So now that that we have shouted out some of stuff from Sports Network, let's get into the Packers victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13.
Sam The Packers advanced to nine and three with the 32 16 win.
They're one step closer to the NFC North Division title for the second consecutive year.
What were your thoughts on the Packers victory over the Philadelphia Eagle? I mean, I think I picked Davante Adams to go off, and he is.
He is the second best wider savior in the NFL on die before DeAndre Hopkins caught that, you know, triple coverage game winning past.
Um, I thought, you know, I thought Davante Adams was starting to make that margin closer.
But I obviously I think DeAndre Hopkins isn't on a whole other level, but, yeah, Devante.
And it was just proving why he's such a special player on there was a play.
It was a player to before they scored, um, their first or second touchdown on the goal line.
Um, I don't know if you remember it.
He bobbled the catch and like he like he was, he bobbled it and he felt end up catching it, like through his legs or something like that.
I don't know like that.
That, to me, was just unreal.
I mean, I think I was impressed with this when, um, like I said last week, This this team really doesn't scare me.
We talked to Ben about the Eagles last week and like people right quarterbacks, especially off because of one bad season, and you're not going to get a ton for whence, especially especially because what makes it tough is he's getting overpaid.
I think it's $128 million contract.
Um, and I have another friend that I always bring up and mention, Um, he's an Eagle Span and he's not a fan of Jalen hurts.
And at this point, he says he's fine with Jalen.
Hurts playing now because then now we can.
Everyone can see how bad Jalen hurts is.
I'm not seeing Jalen Hurts is already a bus, but I'm already going to stay on my side and say Jalen Hurts was a career Q B two.
Yeah, he threw his first NFL Tashaun pass.
Good for him for doing that, but he's not a starting count recorded back in my opinion.
Only way steam starting is obviously this situation that he's in right now with Carson Wentz really, really struggling on DNA now.
I think I think it was announced today.
Is he's going through season ending injuries? Um, I think they need to blow that team up.
I think Doug Peterson used to be fired, and I I've heard a few people say now all he's not going to be fired because they brought them a Super Bowl like three years ago.
Um, you like Packer fans you like to live in, you know, like to live in the past because Packer fans like myself.
I mean, we've done that.
We can admit it.
We've done that before, but I personally think they should get a defensive minded coach on.
I'm one of the guys I'm looking at is Robert Saleh.
And if they were, go get an offensive minded coach.
I think it should fire Howie Roseman.
They should hire John Dorsey because John Dorsey's name is heating up to GM rumors, and rumor has it he wants to bring Eric Bieniemy wherever he goes.
So if you have John Dorsey and Eric Bieniemy team up in Philly, I think that would be another match made in heaven for them.
But I like them going after a defensive minded coach.
But sorry to go off topic, um, that when was impressive, 30 to 16? Um, at the same time, they didn't really scare me.
I mean, there, that was probably like the 11 of those teams on the Packers schedule that I wasn't really.
I didn't really have any worries.
Yeah, definitely Good.
Good points there.
I think this this is a great win from the Green Bay Packers.
I think this upcoming match up Sam.
I think you mentioned it before.
Before we went on the stream.
The Packers clinched the NFC North.
If we beat the Lions and I think if Minnesota loses the Tampa Bay, if I'm not mistaken, correct? Yeah, I think it was if we were tie on Sunday and the Vikings offer Look it up.
But I know we can clinch this weekend.
We can clinch the North.
I'm pretty sure if it's if it's if it's if the Vikings lose, Um, the Vikings lose.
There might have been something with the Bears to, but I think it's yeah.
Yeah, because if the Vikings lose, they fall to six and seven.
Yeah, because the Vikings air six and six of the seven seed currently right now.
And if you're 10 3, even if we lose our final three, that's 10 6 and that zone.
When? So Crebase got kind of easy chance to win the NFC North this weekend, then how great would it be clinching it this early in week 14, knowing that knowing that you're at least in the postseason, I think that would be huge, huge for Green Bay because obviously last year with the rookie head coach.
We had a wait till near the end, week 16 before we kind of found out we were in the postseason, but for a week early 14.
Definitely alleviate pressure, and we've come on here every week, Matt, and talked about, like, our lack of confidence in this team because of these ugly winds.
Um, one game, specifically, the Jaguars, um, Vikings.
Dalvin cook right all over us.
But the NFC is wide open.
I mean, Tampa to me.
I still think in a rematch, I think the Packers can potentially beat the Buccaneers.
Seattle just lost to the Giants.
