Ready? Welcome in, Ladies and gentlemen to the Bills.
Guys, my name is Steve Mathis.
You confined me as always on Twitter at Judge Mathis and I am joined by my co host, Dave Tilton.
You can find him on Twitter at tilt money, and it is a victory Monday, but it is a very, very unusual victory Monday, to say the least, right, Dave, it is a very unusual victory Monday.
We're gonna have a few surprises for the show tonight.
I'm feeling I'm feeling good today.
I'm feeling really good.
Um, you know, it's always easier to kind of take things with a critical eye, so to speak when it's ah when it's after a win.
But, you know, Twitter bills, Twitter didn't disappoint or even last night.
So there's a lot bills.
Twitter never disappoints.
But, man, let me tell you this today was today was good We've got people filing in right now.
Aaron Smith was in there before we even got going.
Carson Bills is in here.
Travis PSINet, Matthew Pelosi, Randy Hardman, Argy.
Randy's in there.
Andrew Miller is in the house.
Chad Cooper, Lone Wolf Bills, guys and and Mawr are pouring in right now.
And so yeah, it's gonna be a fun one tonight.
Um, got a lot of material.
And here's what I want everyone.
Everyone watching this show right now.
Here's what I want you to dio and and go with me here.
I want you to close your eyes and I want you to envision that second half of football that you watched yesterday.
All three turnovers.
The Hail Mary that once again was completed on us the abundance of penalties, whether they were legitimate or not.
Just think of the debacle that was the second half of that football game yesterday.
And now open your eyes and I'm gonna do you a favor.
Please give your attention to my associate agent Jay.
He's going to demonstrate an electro biomechanical neural transmitting zero synapse reposition her.
We call it the Neural Isar. keep it simple.
Thank you, Agent Kay.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you will look right here, you're welcome.
We can just We can just forget about it.
We can just forget about everything that we watched in the second half of the football game yesterday because wolf, but it was.
What were your thoughts? What were your thoughts on on yesterday's game? I'll joking aside.
No, all joking aside, I mean, my thoughts were that I felt again, not that it was the same.
Not that it was the same as Week one, because obviously weak one was was just one of those dominating games.
And the Jets kind of got these fluky place.
But it was one of those games where I felt like the Bills really did dominate this game, right? I felt like, um, you know, the running game was going.
The defense was playing well against the run outside of two, only two runs the heckler had that were one for Echo, one for Kelly that were big runs.
Otherwise, we kind of shut them down.
Played a great game against a really tough receiving duo.
And Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.
Hunter Henry like he had hollow statistics, in my opinion, in this game.
So in my my, my feeling is that the Bills really dominated this game.
But it was self inflicted issues that kind of kept the Chargers in it throughout.
And you know, I can't help but kind of think forward and think like we you know, we can't make these mistakes.
You know, when it comes time for the playoffs, because you might not get another chance in something better competition.
But for the game yesterday, I just felt like the Bills really dominated.
They still ended up winning by 10 points, which obviously covered the spread.
They scored 27 points, but you kind of felt like man like we won by 10.
We scored 27 points and we and we left some stuff out there honestly, like this could have been a much bigger margin of victory.
And I'm happy that Bills one, obviously.
But um, it's kind of nice if you look at it from a glass half full perspective that the Bills really didn't play their best game and they still be a talented Chargers team with a Rookie of the year frontrunner and Justin Herbert in a good offensive weapons that they have.
Obviously, Joey Joey Bosa wreaked havoc on the Bills yesterday and it's it.
And at the end of the day, it didn't matter.
They still came out with the wind.
So overall, I feel I feel happy.
I'm happy they want.
Yeah, I mean, if you really think about it, we played as bad as you mentioned.
You know, we were as unlucky, like we want to criticize the offense and the offense didn't play great yesterday.
We'll get to it.
We're gonna talk about the offense next, and we'll talk about maybe some of the reasons why.
Three offense wasn't clicking, but they still scored 27 points, something they only did three times last year.
Amazingly so, I got a tweet from my favorite Buffalo Bills insider, uh, Sale Cappuccio, who had a really interesting tweet.
Hey, said one of the biggest differences between the 2020 Buffalo Bills versus many years.
And this also goes for Josh Allen, specifically, is there.
Floors are higher when the team or Aylin doesn't play particularly well.
It's still good enough to either win or give the Buffalo Bills a chance to win.
He went on to say.
He went on to say in another tweet, You know, if this if this was this was last year or something like that, you know, and the offense was playing like this, they would have put up 27 points and we would have needed elite defense and elite special teams and a couple of breaks to go our way here and there.
So the floor of what this football team is from last year is insanely different because we averaged 19 points a game last year.
Bond, we scored 27.
And what was? Fans are complaining about Azan ugly performance from the offense yesterday.
So So that's really, really encouraging.
And I noticed a couple of people asked me if we're gonna have bills.
Guys live tonight, and I see that Bobby is in the chat.
So, Bobby, towards the end of the show at around the 8 15 8 20 marker, are you gonna be here? Thio, except some call ins for us and shoot people the invite in the text club.
And then we got Bobby in the comments section there.
Uh, but you know, I will.
I will say this.
This game to me was clearly a battle of two teams that we're dinking and dunking like both teams on defense were dropping everybody back and both quarterbacks or taking exactly what the defense gave them.
And the Buffalo Bills.
You could tell because they were playing a six offensive tackle all game and Lee Smith came in with the plan to run the football, even if maybe some passes were available. They didn't care.
They wanted to run the football improve that they could run the football.
And this was just a battle of teams that could dink, dink and dunk.
And the Bills were far more successful than the Chargers.
The Bills just happened to turn the ball over two more times than the Chargers.
Yeah, and that's exactly why the charges were in the game here.
And we're talking about kind of like that, feeling that the Bills really should have one more and broke with Super chat here kind of hits it right is a win is a win is a win.
You'll hear Pierre saying that all the time.
Uh, it was an ugly wind, but we'll take it, obviously. Yeah.
The goal ultimate goal at the end of it at the end of yesterday was to be eight and three, right? I mean, that was the ultimate goal.
Um, you know, and we got that done.
So ugly or not, Yes, a win is a win, but there's nuance to that that we're gonna talk about today.
Um, you're right about the dinking and dunking.
Um, the bills personnel, I feel like, is better suited for that.
That may be the Chargers were other than, obviously guy like Austin echl er who is, like, probably the best, you know, outside of Stefon Diggs.
Probably the best offensive weapon on the field yesterday for either team.
Uh, not to discredit Keenan Allen because he's a weapon.
He just You know, the Bills had a good game plan for him yesterday, but I mean, eh, Klar was doing damage in the receiving game, you know, dump offs.
I think he had, like, eight catches or something like that or something.
You know, something around that close to double digit catches, and then, you know the bills.
Um, with the running game, we're kind of like not I wouldn't say dinking and dunking, but like they were taking a, um, or measured and mawr sort of conservative approach.
So from that standpoint, yeah, both teams were doing the same type of thing on it.
It just happened to be that those turnovers or what kept the charges in the game overall.
And that's really why this game was probably felt like it should have been more than a 10 point win, but ended up on Lee being a 10 point win.
Yeah, sorry, I'm messaging Bobby real quick about the bills.
I just said, Bobby, I'm gonna damage to your Twitter.
I was excellently Cento sent that to every social media that we're on right now.
But yeah, we got Josh Clarke coming in and he says that shout out to Josh Allen's A C L for being the MVP of the game.
Jesus, that was scary.
Yeah, that was frightening.
Kudos to Matt Barkley.
The baller that Matt Barkley is comes in, takes a wicked sack from Joey Bosa and then tweets out tweets out after the game.
Like I hope you're feeling okay after that, You know, Joy, buzzer what? He said something like that and it was.
It was hilarious, but yeah, that was scary.
And And kudos to Joshua. Me.
We talk about a franchise quarterback, right? And you talk about you see to a talk about low, uh, on and you know, he's got a sore ankle and he hit his thumb and like all these things and he's not playing.
Meanwhile, by the by the time this season is over, Josh Allen will have played through a, um, an A C joint sprain and his non throwing shoulder.
And through what appears to be, according to several people out there on Twitter, taking a look at the knee brace that Josh was wearing an M. C l sprain.
