We've had a full slate of games.
We got Sunday night football coming up.
Of course, we got to Monday night games and a Tuesday night game.
I wouldn't be surprised. We have.
Ah, Wednesday night game in a Friday night game at some point this week.
I who knows the way things are going right now, But hey, Ray, uh, as you could see, everybody.
I'm here with rare out, and he decided to go ahead and join us, even though his game is currently going on.
Eso Are you enjoying your game or you're not enjoying? It's tight.
It's a nail biter.
Four minutes left, four minutes left in the game.
Uh, the charges just went for it on fourth down and didn't get it.
You predicted 50 points when it was 35. Nothing.
So now I'm hoping they do score points to see your 50 is right.
We almost had a couple big upsets today.
I mean, down to the wire.
Uh, the overtime game with Minnesota and Jacksonville that no one would have really thought.
I mean, I figured it was gonna be a tight game, but I didn't think it was gonna go to overtime, and then drugs miraculously gets Las Vegas over the hump over the Jets, right? I mean, my goodness, what, did you get a chance to see any of those or where you're from that? So I watched Red Zone for most of the early games, but then I started zeroing in on some key games.
And the Patriots are in a situation now where, yes, they have to win outright, but their playoff destiny is not in their own hands.
They need other teams to lose.
And we needed They needed the Raiders to lose.
So that was a heartbreaking moment for me on, you know, fourth down and forever.
You send a massive blitz and have everybody a man to man coverage when you're team isn't a good man to man coverage team and give up the game.
The colt still had a chance, but the Colts was another team story, Lawrence, that I needed to lose today.
Um, you know, and then look like the Texans, we're gonna take the lead.
No guarantee that they would have won the game, but at least they would have had a lead.
And then the fumble happens and the Colts recover and that game drops of the wayside.
Miami wins the game today.
Everything I needed toe happen today did not happen.
There wasn't last week.
Their bye week are two weeks ago, but the Patriots losing and Miami losing and everything, uh, the Patriots couldn't win this week.
Too many teams that we didn't need toe win came through and won games today, but there was some some crazy games, too.
I mean, not close games, but the Cleveland Tennessee game really shocked me.
I just Cleveland handled them pretty easily, and I didn't I didn't think that that was possible today.
Um uh, right now I'm well, I mean, it's a final Now the Giants defeating Seattle.
Who would have called that game? E would have.
I wish I You know, unfortunately, guys, I won't get into why, but I couldn't join the the Stream this morning.
I didn't even get to watch it.
But I wanna go back now and watch all you guys predicting that game because I want to hear what everybody had to say because I feel like that would have been one of those.
Uh, all right, let's just fight through this game so we could get to the important games.
Type of games, which souls always seem to be the type of games that do And, uh, getting us. Yeah.
I mean, Detroit in Chicago came down to it, and that was, you know, Detroit came back from a 20 point deficit.
It was, Yeah, a good slave of football games today.
It was a very, very good slate right now.
Oh, nope, it's over.
I just watched it click over who was l.
Just defeated Arizona, 38 to 28.
And that's pretty much Arizona season.
Yeah, we We talked about this, what, two weeks ago? About how Arizona is just dropping, dropping, dropping.
And then all of a sudden, they've dropped a bunch in a row just because their defense can't stop Nobody? No.
And I mean, so that was that.
I mean, New Orleans in Atlanta was close.
I thought Atlanta could have actually taken that game.
Uh, Taysom Hill throws his first touchdown pass of his career.
There wasn't a game today that was either not surprising or not really close.
Well, I did Green Bay, Philly, Green Bay. Filthy.
That's kind of going the way.
I mean, I picked the Patriots toe win.
I didn't think they were going to take a 45 to nothing lead against the number three offense in the NFL.
I picked the Patriots to win Aziz.
Well, um, now the Miami game.
I figured Miami would win.
I figured they'd win handily and they won by 12, 12, 12 points.
It was a sloppy game.
I watched a lot of that game and it wasn't at no point did.
It looked like Miami like it looked like at any point the Bengals could if Joe Burrow would have played.
I don't know if if Miami would have won that game, you know, that's that's the whole piece.
And I know that's what I should have could have, and it's a kind of a relevant to that.
But to me, it wasn't like that should have been a game that Miami is for real the way we think they are.
That should have been a dominating game today.
