Hello, everyone, and welcome into another broadcast.
Today we have the Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens here on SportsCastr, a game that has been moved now 123 times It was supposed to be scheduled for Thanksgiving was then moved to Sunday football.
Then it was moved to Tuesday.
Now moved to Wednesday for the third time.
We're expecting a great game today.
However, it's looking like it's gonna be the Steelers in the driver's seat today.
It'll be Robert Griffin, the third for the Ravens, getting the starting job as Lamar Jackson, testing positive, among others, for Cove in 19.
He will be out today, along with J.
Dobbins, Mark Ingram and many others.
But other than that, the game is on and the Steelers, who are 10, you know, look to beat the Ravens to advance the 10 Anna 11.
, Rather and the Ravens, who the Steelers were beaten by last way back in Week 17 off last year.
Try and get another victory against them and stay in the playoff on as we head behind steal the in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with the Steelers and the Ravens, Mike Tomlin and John Harburg.
And in the a F C North.
Pittsburgh leads with a commanding 10 and a record than the 83 Cleveland Browns, the four, the six and four rather Baltimore Ravens and then the 28 and one Cincinnati Bangles.
So you can clearly see that it is the Ravens who need toe win this game today, and it will be Chris Boswell to kick it off.
The average is 30 yards poor per return, leads the NFL and has a 93 kick return this season.
And here is the kick here goes back to the 10, and Devin Duvernay is going to get out all the way to the 36 yard line and puts the Ravens in good position to start today's football game here against the Steelers.
Thank you just a can fly for joining the broadcast.
The 3rd 63% completion in his eighth see through eight seasons in the NFL.
This is on Lee, his second start since 2016.
He has been the Ravens main back up, and this guy right here is gonna be your savior if you could win it today for the Ravens 1st and 10 from their 36 yard line.
Dobbins and no Mark Ingram.
So it's gonna be Edwards who will get a lot of the handoffs today.
Is he's back here with Robert Griffin.
The third Hollywood Brown goes in motion.
They throw it to him on a little screen set up, and he is going to get about five yards out to the 40 yard line.
Here we go now, wrapping up the end of week 12 right now.
And this run is gonna pick up about a yard third down.
I don't think we've ever witnessed on Wednesday Night Football Wednesday afternoon, Rather football game ever.
I'm not sure, definitely the first one of my history.
I've not been on this planet for a very, very long time, but I could tell you that I have not seen one of these games yet on Wednesday.
But it will be an interesting one today.
You know it'll be the same as normal, no different in anything other than the players that are here.
And obviously no fans in the stands here in Pittsburgh.
Third and four big time play coming up five seconds on the play clock Griffin takes the snap is he sends Edwards emotion, throws it to him, and Edwards is gonna be knocked down a great tackle back at the 40 and a great defensive Siri's right off the bet as the Ravens will go three and oh, right, three and out.
Rather, And it's Nelson who makes the incredible tackle right here.
He goes out, and this is a great player was actually Hill.
The running back here set up, and this is a great hit on him.
Low body hit knocks him down and makes an incredible effort, and that could just save.
Ah, game right there.
You know where this comes down to? What do you have brought in the first down? Had he had he gotten around him and kept the drive going? Sam Cox, Do you kick it away? Cook Rather, That's how you pronounce it on fourth and five, and the kick is going to start at the 19 that Z where Ben Roethlisberger will start.
You're on Wednesday afternoon football that Sunday Night Football, but rather Wednesday Afternoon football and Ben Roethlisberger.
This season, he gets rid of the ball, the quickest in all of football.
He's throwing for 2534 yards this year.
24 touchdowns, five interceptions, a Q B rating of 101.
4 and a 67% completion percentage.
Roethlisberger hands it off, and this run is gonna pick up about four yards with Benny Sanel Junior.
The Steelers often has been very elusive this year with the addition of Eric Ebron and rookie Chase Claypool, but it still remains the question If they can win the Super Bowl, they don't care, really.
If they go undefeated, that I'm sure that's a big hope.
But more importantly, can they win the Super Bowl? Roethlisberger takes the snap on second five, unloads one for Claypool in this ball is incomplete.
Good coverage there as he was looking way downfield.
It'll be third and five and some good defense here by Peters.
Claypool goes in motion.
Peters is one on one with them and he catches up.
Excuse me, Not one on one of them.
It was actually Clark.
It was really covering.
And Peters has to come over and knock this ball out of play, pulls hands, and that is a great defensive play.
They're acknowledging that it's your turn to come over and defend here on a little zone coverage and or office burger.
Read it perfectly, but it's just a good play by Peters.
Roethlisberger under pressure throws, and it is incomplete looking over the middle for Eric Ebron.
And it will be a three and out for the Steelers as both teams exchange three downs of play and then have to punt now.
Jordan buried to punt it away and the return from the 34 there is a flag down is going to get to the 35.
That is where the Ravens will start.
We'll see who the flag is on here.
Ronald Herbert, seventh season as an NFL referee, and it's going to be against the Baltimore here.
So maybe Fi came out very early.
Watch to see holding on Baltimore.
So that is where the Ravens will start at their own 35.
