Uh, welcome to the NFL Mock draft show Edition one.
We're gonna do this weekly.
I'm gonna do this weekly.
I'm joined by Sam Fetterman of Power Sports Power.
Our podcast, FAM.
You and I have not done a show together in a very long time.
Yeah, it's been a long time since you've been on mine, or I've been on yours, for that matter, if it's been a while, But I'm glad that we're back here.
Um, and we're getting ready.
Obviously, it's December.
The draft is not until late April, but it's never too early to start talking about the NFL draft.
And I did my first market draft the day after the draft. Finished.
Ah, that was funny.
So, you know, it's never never too early.
Eso you here in the first week of December before we begin, I'm gonna go ahead and show you guys my big board before I show you guys my big board.
I would like to just announce, um, honorable mentions from my big board, which I know.
Some people might be mad that I did not put so on ticktock the other day, I did a video on Rondell More out of Purdue.
Uh, he's a guy left out of there.
And I'll tell you right now, you're not going to see today.
You're not gonna hear his name today, although I really do like him.
But for now, I just thought there was guys better than him.
So I have more lit up college football in his debut around Gilmore is insane.
And he only played four games last year and two this year, so I mean, right, But in his freshman year, he won the Yeah, he was incredibly first team.
All these incredible Big 10 wide receiver, freshman of the year, 2215 all purpose yards.
Um, it's freshman season. He's incredible.
Um also Terrence Marshall Junior, who, actually, I believe, opted out, uh, the other day as well for l s U uh, Christian Darius saw perhaps that correctly tackle from Virginia Tech.
I left out of there, um, and a guy that well, this is the biggest shocker.
The guy that I believe I had going I'll tell you where I had e find a guy that I had going in the mock draft.
I'll say that was also an honorable mention of mine who, I guarantee will be the next one will just kind of see how it plays out.
And that is Joseph Asai at a Texas.
Oh, yeah, that's crazy.
He's He didn't make your top 25.
He did not make my top 25.
No, let's take a look at what the top 25 is now.
I think we can understand the first part of it.
And that is that here.
I'm only going to share my screen for the big border.
Then I'll share my screen for the mock draft after the whole mock draft. Done.
So let's take a look. My top 25 here.
Obviously, we've got Lawrence to start off at a quarterback from Clemson.
We can barely see.
You could barely see.
Really? Oh, yeah.
Is that better? Yeah, that's much better.
Good. Alright, Trevor. Lord, you're it.
You're You have fields at four.
Yeah, I do have feel that for so, uh, I'm pretty sure I still don't think this is pain.
That's how you say tonight. School? Yeah.
School and then you should You should remove the banner.
I shouldn't move the matter.
Yeah, there's nothing better.
Stop blocking anything.
But you should remove it anyway.
You don't e I will.
Um, so but I still Yeah.
Here's the interesting one where it starts.
Justin Fields at four.
Why do you have fields that for? I'll tell you why.
I feel that for And I know I really, you know don't like going to this, but, you know, I Well, the reason I feel that for, actually, you know, I'm actually gonna change my argument because I had something before, but I don't like another thing, but I just think that Parsons School and Lawrence, I think are the clear top three, in my opinion.
I don't buy that.
I'll say persons in any way anywhere.
Just I like full for sure.
But Justin fields at the but you value the most valuable position, which is the quarterback position.
You're valuing it right now.
Less than physicians that are not the quarterback position and fields is.
If it weren't for Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields would be Would the new York Jets would be enamored with him.
I think that and and you look at Justin Fields, he is one of college football's.
I think that he is the best college quarterback now.
I think Lawrence the better NFL prospect.
But I think Justin Fields is a better college quarterback and there aren't.
There aren't very many throws that Lawrence can make.
The fields can, right? Right? And I agree with Fields and Fields is a better runner.
Well, there's a better runner than lines. That's true.
And and, e I mean, Lawrence is just His poise is insane.
His poison was saying his size is insane.
His arm strength and everything is Dustin Field.
But with Justin Fields, he's I don't understand how you have him at four, given that it's the most valuable position and he's and he's not generational.
But he's a number one pick most other years, all right, and, um and that's definitely fair that you're saying that.
But I'll tell you what Here about fields, we just pull up here.
I had something.
Where to go? Oh, God.
So, um, here's my thing with fields.
I really think that he needs to be smarter when he's got the football.
What I mean is that he holds the ball for, in my opinion, too long.
And that could cause some miss throws.
Especially, You know, it's a different league, and especially against those blitzing defense is that in college is one thing.
I know he plays in the Big 10.
It wants to be when you do it yourself.
He did take 31 sacks last year, buying one of the best with college football.
That's my second thing.
He takes the ***, he takes too many ***, and if you're going to go to a team in the top five like the dreads Jags, you know anybody who's gonna finish top five, there's a solid chance they're not gonna have a good offensive line.
When I say good.
I mean compared to the players that blocking with with a clean pocket last year.
Justin Fields 33 touchdowns, two interceptions, 24 big time throws, Full turnover worthy fluids.
Alright, this I don't have the numbers for this year, but if you can build a fence if you hard you have your offensive line, which a lot of it, which teams don't but fields behind a good offensive line as as long as as long as he's able.
If you get him a good offensive line, he is going to be one of the best quarterback in the NFL, but behind the weaker offensive line, he will freeze.