I have never I have never once said either.
I have never said, but neither of those teams were contending, Um, Tampa is an impressive team.
I think Tampa impresses me more than Seattle, and what I said a few weeks prior, I think, is before mid season or just after Tampa is on paper.
Tampa is better than Seattle, but Seattle was playing better at the time.
Um, but Seattle's defense really does not scare me at all.
Um, I guess the only part of that defense that could make that could cause havoc is, you know, Jamal Adams, but I don't see them locking them that locking him down long term.
I brought this up multiple times.
They failed one.
They were not in a position to trade for Jamal items.
They didn't need Jamal items.
Bradley McDougall was not a bad safety.
Obviously, he's not an elite safety, but he was a productive safety.
They should have trade for an edge rusher or they should have locked down Jadeveon cloudy.
I don't think this team is contending, Um, I would say the strongest team and the team to beat in the NFC right now is the ST regardless of, um regardless of Taysom Hill playing on not Drew Brees because Drew Brees is probably not gonna be Juburi.
I shouldn't say probably.
Drew Brees is not playing in the playoffs, unfortunately, but and I've always Taysom Hill is gonna win you games, but not a quarterback.
And I watched the Saints Falcons game game a few weeks back and Taysom Hill put on a show on.
I think this is really Taysom.
Hill's time to really show Sean Payton in that front office that he could be there.
Guy because I don't think Jamis Winston is their guy.
I think Jameis Winston's pulling a Teddy Bridgewater.
I think he's going to go somewhere and get a contract.
Um, and you know, maybe not to the point of uh huh, like a 3 to 4 year deal.
And Teddy is a three year deal.
But just because through this season, this many games, um, if you look back at last season, we saw Mawr of Teddy Bridgewater.
We haven't seen a ton of Jameis Winston, but I think James Winston's gonna go and get a job somewhere.
But I think this is really tasting hills time.
Um, you know, to really show those two shot to show Sean Payton and the in the front office that he could be there.
Guy, But the NFC is wide open, wide open.
You definitely make a lot of great great points there.
I think you're correct with e.
Think both of those teams he's or one of those teams where they'll maybe win a playoff game, but then they'll fall short.
You know, in the division round.
Now, here are some teams, I think, and Griffin has a good chance.
I mean, you and I, you know, throughout these strings, we've showed our highs and our lows on this team.
I think, as we're getting later on in the season weeks, 14 to 17, I think our hopes right now are starting to move up a little bit.
I mean, you look at I think in my humble opinion, I think the only teams that are going to give us a run of the NFC is the Saints for sure, which we did be the once before, which is good.
But I think this Saints team right now is way different than a week, way different than we played in a week three and and another team that I think could give us competition.
The L A Rams, I think I think the L A Rams with Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey and company I think could give the Packers fits.
Those are the teams that I kind of don't want to play in the playoffs.
If I were the Green Bay Packers, every other team, I like our chances.
I like our chances when we go up against Seattle because one Russell Wilson does not do well in Lambeau Field.
Whether it's with fans or no fans just having to travel up there in January to play play a playoff football.
I think that would be hard for anybody.
I like our chances like you, said Sam.
We did get throttled by them in Week six, but I think each of those teams were kind of in a different perspective.
Green Bay is starting to find their footing more on, and they're starting to get things going. And with a J.
Dillan coming back in the fold, that's gonna help evolve more of our offense more without Lazard returning.
That gives us another solid number two receiver behind even Adams and we look at Tampa Bay.
They're not really clicking like we thought they would be at this point of the season.
I mean, you look at New England and Tampa Bay almost have the same exact record.
I mean, who would have thought? I mean, we knew New England would struggle without Tom Brady at six and seven, but we would have never thought Tampa Bay would be 75 through 13 weeks of the season.
We thought Tampa Bay would be like be like New Orleans or Green Bay, 10 and 29 and three clicking on all cylinders nearing the playoffs.
But they they're strong at the moment, and and I think I already mentioned this beforehand.
I think we could beat Seattle.
So, you see, Yeah, don't scare me.
Seattle is a team where they only rely on Russell Wilson and Russell Wilson struggles. You win.
And now like that.
Obviously, we've seen years.
Where, what it's on Lee Russell Wilson They're relying on.
But now I would argue that it's the It's the entire offense as a whole that they're relying on their like The offense is caring that team on their backs and not the defense.
We've seen flashes of the defense, their edge, rushing core.
I mean, we almost argue their edge.
Russian core has not been like significantly productive since they lost.