Tied up 00 here on Wednesday night football on SportsCastr.
You know, he just there was an eight year these James Yeah, okay.
Obsession and optometry.
We must no space may be guest.
You're slouching it and Thanks.
Didn't get least makes easy.
Which helps us save.
Did you get? Thank you.
This and we're back with the broadcast.
Sean goes to Portland for joining the broadcast and for following also winging Joe for joining in into our broadcast here of the Steelers and the Ravens.
The Ravens have had a tough path, uh, into what is looking like possibly a playoff berth.
If they can come up with the winds they need.
They have now lost two straight games to the New England Patriots, in which they lost on Sunday Night Football and to the Tennessee Titans in overtime.
So it has been two straight tough games for the Baltimore Ravens.
They look to make the playoffs, so and they can certainly make that statement with the wind today.
But it's going to go very, very tough.
It's gonna be a very, very interesting game if they could pull it off with Robert Griffin.
The third is the starting Q B.
As he loses the ball on the fake handoff or whatever it waas, it's Steelers ball on first down, its Williams, who came out with the ball and that is just a mistake right there where, you know, you don't have a lot of preparation going into this game as much as you would like to have.
And this is just miscommunication.
It seems I don't know if he held onto the ball a little bit as he was handing it off to Edwards.
And right there, the ball comes loose and it is, Ah, good defensive play. There is.
They see, you know the play is not over.
Just because excuse me, there's not like it could be a fumble just because he gets the ball or something, you know? And that was a good play.
They're seeing the ball come out and diving on it there for the Steelers.
So Steelers ball now in Ravens territory at the 22.
Roethlisberger takes the snap, hands it off, and it is Betty Snell who's going to pick up two yards.
Yeah, here we go.
Second down and eight now for the Steelers offense.
Roethlisberger, with five seconds on the play clock, takes the snap, throws it, and this is going to get down to the seven yard line.
It is Billy Snell, and it's a nice play here, four guys rushing.
You have Snell who gets out here and this is, uh, Humphrey, who loses his balance, creates more room, and you could see it's really six Steelers walking only four Ravens.
So that means you're gonna have lots of guys to defend the passing game, but they're set up way back.
So this enables.
Ah, perfect past.
Roethlisberger can read it and throw it.
Here we go from the six, they pitch it back to Snell, and Snell is going to pick up about a yard to the five yard line on first down with 10.
Now in the first quarter.
Here we go. Second and goal.
Feeling something to juju here.
G Vienna 1977 for during the broadcast Something over the middle here just feels right for juju Smith Schuster.
This passes complete to Eric Ebron and gonna get down to the five yard line.
Third and go. Sorry they weren't the seven earlier.
Then down to the sixth.
Now down to the five.
So two screenplays where they've only gained one yard here.
But there's plenty of Ravens in front of him.
There's no chance.
Even with the big body guy like tight end Eric Ebron.
There's no chance here, doesn't stand a chance and gets ripped down here.
So third and goal.
Now there's nobody in the backfield with Roethlisberger, so you clearly are seeing a throwing play here.
Third and goal, then takes the staff throws.
And it is card by Ebron down to around the one yard line as he is taken down just about a yard short of the touchdown.
And it seems like the Steelers might want to keep the offense out on the field right now from the one yard line.
And now we've got Let's see what we got here.
We have some Steelers coming off the field, fourth and goal.
We're going to see what they want to do here.
They're going to keep the offense out on the field.
Claypool is in the backfield with Big Ben right now on fourth and gold.
Now he goes in motion out in the wide receiver set.
Roethlisberger looks under pressure, escapes throws to the end zone.
The ball is picked off.
He had nowhere to go with it, and it's picked off down to the sixth and he says, you know, what? Why not give it a shot and see what happens? And it is a empty possession for the Steelers.
Ravens will have the ball at the six yard line here on Wednesday Night Football when we come back here on SportsCastr.
Thank you to me Way.
And we are back with the broadcast here on SportsCastr to empty possessions for the Steelers offense.
You could see they take it from the one here.
Roethlisberger takes the snap.
After Claypool goes in motion to the wide receiver snap, he looks towards the right side of the field.
Nobody there looks towards the middle.
Still nobody there and just has to fire up a prayer.
And it's picked off.
So you know nothing there.
And the Ravens defense has shown up twice.
Now here's the Ravens offense.
Back out on the field, they have also had to empty possessions.
One resulted in a fumble on one a punt, and for a second I thought the ball came out there.
It'll be second down after a gain of about two.
And you could see you know, the Ravens defense is mostly going to be uh, you know.
Excuse me, I remember, is that it's going to mostly be the Ravens defense in this game that the Ravens are gonna be looking to the Ravens offense.
They need to put up points in this game, but the Ravens defense has to have an amazing game for them to stand a chance.
This Ravens offense is not very good with Robert Griffin the third, and you could see that.
But it's gonna have to be the defense that steps up as Griffin keeps it and gets to the 11 yard line.
It will be third down and about six, but it's just really relying on that defense today for Baltimore.
Baltimore's had a good defense over the last few years, and they really have toe trust in them here.
And if you're the Ravens offense, you just need to put some points on the board.
You know you have to score more than I'd say 20.
