Come one, come all.
We got a victory Monday show Today.
We got a victory Monday Pot.
Ah, Victory Monday.
Happy Monday to you.
My name is Keith McPherson.
This is How about him, as in, How about them Cowboys? And we actually have something to celebrate today.
We actually can smile a little bit today.
I think it's the last win of the season.
I hope it's the last win of the season, but applaud them.
Cowboys collapse for them Cowboys.
They got it done in a game that you were supposed to win 10 times out of 10.
The Dallas Cowboys handle business in Andy Dalton's return to Cincinnati.
Ah, place that he spent his first eight years of his career and called home.
The Texas boy returns with the Dallas Cowboys, returns wearing the blue and white.
Does this thing does what he's got to do and leads the Cowboys to victory.
Andy Dalton came out very accurate to start that game.
I think he was something like 11 or 14 to start off.
He was very accurate.
No turnovers, no pics.
And, uh, you gotta love it.
Speaking of turnovers and picks.
What got into that Dallas defense yesterday? Three fumbles recovered.
3/4 3 Recovered.
Aldon Smith, Jalen Smith, Jordan Lewis, Aldon Smith Scooping score.
Aldon Smith can run that far.
I thought he was gonna fall.
You love to see it.
The defense actually look.
And like, they wanna play looking like they could stop someone.
Obviously, this is the Bangles without Joe Burrow.
This is the two and 10 Bangles with Brandon Allen.
And this is what you expected, right? The Cowboys were only three point favorites here.
I think in most of my parlays, which I didn't hit, but most of my parlays, I took the Cowboys winning by a touchdown or more.
I knew they weren't gonna lose this game.
It would have been a really sad and bad day today and yesterday if the Cowboys somehow lost this game.
So let's look at this game a little bit.
I am happy today.
Like I said, we're celebrating a victory Monday.
Win right there.
Boom, bom bing, boom, bom bom Bing.
It's a victory Monday.
Be happy about that, but also with the Steelers lost last night.
We still have the number four pick.
I'm pretty sure I saw that on Twitter earlier today.
Follow me on Twitter and look at my list.
Hashtag Cowboys Twitter.
But I'm pretty sure I saw a tweet that said, We still hold the number four pick in the draft after winning yesterday, which is great and which makes sense.
And I think that's where we're gonna land because there's only a few more weeks left.
It's gonna be the Jets number one.
The Jags number two, The Bangles number three.
Hopefully, the Cowboys number four.
I wanna be picking inside the top five.
Um, just because of the draft capital that that's gonna give us There are a lot of quarterbacks coming, and I think the first two quarterbacks they're gonna be taken off the board.
Trevor Lawrence to the Jets, Justin Fields to the Jaguars.
And then there's gonna be teams trying to get the best defensive player off the board.
The best offensive lineman off the board, the best corner, the best D tackle, maybe the best safety, depending on how the mock drafts and stuff shake up.
I'm already thinking about that because this season was lost a soon as we lost number four Dak Prescott and I started thinking about What do we need to do in the draft to make this team better? It's not get a quarterback.
There's no reason to try and play that game off.
Oh, well, we can reset the quarterback clock, weaken franchise, tagged AC for a year, draft the quarterback and know most likely the two top quarterbacks and Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields will be off the board.
Then you got the guy, Trey Lance, out of North Dakota State.
You got the kid out of BYU.
You got Mac Jones, who might be the Heisman winner, but I don't think those go.
Those guys go in the top four picks, and I **** sure don't want the Cowboys taking them.
So with that being said, let's look at the game yesterday, right? Let's look at some stats that came from this game yesterday.
Andy Dalton to start off 16 of 23 with two touchdown passes, a 1 22 rating, a 67.
That's all we need out of you, Andy Dalton against a bum team like the Bengals, your former team in the revenge game.
Go out there and score some points.
The defense scored some points.
We only gave up seven.
I'm cool with that.
Running the ball.
Ezekiel Elliott had a long run of 26 1 of his longest runs of the year.
12 carries, 48 yards average.
0, on the on the ground, four yards per carry.
That's all right.
Tony Pollard had some good kick returns and he had some good carries.
