On Hello, everybody.
Welcome to all about the birds.
Preview show Johnny Leca! Phil Stifle! And we are very happy to be joined by Trench talk himself.
Trey Thomas, Former Eagles offensive tackle, left tackle, the blind side protector for Donovan McNabb For all those years.
Um uh, and it's Trey frickin Thomas here, you know, first, two weeks ago, we got Derek Gun, and now we get Trey Freak.
Man, I love doing this, man.
This this is, like is like, you know, a kid in a candy store.
Oh, thanks for having me, man.
I told you, you guys keep showing those videos, and I'm like E You know what? He makes all the videos.
He does them all, man.
Yeah, I kept showing those videos.
I'm like, Alright, man, I got to get on with you guys so we could just wrap it up, talk a little football.
Sounds good way.
We don't have a better team to talk about, though, at this point, though, e I mean, it is what it is, man.
It's just ebbs and flows of the season right now this team is struggling.
I mean, you know, uh, where do you want to start? I mean, there's just so many missed aches.
I think that, you know, right now, it's, you know, they they have so much going on so many things that need to be fixed.
I don't know if you can during the at this point this season s so I mean, obviously, then let's just start.
I mean, obviously, you know, after that Browns game and all, And after the last couple of games, I mean, you've been on a lot of different teams.
Where is, you know, as a player, where are you emotionally at this point is a player when you had a lot of expectations, you know, you just mean Brown's.
I mean, I know there were six and three there now, seven and three, but they they're not a great team, you know, is a team that we should have beat, you know, with our preseason expectations, where are you as a player? Emotionally at this point in the season with this much disappointment, I mean, as a player for myself, I was always just gonna go out there and grind, no matter what.
You know, just because you know I had I had to protect $100 million man behind me.
So my always my mindset was just like, Look, you know, I need to go out there and whoever I'm going to face, I got to beat them, beat them down, no matter what our record is.
But it just seems like when you look at this team, you know, it looks like this team is almost to the point where they're ready to almost ****ed on the campfire.
You know, you're starting to see you guys starting to go down with different kind of injuries or whatever that's happening.
And, you know, I think that you see, you're going to see this team.
If they mess around and lose a couple more games, you're gonna start seeing guys just kind of like, All right, I'm done for the rest of this just to finish this out because you only have what, six more games? E kinda almost feel like that.
You know, some of the players already have that mentality that it seems like from their effort that they almost look like they're already looking for their golf game for January.
They're already looking, you know, to their their next contracts for the free agents, etcetera, that the emotion is pretty much, you know, shot on some of the players.
You see that? You know, just because I mean, you know, because right now you've been grinding.
You had all of this anticipation building up to the season.
And then now that it's not panning out the way you want it to, everybody has their little contract situations that's on their mind, you know? And then, you know you don't wanna have any offseason surgeries, you know? So everybody is kind of like you know what? I don't want to get hurt.
Let me just finish this out.
We're not gonna make it to the playoffs.
I don't think you know, because because, I mean, right now you're gonna lose first place unless Washington and Dallas ties, you know, saying on Thanksgiving.
So I mean, you know, that's that's gonna be out the window.
And I don't know if this team has the right type of people within that locker room to pull themselves out of it.
Yeah, and, you know, speaking you know, about you know, these veterans in the locker room a veteran.
I want to bring up is Jason Peters and the struggles that he had on Sunday.
Like what? Where you with the Jason Peters.
Jordan by a lot of debate.
Where do you fall in that? What do you think should happen? I mean, Jason's the money, man.
You know what I'm saying? Like I get everybody wanted to say, Hey, man, let's go ahead and, you know, start my a lot of over, Jason.
But you know, when you make this big stink about you know what, you want to get more money to get over there to play left tackle way you got to get your money's worth.
You know, you're not gonna pay somebody that much money for them to sit on the bench.
And that's just how it is.
That's why L Shaun Geoffrey is getting reps because he's the money man.
See? So, everybody, you got to take that whole Hey, you know what? He might be better or he might not.
Look, he's the money man.
You're making the most money.
So you know, you've got the big contract behind it, so hey, he's the one that has to get out there and go get it until it just falls off, you know? And that's what happened against this game here, you know? And some of the problems that that Jason Peters had in this game.
It's more technical than anything, you know.
And that's something that needs to be corrected through Monday through Friday.
That's needs to be checked in practice.
You know, else you're gonna have games like this.
Where your technique is it tight? Well, did you feel that go in the games that you saw my lot of while Jason Peters was out that he showed progression for the little bit of time you add with him? Did you think that? I mean, he earned.
I mean, if if the money aspect of it wasn't, you know, part of the equation did he do enough to earn at least the opportunity moving forward at least people if we were still in college? Yes.
He had earned the you know what I'm saying? I'm just being really Yes.
He had he had earned the right if we were still in college in high school.
I learned my a lotta earned the right to start, but right now it's about who's the money guy and J.
P is the money got and he's a future Hall of Famer first ballot, hands down, Hall of Famer, you know, and you can never take that away from them.
It's just that right now, this year is just It's not looking.
Good way Got your girl Tori checking and saying that she thinks you've got more in the tank than JP at this point.
Way all love, Tory.
Hey, Tori, you know, watches every show way.
Yeah, but I mean, you know, like e thought that jail Jordan did a really good job.
Now, if you're in a perfect scenario, I would have put jpn at left guard.
Let J allowed Jordan to stay out there at left tackle.
Then you brain Jordan jpn to play left left guard because it's, um, or natural position for all it's doing is bumping them down.
And you can protect them a little bit better if you put him down inside.
But you put him out there on that island, man.
Hey, you know, everybody thinking sweet.
You know what I'm saying? Like when you out there on that island, there is no help, and you could see it happening like you could bring a tight end in every now and then.
But defense events that started the time up.
A little bit better, like there are things that he could get away with before he got up in age, when before his knee, these and stuff and started bothering him that he could get out off with just being as athletic as he is.
But now that that athleticism has faded a little bit, you know it's making it harder for and the other thing I want to mention.
I know you meant something about because people always talk about.
JP was signed here to be a guard moving to guard, but you mentioned something about he's He hasn't played on the right side since.
What high school or something like that hasn't played.
He has a place on the right side since his fresh his rookie year, his rookie year, about 15 16 years ago, and you said last year when they move Dillard to right tackle from left tackle on didn't give it much time and he struggled in that game.
You said it's almost like if you're right handed taking your left hand and writing.
It's not gonna be very good.
How is your feeling in terms of JP at that guard? I know you said it's not something that they're gonna dio.
I don't think from what I understand, You know, maybe the thought of it was was cool, but JP being realistic and bumping him down the right guard.
I did not think that was going toe work just because he had been in the left handed stands for 16 years.
And I don't think people really understand the muscle memory that goes into that.
Even when I'm just standing, hanging out, just chilling.
I stand with my left foot back a little bit.
You know what I'm saying? Just because of how you used to just being in that position.
Even when I bowl, I'm a right handed boulder.
But I have a left handed curve.
You know what I'm saying? So it's just muscle memory that happens from being on your side that just, you know, when you switch over to the other side.