No Joe Mixon, No Joe Burrow.
Ah beat up defense.
An awful offensive line and Miami plays really dirty by the way to do.
They threw some dirty hits today.
I just want to throw that sort of Not Miami. Cincinnati.
Cincinnati throws dirty hits, very dirty hits.
Miami lost their cool in that game.
They did, and I don't blame them because there was.
I thought that Vontaze Burfict was back on the Cincinnati Bengals that they cloned them five different ways.
It's just amazing to me that that it's I could not believe the amount of dirty hits I got thrown, and I threw this out on Twitter and I meant it, and I mean this.
I was like, You know, it would be a shame if somebody were to Knee Hunt Joe Burrow next year for some retribution because you're taking a lot of cheap shots.
And, um, one thing I've learned is is when When you throwing up cheap shots, people start throwing them back, you know, and you're not a team that can afford take a major injury right now, Uh, this season doesn't matter.
But going into next year, yeah, you're right about one thing that this past few weeks there just the teams that you expect to just handily defeat.
People have been really struggling against him, really, teams that they should just be blowing out.
Like I said, you know, the Jets was winning right up until the last second against the Raiders.
You know, Jacksonville.
Jacksonville almost got their second win against Minnesota, who, by the way, are fighting right now for a playoff spot.
You know, now the Arizona's down.
Let's also not forget that same Jacksonville team that pushed Green Bay to the brink.
Jacksonville has been playing everybody tough.
They're losing very, very close games, and I think that the problem is well, When they played Pittsburgh, Ludden was there and he was just in awful quarterback.
The quarterback they had today actually played decent until the very last drive, where he threw the interception and gave Minnesota a chance to win the game.
Can I ask you a question? Lawrence story.
There's a minute 49 left in this game here. New England and the Chargers.
Okay, it's 45 to nothing.
Justin Herbert just got smoked.
Throwing the football.
Is there any reason I've Justin Herbert in the game right now? Like, is this really a character building moment for this young kid who struggled today this today.
If it was within 21 I would say keep them in there.
But when it's 45 nothing, then no, they just, uh they just didn't convert 1/4 down on their own 15 yard line.
Like, why aren't you punting the ball there? Do you really think you're gonna come back and win this game at 45 to nothing? Uh, they're probably hoping toe pin the new England back a little further so that they could, uh, perhaps stop the entire, um 50 point, you know, embarrassment because 45 bad.
But once you get a 50 nothing well, that Miami just served.
The Patriots just took over the ball on the 15 yard line of the Chargers.
They run their own 15 when they went for it on fourth and four.
Alright, so I got a question for you.
Bill Bellisari. Bill Belichick is being classy.
Has Jared said I'm taking a knee? That's nice.
I wouldn't I would not have predicted that you would expect him to go for the touchdown.
Oh, yeah, I would expected him to just be like that.
Harris Um, the Green Bay Philadelphia game where Green Bay's up 30 to 16.
Jalen Hurts in the third quarter replaced Carson Wentz.
So I got a couple stats I want to compare to you and you tell me which quarterback you would take the quarterback that went six of 15 for 79 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions or the quarterback that went five of 12 for 109 yards.
One touchdown, one interception I'd go with the second option was the second.
Once that is, Jalen hurts.
That's Jalen hurts.
That's Jalen hurts.
You did get a score, but he did turn the ball over as well.
Um, and their completion percentage is air just about darn equal.
The situation in Philly is just it's it's fallen off the rails, falling off a cliff.
I don't know what mawr to say about it anymore.
Um, poor Carson Wentz.
He you know, you and I, we're talking on Friday off air just chattin, and we're talking about Carson Wentz and I asked you if you believe Carson Wentz needed a change of scenery on did you said it could possibly do you wanna expand upon that a little bit more.
Well, I think it's more of a different coaching, not just the scenery itself.
I think Philadelphia fans probably would love to have him there.
I'm sure he's well liked in the locker room.
That whole situation.
I just think that the coaching scene right now for Philadelphia is not what wince needs.
I think he needs to find someone who is better with quarterbacks.
I don't know Adam Gates? Uh, no, Um, but just just find someone who's better with a quarterback, someone who's who's more willing.
Thio draw a place that will get the ball out of his hand a lot faster.
Uh, take some weight off his shoulders and things of that nature.