You know, guys like Michael Bennett.
Um, I obviously forgot Bobby Wagner when I was mentioning Jamal Adams, Bobby Wagner and Jamal Adams and the only stars right now, that team on their defense.
Oh, and then obviously Carlos Dunlap was a great edition for that team.
Um, but I mean, like you said that that they don't scare me.
I mean, if I had to pick Tampa or Seattle Thio like which teams I think would scare me more or give us more competition, I would go Tampa.
I would go Tampa and I, I think in the playoffs.
And I know we were going to say it the playoffs for like after Week 17 or just before the playoffs.
But this is probably fine, but, um won.
The playoffs are a whole different story, a whole different game.
It's not the regular season and we know how Rodgers could be in the playoffs.
Obviously, we know how Russell Wilson could be, but I Tampa to me, it's still impressive team.
Their defense is still top nosh.
I don't think they blow us out.
I think we will.
I think we can beat them and I think we can help hold our own ground against them for the entire game and play four quarter football and I think we can beat them next.
If we end up face to come in the playoffs.
Yeah, if we do end up facing them as well and even if we have to burst the lower seeded teams, a quarter number to see if we got a first team like a Minnesota or Arizona.
I love our chances against those things as well.
I mean, granted last time we played Minnesota, double Cook ran all over us.
But I think we'll go into that game at Lambeau Field and say, Look, just stop that because that's what we gotta do and and what one thing I do love.
I think this was a couple weeks ago.
I think the defense had a meeting, I think with Mike Patton before their game against it was either their game before Chicago or the game against Philadelphia.
I think they went up to my head and just simply say, Look, just just make the scheme easier And so far since that meeting, this defense has looked a lot better since I believe it was the Smiths and some other defense.
But basically our defensive leaders basically went up to Mike Pet That said, Look, just just make the schemes a lot easier.
Schemes that you had before during the season were, ah, little bit more difficult to understand.
Just don't get down, make it easy and so far our defense has responded very well I mean, we did very good against the Bears.
Pretty much shut down.
Robiskie, as we know, got the fumble recovery gotten interception even against Philadelphia.
Sacked the quarterback a lot.
Got a big take away from Jalen Hurts and all those things.
All those things went well.
But, you know, I think we could both sit down and say, Green based chances off.
Potentially making it to the Super Bowl are a lot better as of this point than probably a couple of weeks ago and that that's the beauty of the NFL, because anything changes in and like, I think a lot of people thought when Seattle went up against the Giant and when the Rams loss of the night, everybody thought, Seattle's gonna pounce on it.
They're gonna take the opportunity and they lose to the Giants.
So I mean, it's Ah, it's the telling tale of any Any given Sunday is possible.
Anything can happen.
And you know this is this is gonna be kind of the same situation with with Green Bay right now, heading in heading into Detroit, the Green Bay Packers upcoming matchup, Week 14 is against the Detroit Lions.
And let's get into Let's get into this right? Right at this very moment, Sam, what is your confidence level and the Green Bay Packers? This game against Detroit Line? I'm very confident in this team.
Um, and I'm not mistaken.
I mean, we haven't Kenny got it.
Is Kenny got it? Still hurt Kenny Golladay? I think he is, But he's to be to be determined.
DeAndre Swift is questionable with an illness.
Um, ap had a good game Thanksgiving against.
He was in Houston.
Houston, Um, Quinton CPAs is actually playing better than I thought he was, like, Thought he would have his first year.
But I think a lot of it has to do with, you know, Kenny got, but I'm eating hurt.
But Quintus Cephas has impressed me.
Yeah, he hasn't statistic why it hasn't been like amazing, but he's definitely showing a lot more flashes than we thought Me specifically thought I should say, but I'm really confident in this team beating the lions.
Um, I think the Lions are still a team that can put up a decent amount of points against the packers.
Um, a Sfar, as my score prediction goes um I shouldn't say decent amount.
I should say double digit points.
Um, I'm gonna go 31 to 10 packers.
Um, I think Matthew Stafford is, I think Matthew Stafford.
Sometimes I think he's a very underappreciated quarterback.
I saw a video of the Lions put on their social media page.
Um, and it was Aaron Rodgers praising Matthew Stafford.
And like, Yeah, it's unfortunate that Stafford has, you know, always gone through like injuries throughout the past.
Like a few years of his career.
I I think they should have traded him when they had the chance.
But now his name might heat up in the quarterback situation in terms of trade, in terms of trades in the off season, now that they're gonna have a new head coach.
