Let's dive into an exciting game.
27 to 20 for the Rams defeat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.
So exciting game.
I want to hear your guys is initial thoughts before we dive into stats before we dive into everything that we think individually for players.
I just want to hear your initial thoughts on how the game went, what you thought about it and as ah, whole, I'll start with you, Matt, and let me know how you thought about the game, how I thought about the game.
I thought it was a fantastic win by the Los Angeles Rams.
I mean, you're talking there in a very tough division in the NFC West, Seahawks being seven and three being the Cardinals on Thursday, they fell to six and four.
This is a game where if the Rams wanted to be in competition for the NFC West, they had to win this game and they simply got the job done.
You know, this was a fantastic win by the Rams as a whole.
They're now seven and three, and it puts the pressure on the Seahawks now to try and get the job done.
So I'll even stated again was a fantastic win by the Rams.
They were able to get pressure on Brady and made him uncomfortable.
So fantastic with the Rams.
What do you think about the game? I missed the first half because I was doing an interview, but just watching the second, I was impressed the way the defense really showed up in the second half, Uh, but it just it wasn't enough.
And, yeah, right.
Like Matt said, with the Rams getting the big win, they're in the toughest division in the NFL.
They just wanted it more absolutely.
And it's funny because I'm a Cowboys fan, as everybody knows, and I'm watching the NFC East.
I'm watching the fact that the Cowboys were still in there with three wins and then you have a team here that we're saying this is a must win for them and their seven and three.
It is so funny because I'm so used toe such a poorer quality of NFL football this year and I've it sucks because I'm, like, come accustomed to it now to like I feel like such a loser.
I'm like, just so like Oh, it's we want.
Like, yesterday I had to find the excitement in me again.
I was weird, but Um, yeah, let's get right to it.
With what you guys thought about Jared Goff and Tom Brady, because really, there was no running game.
I mean, I'll pull out some stats really quick before we dive into the quarterbacks to tell you about the lack of run game.
We had 37 total rush yards for the Rams and 42 total rush yards for the Buccaneers.
We're looking at 75 yards total, rushing the whole game from both teams.
So absurd that we saw such a shootout.
Obviously Rams Buccaneers.
It's not too outlandish to think that with Brady with golf with McVeigh.
You know you can expect to shoot out, but I mean, Ronald Jones.
We're running the rock pretty well.
You have no idea who's gonna be there running back.
They have three guys that can go out and start at any time with Brown, Henderson and Acres.
And to see this little production with run game really actually surprised me quite a lot.
And I'm sure everyone that owns those players in fantasy football are feeling freaking awful tive and that one off.
So let's so obviously I chimed on the run game.
Let's talk about this air raid game.
Obviously, let's start with Jared Goff and the victorious Rams.
I'll start with you for this one.
Thoughts on Jared Goff through over 50 passes? Um, you know, I had a good game.
I mean through a couple of pics, but I mean, had a good game.
So what do you think about Jared Goff in that past game? He was just impressive all day.
The Buccaneers defense is nothing to laugh at.
They have a very solid d.
Uh, Aaron's has done a really good job of putting all the pieces around Brady toe.
Make it a winning team, and they just they aren't getting it done.
But golf let him up.
I mean, 376 yards is an insane amount of yards together with the passing game.
When you have a a reputation as a defensive team, E.
I mean 39 completions against a team like that.
You know, 39 for 51.
I'll take that completion percentage any day like you mentioned over 375 yards.
Three touchdowns, obviously have those two picks, but I mean golf is playing pretty Well, I'm gonna ask Matt.
What do you think about Jared Goff Before we move on to the receivers, I feel like Jared Goff at a phenomenal performance.
This was the kind of performance Jared Goff needed to.
I mean, do I think he's in the M V P race? No, but I think this was a game where golf needed to prove that he could win the big game.
Because people looked at the Rams before this game by six and three and like, Okay, you know, there's six and three, but what was really their big win e.
I mean, they're made big win was against Seattle, but other than that, they didn't really have that solid win this win right here on Monday night.
This was a statement win, and with how golf played, shows that even if their run game is struggling, even if they can't get anything going on the run, they could rely on Jared Goff, too, to pull to pull magic out the hat.
And you also have to give credit to shop McVeigh as well.
He set up Jared Goff first success.
I mean, I can't wait toe, discuss Cooper Cup because Cooper Cup had a fantastic game and he he is good, potentially at his name up and one of the one of the better receivers in the NFL who's not really talked about E.
We've got Anthony jumped in here.
Anthony, Connie Chats. Look at the gang.
Look at you, bro. Look at the gang. Look atyou, bro.
Looking great, like So we're gonna talk right now about Cooper Cup because Matt asked us to.
11 receptions, 145 yards.
Like Come the **** on, bro.
Like that's absurd.
And before we talk about him, let's talk about his his teammate Robert Woods, who had 12 catches, 130 yards a touchdown with 15 targets.
That's a combined 28 targets between two wide receivers.
Talk about fantasy football relevancy.
If you're gonna draft a receiver, you look for targets and opportunities.
So I mean, obviously the two of them are amazing.
You know, we had this debate Ah, couple of years ago.
I don't think we can have the debate Still, because we don't see this consistent production, but rank Cooper Cup and Robert Woods in regards to wide receiver duos.
Are they the best? Or who would you say is Thea Undeniable Number one do All right now in the league.
The either of you, I'll start off first.
I think the number one duo in the league, when healthy, is probably Mike Evans and Chris Godwin out of the Buccaneers.
But I will say Cooper Cup and Robert Woods are definitely up there with potential duos in the NFL.
I mean, you got Evans Godwin, Probably in Kansas City.
You got Hill and Kelsey.
Uh, maybe in San Francisco.
Maybe you got Kittel and maybe Deebo Samuel as a duo.
That's if that's if you're counting tight ends, though, you know, I mean, obviously tightened.
The positions evolved, so they are almost more like wider.
So I'm more talking just straight on the outsides.
Or or the slot, of course, just wide receivers.
A lot of teams have good tight ends, of course, and I think that's a different dimension.
But just off wide receiver doing, why don't you, for one wide receiver to who is the best? I agree with you, I think with the Bucks when healthy Godwin and Mike Evans.
But is there anyone else that you can think of either of you that would probably top the skill of these two players, if not the consistent production? E.
I forgot about Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.
That's a That's a good one.
Good 112 punch when healthy.
When Thomas is actually fool off the field and Emmanuel Sanders contributes, you could put them up there.
But it's a very hard list, especially with the kind of performance that cup and Woods put up like thes air.