11 carries for 39 yards, averaging 3.
5 on the ground Longest 17.
I'm cool with that.
Receiving a Mari Kuperman Mark Cooper, still getting his money's, were still getting in the end zone, Still running those sharp routes.
He's, you know, $100 million man, that I'm not exactly like.
You know, I talk a lot on here about how we paid the wrong guys, and a lot of times when I say we paid the wrong guys, I speak on a Z Q.
Elliott getting paid early and getting paid that much is running back and Jaylin Smith getting paid early and under performing as a linebacker.
But one guy that I don't throw in there too much is a Mari Cooper one.
Because when we traded that first round pick, you knew you had to pay a Marquis Cooper after trading a first round pick for him.
He was exactly what we needed that year two years ago, exactly what Doc needed.
And he's on Lee, 26.
So he's got some years to come and still be playing at a high level running, uh, Justus.
Fast as he runs as hard as he runs, I think he's on Lee going to get better.
He's already great running routes.
Um, can't wait to see him and jacket back, but he let us four catches 51 yards with one touchdown along a 25 targets.
Five targets, four catches.
I'm cool with that.
Dalton Schultz was the next guy.
Three targets, three catches, 34 yards and, uh, my guy CD Lamb on Lee to catches.
But he had a long A 32 2 catches for 46 yards on two targets.
Hey, catch the targets.
You know in this Andy, don't let offense.
If you get an opportunity to catch the ball, catch it and do something with it.
We already talked about the fumbles.
Great to see guys getting turnovers and capitalizing on them, creating turnover, creating turnovers and taking the ball to the ends on the score swings.
It gave us points.
Jalen Smith led all tacklers with 11 tacklers.
Rashard Robinson, getting some work out there had nine total tackles.
Keep pushing along.
Keep doing your thing. Had seven tackles.
Who else had a decent day? Jordan Lewis.
I will say, out of all our DBS, Jordan Lewis will come up and hit.
He's not a big guy, but he's not afraid to tackle our DBS Air hurt. Right now.
We're running out.
Rookies were running out guys with not a lot of experience, but they they figured out how to get it done against the Bengals.
And that's all that I could really ask for Now, I said there was no pics.
There were some fumbles on their end, Um, in the kicking game.
Greg Zuerlein perfect 100% 3 for three on his extra points, three for three on his field goals.
Let's take a look at the team stats.
Pretty close, but we edged them out. Two first downs.
Uh, 16 Thio are They edged us out with two more first downs in us, uh, 18 to our 16 total plays.
They had 70 plays to our 50.
Didn't really matter too much total yards They had 309 toe are 2 72 now.
That's still kind of rough for this defense, right? Uh, if you ask me, Mike Nolan, you can't fire him after, ah, win like this.
But we do have some NFC East, actually, the whole NFC East on our schedule.
We'll talk about the schedule and a bit.
Uh, the only team actually not on our schedule is the Redskins.
We've played twice already, but we have the Eagles coming up who now have Jalen hurts.
They just beat the best defense in the NFL in the Saints.
They're looking to roll off and get some wins.
The New York Giants, who lost yesterday to Kyler Murray, but their defense is solid.
Daniel Jones just I don't think was ready to be back in action.
The kid had a hammy and a lot of his game is relying on him being able to run and make plays with his legs so that, you know, took out part of his game.
The kid wasn't ready to roll, but I think he will get healthy over the next couple of weeks.
And when we play the Giants, it's gonna be tough.
I would love to see Mike Nolan fired before the season, and I just feel like heads half the role When you accept this record, when you accept this kind of play and no one is held accountable for it, it makes it seem and feel like this is acceptable.
This is not that bad.
No, it is bad for Mike McCarthy's first year to go this way.
It's bad, and I'm not really on the Mike McCarthy bandwagon at all.
Like I'm not a fan.
I'm not someone that's saying he deserves to get another year.
I would be fine with them, blowing it up and firing this whole coaching staff, to be honest, to be completely honest, maybe not Kellen Moore, but everybody else can go okay.
Back Thio yards per play.
We beat him in yards per play passing yards.
