What's going on, everybody? How's it going here for my free first broadcast, guys? So, uh, basically in this broadcast, all I want to talk about is, um, you know, the Saints cutting their roster down to 53 men.
You know, getting ready for the NFL season started up next Monday and just kind of want to talk about that briefly.
Like some of the moves.
Hussein's made this and that.
And obviously, the big news of the day is the Saints trading for Miami Dolphins stud linebacker Kiko Alonzo.
Go into depth about that in just a second.
Basically, on this channel I'm going to talk about is the Saints.
So if you're a big New Orleans Saints fan, feel free to follow me.
Ah, I'll probably be tuning in most games and all of that, you know, check me out on Instagram at Michael Belco.
Yeah, so let's talk about Kiko Alonso first.
So, basically, we just landed.
The one of the best linebackers in the NFL had over 110 tackles the past four seasons and will be traded for him was a backup linebacker invents Beagle.
Um, obviously, the Dolphins were trying to get rid of them.
Some, uh, you know, just the team not being good.
So they're in rebuild mode, and, you know, we still we haven't for this year next year.
So this is obviously a huge for the saints who needed a linebacker especially.
And, uh so I think this is gonna be a great addition for the Saints.
Um uh, what to expect in Kiko? Alonzo.
I mean, just just the fact that he's gonna be paired up with DeMario Davis, who had a breakout season last year.
He's going to be me who's an up and coming star, and then a J.
Klein's gonna be a very good backup for us now.
And Kiko Alonzo has been ableto play outside linebacker he has in his career.
He did last season, can also play Mike linebacker, which is in the middle, which is where we're gonna have to Mario.
So it's just a really exciting time in a very big upgrade to our defense and especially trading m for next to nothing.
It's just absolutely insane.
Um, so yeah, I mean, obviously I did Kiko Alonso.
Our defense looks insanely good now, but, uh, let's talk about some moves, the same sentiment to get to their 53.
So obviously, at quarterback we kept all three of our Q B's Taysom, Drew and Teddy.
Uh, there's a little bit of heroin if we were going to keep him or cut him and this and that.
But I'm glad we decided Tow hold onto him.
You know, he's a reliable backup and, you know, just in case tastes, um, does get hurt playing a different position.
It be nice to make sure we have a good backup quarterback.
Um, one of the there's like three or four really questionable decisions that the Saints made that I'm not to Fonda off one being divine Ozick boat.
We released the Vine Ozick boat hoping to get him on the practice squad, but the Jacksonville Jaguars actually just picked him up not too long ago.
So, um, losing divine Ozick Bo's obviously hurts because we could have had him for very cheap, But, uh, it's just missing out on good talent like that, especially a guy who looked really good in the preseason.
Just stinks, especially since we couldn't end up landing him on our, uh, on our practice squad through the Jaguars.
What's up, man? How are you? Um, yeah, he's obviously a questionable cut.
Another questionable one is Ah, is wide receiver a little Jordan Humphrey, former Texas wide receiver.
I was really hoping we could hold on to him, but hopefully we're able to get him on the practice squad.
Um, you know, he looked extremely good in the preseason.
He's kind of a Michael Thomas type of receiver, like a Willie Snead.
Michael, with all this type of guy.
Um, but, you know, just a couple moves like that that I just like, What are you doing? Things like You could have good, good great receivers out there, but, um, manual butler, obviously, Yeah, that's true.
He definitely wanted out of Miami, but, uh, anyway, the manual butler was another guy who had definitely think we should try to get on the practice squad for sure.
Kate can absolutely catch.
He's a great receiver.
It's a great guy, is just you know, I think the Saints were just more or less just tryingto keep the same core group of what the hell happened.
Keep the same like core group of, Ah, just guys together.
And, um, just keep building off where we were last year.
You know, we didn't really sign that many people, and I mean, rightfully so we didn't really need any more people, but, um, yeah, Fender Bender.
The dolphins are definitely on the decline, and, uh, obviously, it's a little rough.
They're on the Yeah, they're just They're just bad.
They released everybody, and they traded everybody.
But I'm not here to talk about the dolphins, man. I'm just here to talk.
I'm really excited, though.
For week one man.
Really? They're going to get two of this year's Probably Yeah.
I'm really excited for week one.
No, you don't get that Houston Texans and, uh, how she will actually be more of a game that people are thinking it will be.
I think a lot of people just just think that we're just gonna blow him out of the water.
But I'm not sure, man, you know, um all right. Thanks. A 60.
Appreciate it. Have a good woman.
Um, but I think it's gonna be close quarterbacks, I think.
Obviously we have the advantage.
Obviously, we have the advantage with Tamara Murray.
And I think we kept away in Washington receivers.
It could go either way, man.
You know Michael Thomas and Ted Ganor.
All those dudes going up against DeAndre Hopkins and DeAndre.
Och, Kenny Stills.
Those kind of guys.
So, uh, I don't know, man.
It's just and we will be close.
Don't be interesting, but I think we'll win.
Obviously, there's just I don't know.
I think we just have so much talent this year that I think the sky's the limit for us 100%.
We just got to put everything together and go out there playing.
You were in the Saints football.
Um, I'll probably also tune in later tonight while I'm doing my fantasy draft and, uh, just let you guys know pick by pick.
Who's going who's going where.
So if you guys have drafts coming up and whatnot, you guys could get a little insight.
It's a really competitively gets the money lead.
So PPR league as well.
So you know, you guys should just tune in if you want.
Tonight will be a 7 30 ish.
Um, yeah, I might might go live then as well.
But, uh, yeah, really a guy that I'm really just really happy made the roster is, uh, Deante Harris.
That's my guy. I mean, I talked to him a little bit on Instagram.