But what is that? But I don't believe that there, but, yeah, I did.
But I don't believe that you can afford to pack that.
You can afford to say that you that you rank soul and Parsons ahead of him because of the because of what feels able to bring the his arm and legs right.
I'll tell you what Sul is.
He's He's very special for sure.
He last Last season, he allowed seven pressures on 472 past six e.
He opted out of this season.
The last season he had a 95.
Yeah, well, tackle is undoubtedly the second most important position on offense.
Wow, really, He's 60 on, and he was the number one tackle in college football at age 19.
Alright, we're going to talk about these guys more in depth phones.
We get into the box draft when we're going to go pick my pick.
At number five me.
Re share here at number five.
I've got Jamaar chaise wide receiver out of L s U number six Patrick's who trained the second corner out of Alabama.
Now the reason I had, you know, actually again I will actually get toe.
We'll get those who trained. So never mind.
I'll tell you why. And then seven.
Gregory Russo, uh, from Miami, who was an excellent player.
Caleb, Fairly corner from Virginia Tech nine.
Zach Wilson at a BYU.
Trey Lance, the quarterback from North Dakota State. 11.
I have tight end Kyle Pits at a Florida.
Why it, Davis? The interior offense alignment out of Ohio State's my number 12.
Yeah, he's excellent.
I don't know how to pronounce this guy's name, although I was looking at scouting reports for him, and it's pretty pay.
Is it quickly pay equity pay.
I'm not 100% sure, but that's what I'm gonna call him.
I was looking at kind of reports of where he could dio I saw mock drafts having him going like top 10.
Um, e I mean, yeah, he's got He's got size at 64 to 72 right? Devante Smith out of Alabama.
I think we all kind of understand why he's a top 15 player in this draft.
Ah, Sean Wade corner out of Ohio State's my 15th player, Jaylen Waddle.
He's hurt. I understand that.
But he's should be good to go by the start of next year's NFL season.
And Waddle is also an extremely electric football player.
Got Dylan Moses from Alabama at 17 Here.
Um, at 18, I have Jeremiah Yokosuka, Ramallah, linebacker from Notre Dame, me and Josh.
Clemson game where he had, like, a fumble recovery touchdown.
I believe he had a pick to.
He had a force for good.
He's been great.
19 of the best running back in college football.
One of the best runners they were in terms of well, he leads the A C C all time in yards and touchdowns.
Travis et en They're running back from Clemson.
Alex Leatherwood, tackle from Alabama, is my 20th player.
Were shot. Bateman.
Ah, wide receiver.
I have Minnesota is 21.
Samuel cause me. Tackle from Texas.
Humphrey, the interior offensive linemen from Oklahoma at 23.
Ah, corner from South Carolina.
Carlos Bash from Junior edge from Wake Forest.
Which, by the way, Josh I know, really wants him for the Ravens.
If there's no if there's no good receivers available, I'm pretty sure he's told me that.
I mean, yeah, you guys are going to take either receiver or nut crusher, right? Absolutely.
All right, Let's go.
Let's unless something major happens and say, like, Lamar suffers a career ending injury or someone suffers or someone suffers a career ending injury and you need to replace them.
That's pretty much the only way that you wouldn't draft a receiver.
Earn edge, right? Absolutely.
All right, let's go to our mock draft.
I don't have the banners up for this, uh, future weeks.
I probably will.
Number number one? Yep.
I think there's no surprise I have Trevor Lawrence going to The New York Times.
By the way, This, uh, draft does include trades.
Trevor Lawrence, what more is there to say? Uh, £210 He was a five star recruit coming out of high school.
He is one of the greatest quarterbacks.
You see it in college football.
This guy is physically gifted.
The size, arm, strength, athleticism.
He does everything well.
It's football like you.
Defense is I mean, I don't even know would.
There's really not many bad things to say about you could say similar to Justin Fields.
He occasionally holds the ball for a bit too long, but like it just seems it comes natural to him.
Just getting the ball to the right receivers.
Yet he, I mean, his pocket presence.
His poise is off the charts.
I don't think I don't think I've ever seen a college quarterback with that.
Is Mawr advanced? Mhm.
I I'm and I watched.
I've been watching college football for a decade now, and I'd say Andrew Luck was more physically gifted.
But he, Trevor Lawrence his poise.
I mean, I'm just called.
I'm just gonna talk about poise.
I could talk about Forever Lawrence poised from now until the draft.
Okay, that's that's how impressive it is.
He's against the blitz.
Against the blitz and he and he's got a cannon.
Now here's the thing.
Here's the thing.
It's kind of simple, from a from an NFL perspective with a with incredible talent receiver and a good offensive line.
He also he also tends to he also tends to look at.
He also tends to lock onto his first read in a one on one situation, and sometimes it doesn't work out right.
That was pretty much the Onley knocks on him.
And when he does not like occasionally, he on Lee what he locks on, but like he could find like they'd open man, if there were pretty much just looking for something to knock right, we're pretty much yeah for some players you confined.
It's kind of obvious something's.
But for Trevor, actually, all right, here's the Here's the other knock on him.
He's not in elite Rusher, that's it.
Which, which, by the way, he can run the ball.
Yeah, he can run the ball pretty well.
I mean, he's no, he's no elite Russia, right? He's no, no Lamar Jackson.
But he's no, he's not Justin Field, but he's not just a fields exactly, but he's but He's a tank.