So we're about Thio, you know, by by seasons, then Josh is gonna have played through too pretty serious injuries.
Um, you know, it seemed like his play dipped a little bit after that, a C joint sprain, and then the second that brace came off his shoulder.
He had that big game against Seattle, so hopefully this doesn't deter him too much.
It sure as heck didn't look like it was deterring his running in the second half of that game, but there is something to be said about adrenaline, which is something where Monday morning Josh is gonna wake up and that adrenaline is not gonna be flowing anymore.
And that needs gonna hurt eso.
Whether he could get that adrenaline pumping up again by next week's game remains to be seen.
But he's got some extra time to heal that thing up on.
Get a ah, brace fitting that that works for him.
Yeah, I mean, in that run, he had the touchdown run to the left toe to the left.
Pylon came after the injury and he was still able to kind of get that edge.
And, you know, he didn't look quite 100% but that was to be expected.
Obviously, you don't expect him to be 100% after what looked like It could have been a pretty serious injury, but you mentioned, you know, the franchise quarterback thing, and that's an important point for me here because, you know, do you want to go the the route of a two? And now it's still so early into his career.
We don't know how it's gonna play out.
Or do you wanna become known as a guy like a Matthew Stafford or is a guy like a Ben Roethlisberger who or Brett Farve, who are they get beat to **** all the time, brought this burger limping back up to the line, Still playing Stafford.
What was it? Broken ribs or like his arm was dislocated one year and he, like, took the Lions on the game winning drive Like if you're quarterbacks showing you that kind of toughness, the whole team is going to get behind that right.
The whole team is going to take on that type of mentality, and it starts with Josh and for him to do that, I mean, that says all.
I need to know about him being wanting to be the the guy that doesn't miss a play.
I mean, he came out for one play right, and like you said, the Barkley got sacked.
I that's you know, that's who I want him to be in the same conversation with when you start talking about the toughness of quarterbacks around the NFL, I want him to be in that conversation with staffers and the Roethlisberger's.
You play through pretty much anything.
Mm alright, let's let's shift our focus, uh, completely to the offense.
Let's talk about the good and the bad of the offense this week.
Let's start with the good.
What were you impressed with in terms of the Buffalo Bills offense this week? Well, I was impressed with the fact that they were able to get the running game going a little bit more than a little bit, I should say, And it was in one of those situations where, um it was like high volume and not efficient.
I mean, you know, Singletary and Moss combined.
You know, it felt like more, but they they only actually had 20 carries combined between the two of them, right? And it was Singletary averaging 7.
5 per carry, Moss averaging over 6.5 per carry.
Thean efficiency off the running game that those two displayed and that is on top of.
I couldn't even tell you how many times I yelled at my screen after tackles for again.
This is we're gonna get to the bad.
But losses in the backfield they were able to overcome those negative run plays negative yardage, one place and still rush for 7.
So I like to see I liked seeing that with the offense, getting the getting the ground game, going a little bit there.
Um And I also, you know, I liked the efficiency in the passing game.
I mean, Alan had the one, uh you know, the one interception in the fumble, but like, he was still 18 of 24 passing the ball, right? So the dink and dunk, like you said like he was doing, he wasn't doing too much or he wasn't trying to do too much other than maybe that one interception and the fumble where maybe he should have fell on it.
So the efficiency, the passing game was there in a game where the running, uh, the You know, the running game was averaging close to six yards per carry, and that includes Josh's carry So and you can add like you can pull it.
DeAndre Hopkins to add those at those air yards for Stefon Diggs on that pass interference that led to the first.
I mean, that's another what 50 45 45 15, 45 50 yards of of additional yardage that Josh unaccounted for.
So I'm with you.
I, like I mentioned it appeared like both teams were just planning on dinking and dunking.
The Buffalo Bills came in and they said, Defense be ****ed.
We're going to prove to everyone that we know how to run the football, whether that's good, good for our game flow, you know, the optimal way to score or not.
We're going to try to run it down their throats to prove to this team, to this roster, to this coaching staff, to this personnel, to whoever is in the stadium that we could do it like it just seemed like today was We're gonna prove we know how to run the ball that we're not complete idiots on.
But I think that honestly took away from the passing game, and I was a little disappointed by that, and I'll get to that in a second.
But we gotta have a conversation about Brian winners, Uh, because the Buffalo Bills had two weeks to reassess their offensive line, and I understand that Cody Ford reinjured, Uh, that, uh, rotator cuff for meniscus or something like that.
He he reinjured it late in the week, so I understand that some things might have changed.
Maybe it was Cody Ford slotted into that right guard spot.
Who knows? Maybe it was Cody Ford at left guard.
Brian Winners or I'm sorry.
John Feliciano, right guard, whatever the case is.
But still, they had two weeks to re evaluate this offensive line.
And they still think that Brian Winners is a quality starter in the National Football League, or at least one of their best five offensive linemen.
And I'm really disappointed that after the first couple of snaps of that football game, this wasn't Sean McDermott and Brian Tables.
I've been a huge mistake.
Another arrested development.
I don't even think that they think that they made a mistake.
They think he's the He's the best.
He they think he is the best they could do on the office of line.
Meanwhile, like butter and Ryan Bates on the bench, I just don't understand it well.
And also they had they they slip them over the left guard to start the game.
Okay, So Rich Gannon said they did that.
They didn't do that.
Okay, so they that was a mix up with.
It never happened.
I after Rich Gannon said that I was like, What? Because I had heard pundit after pundit after pundit and say, Brian Winters has no position Flex his got his position is right guard and right guard only.
Thurman even said that I believe in a press conference earlier this year.
So when Rich Gannon said that my ears perked up, I was like, What? Yeah, is that on the starting lineups? To which and I odd, I legitimately looked down at the offensive line for, like, the next three plays to see what I was missing.
And Brian Winters was next to Darryl Williams.
So unless Darryl always play left tackle, Brian Williams is playing right guard.
So I have no idea where CBS got that from eso.
So why is s? So the question becomes why Zeit Bucker not playing left guard, then e think they'll gone would be right on here.
I mean, Brian Winters, the Nathan Pete, the practice M v P practice M V P.
Eventually, eventually, you gotta Eventually you gotta look at the games though, right? I mean, the thing that bothered me the most, I think um, about the whole thing was even after the game.
Yeah, that comment right there that Matt Perino asked Sean McDermott.
And he said, McBrien, Winters has done a solid job, and he's like Like, he's something like that.
I'm paraphrasing, But he's done a solid job and he's done everything we've asked him to do.
And he's done a good job like No, he hasn't man like, No, no, he hasn't.
But if that's really the best, like, you've got to give someone else a chance If someone else sucks like it but turns up sucking it, Ryan basins up sucking.
At least you tried.
But it's like they're not even seemingly willing to try, which I find a little odd.
And they have some cushion now at eight and three s, Pierre says here to try.
They have some leeway to maybe try some things, But we gotta.
There was a comment here I met.
I saw it from P.
Josh seemed out of rhythm passing.
I'm nervous that pushing that run game takes away what Josh excels at their excels in with the passing game and I'm with you, P J.
And there's another tweet I want to bring up from our friend at Buffalo.
Bruce Nolan, Bruce Exclusive, He said on Twitter last night.
I was not a fan of the offensive play calling today on first watch.
Running the ball effectively does not necessitate running it often.
The best thing the 2020 Bills do is throw the ball, and the Chargers back seven isn't good.
This felt like an established the run game.
The Bills called a run play 14 times on 1st and 10 or second in long running.
The ball was effective overall today against the Los Angeles Chargers, But consistently running the ball out of those game scripts and having at work is not a common occurrence.
You and I'll tell you what.
Yes, you want to get the running game better.
You want to get the running game right.
But to force it like they did was wrong.
If if I'm Brian Table and I'm Sean McDermott, my my thought process about running the football would be if it's first down unless above.
Unless it's late in the game and we're milking a lead.
The Buffalo Bills should never in 2020 run the ball on first down, we shouldn't.
The best thing about this football team is Josh Allen and throwing that football eso.
We should never once throw the ball on 1st and 10, and if it's incomplete, we better **** well throw the ball again on 2nd and 10.
I'll put it this way, even a draw play.