Almost one a one B receivers like If you put Cooper Cup on any other team, you could potentially be a number one receiver.
Oh, absolutely, absolutely.
Well, I think you gotta look at the stat line for the receiving for Los Angeles because and it comes back toe the Tampa Bay defense breaking down because you've got cup in Woods and then the next guy in line had four catches for 27 yards or three for 32.
I mean, the drop off is just ridiculous.
Tampa Bay had two guys to shut down, and they couldn't do it. Absolutely.
E think that speaks a lot to and they didn't have a tight end helping them out.
They didn't have anybody coming out of the backfield making catches.
Those two guys were just going out and getting open.
And this was a breakout game for Cup.
Hey, just he made guys look silly tonight.
And to be honest with Cup, I mean, if we were talking last year, I would have expected this.
But with Robert Woods, he's probably the most.
He's not ***y at all.
Nobody talks about how Robert Woods is super flash year, this number one.
But is there a more consistent guy over the last 23 years than Robert Woods? Not a lot of guys there really is less than you probably think above Robert Woods.
If you look at this to taste this, which we don't have in front of us for the last two years by I, Robert Woods is the epitome of consistency, and when Cooper Cup went down with that injury for a while, it was not Brandon cooks.
That was that guy.
It was not Reynolds.
It was not Gerald Everett like it was Mr Robert Woods and And he's Mr Elahi went Thio.
USC played calcium.
Um, you know, now he's here of the new Ram Stadium.
So I see him finishing his career out there.
I know that's a long time, but, um, it's it's cool to see that guy.
So let's let's move on to the Bucks.
And let's talk about Tom Brady to start off.
Obviously, already mentioned the lack of run game Jones 10 for 24 for net seven for 17, both of them 2.
4 yards and carried for net was dropping every past that Brady was throwing to him.
It was really bad.
The running backs didn't do a thing for Tom Brady and Bruce Arians side.
So let's focus on Brady for a second.
I'm seeing online Tom Brady's Washed.
I'm seeing all of these things.
I'm curious initial reaction from both you guys for Tom Brady and the seven and four Buccaneers.
Let's start with Matt and you give me yours.
I was definitely disappointed.
I did kind of throw a little jab in the chat when Brady overthrew in that last pic.
I'm like, nice pass coat, you know, just a little.
A little fun, fun jab.
But Tom Brady did.
Did not look good.
His age definitely showed in this game.
I mean, 26 of 48.
That's almost less than 50%.
That's that. That's unacceptable.
And two touchdowns, two picks and only 216 yards that.
That's not a recipe for success, especially with the Saints having such a fantastic record at eight and two.
It's not like, you know, it was only a half game separation.
Know that this is now is not almost a two game separation.
And when you've already lost to the Saints twice, this is This is a game where you have to count, especially when they gotta vs Chiefs next week.
They have to versus Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium.
And the way how the Buccaneers played on this Monday night tonight.
No way they're beating those chiefs.
I mean, you saw you saw Robert Woods and Cooper Cup slice and dice that passing that past secondary.
Imagine what Tyree kill Michael Hardman and Travis Kelsey.
We're gonna dio.
It's funny because Todd Bowles has done a really good job with this defense this year, So this thing was crazy? Yes.
I mean, I will say the front four for the Buccaneers is legit.
I mean, you gotta dominance.
They're They're They're very legit front, You know, they were able to stop the run for the Rams, but for a defense, you gotta be able to stop the run and the past, not one over the other.
Trust me, I watched the Packers and we could stop the past, but not the run.
I mean, I see it on a daily basis, but this was this'll was a game where if the Buccaneers wanted a chance to win the division, they had to get this game and they simply did it.
Didn't get the job done, you know, Now they got to get prepared for Kansas City next week.
Their schedule is easy the rest of the season.
I mean, you play the Falcons twice, Vikings and Lions after the chief, so that you could very well see 11 and five.
But I don't think that's enough toe win the division and knowing how stacked the NFC is, I mean, Tampa Bay.
They could very well be 1/5 seed going into the playoffs with Tom Brady as a quarterback.
And who knows? And you given Sunday.
If some NFC East team wins the division, they got a host of playoff games.
So Tampa Bay's gotta travel on the road.
Crazy things have happened.
I mean, we look at even in the past 2011, the Seahawks were seven and nine.
They won the division.
And what happened? Beast Quake happened, and they upset the defending champion who won the ST So anything is possible.
But relating to this game, this was just disappointment for Tampa Bay.
I mean, when you have Tom Brady, who's one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, you just expect Ah lot Mawr performance, especially when he has all the weapons.
Like now in Tampa, there's no excuse New England.
Last year he had an excuse because Gronk retired and they didn't really have any weapons.
Now it's like you had a healthy Godwin healthy. Evans.
You had Antonio Brown.
You got everything and yet you throw two picks and barely complete over 50% of your passes.
This that this was no excuse, and this was just simply a tough loss for for the Buccaneers and you could almost pencil in the division heading to the New Orleans Saints.
I disagree because breezes out right now so you can't pencil anything in.
But, Garrett, let me ask you your opinion, and we'll get to that in a second.
Taysom Hill did play extremely well, so let's not get that twisted.
It's a lot up in the air right now with this division.
Gara. Give me your opinion.
Well, well, I kind of took a shot at County earlier because he said that Tom Brady needed Thio blitz Boys.
He said that fun taking shots of, you know, no hard feelings County.
I think you're great.
But hey said that Tom Brady was gonna have to put the team on the back and lead him to a win tonight.
And I said, If Tom Brady Times tries to put the team on the back, his Walker's gonna break.
Andi, I think you saw that tonight.
Obviously, he doesn't actually have a walker and didn't break, but both those interceptions looked horrible.
Only 216 yards when they couldn't get any production out of the run and they only gave up one sack, which I understand that they did a good job of keeping him uncomfortable.
But if you only let Brady get sacked one time, you expect him to have a 253 100 yard game and be put in points up.
And yeah, and I said, I don't know if it was miscommunication with the receivers if the receiver wasn't where you thought they were gonna be or if it was just a bad throws.
But both those picks, I mean on Twitter.
They were making a big deal about the number 199 draft pick picking off Brady twice.
And it's like all the guy did was stand there like, I mean props to him for getting the two picks and not dropping the ball, but literally.
All he did was stand there and let the ball come to.
It was, it was it was nothing crazy.
I mean, Brady really was floating a lot of passes up there today.
That's something I saw.
It's that and Tom Brady has a good offensive line like let's get that really straight.