To win this game, the Steelers will put you in the you know they will put you away here today.
If you do not come up and show at least some sort of offensive scheme to be able to put up some points on the board.
If not, it's going to be a destroy INTs.
They're gonna get destroyed by the Steelers.
If that doesn't happen.
This ball is picked off the second turnover for the Ravens, and it goes in for the touchdown.
Oh my gosh, two turnovers and the Steelers have taken the lead on.
This is another terrible pass. It's a misread.
He was looking over towards the left side or right side of the field, and this ball is just picked off.
And it is Hayden.
Joe Hayden, who goes in for the touchdown, and Pittsburgh leads it with the first score of the day and Pittsburgh's defense comment.
A town right now with 6 57 to go.
Here's the extra point from Chris Boswell, and it is off as he misses it.
No good, but it's six nothing.
Steelers two turnovers for the Ravens offense and the Steelers take the lead.
We'll be back after the break with the Steelers in the driver's seat.
You're on SportsCastr, right people.
He's that is here, Here, here.
So first in the and we're back with the broadcast here on SportsCastr wrapping up Week 12 in the NFL with Steelers and Ravens seems to be a great way to end off what has been a interesting week.
You have a good game here today, although the Steelers certainly seemed like they're gonna win this one.
I'm expecting a little bit of a close game.
I think the Steelers will win it, but I do expect it to be close.
I think the Ravens were going to come out here and show some effort, but at the same time, if it continues like this, it could be a blowout for the Steelers offense and especially their defense.
The Ravens now get the ball for the fourth time already, with just under seven minutes to go.
They have already turned it over twice, one on a handoff that Edwards lost, and so did Robert Griffin on.
Then Ben Roethlisberger turned it over for the Steelers.
Then the Ravens decided, Hey, we're just gonna throw the ball wherever we want it to go.
And it Certainly that did not work.
As the Steelers came up with the interception, it was Joe Hayden and the Baltimore Ravens, four turnovers in the first quarter this season, and they are all verse.
The Steelers, who have played some great defense, clearly stepping up against Baltimore.
From the 33 Griffin rolls out of the pocket flag in the backfield, and he is going to get somewhere near the 37 yard line.
There is a flag back in the backfield.
We'll check the flag here.
As I mentioned, this is really a must win game for the Ravens offense.
I mean, you think about it being six and four, you have to win this game.
I mean, you just have to and this is on, uh, Fluker, the Ravens guards.
So this is gonna move them back some more yards.
But you know, they really they really have to figure things out.
You know, if you're if you're the Ravens, do you really have to figure things out? And it's about getting the winds getting things together.
You know, if they could make the playoffs legitimately if they went out, even if they lose this game.
But, you know, I just don't see that happening.
If they continue on the path they're on right now.
First in 20 now from the 23.
The third completes it to Devon.
Do Renee for a few yards.
Here on first down.
Five seconds to go on the play clock. Three seconds.
Here is the passing is no passes.
Give Griffin. The third goes down.
It's gonna be third and long now, and certainly in a tough position The Ravens air at.
Obviously Lamar Jackson is your true starting quarterback.
But it's like, Where do you go from there? You know Oh, you know that this team has had so much trouble this year and it's mostly been circulated around, you know, the offensive passing struggles as well as you know, other struggles, but mostly the passing struggles.
I think you can point out Thio are a problem for this Ravens team.
You know, they're passing Team has been very weak this year with obviously without a top receiver in the NFL.
Here is the handoff.
This really isn't gonna go very anywhere at all, and it just gets up to the 31 year old and that was kind of a silly idea.
I mean, you had to get to the 43.
I don't know why you ran the ball, but clearly they they'd rather run the ball for a few yards, then throw the ball on having interception again.
But clearly, when you are running the bomb play like that, you clearly know that you're in trouble.
And that's That's where I knew it with the Patriots, where they did that.
Kids, the Bills so clearly, you know you're in trouble now.
Here is the kick going to go back all the way.
Ravens pick it up and they have the ball all the way down to the 10.
Your line a big here on the Steelers returner as he was making the catch.
A big hit there and they come up with the ball with 4 31.
Let's take another look at it, going back to return it.
Does the ball hit him? Yes, it does.
Smart play there.
He waited for him to get the ball and then hits into him, and that is a very smart point right there.
You can't hit into him until he's caught the ball and make cloud bobbles it as he's being tackled and it's gonna be Ravens ball.
What a smart football players.
They're gonna have it all the way down to around 11 yard line, and that is the boost of energy this Ravens offense needs right now.
And if you have the skills, you just can't make those silly mistakes.
But, you know, if that was the Ravens that kills you, but the Steelers, you know, you still might be ableto come back and score, especially because you're 10, you know, But the Ravens, that is a huge play right there for you.
So they have the ball all the way down at the 16 yard line.
Actually, my bad, I said 11.
It was a 16 movement before the snap.
Looks like it will be on the offense here, and it is false.
Start false start on bread, Ihsan.
This past is caught in the backfield and they're able to get past the 20 down to the 15 yard line with Hill, and that's a nice pick up there.
But you could see this team is struggling to get anywhere right now, and it's really the running game so far.