He's saying he's hard to bring down to 99 rushing touchdowns last year.
Yeah, and there was a couple of glowered.
His shoulder went into the Yeah, he and man.
When I When I see when I see Trevor Lawrence lower his shoulder, I get I get a little nervous.
God, don't let someone lead into his head, right? Right.
He's my number one player for obvious reasons.
All right, let's go to pick to hear another pretty easy pick for me.
Jacksonville goes quarterback as well.
That go Justin Fields at Ohio State.
He was my number four player, although Tab four could be interchangeable except, I think tonight, a Peninsula Trevor Lawrence.
But so two and three and four persons field.
Jacksonville hasn't had a franchise quarterback in the history of their franchise.
They thought they had won with portals, didn't work out.
Thought they had on the flows. Didn't work.
Brunel was kind of a franchise guy.
Rard left, which I mean, I don't think they're really franchise guy left.
This is a franchise guy.
This is a number one pick and not last year's draft is a borough.
This this is a number one pick in Tyler's here.
This is the number one pick in Winston's here.
This is the number one pick in golf.
Here is the number one picking Winston's here? Yes.
And those Those were the last times quarterback for take.
Unless I'm completely spouting out.
Oh, and he's And he speaks better than Mayfield.
They feel to it, right? Right.
So, literally 55 out of the last six times four of the last six times that a quarterback has been taken.
So Andrew Luck's here.
He's not, so All right.
For the last five times quarterbacks been taken number one overall, he would have been better.
Would have been better.
Right? And this guy is gonna be this guy is gonna be the number two day, right? Number two pick going in Jacksonville.
Um, so I think even though Jacksonville doesn't get Lawrence, I think they still obviously do really well with field 63 £223.
I can't wait to see what he runs.
Hey was born, um, 12 days and eight years before May.
I don't know why I said that way.
41 touchdowns, Three picks last year.
You know, Sam, he coming into the Indiana game, so I'm not going to catch the Indiana game.
But coming into the Indiana game, he did not throw a single incompletion in the first quarter.
He threw three against Indiana, including two interceptions, which, by the way, were his first two.
Can we talk about a 79% completion percentage this year? Everything.
The stats are insane for him.
Yes, everything points to him being, I mean, when I I mean last year.
Last year last year, Joe Burrow had a 76.
3 completion percentage, and Bertrand Fields is higher than that.
And Fields also has, ah, higher passer rating.
As of right now.
Yeah, and I'll tell you what, uh, Sam field stats make you say, Oh, he's the number one player.
Now look at Lawrence's stats.
No, it feels numbers are better than Lawrence.
Well, fields number. I will.
Okay, let me let me go free.
And that's that's I'm saying state.
Now Look at Lawrence as in playing the game fields numbers are better field, so I think he's a better cop.
That's why I think he's a quarterback.
It's not something to agree with. It's a fact.
Fields has better stats.
E agree that he's probably better college quarterback.
He is a better college quarterback.
I mean, he's he's special.
But so Trevor Lawrence, you watch him play and you and his ceiling like Trevor Lawrence has probably the highest floor of a player I've ever Yeah, at the quarterback position E.
Yeah, it's not like he's got a little ceiling either.
He's got a super high ceiling, but when it comes to a floor, I don't think I've ever seen a higher floor.
Alright, we gotta move on.
We we don't have too much time.
Alright at three Cincinnati.
They go ahead and grab some protection for Joe Burrow because he needs that.
They grabbed the second best player in this draft, and that is that.
I saw a lot of Oregon Sam, so he's a tackle guard.
Hey was guarding Justin Harbor.
He was a four star recruit out of high school.
65 £325 Again, this is the best offensive lineman prospect since Laramie. Tunsil.
This guy is 20 years old.
He's young, very young, Um, and he's on Lee going to get better as he matures.
Like there's nowhere this guy could go, but he is one of the best.
Well, he's one of the best run blockers we've seen in a very, very long time.
And Joe Mixon, a guy who I believe next year's a contract year for him or did they just give him a contract? I don't know if they gave him a contract.
I think next year is the year, right? I'm not sure, right.
But the point is, mixing wants to prove himself, and you can't really do it behind that off of the line, can you? I mean, get a left tackle.
If you're not thinking about your running back when you're getting tackled, getting your back protect quarterback, you left tackle is your second most important position on your off of this.
And the Bengals, they're going to get Joe Burrow at quarterback, the most important position on your team and your second most important position on your offense.
But I sold right there are.
You could say That's bad about that.
And you know what? I honestly, when I look at school, he might be a bit.
He might be a better prospect than Tunsil.
Yeah, all right at four. Dallas.
So Ah, Sam, let's talk about Dallas.
What do you think Dallas needs? I'm very interested to see what they do at the quarterback position.
Will they bring back Dak Prescott? If so, how much money? How many years? Because this is a stack quarterback class.
If they end up with the fourth pick, you might be thinking that they that they shouldn't pay Dak Prescott.
Yeah, but they also if you look at their team, they have obvious defensive needs.
They need to get younger in their front seven, especially on their defensive line.
There there, dear relatively young in their linebackers.
Van direction Smith.
They need to get younger on their defensive line.
I like I still like the Marcus Lawrence.
I don't know why people e don't know why people are souring on him.
He's having a good year, but yeah, I mean, Aldon Smith is not the future.