The Buccaneers have a very good offensive line, if not top five, like they've been keeping them up all year.
They've been blocking for Rojo and for net all year.
This was a rarity to see them have nothing in the run game to see Brady not have time, even though you mentioned didn't get sacked once, He had pressure all day, but the old line held up.
I mean, he wasn't in the ground too much, But at the same time, Brady was releasing the ball way too quickly in the second half, especially because the Rams got to him.
You obviously saw that.
I mean, you got Aaron.
You were mentioning the defensive front for the Buccaneers, and it is legit.
But I mean, the Rams is more legit.
You got Aaron Donald, who's the best line linemen of all time, You know, let's like, let's already fast forward.
Just like how Pat Mahomes is already the best quarterback of all time.
And people feel silly to say that because it's way too early.
Aaron Donald's already the but I mean in the statistics already are there for Donald.
It's ****ing re****ed.
So but for Donald, at the end of the day, you have him there.
You have Michael brokers.
You have all types of talent.
That's they're pressuring the quarterback.
And at the end of the day, Brady is not the best under pressure.
Corey was saying it really well in the group chat.
He's not good under pressure anymore, just like any quarterback.
When they have an open pocket, they have all the time in the world.
Usually they succeed.
And when you start to get any pressure, that's when they start to get flustered.
It's on Lee, the superstars at the top of their game that are able to make plays regardless.
And, I mean, it's clear that Brady is not at the top of his game anymore.
He's in his forties.
It's ridiculous that he's been able to beat Father time for so long and that he's still the quarterback of a seven and four team.
And the stats aren't atrocious.
He's not Carson Wentz.
Let's not get this twisted.
He's not Carson Wentz right now, where every pastor like Oh, God, it's just Jalen hurts season.
The guy hates football like you could see it.
He's just like, get me out of here like I hate my life.
Like imagine being like that and every plays a fumble or interception like Daniel Jones last year, even this year.
But Brady is not like that.
Brady still got it.
It's just people like to pick on the best when he throws up that four.
When it looks like it's fourth down that one week against the Bears, when he's on the ground way.
Love to clown, the guy's a Nauta Matic champion.
So when we see someone struggle, I mean, you want to see an underdog? Would you want to see equality in the Lee? You know, you want to see the power shift back, so I mean, everyone that's not a Patriots fan or a Tom Brady fan, obviously, is rooting not for the demise, but just for a tale.
I just bring it down a little bit back to reality, so it's not like they're here.
Let's bring it back to reality a little bit.
I think that's what we're seeing here.
It is back to reality.
He's playing like any other quarterback in the league, and he started.
He is definitely deserving of a starting role in this league.
He's definitely ableto win you games.
His I Q alone most of the time is gonna win you games.
But I mean, he's in his forties, coming down the second.
He gets hit too hard.
That's no longer the golden boy who's ready toe take on the world, no matter what.
I mean, he's looking to his left in his right.
Like I don't wanna have this be the last play of my career with Aaron Donald blowing me up Like I I feel that and you could see it's it's hike.
Let me look for the check down for net and for nets like I don't know what this football is, and then he drops it.
And so it was obvious that Tom Brady, with pressure, isn't doing too straight and what you're going to see in the playoffs.
I'm assuming decent defense is at the least different unless you're playing the Seahawks.
So, yeah, I mean, over the Cowboys.
If they win the division somehow you could throw in the Packers in that run defense.
I mean, but you're gonna see pressure.
You're gonna see intensity playoffs.
People come out.
And if Brady's getting shook against the bears, forgetting what down it is if he's throwing lollipops against the Rams, you know, midway through the year when it comes down to crunch time, it doesn't give me that confidence that Brady's got another one in the bag of this year not saying that he can't win it.
This is a good team.
Maybe they gel together.
But don't don't say Brady's got this.
You know it's not the goat who's who's going to carry.
He's the goat, Absolutely, But he's not playing like it right now.
E put a little bit of levity and do it.
I saw very good quote from Tom Brady's wife was making the rounds around Twitter tonight.
I can't remember what season it was from both throwing.
It was with the Patriots not doing so good.
It said she Somebody asked her about his performance, and she said, Well, you can't throw the ball and catch it, too, which he did do that tonight.
So with the bat down, that was the first time.
That was one of the craziest place I've ever seen.
Throw the ball, bat it back and then catch it.
However, the ball came throw it back and then for the fact that they actually declined the penalty.
So that play actually counted.
Technically, yeah, well, like I don't understand that the account has a fumble that the receiver recovered or since they declined, the penalty that counters a completed path completed paths and okay, it was fourth down.
It was fourth down.
Yeah, so it was crazy.
But so let's let's hear what you guys think about the receiving corps for the Buccaneers.
Because, obviously, like Matt mentioned, you got all the weapons in the world.
You got like five Ferraris parked in the driveway, so let's talk about them.
Obviously, Mike Evans made one of the most intense place I've ever seen in my life getting that touchdown.
That was the most grown man play I've seen all season all season.
I don't care who it is.
No one's no one's Big ****.
The game, the way that he big **** that play, I'll tell you that.
Um, Antonio Brown.
He's in the game.
We got Godwin Gronkowski for Net Jones break.
That's everyone that saw a target today.
So let's let's hear your thoughts.
Start with Garrett about the receiving corps in general.
If their performances today, you know what's going on with them.
Well, the Ella's defense just ate him up.
I mean, I know Tampa Bay was able to put up points yet, but you take Brown, Goodwin and Evans the top three receivers and they barely beat the top receiver for the L.
A. With yardage total.
Nobody went over 60 yards.
Nobody had 10 catches.
Yeah, I mean, it was Ben, Don't break and, yeah, they gave up some points, but really, it's from this.
Yeah, with Gronkowski, Evans, Godwin and Brown out there, you really expect a lot more production out of the receiving court? Absolutely, absolutely.
And I mean for that's not helping.
Obviously, drops aren't helping, but we mentioned a lot of these plays were not catchable balls and check downs.
So Matt, let me hear what you think about the receiving court. If they're in trouble.
I would say I was definitely disappointed in the receiving corps.
I wouldn't say they're in trouble yet.
I mean, they still got a lot of time before the season's ends.
I mean, you got next week against the Chiefs, you got a week 13 by and then 14 through 17, so you got time to gel before the playoffs.
But my personal opinion is, how are they gonna do in the playoffs? Because obviously Tampa is gonna be in the postseason.
You know, the people shouldn't be crazy and say, Oh, Tampa's gonna miss the playoffs, Know that they're going to make the playoffs.