I believe they have maybe two passing place thus far, and they have 23 players placed on the Cova 19 list since November.
Pro Bowl players.
Nine season opener starters and among those players, 6124 snaps this season.
Oh, they're losing, Ah, lot of valuable players, and that's certainly going to affect them today against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
You know, you'd much rather you were having this against a team like, you know, the Jets or something where it really doesn't matter that much.
And it is Robert Griffin, the third who gets down to the four yard line and picks up the first down.
But really, the Ravens offense right now, we said Robert Griffin the third.
He's gonna go through some struggles today, and you can see it's the running game right here that's gonna push them through right away.
It's a blitz, and they're able to get blockers in front of Griffin and his good running game that he has gets him down to the four yard line.
But nice hit there on Griffin, who has three rushes for 16 yards today already.
Here we go, takes the snap.
Hands it off to Hill, and he is going to get down to around the two yard line.
Second angle to 30 to go in the first quarter with the 10 and oh Steelers taken off against the six and four Ravens.
If you're just joining us, the Steelers up six.
Nothing off of a Pick six in Ravens territory.
But a botched return from the Steelers sets the Ravens up in their territory and a time out here at the one yard line.
It's gonna be second and goal with 2 12 to go.
That is the first time out from either side today.
Robert Griffin, the third the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner.
He was 2000 and 12 NFL offensive Rookie of the year for Washington.
He was released by Washington in 2016, started with Brown five starts for them in 2016, then was released now with the Ravens his third season and his second start with them today.
So clearly this is a big one for him as he tries to make his return in the NFL.
You know, I mean, if there's anybody that's gonna pick him up, New England might be one of them.
I mean, seriously, you might be better than Cam Newton over their second and goal now they handed off right down the middle.
And it is Edwards who goes in for the touchdown.
So two turnovers have set up two scores for both sides.
And with 207 to go, we're tied up 6 to 6 in the extra point.
Now coming from Mr Justin Tucker.
They've got two guys set up here to block one of them.
Doesn't even get to block because everybody's headed right towards the middle.
He was heading towards the outside the block, so it looked like maybe they were going to try and go to the outside.
I doubt it, though.
I think they were just going right down the middle here.
That's what they do end up doing.
And it is Edward two bus right through the middle to the touchdown.
The extra point is good.
So the Ravens, up 7 to 6, they take their lead.
It might be the only lead they get tonight.
We'll see the Ravens lead in 76 Steelers receiving the kick when we come back.
SportsCastr, You all right? You? Yes, me be for you know you.
And we're back with the broadcast here on SportsCastr as a return with the Steelers is gonna go out towards the 20.
And that is where Mr Ben Roethlisberger will get his start again today.
He was a 14 to 9 record against the Steelers entering today.
Ever since 2000 and six, he's been sacked around 60 times and he's three of six today for 18 yards from the 20 now.
Takes the snap throws over the middle.
Complete it to Eric Ebron.
Who's going to get out to the 25 yard line? Okay, Second five takes the snap, hands it off.
The run is going to get to these 2028 29 yard line.
They're gonna be just short off a first down here.
Don Martindale, the Ravens defensive coordinator looking on, trying to set up a big defensive stop on third and two.
Now, with just under a minute to go remaining in the first quarter, which is a 7 to 6 Ravens lead, currently five seconds on the play clock throws over the middle And it has caught for the first down juju Smith Schuster to the 31 yard line on a little catch and go over the middle.
And, yes, it is cold. You could see their breath.
It is very cold here in us.
I mean, it has got to be freezing right there.
Smith Schuster, 59 receptions.
538 yards of 2020.
He has been their main receiver pretty much, but at the same time, they looked towards other guys like Claypool and Ebron in this past is complete here.
And a nice play to pick up the first down.
And that will wind down the first quarter.
We'll come back after the break.
You're on SportsCastr.
Like Okay, Okay.
And we're back with the broadcast here on SportsCastr.
A cold day here in Pittsburgh as the Steelers takeover at the 48 year old nine continuing on this drive.
Here is the play with e run gets to the 49 yard line off Baltimore with Macfarlane the running back.
Here's Roethlisberger throwing and it is caught by Eric Ebron down to the 22 your line.
Eric Ebron picks up the first down.
He's driven out of bounds, and we haven't injured Raven.
It's Elliot who was making the defensive attempt there to knock down the ball and also uninjured.
Rave in Back in the backfield.
Elliott's gonna walk up, and we've got it injured raving in the backfield right now, a little more severe injury than Elliot's.
It looks like we will stay here during the break here on SportsCastr right Patriots trying to make the playoffs this year.
If you're following the Patriots, they have not had an easy road anywhere this season.
They haven't even had an easy win against the Jets, who they will face later this season.
But the remaining schedule does look very optimistic.
They have to face the Chargers.
They have to face the Jets, and they also have to face the Dolphins.
Those Air three teams that are very I would say, not necessarily very easy, but our that air games they should win.
Then you have the Bills and the Rams.
No, those air two games where I could see the Patriots winning them so I could see the Patriots winning out.
The problem is, even if they went out, they still don't necessarily make the playoffs.
Because you still have the Ravens, who are currently six and four.
