Yo, yo, yo, what is up? What is up? What is up? Welcome back toe.
Wake up call with Avery Sports Show.
We're on the air Monday morning.
What's up? Get that crust out of your eyes.
We are black, Ladies and gentleman.
Ah, Monday morning and how the week in which we made it and football has been top of mind for so many NFL into Double A.
We gotta get into course the artist NFL Week we've had yet this year as to what's going on off the field on the field.
So you know, we may as well start with the New Orleans Saints Denver Broncos In what a game in which I had to watch.
I had to watch this game from start to finish, and usually I'm not checking a my New Orleans Denver game.
But this is a game I think many of us had to check due to the fact that the Broncos were playing his ball game without any active quarterbacks in their lineup.
If you've been following the story, the Broncos were out the cubes all out due to code protocols.
The quarterbacks were hanging around each other without masks on the grooves them out for covert exposure.
So the Chase is on literally 24 hours before the ballgame.
Who is going to play quarterback for Denver? You can't bring anybody in because you need five days clearance to get through with Cove. It.
So Denver is stuck having to play either a receiver or a wider or running back at quarterback for the first time.
That's happened since 1965.
Now I said, Isis, the friends probably.
Why did they not have a quarterback quarantined away from the team or have minimal contact to avoid this? I don't get that.
But the quarterbacks on Denver had to be smarter.
They had to stay away from each other.
They had to wear their masks.
You kept me risking it in a season like this.
Put what happened.
So the offense gets turned over to Kendall Dixon.
Kendall Hinton, a practice squad white out who had played some quarterback at Wake Forest.
But he hadn't played Q B C In 2017, he was converted to a white out, but he's the only real quarterback on this roster, so they turned to him and New Orleans, Denver 31 3 win for the same thing.
Moved to nine and two on the season.
It was such an odd game because originally we thought it was gonna be Royce Freeman handling things Andrew and Lindsay.
But no, they merely put, um, Kendall hinting at quarterback.
And you know, I feel bad for the guy because he's in a tough situation.
Hadn't played quarterback in 2017, and he got hit hard.
He only completed one pass entire game.
We went one for nine for 13 yards, two interceptions and really, it was in a no win situation.
He did the best He could, what, 14, 15 hours notice? He's gonna play quarterback in the NFL, and you know what the guy did His basketball hard made the most of it.
He didn't get a completion.
I'm glad he did get a completion because I would have sucked if he went the entire game without completing a single pass.
No, what he could.
At least then we didn't get shut out.
At least Brian McM****.
At least Brennan McM**** got that field goal to get dinner on the board and make it a 17 3 game.
But you saw and you know what? It was interesting to see how I want to know how much I playbook was trimmed down because the playbook look pretty basic.
But I thought mentioned for for Hinton, why were they rely on the deep ball so much? You didn't see any jet sweeps.
You didn't see many slant route, didn't see five yards Slams.
You didn't see any screen passes, just something easier for him to get a completion or to get the ball moving.
I didn't like the fact that on Denver they're relying so much on game, the ball deep downfield with the guy who hadn't played quarterback in so many years.
Really, I don't like that you saw you were struggling.
Where were the screens, where the slants give him something just to get a few a little dink and dunk for him just to move the ball to get him 345 completions on the drive? I didn't get that play calling.
I really didn't.
And again, even quarterbacks were healthy.
You're seeing why Denver is four and seven.
Tough day for him.
A really tough day.
And on the flip side, New Orleans gets a second win under Taysom Hill as a starting quarterback, U N nine for 16 only through for 78 yards.
There's no passing touchdown once again, Taysom Hill, still looking for that elusive passing touchdown as a quarterback.
The out of the game in which it was a very interesting game, a lot of runs.
A lot of a lot of that game was determined by the ground.
If you were looking for again being aerial assault, you had TV on their own ball game.
That was not the game for an aerial attack.
It was gonna be a lot of backyard football.
Slim down playbook play.
But I have to watch this.
I tow watch just to see how it was gonna look with Taysom Hill against a guy who has not played quarterback since college.
But now, if you're Denver, you gotta imagine your Denver.
Now, if you're that quarterbacking unit, you're gonna take way more precautions to avoid this happening again because straight up you have to.
You have to be more careful now what's going on? No more mask off socializing.