You know they have Tom Brady at the helm, but I would I would get worried if they struggle against some of the bad teams.
Like if they struggle against the Falcons twice or if they struggle, I think they play the Detroit Lions.
If they struggle in those games, that's when I hit the panic button.
But this is a good Rams team.
This is a good Rams defense.
I mean, you've got Donald on the front, and then you got one of the best corners in the league and Jalen Ramsey.
So you're obviously going to struggle.
But, you know, this is a game where the the Bucks just have to say, you know what, play tough.
We just didn't have enough on on the Kansas City.
And I also want to hear Perry.
You said Aaron Donald was one of the Did you say he was the greatest uh, already already already think he's the greatest lineman talent wise of all time? I don't know.
I would say I think the minister of Defense, Reggie White and and lt would like a word with that.
But that Z just nostalgia.
Looking at a whole cruise, I will give Eren e another decade in him.
Yeah, he's still up there.
But if e I was wondering E.
Donald, if Donald gets the ring, it could be up there with one of the greats of all time, but he is. He is up.
I'm not saying he's not one of the greatest, but let me let me let me know.
How would a ring define if a defensive lineman is the greatest of all time? Skill wise, We're talking, You're talking.
I'm just I'm just saying, I'm just saying if this isn't a quarterback where you're comparing that, this is a defensive lineman, I'm going to keep it real with you.
Rings don't mean a thing.
If we're comparing defensive, they win.
That one defensive lineman did not win that ring whatsoever, while a quarterback absolutely should be judged by rings.
But if we're talking defensive lineman, let's talk statistics and still I have compares to also also, actually, you gotta think you also have to think the great defensive players all time also have a ring to back it up. Minister of Defense.
He's got the staff, but he also got a ring.
Lawrence Taylor got the stats, but got two rings.
Yeah, he could help his case out.
Matt, I said, the most skilled defensive lineman of all time.
Not with the most decorated, celebrated, long tenured defensive lineman of all time.
Blessed with good teams.
I said the most skilled.
He's already back to back defensive player of the year, Pro Bowl and almost every season, every season he's been it.
I'm just saying I don't wanna hear the ring.
I don't wanna hear the ring.
He's even They went.
You went to a Super Bowl To all of the thing.
Is he that the ring has nothing to do with a defensive lineman? Let's talk about E skill wise.
Reggie White was definitely up there.
I mean, I saw him forklift.
What was it was Alan.
Uh, I'm sure it's just Aaron.
Aaron Donald trains with knives.
His drills air with knives the guy's a different beast like there's just like how no one's even been close to a skilled is Pat Mahomes is as a quarterback because times have changed.
No one's. Even I will.
Evolution of men like it's not even Reggie White's far any of them.
The fact that Aaron Donald can look at the way he looks and be as fast as he is is not possible in there, because the evolution of medicine is just It's on Donald Side.
Everyone will say, Aaron, Donald is our our version of the Lawrence Taylor, just from a behemoth of a man like freaking nature.
He's our modern day Lawrence Taylor.
I will give you that.
But I'm just saying also like it.
Adding accolades would help skill wise, he's for sure.
I'm not questioning that, but he adds it.
It just helps this case.
Of course it's early, and that's for the Hall of Fame case.
You're right without a ring that goes in the Hall of Fame.
I'm just talking about most skilled defensive players of all time, especially defensive lineman, and they ain't got **** to do with that ring.
Unless this defensive unit they didn't give them that recur unless it was the 85 Bears.
Yeah, that's a unit.
They were a unit.
It wasn't the one defensive climate, you know, But I get what you're saying.
I like the big L.
I like the occupy Paris in there because he he's definitely that just menace of a man that we see in our time right now, which is pretty cool toe have.
So, Gary, let me talk. We're talking.
I just I won't give Donald the crown over Reggie White until Donald picks up on the blocker and sacks the quarterback by throwing the blocker into the quarterback from like five yards away.
Just like **** is like flies and jumps on your bag.
Talking about He didn't pick up Zeke and throw him down, though, like opening week, Zeke went up the block and seek pummeled.
E can't remember who the quarterback was, but that's still a great clip.
Reggie White on the outside, one on one, just picks the guy up and throws in five yards into the quarterback first.
It's absurd, and I mean, it's so cool to see how that hard nosed defensive lineman is still a thing, though, because I mean how all sports go.
Everyone gets thinner, everyone gets more agile, everybody gets quicker and to still see guys of that size but still being able to evolve and get quicker.
But the size hasn't taken a hit.
I'm glad to still see, like Mountain of men just like coming at you instead of just tweeners between linebackers and linemen, which in my head I honestly thought five years ago we were just heading closer and closer to everyone, just being a tweener and just slimming down and everyone getting quicker because, I mean, that's what the linebacker position looked like, and I thought it was gonna continue.
But I'm glad to see it still be just beast ball.
You know what I mean? Especially when you see guys like Aaron Donald.
But, I mean, who was it was.
Can't what? I can't remember which game I was watching, but there's a team that for third and long packages they trout out all linebackers and D backs.
They don't even put any d lineman in.
Oh, I totally forgot to.
I know exactly you're talking about that was a good package.
It worked. Yeah.
I can't remember who it was.
I watched a lot of football from blanking.
I know exactly what you're talking about, though.
And that was Oh, ****, I think was the Giants.
I think it was the Giants going all speed, just all speed.
E really think it was the Giants, but, I mean, that's judge trying some cool Belichick kind of style of trickery.
You know what I mean? So any other thoughts on the game? Any other thoughts on the divisions? Obviously, that we let's talk division because I know Matt said, um Buccaneers, Saints.
He was thinking, Saint, they're gonna be a shoeing.
Let's talk about briefly talk about the Saints win and and Taysom Hill Just because it's relevant to the Buccaneers in that division on def we Is there the Panthers in it like, Are we gonna go a Sfar? A saying that? Are we going to say there's two potential wild card teams coming from this division? Is it just one and done without? They're both playing.
What do you guys think? I was very impressed by Taysom Hill.
Uh, not so much the Russian.
You expected him to do that.
But 200 some yards passing I That was very impressive. I think.
I think the Saints had the division just They got two wins against Tampa already.
They're penciled in on the division.
Buccaneers is definitely gonna be in the playoff mix.
I do not think Carolina is Aziz.
Much as I love P.
Walker, I just I don't think it's gonna be enoughto push him into the playoffs.
Yeah, I agree as well.
I think it's gonna be two teams.
Three NFC South.
I make the playoffs.
I'll also going this far saying the NFC West.