Now let's just take let's just take a look at it real quick if if I'm just gonna talk, just we're here.
Okay? So let's say if I'm a left handed guy.
All right? So now I'm in a left handed stance.
My left hand is back.
My right hand is up.
Okay, So if I'm punching you never really shoot both hands at the same time.
You always go inside and outside and inside and outside, and you only bring your outside hand if you really need it.
You never wanna throw your outside hand first.
Because if you throw your outside hand a defensive end of clean that you have nothing else from battle with.
Now, let's see you get over here on the other side and you on the right side.
Now your left hand is up.
Right hand is back.
If you mess around and just instinctively throw your writings right hand and they clean it, man, you're done.
I mean, you know what I'm saying? Just just the muscle memory of that alone is a reason not to switch guys over.
You see it a lot.
Even with Nate Herbert when he went from left left guard.
Now he's in the left hand, stands his left foot is back, right foot is up.
Now. He gets on the other side.
He started dropping his foot, dropping his foot feet, and it's shot opening up planes to the guard.
So with feet, hands and everything that's going on, there's a lot of muscle memory that happens from being on one side or the other.
And that's why you don't see guys switches much on the professional level.
Unless you're swing player that is used to doing that.
I mean, you bring up, you know? You know her leg there and all and again we had, You know, we all heard Doug Peterson say that he played up ADA because of pay to earn the right, you know, to get that opportunity this week and again, it's just another one of those things were just fans.
We didn't play professional football and all.
You know, we we talked about them.
A lot of you know, Jason Peters, who should have played, you know, way defer to the you know, the experts.
You know, you being an expert, you know? You know, Doug said okay, Toe, earn that right? Obviously he did not show it in the game.
Was it Maura technique issue just in the game, or is Doug just saying things that don't make sense at this point? Well, peta, I thought, you know, in the last game against against the Giants, I guess.
You know, I thought he played okay.
He got put on his ass a couple of times.
I mean, you know, that's gonna happen, but, you know, when you started what? One of the things I noticed is that how tight he lines up on the center and, you know, and that's what caused the problem where he ended up stepping up on Carson's foot and tripping him, causing a sack.
Now, that's something that should have been seen in practice to tell him.
Hey, look, I need you to move out a little bit more, get out of Chelsea's hip a little bit, but I thought, you know, his technique was okay, you know, at left guard.
Now, you know, going up against Cleveland was my first time seeing him at the right guard position.
You know, to me, I would have had played Nate Herbert just because he's your backup center.
I don't understand what's going on with that, you know, because now, you know, they said that he has a finger issue or whatever that is.
You know, for offensive lineman to miss game because a finger, you know? Hey, Kells, Jason Kelsey went out there not able to buckle his chinstrap.
I don't wanna hear about a finger.
E don't wanna, like, lessen his injury unless it's a, like, manned up.
And, you know, his chin strap was back out there after his injury on Sunday.
Unless he has a screw like he had to have some type of surgery or something, then all right, you know, But if it's just, you know, swelling or something like that, I mean, come on, man.
I mean, but those ghost guys back in the day used to go out there with these two clubs e forecast all throughout my career, you know? But you can you can knock some guys out with that stuff.
Probably can't Exactly.
Yeah, that's why I did it.
Yeah, man, You want me to keep going with the question guys? You know, e I'm sorry.
In the meeting earlier today, So sorry, e, you could just stay there and keep sharing a person to comments.
You know what was ready before I came on. I apologize.
I e you know, So, Jason, healthy, obviously, you know, showed a lot of heart on Sunday, you know, being injured and all.
But then there's the flip side that, in my opinion, again, not as the expert justice to fan watching the game, taking notes and all.
It has not been his best season.
Obviously, you know, is that mawr just age catching up to him? Is that him overcompensating for the guys on his left in his right? Because obviously our guard play has not been up to par.
What do you think is the issue with Jason Kelsey at this point? Notwithstanding him coming out and showing the only player on the team last week that showed any heart going back out there? That notwithstanding, what do you think is the decline issue with Jason Kelsey? I think Kelsey, you know, and this is something that he's been battling with throughout his career.
You know, he's undersized for a center, so, you know, you know that.
You know they're gonna put with the way you get.
The game is played now, man.
Defensive tackles are like 3 10, 3, 15, 3, 20.
You know they're outweighing Kelsey by £2030 each game.
And I think that one of the problems is you're starting to see right now is that Kelsey is starting to overextend himself a little too much Where he's off balance, he's dropping his head a lot, you know, and technical stuff.
I feel like at times when it comes to making the right calls, I think that that has been a problem as well.
How much of that is on Kelsey? How much do I put on that on coached out as well? You know what I'm saying? Because I mean, at the end of the day, I mean, you gotta check that if you're If you're not making the right calls, then that's a problem, you know? And so that's some of the things that I just see when it comes.
Thio some of the struggles that Kelsey has been having not only with the physical part of it.
It's the mental part where you know you're missing calls.
You're abandoning the rules of protection at times.
You know, it gets confusing at times when you see them like you go back And you look at the the New York game from last week.
You had a play where they had Do you understand what a cap safety and all of that is when they're nickel? So all right, so it was a nickel formation.
Strength is to the left When we say okay, passing strength, passing strength is decide with the most wide receivers, no matter what.
All right, So I don't care if it's a tight and tight end on the right, and then it's whatever site has the most wide receivers.
Okay, So nine times out of 10, the blitz is going to come from the passing strength side because that's where you can hide Mawr secondary players.
Okay, so what you look at when you're talking about picking up blitz, you have to look at the safeties.
Okay? So in any time if you see a safety lined up directly over a nickel cornerback, then nine times out of 10, that's the Blitzer.
You know what I'm saying? Because you have to have the safety to come down to take care of the guy that the Blitzer is going to abandon.
So you have you go back to this game against against New York and JP is pointing out there like, Hey, man, the Blitzer Here it is.
We got a cap safety over there.
But Kelsey tells them, No, we're going to keep it inside so they keep it inside.
Now, that means that Miles Sanders has to go out there and take care of the nickel.
Okay, Well, they do that.
But then the second time it happens.
But then Miles Sanders gets confused, and then now you get a guy coming free, and then, bam, there's another hit on the quarterback.
So you can't abandon the rules of protection at times because then and then you wanna buy about because it makes it all confusing.
So, you know, you got to just stick to the rules and then just go from there, E like to educate myself.
I'm just writing it down.
What you're saying here know it za great points because ah, lot of people like to say Oh, they missed that. Oh, they missed that.
Oh, they did this because and it happened last year.
And I remember Trey, You were on the radio and you talked about it was the Baltimore game when they had, I think it was.
I think it was the backup quarterback and it was It was son fell their stories.
Then they said, Dillard, let the let the let the Blitzer go right by in any city.
Hey hammered him and you broke it down and said, It's not always that clear cut.
There's always responsibilities that the normal fan doesn't know about.
So that Z that that's a great breakdown because, you know, you you see that and you know, with what you know, talking about the offensive line and with once struggling and everyone's saying he's fallen so far.