No more being willy nilly because if it happens again, you're gonna be in that same spot once again without a quarterback or the quarterback hasn't played in a very long time.
And you don't want that now, do you? No, you do not.

I am all ears, eyes, mountain news as usual.
Any Monday morning here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada or wherever you are in the world.
It could be evening.
It could be mid morning.
It could be tomorrow.
It could be Tuesday wherever you're watching this program in the world.
So yes, yes, yes, yes.
And also NFL news Eso a Pittsburgh and Baltimore The game in which we do not know what is going to happen What's gonna happen where it's gonna happen? The Steelers in the Ravens game was postponed, was posting on Thursday.
Got moved to the weekend.
Now I got moved to Tuesday due to covert tests and positive still emerging from both sides.
Now we know that teams don't want to forfeit because there's not gonna be anyone getting paid, which I still think it's wrong.
I still think that in a billion dollar corporate sports league, we should not be having forfeits where people are not being paid.
I don't like that.
I don't like that.
But I don't know how we're gonna play this game when there's still so much exposure.
And now we've got practices being canceled on Monday.
You got game on Tuesday.
I know NFL want to avoid this, but you don't run out of runway and they came to a point to me where you know what's what is more important, the game or health and safety.
Because certain points where you got to say you can't just keep perpetually you can't perpetually keep postponing this game forever and ever and ever and ever and ever you're gonna run out, you're going to run out of runway eventually for this game and you're going to have to make a decision.
Either play it or don't So an NFL league assumes that there are the tail end off the infections when really they don't know Jack, they do not.
They can't say, Okay, we're in the infection line.
They don't know what's gonna end.
They don't to assume or to try and pinpoint is reckless in a way.
I feel if we're seeing here on Tuesday and we still aren't sure personally feels me, if we're looking at Tuesday and we're still not ready to play a game, cut off, end it, finish it, that's it.
If we can't play on Tuesday, then this game is canceled.
I say Really no contest.
Give the guys their pay, that's it.
Does that mean that you're gonna have Pittsburgh in Baltimore finishing with one last game? So be it.
If you can't get the infection under control, then that's it tough.
And maybe you do have to at that point, switch over your playoff standings to win percentage to make it more fair because you would have a team getting advantage by having a one game on their schedule.
If that's the case, well, then you make your audio.
You've already seen sports before having Thio go to their standings by 1% as opposed to just straight wins loss.
But But I do think that with this and how it's always been committed to traveling so much, I think with the postseason, you gotta put that in a bubble.
You've got a limit travel when postseason games start happening and you've got enough facilities in the country in America to make a bubble, the postseason happen.
You've got enough stadiums.
You got enough around certain cities to say, Hey, we're gonna pick two or three cities, bubble up for their and then have the Super Bowl in our well, I still don't like the ball is gonna be in Florida.
I really don't, but I can't do anything about it.
I'm not the NFL, but I think going forward, you've got to really start talking about how we can.
Just having a have our players continue to fly around like it's normal.
Also on Twitter on the chat room J writes about sports is here. Welcome.
So but yeah, this game is truly a mess.
And now, in Santa Clara, you're seeing how the region is saying that they're gonna bar practices in sports for all team for next month.
So the 40 Niners are going to be without a facility for the next month.
Also to it just keeps on coming and coming and coming for the NFL.
When they could have avoided this a long, long time ago, they could have gone around this somehow, some way.
But what are you going to do? What are you going to do? That's the NFL trying to press forward, no matter what gets in their way.
Not shocking at all.
And this is, ah, lighter day on topics so it won't go a long is usually well.
But I do want to get into what we saw in college football.
Sarah Fuller becoming the first women to kick in a Power five football conference game for Vanderbilt.
Unfortunately, Vandy got hammered against Missouri 41.
So we didn't get to see her attempt to field goal, which did sucker after a point.
Because Vanderbilt football is a program, that is Oh, it's tough.
It's a program that is hurting, but we didn't see some positive seeing her at least give you a kick off in the second half.
Uh, script kick, which was absolutely, which was perfected.
And it didn't allow a Missouri return.
But people were here talking about Why didn't you blast the football? She didn't do a very good kick that silk.
I could've done better.
No, you couldn't have the Joe blow to Chad.
435 on Twitter likes to run his mouth about this.
Why are you so threatened by one playing football? Why are you so scared? Are you mad you couldn't play football yourself? You take your anger out on a college student.