They the Bengals beat us in passing yards, 208 passing yards, 271 passing yards rushing was dead, even 101 on the ground for both teams.
Now, when you look at the penalties, we have five penalties for 30 yards.
They had three penalties for 25 so we have three more penalties than them, but only five more yards.
Turnovers is where this game was won and lost.
Without those three turnovers, it actually might have been a closer game without those three turnovers.
I think this game could have been more like 17 14 or 17 10 time of possession.
The Bengals had the ball for 34 minutes, 41 seconds.
The Cowboys had the ball for 25 minutes 19 seconds.
When you look at this box score, the only thing that lets you know why the Cowboys one is those three turnovers, because the Bengals fumble the ball three times and we recovered all three times.
That's one mo mentum early and that swung the points early.
Other than that, these air too bad teams thes air two teams that are struggling these air two teams that are not good and honestly, the Cowboys had to win this game.
But let's look at the upcoming schedule, because I think that's it.
Enjoy this, this last victory Monday.
I think it's our last victory Monday.
I hope it's our last victory Monday, and let's look at the schedule coming up as a current currently stands the Cowboys Air four and nine.
We have the 40 Niners coming to town next Sunday.
This is the game that everyone knows about because it got flexed from Sunday Night Football so that the world can watch the Giants versus the Bears, which that's that's a new low for us.
Uh, but the 40 Niners, I think, are a good team.
As far as like their coaching and their execution, they don't have all of their guys know they don't have Jimmy Garoppolo.
They don't have George Kittle.
They don't have Nick Bosa, but they have enough good players on that team to figure out how to beat Dallas.
And I think Dallas takes a loss this Sunday.
Then I already spoke on Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.
What a boost that kid gave them.
Miles Sanders came out and said he's a natural born leader and we needed that.
So I think it's pretty much a done deal there that the Eagles will close the rest of the season with Jalen Hurts.
They were able to beat the Saints.
Ah, lot of people have the Saints going to the Super Bowl.
The Saints were rolling.
That is the best defense in the NFC.
Uh, some people have.
It is the best defense in the NFL.
They got beat by Jalen Hurts, I guess, because you can't scheme for somebody that you haven't really seen. Right.
When the Saints are in the film room, they're watching Carson Wentz run all the plays.
When they step on the field, Jalen Hurts runs the place.
And you know what? Jalen hurts.
Hurts him with his legs.
He rushed for 100 yards.
He threw for like 120 but he rushed for 106 and those plays that he had on the ground where the plays that really stung the Saints defense they were back breakers.
They were plays where you think you got the guy contained.
You think the play is covered? You think the play is dead? No.
He runs out similar toe Kyler Murray Collar.
Murray did that to the Giants all day yesterday, so I expect us to lose to the Eagles, Um, on the Sunday after Christmas that will also be in Jerry World.
And then the last game of the year.
Three days into the new year, the Dallas Cowboys will be playing right outside my window at Met Life Stadium.
They will come here to visit the New York football Giants that play in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and I expect the Giants to win because I think this game will have implications on whether they win the division or not, and where they will be seated or not, whether it be seated there, it will be whether they get in the playoffs or not.
Um, I think the division will be on the line in that last week of the season, and I expect the Cowboys to just lose.
Um, they might go out there and try and win because it's the best.
It's the last game of season.
Then they're gonna try and, you know, give their best.
But there's no point.
Let the Giants fight, maybe potentially go on to the postseason and represent the NFC least and lose in the first round.
Um, I don't see any point in the Cowboys winning, so I think the Cowboys final record will come out to four and 12.
We were four and 12 when we got the number four pick and drafted Ezekiel Elliott in 2016.
It's deja vu again, but this time we cannot, and I repeat, absolutely cannot draft offensive player a running back.
You know, it's gotta be defense.
I think everyone can look at this defense and understand that we need to take the best defensive player off the board or put a package together to entice another team toe.
I don't know, trade us a safety, right? The Cowboys safety play has been atrocious.
We need a actual like leader of the defense at safety to come in.
I would like that to be a veteran.
There are guys like Simmons.
There are guys like I think Smith from Simmons from the Broncos.
Smith from, uh, the Vikings.