The future for the Cowboys they need, They need to fight.
And they also need corners.
Jaycee's they need They need an entire defense.
Except for except for an inside linebacker.
Fields in Lawrence are off the board.
We're gonna go ahead, and what they decide to do is trade.
Oh, so you're so in this scenario, Are they extending Dak Prescott or not? Ah, yes.
How much? I don't know.
Who are they Trading the pick to Miami.
Miami? What? What is Miami trading them.
Ready? So Dallas gives them their first round pick, pick number four and their seventh round pick.
Give me a second. Let me put the value chart.
And they were seventh round pick next year.
All right. All right. Let's do this.
Um, you So So? So they're the fourth overall pick is worth 1800.
Give me a second.
Let me write that in e Didn't take money into the I e.
No, Like in value points.
I think it's like Jimmy Johnson's.
Yeah, Jimmy Johnson.
What's the next picture giving up? Giving them next year.
Seventh next year.
Seventh a future seven that's worth like.
I was like, Wow, that's 10 points! Four points.
Alright, And that's all they're giving them.
And they're getting.
They're getting the 11th overall pick Originally from Houston, That's from Houston.
Yes, there are 50.
They're getting the 22nd overall pick.
They're also getting the 85th overall pick.
That's 1 65 and I'm not done.
They're getting they're giving them or the Cowboys air getting next year's fourth.
Okay, that's probably worth about 20 to force 60 points.
So it's a two first round picks.
And by that this is only a one round mock draft.
The two first round picks and they will be, too.
I thinking, starting like, um, March.
Yeah, so it's gonna be one for a while, but so they have two first round picks for one in terms of what the effect is of this trade.
That that Zatz relatively even e I mean I mean, I'd take Dallas wins.
Ah, I said Alice wants to now Miami have four.
What do they decide to do? Let's see what they have coming up.
They know Philly at six is gonna really, you know, is targeting some players, playmakers, some playmakers on the defense.
So you're saying, Oh, they want defense of playmakers? I'm thinking often in Miami decides they want.
They also want a defensive playmaker.
They don't want Philly to grab him at six.
They trade up for Micah Parsons at four.
Michael Parsons, linebacker out of Penn State.
People think, Oh, they're training up.
Maybe they're gonna grab Jamaar Chase.
No, they got That's exactly what I was thinking, right? They go Park Parsons, though I like him for sure.
He's a great prospect.
You have in third, which is which blows my mind, you know, 6 to £245 in terms of athleticism.
What? You what you want what you want from a passing or run stopping perspective.
He's got, He's got, He's got the whole package.
He's quick, he's athletic.
Um, he's quick off the edge, and he's not even an outside linebacker.
And I believe, um, so he is a guy.
I mean, yeah, yeah.
He played everything.
Uh, down in Happy Valley.
Didn't play this year.
He opted out to focus on the draft.
That doesn't do anything to stock, though.
Um, he literally had one bad game last year and it was Maryland.
Yeah, his my issue with him does come in coverage.
Okay, is not like he's not a playmaker in coverage, but he's a playmaker in stopping the run and he's a playmaker in and he's a playmaker in the pass rush.
Okay, so he can he can be.
He can play inside and on the side.
I think he's a little think he's a little bit small to play that out to play as an edge rusher.
He's 6263 wherever he's somewhere there, Um, I'll tell you what.
He also does not miss tackles, but he's solid, and coverage is a thing.
E think he's okay in coverage.
He's slightly above average and coverage.
I'm not gonna have on Parsons before we move on to the Chargers at 51 Knock.
My one knock on Parsons is that the way is the way he tackles could be dangerous when it comes to penalties.
I mean, crazy house, right besides that, but he's also just kind of got a the more mature and tackling.
He's got it like the where, where he tackles, like mention the location of the tackle because that could have penalties that could also cause it.
He's got to improve on that.
But I think he can, because he's also fast learner.
At five, the Chargers go ahead.
They go corner, they go.
Patrick's to train out of, uh, this is a second or certain Z.
Josh got 10 e tan certain.
You're right, because Josh got stuck in my head that it's to train.
But then I looked it up and it's so tan.
But then, Okay, you're right.
So certain Sorry.
Ser tan And, uh, Sam, do you think it's the right move to go corner here on at five for the Chargers? Yeah.
I mean, let's let's take a look at your board.
Who they They have their They have their receivers, Really? I mean, you could the move.
I could see them going with is offensive line, right? I could see that, too, but I think right now I'm not really sure.
I think maybe a bit too early for Wyatt Davis.
and that's the next best offensive lineman yet.
Either way, it is too early for God, right? It's too early for a guard.
That's not a generational player like not not generational.
It's too early for you.
Don't reach for a guard in the top five.
Okay, so they take Patrick certain.
Alright, now six.
We've got Philly and this is another interesting pick Here.
They were probably gonna take persons.
They go with the player.
It was really for Miami was between Chase and Parsons, I guess, really.
For Eagles, it's really whoever's there. Left, I think.
Eagles go chase game changer.
He's a game changer of a player's keys.
Insane Jamaar Chase.
One is one of favorite players in this whole draft.
He faced a lot of press coverage last year, and he was.
He also, and he's.
He dropped the ball just five times on 121 targets.
He made 684 yards after the catch, 431 yards after contact.
Out of his 93 catchable targets, he had 84 receptions and five drops.
His average depth of target was 14.