But the only time we should be running the football is when it's like second and three second and six third.
Like you know what, It Z unless it's like under six yards.
I don't want us running this football like people see it coming on first down, we should be throwing the ball on first down, not running, and I'll put it to you this way.
It's first in 10.
You run the ball for a one yard gain or a lot of times we run the ball for negative yardage.
Let's be real about that.
You run the ball for a one yard gain, its second nine.
What did that do for you if you if you throw the ball on 1st and 10 and it's incomplete, what? What the hell is the difference between 2nd and 10 and second and nine. Nothing.
There's no difference.
So throw the ball on first down, pick up 67 yards.
If you have Thio, Beasley digs whatever.
Then all of a sudden, when it's second and three second for even second in five, okay, then you can run the ball.
And even if you don't get the first down, you pick up your crappy two or three yards.
Now, at least you have an option on 3rd and 1 32 to run it with Alan to run it with Moss to pass the ball to do something.
When the Kenzi right.
That's the thing that baffles me.
And I said, I tweeted during the game early in the game yesterday that it wasn't the best start for Brian double play calling wise.
Early on in the game, he you got the creative juices flowing with that Beasley touchdown pass.
And after that, you know? Okay, fine.
But like I didn't I did not think it was his best game early on, and, um, I kind of agree with Bruce on that one, especially because this strength, um, you know, the strength of our team is passing, and the charges were beat up on the secondary did find it a little odd.
So I'm with you, totally path the ball on first down.
Let's do it and and this comment or I'm sorry.
I say this comment a lot and I get flack for it from some people who say it's unrealistic.
For those of you who don't think Sean McDermott has a hand in the office of game planning, the man has his hands on every aspect of this organization.
I mean, read Thai Dunes article about how Terry Terry wanted Patrick Mahomes and Sean McDermott was like, No, we're not drafting a quarterback this year.
Like Sean McDermott gets the final say, the Buffalo Bills organization, like the man, has his hands everywhere.
Eso It was clear to me that Sean McDermott went to Brian table over the this bye week and said, Figure out how to run the **** ball and show me you could run the **** ball and make running the **** ball of priority.
And it almost seemed like maybe Brian Table was a little uncomfortable because we see Brian Table throwing the ball on first down a ton this year and they had 14 14.
This game like that's crazy.
That is a gargantuan shift, Uh, in the way that they're calling place.
We got We got Dan Brown coming in here with the super chat.
What guys? Wish I could catch the show, but I have to do have to man scape for date night.
Thank you for putting that image in our head. Dan Brown.

As for Arizona, they've been allowing about four K 4, 4200 people in for each game over the last couple of weeks for Cardinals games.
And the Cardinals just announced that's going away starting this week.
And the Cardinals are no longer having any fans in their stadium again.
However, I got a text this afternoon from our former Conrad J.
Spent sticking who lives right down the road from me and apparently because this man just knows everybody hey, might have a hook up to get us, um, game tickets So me and J spends might be going to the game.
I don't know eso I will let you guys know as soon as I know whether I am going to that game or not.
We got another comment here that I really want to get to from From From Jake, hang in Another reason why maybe the Buffalo Bills running the ball more.
And maybe the reason why the Buffalo Bills took, like, what, 23 shots down the field all game.
Holy ****! My God, my God, ****ing animal.
Like he is insane.
Like, absolutely insane.
And there's really there's only one thing.
There's only one thing that I can say about about Joey Bosa.
I pure straight hate you.
Oh, but god**** it.
Do I respect you? I mean, uh, on the Buffalo Bills pregame, I had you and I had Brian from the breaking tables pot on.
I played that video clip and I said, Who is the one player on that team that you have to respect and your answer was Mike Williams, and his answer was Justin Herbert and I looked at both of you and I said, not Joey Bosa.
Well, I was going under the radar.
E was sitting there e s so obvious you couldn't say the man is a freak Like I love Jerry Hughes.
I loved Aaron Schobel when he was here.
I love, like Mario Williams had his moments.
We haven't had anything like that since Bruce Smith.
Can you imagine if we could add a talent like this to our defensive line? I mean, no, no, no, No disrespect to Aaron Schobel, but he's I'm sorry.
I mean, Mario Williams is the closest thing we've had to that in recent memory.
But man, that guy is a monster, and he's he's so good, man.
It's like one of those situations where it just he had an amazing game.
He he might even still win defensive player of the week in the los, uh, and it just I mean, the team loss. It just sucks.
He's on a three and 18, because e mean it's like the JJ Watts of the of the Texans of kind of past years, where they've like, really haven't been a great team or they've been in the playoffs one and done.
But man, that guy is an absolute monster.
I would love to have a guy like that on our team.
Yeah, we got John DeFazio coming in with the Super chat.
We appreciate it, John, he says.
I agree with the perspectives about Sunday's play calling K Case in point.
Why, on third and one would we call a cube zone read from shotgun when Allen is 10 for 10? Sneaking under center.
I agree with you.
I agree 100% and you wanna know what? On third and one, why are we calling a quarterback zone read when we have Zach Moss on our roster? Ah, I just don't understand why you are putting Josh Allen at risk of taking the beating that he is taking.
You see it now with an M c L spring to go along with the A C joint spring that had already my on the season.
I'm not saying Don't run Josh Allen.
I'm not saying Don't run Josh Allen, but what I am saying is, why the hell do you got to do it so much? like you got Zach.
You can use them on 13 12 and he's more likely to get blown up doing a play like that of the shotgun.
The needs to just quarterback sneak in and just kind of dive into the pile like he dives into the pile headfirst.
He's probably gonna be fine and he's more likely to get it.
But if you stand him up and he's got a freeze for a second, I mean, if there's if there's no protection man, he's gonna get blown up And we saw Joey Bosa blow him up on that place, so I'm with you.
One more comment on the offense We got daily daily daily coming in says, Why do you think Wyoming was the only school to give Josh on a scholarship? Because he is known to be very streaky.
This was well known before the draft.
Everyone knew this and it's showing, after all, all three years.
Honestly, I think the reason why why Wyoming was the only school to get a scholarship was because he didn't he didn't grow to be what 6664 to 40 until he got to college like that size was not there when he was younger.
And, um, you know, that's what what colleges are looking for.
They're looking for that size, and they're looking for that speed.
He really grew into himself in college, so let's flip it over the defense now. A couple great comments.
Um, PJ, we're gonna get to your comment second, but ideologies, arrow, ology, arrow ology says How about that Ed Oliver forced fumble on Herbert? I know Ed Oliver took a couple of, uh, don't Do we agree with the boundary or disagree with that? Roughing the passer penalty? Um, he had that offsides or that neutral zone infraction, whatever you wanna call it.
But are we ready to give at Oliver a break yet? Because the dude is a three tech playing one Tech.
And when he's given opportunities to play three Tech, the man makes place like wait till star Lotulelei gets back.
Wait till we had a couple more defensive tackles to this rotation before we judge this guy, please, and and throughout the B word bust, because he's Yeah, he's not the reason for defensive struggles, right, at least recently.
And honestly, the defense really hasn't struggled, too much recently.
Yeah, he's playing out of position.
He's getting penetration when asked to, and if he's not making the play, he's getting penetration enough for someone else to make the play.
We saw that on several runs yesterday, and the guy like you watch a couple of plays that people kind of put on Twitter Day some of the ones where he blew up the backfield.
I mean, it's It's like he's playing at a different speed sometimes and other than the other players on the line, I mean, he's in the backfield 23 yards deep before everyone else is even getting off the line.
And it's just helping out everyone right in that case And I think you know we are, you know, we you know a lot of people probably are a little too hard on him.
He had a good game and he's had some good moments this year.
I think maybe the expectations were a little high, but it's also due to the fact that he's playing out of position as well, so I think that with star next to him, that makes the world of difference.
I have liked what I've seen from Vernon Butler next to him.
But it's just not the same, and those two are really more rotating with each other than anything.
So for me, I think it's unfair.
Yes, I do think it's unfair.
I think he had his moments yesterday.
I think we have to remember he's still only in the second year, right? Like I mean, the guys playing a position where stats aren't always easy to come by, especially he's playing out of position at a one technique.