I don't know why I'm drawing a blank on their names, but there are some safeties out there that we could pick up in free agency potentially with this pick because, like I said, they were gonna be plenty of teams looking for quarterbacks, looking for topics.
And we're gonna try and secure this top five pick in the draft, which we could trade back, have more draft capital and literally take the best defensive player off the board in every round.
Can the Cowboys do that? Do I trust the Cowboys front office to get that done? Not really, but in theory, right now, it sounds good.
So lose out, lose out and, uh, keep it pushing into the off season, where we will get some time for Mike McCarthy to work with this team.
And hopefully next year is a regular preseason where we get those games to ramp ramp up.
We get those games to jail.
We get those games, too.
Figure this thing out on Bond.
Like I said, there's no point, right? People are talking about Dak possibly leaving.
No, Dak is not leaving.
We need to get his contract settled on.
We need to build this defense.
I would like to see some defense of talent come in as rookies and some free agents added to this, and I think that could happen But I don't I don't know how much I trust Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones to get it done.
They're stuck in their own ways.
These guys just I don't know.
They think they know everything, and they do things on their own will.
And it's tough when your owner is also the G M.
I feel like the Cowboys need a really GM to come in and say hello.
This is how you do it.
You know, maybe someone with some experience elsewhere that can come in and say, Hey, this is how you build a defense And then we better go out and look for the best defensive coordinator available.
There are a few of them in the league, some of these defensive coordinators right now.
We'll go on to be head coaches, but we should find the best defensive coordinator out there.
Andi, I think it's possible.
Now let's look at where I had picks yesterday.
I guess we'll look at my pics where I was wrong and where I was right? I'm done betting, Um, I have not hit a parlay since like Week six, so there's literally no point in me betting anymore.
um, where the scores.
We pull up the scores.
If you watch the show yesterday, right Sunday morning, I always like to do a pick Him always like to throw out there who I think are locks.
I thought the same as being the Eagles was locked.
But, hey, any given Sunday? That's how it goes.
And I mean, my fantasy teams.
They're both about to be done.
I am off football.
If you're watching this, you probably know I'm a Nets fan and it is.
It is full on Nets time like we've never seen the Nets like That was the most hype for a pre season game that I think I've ever felt or seen Kevin Durant stepping back on the court.
But anyway, in my first picks, in the first of my picks that I had, where are my notes now? I got to score up.
Yeah, here we go.
So in that Dolphins Chiefs game, honestly, I literally felt like at the end they were going back and forth for the spread.
So the Chiefs win by six because the Dolphins were able to drive and get a late field goal to make it 27 or 23 27.
The spread was 7.5.
I told you yesterday, take the Dolphins plus 7.
5 because that defense, that defense frustrated Pat Mahomes.
That defense cause some turnovers that you don't usually see.
I was right there. Correct.
Let me add to my notes.
I was right because a win by six by the Chiefs does not cover the Dolphins covered.
Okay, The next one, I didn't know which way to go with this one.
I think I ended up taking the measly Giants, but I didn't take him in any of my party.
I think I told you.
Take the Giants plus three.
I thought their defense was gonna be able to do something they did not.
They lost by a bunch, so that was incorrect.
Giants plus three.
And I'm just going off of what I wrote in my notes, I think is what I said.
Titans minus eight against the Jags.
Of course, that was correct.
They won by like, 21 Vikings.
I told you, take the Vikings plus seven.
That was incorrect.
But this game was not a blowout.
This game could have went a few different ways.
The final score was 26 14.
Dan Bailey missed field goals.
Let's see, let's go toe box score and see just how bad Dan Bailey is.
And, yes, I'm rubbing it in.
And yes, I'm making this.
Ah, point, because Dan Bailey used to be automatic Dan the man and kick for your Dallas Cowboys.
We moved on from him, and, uh, Dan Bailey went Oh for three kicking field goals yesterday.
So there's nine points and then he makes missed an extra point.
So there's 10 points if you add 10 points to that score.
The final score is 26 24 and the Vikings would have covered.
So I told you, take the Vikings plus seven, and that was incorrect.