Um, because quite frankly, right now, with with Doug back there, I mean, it's not looking pretty at all.
No, and it's funny.
It's funny you say that because one of the questions I did ask you to is, at what point does this criticism have to be taken off of? Carson went to shoulders.
At what point does Doug Peterson have to start taking some accountability? Because this has been like un abysmal year after an abysmal years since they won the Super Bowl.
Um, you can't keep hanging your hat on.
We won the Super Bowl in 2017.
We're in the 2020 season now, and, frankly, you playing the division, that's awful.
And you don't show announce to compete in any game that you play and you can't.
And you can't blame it on the health of wince now, either because he's been healthy.
So I mean, granted the players around him, some of them he's missing a lot of his key players, but at the same time, uh, to Shawn Watson was without almost all of his key players today.
Went out there and played very, very admirably.
Yes, he got hit like left and right by the Colts defense, Um, sack safety through an interception, things of that nature.
But he was out there fighting and fighting and almost came away with the wind.
As you mentioned earlier in the final minute or so.
Yeah, And look, this is why I'm asking if Carson Wentz needs a change of scenery.
Even it's not just for coaching.
It's just a fresh start with a new fan base with the new everything, um, you know players read the papers.
That's one thing that I've I've learned, you know, we always hear that.
Well, they don't pay attention to the media.
And then players were like, Oh, no, no, Everybody reads the papers.
Everybody reads, It's written about them.
I'm sure that Carson Wentz seized the feedback from the fan base from the media.
Uh, the whole Jalen hurts Carson Wentz.
Um, controversy has not gone away since week one of the season.
And that brought me back to another question I asked you.
We talked about this quite extensively on Friday, just in a conversation, and one thing I said to you was like, Did they make a mistake drafting Jalen hurts because number one did it.
Did it set? Unreal.
Did it put unrealistic air pressure on went and really, I mean, the Eagles to me right now on a team that needed offensive help on a team that needed better weapons outside of Earth's, you know what I mean? A team that could have improved their defense could have done a lot of things to get better in the draft.
You drafted a quarterback in the second round and this and you know and I know I made the comparison to Jordan love to Aaron Rodgers and all that kind of stuff.
And I may be confusing a conversation I had with you and Connor, but, you know, and I thought, you know.
But at the end of the day, it's like, You know what Aaron Rodgers has been in the legal long time? Carson Wentz is a guy who will forever be the guy who was injured when Philadelphia won the Super Bowl.
Uh, he's a guy who's tried to battle his way back there because there was a time that people were saying trade winds and keep Nick Foles in Philadelphia.
Um, the Philadelphia fan base.
Nobody with a brain was saying that.
But there was people in the Philadelphia fan base saying that he fights his way to the starting position, and then you bring in unnecessary pressure by like, Hey, here's the guy who was talked about a lot going into the draft.
This was a guy that identified to you as I'd like to see the Patriots take a flyer on him in the second round and bring him on as their quarterback.
And now you're bringing them in behind your big money franchise.
Quarterback Carson Wentz doesn't have the mental makeup of Aaron Rodgers yet.
He could get there one day.
But I don't know if you ever get there in Philadelphia.
And I think that Philadelphia is the Eagles and that organization and Peterson and the general manager and all of them there now, there now, reaping what they sowed.
It's This is this is the situation you put yourself in, and now you're gonna have to deal with it.
Well, they're gonna have to deal with it.
They're gonna have to deal with it for a while, Okay? Because there's no way on God's green earth They're dropping him.
I mean, he's a $60 million dead cat next year.
If they trade him alright and $25 million a year after that, then in 2023 it looks like it might be reasonable.
Ah, little over 15 mil and then six mil after that.
So So right around the time they're gonna have to offer Jalen hurts a contract.
Yeah, let him walk away.
So they're in a bad situation.
Philly is right now.
And what happens now? If Jalen hurts now.
He didn't say starts the next game and he comes out.
He's lights out.
What if he wins four gate, rattles off four wins in a row and goes to the playoffs? What if they win a playoff game? I would still keep wins, because he I mean, he might be the highest dollar paid back up in the NFL.
But at least you got a backup.
That it hurts, gets hurt.
Well, yeah, that's the issue, though.
Right again, you put yourself in this position and it's the one I don't understand.
You've now put yourself in a position where you could have a $60 million backup.
And you know what? The Patriots were in a similar position to this a few years ago.