I think three teams in the NFC West will make the playoffs on then to close it out, it'll be one of the NFC North, one of the F C East.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised.
Honestly, I was gonna say something similar.
This might be one of those years that we see three teams come out of the same division, obviously the Seahawks and it's crazy.
Let's go back to like that statement of you saying three teams are gonna probably make the playoffs and the 40 Niners are not one of those teams.
They had championship aspirations, and we're talking about them being at the bottom of the vision, meaning that's less of a knock on them and mawr of a compliment to the competitiveness of the division and how crazy it is.
But to think how close the 40 Niners were to a championship and to think that they won't even be making the playoffs this year, but three other teams in the division will probably be doing it.
It is not a clear road for any team in this division for the next five years, at least the foreseeable future every year looks like it's gonna be a dogfight because Russell Wilson's got at least another five years in the tank.
You have the 40 Niners, Shanahan's genius, and they'll continue toe innovate.
So I'm assuming they'll stick around.
They're not gonna be, ah, shoeing by any means.
But they're not gonna be a crap team ever.
They'll they'll figure it out.
And with this team, the Rams, I mean, McVeigh is the one of the youngest coaches in the league.
I am a massive McVeigh guy.
Your core is pretty young.
I mean, at the end of the day.
This is gonna be a five year, year in and year out dogfight between these four teams in this division.
Yeah, and one thing I will say if the NFC East doesn't keep it up.
If they keep on slumping, you might have to consider getting rid of the NFC East as a whole and replace it with the NFC West thing. How dominant.
Yeah, just cancel it way if they have a respectable record, if the NFC East is below 500 even if they won division can't amount.
Put the NFC West and I know Josh Lynn.
Ahrens was talking about it on Blitz Boys earlier.
The fact that the Cowboys Eagles football team or Giants are not only going to make the playoffs but host of first round playoff game like they're gonna go make a team like the Cardinals come and play an away game, which I think is huge.
It stress is an important factor of winning the division like we we've seen.
Like it, for example, in the MBA, one through eight doesn't matter where you see if you get the one seed fantastic, but you know, if you're in the playoffs, that's a great step.
But in the NFL, if you win the division, you have the top four seed and host the playoff game.
Don't matter what your record is.
C s this year, it could very well be 18 wins, five or six games.
When's the division and host the playoff game? And because the answer is the playoffs and you given Sunday, right? Anything.
I mean, look at the Eagles a few years ago with that crazy run, you're right.
And the thing is, with the difference between MBA and NFL is because you want to get that one seed.
Obviously, you wanna lock in home court advantage.
You want to play the weakest team coming in.
But there's no bye week.
There is no here's a free ticket past the first round.
You got to go in there and play, which is why, Matt, it's less important to if I'm the one of the three seed like I gotta go win four games, the Siri's.
If you're in football and you get that first round by that's massive you, that's massive.
So I think for me, I give so much more incentive for NFL teams to compete all the way to the end, not just win the division, but going for the number one seed or two seed.
But I truly think that adds so much more of a dynamic for effort towards the end of the year, then the N ba, which would obviously just get me in there and I'll figure out the rest when it comes NFL still the same.
Get me in there. I'll figure out the rest.
But is there a way I could kind of just fast forward that a little bit? Yes, there is.
You know, definitely.
Especially with now that there's an extra team in the playoffs.
And they got rid of the number two seed having a bye week.
It just dresses.
Now, how important that number one seed really is going to be.
Because could you imagine you get the number two seed in the NFC.
You gotta play the wild card game.
You don't get a Bobby.
This is like in years past, words like, Okay, if we get top two will be in good shape once.
It would be nice, but if we get the two will be okay because we gotta buy? No.
Now it's dresses out.
You gotta take it one through 16 every game.
Like it's like your seasons on the line.
Because if you don't get that one, and especially how competitive the NFC NFC is like we look at the same time.
Eight to Packers seven and three Seahawks 73 g, seven and three bucks, seven and four There, right there for battling for the number one seed.
And whoever gets that number one seed in the NFC is gonna have a good chance toe make it far.
And in this postseason, right? No, I agree. I agree.
What do you think about the divisions? Is there anything locked or I kinda wanna circle back to the 40 Niners here? Second, I was just looking at the standings here, and I mean, they've been plagued by injury, but there have also definitely been plagued by that NFC West division.
I mean, you you put the 40 Niners any of the other three divisions.
I mean, even at four and six, they're leading the east, and I think if you put them in the north of the South there probably six and four and in the playoff mix.
Yeah, they're definitely You're right.
If they're in the NFC East, they're playing the NFC East too.
So they're 100% 6 and four right now, at least E.
So yeah, that just blew my mind.
But as far as the divisions go, pretty sure you can pencil saints and packers and for being division winners the East.
I'm not touching the East with my money with my predictions, anything given that it is just to make me feel better.
Don't feel too good about I mean, yeah, you could.
I mean, I I haven't seen a recent article, but I know like three like either At week, four, week five, it was mathematically possible for a 14 for wind team to win the East.
I don't know if that's still in place, but still to be five weeks into the season.
Have that be possible? It's just No, it's it's possible that Z and then in the West e mean, the Seahawks seemed to have found the defense, so I'd probably look to them to be the most likely division winner out of there.
But I agree with there being three teams out out of the West.
I think that will be and I agree with you.
I agree with you Seahawks at the top, for sure, because I think Russell Wilson, although he's had some struggles lately, Obviously, it's not like he's really been bad, you know, he's just throwing something.
I mean, look, we just say golf had a great game, right? You guys both said that and he threw to pick.
So it's very possible to still have a great game and make some mistakes, which it seems like Russell Wilson does.
Even if he struggles, he still has a good game and keeps them in the game.
But when Russell Wilson is on, he's the best quarterback in the game.
Just cause Mama Holmes's is going is the most skilled quarterback.
But the difference in where they're at in their careers is a very long time, like we're talking rookie and Evette.
Obviously, it's not rookie, but, you know, we're talking that much of a difference a decade, almost so, a skill wise right this second.
For me, it's Russell Wilson, probably Aaron Rodgers, and then you look straight to my homes and if you wanna make my homes as a debate for number one.
I will not fight you on that at all.
But, you know, I'm still when I watch Russell Wilson.
I think he's in the most control.
I think doesn't matter.
He hasn't had a no line in a decade.
He hasn't had reliable receivers in a decade now. He's got DK.
Lockets always been straight, but I mean, he's made everything out of nothing every single year, and he's never got in M V P votes.
So that's where Russell struggles come from his when he's just trying to do it all.