He's probably not going to get hardly any stats, right? I mean, start a little A like we We realize now this year how much we appreciated him because he wasn't getting stats or whatever last year and now you see, like the same type of things happening at all over this year, So it's we need to be.
We need to be thinking about that.
When we kind of assess his play, we gotta we gotta super chat here from Philip gone.
We appreciate it, Philip, he says.
We need to hit more deep balls to digs.
I think that there you saw on the first drive, they threw a deep all the digs, and there was that pass interference.
I think Joey Bosa really put an end to the Buffalo Bills taking shots down the field quite early in the football game when he started to take over.
I think once Joey Bosa started getting in there and started making his presence felt, um, literally.
The Bills had a bold strategy of just not blocking him on a couple of occasions.
Asked Matt Barkley about that, uh, that the game plan really became that that dink and dunk game plan that I mentioned.
But PJ tie comes in before we get to PJ's comment while we're on the topic of the defensive line.
Cherry Hughes. Awesome.
Mario Addison showing some life and there is the one I want to talk about.
Vanessa, I think, has to me.
It appears he he has supplanted Trent Murphy and is finally making his presence felt on this defensive line.
I'm looking forward to watching him progress as he gets more reps and maybe losing that weight between college and the pros might actually paying off for him.
I need, uh, to redeem myself from that l from the fantasy projection of Oakland or Atlanta Vegas you need.
I need your help to clip the snippet.
Ice was talking about a J F Vanessa when we were talking to Mark because yeah, well, you asked me the question like, What does this mean with trend Murphy active.
And I said, Look, it's It's a Jap And that's the time, right? Like And guess what happened.
Leslie Frazier came out today and talked about how he's been playing well, and he's earned those reps and I forgot who it might have been.
Matt Perino again, who asked him, And I apologize if I'm saying the wrong person here like has he earned more playing time now going forward? And Leslie Frazier, you know, said yes, essentially, like he's going to be playing Mawr going forward.
It followed up with a question about it.
Trend Murphy and likely Fraser was like trend.
Murphy is gonna be ready when he's called upon, and he's still part of the future of this team, which could be just the future of this year, which we all expect.
But but manage a Peninsula looked good and he made a couple nice place to yesterday.
So him and Oliver both young players was very promising to see that train Emmons back Healthy Tremaine Edmunds is looking good for other people also out there.
What did I say after like the first couple of weeks, I said, Talk to me in the middle of next season.
If Tremaine Edmunds is still playing that bad talk to me next year like I literally didn't wanna I zoned it all out.
I wasn't listening to any of it, and he's turning it around.
Is he perfect? By all means, No, but he's still a very young player.
Hey, is starting to turn around.
Klein when you become the best player on our roster is P.
J man a man possessed.
I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what he I'm missing a bunch of super chats here.
I apologize because I had it freezed.
I had it frozen on Ah, comment there, and I'll get to the super chats in a moment.
He, um this is the This is this is one of the points I want to get to you.
He he had a very tough challenge in Austin Heckler yesterday, and if he wouldn't have stepped up to that challenge.
The Buffalo Bills would have lost this football game because Austin Meckler had a pretty solid game and that man was just looking to pop one.
And he was never able to pop one.
So kudos to you A. J. Klein for that.
In one play, there was only one play where Herbert ran out to the right and he threw it over A.
Klein's head and also overthrew Austin Heckler, which would have been a monster play.
But thankfully, Herbert overthrew it.
Otherwise, Man, the guy was, You know, tha comment I wanted to make because there was a couple of times last game and and even a couple of even when a J.
Klein was bad, he was always bad because he knew exactly where to be.
He just wasn't athletic enough to be there.
Um, so the guy intellectually is there physically, he just might not possess it as much.
And that's why I think John DeFazio, I'm looking forward, and Matt Milano returns.
That was me. My next comment.
So, John, you beat me to it, putting it back at that strong side linebacker spot and having him have less pressure on him and less responsibilities.
And, you know, maybe a J.
Klein can really turn around and live up to that contract.
So I'm looking forward to that.
Phillip coming in again with the I'm gonna say hot take on the way they've been playing some of these games.
I agree that they there at this caliber, but Phillip Phillips says Bills finished 3, 13 and three, and we did.
All this is our year s.
I can't imagine that was my preseason prediction feels and packers eso Let's get to the secondary.
Now let's talk a little bit about the secondary.
Ah, stat here from Marcel.
Jacques, I wanna pull up.
And I lost it in my camera roll Here I take e.
Got it? Yeah, I'm just gonna just finish off the client stats from yesterday as we got to the secondary.
14 total tackles, 10 solo tackles, 1.
5 tackles for loss.
Ah, past the fence and two quarterback hits.
5 tackles for loss.
Man, that e mean Bosa like, we'll have something to say about that either way.
But like that play he made on the third down when the charges were driving near the gold line where he tackled.
I think it was Kelly on that play for a loss near the sideline that was one of the plate like best plays of the game held him toe, you know, held him to a field goal there.
Um, man, yeah, you can tell he's been manscaping lately that he's like confidence.
He's more aerodynamic.
He doesn't have that extra, you know, that Extra fully is weighing him down down there.
So So you know, he's been, you know, look, he's had a nice stretch.
Like I actually think this was a better game for him than than the Seattle game.
I'll say that I really dio.
And if you think about two of his last three games and even in the Arizona game, he wasn't bad, Um, he's really given the bills.
Now you know something in these last few weeks to now when Milano comes back, man e.
I mean, the sky's the limit over the Stevens and another Leslie Frazier comment from today was he opened the press conference by saying, This is more of what we were expecting with, like, a little smirk, Uh, kind of hinting at the fact that, like, Hey, this is like this defense maybe rounding in the former at just the right time.
We We've got a comment here from Maestro Shine.
My, my, my can't Maestro, Maestro, Thank you. I was struggling.
I hope the Steelers are still undefeated by the time we play them.
Pierre actually posted a video on social media today talking about expectations as a Bills fan.
And why am I struggling with his word today? Maestro, here's where I disagree with you.
If the Ravens could knock off the Steelers, if the whole sort of covert situation Washington football team can roll in there getting upset, the Buffalo Bills can compete for the one seed if they're playing up to the level that we know that they can play, so think bigger.
I understand that it's fun when they're undefeated and you they come into your house on prime time and you beat them and you pump your chest and you beat your chest is like, Hey, we beat the best.
But if one of these teams could knock them off and they could lose a few games.
The A F C title, like the regular season title, is within reach.
It's a long shot, but it's possible.
So, um, I would argue that maybe we should think a little bit bigger.
I understand where you're coming from, because that would be a great feeling.
But maybe we should think just a little bit bigger.
I had it, I had it up and I lost again.
But it Z, I'll quickly pull it up here.
Uh, it was a tweet from Marcel Louise.
Jacket was like the only one I didn't have a chance to clip.
He says The Bills defense ranks 31st in yards allowed per game since Week nine.
So why does it feel like they are returning to 2000 and 19 for Zach Von of Buffalo fanatics, one of our amazing writers? Check out the BF writer's room every week.
Pregame at 9 a.m.
He says, literally bend, don't break defense, literally bend, don't break defense and that is what this defense is doing.
And honestly, that's what the defense is built to dio eso it is.
It is super exciting to see this defense really turn it around and hopefully you know Phil Gagne coming in.
Bills versus chief safety Championship game.
Packers versus Rams, NFC Championship.
I don't know about the Rams.
They foreigners came in and took him to town a little bit.
There did not look too good yesterday, man, that was That was a bit of an upset there, especially with with our boy Nick Mullins.
They're playing quarterback for the Niners, but yeah, and we talk about big players making big plays in big games.
Trey White, big pick, Big pick.
Um, we're going to save.
We're going to save the Fail Mary, Part two.
We're going to save that for the end of the show because I know you want to use it.
So trust me, folks, we're not forgetting about it.
We're just saving it.
But I want to move on to some big picture stuff while we talk about this big picture stuff.
If you are interested in joining the Bills, guys live and and getting your take out getting your question out on the show.
Hit up text bills.
Guys live to 7162190086 Bobby will hook you up and he will get you on the show.
So again it's on the bottom.
Ticker text bills.
Guys live to 7162190086 You can join us right here on the main page.