They were trying to keep Jimmy Garoppolo, and Belichick was willing to pay him basically what San Francisco was going to pay him.
But he was still gonna back up Tom Brady at least one or two more years.
And Garoppolo was like, No, I wanna play football.
But Belichick was willing to be like, Look, I'm going to give up a lot of cap space because you're my future.
And at the time.
I was like, Yeah, keep them both.
But like, I still think about it now, I'm just like to like, who would have been on our team if 70% of our of our cap is going to the quarterbacks? Right? But the thing is, they were the Patriots were in that situation because Tom Brady was like, 39 years old.
It's like, Okay, this guy is not gonna play forever, you know what I mean? Like, we need to start thinking about the future.
Carson Wentz is a kid like I still work for cars once as a kid, I'm looking at Philly going What are you doing? Drafting a quarterback in the second round.
You know what I would have rather than take a flyer on a Jacob Easton? You know, I mean, a project quarterback that whence isn't going to feel pressure.
He's not gonna feel threatened by him, You know what I mean? He's a project.
And, hey, if Jacob Beeston becomes somebody perfect What? I mean, if he doesn't Well, we weren't We got Carson Wentz.
That's that's That's the reason why the Indianapolis Colts picked up Eastern because something they already had percent.
They had rivers in the fooled, you know, by the time the draft happened and he fell the fourth round, I mean, that's that when you have a very high ceiling project player in the fourth round, you definitely take a flyer on that and pick him up.
And, uh, but with Philly men, you're right.
Uh, this is a This is a situation.
I mean, you can't get rid of once just because, like I said, the dead cat, but, uh, if hurts is playing better, Yes, You play hurts.
And you let went to sit there and watch, maybe give some advice to the young kid, you know, Be there, Formby, that mentor guy, because who knows what your future or future will hold the later that season in case hurts gets hurt? Or if it just sounds so weird coming off my lips, um, Or maybe he ends up going to another team.
That's a big plus in the whole, uh, morality thing of, you know, another team wanting you things of that nature.
So, yeah, I mean, he may not be playing next year at a really, really high dollar but at the same time, Uh, that could actually be better for him.
I also wonder, too, if they got to try to find a veteran somewhere to bring it is a third quarterback, even if you know a Colt McCoy.
You know what I mean? And Andy Dalton.
Somebody who can help mentor these two young Because I could only imagine what's going through both their heads right now.
Like Jalen hurts.
See, like Jordan, Love is sitting in Green Bay going okay, Errands older.
He's only got 34 years left.
I'm gonna bide my time.
It's gonna be my time.
And someday, if I'm Jalen hurts, I'm sitting there going Carson's 26.
You know what I mean? He's got at least 10 years of career left like he's getting paid a boatload of money.
I got to try to prove myself, and I think that that puts even more pressure on Jalen hurts.
So he comes out today.
Probably so badly wants toe.
Look what I can do. Look what I can dio.
And it's got to be against the Green Bay Packers of all teams.
You know, I think that Jeffrey Lori the owner of the Eagles needs to make a decision and be like, Hey, let's get a different head coach because obviously, it's not Doug Peterson that got into the Super Bowl.
Ever since Frank right left Wednesday's look like crap.
The quarterbacks, both of them, have looked like crap.
The play calling has been suspect.
There's so much going on.
I think they could move on from Doug Peterson right now.
And it might save wins his career if they do so well.
And it's funny that we get into that whole coaching conversation because I was reading an article this morning about Belichick's coaching tree.
And obviously, it's It's not great, right? Bryan Flores right now is really the only one who's looks like he's got a chance.
Maybe Joe Judge book is still early on Joe Judge in New York.
But they went through Patricia and McDaniels and Bob and all, you know, all the boys and I It got me thinking because, like, Yeah, you know what? The reason that these coaches aren't good is number one.
You're not Bill Belichick.
You don't have his defensive knowledge.
You don't have him.
Is your general manager? Um coaches air, also walking into usually worse situations and you and for a lot of them, it's like you don't you also don't have Tom Brady.
Who's gonna save who's gonna win you on his own four or five games.
So you got all those different combinations of things.
But then there's a big difference.
So someone was talking about the Andy Reid coaching tree right? And how it's just you look all around the NFL.
It's just all over, and I'm like, So see the difference between to me, between Bill Belichick and Andy Reid.
