00:00:11
And the, um Okay.
00:00:37
So the Ravens lost yesterday, fell down to six and five.
00:00:41
And obviously, you know, I think a lot of Ravens fans aren't feeling too great about the law.
00:00:46
Steelers fans were feeling great.
00:00:47
Obviously, they swept the Ravens as they should be happy about that.
00:00:51
Steelers players as well as you can see Juju Smith.
00:00:54
Schuster decided Thio talk some trash on social media, even though he was burning a 35 or 37 year old cornerback who we just signed, like a week ago.
00:01:05
But go off, go ahead, feel free.
00:01:08
So for the Ravens fans, though, let's let's just talk specifically about the Ravens and why I believe that there's still fighting this team.
00:01:15
Why, I believe that there is reasons to be confident about the team going forward.
00:01:19
Why there are reasons to be optimistic about the rest of the schedule and why we should be optimistic and the fact that we could potentially still make the playoffs now the next game we have is against the Dallas Cowboys.
00:01:31
That one is at home.
00:01:32
It's gonna be on Tuesday night.
00:01:34
It's gonna be a Tuesday night primetime game.
00:01:36
I still like our chances against the Dallas Cowboys, even though you know the Ravens.
00:01:41
If you guys forgot we started off five and one, right.
00:01:44
I'm pretty sure that that's what we started off as with our only loss being to the Kansas City Chiefs, and then we kind of just delved into just this whole of losses that we just haven't been able to pull ourselves out of.
00:01:54
Obviously, the Steelers was the first one after the bye week where we barely lost 28 to 24 that was because of Lamar Jackson turning the football over.
00:02:03
Like I said, if one or two things go the Ravens way, they would have won that game.
00:02:07
Then you had the Patriots loss.
00:02:11
But you know, a lot of things also didn't go.
00:02:12
The Ravens way bad snaps, The rain, the monsoon and we just playing got outcoached by Bill Belichick.
00:02:20
So, you know again, one or two things go the Ravens way.
00:02:23
They probably could have won that game.
00:02:25
Then the Titans loss.
00:02:26
At one point, the Ravens were up 21 to 10.
00:02:29
They could have put the game away, but they didn't.
00:02:32
They decided to just allow the Titans to hang around, and the Titans ended up coming out with the win in overtime.
00:02:37
Another game that we put, we probably should have won, you know.
00:02:41
So that's three losses already.
00:02:43
And then this past loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers, where we lost 19 to 14, where half of our team was on the co vid list, and we still put up a good fight.
00:02:55
The defense played extremely well, and the offense, for the most part, was abysmal as it has been all season.
00:03:02
Really, The only spark of hope was that Trace McSorley throw two marquees Brown at the end of the game, and that was the last time that the Ravens offense got to touch the ball.
00:03:12
So if you think about it, man, the Ravens things haven't gone their way this season.
00:03:18
That's four out of the five losses that, in my opinion, could have been wins.
00:03:22
You know, if just one or two things swing the Ravens way, they win those games right? And I even argue the chief's game because we did lose by two touchdowns.
00:03:31
We lost by 14 points, but there was points in that game that we potentially could have made the comeback.
00:03:37
We were down by three at one point in the game and then we were down by a touchdown.
00:03:41
But obviously the Chiefs are the superior team.
00:03:43
I'm not trying to argue that we should have beat them, but listen, regardless, there's four games that we lost, that we could have potentially one, and it's really our own fault.
00:03:53
We shoot ourselves in the foot, things don't go our way.
00:03:56
So this is still a good team.
00:03:59
In my opinion, this is still a playoff team, and to be honest with you, this is our season right here.
00:04:04
This Cowboys game that we've got coming up, we cannot afford to have a letdown game.
00:04:08
If we have a letdown game against the Cowboys, if we just find a way to lose this game, you can pretty much pretty much kiss the playoffs goodbye because you have to win out pretty much.
00:04:19
That's the situation that we've put ourselves into by losing these games that we shouldn't have lost.
00:04:24
We put ourselves in a situation that we have to win out.
00:04:29
Hold on a second guys, I think I have a delivery, so I'll have to be right back.
00:04:35
I'll be right back.
00:04:36
Give me a second. All right? One sec.
00:05:42
All right, so we're back.
00:05:44
Sorry about that, fellas.
00:05:45
I had a delivery.
00:05:46
I had to go get it real quick.
