Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.
I had a fantastic Thanksgiving.
My mom does what she does like to say what she does best because she does a lot of things great.
And I appreciate my mother for more than her cooking, just her cooking, even though I really appreciate her cooking.
And so I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving holiday.
I hope you guys were able to get off work.
Um, even if you couldn't see family, um, just have a chance to connect with family, connect with people, whether it be zoom or whatever hope you're staying safe hope you guys air masked up, you know, Got to keep the mask on you at all times in these covert infested, uh, times here in our lives because I'm still safe.
And I hope that you all are still safe.
So, you know, we've got covert in our lives, you know? It's kind of ruined.
I don't know how it was for most people's Halloween.
I don't really celebrate Halloween like that.
I don't have any kids that I, you know, would take trick or treating.
I'm not going on my own.
And I'm past that college age where we go to parties for Halloween.
So Kobe didn't really affect my Halloween, But I know it may have for some people.
Um, I know it definitely affected people's Thanksgivings, especially would travel, and I know it will affect people's Christmas this year.
It's affected black Friday.
I mean, come on, we This is this isn't news, okay? But I briefly want to talk about how covitz affecting sports and not just, you know, I mean, just sports my sports right, because I have I'm a I'm a avid sports fan, and at first it was like, Oh, no fans Is this going to be weird? And we all kind of got over that right there pumping, pumping, sound, pumping, fake fan noise in there.
So we're not really too concerned right for me as a consumer watching it on TV, it doesn't feel that much different, right? Obviously, the playoffs felt different because I could hear a lot of things I couldn't hear before talking about the MBA, Um, and the whole crowd noise every time someone makes a shot, the huge roar like obviously, that was different.
Not having that, but for the most part, it was, you know, basketball is basketball, right? And so football.
I mean, some stadiums have fans, some don't, but for the most part they sound the same, right? So it's not even like it's not even that weird from a consumer standpoint.
But I can't imagine what it is for from a player standpoint, let alone a executive standpoint or league office standpoint, like that's got to be crazy, right, So so think about this.
You can't Alright, you know, every state in this country is moving on its own like on its own rules, its own set of rules So you know, while Florida has absolutely no restrictions whatsoever like that, like Florida's like we don't care, we we we doing what we do, right? Because it's Florida, all right, who won't be in Florida? Me, But that's not the point.
So Florida's got their own set of rules, right? North Carolina's got their own, and then you got California's got their own like, for whatever reason, you know, everyone has to do their own thing.
So you've got 32 MBA team.
I mean, NFL teams all coming from different states.
Well, no, I guess not.
All of them are different states, but coming from, you know, 20 plus states, it's kind of hard because it's hard to come up with a set of rules for this league when this league spreads amongst the entire country.
In the entire countries, rules are different when it comes to covitz.
So when it comes to scheduling where you can and can't play is important when you can and can't play is important.
And of course, building in those like all right, if this happens, this is what we're gonna do.
This is where we go, all of that, right? So from a league office.
And then, of course, you gotta make all these protocols, which, by the way, there are clauses in, like the CBS for pandemics.
But there aren't rules already made, so everything is off the fly.
Everything you're doing is off the fly, so that leads to more mistakes.
And we're not going to lie here and sugar coat and say the NFL hasn't made its fair share of mistakes.
But you just look at some stuff You look at the recent, uh, look at their recent just like co vid related issues, right? The Raiders aren't following first.
Coaches aren't following rules, so now, but we gotta find them because they're not keeping their masks on. Alright.
Raiders are massless somewhere.
Their whole offensive line gets Cove in or is in the protocols so they can't play.
They gotta play with their entire starting offensive line out, right? Obviously, this past weekend, the Broncos entire quarterback room was in the code protocols because one of them caught Cove it.
But while the others were tested negative, they were all in their quarterback meeting, not wearing masks, not being 6 ft apart, and boom, um, Broncos had to play with a practice squad wide receiver who hadn't played quarterback since college at Wake Force.
And on top of that, they didn't find out that we're gonna have to do that until the day before playing the Saints.
They had no shot, right? We? The Ravens are the most, uh, the most recent story.
You know, there was a point on Thanksgiving.
They just got done playing today.
It is Wednesday.
They played a Wednesday game at 3 40 in the afternoon and they just finished.
Mind you on the schedule.
They're supposed to play the Cowboys this Thursday night for Thursday Night Football.
We're obviously not going to have that.
They're going to move that game back to, uh, Tuesday.
So and I think Pittsburgh plays Monday, right? But Pittsburgh effectively had a bye week earlier.
Remember, the Titans had the outbreak, of course, against Pittsburgh, and that game got canceled and that became their bye week and so on and so forth.
So I mean, it's just wild, because again, all this stuff they have to do on the fly and it starts to make you wonder about the integrity of the game.
Okay, so when I mentioned integrity of the game that Zatz really a phrase mawr for, like, football purist or, you know, any kind of sport purists when you're talking integrity of the game, These are people who care more about the results.