Yes, he struggled, but how much it has it been on the offensive line and you know, the blitz pick up in all different things.
With with Carson.
I mean, you could look at man.
He's been sacked 40 times so far.
He's been sacked 40 times.
Hit 99 you know.
You know, last year he was sacked only 37 times.
You know what I'm saying? Right now? He has.
He still has six games left.
You know, you've only had three games out of these that seven of the last three games were double digit quarterback hits.
E mean, that's ridiculous, you know? I mean, when you go back and you look at how many how many times have you seen a quarterback make it through the full season? You know you have it.
E don't wanna hear any of this, that Carson's not tough and he's injury prone because that that man is getting hit on.
I cannot remember these guys were young guys.
I'm a little older, you know.
I was around before the Andy readers and stuff like that.
And, you know, I don't remember an Eagles quarterback getting hit like this.
Never in my career is an Eagles fan.
He's taking a beating.
And I mean, you know, and I know a lot of people harp on him and hey, man, all you got to do is all you got to do is well, if all you had to do was it was something, man, everybody will be out there doing it, you know? I mean, you know, e mean that man gets out there and he takes a beating and he picks himself up, dusts himself off never throws anybody under the bus.
It just goes back out there and try to do it again.
I mean, you just had Dan Orlovsky just break down one of his plays and you saw a defensive tackle.
It was a simple three man game, a simple three man game where the end crashes on on JP.
The defensive tackle comes across Kelsey's face, and then the opposite defensive tackle comes all the way around.
That's a simple three man switch off.
I mean, that's that's something that should be drilled every Wednesday.
I mean, every Wednesday, when we were with wine, we drilled that every Wednesday and Friday we went over games, and I mean, for them, they like, Oh my God, what is this? You know, you mean to tell me they can actually run a three man game and then you have a **** defensive tackle coming around free? And Carson Wentz is standing there staring at him, knowing that he's about to get his chest caved in, and now he has to try to deliver a ball where the receiver didn't run around right route.
So, you know, you say this should be drilled in on Wednesdays, So who's to blame them for this poor performance? Is it Doug's fault? Is it how his fault is a Carson's fault? Doesn't yeah, doesn't coach offensive line does not doing this.
I mean, Coach, stop to me.
I love Coach that. I think he's a cool everybody.
Yeah, but to me, when it comes to teacher protection, I think that's where he kind of falls off a little bit because that's where you start to see a lot of problems.
All right, so when when you see all these blitz pickups, all of these stunt games, that's causing the problems E.
I mean, at a certain point, I got to start looking at the players and start looking at who's coaching you, because, I mean, if you can't get beat by the same stuff, I can't look at the player I can, you know, if you can.
Where's the correction? The correction has to come from the coach, and now that's one of the things that one was big on.
Like we had to drill that stuff so much every Wednesday, every Friday, drilling, drilling, drilling, even if we didn't have games and you know you're like all the young guys that we that that didn't play on Fridays.
One would have them bringing, like if we because Fridays would be just a helmets practice.
One would have the young guys bring their pads out on Fridays.
Just put your pads off to the side.
Because once this practice is over with, we're gonna get some extra work with the young cats just so that you could be tight, because we never know if you're gonna be ready to go.
And that's what you start seeing with somebody you can't, man.
They're not ready to rock.
When? When The when the number is called, Luke, whoever the backup center waas.
You could tell that that man had never taken a snap with the ones he was so happy to see healthy.
When he went that locker room with a he he was happy to see Kelsey when he was in the locker room at halftime.
So you're telling me you got you didn't get rest days? What? Yeah, rest days.
You know, you get the rest.
What's that? 11, 11 years? 11 years under under Andy Reid.
I never had a rest day, especially coming off a bye right it didn't matter.
I'm not trying to be overly critical.
E **** out at all of us.
The rest days, it never had a rest day, man.
Never had arrested a different way, like 15, 20 years ago.
It was a totally different era, even that long ago.
Like much of a difference there, man.
Man, it's weird.
I'll say listening to you talk here today and I'm hearing you earlier today on Mark's Enrico 94 w i p.
It sounds like you're not ready to give up on Carson once.
I know the city of Philadelphia right now.
There there were ready the bench in right now.
After the lackluster performance from this offensive year, eso I would say, Obviously you feel it's not timeto move onto Jalen Hurts at this time.
Still go with Carson? Yeah, I think it goes.
Still go with Carson.
What are you gonna do? I mean, what do you think Jalen is gonna do any much any better for you? I mean, for real.
I mean, you think that you get the calls all the time? I was saying, When you're on with those guys and you, everyone's just I understand Carson's played bad.
I would say he leads the league in turnovers with interceptions and fumbles and all that.
So I would say, Of course, he's not playing up the part of what we expect them to do.
But as you broke down here, there's a lot more issues than your than your quarterback.
And I heard you go on the rant today about the protection up front, how they're not giving them the time and all that stuff.
So we agree with you.
I used to know your thoughts.
If you felt that, I would say Philly fans or the media overreacting, I'm reading articles from some of your colleagues out there.
Say it's time to move on from Carson or it's time to Ben Carson and way I find the ridiculous.
So I was just wondering your thoughts on that.
And everybody is gonna have that, too, because, I mean, he's been he's been having a down year, and I know that that's the natural thing to say, All right, We'll just mention, you know what? Do you really think that's gonna fix anything, though, You know, what do you think that's going to do for Carson.
And so now you're going to create.
He just got out of another quarterback controversy.
So you're gonna put him in another one with Jalen hurts, you know, and I don't know why.
I don't know why they selected jail.
You know what I do have, Ah, theory Why they give us that theory I want Just because I felt like they knew that the protection has been a problem.
You haven't had a healthy quarterback make it through the season yet, you know? So you try to bring in a jail in somebody that's an athlete.
So just in case if Carson goes down Hey, man, if you go down, it was probably because you got your chest caved in because we couldn't protect you.
So now we need somebody that can get out there and scout around and throw them out because you messed around to get something out of there.
Hell, you might be down to quarterbacks because I mean, the way they've been protecting.
And, you know, to bring up a little bit of you know, the criticism wise, but whence you you played with, You know what I think is one of the best quarterback in Eagles and Eagles franchise history.
And, you know, he had so much criticism on, you know, not not winning that big game, getting to the big game, not winning and all the criticism that he had And even with in the later years benching him for backups and everything like that, what do you compare the two criticisms between? You know what whence is getting now and what Donovan had to face? I know it's different.
Social media is a little bit e.
I mean, ****, dude, that comes with the ****ing I'm Sorry e that comes with that.
Comes with the position.
I mean, you know something? Nobody cares.
Get out of your You're gonna be criticized.
I mean, you know, this is what you signed up for.
I don't I don't care, you know? Yeah.
If this isn't for you, then you know, move on.
You can't be so sensitive about it, You know, to me, I mean, you know, that's what comes with your position.
You know, you signed up for this, This is what you do.
So I mean, you know, and you know that the quarterback is gonna have a microscope on you anyway, So I mean, you know, it is what it if you don't want it, play better.
You know what I'm saying? That that's it, you know? And if you if you can't handle it, then move on.