But their secondary doesn't really scare me.
Jeff Okuda has not been great.
I don't think he's lived up to his third overall pick.
Um, Desmond, True front is okay.
Justin Coleman, I think, is I think Justin Coleman could be good.
Aziz, you know, like that rotational corner that they have.
But, um, if I had to pick a guy defense, I'd probably go Jamie Collins I'm sorry.
I'm kind of skipping ahead of the line here, but I'm very confident and in terms of, like, offense versus defense, I think Aaron Rodgers could put on a show against this defense.
Yeah, I definitely could make a lot of great points there.
I also have high confidence in this game.
Last time we played the Detroit Lions, we've been pretty handed the 42 to 21.
Essentially, everything was clicking the offense and the defense.
I think it has to say same recipe for this kind of game.
I mean, Detroit.
They have played this tough the last couple of years.
I mean, even last year with before I was a rookie.
Both times we've played them.
It was pretty much down to the wire.
They beat us on Monday night, two years ago when we had I'm sorry, not two years ago, three years ago when we still had brought humbly way eso Detroit's been playing us close last couple years.
Obviously, this game.
Week two, we basically beat the brakes off, but they kept a closely half.
Then, once Erin Jones, ready than 75 yards to the end zone, first play the second half.
You kind of knew like it was pretty much over it.
Pretty much demoralized.
But you know, I like green based chances in this game, but I will say this is a game not to sleep on.
I mean, if the New York Giants could walk into Seattle and be an M V P B uh, an M V P type player Russell Wilson, I think you have to take this game of Syriza's possible, especially because it's divisional game.
It's not like it's not a regular game. This is a game against your division.
You know Detroit's gonna go in this game to try and spoil Green Base playoff seeding hopes.
I wouldn't say spoiler playoff appearance because Green Bay is gonna be make the playoffs 1%.
There's no way agreement is gonna lose four straight games and fall out of the playoff picture.
That's just not gonna happen.
It's just a matter of what kind of seating is green they're gonna get or we're going to get a one seed of two or three.
Detroit's gonna go into this game and try and play spoiler because because because if we're being honest, if somehow somewhere Green Bay lose this game.
You can pretty much kiss the once you goodbye, and we're pretty much gonna be trying to battle for the two or three seats.
So the Detroit is in a situation where they're clearly not their clear, not bending.
Green Bay clearly has the better roster.
They clearly have the better head coach.
It's better defense. Better everything.
But it's at Ford Field and try to play spoiler and Green Bay.
You know, I just have some simple words for Green Bay.
Just take care of business.
Don't don't let them into this game because so many times we've seen Green Bay throughout the season.
They get out to this big, big league big commanding lead, but they let the teams back in.
I'll be looking like a Green Bay.
Last week, there were 23 to 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles, fourth and 18th.
They let Jim and Hurts throw a touchdown.
Green Bay goes in tow the next drive three Now and then J.
Scott punts the ball to gen rigor Janet.
Rigor puts the move on JK Scott for the second time in four weeks, JK Scott looked like a fool.
And then, just like that, your deficits only seven.
Great at Luckily, Erin Jones ran it in for 77 yards and put the game away.
But if you're a Green Bay, you you can't do that.
You cannot let teams back in the day.
Even look at what happened when we play Indianapolis.
We let Indianapolis back into the game and what we did it was too late.
18 apples had all the momentum.
We got the ball over time, fumbled it away and lost the game.
So I think for Green Bay this game, my comments is very high for Green Bay.
But don't let Detroit in this.
Don't don't be in a situation where you know Europe Europe.
30 Like one of Sam's score.
Don't be one of those situations where you're up 31 to 10 and then the fourth quarter allow kind of to to to kinda dumb place, kind of like like that Stat pads.
That's what's so frustrating defense to like.
I don't want to see a final score big, 31 24 even though it was like 31.
Houston, I think, was one of the game's Vikings.
Week one was one of the other games.
I feel like the Falcons might have been another one of those games to.
That's so frustrating.
Yeah, I don't like that at all.
We can't We can't do that because one thing I know for sure if we gotta play the Saints again in the playoffs way or even if we make it Thio big game, we gotta play like Kansas City or Pittsburgh Buffalo.
I'll tell you for a fact.
If we give any of those teams a chance to come back in this game, they're going to take that opportunity to run with, like Green.
Green Bay has toe get up ahead in Detroit, with which I think they will and just fork lift him and put him away, because, I mean, you look, even ****ysts on on, like whatever its first take or get up or any other show, you look at their suitable contenders.