Andy Reid is a great coach.
Don't get me wrong.
So this isn't a knock on Andy Reid.
But Belichick and Read are great for two different reasons, right? Andy Reid brings in people that strengthens him as a head coach.
He brings in those good offensive coordinator defensive coordinators, always kind of guy.
Peterson is ah, is ah, in Andy Reid guy, right, bringing all these guys.
Bill Belichick, on the other hand, brings in yes, men, brings in coaches that are very young.
He never brings in seasoned veteran coaches.
You ever noticed that like he never goes out and finds a seasoned veteran coach.
He goes out and hires young guys and he promotes from within.
He builds the system.
Now his son is gonna be the next defensive coordinator, right? So they all buy into the whole Bill Belichick thing, and Bill Belichick gets people who complement who are good at certain things.
But Bill Belichick still holds a lot of the cards.
Like Bill Belichick doesn't give anything to anybody.
Maybe Josh McDaniels has a little bit more of the offense than he used to you.
What? I mean, he's probably earned a little bit about that.
Two different coaching styles makes them both great for two different reasons.
Peterson is more of an Andy Reid.
I'm going to surround myself with the Frank writes of the world.
So what? The problem was Frank Reich left.
They brought an offensive coordinator.
They decided not to hire an offensive coordinator and split the duties across four different guys this season.
And it's been a **** show.
Let's just call it what it is.
Um, that's what to me.
That's the difference between being a really good coach like Belichick or Andy Reid and being a mediocre coach.
like Peterson, who was on the coat tails of a really good coordinator.
Yeah, yeah, that's exactly how it works.
But, I mean, sometimes team take chances with that, and sometimes it's hard to identify what's going wrong on the team.
Is it the quarterback? Is it is it the head coaches it? The GM? You know that that situation, sometimes you have talent on the team.
You just don't know what the talent is.
You know you don't know is that the players isn't the coaches, is it? You know your hierarchy, brass.
Sometimes you can't you can't tell.
The best way of doing it is in my I haven't went down and looked at every Philadelphia play call made especially offensively.
But if I remember right Peterson was that Peterson.
They gave up the head coach.
No, that was somebody else that gave up the place.
Peterson gave up some MAWR.
He still has a little bit on his plate, but he gave a little bit more to the quarterback coach and a little bit more. So it's better.
There's four guys.
There's no offensive coordinator in Philly, There's four guys who all have different.
You're the two minute guy.
You're the red zone guy.
You're that This guy, you're that guy and they all have take different turns.
They don't have an offensive coordinator.
They decided that they wouldn't go with when they do it by committee this year.
And it's turning into a disaster.
Yeah, yeah, that's just awful.
You need one guy doing it, then that's that's because at least he has a plan and overall plan for the game.
He knows what the flow of the game is going with his plan or against his plan and can adjust.
When you have three or four different guys doing that, you can't meld those minds together and go okay, Is this going according to plan? Is my plan still able to be used that situation? So no, that that's That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard in my life.
I think it's also, too.
When you look at the inner workings of a team when they're successful, I know we gotta move on here.
We're almost at the end of our show, even talked about the Sunday night game.
But when it comes down, the culture and that kind of thing, when you look at Philadelphia, Philadelphia This underdog Peterson never had a culture.
They won the Super Bowl, riding the whole underdog mentality.
Well, once you've reached the top of the mountain, you're no longer the underdog.
And it is at that point that you'll either see the culture really take a grip on things or you'll start to see a crackle I'll never forget.
In the off season after the Patriots lost to Philadelphia, Teddy Bruschi works for ESPN.
Now, basically just looked out Rob Parker and said It takes more than dog masks and trick plays.
Toe win back to back or multiple championships.
You know what I mean? Like it's you can't ride, you're no longer an underdog.
Once you win it, you can't ride that underdog mentality.
Um, the Patriots in 2018 road, that underdog mentality because they were performing bad.
Well, you could you want in 18.
You couldn't ride into 2019.
And I think when you're looking at cultures to map, Patricia is the prime example of it was his fault.
And it was about a month ago when I remember to me, I was like, This is the beginning of the end.
They were asking him a question about his decision making, and and you know, this is his team giving up games at the end of the game.
And he sat there and took credit for the Malcolm Butler interception in Super Bowl 49 I just sat there and went well.