Like they care about more than the result.
Excuse me? They care about, you know, fairness.
They care about the referees.
They care about the scores.
They probably bet on the games, things like that.
We even talked about how covert affects gambling.
But you know, So you're like, All right, how can you? College football.
How can you crowned a champion when everybody doesn't play the same amount of games you're like? Oh, well, if they're undefeated, you know, whatever.
But yeah, if I had 10 chances to lose and you only had six why is it that we both have an equal chance toe win it all? Even though I had a greater chance of losing, Why do you get to earn that spot? You know things like that, right? And when you really think about it while I I guess I'm more of a hybrid, right? So part of me is interested in the integrity of the game from one standpoint, part of me is not okay.
I don't You know, I don't really have time to go into the details.
Okay? But let's just say there are certain things that I do and don't care about when it comes to Ah, you know, sports.
Um so that's just kind of that's just kind of my thing.
But co vid for those who do care actually has an effect.
Because, you know, you, you everything's up in the air, right? You never know what team's gonna have the outbreak next.
You never know who's quarterback is gonna be out, and the NFL is treating co vid like injuries.
If they get cove in, you just gotta play without him.
There ain't We're not canceling games.
I didn't see where the NFL decided to give themselves some leeway.
They tried to keep it as close to a regular schedule is possible.
It is coming back to bite them, and we still got month left in this season.
This will happen again, and then the question is, I think I I read something today.
Saying Goodell was like Roger Goodell, commissioner of the NFL, was like, we don't plan on having a bubble.
All right, So when this happens in the playoffs, then what? Right? Because at the end of the day, it's about making these dollars right? It's about collecting this bread and making his cheese.
Okay, You want these games played? You want your ratings? What's the Who is the best player for the NFL's ratings right now? Patrick Mahomes.
That's That's not even a question.
So what happens when, God forbid, I don't I'm not.
I hope I don't hope this happens. I really don't.
But what happens when Patrick Mahomes and company get hit with a covert outbreak in the F C divisional game? Okay, so they what? You're gonna make him forfeit and we want to see cheese.
That's what I see.
Great defense seems like an unstoppable offense.
That's what I want to see, right? Are you are you? What are you gonna make them forfeit? You have no weeks outside of that, like Pro Bowl week, which obviously they're probably having a Pro Bowl.
So that week before the Super Bowl, that's your Onley chance to push things back.
But if it happens to the Chiefs Also, I thought that the covert thing was like, You catch cove it, you gotta quarantine for two weeks.
Why is it that college football players on Lee got a quarantine for 10 days? NFL players are pretty much on Lee out a week.
I thought that it was supposed to be 14 days, right? So I don't know.
But nevertheless, right, like Cove it is going to is affecting the NFL.
And what's happening to the NFL can very easily happen to the MBA if the MBA is not careful, right? And so I guess they're gonna go stadiums at first.
But you know, if the n b a and careful cause because you can't, I mean, actually made you could, But you can't really bubble for an entire year, right? The bubble for the playing games in the playoffs was all great, but you can't bubble for an entire year.
So the MBA needs to be looking at the NFL like all right, The good thing about the n B A. Is this.
If you have a game on Tuesday, a game on Wednesday and again on Friday, but you can't play a game on Tuesday, it'll be kind of easy to go push that a few weeks down the line.
Right? But if you have an outbreak in your organization, you're gonna miss, you know, upto.
You know, you could miss 10 to 14 days, which in the NBA, that's 78 games, right? So that's where they got to figure out what is going to affect them. Right? Baseball.
I don't know what baseball is gonna do.
Hockey doesn't even look like they're like hockey.
Looks like they're like, Look, we we made the Stanley Cup.
Made it two. There were good.
Let's just relax.
Hockey is supposed to be.
I thought they were supposed to start up beginning January.
We heard nothing from them, Right? Basketball just went through an off season, Uh, like, you know, free agency and the draft after a championship in a month and a half, and they start training camp next week.
So, you know, uh, is really interesting, because none of this is over, and it seems like nobody as much money as these guys get paid.
Nobody's figured this out yet.
So what's next, right? What? Where do we go from here? I can't answer that question.
And I don't think that any of the proteins can answer that question.
But what I'm hoping for right? Because one thing that could get lost in the shuffle is that while the leagues are treating Cove, it like injuries in a sense that we're not going to cancel games because one player has Covic, right? If if whatever outbreak can get secure and we're gonna play, so your quarterback gets Cove it, dang tough luck. That's right.
But what I'm just hoping is, you know, there's a lot of players getting co vid, and it only takes one big name player that have serious complications.
I told you all about the Jacksonville running back.
We talked about how Zeke obviously ain't the same Cam Newton looks trash.
He looks terrible.
So, you know, we talked about this kind of stuff.
Lamar Jackson has code right now, y'all.