Um, I'm pretty sure that would be the highest in the NFL.
That would be That's this guy.
He's teasing C I.
That last fever.
All right, we've got to really go quick.
Jamaar Chase, though 61 £208 catches everything a Sam mentioned only dropped.
It was the five passes, right? Yeah.
I mean, it's not like the Five Drops isn't like I've seen better, but for a college receiver with that many targets, it's pretty insane.
Yes, with Borough and Justin Jefferson, I should add competing with him.
Uh, in 2019 as a true sop****re, Chase said.
The single season SEC record for receiving yards and touchdowns not only had it for that year, Andy.
And if you want to go and if you want a deep threat Mhm.
This this is the guy.
This is the guy.
But the thing, I guess if I talk about cons, I'd say the size 61 Um, that's the only knock can you bring? I mean, I can see that, and the athleticism isn't elite but his skills, but his ball skills circuit that his ball skills air there.
Right? And their obvious to all right.
Seven Carolina Panthers, They go Sean Wade, corner from Ohio State.
Okay, I mean, waiting My, um 15 player when you look OK, I'm not a guy on a son.
He's he's put I just I'm not 100%.
I'm not 100% convinced on him.
A lot of people say Panthers quarterback, you know, saying that I hate that, um, Panthers quarterback.
I think Bridgewater's the I mean, obviously, I I No, no, I don't think he is the long term guy, but he's a short term guy for sure.
They're They're They're not They're not draft.
They're not drafting a quarterback this year.
Yeah, I yeah, I just can't I don't think you really can convince me that they are driving quarterback this year.
Or at least right now.
You can't get with me.
All right, So, uh so, Yeah, Sean, wait.
And Ohio State goes there.
All right, now, there are very, very, very interesting pick here.
We've got a quarterback going here at eight.
That's right at quarterback.
And I'll tell you right now, let me just wanna found this on tick tock.
Uh, what why you have headphones on.
So, like, you're not gonna hear me.
I'll just take bits of it from from the broadcast.
Okay? Never mind.
Yeah, just like note the like.
Note that we're at 39.
18, right? Yeah, I know, I know. Alright.
The Washington football team select Zach Wilson, quarterback from BYU.
I mean, Wilson is Wilson is Absolutely.
He's been one of the best.
He's been one of the best in college football this year.
His stock has risen a lot.
Um, his He grades out.
He grades out pretty darn well in a in pretty much every metric.
He's the number one.
He's Pff's number one quarterback so far in college football this year. He's not there.
I think he's their number four quarterback for the draft, but I mean maybe five, but like, that's the thing you can see so many different quarterbacks that are.
There's so many quarterbacks in this draft that there's gonna be scrutiny no matter who a team takes outside of the top two within the quarterback.
Right? All right.
One thing I want to say about Zach Wilson is that this is not the pick.
This is not the pick if he loses to keep Coastal Carolina, uh, this week, or get this week right to playing the playing on Saturday, Coastal Carolina.
If he loses or if he doesn't play well, well, I think he's got a if he doesn't play well, I think it was Coastal Carolina's toe.
What, 15, 18, 15? Some like that? No, there's a difference between not playing well.
Well, he's being you.
I get, I get it.
But winds aren't quarterbacks that you can play well in losing.
You could play poorly and win.
You can't go ahead.
What you should be saying is if he doesn't play well against Coastal Carolina, if he doesn't put fine, yeah, But this year this year, he's this year from a from just a pure numbers perspective, Wilson's been the best quarterback in college football.
Obviously, I wouldn't give him the highest because he's playing at BYU, which is which is not a major, which, which is it's a major program.
It's not in a major conference, it's a major.
It's not a major football program.
Uh, Major ballpark won that championship while ago.
A while ago, right? A while back.
It's a major football program right now.
It's not a major football program.
I mean, he zoomed up draft boards.
So last year last year he had hit 14 turnover worthy plays.
11 touchdowns, nine picked, only 14 big time throws.
I mean, Ben DeNucci had more big time Rose than him last year.
Okay, that's that's interesting, actually, James Madison.
But that's pretty cool.
Uh, it actually is. It's pretty cool.
Um, but Wilson, I like him.
I'm just I'm just not sure yet.
Like there's six quarterbacks in this draft that you could see in the first round.
Yeah, there's a quarterback.
You could see the first round.
Alright, let's Let's move on.
Yeah, Me too. Yeah, absolutely.
Detroit Lions go Devante Smith, wide receiver from Alabama.
So this so they're losing Golladay is what you're saying? Mhm.
Is there a way they take Smith with God is still there? Highly doubt it.
I know, but they have.
They have other needs on that team.
I think they want Wilson.
But since Wilson's not there, you could say they either trade down or no, but they have.
They have other needs on the team that they would address before the receiver spot if they bring back holiday.
All right? And I see that.
So I guess No, no Golladay in this.
Okay? And Devante Smith is one of the best wide receiver in college football.
He's Hey, uh, hey, he has not he all right, He Elijah Moore has been the best in college football this season, but devante Smith has is up over 1000 yards.
He's got 72 catches.
He's been clucked.
He's been doing it his entire career with Alabama.
He's certainly a guy that you can that you can say is that you could say, Ah, he's probably the second best receiver in this draft.
E had had a not too.
He was my, um my number 54 14 player. Okay, 14.
Yeah, I like I like Smith.