First of all, Matt, Ernie Adams drew up that play.
Bill Belichick had the team practice it 20 times at 20 different people.
Brandon Browner, on the field, identified what was happening and told Malcolm Butler where to go and how to undercut the call.
So, yes, you made the play call and called a goal line play, which is really simple to call.
If they have three receivers, you have three cornerbacks.
If they have two receivers, you have two cornerbacks.
And I just sat there and went.
Are you really justifying yourself as a head coach by a single play in a single game that if you gave Seattle nine at a 10 chances to throw that football? Malcolm Butler would not intercept that ball even if they ran the same play over and over again.
You know, and I was like that.
That's why you're not a good head coach, because you're You can't take accountability for what's happening with your team right now.
You can't ride like you said.
You You can't ride the flash in the pan. You gotta be ready, Toto.
Plan long term and and ride Long term success or long term failure own up to the long term failure and say, Hey, you know, I gotta learn.
Hey, like you said, the new game is getting ready to come on before I start.
I want to say Annabelle Car bro landing.
Hey, thanks for the follow car, bro.
Alex, Chevron, Gambino and Arjun A non thank you guys for joining here on SportsCastr he Chevron.
Gambino says nice comparison.
I I'm assuming asked something to do with something we were saying earlier, but I didn't notice when it popped up. I apologize.
So the new the game that we're watching tonight, what are your thoughts on the Denver Kansas City game? Do you think Denver has any shot at all? Anytime it's a divisional game.
And even no matter how bad the other team is, there's always a shot.
I've watched the Patriots lose to really awful Miami Dolphin teams.
I've watched them lose time.
So there's always a chance when it's the divisional team.
Honestly, it's going to depend on what Denver team shows up.
Right? Um, could because a quarterback? Yeah, hopefully they have a quarterback, a practice squad wide receiver.
But by the way, his wristband is going to the Hall of Fame Right now, they're sending his wristband from the game to the Hall of Fame.
But yeah, I think it's gonna be I mean, really, deep down, I think Kansas City's should win this game, but I think Seattle should have beat the New York Giants.
So it's, you know, any any given Sunday type of deal? Uh, no, it's It depends.
It's going to depend on what team comes up.
I'm really You wanna talk about coaches I no longer believe in? Vic Fangio is one of them.
I don't like some of his decision making.
I don't like the attitude that he's had around this team.
I don't think it's a good culture and they're gonna lose.
I just I don't see I'm trying to come up with a scenario right now.
Well, there they seem to be pretty healthy right now.
Offensively and defensively.
They got Drew lock, uh, sitting there.
Phillip. Lindsay. Good.
Running back combo, including Royce Freeman.
They got three solid running backs.
Uh, Jerry Judy K J. Hammer.
You know, those air Three big targets.
They have a chance to put up points against this Kansas City team.
My question is, can Kareem Jackson and age a boy and Justin Simmons and gang like that? It can they hold the four in the secondary down long enough.
Four guys like Bradley Chub to get any kind of pressure on on one.
Yeah, and that's, I think, one of the biggest issues.
You're going up against the number one offense in the NFL right now with the number one passing game.
They're averaging 314 yards a game.
Like that's insane in passing.
They're averaging 433 is a team.
So you're talking 300 passing 100 rushing every game.
That's the problem that's come up with Kansas City now.
They could now attack you in different areas.
They don't just have toe throw the football anymore.
And in my opinion, over the last 34 weeks, Patrick Mahomes is now my consensus M v p for this year, you know, as good as Aaron Rodgers is, look, I mean, this guy is coming alive when it matters.
He's surgical on the field.
What him and Tyreke did last week was just disgusting.
You know, um, it's, you know, they got the probably that they got the best tight end in the NFL right now.
They got probably, I'm gonna argue the best wide receiver in the NFL right now.
And they got probably the best supporting cast that supports all the stars in the NFL right now on offense.
And I think this is a team that, you know, we have this ****ogy and soccer that we're okay.
They might score two goals on us, but we're going to score five on them.
It's almost to me now, like Andrew reads like, Well, they might score 25 26 28 on us, but we're going to score 35 on them, so we're just gonna let our offense win this game So the on leeway Denver It's not gonna be the Denver offense scoring.
It's gonna be the Denver defense, making enough key stops in key moments.