If they lose their six and five but have, ah, pretty easy remaining schedule you have.
The Raiders, who are six and five right now, have a very also very easy remaining schedule.
They might have one tough games, so if they lose the Patriots Aaron.
But the bottom line is if the Ravens, the Dolphins and the Raiders all tie with New England with at whatever you wanna call it 10 and six, the Patriots make the playoffs because they be all three of those teams.
And if they beat the Dolphins again, Obviously, the Dolphins right now are seven and four and are in the wild card spot.
However, they still have to face the Chiefs, the Bills and the Patriots, among others.
They could also lose, too, so I don't see that this is the Dolphins here.
I honestly think it's between the Ravens and the Patriots to make the playoffs.
At this point, I think the Raiders, even though they have a pretty easy schedule.
Still have, I believe, one test game remaining, and I think you know the Colts Aaron at seven and four.
But they could still lose two games, so it's pretty much wide open in that concern.
There are still other teams that could get in like the Broncos.
It pains me to say that, Um, there is also I don't even know who else is in.
You know, that could get in anymore.
But there's still some teams that could still possibly, and let's take a look at the rate of remaining schedule, I'm not exactly sure as we're back here at Heinz Field with the Ravens and Steelers.
Yeah, they still have to play the Jets, Chargers, Broncos, Dolphins.
The Colts Colts are, uh, two weeks from now.
So you know the Colts game is That's very interesting, as this past is complete to Eric.
Ebron reeled in down near the 17 yard line to ST catches for Ebron, the tight end.
But, um, you know the Colts, I I say that's a cold's victory.
So the Ravens Raiders Rather could possibly go 10 and six, and the Patriots would be in that scenario now.
Really, I'm very worried about the Ravens more than I am anybody else.
I'm not too worried about the Raiders, but more of the Ravens I'm worried about because they really have a shot to make the playoffs.
Even if they lose this game, Roethlisberger throws over the middle complete sit juju.
Smith Schuster down to the five yard line, and stuff will face the Cowboys, Brown's Jaguars, Ravens and Giants.
So I'd say the two games that are vulnerable for them on the Cowboys and the Browns.
But the Browns have really not beating the best teams this year.
They lost, the Ravens got demolished by them.
They also got demolished by the Steelers.
So it's possible that the Ravens could win out after they lose this game.
And if they win, if they win this game, it's all over because they're gonna be the Cowboys and the might be the Brown.
So if they win this game, it's over and the Ravens are in the playoffs essentially.
But if they don't win this game, then it's up on the table.
If you look at the Dolphin schedule like I mentioned before, they have to face the Bangles.
Chiefs, Patriots, Dolphins and Bills or Pangalos, Chiefs, Patriots, Raiders and Bills.
So they're probably gonna lose 1234 of those games.
So I'm not too worried about them.
However, I'd like for them to beat the Raiders.
I would like that to happen because that would be nice for them to lose three games, which takes them to nine and seven.
Then imagine, even if we fell to nine and seven and the Raiders Baltimore would have to lose three games, though, including this one.
So Baltimore would still be tough, even if we finished nine and seven, and so did the Raiders and the Dolphins.
It wouldn't really matter because the Ravens would probably not finished nine and seven.
As this plate goes nowhere.
Gonna be second and goal with the run With Snow, it's gonna go back to the nine yard line.
I lost four, but let's take another look here.
Um, there's also, you know, the Colts.
I obviously don't have the schedule memorized.
They have to face the Texans, Texans, Raiders, Steelers in Jaguar.
So I say they're gonna lose to the Steelers.
They're gonna lose one to the Texans and then that one with the Raiders will probably win, so they'll probably finish around the scene with the Patriots.
You know, a 10 6 record.
So it's going to be very close to that remaining seed.
Roethlisberger throws to the end zone, and it is incomplete looking for Claypool, and he could not hang on third and goal.
Now it's a nice pass here, but just good defense.
Let's take another look here.
Claypool and Johnson set up on the right side.
Johnson goes towards the middle.
It's really a perfect pass here, but it's just broken up, and this is just good defense here.
It was knocked down here, and that is a nice play there.
That was Humphrey, who knocks the ball down.
So that's a good defensive play.
Just saved a touchdown, third and goal as this past is incomplete.
He was looking for Johnson, and it hits off of his knee, so his eyes were ahead, looking where he was going to go next and did not come up with the ball.
So that will send the Ravens.
Excuse me, the stills kicking game on.
Try and make a field goal here, but this is a nice pass here.
Might have been able to get into the end zone here, but he just drops the ball and you just can't do that.
Here's a 25 yarder from Boswell and the kick is good.
Steelers leading at 97 with 11 50 to go in the second quarter.
You're on SportsCastr.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Right.
Um, and we're back with the broadcast here on SportsCastr, the Ravens and the Steelers.
A great history between these two teams.
Rivals in the A, F C North and one of the greatest rivalries we have in the NFL will continue with 11 50 to go in the second quarter with a game that was scheduled for Thursday.
Got moved Sunday.
Got moved to Tuesday.
Now is moved to Wednesday.
