00:00:00
headlines. Welcome to December.
00:00:02
Um, here in Cincinnati, we actually got some snow on the roof, a little bit stuck to the ground.
00:00:07
So that's a pleasant surprise.
00:00:09
Um, I am bringing to you our 1st December episode.
00:00:13
This is going to be thes sports headlines, mock drafts on.
00:00:16
I made a mock draft.
00:00:17
I'm also gonna give you our power rankings.
00:00:19
We didn't do those last week because of thanksgiving, but we're bringing them back to you this week and just covering the last two weeks.
00:00:28
Week 12, week 11 and 12.
00:00:30
Um, I would like to take a minute.
00:00:34
Andi inform you all that Doug Peterson is a pad. George.
00:00:43
Um, the article for today's under today's episode is about the Eagles just not knowing what they're doing.
00:00:53
And Doug Pearson blamed the Eagles inconsistencies on ah, lack of Jalen hurts reps Essentially saying Jalen Hurts was not, um, involved as much as as he wanted to, um, And the lack of opportunity says they've given him, which then begs the question.
00:01:13
So then who's the head coach? Because if you're the head coach, then you should be able to fix that right? Because you you.
00:01:20
You're You're an offensive guy.
00:01:22
It's not like your deep like a defensive coach at heart, like Bill Belichick or or Matt Patricia.
00:01:30
But, um, your offensive minded coach.
00:01:35
So why are you going to be the one that says that second round draft pick the quarterback who went to Alabama then went to Oklahoma but is really, really versatile? He could probably play receiver, tight end, or even running back for us.
00:01:49
He's that good, that talented we need to give him or opportunities.
00:01:52
Who can I Who can I ask? Hey, who would be able to Hey, Jeff.
00:02:01
Jeff, can you Can you give Jalen Jalen hurts? You know the guy who drafted in the second round? Can you give him some more opportunities in the offense? Oh, you can't.
00:02:12
I have to. On the head, coach.
00:02:15
Oh, my goodness.
00:02:19
I thought I was still being carried by Frank, right? He hasn't worked here in how many years.
00:02:36
So Doug Peterson is a comically bad head coach and Eagles receiver.
00:02:40
Last night did not know he was supposed to be catching a screen pass.
00:02:43
There was a screen called the offensive Linemen.
00:02:46
Uh, you know, moved out of the way to go block for him, like, you know, you're doing a screen pass and there was no receiver there to throw the ball to.
00:02:55
So Carson Wentz.
00:02:57
It was basically waiting with the linemen coming into space, and he had no one to throw the ball to you.
00:03:04
It was It was ugly in that Seattle Philadelphia game.
00:03:08
I mean, Philadelphia is supposed to have a good offensive line.
00:03:12
Seattle has a bad pass rush.
00:03:15
Okay, Seattle's pass rush is not good.
00:03:16
Carlos Dunlap is their best pass rusher.
00:03:20
They traded for him midseason from the Bengals, and he is not Prime Carlos.
00:03:24
Unlike gonna get you 12 12.
00:03:25
5 13 sacks a year.
00:03:28
He is an older, not is still good, but not quite not a premier pass rusher in league Carlos Dunlap.
00:03:36
And that pass rush, led by Carlos Dunlap, was just in Carson Wentz his face all day or all night.
00:03:46
They were just getting to the line that instant block sheds.
00:03:48
Uh, if you're playing Madden and you've got an X factor say you have an X factor.
00:03:53
Aaron Donald Online and you do, Ah, rush move.
00:03:57
He's lit up instant blocks, and that's what was happening last night.
00:04:01
Except it was in real life against real offensive lineman's with with Fletcher Cox Brandon Graham, who are two very, very good pass rushers, but not like they were e even when the Eagles won the Super Bowl.
00:04:13
Those were the premier guys in the league.
00:04:15
Um, in terms of pass rushing.
00:04:17
They had one of the best pass rushes.
00:04:19
They looked like that Eagles pass rush once again.
00:04:22
Pass rush front four.
00:04:24
Not front seven, not secondary.
00:04:27
But front four looked really, really good against that Seattle offensive line.
00:04:34
But the Seattle D line looked equally is good with probably about half the talent against that against that Philadelphia offensive line.
00:04:43
And, boy, Oh, boy, that was ugly.
00:04:45
Um, we're gonna see what we're going to when we when we do the mock draft, you're going to see, um, you're definitely When we do the mock draft, you will see what we think will happen with the Eagles.