He's just a really just a great guy, and he's just really friendly with me.
I think, obviously, that punt return touchdown definitely sealed it for him, but he was already gonna make a He's obviously having competition with Marcus Sherels hoo.
The sole reason we signed Marcus Sherels was to give Toby are kicking punt returner, but obviously due to injuries and what not, um, he just didn't make the cut.
And never really.
He didn't even play for a good injury.
So you know, it's just a matter of going with who played and was healthy, and Deante was, and he played very well.
And that led to him staying on the roster.
And, honestly, I couldn't be more happy for him.
He's just a great kid.
I can't wait to see what he does in the regular season, you know, um, another questionable cut and a questionable decision overall was keeping Ken Crawley on the roster our corner.
Instead of keeping a guy like Kayvon Webster, somebody like that, you know, or Chris Banjo, we could easily cut Chris Banjo instead of Can Crawley.
That just it annoys me.
Chris Banjos a great special teams player, and he's been on our team for a couple of years now, and he's proven to be great.
You know, at what he does as a backup safety late in games, you would come in and he would produce, get interceptions, make big kids.
That's the kind of energy reading on our team and seeing him leave for a guy to stick around that Ken Crawley.
Especially when King Crawley didn't look good in the preseason.
You just really just annoys me most of all in I don't know.
It's just I don't know.
I don't I'm not a King Crawley fan, and I really I mean, I'm typically one that just is only usually a player type of guy and, like I always try to find the best in players.
But can Crawley just ain't it, chief, He's just He struggles with coverage.
He's just every play.
He makes its just like right place right time.
It's almost like lucky.
You know, he's never late.
He's definitely like the closest to get cut on our roster.
Hopefully, maybe he gets cut whenever Rankin comes back or whenever. On Yamato.
It comes back and we two something like that.
But I don't know, man.
It's just frustrating as a Saints fan seeing let's keep the same guy around, I don't know.
Maybe he made strides in camp that we didn't see.
And, um, you know, it's just obviously, you know, Sean Payton and his coaching staff clearly knows what they're doing, because the past couple of years we've been outstanding.
We've been drafting very well.
We've been flying these, these Jim's out of nowhere and, you know, obviously what we're doing is working.
So, you know, I have full faith and confidence in the New Orleans Saints coaching staff, so, you know, I try not to question them too much, but, um, you know, for the most part, I agree with the decisions that we made a kind of predict them an article I wrote on Ah unwrap Sports Network.
My handle for all you guys who don't know go check them out on Twitter at us and network.
Um, just Yeah, Yeah, for the most part.
Like our cuts were understandable.
Reasonable? I wasn't surprised to see Kayvon Webster go.
I even said that in my article that he was likely to go and all of that.
So I'm really happy we decided to hold on to P.
Williams. That was a great decision.
I think we're gonna have one of the most underrated cornerback crews and the entire NFL this year.
Williams is a very, very good third corner.
He's a great nickel corner.
Will come out here, get stops, make tackles, get picks, all that good stuff.
So really excited to see what he does this regular season on and everything like that.
You have any questions or anything? Er but I'm definitely, definitely definitely definitely excited about getting Kiko. Alonzo.
I actually want Kiko.
Alonzo requested a trade.
I was like, Man, I really hope the saints get this guy.
I've always been a big Kiko Alonzo fan.
Some may say he's dirty, but like, you know, it is what it is.
People you know, haters are gonna hate this.
So you know it's gonna come out here to do our thing Ball out, man.
I was really hoping we could keep Will Compton, too.
But you got to think they were gonna will Compton got cut was because we were probably making a move it Kiko Alonzo.
So this is just It's just another example of why I have complete faith and confidence in the New Orleans Saints coaching staff like Yeah, sure, some move their questionable.
But you also don't know like they have more information that we do.
So you never know, Like, what kind of moves they're making on the low, you know, like maybe the reason we didn't keep a little Jordan Humphries because we might be going after the Marius Thomas or it might be going after a different big name receiver that's currently a free agent or something like that.
You know, you just never know maybe a reason we didn't keep Divino zig bows because we're trying to go after a bigger name running back, you know, it's just I'm sure they knew you were going to be free agents long before we knew you were going to be free agents, and so they're probably just trying to get their ducks in a row and try to figure out who they actually want on their roster.
Because the Saints are on win now, mode are full mentality is to be in Miami at the end of the season, hoisting that Lombardi Trophy and our roster shows that the way we built our roster shows that, and quite frankly, last year we should have been there.
But I'm not gonna go into that.
But, yeah, you know, just everything.
All the moves the Saints are making, you know, doing non Saints type of things.
It's just going to show that, like the Saints wantto win, they want a win.
Now, while we still have Drew and they wanna win in the future, you know, signing Michael Thomas that extension, something the state's usually don't do it. The receivers.
They usually don't sign receivers to big extensions.
I'm sure they'll sign Camara to a big one at the end of next year.
It's just we don't usually sign guys too.
I did it with Camp Jordan.
You've done it with Michael Thomas.
I'm sure they'll continue to do it.
It's just I'm really liking the vibe st you're giving me right now.
As long as we keep this train or only man, we're gonna be competitive for years.
Not just this year.
Not just next year.
For honestly, even with with or without Drew Brees, we're gonna be competitive for a while.
I mean, we have a top three receiver in the NFL.
We have a top three running back in the NFL, and our defense is up and up and coming.
It's just I really am excited for the future of the New Orleans Saints.
And the future starts now and I can't wait to tune in with you Got it all season long talking about my favorite team, the New Orleans Saints.
Take it easy, guys.
Have a great day. Have a great night.
Maybe later tonight.
And if not, I'll see you guys later this week.