You don't need to show your face if you don't want Thio, you could do what I want to do every week and just, you know, be a little avatar with the little mop, the little voice thing going so you can join us after we're done talking this big picture stuff and I wanna I want to read one last tweet here, um, from Nate Gary at w g.
Because this tweet really resonated with me.
Hey says And he was responding to someone.
He says they're elite when they play at their ceiling.
Speaking of the Buffalo Bills, the difference right now between the Bills and Chiefs is less about their rosters.
And Maura, about the chief's ability to consistently play to their sealing the bills fluctuate a lot.
If they play to their ceiling, they can be anybody.
I think that's a great comment.
I think that is, I think that is the that is the the tape to me because you know, Philip, gone comes in and says Hot, Take Josh.
Don't throw six touchdowns Monday.
Guess what? If the Buffalo Bills play to their ceiling, Joshua could throw six touchdowns.
You saw Patrick Mahomes now what 600 yards in the first quarter against him by Buccaneers.
They're able to consistently play to the caliber of their quarterback and their roster.
The Buffalo Bills.
You got it for the first four games.
You got it against Seattle.
But then you see the New England game and the Jets game and this game, and we go back to sales comment.
Their floor is so much higher that even when they're not playing their best, they're still.
It's still good enough to win, which is awesome.
But if we wanna win that Super Bowl, if we want to take it to that next level, when the A f c.
We got, um, or consistently play to our ceiling like a team like the Kansas City Chiefs does do because we're Justus, good as them on paper, like we really are, I mean, no offense.
I don't think anyone's gonna take a fence to this.
Patrick Mahomes is better than Josh Allen, but Josh Allen can play Patrick Mahomes level if one.
If it comes down to it, all it takes is one.
Yeah, I'll take this one game NFC championship game.
Josh Allen goes on the heater.
You know, Plays plays to Patrick Mahomes level.
Oh, we're in the Super Bowl like it's it's that simple.
So that was just a spot on comment from Nick Year that I thought when a little under the radar.
So I want to give a little more shine tonight because that's what we do.
Are you The little people need attention too.
I know those guys that gr don't get enough.
So we wanted to make sure that they got there their attention.
Big picture stuff.
We're gonna We're gonna talk about it for a couple more seconds.
But if you are interested, text bills.
Guys, live to 7162190086 and we will let you join the show.
We got a question here from Philip.
What happens in the national media if we beat the Steelers? I don't know Colin Coward thinks Josh sounds good again. Probably.
Yeah, all those say something about how the Steelers didn't have, like James Connor or somebody was on the Cove.
When we play them or something weird like that, they'll make some kind of excuse up last year.
Obviously, you know, the Steelers game last year was was our game right? That clinched the playoffs for us.
And but it wasn't big Ben, right? So you beat him this year with Big Ben.
They're 10 to know at at the moment, um, could be undefeated by the time we play them.
Still, that's a massive game.
Um, man, they would have to give us some credit.
I would think that some credit, even if it's a backhanded compliment like we usually get.
Yeah, I mean, even though he's not what he used to be.
Ben Roethlisberger, still a pretty good quarterback who is a veteran quarterback who in big games is going to show up and show out.
So if Josh Young could come in and go toe to toe with a veteran Ben Roethlisberger, who's been there and done that, that'll be really encouraging.
Especially, especially, Bobby says we got a caller on line one, but there's nobody in our waiting room.
Bobby, you got to give him a link. Given the link.
Uh, it'll be really It'll be really exciting to see Josh Allen go toe to toe with Ben Roethlisberger.
The national media game.
Uh, you could tell.
Here's why Colin Coward doesn't landscape.
It's because he doesn't even grow any hair on his balls to begin with.
So, Colin, Colin doesn't have to worry.
Colin doesn't have to worry about it.
You see that weak ass beard he grew over over Cove, and he's like, Hey, guys looking my beard.
No, Well, because Lone Wolf saying You all worry too much about the with the media way do way are from Buffalo. That is you.
Yeah, the chip on the shoulder.
Everybody's against us.
Buff lowers everybody as you.
Colin doesn't need man scape products he needs.
Like, uh, is there some kind of like polish for your skin? Like it makes it a little shiny.
Er, little way go.
We do have our first call in now, and it's going to be from Ryan Horton.
We will bring him up in a moment.
We just change our background here, so everything looks all party.
Ryan? Ryan Ryan, is it Horan? Yeah.
Welcome to the show, my man.
And where is not too bad, man.
You gotta take You got a question? What do you want? What you got? What you got for us tonight? Mhm.
Yeah, I honestly I think people are a little bit overreacting on yesterday.
My think we know Brahman back, and I think our offense is honestly fine.
We all know that we're averaging, like, 12 more points than we did last year.
And the fact that our Devens played great.
I will say great, allowing 17 points to a top five offense.
I personally think that that's something to be probably and for no.
McDermott is now after by I think we need right where we need to be for the playoffs.
No, I mean, I'm with you, too, Because a couple of the comments that were made postgame Justin Herbert has worst game is a pro.
The Buffalo Bills defense did that to him and Keenan Allen went from having 16 catches last week having four catches, 40 yards So despite that that two point conversion, which was just a beautiful play, the Buffalo Bills had an excellent game plan for four.
Keenan Allen P J Tie comes in and he says, Dude still got the jersey on mad props.
Any shout outs you wanna get for we had off or any go bills? Uh oh.
Bills and thank you guys always coming on. Thank you.
And then we appreciate it.
Thank you so much.
If anyone wants to join us, that number is on the bottom ticker.
And that number is that ticker scrolls way too slow.
It's always never where it needs to be when I need it, They're They're Ugo.
Those guys live to 71 61 90086 I mean, really makes a good comment.
I mean, the charges with a number four offense in the NFL coming into this game.
So, you know, you talk about like the slowing down Russell Wilson.
I mean, Justin Herberts been on fire.
I mean, the difference in the reason why we don't think about it in the same light is because he's a rookie and because the charges aren't winning games, right? But the offensive personnel is still incredible on that team.
And they got Austin Heckler back yesterday.
So they're number four offense with playing a lot of the season without ECHL.
Er, they get him back.
They obviously, you know, Coach, speak.
We're gonna limit his care, limit his reps going in the game, and he was the best player on the field for them.
So, um, it is a good point by Ryan Holding in the 17.
And you know, there there is something to be said about that.
I will say, Yeah, I've seen a couple of people now, at this point mentioning Creed in the comment section.
And, you know, I've been I've been I've been working.
I've been I've been trying hard.
We have another way.
Have another caller on the line in the second.
But listen, it's always nice when the Buffalo Bills play a game where Josh Allen doesn't have Thio e take the pressure of the young man.
It's always great.
It is always great when we can play.
It's always great.
We could play a game where we don't have to win, Phillips says.
Are we getting a Bills, guys? Next Monday, next Monday.
The Bills are playing on Monday night football.
Right, So we're gonna kick.
We're gonna kick off our coverage at five.
Who will be kicking off the coverage? I don't know, But you will have David myself from seven.
To eight, at least.
So you'll get about three hours of pregame coverage from Buffalo.
Fanatics on you will get, at least in our of coverage from David myself.
So we'll get that schedule out to you when we get to the bottom of it.
But I do know we will be there, Um, from seven to, uh, 78 Alright.
Got a couple of chatters on the line.
Let me scroll through.
Make it look pretty real quick on we got J DeFazio on the line.
Jay, how we doing today? Good fellows.
How are you? Not too bad, man.
Living the dream you gotta take for us.
You got a question? I've got to take in a question if I could.
All right, go for it.
Um, I take is, you know, I'm hoping so one quick thing after looking through the last, uh, few games One thing I'd like to see us returned to which I haven't seen us use in a while is returned to tempo.
I think just does a great job when we use tempo.
We've done it in the earlier part of the season.
I felt like you got away from it for some reason.
Not sure why it seemed to be successful Helps Josh King and rhythm.
So I'd like to see a return to tempo as we move forward.
And then my question to you guys is now, um I understand when we go into a prevent defense and when we're starting, we know that they're gonna go with the hell. Mary.
I'm just curious as to why we keep, like, four guys at, like, 30 yards deep.