What do they think of they think of Kansas City? They think of New Orleans.
They think of Pittsburgh, think of Buffalo.
They think of 345 other teams that is Green Bay.
I wouldn't even put Buffalo on there because I feel like so many ****ysts.
Like under appreciate Buffalo.
Yeah, So even then, like, Green Bay has to go into this game against Detroit and and just put them on and then just punch him in the mouth, Get like, what? What their ass like, put the brakes on them like like go up big and stay that way Because, I mean, you like agreements going into this game and saying, Look, we're nine and three.
We win this game If Minnesota loses were once again division winners.
But I think this season they're going in just like we want more than a division.
We want the Lombardi.
So they're going into this game and saying, Look, take care of business against Detroit and the rest will settle itself out And let's try and get the number one seed.
And while we talk about the Detroit Lions, a Green Bay Packers, let's give kind of our offensive player of the games for our Green Bay Packers.
Sam, who do you think is gonna have a great game on the offensive side for the green Bay Packers for the Packers.
I'm gonna go. Aaron Rodgers.
I said, I think this often it could have a field day on.
And I think that's gonna be e think that's gonna be the case.
I don't wanna I was gonna think Davante Adams, Um because I can't imagine they're gonna line up Adam's against Okuda is probably gonna be Adams over Trufant and Okuda over Lazard.
Um, but yeah, I mean, I've got I've got Rogers and the secondary really doesn't scare me.
The pass rush really doesn't scare me.
I'm already kind of spoiled my defense.
The guy for the Lions toe watch is Jamie Collins.
Um, I went there really isn't a guy on that on that defense with lines that That's great.
Um, but I think the secondary really doesn't scare me.
Very similar reasons to why I said that last week against eagles.
Um, and I think Rodgers could have a field that hang out. Rogers.
Definitely good good players there with Aaron Rodgers.
I'm gonna go a little different.
I'm gonna go with Erin Jones.
I think I think Erin Jones is gonna have a good, good, good Detroit.
We saw what Erin Jones did last weekend's Philadelphia.
He had almost almost 20 carries, got got over 100 yards.
I think he's gonna have that same kind of performance again against Detroit.
I mean, he did well against Detroit last time he played him.
I believe he had a receiving touchdown and then the 75 yard rushing touchdown in the start off the second half.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has that that kind of game.
I feel like a lot of the Detroit Lions are gonna be looking at the Monte Adams trying to shut him down, trying to shut down Aaron Rodgers.
But you got Erin Jones in the back. Good.
I think Erin Jones is gonna have himself a day.
Detroit defense is not really is not really that good.
There's maybe some key pieces, like like you mentioned your defense playing the game and Jamie Collins, maybe tree fires.
But other than that, there's not really a lot of defenders where you could say, Oh, this is gonna be the guy to shut shut them down.
So I personally think it's gonna be Erin Jones.
I would not be surprised if it is Aaron Rodgers or Davante Adams.
But I'll go with Erin Jones just because I think for Green Base, uh, to further push themselves into suitable conversation, they have to make sure there's run game is clicking on all cylinders.
And to make sure Aaron Rodgers does well, let's move on now to the Packers defensive side of the ball.
I'll start off first.
I'm gonna go into Darius Smith now, when you know when we talk about defensive player of the Year people, a lot of people think Aaron, Donald TJ Watt does.
Darius Smith is right there.
I think I think this is gonna be the game there.
The Darius Smith could make a case for defensive player of the year now, Obviously, a lot of people are going to say and that you're crazy, you know? It's gonna be Aaron Donald TJ Watt and they're probably right.
It could be Aaron Don t J.
What, but don't sleep on the Darius Smith Za'darius.
5 sacks so far through 13 weeks, and with how bad the Detroit Lions are.
If Za'darius Smith could have himself a big game like a game where he didn't like 33 or four sacks.
He could put his name in that conversation in the hat, And that's why things Darius Smith is going to do.
I think the Dairy Smith is going to go into this game with a chip on his shoulder and say, Hey, people think Donald and Wild Defensive Player of the Year they're not mentioning my name right there, even though even though I like number 30 even though I'm like third and defensive player nominees, I'm gonna I'm gonna have a big game out here, make my case.
That's what I think the Dairy Smith is gonna do.
And so Dairy Smith will have to do if Green Bay is gonna put put this Detroit Lions team away and early.
I'll then ask you that same question, Sam.
Who do you think is gonna have a good defensive game for the Green Bay Packers? I'm gonna go chair.