I think I think that Alabama is turning into a wide receiver.
You all right? We got to move on.
All right? Yeah.
Atlanta goes ahead and they take quarterback.
Train lands from north Dakota State.
All right, all right.
I understand that album Atlanta would take your quarterback.
It just shocks me that you have them taking a quarterback.
Why? Because Because I always know that because I know that you've always felt that.
I mean, I don't remember what you say about Matt Ryan, but I didn't think I didn't think.
I thought you felt that, like Ryan was like, I didn't realize that you felt Ryan was done.
No, I don't think I I think I think just I see the thing is, I don't think you're saying he doesn't get it done.
I mean, but they have holds up.
All right, here's Here's my thing.
I actually like to pick. Ah, lot.
Draft quarterback from units.
Huge proponent of that, right? Proponents of draft your quarterback 100 fast, right? And we all know I think we could We agree Trey lands is not a start a year.
Is that so? I think he sits behind Ryan a year.
And then you go and tofu.
You need to go ahead and you end up with him after you.
Yeah, If you look it.
If you look at his numbers, he's He's got a pretty darn good.
You got pretty darn good numbers he had.
He also He also had a decent amount of time to throw, but not like a crazy amount.
It's not, But the knock on him is is the competition he faced.
He's never seen anything the speed of, let alone of NFL, let alone college.
Sorry, End of college, of a of a major school, let alone let alone the NFL.
That's not a knock.
He can't control that.
He's got He has a cannon.
That was a top 10.
We already 45 minutes and we've only gone through 10.
So this, Yeah, we're going to speed through now.
Okay, So Miami had picked 11 that was traded to Dallas.
Dallas goes ahead and steals Gregory Russo out of Miami.
I like the pick.
I really like to think so is definitely the best guy.
Yeah, he's 65 to 60.
I mean, he is huge.
He's like he's got, um, like and look heat.
Look, he's 67 Is he 67? Wow, that's what? Pff.
The draft number chasm at 65 All right, this this Pff.
Listen at 66 All right, let's compromise project.
That's why they've still got Lawrence.
And I think all the Smith for one more year.
But, man, Gregor yourself is a guy that is a guy that I've watched a little bit of.
He's still he's very raw.
He still needs toe.
Learn how to use his How Thio uses Bob.
Yes, he needs to learn to use his.
He needs to learn how to use power, and he'll he will.
He can win, But he can't win that many ways.
And he isn't the greatest of run stoppers.
Pass rusher, though.
Yeah, All right, So, um, or the next couple of picks are kind of boring, uh, to be completely honest until pick 15, which is Sam's patriots.
He knows who they're taken.
But you guys don't know yet. Alright.
12 Denver goes ahead.
They'd go corner.
I don't think it's a surprise to anyone.
Caleb Fairly from Virginia Tech, 13.
Chicago also goes corner, even though they have, you know, Fuller and shots and they go with, um e think of pronouncing his name correctly.
JC Horn from South Carolina.
Yeah, I think you're getting it.
Yeah, I think I think I got it.
So do you think that's the right pick in terms off? You know, position? Even though they got Johnson and I mean, I think they I think they're taking I think the Bears are taking a quarterback.
I think they take quarterback later.
I mean, I think that there is, I think the Bears are taking a quarterback in the first round.
Well, that's and alright, next pick.
Alright, The next chick Minnesota takes White Davis at 14.
Davis is good on and they need it.
They badly need interior, offensive line or offensive line in general.
Just anything there you can go that or you could grab a corner but the corners already off the board.
Why Davis? Maybe like a couple of spots ahead of where you could put him. But that's a good pick.
Ah, next 15 New England Kyle pits tied at in Florida.
I think that I look, I love Kyle fits this series and is insane, but I doubt that if Trask or Jones or any of the quarterbacks air available that the Patriots would pass on one of them, Um, here, Actually, this is a good pick.
A good question.
We actually had him trade up using the Houston pick.
They go at four.
They grab Michael Parsons, linebacker from Penn State.
They give Dallas both of their other first round picks in a bunch more, UM, which Dallas turns into Gregory Russo and one more player at 22.
Yeah, pits, though.
He's an awesome tight end, and and I mean, there is And there's no way you could watch this guy and say that he and say that he's not like Bond say that he's not special like, but I'm not sure that I mean 66 to 40.
I'm just not sure the Patriots are going toe.
Want a go tight end? When we took to last year, e mean, obviously, Ozzie, Ozzie and Keen haven't done much or or one on Lee.
One catch for, I think, eight yards between them on one target.
But yes, tight end is obviously a need for the Patriots, but quarterback is likely going to be a bigger one.
Okay, and I see that.
But I think 15 too early for Trask, 15 is too early for Jones.
Sanford's Patriots have a propensity for trading down.
They dio 15, Stanford 60. San Francisco.
Eric Stokes, corner from Georgia.
Okay, so another corner.
And, by the way, this mock draft.
It's the same order, but it's not counting the Ravens.
Pick 17, I think would be Baltimore than 18 would be Vegas in this order because the Ravens lost yesterday and this order Ravens had played one less game than the Raiders.
It doesn't matter whatever.
All right, so 17 18.
Either way, we will be the same players.
Raiders take Dylan Moses, linebacker of Alabama.
That's a good pick.
Really excited with Dylan.
Moses is one of my favorite players in this draft.
Without a doubt, I have.