You get that guy, some defensive support and a little bit of a run game and he's unstoppable.
E mean that that's that's their strength and their weakness.
If their defense can show up and they can establish a run, they're going to win.
If the if the other offense can pick apart Seattle's defense and turn it into a shootout and shut down the run, then they're probably gonna lose because Wilson is just gonna be trying to do it all.
Yeah, he definitely is.
And one thing I will say related to the Rams pay attention to Week 16 and 17.
Rams got to play the Seahawks 16, Cardinals 17.
Those two games could decide who wins the NFC West because right now, because as of right now, the Rams are in first place in the NFC West because they beat Seattle in Week 10, so they already have the tiebreaker over overhead.
Even the rest of the ramp schedule.
You got the Niners next week.
I think they could win that game.
So when you got you got the Arizona Cardinals week 13, I will say That's a tossup.
It is in Arizona, But the way how the Rams played this week, that Z the Rams beat Arizona the first time.
No, this will be the first time they play okay. Mm.
I'll give the wraps.
Yeah, so that's that's what, nine and three, you got the Patriots.
I think they beat the Pats.
This isn't the same paths team.
That's 10 and three.
You got the New York Jets.
So it could very well be.
They are 11 and three heading into the link, and it could very well be a potential division matchup Whoever wins that game could be crowned the NFC West champ and could be in the top three conversation with the Saints and the Packers.
And I mean, Arizona could shake that up to, because Kyler Murray is not Drew Brees.
Sorry, Tom Brady.
He's much more mobile.
The pressure does not throw him off near Azaz much.
I mean, the shake Tom Brady up game plan will not work against Arizona.
And the only difference is the fact that the Bucks have more of a traditional run game, usually, and the Cardinals.
I wouldn't consider that a strong run game with Drake and Edmunds, but you saw what the Rams did today with no run game whatsoever.
So you're gonna put it in the hands of Kyler, Murray Hopkins, Christian Kirk, Larry Fitzgerald.
Throw Edmonds, who is a fantastic receiver out of the backfield.
You have, ah lot toe toe work with their and Cliff Kingsbury is a good coach.
Cliff Kingsbury is very McVeigh s like can pull it out of the bag is very creative, utilizes who he has very well.
So I think Cliff and Kyler, or which should be a TV show That sounds pretty cool, and I think that they there, they got a recipe for success for a while.
Let's say they don't make the playoffs this year.
Whatever weird thing that shakes out, they miss it by a little bit.
Should you be discouraged? Not at all.
Did you expect to be here this year? No, You didn't even trading for Hopkins.
I would have still said, This is the Seahawks, the Rams, the 40 Niners and then the Cardinals.
Even if they all finished with a winning record.
It's still the Cardinals as the red headed step child for the four teams there.
And it's not like that they are in this pitch.
And I think Kyler Murray is so elusive and he's so smart.
He slides better than any player that's ever played football in the history of the game.
Because of the fact that he's a baseball player, you watch the guy slide and it almost makes you like tear.
It's that beautiful, like when I watch him slide, I'm like, that's the best thing I've ever seen.
I was like mechanics.
I was like What? No quarterback will ever get hurt ever again, you know and then, But in my head, I'm like, Yeah, the guy is a natural slider because he's just an athletic beast That's a baseball player.
No quarterback is that coordinated? But I mean, if anyone could take a page out of collar, Murray's game learn how to slide from Kyler Murray because that is legit.
And remember that play Hey was A with Hopkins, that deep throw that they beat the Bills on that game, winning Hail Mary.
That doesn't happen if Kyler Murray can't create the time on that play, he scrambled out.
He created over 10 seconds of time for him to create that throw and then gave the best receiver in the game a shot to go catch the ball.
So Kyler Murray is a playmaker.
Calamari is a great player.
I think the Cardinals have a lot of holes, a lot of holes and they're still here.
I think that the more pieces they add, the smarter they get in the draft and free agency.
You have Kyler Marie on a rookie contract for at least another couple of years.
I think I think they win this division next year.
Pretty pretty them in the sea Hawks, I think, run this division next year.
And then whenever rust starts to taper off, that's when you start to see the Seahawks demise.
But, I mean, they got Pete Carroll locked in.
They got rust locked in.
I don't care who plays running back.
D K is a brick wall, even though we dropped a lot of passes.
Last game is still amazing.
Um, but I think it's for me.
It's Seahawks this year, Seahawks next year.
But, I mean, it's not It's not gonna be easy.
Oh, yeah, even even the Seahawks this year, you look at the rest, are scheduled.
It's a very favorable schedule.
You got the Philadelphia Eagles and we Big 12.
You played both New York teams, the Giants and and the Jets.
That's three wins right there.
They're 10 and three.
Then you gotta play the football team in Week 15.
That's another winner right there.
That's 11 and three going into the match up against the Rams, which could very well be a toss up in Seattle.
Whoever wins that game will probably win the division and then you close it out against the banged up 40 Niner squad, which you've already beaten in once already before the season.
That has to be the easiest remaining schedule in the league right now.
You play that you play the NFC East 80% of your games.
Yeah, It definitely is going to be an easier part.
Now, I will say if if if they were your boys, though, your boys would have gave him a good run.
But, you know, they don't owe them.
Why they did play.
They did play the cowboys e cowboys E.
Hey, I'm not even fighting with you on this one, man. I'm embarrassed.
Give me doc back.
Hey, Dad. Better get his money.
I mean, I mean, we saw how dad basically Well, this team, uh, man, how much you think Jackson get paid? Do you think you'll pay him 40 year? Or do you thank 35 36? People don't understand what inflation is.
And the market people love to compare contracts and numbers, but don't realize that inflation and the changing market is a really thing.
So is what he is going to make worth what he does on the football field E.
I don't think anyone could justify that, but Pat Mahomes right now, But you have to set the market, and I mean, is he is he just a good, if not better than DeShaun Watson? I after after this season to like I don't even think that's a debate.
I think they're absolutely neck and neck.
If not, I think that's slightly better.
But if you said to, Sean was slightly better.
I'm not gonna fight you on that either.
I think they're the most comparable quarterbacks in the league right now.
The two of them, in my opinion, And if there's anyone that just set the market, it's to Shawn Watson.
So mats just on Watson's contracts.
And I think that's pretty fair.
But I mean, I'm not looking.
I mean, do I want them to be in a better financial situation to afford people? Absolutely.
You know, do I think that a franchise tag might be on the way because of the injury? I do think so as well.
You're still gonna have to pay him 40 plus million like you're doing this year on the franchise tag.