So it's just kind of like what we need to be doing.
I mean, let the league figure out what the league figures out.
We don't need to worry about why the Broncos have to play and the Ravens seems getting pushback.
Somebody tried to tweet like, Oh, the league wants Baltimore in the playoffs.
That's why they keep pushing it back.
They were still getting positive tests after positive tests.
After positive test days, days, days, days like after, you know, they were supposed to play until it got contained.
You couldn't play once it got contained.
Then you're able to be, like, All right, now that we got it under control.
Let's go from here.
It was contained.
It was just the quarterbacks.
Everybody else can move.
Um, you know, according to plan wasn't that way of Baltimore.
So So let's go ahead and crash that narrative now, right? Baltimore, Win or lose that game is probably gonna finish 11 5 because their schedule is easy.
I mean, for me, as a fan, I don't I'm not over here tripping over the integrity of the game because we saw Steelers Ravens to without all the Ravens people.
I'm not tripping over that, okay, but I am curious as to what the NFL and the NBA is going to do when it comes playoff time.
What about college football? What if the week of a college football game a team has a breakout right, which I doubt that will happen.
College football playoff game.
I doubt that would happen, though.
I'm sure they're gonna have to like, you know, usually they travel the week or two weeks before, uh, they'll probably travel like a month before toe wherever the championship playoffs is in quarantine.
That's probably what they'll do together, so they don't have to worry about that.
But I'm just saying when when the stakes are high, when everything's on the line, when it's not just a regular season game.
I'm curious how these entities talking about these sports entities and organizations, how they're going to handle it.

So now that we have gotten the covitz stuff out of the way, I want to introduce the next phase of the show.
All right, so what I want to talk to you guys about is I did.
I went on the radio a little bit a little while back and like it was cool, but they did.
This thing called.
I went on this radio show called the O. G.
Um, and they did this thing called the all O.
G team, right? And so me and the hosts, we both had three teams.
Well, we'll have three, whether it was a player or a team or a coach or ah, school or whatever it could be in sports.
It could be whatever we wanted to be.
But, um, that made our team right.
And so, like, that was like last week my team was for the state football for financial on the way out of ah, but kicking against Clemson, uh, the Carolina Panthers for, um, holding the alliances, hero points and the Cowboys for beating the Vikings because that was not expected.
Vikings were trending up the Cowboys.
We didn't know what was going on.
Right? And clearly, as you see, it wasn't expected.
Because then on Thanksgiving they go on, pull that nonsense against Washington.
So we're gonna introduce a new segment called the All Bottom Line Team.
Go play some music to introduce him.
The all bottom line team.
So first on the all bottom line team, I got five.
Five winners for the all bottom line team.
These are the five that I think just kind of looking deserve to be on the all bottom line team.
Team number one, I guess.
Organization number one.
The Detroit Lions.
Finally, the Detroit Lions fired Matt.
Patricia Who? We've been expecting that really? Since last year.
We expected the Lions to fire Matt.
Patricia. They didn't do it. They decided.
Let's give it another go.
Obviously, that didn't work.
And 13 and 29 1 as a coach.
It was time for him to get out of here, right? Like they let Jim Caldwell go after 3 11 05 79 97 927 they let him go because they said they thought they could do better, right? We'll map.
Patricia ain't better.
Just another coach on the long list of Bill Belichick disciples that didn't, you know, didn't pan out.
Hey, And of course, if you're gonna let the head coach go, you gotta let go of the guy who brought him in here.
You have to hear my guy like again, just like Patricia.
You want it, right? Save Matthew Stafford.
Somebody get Matthew Stafford out of Detroit.
If I'm Detroit, I wouldn't do it.
But also, if this is a rebuild, maybe it's cool like, All right, maybe we go in a different direction.
We let Matt go in a different direction like he's been great.
He's the only reason that the Lions, um, organization has even been relevant.
But hey, maybe for him, maybe for us, we're just gonna go in a completely new direction.
Mats aren't even in the league.
13 years, maybe maybe a son.
Alright, Free Matthew Stafford lines.
But so far, the Detroit Lions administration they're the first ones to make the all bottom line team the second choice.
Phil ****elson and Charles Barkley.
Right? So a couple weekends ago, they had the match made famous by Tiger and Phil.
Um, and Phil ****elson and Charles Barkley were matched up against Peyton Manning and Steph Curry.
Now, I had a hard time almost didn't put them on this team.
Because when you have a professional golf golfer, you're always gonna win, right? So part of me was like, uh, I ain't really I really don't even need to put these guys on this.
But the whole reason I did was because Charles Barkley apparently worked on his golf swing and that that alone it's worth being on the all bottom line team.
Okay, So shout out to you, Chuck.
Shout out to you, Phil, Stephan, Peyton.
Maybe next time.
Um, I didn't watch it, by the way, but I saw that it was a pretty convincing when which it should have been shout out to them onto the next one