I mean, can we keep maybe two guys there and put another two guys back? Or use those other two guys to rush the passer? Because it seems like what has happened in the past is we get to the quarterback and then one guy is shrugged off or get struck by the quarterback, which allows him to get a couple of shirts up, stops to throw more accurate deep ball. So I'm just wondering.
Do we need to have, like, four guys at, like, 30 yards deep? I think they do that.
Uh, I think they do that for one main reason.
They wanna have, like, two, possibly three guys going up for the ball.
And they wanna have the one guy safety net behind in case that guy does come down with the catch.
And you saw that kind of happen on the play? Uh, this game where Porter and White and they went up and Wallace went up.
Um, the guy made the catch.
What? Edmonds was right there behind to make the tackle.
So I think they like to have four guys for that reason.
So they could have 2 to 3 guys going up for the ball and then have that one just like emergency guy back there.
But I'm with you there.
I think, like they could probably deal with one fewer guy.
Maybe at the 15, you know, 15 yards deep, because they had, like, a row of, like, three guys, three or four guys playing about 15 yards.
GPAs well, to kind of come up in rally if they were to throw it short.
So I'm kind of with you there, But they've also had, you know, you can't really fault because they've had to really good shots at getting the quarterback in both situations, and they just weren't able to bring them down.
They had, like, they were on them.
They made contact with the quarterback and they just couldn't get him down.
But I think that's the reason they keep all those guys back.
Yeah, and and J to your first point about tempo to I'm totally with you, I think.
The reason why and again I mentioned earlier on the show.
I think Sean McDermott might have more of, ah, hand in the offensive philosophy than maybe, you know, some people might think, because his defensive coach, I really think that Sean McDermott went to Brian Table when this defense was struggling and said, Slow it down.
So our defense is on the field less so maybe now that our defense seems to be picking up some steam, picking up some confidence.
Maybe we will see a return to that tempo for the Buffalo Bills, Uh, in in in the coming weeks, with the defense stepping up their game.
any shout outs before you want to head out? Yeah, I just wanna give a shout out to my girl, Adrian.
She's one of the biggest bill's supporters out there.
And fellas, I wanna give a shout out to all you guys that builds Phoenix. Love your shows.
You are really keep us going through the week when we're waiting for the for the next game.
So I appreciate you guys a lot.
Thank you so much.
Thank you. Thank you.
Thanks. Appreciate it.
I will save all of you the pain of hearing me do an Adrian from Rocky impression.
Uh, all right, we got B f l o Mafia news.
One of our regulars on now.
How you doing tonight? Good.
How are you living the dream, my man? Do you have ah, question or a take for us tonight? Question.
I was wondering if you guys think that a J f A.
NASA will more take like Trent Murphy's role now and keep getting the reps that he got yesterday and possibly have his raps increased throughout the rest of the season.
You know, we touched down a little bit earlier.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how this guy is going to progress as the season goes along, because if he can, he can continue to play out the rest of the season because remember like you hit the rookie wall right? Like toward the end of the season, you hit the Ricky Wall at Oliver, seeing the little um, not to understand that last year cause he played his best ball towards it in your last year.
But ah, lot of players hit that rookie wall.
But since a gym Vanessa like, didn't play the first half of the season, by the time he hits the rookie wall like our season will already be over, hopefully so if he can progress as the season progresses, he'd get more reps.
He can show the coaching staff and the personnel that he's a pretty solid football player.
Our focus in the off season could be on defensive tackle as opposed to uh maybe trying to add another edge because we got Daryl Johnson, we got Brian Cox, we got Mike Love.
We got some younger guys on the practice squad towards the bottom half of the depth chart that can rotate and is D D four and Mario Addison and Jerry.
He was a pretty locked in with their contracts.
You can get out, Jerry.
He was a contract.
But why would you if you think that you are competing for Super Bowls in the next two years underneath Josh Allen? Rookie deal? Why would you cut effective pass rushers like those two guys? So, uh, yeah, I'm with you.
Vanessa, the better.
What do you think? They definitely.
And I mean, he made his presence felt in the game yesterday.
And Leslie Frazier even went as far as to say as much, right that he would be getting more playing time today, Uh, in his press conference.
And, you know, Matt asked him, you know, Has he earned it? And will we see more of him and Leslie Frazier? Point Blank said Yes, he will.
He's earned it. He's been playing better.
And, like Steve said, he hasn't He shouldn't be going through working because he hasn't been playing a ton.
So he should be just kind of ramping up now and kind of getting into his group.
He had the bye week, so I love to see more a.
J. Vanessa, He's the future.
Uh, Trent Murphy will still be involved.
Um, you know, probably be useful in the playoffs, whatever.
But, um ep Inessa is a is your future.
Now you invest in the second round picking him you pretty much came out and said to him that we don't know why you felt so far.
So you kind of made the comment already that, you know, he was he's gonna be a cornerstone type of guy for you.
Or at least, you know, somewhat of a cornerstone type of guy for you.
So yeah, we should see more of him down the stretch.
Any any shout outs before we head out here? B f L o uh, Tyler bass Way.
Actually, Miss special teams and I wanna go back to special teams when we're done with the calls.
Because I have a question for you, Dave, that I want you to ponder.
B f l o Mafia news.
We appreciate it.
We got a super chat here from Ryan Teel.
He says, Hey, guys, missing the show tonight.
Ryan, your regular We appreciate Hopefully.
Hopefully you can catch up on the replay.
Eso you couldn't make it tonight And another comment here from Richard Rush, he says.
Just wanted to say, Give a big thanks because I'm wearing my Air Raid Alan shirt on victory Monday. It's awesome.
I hope that was the one that you want.
Is that the one that you won? Richard.
I know there was an issue with shipping.
We finally got the shirt out to you.
So hopefully that's the one You one if not the one that you did win a couple of weeks ago, it's It's on its way.
I'm not sure we had a we had a little bit of, uh I'm shipping issues, but we got one more caller on the line.
As always, another regular of this show.
Another regular caller We got Jeff Green.
Jeff, Is that Is that a Oh, you're just gonna rub Rub it in onto Tyrod That z man, that's harsh.
Yeah, there was a point.
There was a point in that game where Herbert took a sack and it looked like he was slow to get up.
And I'm like, Are we gonna see Tyrod like on? That was when we were still down.
Seven. I'm like, Oh, no.
Uh, but I'm sorry, Jeff.
You got a question or comment? But I got a question.
Can just defense in line become like the Los Angeles Rams of the sixties with Deacon Jones and Greg Go, um, Marlon Morrison and all those guys.
Can our defense be like that defense? If you want to answer this while I respond to Randy real quick cause you asking a question the comment section, Um, that's a tall order, right? I mean, I think that the problem I think we have with that is that Deacon Jones, right, is superstar defensive end, right? So the problem I think we have is we don't really have necessarily that superstar guy on the defensive line.
I think this is more of like a collective unit.
I would I would actually like, um or tow like the purple people eaters type of a group, a group that's more known a za collective unit than they offer.
Like one individual player, I would say not that that Rams defensive line was on Lee, known for Deacon Jones, but he's the guy that always kind of stands out So this is more of a rotational unit, more of, ah, unit that we said at the beginning of the season that had the depth to be like, just, ah, wave after wave kind of group that would, um, just harassed the offensive line.
But by the time it came late in the game, and I think that's what we can be still right, I think with Vanessa coming on with Hughes playing well, with Oliver getting Yeah, I mean him to an extent blitzing.
But the defensive line specifically, they can be a good wave after wave rotational group that we kind of projected them to be the beginning season, especially now, as they seem to be getting rounding into form.
They mentioned it many times on the broadcast.
How the Bills had, um, you know, uh, I think they said what they had.
Was it 16 sacks or something in their last four games? I can't remember.
I think that's what they kept saying.
It seems like a lot now that I'm so no, I guess it's only four game.
They said they had 16 Thaksin their last four games, so that pressure starting to get there a little bit.
And it's gonna have to when you start going a bit against some of these better teams when you get in the playoffs.
So that's what I would say about the line.
All right, Jeff, any shout outs before we head out here? And my last question, um, we're going to do with Brian Winters.
Yeah, your guess is as good as mine man way are.
Yeah, I think everyone here wants that man gone when you have to start Lee Smith to fix your run game.