Do you think Hey, let's let's **** with this guy again for another year and see if we can, you know, do a Russian roulette with Andy Dalton and Garrett Gilbert like, That's not the answer for a Super Bowl, I'll tell you that.
Maybe you win the NFC sometimes, which isn't that great of an accomplishment.
But you wanna put together in a team that can compete with the Rams, the Seahawks, the Bucks, the Saints, everybody that we're talking about right now, the Packers and the Chiefs and the Ravens like.
And there's not a shot right now.
Unless you have Dak Prescott is here is what I will say.
Your cowboy schedule the rest of the season is probably the most easiest schedule I've ever seen.
Your your 00 yeah.
You got the washing.
You got the Washington football team on Thursday, which you should win that game.
No, I'm not good prayer.
You cannot say that about yea, Maybe with that game they could They could win that game.
I'm gonna I'm gonna be knocking on my desk as I'm saying this.
So you got the Washington football team.
You got the Baltimore Ravens, that's for sure. In l.
I don't care what the hell happened, you're losing against the Ravens.
If you If you beat the Ravens, though, I'll give you the biggest standing ovation I have.
They almost beat the Steelers with Garrett Gilbert.
So crazy things you did.
And then you got the Cincinnati Bengals.
I think it's when you got the 40 Niners banged up. 40 Niners squad.
That's a tossup.
Sells the toss up.
And then your final two games for the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants.
That's a double win right there for me, e Because I hate you Know what's funny, Perry? Looking looking at your schedule.
I'm boldly knocking on wood on this, but you might go a you might go find No, no.
Okay, let's not get to it.
You might you might.
You might e will come to the beach and kiss you if they If they go eight and eight, I want to get the biggest standing ovation e I see.
I want to hear why she spoke the truth.
I won't even want it to be honest with you all.
Keep it real with you.
I've never want the Cowboys not succeed.
I just don't want all of a sudden everyone to be back on the Andy.
Dalton is better than dak trade.
And you don't need him like I can't.
I can't take it.
I just I'll kill myself, so I just can't take that.
So you want to know what you wanna know? What be the funniest yet happiest thing for you at the same time? If somehow they just win the rest of games, I would love it somehow.
Some way they went to the games.
The thing is, you got to get comment that you got Trayvon.
Who's out on on already? Terrible secondary.
I mean, you got Pollard Pollard's Justus. Good.
I hate to say it, but Pollard's good.
He last one off to CD.
Lamb is Did you see that you like catch like CD lamb? Yeah, that was That was beautiful.
First off, he's already broke the record for most receptions by a Cowboys rookie of all time.
And this is the Cowboys.
You've had some great rookies come into there, and this is of all time right now.
Through what week? 11 like, Is that what we're all right now? Yeah, going on two.
But they've had with quarterbacks.
Sorry with the quarterback.
Russian roulette, By the way, This isn't with Dak.
Dak was for four games.
So the biggest problem I have with the whole going undefeated season is that they have to play three of their games against the NFC East, where up is down and down is up.
And nothing makes any sense.
And and they've already and they've already lost to the Eagles and the football team once already.
Yeah, but see, that doesn't matter.
Like e really looking at.
I'm looking at McCarthy and just like the kind of adjustments he could make.
And the kind of coach coach is that they have underneath him right now.
That's what I'm looking at, because right now you need to put the best people in the position to succeed.
But at least get your team to fight.
Like if you can't get the team to rally around you, you can't pull the most out of your players right Now is a time to try and error.
Try everything and If you can't figure it out, then something's wrong and I'm not saying fire McCarthy right after the year he was dealt a bad hand, and I know how Jerry Jones works.
He's not going to give up on a coach after one year after all this crazy stuff.
But you look at a guy like Mike Nolan, the defensive coordinator.
He needs toe, have a microphone he needs to have a magnifying glass on.
It has been better the last few weeks, yes, but it's It's still the worst one of the worst defenses in the league.
So Mike Nolan needs to be looked at two.
So you know we'll get we'll get off the NFC East.
We'll get back on Thio one.
The one thing I will say for the NFC East for the Cowboys.
When you play the division, it's a home game for the football team.
You're you're hosting the football team, you host the Philadelphia Eagles and you close out your season at the Giants, so it's a very favorable schedule.
We'll see what happens.
But it is the NFC East where down is up, up is down.
So who knows? Who knows what happens absolutely.
Let's see her before we sign off.
I want to hear you guys.
Is Super Bowl winners right now at this point in time, how the teams were constructed, Who's taking home the Lombardi? Did you? Do you want me to go first? I do because I don't wanna hear Matt say Packers first.
So I want to hear Gary first.
I gotta go Steelers at this point, OK? I mean, it's the face like that, and it's the favorite, but I mean, they're running undefeated.
I think that's his name right there.
Chase Claypool, right? Yeah.
He's having an outstanding rookie year.
Big Ben's looking good all time.
That's rookie year for a receiver of all time.
Yeah, they went into Dallas and **** the bed and still one.
So, yeah, I think you gotta be looking at the Steelers.
Has the odds on favorite right now? Sure.
What do you What do you think? That I mean, I wanna be a homer and say my Green Bay Packers, but I just don't think that's it.
Especially with how pathetic of a performance we put up against the Indianapolis Colts.
And we could have had chased Claypool But you know what? We decide to take a third string quarterback because that's that's the way how it rides down in Wisconsin.
We could have had Patrick Queen Chase Claypool.
We couldn't have Michael Pittman Junior, but he's gonna say no and a Hey, I'm okay without jailbreak.
Oh, yeah, but a quick question here And is, uh, the Packers picking up Jalen a worst draft day decision.
And the Bears drafted Robiskie? No, we did a trade up as much just to move up one pick to get your biscuit and the Niners.
Where you going? To draft your biscuit in the first place.
You knew they were gonna draft Robiskie.
I mean, with Green Bay, at least we only gave up 1/4.
I just wish that we would have took Patrick Queen or receiver.
I mean, we're still seven and three, so I mean, I can't be mad at that.
I just wish that we would have gone something different Now who I think will win the school this year.
I feel like it's either gonna be can I feel like it's gonna be Kansas City going back to back.
I mean, I wanna be a homer and said, My Green Bay Packers, and if they dio, it'll probably be the happiest.
I'll be the happiest man alive.
I'll be as happier than when the Dodgers won the World Series, and I was a happy man when that happened.
So I mean, if it happens joy to me and I'll have bragging rights for the entire season.
But you know, as of right now, it will probably be the Kansas City Chiefs.