00:05:02
Um, so and I have two different perspectives, if you will, but we'll see what happens with him.
00:05:09
Um, another thing that really, really intrigues me is why in the world why would Doug Peterson just I mean, the Eagles are not the most talented, especially skill wise on offense, right? But they have a potentially top five top eight quarterback in the league potential.
00:05:42
He has not played like it at all but potential.
00:05:45
Um, and it it's just you should be able to have more often than you did.
00:05:54
You scored a garbage signed touchdown, you got a two point conversion, made it seem closer than it really was.
00:05:59
But you guys were gonna lose that game.
00:06:01
And it's not even that Russell Wilson threw for five touchdowns, no picks in 400 yards, and then Chris Carson rushed for another 100 on the ground.
00:06:09
I mean, your defense did reasonably well against Seattle's explosive offense, and, you know, Tyler Lockett barely had any catches.
00:06:19
Metcalf was the guy, and you had your best corner Darius slay on them.
00:06:21
I guess what I'm trying to say is, eagles just have no direction, and that's going to start off the power rankings.
00:06:29
Um, for today, if you all give me was that you never go.
00:06:39
Also be sure you guys, um, to watch the Justin Herbert film session that Sean just posted earlier today on Ben.
00:06:48
I think tomorrow we're going to do a to a tongue via Loa Films breakdown to see if he could be the, uh, Dolphins, the franchise quarterback for the Dolphins for the next 10, 12, 14 years.
00:07:03
But let's get into the power rankings starting at the top.
00:07:08
I've got the Chiefs.
00:07:09
That number one.
00:07:10
Obviously, the Steelers stay put a swell.
00:07:11
I have the Packers going up three spots, I think, Um, with with economists saying Brown and Alan Lazard coming back from injury, you've got Erin Jones, of course, back from injury and Jamal Williams looking good.
00:07:26
Mark was built on scaling, has taken steps, Um, the past two weeks.
00:07:30
He's catching a lot better and a lot more frequently, and that is amazing as a Packers fan to see now.
00:07:36
He did have that fumble, but he was he with.
00:07:40
They wouldn't even been in that spot to give him the ball on the screen, passing over time if he hadn't caught that ball.
00:07:45
Um, on the 3rd and 10, when they were backed up on their inside their own 10 yard line and Rodgers threw that ball from the end zone.
00:07:54
Um, I've got the Buccaneers falling.
00:07:56
Three. Shawn also has the Bucks falling. Three.
00:07:58
Um, that is Shawn's biggest faller in terms of the this week's power rankings, and I've got the Saints going down two spots as well.
00:08:06
I was just more impressed by the Packers and the Seahawks that they're gonna stay put really Onley because it seems to me that the Seattle Seahawks aren't quite the the well rounded offense.
00:08:25
They seem either, too one dimensional in terms of run or too one dimensional.
00:08:29
In terms of the past, Green Bay is running.
00:08:31
Game is more explosive than Seattle's running game.
00:08:33
I think that's a playing fact.
00:08:36
I don't think you can really debate that, Um, if you just look at there's a variety of backs for both teams in the production of those backs and then the passing game.
00:08:46
Seattle has a really, really explosive explosive passing game, but if they want to run on the run as we've seen the last few weeks, then they kind of get away from the past and they don't have necessarily those big explosive plays which the Packers can have while still running the ball and focusing on the run.
00:09:02
Okay? Or if both teams wanted to focus on the past, right? Maybe Seattle has a slightly more explosive passing offense.
00:09:08
If they're going, you know Russell Real Wilson.
00:09:11
Hey, listen, throw the ball 50 times a game.
00:09:13
There is Sean Davis.
00:09:15
Um, but I think Green Bay overall has a more well rounded offense in Seattle.
00:09:21
And then defensively, I was just talking about Seattle's pass rush Philadelphia.
00:09:25
They looked like broken turnstiles, though.
00:09:27
It offensive line.
00:09:28
They were just getting through there in an instant.
00:09:30
Let's see how the Shonda What's up, Sean? Hey, thank you for having me on.
00:09:34
Has always Yeah. Yeah, you're welcome.
00:09:37
Um um so I was just breaking down the power rankings.
00:09:42
I did some ****ysis on the Sea Hawks Eagles game is Well, um, I've already clowned on Doug Peterson.
00:09:48
Is there anyone anything you want to say about Mr Peterson over in Philadelphia? He should have been fired yesterday.
00:09:54
Year assed faras