This game and the Onley advantage that Denver has, is that they don't have to play in front of a sold out Arrowhead Stadium tonight that it's only a partial stadium and maybe you'll be able to hear yourself a little bit better.
But this Kansas City team, I'm sold on them being the best team in the NFL.
Um, right now, now I got curious, curious, Let's say, What if Denver had their full defense, would they? Would they have a good shot at beating them if they would have had General Casey and and, uh oh, looking for the How am I forgetting his name? What? Yeah, Von Miller and them to go with the rest of the defense where they had a chance.
More of a chance, obviously, like a real shot at beating them.
I'd say they have a little bit more of a chance from a defensive side of things to me, though, is it's the Chiefs to me.
Lawrence remind me of the old Peyton Manning.
Tom Brady prime games.
Um, if you score 20 I'm gonna score 25 like it's, You know, if you score 17, I'm gonna score 20 like it's I'm gonna keep pace with you kind of thing.
It's always say that about the Super Bowl against the Rams on the Patriots won 13 to 3.
I believe if Jared Goff went off, they wouldn't have blown out the Patriots.
Tom Brady would have matched him the other way.
I think that certain quarterbacks that air great and Manning and Brady and Rodgers falls into that.
They kind of go back and match the other way, right? If you're not scoring a lot of points, they almost have this sort of lays a fair sort of attitude going on the field.
But as soon as the pressures on them, that's when they start exploding.
Um, so I think that they still would have been able.
It would all depend on what then it would have changed from what can the Denver's defense, due to what condemn vers offense do and can you score enough points and I know he's dealt with injury and dealt with with things this year, but I have not been impressed with Drew Lock at all this season, very disappointed in his progress because I beefed him up a lot in the off season.
Well, I mean, I mentioned the depth of their running game eyes there, a chance that they could pull off that.
What what most teams really want to do against Kansas City.
And that's run the ball, eat the clock, wear down this defense and keep and keep Patrick Mahomes on the sideline.
You know, I have a theory in football, and I maybe this would make me a good head coach.
Maybe this would give me two years, and I never wouldn't even get a coordinator's position.
But I think sometimes teams get away from their strengths and the other teams weaknesses too early.
You know, you go down by two scores and suddenly you stop running the football.
Well, it's only the second quarter.
You can easily get two or three more scores by running the football before the end of the game.
Um, there's no need to suddenly become a passing team in the second quarter of the game.
Keep running the football, keep doing what you do well, where down this chief's defense.
And then you can start throwing the football and they'll be exhausted and you'll start hitting them with things.
Start hitting them with play action.
The problem is the reactionary movements, and I've seen it out of Bill Belichick.
I've seen it out of Frank Reich.
I've seen it out of Baby read.
John Harbaugh is the most reactive coach in the world, and he never used to be like that.
That's the thing is used to stick to his game, and suddenly they're down by two scores and everybody's like, Okay, we're going to get away from what we do well, where it's just keep.
You can run the ball on the Kansas City Chiefs.
You're a good running team in Denver.
Run it down their throats.
Score your points that way.
Now I will point out, though, you need touchdowns.
One thing that Kansas City is done well is red zone defense.
A very bend, But don't break.
Um, you need You're not gonna win scoring three points.
Your It's funny because they're the Chiefs Air 17th for a total defense, 16th on the past 23rd on the run in 16 points, right? So you can't settle for field goals.
You have to penetrate and actually break that defense because you're not gonna beat Patrick Mahomes kicking field goals.
Well, that that's the general consensus on a lot of teams.
Um, it's like Aaron Rodgers.
You know you can't beat him by by doing field goals.
Um, now the Denver Broncos, by the way, beat the Patriots on Lee kicking field goals.
They got six of them and never escorted.
That was the only points they score to beat the Patriots.
But yeah, you can beat Cam Newton coming off of Covert.
You can't beat Patrick Home homes Week 13.
No, no, that's That's two different scenarios to different teams.
Uh, you got a defensive team that was having offensive struggles at the time, so, yeah, you know, kicking field goals would get you the win.
This is a pretty healthy offense in the Kansas City Chiefs.
You're going to need to score points.
All right, Well, thank you so much.
Always great having you here, miss.
You being here earlier today, man. Yeah.
Yeah, Well, trust me, you guys were having a lot more fun than I was.
E no. This situation.

I mean, that would be an interesting situation.