I mean, this market isn't for everybody, you know.
So you know what? You're what you're getting into.
Eso gets criticized Mawr or less.
Nobody got time for that, man.
That's what comes with the position.
Yeah, well, doesn't it seem like the locker room is falling apart? To an extent, at this point, there's a lot of dissension between the coaching, the front office, the players.
I mean, you were on a few bad teams, most of your teams, you were lucky.
We're really good teams play off contenders.
Super Bowl contenders, you know.
But you know, 98 you know, at the end of railroad this time frame, you know, you sauce, um you know, falling apart. Teams.
What's it like then? When you're the guy that supposed to be leading your team is facing this criticism.
You know, the team is falling apart.
You're obviously not going.
What's going on? The locker room right now, our players checking out, then for sure, or all of every man for themselves at this point now.
Well, first of all, just because the quarterback is is the guy doesn't mean that he's necessarily leader in the locker room.
Just that title does not think you you know what I'm saying? Because I mean, you gotta have other guys in that locker room to keep things together.
When you look at our teams throughout throughout our years with Big Red, you had dog you had trot, you had. You had myself.
You have run you.
You had a number of guys within that locker room that can kind of keep things together.
Just because the quarterback has that, you know, where is the red jersey doesn't necessarily mean that he is the leader of the group, you know? So you know, because at the end of the day, Carson What? Five years in the game? I mean, man, you know j p.
17 years and again.
What the hell? Carson Hotel J.
You know what I'm saying? Like I mean, for real.
I mean, you know, Jim, he's not gonna listen to him eso, you know, at the end of the day, you gotta have.
What I see on this team is just when you see a breakdown within the locker room.
It's not the young guys that's causing the problem.
It's the perceived, the leaders of the group.
It's not young guys that showing up late.
That's not giving you what you needed on on the practice field.
It's your vets that's causing the problem.
And if you don't have the right type of vets and within that locker room, then now it's time to start making some decisions to kind of roll things over, and that's that's probably where this team is gonna have to be.
I think that you're gonna have to roll some guys up out of here, some big name guys, that that's That's probably about time for them to go, and you probably need to get your offensive coordinator and here to kind of somebody that's going to be hard on Carson and hold them accountable, because, I mean, you know, I like press tell.
I worked with press teller when I was on the coaching staff.
I think he's a cool cat, but he's a little too friendly with Carson.
I don't know how to reporters with their, you know, one and I never went to dinner until after I retired.
You already mentioned the guy I want because Dan Orlovsky I mean, he's probably know a fence to you.
I'm a big fan of quarterback play, and he's my favorite guy to listen, to talk out there, big names on ESPN, and I think he would make.
I know he hasn't coached before.
You're professionally, but I think he would make a great offensive coordinator to be a great voice.
You know, he's created, he's got ideas.
That's where my mind has been since before the season started.
So, yeah, and he understands that. You know what, Okay.
And this is what I like.
When I think about it, it's like, all right, you know, as someone that's played the position, you know that when you hear coaches talk about practice and I talked about this a lot is that they say Okay, you know what, man? We came out of practice.
We had a beautiful practice today.
Not one ball touched the ground.
It was a Chris practice.
What That was because the quarterbacks first two reads were always there.
You know what I'm saying? So that when we have practices, they always script it for the quarterbacks to come out of the feeling good.
Well, that's a problem when you get to the game, because now what happens when they when those first two reads, are taken away in the game? You know what I'm saying? Now you're like, Oh, what do I need to do now? Now you are, You know, you start panicking, and now you haven't drilled yourself to get to the 3rd and 4th 3, and then now it's zero turnover, fumble or whatever it is that's going to happen just because you didn't train them, right, you didn't you didn't force him to see the field, and that's what practice to me is all about.
You have to take those first two reads away and practice without letting him know that you're going to turn the first two weeks away just to force him to see the field.
And then now you can start to see them get a little bit sharper and quicker and his decision makers.
But if you don't do that in practice, then how you expect for him to do it in the game? And then a lot of people try to say, All right, well, he's inaccurate.
Well, you know what? How fast are you making your receivers running practice? Are they running game speed? Because at times when you see him throw, he's usually a little bit behind the receivers.
Well, then, when they were in practice, where you guys running at that tempo? Because, really, he's throwing at the same spot that he probably was throwing that in the game.
But now that you're in the game mode, you're running a little bit faster now.
The ball is a little bit behind you.
That's one of the things that when I was out there in Kansas City, Kansas City of training camp on this year and Big Red Heart don't making his guys run full speed every time because that's what made it makes it work.
That's why Patrick Mahomes can go out there and just like these guys up because he's already drilled it in practice has already been happening in practice.
One is an interesting question.
I want to address.
It is having is not having an offensive coordinator.
Is this from Chip, one of the writers for our website not having chip or not having an offensive coordinator causing the problem? Is that an issue Having nine different position coaches, but no leader in that offensive room? An issue? Yeah, you know what, Todd? Todd Harriman's.
We did our thing last night, and he just blew my mind with very simple statement.
E was just like, Wow, he was saying that, you know, because you don't have an identity and offense when you have all of these different ideas, you don't have a non identity you don't have.
Okay, well, I'm a running type type guy.
I'm gonna be a run first.
The place Don't marry each other.
You know what I'm saying? So you have all of these different ideas.
You just got this huge pot of gumbo ideas of offense and stuff.
But you don't have identity to your game plan.
And so it just looks.
It looks like it looks like you have a bunch of minds just pulling something together instead of having one person that's saying all right, you know what? This is what I like to do.
Bring ideas to the table.
But this is going to be my rhythm.
And this is how I like the work it and then you build it from there.
But I think that the lack of having offense coordinator is kind of hurting this offense a little bit, because look at what they did.
When you have Frank right in the Filipo here, you know what I'm saying? I mean, look, I mean, you wouldn't want a championship, man e, I'll say we're hearing all about the birds live.
Thank you, Trey, for coming on a few more minutes with you.
All right, we'll get your thoughts on something or at Monday's game.
Eagles, Hawks, Carson Wentz, Russell Wilson.
Pivotal game for the Eagles to stay in playoff contention in in this division like you brought up earlier.
How do you feel this one shaping up? Do you feel the Eagles have any chance of winning on Monday? I know.
You know, writing E was a pretty quick answer right there.
I'm sorry, I don't You know, I'm done lying to the people. I'm sorry.
You know, like like I wanted, you know, I've just done lying to the people and just saying, Yeah, they could win it.
But then when I opened up my arm, my betting app I go and put my money on the other thing.
I'm like, I'm not gonna do that, you know? I'm not gonna lie to you, man.
I don't think this team is going to do it, man.
You know, And I'm just gonna be honest with you.
I think that this team right now if if if, if they come out there and they punched him in the mouth.
Man, these guys already ready to **** on the campfire? Man, I'm just telling, you know, and that's just me being honest with you.
You know, I think that you're just gonna have to ride this wave for these next several games and just hold on and just hope that Carson doesn't hurt anything major or whatever, because I mean hell, you might get jailing in there. He get hurt, too.