Is that why you troll? You don't card stupid.
Just sit there with your food, right? And be be adult somewhere else.
Don't be that idiot that thinks it's funny to rag on a woman playing pro football or playing college football because you're insecure about your masculinity and you're mad.
You couldn't do it.
I'm glad for her.
Really cool to see that.
I hope we see more women getting opportunities like that in sports.
I really hope we do see that.
But guys on social media, those who wanted to troll be better.
Don't be that into insecure, embarrassing.
You're embarrassing yourself with that with trying to put somebody down, doing things you couldn't dio comical as we wrap things up here with the talk of Yes, yes, yes.
Thebe Boxing card.
Roy Jones Jr against Mike Taison.
I watched most of the card and of course, gonna wanna talk about the two fights that the whole world discussed.
J. Paul Nate Robinson.
Who? Yo, somebody, please arrest the cultures for Nate Robinson.
Nate was not ready for that fight.
Nate was not ready for that fight.
First of all, heart of Nate Robinson to take that fight.
Not gonna question that.
That's an athlete that is a true true competitors.
He took that fight head on, didn't fear.
Most people would definitely not do what he did.
That is on question.
But the technique.
How Nate was throwing punches, he his defense.
It needed so much help.
And I see Penguin Fan Double 07 Here.
Welcome as well.
Nate didn't know how to get a block it properly.
His chin was left open way too much.
He saw around to Jake.
Paul sent him down to the canvas hard with a crushing Naka Aneka knocked down in that fight three times he got knocked down way too much.
That fight referee after dark down number two.
That should have been it.
We should not have had a situation for Jake Paul to send Nate for a nap.
But the memes that came out of that, the jokes Yo Twitter is ruthless.
Yo, I never wanna fight on live TV because if I get knocked out, I know there's gonna be like 4000 memes about me taking a nap about me or a temper Pedic mattress getting a good night's rest.
Yo And the commentary off Snoop with More Ronaldo, Sugar Ray Leonard at Israel Lasagna and Israel Adesanya Commentary team was jokes.
That team was jokes I loved you had the play expertise of Morrow.
You had the expert ****ysis from Israel, Adesanya and Sugar Ray.
And then you had the jokes, the levity of Snoop I was agreeable.
And then you have, like, hearing snoop singing God singing black spiritually hymns as Nate was trying get back up to his feet had me dying.
Oh my gosh, That was just for a car like that.
It was a great mix and come in the broadcast booth.
And then Soup saying that nature from the hood.
He's gonna shake that off. He gonna be all right.
Oh, man, That was great.
That was great moment in sports for just ****ysis and just humor.
I loved it. I loved it. Well done, guys.
Well done on then.
Mike and Roy Jones.
You could I know.
At times Mike wanted to unload the uppercut on Roy Jones eight round exhibition.
You could tell that Mike Tyson wanted Teoh a little, but he's gonna go easier on Roy.
But, man, Mike was teeing off with Roy Jones ribs.
And yo, I'm sorry.
I don't care what age Mike Tyson is.
54 64 74 84 ninety four hundred four.
I'm not letting black trunks Mike Tyson goto work on my rib cage.
Heck, and I let him do that.
Oh, it looks like it hurts.
And then Mike, after the fight and ended in a draw, was saying how why? Nobody cares about me Since Roy retired three years ago.
I found the game 15 years.
Everybody's worried about him.
You know what? It's a fair point.
It's a fair point.
Concerning Roy's last fight came in 2018 on Mike Sauce.
Fight came in in 2000 and five and all the concerns with Roy Jones.
But no, I think that was funny.
But, you know, I personally think I would I watch a rematch of those two again, But I watched more of this kind of fight.
Sure, but I don't think my Typhon you know Mike.
So he wants to keep going.
I personally and it's just me purse.
I feel exhibition fights.
Why not? But really competitive fights.
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
No, but for what it was, though, I enjoyed I had a fun.
I had fun. Washington.
So I thought was hilarious.
Ah, bit of Ah, you know, it was a circus.
It was a spectacle.
But hey, I didn't mind it.
For what? 2020 has brought us a few hours off sports of boxing and lives and nostalgia.
Hey, I loved it.
I I have fun with it.
It was a good card.
It was a fun card to watch anyways.
That's it, that's all.