So that I was like, Oh, yeah, yeah When you when you got to start Lee Smith to help your run game, you gotta you gotta You gotta fix them stuff.
So, Ryan Teel coming in 100 30 people smash those likes we'd appreciate if you smash those likes.
Always helps us in the YouTube algorithms, gets us nice and bumped up Eso Thank you so much to Ryan.
And thank you so much, Jeff.
You any shout outs you wanna get before you head out here? Uh, go Bills.
So, uh, I was reminded Now special teams.
Couple people mentioned Tyler Bass.
So my question to you is this.
And somebody pose this question and quit somebody close.
This question posed this question on Twitter, and I didn't I didn't I didn't I didn't write down the name, so I apologize.
I'm totally snagging your question here, but somebody tweeted are the bill special teams elite.
Is it elite unit here? It's an elite unit.
It absolutely it's an elite unit.
I know that pains you to say, because Cory Bohorquez is part of that.
He had his holding issues early in the season.
He seems to have worked those out.
He's blasting the ball other than his 1 12 yard shank, you know, I mean, he's still not very good at pinning people inside the 20.
But then again, if you're punting from your own 20 and you blasted through the end zone, I'm not totally upset about that, either.
I'm calling him Striped from now on, a za reference to bass and for the fact that he's just striping it down the middle.
So his new nickname for me is Striped uh, and Andre Roberts.
Man Guy just puts us in good field position. All game.
Um, shockingly, Uh, there were very few penalties called on returns yesterday, which is kind of ah, little bit of a shock, considering some of the flags that were thrown in that game, but and the coverage team, man.
I mean, obviously, we had the the offside or the illegal formation the very first play of the game.
Then bass puts it through the end zone.
No problem, but coverage wise, you know? Think about that play where Josh Allen got the unsportsmanlike ambassadors back, kicks it down, and they only got to like the 30 yard line on that.
So yeah, this team, this this unit, I'll dare I will dare say they are.
They are elite right now.
I'll tell you what, Andre Andre Roberts is getting frustrated when he gets tackled because he knows he is this close to breaking one.
And I will tell you one of these weeks he's going to slip that tackle and he's going to start running towards the end zone.
And as he's running towards the end zone, this is the monologue that's gonna be going to my head.
Okay, it's happening everybody CEO.
What's the procedure? God when you calm down? No e just have visions of d K Metcalf somehow chasing chasing him down.
He's not even playing.
It's like we're again.
We're against, like some other team in D k e like the guy in the Creed video just shoots down on top.
E got a towel and just tackles Andre Roberts on the goal line.
But alright, this shows officially off the rails, but yeah, our special teams unit man.
Kudos uh, to them, they're an elite unit.
And I did have that one tweet that of Cordoba Hurricanes that I wanted to share.
This one goes out toe at bills, higher bills, E I R E.
And he says boho has two settings, 300 yard punt or 12 yard punt.
There's nothing in between.
So I really appreciate it.
That tweet from him.
So we're pushing an hour plus now.
So what we're gonna do is we're gonna bring back a segment that we used to do on our podcast.
We're gonna bring back a segment that we used to do on our podcast.
And this segment is known as the Chaperone e of the week So every week, David, I get to pick some job bronies of the week.
Some people who maybe had acted a fool or done something hilarious.
And we're going to comment on those Gibran ease of the week.
So here it is, Georgia bronies of the week in the comments section and tell us your brownies a week in the comment section two.
So here it is, our first official re issuing of the jib.
Rania, you keep using this word pepperoni, and it's awesome.
Alright, so Jobrani of the week.
I need to get this off my chest.
I need to start today, My Jobrani of the week.
Okay, We could talk about the Fail Mary.
We could talk about the referees.
We could talk about the referees.
We could talk about Anthony Lynn, but there's only one man I want to talk about right now.
And that is Adam.
So So Adam Gates.
There's this video going around.
I think it was rich Cimini.
One of the Jets guys asked Adam Geza questions like Who is calling plays on on Sunday for the New York Jets? Because apparently last four games dwell Loggins the office coordinator had been taken over the play, calling to be dramatic base.
This was Adam gazes response to the New York media when asked who is calling place.
I didn't take over.
We did this. We've done the same thing the last four games.
We were watching Dowel through the whole game.
He wasn't doing anything.
He was just standing there.
He tells me it's not hard.
This is not hard.
We go through it.
But the drive before these air, the three plays I do the third downs.
So what happens after the three plays when you have a seat? Because we were watching one where Dow was talking to Frank Pollock.
He wasn't calling the plays you were, what part of the game was it? I want to say that I was the third quarter.
Yeah, when we got down, then I was trying to do some of the two minutes stuff.
So he starts the interview by saying It's not hard double doubles calling the plays and it turns into, Um no, never mind.
I call the placed on third down and I call the plays during the two minute drives.
First of all, what team switches up offensive coordinators and play callers throughout throughout the game. No understand.
Donald sucks. Like whole. She's going.
He's probably see if Donald probably got, like, eight guys calling in plays.
And he's like, What do I run? Dry run? What gazes go under? Do I run with the weather is calling.
And then halfway through, he's like It's not hard, It's not hard.
Apparently, it is Adam case because you have one of the worst offenses in the history of the National Football League.
So apparently it's pretty hard for you to call some **** place because ain't nothing working for you.
Holy ****, Bernie.
Gays, That's the funniest part to me is when he says it's not hard, because then I'm like, Well, your team's Owen 11.
So I love that selection.
It's gonna be tough to beat that.
So I'm going to go to ah, selection a double dip selection from the Bills game.
My double dip selection is three officiating, Um, which I'm not going to spend too much time on because it's there's bad officiating across the league, so it's not.
It's not limited, just to the Bills.
Or but those? Not not not any of the roughing the passers, three offsides or anything like Josh on spin.
I'm fine with Zach Mosses penalty.
He really set the football down.
It just happened to be in the city of another player and gave Davis literally stood up and the player walked into him and felt out like What the hell? Well, in the Zach Moss one, I think the referee was Zach Moss was facing one way the referee was facing the other way.
The referee saw the ball come across this field of vision and assumed that Zack Moss was throwing it at the other player when he didn't even see what actually happened.
I mean, it's been bad in several spots, but man, the Josh Allen one, like you said like he was in front of the guy.
But then then you see these other games where, um, you know, guys air running into the end zone, waving to the opponent as they run into the end zone, Or Tyree kill back, flipping into the end zone.
And that type of stuff isn't taunting but but Josh Allen spending the ball.
Yeah, I mean, guys, spend the ball of the time weird.
And then my second de Bruyne of the week on it za painful one.
Thankfully, didn't matter.
This game is the bills.
Hail Mary. Defense.
E mean, this is bad, like one times a fluke.
Two times is starting to become a little bit of a trend.
And and you just got to knock it down.
I was like, Everyone said it on Twitter.
Everyone's like, Just knock it down, knock it down.
Did you see the comment from Mrs Jordan Boyer herself? Rachel Bush.
Incentives are on the line, man.
She she she literally tweeted like you guys are so simple minded.
Uh, picks get you picks get you incentives, picks get you pro bowls.
Why would any player ever tried to bat it down? And that tweet was deleted real quick.
Your employer, you ain't that phone out of her hand and told you got knocked that ball down.
But yeah, two weeks in a row with the Fail Mary.
Hopefully, that wasn't Jordan Player's mindset.
And that was just, uh, Mrs Player Rachel Bush trying thio maybe, uh, defender her husband a little bit and She just had the wrong intentions the way she went about doing it.
But that was a little amusing.
All right, one last.
What's your confidence level, though, when the Bills get into, like a third and longer fourth zero situation, my confidence level is not very high.
Even if it's not a playoff game, even it's not a hell.
Yeah, Texans playoff game.
Uh, there's like so like, go ahead.
I'm going to get in.
And then, like the guy, I don't even know if that guy was pass interference.
Like, I don't even know if that was e would have been that would have been brutal.
That would have that would have been more heartbreaking than the other one.
It's a we figured out what that would have been challenged or reviewed then because he didn't really capable.
Here's the recipe to our Hail Mary problem.
Always have a two score lead.
There's always everything squarely, Aziz, Long as you have for lead.