You know what I'm saying? I'm just hoping that these guys just make it through the season, but I I don't see it happening, you know, I think that, you know, also one of the things that this team is hurting is that, You know, having no fans in that stadium is really hurting this team.
You know, because this team is the type of organ is that those guys really feed off the fan base.
And, you know, I think that that's really hurting the squad, you know? And right now you're not gonna have any fans in there.
They've already cut all that out.
So you know, this team doesn't have enough to bring their own juice, and, you know, and I don't see that happening.
Do you see that? Missing the playoffs? Do you think they make the playoffs at all? Or do you know No, I don't.
I mean, what s so what? I mean, they eso you more wins, but I can't find two wins on the schedule at this point.
No, I mean, they might win three games only for the entire year.
Yeah, this might be in.
You might have saw their lead their first, their three wins.
I mean, for real, because because, I mean, Dallas is starting to come around, you know, they found starting to find shape.
You know, Washington is no slouch.
I mean, you know, New Orleans even with what's his name in there? I mean, look strong, E.
I agree with you.
I don't know if they are game the rest of the season.
They might just pull one out against won the NFC East opponents.
We talked on the show the past couple weeks.
The next four games.
It's brutal, and I'll say the offense is playing against some of these other offenses.
It's gonna be a shootout the way that's defense is playing and they're not.
They're not gonna compete with these shootouts with a lot of these things. You have to go up against Rogers.
You go against Russell Wilson next week.
Kyler, Murray and I would say some of these guys are mobile quarterbacks, which Jim Schwartz doesn't design well up again.
So, yeah, we're on the same.
We're on the same page there.
I don't know if they win the game and then you got the offensive line.
That's that's struggling.
You're about to go up against some really nice defense is now that go along with some of those teams, you know, Now you know Green Bay, they struggle with the run.
But, man, right now the way, I I don't know.
What's the extent of Lane Johnson's neck and shoulder injury? Nothing has come out about that.
You know, we don't know how bad Kelsey's elbow is going to be.
What's happening with her Bix finger.
You know what's going to happen? Moving forward with just his offensive line.
I don't know where JP is is you know, Jordan my a lot of yes, he could step in and play left guard.
I mean, play left tackle.
But what's gonna happen with the other three guys that are out there? Cause I think Chelsea's gonna be you know, that you have to carry him off the field.
But I think everybody else, you know, where is everybody? Because, I mean, without Brandon Brooks in their lane is, you know, he's just not the same man.
You know, you could tell like, you know, he Brandon really means a lot to Lane.
And I think that that's one of things that you know is you know, Lane is missing right now.
I mean, I was gonna ask, no question, but we're gonna I'm just gonna wrap it up with one question for me.
Oh, he wants to know if Ben Simmons is gonna develop.
She she great for six years Talk doesn't thing anymore.
E had a question, but I'm just gonna surpass my question with with 16 years question like that.
Yeah, I hope so.
I hope he makes another three.
I mean, it was it was a year ago.
We have over under 2.
5, 3 for Ben Simmons. This year.
I'm gonna go over.
I think you're gonna make him shoot it for the accountable, which, actually, you know, make some.
Is Doug Peterson holding these guys accountable? Enough? You know what I think you know? You know, when you have guys that where it's been reported that they show up late to meetings like, What is that like, you know, it is not there.
You like Nigel? Brad, Um, didn't even go to a pre season game one year.
It's just like, look, nothing happened, you know, like I can't even imagine doing something like that.
I was late one time, and it haunts me to this day that I was late for a crack this one time, and it just ****es me off that I was late but down, hanging out with Jamal Jackson at Dale State.
Man, it was It was a really good time.
It was a really good time.
But, you know, we paid for what wasn't worth it in the end.
But, you know, so I mean, he's not holding these guys accountable.
But how long does that Super Bowl leash last? You know you want a Super Bowl? Obviously, has the coach, you know? So everyone says he's gets 234 however many years because he won that Super Bowl May.
I've been saying that how he and Doug's leash should be cut off right now and they need to prove it.
Or they need to go because we need to.
I wanna win more Super Bowls.
I don't want just one.
So I don't believe in the winning one title earned you a decade of poor performance in Esso does this year shorten that leash or cut that least short for these guys? I think so.
You know, I know that they've had this is considered a down year, you know? But you're gonna have to make some I mean, some really big changes, some really big turnovers, you know, to kind of, you know, turn this thing around it, and it would make it so bad.
It's too late to turn it around Now.
You know, you can't come in with the iron fists in week 11 and try to, like, beat on there.
Hey, guys, I need you all to everybody.
Needs to be on time.
The president has already been set.
You know, if you were going to try to change things, you would have done it during the bye week.
So here you are.
You know, you keep giving out rest days, you know, like, you know, I don't think they really understand.
Like, how that affects the players around you.
You know, when you come out of a bye week and you give a rest state, you know, you just had four days off, you know, and it's like as a coach, I'm like, Look, man, as just a player, I'm probably looking at that, like, hold on, you know.
What is that? How is that just built in every week? And I understand, You know, you know that she was the guy playing and practicing and not taking that rest day, doesn't it? That's got to be in the back of your head. Exactly.
You know, and it just doesn't look good, you know? And I think that that ah, lot of that plays into you know what's going on right now with this team? You know, e.
I don't know, man.
It's just it's I think that you're just gonna have to ride this thing out.
You know, it is what it is.
You know, you're just gonna try toe, get through the season, and I know everybody come in there and say, Hey, man, I'm ****ed off.
We angry, and we this we that once you get popped in the mouth, that fizzles out real quick, you know, because all that fake energy, you know, you know, nobody you know, they see through that.
And that's why I just feel like, you know, you're gonna have to make some really big changes or you're gonna have to just, you know, because it's too late to turn it around right now.
That's already been, you know, this is done, E, I said.
I said to it was an overreaction, but I said Clean house.
Two weeks ago against the Giants.
I'm like I'm ready to cut the ties from everybody I know, I know everybody loves to Sally, but I compared it to the Sixers where they need to get rid.
They left a couple Colangelo guys in the front office.
No, you just You just need to clean house on bringing fresh voice.
And I know that was a little bit of an over reaction after the Giant's loss, and then it gets a bit aggressive browns, but at this point, it's an overreaction.
But at this point, you know, nobody's holding anybody accountable on that team at this point and that.
And that's what frustrates may.
Yeah, I mean, you know, and no one can overstep their boundaries.
And when you look at what's going on, it's just tough, man, you know, and it and you hate to see the team like this just because I know how much how much you put into it, and you want to get out there and have a good performance and losing.
It's tough, man, because you're trying everything and it's just not working.
And I think you got Carson out that he he wants to win I think he wants to be successful, you know? And it's just not clicking, man, These guys around them that that, you know he's getting.
I mean, when you go back and you look at the quarterbacks jersey and it's dirtier than yours, it's a problem when your quarterback, Jerry is the dirtiest jersey on the field.
That's not a good day in the office.
I'm writing that down in my no paper there like that.
I'm gonna use that again in the future.
But, you know, I just wanted to bring and I did a little bit of research because a lot of people like me.
I became an Eagles fan in the late nineties.