I loved watching him.
He was out, was out last year, but hey was great when he did play.
The Baltimore Ravens go with there with a wide receiver.
They go with Jalen Waddle out of Alabama.
Ozzie Newsome was our general manager, which feels like forever ago even there was only, like, three years ago, by the way, and the cost is one of the best in football.
Um, he's probably the best.
Um, but I appreciate the comments.
Very positive comments, but way had a Ozzie Newsome always drive a guy from Alabama, which makes sense to me.
That's just place.
I'm forgetting the word, but I'm a martyr. Thank you.
Waddle Bama to the Ravens.
Here's my problem.
What's your problem? I see I see too much.
I see too much of Hollywood in him of with speed and his and he dropped.
He dropped four of 37 catchable targets last season and coming off an injury, he is, uh, much bigger injury than Hollywood, but oh, no, I'm not even thinking about an injury for Hollywood.
I'm just thinking about, like, the speed and the and the and the and the kind of and the unrefined hands.
It's true, but he's got a large catch radius, which you think you might not be able to say about Hollywood.
Yeah, I mean, larger.
A larger catch radius, a larger catch radius. Right.
Um and he's like he could go up and get those like he could extend toe, grab the passes.
All right, um, let's go.
19 that this is the edge from Michigan going to the Giants.
That's where I giants at 19.
Because they're on top of the division.
Oh, my God, man.
Yeah, e have not done too much on him.
Ah, he's 64 £277.
Then I could tell you he's 22 years old.
All right, Cardinals go corner a lot of corners corner from Florida State.
Asante Samuel Jr.
Yes, I like him.
You know what? You know why I like him? What? Do you like him? Because I haven't seen him dropping interception in the Super Bowl yet.
I was waiting out there yet so Asante Samuel Jr still haven't forgiven him.
Think we understand E Asante Samuel should probably be a Hall of Famer.
Right? But then there's that he's Asante Samuel Junior.
Uh, eso He's son of Asante Samuel.
So, um, former NFL Corner.
All right, So yeah, so they could take us on sale in 21.
Tampa Bay takes Joseph a sigh and edge from Texas.
Yeah, I definitely think he's going to go in the first round.
Yeah, I'm gonna go defense.
The other cowboys trade pick that they got from Miami.
They take Paulson A data from a corner from Stanford.
Oh, you have the cash When you first in the nickel corner.
Okay, I can see that.
And now it's time for something you guys will see.
It's a new cool addition Here.
It's time for the Jersey swab pick.
So, one pick per draft, that's, like, very intriguing.
My Jersey swap pick.
Because I make a jersey swapped for it.
It's the Colts by the same, you know, over here.
You know what this is? Philip Rivers was my number nine quarterback coming into the year, and he that's wrong.
That is very wrong.
He is lower now.
Hopefully significantly lower.
Hopefully not in the top 20.
He's outside the top 15.
All right, we got it.
We just keep going.
So, um, he's just not a long term guy.
He's getting up there in age.
He's in this one of his final years and they're going to go quarterback.
They're going to go ahead and they take Kyle Trask out of Florida.
I got to take over. The better they take college.
Basket of Florida, In my opinion, the Heisman favorite, as of right now, for sure.
Yeah, he's my husband.
So they take Trask What you think about swab.
By the way, I thought I thought I like elegant personally.
I mean, I think it's a decent swab.
Thank you. Thank you.
So, yeah, I picked care of my jury swapping Kyle Trask.
Going to the Colts.
Trask is traffic is a good quarterback for sure.
He's really shown himself this year.
I mean, last year, the concerns about him where the last year the concerns about him were, you could you could make a lot of concerns for him last year it And this year he's really came into his own.
This guy is 65 Yeah, for sure.
God, um, Cleveland 24.
What's new car? A mullah linebacker out of your own name. Alright.
Jacksonville at 25 they have this trade from the Rams.
The Rams and the Jalen Ramsey trade Rams. Ramsey Trade.
They go tight end Pat, Friar moved from Penn State.
He is more of a traditional style titan than, uh, it is a model for sure.
Yeah, but Pitts has tight end size, right? But why receiver flatter Susan and catching and all that? Yeah, I've what I've seen out of Friar me for sure.
He's a big red zone guy, too.
We're on only one drop on 45 catchable last year.
Alright, tight end. Yeah.
I mean, did they target him a lot too? So that's gonna be fields now with Fried Ruth.
They have this pick from Seattle for in the Jamal Adams trade.
They took Lawrence.
They're gonna go ahead and grab Lawrence, a receiver.
Rashad Bateman for Minnesota.
I love statement.
Like he's a He's a player.
This that I've liked that I liked a lot.
He I mean your issues with him there is not there.
There are so many issues, but his He's a guy that I that I like for sure in his draft.
He's probably He's a guy that I could see, maybe not being like Justin Jefferson.
But like if he falls to the twenties, I mean that he he is one of the top.
He's probably a top receiver in most draft classes.
Explosiveness off the line of scrimmage.
When you talk about like, kind of like curvy rats when it's like straight rats, that's one thing.
You when you're talking about routes that ghost, curvy routes wanna like turning.
I don't know what they call like the ones that go in and breaking out help breaking out there in breaking ground.
Right? Okay, point is explosive.
This off the line of scrimmage is the only knock I have on him.
Can you agree with that? I mean, explosiveness, Explosiveness.