Still is to kick it away up 9 to 7, where the Boswell field goal Raymond's will get the borrow now as this kick goes back to the end zone and will excuse me and we'll bounce out.
Tracy McSorley, Backup Q B in there as well.
Sixth round selection in the 2019 draft, 167th, I believe it, said overall pick.
He is the backup today, backing up Mr Robert Griffin the third as Hill goes in motion will still stay as a back on this player.
They handed off to him and Hill met and tackled with a loss of three back at the 20 shoe.
And they're only gonna Markham lost itude.
I mean, but this is really come on.
This is a loss of three guys.
So what do you favor on the Ravens? Robert Griffin, the third record as a starter since 2012, 9 and six, want two touchdowns to five interceptions.
That was in 2012.
Rather since 2000 and 13 87 1923 touchdown, 25 interceptions, one of those today, and he has had a rough going since then.
You can clearly see 2nd and 11 with 11 tend to go in the quarter.
Takes the snap those over the middle.
It is caught by Hollywood brown down through the 30 yard line.
This is a really nice catch here from Brown and keeps it moving.
Third ands. Four.
Now, rather, I was gonna say 36 34 After the pickup Griffin takes the snap under pressure, is sacked back at the 28 year line down, he goes and the Steelers will get the ball back here, and the Ravens have been empty on almost all of their drives.
Their Onley score came on.
Like I said, the botched return, where it was trying to return the punt just lost the ball as he was making the catch Thio to start the return.
And you can clearly see that Robert Griffin the third, has been all over the place today, and it starts with right.
Watt, who was able to pull his shoulder, and then he just goes down with Steelers.
All around them is this kick goes back with the fair catch wisely called.
So the same thing doesn't happen like last time at the 27 year old 9 41 to go in the second quarter.
When we come back, you're on SportsCastr, and we're back.
After this short break, the Steelers, up 9 to 7 with 9 41 to go here at their own 26 yard line, Roethlisberger takes the snap, hands it off to Snell, and Billy Snell is gonna pick up around six or seven yards on the run.
Billy Snell junior week one at New York job at the New York Giants.
He had 113 rushing yards, and since then, well, it has been on Lee 93.
So clearly they have.
He's been, you know, contained a lot as this passes complete to the 39 yard line to Johnson, all the Ravens saying incomplete.
But as of now, it is marked as a catch, and a first down Peters was the one here that comes over and covers him, and ball came loose towards the end.
So in my mind that is caught.
I think that's a completion.
His knees were down.
He had already made you'd already established The catch.
Here is this Past again is complete Johnson, and it picks up around four yards here.
It'll be second and six Christmas Day schedule coming out for the N B A.
The Celtics are playing the Nets Clipper.
Lakers are playing the Mavs, and I can't remember some of the other ones, but you've got some good Christmas Day games.
I'm planning on broadcasting the Nets and Celtics that day, but it's all lined up.
It's like 12 o'clock.
There's a game to 35 8 30 12, 30.
It's like all lined up perfectly, so that's kind of funny.
2nd and 6th, this passes completed Johnson, and he is going to get to midfield to the 50 and picks up the first down.
So three straight catches for Johnson and the Steelers offense is rolling here.
As you could see, they have been this season at 10, and, oh, they feast them some tough games, though you know the Cowboys game was tough.
The Ravens game was tough, where they had the lead and almost lost it on the last play, a Hail Mary that was broken up.
I remember broadcasting that one.
That was a tough game for both sides.
But you know, the Steelers have been resilient this year, and that's what's brought them here, Uh, team that nobody essentially wants to be undefeated and have the number one division seen Roethlisberger and the Steelers.
You know, there's only one team I think that people would not want to Seymour and I think that be the New England Patriots, the bad guys off football.
So I think the Steelers, you know, being in here in this position as its 2nd and 10 now after the incompletion, again looking for Johnson.
So that's four straight times.
He's been looking for Johnson today, but it's just over his head here.
2nd and 10, 2nd and 10.
Roethlisberger throws, and it is incomplete again.
A little bounce in there to Johnson as it was being hit.
So five straight attempts have been looking for Johnson 3rd and 10 here.
But here comes the pressure off the outside.
Everybody from the left coming out.
They had two guys to the right.
It was a smart attack by the Ravens.
It was It was a very, you know, smart play there.
Where they see the guys lined up.
They rushed from the left.
That puts pressure on Roethlisberger, where there's only a few guys over there to block most guys on the right.
And that sets up now 3rd and 10 for the Steelers offense.
Gonna be a key play here.
This past down the middle is caught Claypool as he fights his way to the 28 year old line, and he's finally brought down there with around seven minutes to go.
Now, in the second quarter's Claypool, the rookie who has made so many great plays this season, comes down with a great catch here as he fights his way for the first for more than a first down.
More like 20 yard pickup Peter Peter is Elliot.
Everybody's trying to swipe at the ball, but he holds on 1st and 10 from the 29 profits Burger throws and completed here down to the 21 year old line with McLeod, who box the punt earlier.
Our office partner takes the staff throws and it is caught.
It'll be first and goal down here.
The seven yard line.
No Thursday Night Football tomorrow.
Obviously, the Ravens were scheduled to play, but since they're in this covert situation, they will not play on Thursday, obviously now.
