welcome to SportsCastr News Monday Morning Edition, going over the San Francisco's defeating the Los Angeles Rams, 23 to 20 and yesterday's match up in a game that was sloppy to say at best, neither team getting more than 350 yards of offense.
Defensively, they were forcing turnovers left and right, and many of them were forced.
Both teams had multiple turnovers.
San Francisco had one interception and two fumbles lost, and the Rams had two interceptions thrown and two fumbles lost three of these turnovers on Jared Golf, one of which was a fumble where he took off and ran with the football and lost the ball on the tackle.
Now, in this game, both quarterbacks were also sacked twice.
There was seven punts in this game and eight total penalties.
Now the thing is, San Francisco was actually able to move the football when they got the ball without turning it over.
Whereas the Rams had issues doing that, Deebo Samuel had a big part in being able to move the football, catching the football 11 times, a couple of them on jet sweeps, where it was just short little pitch house where he took off with it, but it still counts in the past 11 receptions, 133 yards.
That was an impressive day by Deebo.
Samuel, um, they ran the ball efficiently between Jeff Wilson and Rahim Mozart.
They ran the ball 28 times 4 86 yards and a touchdown.
Doesn't sound like, ah, huge running gay.
But the fact that the matter was they were doing it effective enough in order to keep the Rams honest and allowed for, uh, the Niners to stay on the field.
Whereas the Rams completely gave up on the running running game, even though cam makers averaged over nine yards a carry in a touchdown.
Darryl Henderson, however, who got the other half of the carries on Lee, averaged less than two yards a carry on 10 carries.
Robert Woods, What's the leading receiver? And the guy that Jared Goff was going to had seven receptions for 80 yards Defensively, Aaron Donald had himself a decent day, got himself a sack, forced a tipped pass that ended up being an interception.
Morgan Fox also had himself a sack and on the Niners defensively, you had carry Haider, who had a monster day with three tackles, one assist, two sacks and, of course, that tip that ended up with, uh with an interception.
Another person that had a massive interception was Richard Sherman, where we're wondering, where in the world was Jared Goff throwing the football? Because Richard Sherman was the only guy there within 10 yards of the past? Jared Goff did not have a very good game this game.
And honestly, it came down to which defense was able to get the more turnovers.
And it was the Niners in this game, and the Niners was also able to run the ball more effectively than the Rams.
And that's why they came out on top.
San Francisco has been, shall we say, very good this year, just staying in games with the injuries that they have sustained throughout the season to most of their primary big names.
Uh, going from starting quarterback all the way down toe on the other side of the ball, where some of their best pass rushers are completely out for the season.
And yet, still, somehow they find a way to be scrappy in each and every game.
This is a game that Los Angeles Rams wish they had back.