But that falls on Dan Bailey **** belly if you hit.
If you hit two of those three field goals and one extra point, there's the seven points moving on Houston.
Houston was a half point favorite in this game.
I don't know what it waas.
Maybe Matt Nagy got his stuff together.
Maybe, uh, the number two pick and Mitchell Robiskie realized Listen, this is a team we could be.
We got to come out and prepare better.
David Montgomery took a, uh, you know, Ah, run to the house that I like.
It was like a 80 yard run or something.
It seemed like that guy was locked and ready to play, but I was incorrect and telling you to bet on the show on watching.
I kind of just thought Watson was gonna have a revenge game.
If you follow me on Twitter, I tweeted out the slate of revenge games yesterday.
Andy Dahlen versus the Bengals.
Alex Smith versus the Niners.
Um, Malcolm Jenkins versus the Eagles.
Markus Golden versus the Giants.
He had a fumble recovery.
Who else am I forgetting out there? Jamal Adams versus the Jets? And then I said, Throw into Shawn Watson versus the Bears for not picking him.
That was incorrect. Houston.
End of getting smoked.
And I just feel for DeShaun Watson because he has to go out there without his top three targets.
Let's start with DeAndre Hopkins, who he lost because of Bill O Brien.
Then he lost Will Fuller because of PDS, and then he lost Brandon cooks.
I think because of illness or injury.
So guys out there by himself.
He threw a touchdown pass to Jordan.
Akins that hit him in the hands.
Lost it in the sun.
Shawn Watson is out there, literally by himself.
I think they should just shut it down and let a J.
McCarron rock the rest of the way, just for health reasons like it would be brutal.
The C D Shawn lots and go down late in the season.
This season, when he's got none of his weapons, it would be a waste of time.
What's up, Lawrence? Let's see what Lawrence is talking about.
Cowboys went out, but Washington wins the division.
That would be your worst nightmare.
That will not happen to, Ah, impossible.
But will most likely happen is well, right now.
The Giants, the Giants would have the tiebreaker over the Redskins because they beat them twice.
I'm not exactly sure what the Giants remaining schedule is, but they do have the Cowboys in that last week. Let's see.
Oh, the Cowboys are the Giants.
Before they play the Cowboys in the last week of the season, the Giants have to play the Browns and the Ravens they just lost to the Cardinals.
I think they're about to lose three in a row.
They should lose to the Browns and they should lose to the Ravens, and then they'll have the Cowboys.
So right now the Giants, air five and eight, they would be walking into that game against the Cowboys at five and 10.
I think it's Washington's division.
I think it's Washington's division at six and 10.
The Giants would hold the tiebreaker against Washington.
I'm trying to find Washington's record.
Washington already has six wins.
Um, that was a big game for them yesterday.
Washington is six and seven.
Okay, Washington has the Seahawks, who they could be the Panthers, who they could be in the Eagles, who they could be.
So, in my opinion, the Washington football team is your 2020 NFC least champs.
Of course, they would be in their first year without a name.
Of course, the football team is going to go into the playoffs under Ron Rivera in his first year and represent the worst division in football.
I am fine with that.
Back to our picks, Cowboys minus three.
Correct? Of course.
They won by 23 an Thurs.
I had minus 3.5.
I don't know why I like this whole season.
I've had faith in the Panthers.
I've had faith in the Panthers. I haven't.
One week, they battle with the Chiefs, and I have faith in him.
The next week they come out and just flat out lose and suck and don't look like anything.
So that wasn't correct.
The Bronco showed me something.
Uh, Tim Patrick K J Handler.
Jerry Judy is like third fiddle out there, but he's gonna be good overtime if Drew Lock is the guy out there, man.
You know Melvin Gordon, Run the ball.
I think the Broncos have something. Their defense.
They've got some guys.
They need to get Von Miller back, but the Broncos go out and win that one.
So I was incorrect there.
Now, the Jets I had I don't know why I had just the spread, I think is the spread was so large, I had the Jets minus 16.
They covered like a 15 14 point spread last week against the Raiders.
But gotta listen to myself.
What do I say? It is week to week.
You can't base it off of last week at all.