So one of my first Eagles parties, Yeah, yeah, baby.
One of my first Eagles party was 1998.
Opener vs Seattle.
I know you know that game.
Use your rookie year.
Um, but I look over your stats and a lot of people.
I feel they overlook Trey Thomas as the player.
He was a great great player, 166 games played.
Onley missed a handful of games.
You got to count those playoff games which bumps it up 100 183 e.
Don't worry about the preseason games.
You know we don't worry about that, but you know those 17 playoff games? E yeah, 17 playoff games.
So then what I did was looking on Lee, a three time Pro Bowler, which I feel is a little bit a little low in my opinion.
But I looked at other other offensive lineman during your time.
You know, Willie Roaf.
Orlando pays Walter Jones, Chris Samuels, other top names.
And then there's a stat in one of the reference references about penalties and had holding penalties, false starts and then, like decline penalties eso in 166 games.
Now this is for just the Eagles.
I only did the eagle that I didn't do the one year in Jacksonville.
Um 16 holding penalties, 35 false starts, eight declined or offset penalties.
You rank that with these other top offensive lineman, and you're right there with all of them and, you know, watching you as growing up seeing all these teams, all the success that they had.
You know, you always saw that big and I used to go to training camp Jeff and I live, You know, about 10, 15 minutes away from Bethlehem.
You know, your first reaction or some of those stories that you guys used to have a starters? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But, you know, you see, for me always saying that big number 72 you know, mammoth of a guy.
I just feel that you are overlooked in terms of should be an Eagles Hall of Famer.
And you should have been a little bit more notoriety, which I know for a player you don't really wanna take too much notoriety.
You're just there to do your job.
And that's what you're there for. Make a living and everything.
But for me, you know, I do appreciate giving us the time Appreciate being a interacting with you.
Um, but for me, e need those 35 false starts, man.
You know, it's like Ricky Bobby, if you ain't first, you're last E.
What? What? Johnny, I gotta say, why would you bring up the false start penalties Thio.
Hey, How many games did he keep his quarterback's blind side? Clear how e o against, um, cheated in that Super Bowl, dammit.
Yeah, yeah, but like what I want because I wrote this down your favorite story as a player.
There's been a whole bunch of different stories.
I know you brought the Koy Detmer in San Francisco, uh, story a long while ago.
You know, certain different stories.
Like, what's your favorite story as a player? I think my just my introduction into it, man.
Just being my rookie year with Ray Rhodes man and the **** pregame speech he gave to us before Kansas City.
You know, it was just like a shock.
Like, what the **** are we doing? Like it was just so crazy and wild.
What? I'm sorry.
You know, it's just so crazy and just wild as a rookie.
You know, I was just so happy to be here.
Like, I really didn't know much about the eagles.
You know, about the team or anything like that.
I just knew that when I came here, you know, I got off the plane and wine brought me in, and he had me out on the vet in the dark.
You know what I'm saying? Like it was dark.
It was late when I flew in, and like he got me off the plane and and brought me into the vet.
And we're out there doing vertical sets in street clothes.
And I was like, Man, this is the city that I want to play for.
I wanna work the work, what you want and and just happened to work out that way.
And then my rookie, you know, just coming in there and we're getting ready to play Kansas City.
And, you know, Derrick Thomas at the time was leading the league, you know, and had a single game record.
And all this stuff in man and railroads came with this ridiculous pregame speech, man.
And it just I was went out there and just destroyed Derrick Thomas.
You mentioned Thomas? Yeah, Jeremy Bridges.
I didn't actually do the look.
The thing Did you ever play with Jeremy Bridges? He was six, I think draft picking.
We've had him on a couple of shows and all.
He played with the Cardinals, who panthers and all.
One of the greatest questions we asked him was talking about who he loved to just crush.
So you say you beat up on dark times, who's who's the toughest, but who's the if you had a name one.
You know, stud lineman, that you're just so proud that you shut down nonstop.
Derrick Thomas would have been in it for the number one guy.
I mean, just because, I mean, the man is Hall of Fame Bruce Smith.
You know what I'm saying? Like, I had a lot of good battles against Bruce Smith.
I don't think he's beating for too many, you know? Yeah, You, Johnny, will have a video tomorrow, you know, because, I mean, that's that's one thing I kind of pride myself on.
I'm not on too many highlight reels.
You know what I'm saying? Like I'm not on other players Highlight reels.
They try to skip over me.
You know what my rookie year, man we will get because I used to talk a lot of ****.
They're like my rookie.
I used to talk so much **** and so s so we're getting ready to play Green Bay, man with Reggie White and Cooper.
They were like, Hey, man, listen, man.
Trey, you be out of the mouth and off, man.
Reggie White gonna come over to your side.
The quietest game I've ever played.
I went out. I didn't even wanna talk.
E didn't say now one word, that entire game.
Because I'm like, man, I do not want Reggie White coming over here and give me that **** heart move.
Because to this day, when you look at that highlight reel, man, Reggie White made a lot of cats look stupid.
That's why he's the great.
He's the g o the young.
These young cats didn't see him.
You know, these two other guys brought this show.
They saw him in Green Bay.
They didn't see him in Philly.
And all you know, hey was nasty.
Yeah, well, and you know the battles that your fellow lineman John running had with Michael Strahan.
How happy were you? He played mostly over there, Not up against your was scattered straight ahead. ****.
He could get it just like anybody else.
E You know what I'm saying? Like I mean, you know, do not listen now.
During my time, though, I didn't see anybody like I wasn't. You know.
You know now, where's your white was something different, you know, but anybody else ****, They could get him just like anybody else.
I mean, you know, I didn't, you know, back down from no one, you know.
And that's just the mindset that I took into these games.
Except for when I played Reggie White.
Did you ever come to your side? No, he did not.
I played I was very Yeah, I would like to think so.
He didn't want to come over there and see me. Reggie.
They want that smoke, I No, no.
But now do what? He was an animal that I didn't You know, I just There was so much respect I didn't want I really didn't want to deal with Reggie, but like everybody else, man, when I played, you know, everything care.
I mean, straight hand.
Want to come over there? He could have got some, too. I wouldn't study him.
I was trying to do some research, so I was gonna say the two greatest players I ever watched on defense play was Reggie White and Lawrence Taylor on I'm tryingto when Lawrence Taylor's career ended up.
You know what? This is? The life I I'm on here.
So? So I'm over.
I'm in Hawaii one time for the Probo and I bump in the Lawrence telling somewhere, man, and we're chopping it up.
And Lawrence tell like, Oh, man, I would have beat you for 56 I like ****.
Lord man, listen, you better, Lawrence.
I would beat the **** out of you, Lawrence.
And so when you sitting up there talking trash to each other, and it was it was a good conversation having a fun, You know? I like Lawrence.
You like they're playing with guys that were blocking with the elbows.
Man, you don't wanna see none of me, you know? And like, we're just going back and forth.
It was a good time.
I nightmares as a child.
About two people ready on Lawrence Taylor.
They gave me nightmares as a child s way.
Had a good back and forth.
But I said, I wanna thank you, Trey, for coming on.