00:05:47
It was outside my door.
00:05:49
Thank you, guys for waiting.
00:05:53
I'm still feeling confident about this season, you know, Like I said, I understand where six and five were just over 500 right now.
00:05:59
And there was a lot of games that, like I said, those losses.
00:06:03
At least four of those losses, in my opinion, could have been wins if one or two things go your way now the rest of the schedule is very favorable.
00:06:12
The rest of the Ravens schedule is very favorable.
00:06:14
You have the Dallas Cowboys.
00:06:17
Like I said on Tuesday night again, a game you should absolutely win.
00:06:21
There is no reason that you should have a letdown game.
00:06:23
So there's that.
00:06:25
And then you have the Cleveland Browns, and that's honestly, like looking at the schedule.
00:06:30
That's the last remaining tough came for the Baltimore Ravens that they do have and the But the reason that I feel confident about that game is if we have Brandon Williams and Kallias Campbell playing in that game, we should be able to stop the run now.
00:06:45
Maybe not stop the run, but definitely at least slow down what the Cleveland Browns like to do, which is run with both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt.
00:06:54
Right? But we're getting ahead of ourselves.
00:06:55
We have to focus on the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday.
00:06:58
We can't afford to overlook this team because the season is on the line.
00:07:02
We can't afford another loss.
00:07:04
We pretty much need to run the table from here on out.
00:07:07
Thio even be able to sniff the playoffs because teams in the A F C this season are way too good to afford, let down games, right? So that's the situation that we've put ourselves into.
00:07:18
We're kind of like we're kind of very similar to the situation that we were in in Lamar Jackson's rookie season, where he came in in lieu of Joe Flacco.
00:07:27
When Flacco got hurt and we were at four and five.
00:07:30
You guys remember we were at four and five and we essentially had toe win out just to even make the playoffs.
00:07:36
And not only did we went out to make the playoffs, but we actually ended up winning the A F C North as the Steelers had a huge collapse.
00:07:43
So that's not gonna happen this year.
00:07:45
Obviously, we're already out of a F C North contention with that loss yesterday that the Pittsburgh Pittsburgh Steelers, because they now have 11 wins and we have five wins.
00:07:54
So that means the best we can go is 11 and five and the worst the Steelers could go is 11 and five and that means that they will have the tiebreaker over us.
00:08:02
So we're not winning the division that's already out of the window.
00:08:05
At this point, you just got to be the underdog team in the playoffs.
00:08:09
That's that's really the role that we're going to be taking if we are able to make the playoffs.
00:08:14
And you know, I think we kind of thrive in that role because we were not necessarily the best team.
00:08:21
We don't that I keep saying it to people, Man.
00:08:24
Last year was a total outlier.
00:08:26
The Ravens season last year was a total outlier, going 14 and to being literally the best team in the A F C.
00:08:33
The number one seed Ravens air.
00:08:35
Never that good.
00:08:36
We've just never been like that team that were just dominant, right? And then look what happened in the playoffs.
00:08:43
We **** the bed and, uh, you know, everybody remembers, everybody talks **** about it, right? So now we're back in where we're usually pretty comfortable at, which is Underdog.
00:08:55
Nobody's taking us seriously.
00:08:56
We're just gonna be one of those teams that sneaks up behind you in the playoffs and takes you out, right? So I still like the chances for this team.
00:09:04
Like I said to run the table.
00:09:05
Like I said, You have the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday.
00:09:07
Then you have the Cleveland Browns on Monday night after that, that's when the schedule really softens up.
00:09:12
So if you can win against the Browns, your chances of running the table are go up very much so right, because you have the Giants.
00:09:22
Then you have the Jags.
00:09:23
And then you have the Bengals without Joe Burrow and the Giants Air.
00:09:27
Probably not even gonna have Daniel Jones at that point, either.
00:09:31
And the Bengals air the Bengals right, So Or the Jags of the Jacks, Right? So there's a very good chance if you could beat the Browns.
00:09:38
That's the last tough remaining game that you that you really do have on the schedule.
00:09:42
You go 11 and five, you sneak into the playoffs, you're either a six or seven seed, depending on how the seeding works.
00:09:49
And, you know, maybe you could surprise a team or two because something I want to say about yesterday's game men, the Steelers.
00:09:57
I think it's pretty clear that if you really watched both of the games that we played against them, if what again? If one or two things go our way, we win those games against the Steelers right in the first matchup.