So that means that your next game is gonna be Sunday.
You have one PM games with the bronze Titan Spangles, Dolphins, lion spare, Saints, Falcons, Jaguars, Vikings, Colts, Texans, Raiders, Jets And then you got some four PM games.
And then the, uh, you know, you've got a Monday to Monday night games, Washington and Steelers Bills and nine I'm sorry.
Maybe it was the Steelers who were scheduled to play on Thursday.
But anyway, second and goal now after that completion to juju Smith Schuster with five minutes to go in the second quarter.
But you got Bills and Niners and Washington Steelers on Monday and Tuesdays.
Cowboys and Ravens.
So you've got a lot of games next week after Sunday as well.
Second and goal.
Roethlisberger throws to the end zone.
It is incomplete.
He was looking for Denzel Washington, and it is knocked down the So I said Denzel Washington, and then I James Washington over.
You're saying tens in Washington.
Now Roethlisberger throws its caught Eric.
No, it is dropped.
Could not hang on fourth angle.
Eric Ebron cannot hang on, so they will have to come out again for a field goal.
The trend lead by five here from the Steelers.
You know, maybe I go for it, but you know, I mean, if that balls caught, maybe I go for it.
But he brought here that ball's got to be caught like it's just a must catchable ball, not necessarily to get into the end zone, but at least to set you up for an easier fourth down conversion.
But now They're just gonna kick it with 4.
And the kick is good.
So the Steelers leakage 12 to 7 after two straight field goals from Boswell.
Even after missing the extra point, we'll be back after the break.
Your on SportsCastr? Mhm.
Anything? Yeah, right.
And we're back with the broadcast here on SportsCastr Pittsburgh leads it 12 to 7.
27 the Ravens will get the ball again.
And they have come up empty on pretty much every possession here today as Boswell to kick it away.
And you just wonder, How long is it until they will put in? They're back up? Well, really, their third stream.
But now we're going to be their back up quarterback for this one.
As Kevin Duvernay will not touch this ball and will come out to the 25 so will Robert Griffin, the third on first Insana.
And Griffin has not been so so great today.
Ravens the only team to start to former Heisman Trophy winner is like to be in the same season this year.
Robert Griffin, the third who was the 2011 Heisman Trophy runner in the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson.
But it goes to show you that just because you win the Heisman Trophy winner doesn't mean you're gonna be a great quarterback in the NFL.
You have to have a good transition.
And Griffin didn't have a bad transition right away.
But over time did.
And you could see Lamar Jackson's first season was not so great.
But second season M v p.
Unanimously and this season, Haddon Okay year and trying to lead the Class Ravens rather into the playoffs again.
Now, now, after a bad Roy Excuse me bad run here for the Ravens on second, our first down.
Rather now second down and 11 when, about four minutes to go, Duvernay goes in motion.
They faked the run on that play option, and it is incomplete.
There's Bryant fell down as he was going for the ball and clearly not too happy about that slip There.
Most combined sacks by teammates TJ Watt and Bud Dupri in 2020 17.
5, and then you have Leonard four, Floyd Rather and Aaron Donald with 17, so the still is currently lean it with 17.5.
Those two, and they're bound to add on to that today against the Ravens, 3rd and 11.
Griffin's gonna keep it himself.
He's gonna pick up the first down, keep on going all the way down to the 36 yard line of Pittsburgh.
Robert Griffin, the third with a big time pick up.
And that is gonna be the Steelers main enemy today.
Stopping the running game is gonna be the big thing, and a gain of 39 here right away finds it opening.
This is a designed run, and he goes right down the middle, finds his way.
A missed tackle, their ah, good block there, another Miss tackle.
And he's able to get down to the 36 year old on Robert, written in the third with a nice play there.
First attend, takes the snap, hands it off, and Edwards is going to get down near the 32 yard line.
I'm rooting for the Steelers today so that the Patriots could make the playoffs.
I mean, it's gonna be a tough road for the Patriots, and we'll see how it goes down.
But it starts right with beating the Chargers.
If we do that, we take a day by day, week by week, game by game.
If we can beat the Rams on Thursday Night Football, then if we can beat the Bills on Monday Night Football, and then if we can wrap it up with the Dolphins and the Jets would be funny if we want every game except for the Jets and lost to them after they were already owned.
15 and they finished one of 15.
That be a Bill Belichick nightmare right there and a Patriots fan nightmare.
But maybe it will stop the just from getting Trevor Lawrence.
Maybe that would be a good thing as well.
And 12 yard plus Excuse me, 12 players on the field for Pittsburgh.
So this is gonna be a penalty with 2 14 as we get close to the two minute warning.
But you could see your 12 men, and if you include the safety and that's just I don't know what, you've got six guys up of the line and then you've got your linebackers in the secondary.
And then, well, that was definitely not what you wanted to do.
If your Pittsburgh right there.
So you give the Ravens a few more yards here.
Second and one is all it's gonna be from the 20 eight yard line trying to get down to the 27 yard line.
Griffin takes the staff, fix the handoff, keeps it himself as he rolls, right, and he is injured as he hobbles along.