Um, actually, I just looked it up.
Kenny Golladay is out.
County God has been on and off of injuries all season.
Um, you might see a little bit more in the passing game point test.
See if we've seen more of it started to seem or a lot more of it these past few games.
Um, because obviously, you know the top guy on their offense.
Top target? I would say right now it's TJ Hawkinson on.
Then I would argue maybe.
Um actually, yeah.
T j Hawkinson probably TJ Haakenson slash Marvin Jones.
Um, and then Sisyphus Sisyphus had his first career touchdown week or two ago.
Um, but I'm gonna go gyre, and they don't.
The lions have receivers that they have weapons that can be productive, but none That really scared me.
Andi, I think Jr is gonna have a really nice game.
Um, and I we don't I don't think we're going to see a lot of, um I don't think we're gonna see big, big flashes out of Marvin Jones.
Um, depending on whoever is lined up over Jr.
And I'm assuming it's probably gonna be Marvin Jones.
Um, and then, you know Kevin King over quintas Sivas.
Um, but I've got a J. Ayer.
Definitely good points there.
I think if I had picked on us besides the Dairy Smith, it definitely would be dire, Alexander, especially with colony being out, I think it's gonna make it a lot easier for Giant Alexander because you can either put him out by Marvin Jones if you want to.
Or you can have them shut down teaching Hawkinson So definitely gonna be an easy day for Joy. Alexander.
Let's move on to the to the other side of the spectrum.
The Detroit Lions Detroit Lions, on the other hand, much different side of things five and seven recently fired their head coach and GM.
Obviously the right move that they made, which seems like the first time they made the right move in a long time.
Let's kind of talk about their offensive player of the game.
If you're the Detroit Lions, who do you think on the offensive side of the ball? Could make an impact in this game and potentially give the Lions a chance to win? So I'm sorry.
I apologize for what I said before.
Jeff Oh, could is also out, which I did not know that either, um, offensive with Lions.
I would definitely say T J Hawkinson.
I don't want to go on heavy week and say Pick a running back because of our run defense.
Um, because the run game, the run game for the Lions to me.
Isn't that impressive? DeAndre Swift is very talented, I think if you go DeAndre so it wouldn't be a bad would be a bad option just because we've seen a lot of flashes of, um from DeAndre Swift.
I'm gonna I'm gonna go teach you Hawkinson on this one.
And we've seen a lot more than in the passing game from him.
Um, substantially, especially with County Galati being hurt.
So I got t j Hawkinson Definitely good points that I have to go through.
E also believe it's going to be teacher Hawkinson, especially with the holiday being being out this Sunday against agreement Packers.
TJ Hawkinson is definitely going to get a lot, a lot more targets, a lot more touches.
And I think essentially file Green Bay that's going to produce you only got not worried about is going to be if we could stop TJ Hawkins.
And I think if we could stop TJ Hawkinson, I think we'll be in great hands now.
A lot of you are going to say, Matt, what about the Green Bay Packers run defense? Well, I like Sam mentioned earlier their run game is is not really that I mean, yeah.
DeAndre Swift has been turning heads of lately, and Adrian Peterson has looked OK, but I'm not really scared of those kind of running back.
I'm more concerned on what Stafford is going to do through through the air, because I'm not sure if you saw, but did you see that throw that Stafford made against Detroit, where he was on almost his own, like, 30 or so yard line, and he swung it all the way and, like the ball carried all the way, told us the end zone and the lines point made the catch for a question.
I mean, Matthew Stafford concealing it down the field like no other.
Wait, was that last week? Yeah, that was last week. I think it was Cephus.
This I think it was. Yeah.
Staffer can throw it down, throw the ball down the field.
Probably one of the best QB arms in the league.
Like I think you look at my home's gonna arm Rogers.
Josh Allen's got a arm, and then you got put staffer in there because they could just throw it down down the field as far as far as I can.
So a lot more concerned of how Green Bay could contain TJ Hawkinson.
Maybe we'll see gyre Alexander more on T j Try shot now because, in my opinion, I think J.
Alexander is is one of the better corners in the NFL.
I think he's starting to make his name even on the all Pro level.
Oh, on you know, it is gonna be an exciting match up to see you know how Where, where Mike Pence gonna put J.
Alexander? Because, obviously, no Kenny Golladay.
You don't gotta worry about Jr on Golladay.
You could put him almost anywhere and kind of limit limit where they're throwing to.
Let's move on to the Detroit Lions defense.
Samu already named your player in Jamie Collins as your defensive player of the year.