You know, break breaking it down for us, Giving us a lot of knowledge, giving us your stories.
Um, you know, everyone can check out tray tales from the blind side, which is on YouTube Episode dropped yesterday Episode nine uh, with Jamal, Jamal Jackson, your former team mate, and Todd Harriman's uh, it's courtesy of inside the Birds, and you also do the the pregame show with them as well.
Um, you know, it's great.
Great breakdown with with Geoff Mosher, Kaplan and, um, Greg Cosell.
So you know, I always love listening to it all your knowledge.
It's it's great for us as football fans to, you know, get a little bit more football.
Listening to guys like you, you got, you got, you got to get back on the sideline.
That's what I wanna dio gold.
That's the ultimate goal.
I gotta get back in the coach because right now, man, yeah, right now I'm just having fun with the entertainment side of it.
But I definitely want to get back in the coach, and that's that's definitely something I don't work.
Yeah, yeah, we absolutely say it.
But E said again, I'm just a kid in a candy store when I do this show e.
But I said, Just can't keep your eyes.
I will be posting more videos.
I'll try and find some more of you.
I know you don't like watching too much from your playing days, but maybe I'll try and find.
Gotta find the Bruce Smith.
You know what for? You know what? Yeah, I paint you paint all the time, man.
E gotta canvass over there that I've been working on for a couple of days and I e just took my first guitar lesson today, so that was cool.
So, yeah, just wait to get back from the sidelines.
That's that's the real goal.
Yeah, I gotta get back to coaching, because, I mean, that would be a good you get.
Dan Orlovsky is the offensive coordinator, and you get trade.
Thomas is the line I good tandem to start with E no critic.
You know, I'm on the Luis Rid**** bandwagon.
We make a great GM, especially for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Thank you very much.
All right. Sounds good, man.
Y'all take your listeners.
Alright, cool man. Appreciate it, man. Thanks for having me.
It was great having tray on, you know, give us some stories to lots of insight.
Lots of lots of Really.
I took so many notes, my notes I spilled my beer on it so they're not very legible right now.
But you know, a lot of great notes somewhere on here, so that you know, he's riel.
I would say you have a question.
He'll tell you how he really feels.
I would say, Listen, I'm w today I would say he was ripping the ones.
The ones critics today.
Uh, Martin Reese.
I would say that if he felt that went was getting, uh, raw ended the deal, especially the way that often the line is playing and not holding a protection up front and the play calling like who the hell calls a freaking path play.
He brought the point about the same thing.
How everyone's blaming the safety on went, but who the hell calls the past play? And when you're freaking deep in your end zone E se trade does a tremendous job breaking everything down when it comes.
Thio the Eagles in the NFL so you can catch him on W I p inside the Birds pregame show.
And I think that's the postgame show with W I. P as well.
Yeah, hashtag French talk.
And if you guys want to get into maybe 10 minutes talking a little bit about Seattle.
Are you like a lox, then? Yeah, absolutely.
Crap. But I don't really have anything for you.
Like a lox, but, yeah, we'll get into it.
We'll get into it.
I can't actually.
Look on the I guess.
I guess the sportsman sites spammed up here in New York.
So I haven't been able to pull up the lines on the game, so Yeah, but, uh, like, yeah with, you know, looking looking at Seattle and everyone talks about their defense and how the defense is.
This may be the time where the Eagles offense can get out of their shell.
But we've been saying that for the last two or three weeks. We said it with Dallas.
We said it with the Giants.
We said it with no Myles Garrett, all the Eagles, the Eagles offense.
But he goes office has not shown us anything in terms of getting out of their own way and foreign the turnovers that they're doing.
And I feel Seattle's defense is starting to turn a little bit, because remember, they have Carlos Dunlap now.
They got snacks, Harrison.
And you know Jamal Adams.
They start to get healthier.
I understand they still struggle.
Their secondary still struggle.
But what what really gives nothing gives you confidence.
Eagles offense is gonna be able to do anything, because if you run the ball, they then go ahead and start passing It.
Fulfills mentioned it.
He goes, Oh, there's gonna pass the ball 40 times in which they did last week.
It's not it's not.
It's not gonna matter what our offense does this week, whether they score points or if they have a successful day against the Seattle defense, I would say our our defense is gonna get torched on Monday.
Uh, say the fact that they go up against DK half Tyler Lockett and Russell Wilson.
That trio right there, 17 touchdown catches, eight for Lockett, nine for Medcalf as the ending 11 games and a question, and again that Vontae Maddox had last week.
Just just expect.
Expect career days from both of those dudes.
Thio on Monday, when they face this Eagles deeper.
I mean, he's got almost 3000 yards already through 11 games of the season, but on the flip side of the equation, like Johnny saying with the defense I wrote down every single game, the passing yards that the Seahawks have given up.
4 34 3 97 4, 61 3.
12 year. The 2 48.
Then you went 3 60 to 99 3 86 the last two weeks to 83 2 53.
So the defense is finally last couple weeks figuring it out.
But, like you said, there's no conferences.
This Eagles team could put it up.
I mean, we say Metcalfe and Locking have 17 combined touchdowns.
How many touchdowns there's are wide receiver corps? How many touchdown passes? Carson Wentz, period.
You know, I mean, e mean, it's there's no track record, and I always say everything about a track record.
There's no track record proving that the Eagles can keep up, that the Eagles can put up any offensive you know, points in this game and that they could stop them.
There's just no track record.
Their e think the Eagles have only put up 35 points, I think twice the last two seasons or something like that.
And I think you're wrong in 10 games.
Yeah, I said, Well, no.
Uh oh, yeah, that's right.
But yeah, I would say the one game this year, what was against Baltimore Steelers or whatever is like the one time they appointed.
Yeah, they put up that many points.
So the this offense is just so in the image.
I don't have it.
I don't care how bad it depends is And okay, the fact that our offensive line is playing as bad as they are, it's not gonna matter.
I'll say the only way the Eagles win this football game and have any chance of winning it is through the run game.
I'll say they're not to rely heavily.
They don't dio which they don't dio.
I'll say, Look at the second half last week, they like chips brought up in the postgame show they had.
I think 89 total rushes the whole second half.
I'll say they're gonna have to keep.
They're gonna have to keep the Seattle defense on edge.
They have to control the tempo of the game, move the ball on the ground and occasionally need a big play from once here and there.
But make sure hasn't turned the ball over.
I was that's what cost in that game last week.
I'll say the turnovers.
I would say that in the first two professions, I'll say if those those turnovers don't happen, that was That was a huge momentum swing.
So I'll say it's going.
It's they have to.
They have to play some good ball, hang onto the ball and control the clock.
Yeah, and yeah, exactly.
Control the ball, Play an absolute perfect game, Get it, get it, take away or to its.
But unfortunately, it's what they have to do.
And we haven't seen it all this year.
And are we going to see it? I really don't think so.
I'm I'm going to be very optimistic, and they're really think that they're gonna come about and they're gonna turn around. They're gonna turn around.
There's only so much it Z like you guys said on the post game.
So what's the definition of insanity doing or saying the same thing over and over again? Expect different results.