Would have picked up a few more yards but hobbled along with a little bit of a leg thing there.
We'll see what it is, but you could see running it here and right here you can feels it jumps.
Their little hobble is able to get out of bounds there.
But what have picked up a few more yards? We'll come back after the break.
See how bad the injury is.
Your on SportsCastr? Yeah.
Feel you Just Yeah.
Yeah, and we're back here on SportsCastr with the broadcast.
We're going to see how serious this Griffin injury is here.
He he was fine going into the play, ran the ball, and then all of a sudden started to have a little ankle things.
So maybe popped it as he was running.
I'm guessing It's not gonna be that major, but we'll have to check and see here.
So Griffin is back out there first in 10 with a minute.
Now you can see here right there, a little bit of an ankle thing, but clearly seems to be all good now as he ran towards the field and gave the thumbs up sign.
Griffin takes the step throws, and it is incomplete.
Looking for Hollywood.
Brown could not get it just ahead of him and stuck his hand up, but was not able to bring it in.
White covering him.
So that's kind of a little bit of Ah, tough matchup there for T J Watt.
But good thing it's not the best scenario for the Ravens there, as he didn't get enough, separation would have had more had he had a little bit.
Maybe another second, one second, and Griffin's gonna call a time out with a minute 53 on 2nd and 10.
So Ravens going to take their second time out and will see what they're going to come up with now.
Steelers. Like I said, we'll play on Monday.
They're playing at five PM and it will be against the Washington football team.
But we'll see how that one works out.
That's obviously a tough matchup for the Steelers, because Washington football team has had a great defense this year, So we'll see how that works out for the Steelers.
I mean, when I think of the Washington football team, I think of an easy game.
But I'm forgetting how good their defense is.
And you know, if they can slow down the Steelers and put some points on the board, then that'll certainly create, um, a tough matchup for the Steelers.
Here we go, Griffin hands it off.
Hill is gonna cut it back and is going to end up at around the 24 about the same place they started, that it will be third down, out third and nine.
All right now, you can clearly see that the Steelers of the leaders of this game, like just by the way that they've controlled the ball, their confidence going downfield, and you could see that the Ravens have been held up a lot other than that big run that got down to the 36 They've been shut down pretty much since then.
They handed off to Hill.
Hill is gonna pick up a first down, keep on going, go down to the three yard line.
So much for not a great offense.
I said right there.
They cut it down all the way.
They get all the way down to the three yard line and this is a nice play.
Their key blocks right on.
It's a missed tackle. Then some key blocking.
Ah, little cut back there and they barely pull them down.
It was Minka Fitzpatrick who pulls him down.
They run it here again, and Hill is going to get in for the touchdown.
They're gonna call him one yard short.
He's gonna be interest short of the first down.
Our my gosh, he's gonna be interest short of the touchdown.
But I think this was going to get reviewed and maybe be a touchdown.
Looks like he'll be short.
So his knee was down and the ball was not across the goal line.
Good call by the official there.
96 rushing yards for the Ravens, only 19 for Pittsburgh.
And we've got 26 seconds on the clock.
Baltimore loses, uses the last of their time out, so clearly they're hoping to punch it in right now against the Steelers.
They now have no timeouts remaining.
Justin Tucker warming up on the sidelines just in case he has to come in here.
But you're imagining they run the ball once and then either try one more running play or just spiking and have him kicked the field goal.
But I think I think right now if you miss this place, you have to run the ball again.
I think this is a mess score.
Remember, the Ravens did get the ball to start the first half.
I think this is a must score.
I think that you've got the Steelers in the position you want them to be.
You shut them down to a good extent, and you haven't had a lot of offense so far.
So I think you have to score if you're the Ravens right here.
So I think even if you can't score here, you get one play, maybe, and if that doesn't work, you try and spike the ball as fast as you can or get off a snap.
They have to score right here.
Or they're gonna have to try another running play.
Griffin takes the snap, they hand it off and this is gonna go nowhere.
They gotta get up.
They got to get off.
The Ravens have got to get up here.
You have to run the ball again.
You have to go somewhere.
Players here, they're in No hurry to get off of the Ravens Players.
10 seconds! Nine seconds! Eight seconds! They put it down.
You're running the ball.
You're not spiking at 54 They handed off.
No, they don't. They fake it through to the end zone.
Cut! No incomplete.
It was not the way I thought he had it.
That is the half.
The Steelers shut him down.
Mika Fitzpatrick and the Steelers defense shuts down.
The Ravens won an insane to plays right there.
But again, if you don't get it right there, you have got to go for it.
You can't settle for a field goal.
You're still behind.
You have to take a commanding lead and put the Steelers in a terrible position.
and this past, they just can't hang on.
And it's Fitzpatrick, the former Miami Dolphin who comes up with a big defensive play here on Wilson and the Ravens going to the half down, 12 to 7 skills.
We will see the second half kickoff.
That's the end of our broadcast.
I hope you guys enjoyed this one.
And good luck, everybody.
And we'll see you in the next broadcast.
Make sure to follow me on, SportsCastr, if you're not already.
So that way you never miss a broadcast and I will see you on the next one.
Good luck, Steelers.
I'm Nathan Sonny.