Make your case on why, Why, it should be Jamie Collins for the Detroit Lions beef.
I mean, I don't really see any other player on Lions defense that can especially like lining up going up against the Packers offense that can potentially cause havoc and Jamie Collins e must play.
I would probably say Loki has had a pretty good year? Um, not great.
But he's had a productive year, and he's been one of the top guys on that defense.
He's got 91 combined tackles and an interception in a sack.
And he's coming off of nine combined or nine total tackles against the Chicago Bears from last week.
Um and yeah, I mean, I I think Jamie Cowan's could potentially cause minor Halbach.
Um uh, maybe a little bit of disruption in the run game.
But, um, like I said, I mean, there there really isn't anyone on the lines defense that really that really worries me.
But if I absolutely had to pick one, I would probably go.
True funds a good one.
But I would go Trufant if we had, like receivers hurt.
But now we have wide receivers fully healthy.
We've had a fully healthy offense now for the past few weeks for the first time in a long time, like like and like since, like way earlier in the season.
But I think Jamie Collins is a talented player.
He's not great by any means, but he's very productive, and he's He's had a pretty good year with the Lions.
Yeah, he definitely has.
I mean, you made a great case with Jimmy Collins, but I'm actually going to go through all the quarters.
I'm actually going to go with the Desmond Trufant.
I feel like the Detroit Lions.
If they want a chance of winning this game, one is to pressure the quarterback, and two, they can find a way to stop the about that because we've seen in the past couple of weeks when that Rogers toe Adam's connection works.
Oh, man, it is hard to stop because, I mean, they could pretty much go anywhere they want.
And you know, the Monte is gonna come down with Desmond.
Trufant got himself a tough task because he's probably Universe, one of the best receivers in the NFL.
I mean, you mentioned earlier in the stream.
You said it was Hopkins and Adams, and I agree.
I think it's the Andre Hopkins is obviously number one, but Davante Adams.
I think it's number two.
I mean, if you were to name some other receiver may be ahead of the Montana's.
Besides Hopkins, it might be Tyree kill.
Maybe, but I mean, that's I think every I think Tyree kills top five.
I would go. DeAndre Hopkins.
Davante Adams? Um, probably probably.
Really? Oh, I would maybe say Michael Thomas on Ben.
Julio and then Tyree kill that.
Definitely be a solid starting five.
But, you know, I I just think Desmond Trufant needs to find a way toe contain the Montanes.
And I wanna be surprised of Detroit.
Put a double team on the Montana If they try and do everything they can to limit him because, you know, if if the Detroit Lions can't stop the Vonta out of now, they're they're gonna have a probably entirely.
Because if Rodgers and Adams are clicking you, then incorporate the run game and Erin Jones and it's gonna be a rough day for for for the City of Detroit Uh, toe watch the lines get utterly manhandled on on a Sunday game.
So I got Desmond Trufant just for the simple fact of if he can't contain Davante Adams, the Detroit is going to be and for for a long, long game, because it'll be it'll be bad for them.
Let's move on to we already kind of discuss a little bit earlier, but, you know, I'm gonna add a little spin to it.
We see in some some sports shows where they're like this team wins.
If so, I'm kind of add that in.
So let's go on the other side. Spectrum Sam.
The Detroit Lions win this game.
If what happened? They stopped Davante Adams and they put pressure on Aaron Rodgers.
Definitely great points there, and I have to agree with you as well.
I think Detroit off if they can put pressure on Aaron Rodgers and I also think if they could throw off the game plan.
Matt Matt LaFleur in company always seem to have a game plan going into an upcoming game.
But if that game plan has kind of thrown out the window, you can find a way to get to get toe Green Bay.
I mean, look at look at what happened in our losses when we lost the Tampa Our game plan was working in the first quarter.
But once Rodgers threw two interceptions and Tampa Bay casting it for 14, it seemed like Mata flooring company didn't have any answers and we lost the game.
We had our second loss against So what's the game played in that game? Stopped, album cooked.
And when that didn't really work, you saw it show and we lost the game, even the second half against the Indianapolis Colts.
How we lost, how we had our third loss.
Our game plan did not work in the second half.
And what happens? Way fell apart and we lost that game.
So if Detroit if Detroit can win this game, it will be if they can throw off the game plan.
And if they could get pressure on the Aaron Rodgers.
Now let's move on to the other side of the spectrum.
Our Green Bay Packers win.
If Blank happens, I'll start off first agreement.