I could say that.
I think they're gonna get it.
They're gonna do, you know, play well Exactly.
Look what chip says 1996 in the first half, yet six for 10 in the second, and it's not like you were down big, so but I just don't know.
And I'm not expecting, um and yeah, you could say all that You need to win if you do a shootout, But this team can't Can't do anything on the office side of the ball to even be close to, you know, competing in a shootout.
So, um, you know it z gonna be tough.
You got an M v p candidate, Russell Wilson and D.
K. Metcalf and lock it.
It's gonna be a tough game is gonna be very tough game.
Um, but if you guys wanna get, we could get into the locks, you talk about, then we'll go.
You like locks, and then we'll do our final prediction, which I'm pretty sure we know.
All three of us are gonna go, but getting it to locks will win 47 to 7, right? Yeah, but be six in the last, like, five or six meetings, So it's not happening, bro.
All right, Well, Jeff Jeff, then then then Jeff, you lead us off with your three.
You're kidding me, right? So Alright, then I'll g o You guys were rambling on about nothing.
So I got Washington on Thanksgiving.
Is one of my locks there plus three against Dallas on Thanksgiving? Washington is the best team in the division, in my opinion.
Eso what? Alex Smith, My boy Alex Smith in that 1 1.
5 legs is gonna lead that team to a division title at this point.
Yeah, I picked him in the preseason to be the scariest team or the upstart team where, where Jeff went to the Giants, I said Washington riverboat Ron will win on Thanksgiving, not just cover the three points they win. That came out right.
So my second game coming off of the close loss against the Chiefs, I got the Las Vegas Raiders beating the Falcons minus there, minus three.
So I got that is a lock, and I got Seattle covering the 5.
5 points on Monday night against the Eagles.
Almost seems obvious, which means I'm gonna be wrong, and I'm actually hoping I'm wrong on that game.
So that's a good game.
But I got Seattle covering the 5.
5 points against the Eagles.
Uh, I was thinking about that game.
I didn't go that route last week.
All of all, three of us went one and two on our picks.
So to update, um, I don't want enough.
Jeff is 15 and 18.
I'm 15, 17 and one, and you are 12 and 21 on den in the scene That proves that Yeah.
And the, uh, the season long predictions.
Uh, Jeff went seven and seven last week, his first bad week and probably a whole entire year.
I went six and eight, and then Fill actually had the best one trying to catch up, picking all the ones opposite Went nine and five.
So Jeffs, 1101 53 1.
I'm 96 58 1, and Phil is 90 for 60 and one.
So going on with locks, I have Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving night, minus five against Baltimore.
Baltimore is gonna be missing nose tackle.
One of their they have four or five guys were Cove, especially both the running backs J K.
Dobbins Marketing room.
I feel Pittsburgh stays undefeated.
Um, Notre when I took the Las Vegas as well, going against bad Atlanta team, Um, the minus three.
So I got lost Las Vegas there.
And then I went to New Orleans minus 5.
5 against Denver.
Um, I guess you could say I'm believing a little bit And Taysom Hill, but I just don't think Denver is very good.
So even taste milk and have a bad game and still win that in 5.
5 of fevers low.
Hey, they knocked out to last week.
So they made hair recently against Miami last week.
Yeah, yes, but, uh, my three.
I am going to go e I am not prepared as usual.
Yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I have going on going on Buffalo Bills minus 5.
5 over the Chargers bills minus.
So I have to write this down because my wife complains I don't send it to hers for the article.
So my apologies on, then I am gonna go Giants minus 5.
5 over the Bangles with no Joe Burrow.
I don't feel that Bangles offense is gonna do anything.
Who's there? Even their backup quarterback.
I don't even think that's that's exactly my point.
Getting your backups.
That's not good on, I would say the driver playing a lot better ball right now.
They're in contention for the division.
Surprisingly, even though Phil wants to trash my pick on that, everybody is in contention for the division.
You can't bash if they win that division.
I'm gonna I'm gonna laugh.
I e with division and the Giants just so that you're wrong on that one.
Then I am gonna go Rams minus seven over the 40 Niners Rams are playing some good ball right now.
That was a great football game, actually, last night, it was very good.
Brady did not shake God's hand.
You know, of course, he's a sore loser.
Yeah, complete total sore loser.
So play in the Super Bowl.
You shake their hand. Yeah.
So get into our final prediction, our game predictions that we're gonna have for Monday night's match up.
I'm gonna make it quick.
Uh, I just the way the team has been playing, I can't put any type of confidence or hope that they're going to turn it around.
I understand that their undefeated on night games primetime games they haven't lost yet this year.
But for some reason, I just have ah lot of the 2000 and fought Ryan Finley, NC State.
I have a lot of the 42 in 2000 and five.
You know the envision now.
Carson Wentz isn't Mike McMahon, but Eagles will score some points, but I have the Eagles losing 34 to 17.
I just don't think that the defense could slow down Russell Wilson and that offense, and they're not gonna be able to put it up, put up enough points to be able Thio compete with Seattle.
I mean, I'm right there with you.
I almost wanted to g o like, even higher than this, just because I had literally zero confidence in the in the Eagles, you know, stop them more.
So I mean, I I have a little bit for some random reason conference that maybe Carson and the team could score on this offense or on the Seahawk Stevens just because they're not that good.
The defense of Seattle.
But I'm just gonna keep pretty close to you.
I'm going 37 17 Seattle.
I just I mean, I almost wanted to go, like, 45 or something like that, but we're gonna keep it to 37 17.
Some pride from the fourth stringers.
When they come in, you know, you know, save the day.
I'll say there's no doubt about I would say we suck Where a bad football team way.
Seattle always has our number.
Russell Wilson is M v P candidate right now, and unfortunately, I just don't see us competing with them to out.
Despite the inefficiencies to Seattle's defense, Uh, our defense is gonna get torched, so I'm gonna have this one.
I feel like I feel like my the women get embarrassed.
We're gonna put a 40 burger on us.
I feel 41 to 20.
I'll say Seattle, of course, you gotta even score more. The Eagles. Good, good.
At least someone's positive here, you know, before we wrap it up, you know, speaking positive and talking about Trey Thomas, which it was great to have one.
Like you said he he just says, you know, he speaks the truth and and the one thing that I wrote down out of all the things I wrote down that stood out, Who's the one guy on our coaching ranks? Well, one of the two or three guys.
There's always praised nonstop on this team.
Not do Staley the next most praised guy, Jeff Scotland.
And he criticized Jeff Scotland.
He says, Jeff, Scotland does not teach protections well enough, and that is part of the issue now.
I don't know if that's him, like interviewing for the job and trying to say, Yo, you know, get rid of Jeff Statler and bring me in.
But it was It was It was interesting to hear somebody that everybody Yeah, I'll admit I don't I don't know.
Offensive line technique.
I could break down, you know, your plays.
But I don't I don't know.
Offensive line technique.
It was great to see someone bring a different perspective to the Jeff Stotland conversation, who everybody widely says It's the greatest coach you know of all time, you know? I mean, offensive lineman wise.
So it was interesting, and I just want to throw out a couple.