If I had to mention another team, I would probably throw in.
Maybe New Orleans Drew Brees last ride, but other than that, that's that's pretty much it.
I will say Green Bay is in the conversation, but I don't I don't think they have enough to when the Super Bowl, especially with how bad we played against the Colts.
And whenever we play good teams, it's okay when we've played winning teams were one and two and are only win was against the sanction.
They didn't even have Michael Thomas and it was Week three, so like that was early in the season.
But I mean, I'm still riding or dying with my team in the whole world.
Me hopes they get it done, but I would not be surprised if they don't.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was Kansas City or New Orleans to walk away with Lombardi.
My pick is the Chiefs.
I'm have to go with the reigning champions right now.
In the beginning of the year, I was chime in on the Ravens.
I thought I thought they were going to be able to take it home with the improvements they made on the roster.
I thought the defense stayed the same, if not got better, because they had a really good draft.
And I thought that the addition of J.
Dobbins, on top of the team they already had, would, you know, take them to that next level on top of Lamar continuing to progress because you saw how Lamar Jackson played last year.
It was unrealistic.
E mean stem VP of this of the year.
So I mean, you think Okay, the guy is going to take that next step with a team that doesn't even need him to take the next step right? So in my head, I thought, Let's let's pencil that in for me as my favorite.
But now I don't I don't think so anymore.
And on top of that, the defense drafted Patrick Queen.
Added Kallias Campbell and during the season, traded for Yannick and GAC Way.
Yet they're six and four.
So I think there's some deeper issues there.
I saw there was a report obviously saying the Mark Ingram is getting phased out of the offense today, so we'll see Hollywood.
Uh, e I think Dobbins, too. Yeah.
Dobbins to its best, Gus Gus Edwards season right now for anyone that's playing fantasy football, Hollywood Brown is trash.
He's complaining about his lack of, you know, production and his lack of and then he drops, like, two passes last game and I was sitting there like, Oh, man, you can't cry about your role and then drop your You know, You know what's funny? The Ravens right now aren't in the playoffs.
If you look at the A F C playoff picture, they're not in.
You got Brown's above them, right? Yeah.
And the Raiders? Yeah.
I mean, okay, the Raiders, like I know this is getting off the recap, of course, but the Raiders deserve the league's respect.
They have been competing week in and week out.
This is a team that gives you issues.
It's a team that gives you issues seriously.
And Gruden is what? You're three into a 10 year contract.
So he's already put a lot of pieces in place.
We've **** on the Raiders for a long time, but at their draft pieces are starting to pan out.
You're starting to see six and they're going after last chance.
You guys is kind of how it's looking right now.
Like you know, everyone that got written off come over here will give you your comeback season.
We will give you the platform to try and make it right, and you're seeing it. Nelson.
A goal? Or was it the problem being Carson Wentz? Maybe, but or just the fact that the Eagles air terrible.
But the fact that he's now here and looking like a Pro Bowler like let's okay is a Jones.
He's not making impact, but he's contributing.
People wrote him off, told him to retire.
You got Peterman last year like it doesn't matter who.
I think two guys signed today to the Raiders as well, got tack.
McKinley, who's failed like five physicals in a row.
The guy is a joke.
And now he's on the Raiders today, Of course, because they're like, what happens if he does pass the physical and get it straight there, like right here or right here, waiting like And if not, like, **** it.
We gave it a chance.
And who cares? So I hate the Let's give crap guys another chance, you know, depending on the situation.
But, I mean, if they don't, if they're not often domestic violence charge or something like that and they just kind of there just ass.
I'm okay with giving him another chance and seeing if they want to get a redemption story with Gruden.
Because it seems like guys are are buying in.
Well, the Raiders have been doing that for years.
I mean, look at Rich Gannon.
I mean, he took him to a Super Bowl, and he was What was he the Vikings left over? I mean, anyone M v p.
I think I think Dan, anyone MVPs Well, yeah, e want circle back.
Just dark horse stuff.
If I had to pick a dark horse team, I have to go bills because e.
I mean, their main problem has been inconsistency.
If they string five games together there there, especially Bill builds Mafia.
How crazy they get.
If they go far, I expect some slamming tables.
Yeah, so I've been a dark horse.
And then the one other thing you mentioned, the Drew Brees last for well, tour.
Do you think that guy's gonna play another game this year? I think so.
I think when When it when.
It when it comes to the playoffs, I think the rest of his regular season is done.
But I go when he's ready.
Going out like that.
Hey won't go out.
I think he'll play in the playoffs.
Let's say he doesn't Let's say he doesn't whatever reason, he doesn't come up. He got to play.
Of course you gotta.
Yeah, come back.
You won't go, but no.
But if he went, But if he goes the playoffs this year and they have a run, I think he's done.
Yes, if if they win the Super Bowl this year and go on and play out front and Breeze gets the second wing, he will retire.
What about not Super Bowl.
What if they make it to the divisional? The divisional round? They have a divisional round, I think, as the same as thanks organization.
You might have to question it because I think he might be a swell, especially with especially with how catastrophic the ribs.
It's not like a water to rib first.
It was the first.
I mean, at least it was the thumb, like a thumb.
Obviously, it sucks when your quarterback but thumb is too bad, but ribs and something.
It was one of your rib.
Eight on one side, three on the other.
I mean, I saw a picture he was breathing through, like a tube thing.
I mean, you're never gonna be confident again.
You see, Aaron, Donald running at you, you're You're throwing the ball so quick you're not even looking for.
He's probably gonna have, like, the rip protection cages all the way out, Like he's gonna probably need a bubble wrap around around his ribs.
Ribs aren't no joke.
I've I've ****ed up my ribs a couple different times and I mean, it's hard toe walk, let alone do anything.
I just I don't see him coming back.
I mean, playoffs, maybe, but even that, I think, would be a stretch because 11 broken ribs E I mean, you're the core.
That your champion? Absolutely.
No, I agree. I don't I don't see him coming back.
And I hate to say that he could go out that way.
I don't I don't think he will, because he's a competitors.
And I could see him coming back for another, like, weird half a year or something.
But like, is that the way you want to go out to? You know what I mean? Like, you wanna be remembered as someone that contributed, and I when I think of Drew Brees Right now, I still think it's someone that is contributing one of the best guys of all time and like you don't wanna wait until you just don't.
Yeah, absolutely, Absolutely.
There's not even a question.
It's not even if someone gives me a debate about it.
They're not watching football like the guy is absolutely, Or they're just a Jew hater hater.
But, you know, I think that's that's a good place for us to end off.
