very long at all times.
Drop the gun you're gonna play.
That has to do with being two trials.
But the Houston Texans no longer have to debut in clowning, right? He's over there and see holes.
All they have really is, you know, superstar J. J. Watt.
All they have is J.
J. What? Whatever. Okay.
J J. Watt is a beast.
Even his age, even with the injury history.
Ah, he's still going to be focused by this New Orleans Saints.
They are gonna be clean, double guys on him.
They're gonna have to.
Otherwise, he's just dominated and telling you I've seen it happen.
Um, but the Texans can offensively keep up with the Saints, in my opinion, because of the new buttons they have, right? They just went out and traded first round pick and a few other things and got Laramie tonsil and Kenny Stills.
They needed someone at left tackle.
Guess what? Tonsil is a top five left tackle in the NFL solid guy, right? And they needed that.
Help. Help for Tech.
DeShaun Watson has protection.
He could tear some stuff up.
You know, he's able toe when he's got a moment to look over defense and read it.
He could make a decision on whether or not he wants to throw that football and make D hop.
He doesn't have to rely on jihad making stupid, outrageous ketchup when he's got time.
Okay, when he's got time, he could look for other people out there to make plays.
And now he's gotta do Johnson, Carlos Hyde, it running back.
Both these guys have proven so far in their young NFL careers.
Vacant actually provide a big boost, and I could see Houston using them is attack team, right? I don't know if if the Texans have named one as a Bell call back, but I don't see him actually being a belt pal back.
I see then keeping them in and out, keeping their legs fresh, right, keep so that they're able to have a 100% running back at all times.
I mean, I could see one guy being in there for one drive and then the next drive.
Different running back.
But yeah, I think the Texans could absolutely keep up with this New Orleans Saints offense.
And I could see this being up will shoot out.
I could see 16 maybe even 70 points total on the board in this Texan Saints game.
Do you go with me if you do, if you don't let me know.
So down in the comments.
But, hey, I'm gonna tell you what I'm done fighting on on what I'm looking for in the Texas Saints game.
It was also how I viewed the Colts lost last night.