Yeah, but I mean getting off the line.
But he's not getting He's not getting locked up on the line.
No, no, but just explosiveness in general.
He's not gonna He's not going to take ah, huge **** off the lot, but he's not gonna get locked down on the line ever.
All right, um, our first, um, interior defensive lineman off the board here and the only one going in the first round as a lot of people agree with me here, Tennessee Titans and go with Marvin Wilson from Florida State.
Okay, All right.
Here's the steal of the draft are still the first round Buffalo Bills or 28 somehow becoming falling down to them is Alex Leatherwood from Alabama.
What is he, the second tackle off the board? Um, yeah, after After I find it hard to believe it'll take that long for two tackles to go.
I don't know. All right.
Green Bay Packers refused to give Rodgers a receiver last year on.
They're gonna go ahead and grab them in the first round this year that we said that last year to Terrence Marshall Junior out of L s U.
He was, um he was my, uh You see my 25? No, he was a stubborn.
He was a snub. All right, I I could see that.
All right, so at 30 Kansas City goes with Creed.
Humphrey Curie opens 11 from Oklahoma.
Steal? Yeah, Kansas City's offense. Alright.
These next two picks are probably are very Big two picks This next one is, in my opinion, at least one of the biggest of the draft.
New Orleans, 30 to Pittsburgh.
Who did? Your child goes with your work? 31 New Orleans.
They've got quarterback.
They really don't have much room.
There is room for improvement.
But I think, really with Hill.
Maybe they found their future quarterback.
They're going to go ahead and trade.
You think Taysom Hill is the quarterback of the future? Mhm Or if not him, then somebody else in, like, free agency.
I could seem getting Donald Deck, so All right, who do they trade to? Ready, Sam? You know, earlier you said there's a team.
You were like, I think they go quarterback and around once you cover.
So here the details.
Um, Sam, this is the This is the second of two trades in this round.
I won't draft value chart at this time.
Saints give the bears around one pick 31 round four next year.
Bears give the Saints around to this year around three this year and round three next year.
And the bears trade up for Mac Jones out of Alabama.
I don't have the numbers on him because he's not on the spreadsheet from because he didn't his last, because obviously last year he wasn't like very much.
He's not even, but I think he's definitely a first round type prospect.
And you know what? If you're if you want to take your quarterback, you want to treat into the first round to do it because you want to get that fifth year and also at 32 is Pittsburgh.
And I think if you're not thinking quarterback Pittsburgh taking a quarterback and who is Pittsburgh taking a 32? They think Travis ET en, Yeah, I didn't like it when I picked it because it s running backs.
He's the beast beast.
But here's my thing.
For the record, there they were planning on Mac Jones.
I guess you could say they would have taken Mac Jones.
Look, I love Et.
Mac Jones is the sixth quarterback taken in the first round.
I love Look, I love et en 87.
8 yards per carry last year, so the yards after the the yards after contact, they're crazy, but it's a running back It's a running back. I understand.
That's why he's 32.
Look, if you're gonna take a running back, it's gonna be this one.
But it's a running back is the first round.
It's running back in the first round.
Kansas City did a 32 last year.
Yeah, but I felt like I I felt they could have filled.
I felt they could have done other things with that pick.
That would have been better.
I think that definitely could have done stuff clocked.
There was a guy that I was high on anyway, right? They were gonna if they were to take it running, I had Taylor.
I mean, Taylor Taylor, you had the other Taylor.
Hey, JT Patriots legend J J.
I can't wait to say that after he after he never plays in a game again.
Um, so, yeah, that's our mock draft.
Just gonna go through one through 32 quickly.
Just the speed jets take Lawrence Jaguars, take a Jets, take Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback Jaguars, Take Justin Fields.
Quarterback uh, Bengals.
Take penny Sul tackle dolphins take make a person's linebacker chargers take Patrick.
Eagles take Jamaar Chase Wide receiver Panthers take Sean Wade.
Corner uh Football team takes sack Wilson Quarterback.
Lions take Devante Smith.
Wide receiver Atlanta takes Trey lands Quarterback.
Cowboys take Gregory Russo edge.
Broncos Take Caleb Fairly corner.
Bears Take JC Horn corner.
Vikings take Wyatt Davis.
Interior Office lineman.
Patriots take Kyle pits.
Tight end Niners take Eric Stokes.
Raiders take Dylan Moses Linebacker.
Ravens take Jaylen Waddle.
Wide receiver Giants take quickly pay edge.
Cardinals take Asante Samuel Jr Corner UH Buccaneers.
Take Joseph a sigh Edge.
Cowboys take pulse in a day.
Bo Corner Colts Take Kyle Trask.
Cleveland Browns Take Jeremiah Woes.
Do Carmo a linebacker.
Jack were Jaguars.
Take Pat Friar Ruth.
Tight end Jets take were shot. Bateman. Wide receiver.
Titans take Marvin Wilson and terror defensive lineman Bills Take Alex Leatherwood, tackle from Alabama Packers.
Take Terrence Marshall.
Junior wide receiver, uh, Chiefs Go Creed Humphrey Interior offensive lineman.
Bears trade up for Mac Jones at quarterback, and the Steelers ended off Travis ET and running back at Clemson to trades.
Dolphins, Cowboys, Saints Bears that.
Anything you want to say before we want before we had? No. All right.
Thanks for watching.