It's kind of like Cory Bohorquez.
Do you wanna be good? I only have a pump once again.
Yeah, always have to score lead or having from having from your your own 20.
You're on your own 30.
Sophie blasted through the inside. It doesn't matter.
But speaking of Jim, Brody's is the last one, I swear.
But Anthony Lynn, here's all I got to say to Anthony Leo, You're kicking him while he's down. That's harsh.
Is my favorite picture every by the way of John Murphy there.
I'm just gonna play that again.
I know people who are gonna be listening to this tomorrow are only gonna hear the audio clip.
But I need you to all appreciate this picture of John Murphy.
It's one of my favorite means.
I hate John Murphy with every fiber of my being.
He is the absolute worst.
But I love that mean s Oh, yeah, I can say that I used to valet at manages, and that man did not tip So, uh, anyway, a little salty about that.
Uh, anyways, you hold a little bit of a grudge.
Sammy Watkins was tipping 20.
So it's almost nothing but respect for Sami.
But that that that picture you you all you gotta do is type in John Murphy, Buffalo Bills, uh, into the old Google machine, and you will find that image.
It is one of my favorite memorable images of all time.
Anthony Lynn, first of all, the clock management in the first half, called the Time Out when he shouldn't have, and they knew that time out.
Later in the second half, he called the time out when they didn't need it, and they needed that time out.
Later, they throw the Hail Mary.
Then they go down there and instead of, uh, instead of spiking it, they run the ball, which milks down the clock to make it to the point where they, you know they score. It doesn't matter.
Then Justin Herbert tries to sneak, but the offensive line was passed blocking.
And there was another point where Anthony Lynn ran out the kicking unit and then changed his mind and decided to throw out like it was an absolute debacle.
Like I like Anthony Linda's human being, you're not gonna find a better character like like moral character person, the entire planet.
Um, like the dude is just really a Hall of Fame human being.
But in terms of a head coach, it's the Hall of shame.
He is one of the worst game management coaches coaches in the game Coming from that Rex Ryan tree.
Um, you know, people who want to blame the injuries for the San Diego Chargers, underperforming the last three years, Anthony Lynn has just as much to do with it.
Is the injuries all the close games they play in and all the close games they lose? I mean, the only time the man could close the game is when they're playing the New York Jets.
Eso the guys got to go.
If it was any other market, if it was Buffalo, it was Cleveland.
If it was any relevant market, the fans would have had that coach fired.
By now, they would have.
But but Dean Spanos being out there in L.
A like no one gives a crap who the coach is because no one gives a crap about that team.
There's, like 15 fans so that that's why he's been getting away with it for so long.
But in a real market like imagine living in L.
Is there a radio station you can turn on and your charges talk like I don't even know? Is there even any where to go complain about Anthony Lynn.
Like when you want event about Anthony? Linda's a Chargers fan.
Is there anywhere to go toe? Voice your frustration? I got it.
I don't even think there is.
Um So, uh so Bobby says, Did you tip when getting take out food in the covert environment, I haven't and feel like I get the death side of eso Is this when you go pick it up yourself or when you get delivered to you when it gets delivered? When it gets delivered to me, I tip when I go there to do, like the curbside pickup, I do not thio correct.
I'm with you there.
I do not tip if I'm picking up my own food and I'm already paying now my ass for the food.
But if it's delivered, I will tip, of course.
And if I'm sitting down in the restaurant, of course I'll tip.
But if I'm going to pick up my own food unless it's like $59 and I just wanna make it an even 60 and I put like, $1 and you you gotta think about this way to think about ordering a pizza.
If you order a pizza, it gets delivered, you tip? Yeah.
If you order a pizza and you pick it up from the pizzeria, you don't tip, right? Yeah, it's the same thing.
Right? Um, I wrong here. Like it's the same thing.
Like the same thing.
We're going back in time.
So when pizza was the only thing you could get delivered to your house.
Now you get literally anything.
Got a nice door dash.
Literally Anything? Yes.
So, ladies and gentlemen, that is this is an hour 15, But honestly, it has flown by.
This was a fun show.
I really enjoyed it scoreless in the Monday night game.
So you didn't miss anything.
I was having so much fun that I forgot there was my night game.
The Eagles are playing. There isn't a game going on.
How about that was four and seven.
Giants have the same Sita's us right now in the NFC.
Manthey NFC is so pathetic.
PJ says what team you want to play in the playoffs.
I like that question.
I don't think I want to play Cleveland e.
I don't think I don't like Cleveland.
That's where that's who.
Uh, that's who we are right now.
If the season that we're playing Cleveland, I mean, Rico, Rico made the obviously the Bills media staff football team.
Um, he had me as a kick returner.
I told him I was CB one.
He didn't even give me the respect of putting me in this slot.
Nickel corner man, you are the nickel corner.
I I was not given that, but I guess if I'm I guess kick returner is not that bad.
I told him I was fast.
He didn't like me.
You know, maybe I could be like a like a kick returner.
Corner like corners often return kicks.
They're often the kick returner is on the teens.
Eso Maybe I could be both.
Maybe I could be like the first guy off the bench playing corner.
So I don't hate it because I was a kick returner when I did play.
But I was also a corner, so I would like to get in that starting defense.
Rico, please. Thank you.
And he made me the kicker, which I feel like he did on purpose, just to trigger the **** out of me like the only thing worse.
The only thing worse than that would have been punter.
Oh, but I don't think what, Rico.
And I don't think what Rico and Pierre really understand is I hide it.
Well, um, but since I moved out to Phoenix, I think I put on, like, literally, When I moved out to the desert, I was £180.
I think I'm pushing like to 15 to 20 right now.
I've packed on, like, £40 since I moved out to the desert desert.
So I'd be like Sebastian Janikowski out there.
Or I'd be like, Who is that fat kicker in Cincinnati? Randy Bullock.
I just be that e fat Randy s.
So I don't know.
I believe the guy in the replacement with Sig hanging out my mouth.
But instead of sick and be like, I'd be like a hero or a pizza log just hanging out my mouth as I'm kicking a field goal A chicken wing.
Just have happy to my mouth as I am.
I'm not the Waterboy either.
So first of all, you know who I am.
You know who I would be with the amount of energy I have I am.
Without a doubt.
I am without a doubt the whole back guy, the guy who holds back to coach for running on the field.
McVeigh has this personal hold back guy.
Yeah, well, that guy's in prison now that I actually went to jail or something like that.
Like he was arrested.
He's not there anymore.
But I would totally be Ah, hold that guy.
Or I'd be the assistant strength coach.
Like the strength coach has to be jacked.
But the assistant strength coaches always some, like, fluffy guy.
Really? Like he shows other people how to do fitness.
I mean, that guy who like before they yeah, like high people up like I'd be over the over the bench when they're lifting, like at the combine.
Just hyping him up like insulting the players to their face.
You get one more get you think you think Korbel work has is Jack.
Now, if you think Corrie Bohorquez is Jack now imagine Corey Bohorquez.
If when he was lifting weights, I was sitting there taunting his ass.
That man would be ****ing Schwarzenegger.
Oh, Schwarzenegger, it is prime.
We got some intrigue now on this Monday night game.
Oh, no Quarter about.
I need Jalen Rigor in Dallas.
Got her to go off.
So whatever quarterback place best, that's fine with me.
But they Philadelphia cannot get out of that Carson Wentz deal.
They can't can't get out of it. They're stuck.
It's like 40 $50 million until still not as bad of a situation as the Bears.
Aaron with their quarterback situation.
If the money they're spending on Nick Foles anyway, eso maybe Rico reassess and put me in, uh, put me in the nickel.
Maybe as a backup, but I'll take Kick returner for now.
I guess I gotta earn my stripes to make the starting lineup.
All right, ladies and gentlemen, that was fun.
I enjoyed myself, But then again, I enjoyed myself all the time.
Why? Because I'm an escape.
That is why I head over to man scape dot com Having a landscape dot com from a code fanatics will get you 20% off.

I think I put on I put on some No, I'm not gonna get into this with you guys on there, but, you know, Yeah, you're right.
You know what I put on? You know what I put on E? I would just blast that creed, baby.
All right, ladies and gents, until next time go bills, go bills.