Packers win this game if if we go in in a lot of a lot of ways, but I think one big important thing the Packers will win this game.
If we don't stop.
If we if we continue running the ball, if we can have a sustained running game start to finish, I think Green Bay wins this game. No problem.
I think Green Bay will have an issue if we can establish the run.
If we can establish a run then we're gonna have a lot of problems.
But I think Green Bay will win this game.
If, for the simple fact of we can establish to run, then we'll be in great business.
What about you, Sam? The Green Bay Packers win this game.
If what happened? I think the Packers win one.
If they play four quarter football and to if their defense stays consistently productive throughout the entire game.
I mean, definitely great.
Great points there.
Let's let's move on to score.
Sam, you mentioned your score.
Your score earlier.
I believe it was 31 to 10, 31 10, 31 to 10.
I'll throw out my score and the hat as well.
I think it's gonna be a blowout win as well.
I think I think Green Bay has a good chance to put up almost 40. I think.
I think the Green Bay Packers win the game by a final score of I'm gonna say 38 to 20.
I think I think the Green Bay office is going to clicking, clicking on all cylinders.
They're gonna find ways to get Monty Adams, Erin Jones involved, and I think this could be a game where we could see a little bit of a J doing on the run again.
Because now, because nobody is back in the fold, I hope so.
Yep, he's often covert. Listen, he's playing.
He's off the cover. This and playing.
I want to see how Matt the floor utilizes a J doing because A J.
Dillan could be a future number two or number one back for the Green Bay Packers, depending on how they attack the off season with both Erin Jones and Jamal Lewis and free agency, it will be interesting to see what happens here.
And what the amount of action A. J. Dillan did.
You know? Well, truly see how how Green Bay really feels about a J.
So my final score prediction 38 to 20.
I think it's gonna be a great day for Rogers.
Great day for Adam's great day for the offense in general, because the last time we played this team in Week two, I mean, it was pretty much a domination from, you know, whether even if we started slow in the first half, we sure as hell dominating the second half, and we can continue that, then agreement will look good.
And then we could finish.
We could finish 10 and three and, you know, further ensure our case for protecting the number one seed.
And do you have any? Anything else? Anything else to add Sam before before we shout, Shout out any any stuff that we do.
I do not hope for a Packers win.
I think we're gonna clash.
We win Sunday if we win Sunday.
And I think if it's the if the Vikings winter tie or if the Vikings lose and we win or tie, I think the Packers punched in.
Or if I think that's what it was.
And there was there was a thing that came out yesterday or today.
The Packers win last Sunday, it was history.
It was like there 3000 win or something.
Or 300 3800 800? Yeah.
Yep, that weren't there.
Like the first Thio hit 800 wins they might have been.
I didn't read too deep into that.
I just saw like it was on the Packers social media.
Andi it waas like, Yeah, they got their 8/100 when they made history on on Sunday here.
I'm actually I'm actually looking up.
When I was saying most wins an NFL team history, we're gonna We're gonna find that out here.
See here most wins.
So if we were to go, this this definitely is not up there needs to get together.
But I think you are correct.
I do remember seeing saying I believe it was on the Packers media where it was one of We're one of the first teams to hit the 800 win mark, which clearly shows, like the Packers excellence over over, you know, for most of their entire franchise.
And, you know, it would be great to see what happens.
Hopefully, this season can go down in a chapter of another great Packers franchise season.
Obviously, we have a good record right now.
Nine and three got a good chance to get the number one seed.
I think you know, if we went out, we went out the rest of our games.
And if the state schools one mawr, I think will be the number one seed.
So hopefully hopefully that happens.
And hopefully Green Bay takes care of business.
I mean, this is definitely a game where anything can happen.
Za division rival you can.
It doesn't matter how good or how bad a division division rival is.
I mean, you always got.
You always gotta take it like like like it's It's a rival game, so we'll see what happens.
We'll see if Green Bay follows our game plan because seven are pretty smart people.
So I think if we can, you know, hopefully we have a good Sunday game to watch.
Because if there's one thing I do not want to have happen is to have the Detroit Lions spoil our chances of getting the number one seed.
That's what I do not want to have happen, because then it would make a possible trip available 55 a lot harder than that.
It already is because, like Sam mentioned earlier, NFC is wide open for anybody.
So you wanna have as easy of a path to the Super Bowl as possible, whether it's getting a first round bye at the number one seed or potentially playing a seven seed in, uh, stumbling Arizona or Minnesota team.
So we'll have to see what happens there that my friends concludes today's dream off the title town show.