00:10:08
If Lamar doesn't turn the football over four times, we probably win that game.
00:10:13
And then yesterday's match up against the Steelers in Heinz Field.
00:10:17
If we had an offense, if we had, like even a even an average offense, even a mediocre offense yesterday in that game, we would have won that game, shout out to the defense for playing as well as they did.
00:10:30
They really shut down the Steelers offense, men and I know they still put up 19 points.
00:10:35
Well, not even They only put up 12 points if you think about it, because, um, there was a pick six thrown by RG three.
00:10:41
So the defense was balling out yesterday.
00:10:44
They played lights out, shout out to the coroner's Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters.
00:10:48
They did what they could.
00:10:50
But then Marcus Peters obviously suffered that injury late in the game.
00:10:53
And Tramon Williams was asked, Thio, do a lot more and unfortunately, you know, you just can't You can't really can't really expect him to do too much as almost 40 year old man at this point.
00:11:05
Right? But of course Juju is gonna is gonna be, uh, is gonna be swinging his nuts around acting like he's the biggest deal and best receiver in the NFL after he just burnt a 38 year old cornerback but whatever.
00:11:19
So I still feel good about this team.
00:11:22
Like I said, you know, spirits are I'm trying to keep my spirits high.
00:11:27
You know, I'm not at all saying that the season is over with.
00:11:29
A lot of people are feeling negative after this loss.
00:11:32
That they probably should have won.
00:11:34
But like I said, if you're like me, you went into that game with the mindset that we're just gonna lose this game and anything that anything positive that happens is a pleasant surprise, right? So that's the mindset that I went into yesterday's game with, and I ended up not being disappointed.
00:11:48
I actually ended up being pleasantly surprised at the fight that this team put up another.
00:11:55
Another thing I wanted to mention, and I'm probably gonna get out of here fairly early, guys, because I have a lot of stuff to do.
00:12:01
I'm just honestly, a little bit stressed out today, but we don't have to get into that. That's not important.
00:12:06
You guys don't care about that.
00:12:07
You just want to hear me talk about the Ravens.
00:12:08
So, um yeah, it's I love the fight that the team put up there, man, with half of the team being on the co vid list with just a bunch of stuff like that for them to be able to put that fight in there.
00:12:25
I loved what I saw.
00:12:26
I love what I saw and it and it shows me that this team still has what it takes.
00:12:31
I still think that this is one of the best teams in the A f. C.
00:12:34
I understand, like it doesn't seem like it right after we've you suffered the losses that we have.
00:12:40
But I still do think that the Ravens air one of the top tier teams in the A F.
00:12:44
C. Regardless of the record.
00:12:46
Now, you are what your record says you are.
00:12:48
You know, I I understand that.
00:12:49
But I still think that this is an 11 and five team and at worst, probably a 10 and six team.
00:12:56
Now again, I don't know if 10 and six is gonna be good enough to make the playoffs this year, but we'll have to see Man basically Lamar as long as he comes back.
00:13:03
If he's healthy, he's put into the same situation.
00:13:06
Like I said that he was in his rookie season, that we need to win out and I I like our chances to do so I do.
00:13:14
I do like our chances of doing so, so we'll have to see how it goes men.
00:13:18
But that's honestly.
00:13:20
That's pretty much all I have to say, man.
00:13:22
Unfortunately, like I wish I could go a little bit longer.
00:13:25
Um, but like I said, kind of stressed out today, I have a lot of stuff that I need to do.
00:13:30
Hopefully, I'll be back on Monday and my spirits will be a little bit higher.
00:13:35
And we'll get to talk about the game.
00:13:37
The upcoming game, A little bit more.
00:13:38
Uh, maybe I'll stream this weekend.
00:13:41
I don't know, man. To be honest, we'll let you know.
00:13:43
But again, I'm not.
00:13:44
I'm not upset about the loss, guys.
00:13:46
I don't want because I know once I upload this to YouTube, Steelers fans, they're going to come in and say, Oh, you're so depressed because because we beat you.
00:13:54
All right, so just get that out of your mind.
00:13:56
But thank you guys for watching.
00:13:58
I'm gonna go ahead and get on out of here.
00:14:00
Sorry for the short stream men, but it is what it is.
00:14:03
But thanks so much for watching.
00:14:05
And I'll see you in the next one.