Last week's match ups last week spread is week to week.
The Seahawks were not about to let the other New York football team come in and beat them at home After losing to the Giants at home, they hung 40 on the Jets.
Who? Hu man like I was so wrong taking the Jets that the Jets are done.
But I just thought my logic was Listen, that offense now, with Sam Donald back a couple of weeks have started to get rolling.
That Seahawks defense is suspect, But yeah, they did.
They did exactly what they had to do.
They had they handled business.
Okay, now the Colts.
I actually had the Colts in a couple of parlays, and I had them like minus six, minus seven.
I knew they were just the better team.
I I knew that the Colts were not going to go into this Vegas game and played down to the Raiders.
I knew that they were just the overall better team.
Jonathan Taylor had a huge day and 44 to 27.
That means it's not close.
It might have seemed close in the beginning, but it wasn't close. The Colts.
With the Colts minus 2.5.
They covered by what? 34? They covered by 17 points.
She's the Colts, man.
The culture, like like as the as the A F C is taking shape, right? And as we see the Bills beat the Steelers last night.
We see the chief struggle a little bit with the Dolphins but ultimately handled business in the A F C. It's Bills.
Maybe the Steelers.
Maybe the Colts.
Maybe the grounds that's about it for me, I don't know.
There's about four teams in the A F.
I think it's between the Chiefs, the Bills, Steelers, the Colts, depending on how the playoffs shake out with this added wild card in this by, you know, I think the Chiefs they're gonna end up getting that by and that's huge in the playoffs.
We watched Tom Brady get that by and cakewalk.
The Patriots, the Super Bowl, multiple years, aan den in the NFC.
I think the ST showed us yesterday.
Like Taysom Hill.
He's a good he's not a good starting quarterback yet.
He's a good player, but after a few weeks of Fillmore out there on him and what he likes to do, what he can do, what he can do, someone's gonna drop a scheme to stop him And the, uh, the Eagles did.
Um, I was actually surprised with that.
That's my next pick.
I had the Saints minus 7.
5. That was incorrect.
If you heard me in the beginning of this, I talked about Jalen Hurts.
I talked about Mile Sanders.
I talked about the Philly Eagles just getting a boost of energy because they didn't have to listen to Carson Wentz in the huddle.
They got They got a boost of energy out of this rookie who has been here before.
Like this is a kid that, as a freshman started at Alabama, took him to the national championship as a sop****re, took them to the national championship, had to sit behind to a Hutu is in Miami doing this thing as a starter.
Now Jalen Hurts is a starter in Philly.
This kid works hard.
He's got a strong, lower body upper body, like they say, pound for pound.
He's you know the man, the gym think he's got a lot of experience and he made some throws yesterday where I'm like, this kid can sling it.
He's not just a runner, he is a quarterback, and you gotta look out for the Eagles with him in the future.
If he actually is a guy, if he actually is a guy, I think he can do more than Carson Wentz.
At this point, I open up ESPN today, and they have trade destinations for Carson Wentz, not even 24 hours after the first win by the backup quarterback.
Next game, Packers by nine did not happen.
I was incorrect about that.
They win 31 to 24 so seven, um, sucks.
But it is what it is.
That blue, one of my parlays Packers air still up there, though, and when we talk about teams in the A F C that could make it to the Super Bowl, I think the Packers are the team that will make it to the Super Bowl this year and represent the NFC.
Hopefully, we can get Pat Mahomes versus Aaron Rodgers, right, the goat and the baby goat or the boat as they called them Best of all time versus the baby boat.
Best of all time.
I would love to see that matchup.
Last but not least, I told you to take the Washington football team plus three against the Niners, and they end up winning by eight.
So that was correct.
I was about 50 50 this week.
Bills I told you to take minus two against the Steelers.
And then I told you, Take the Browns tonight.
I don't know why they're not favored there.
5 or they were plus 2.5.
Uh, now, that spread is Baltimore minus three.
But take the Browns tonight if you're betting that game.
All right? That is all I got for you here, folks.
It has been a good week in the NFL for your Dallas Cowboys.
We get a win, most likely the last win Victory Monday.
Have a good time and have a good week.
