He started from the bottom.
Now my whole team and started from the bottom. Now we're here.
Started from the bottom.
Now the whole team here started from the bottom.
Welcome to the Golden Hour.
It's episode number 66.
Andrew Stall alongside Jack Morgan.
We got a big show for you.
Free agency covering the NFL.
We're gonna talk a little.
Some college troops from college football.
Um, so we got tax show for you, Jack, How are you doing? I am doing swell.
I take the week off.
Got Corona. So you know, that's fun.
A zai put out on my Twitter.
So yeah, we're back and well, way missed a lot because I I honestly, we're gonna do show on Wednesday that that that didn't happen.
But we missed a lot because then be a draft was on Wednesday, and I'm gonna because And we had the coverage here live for you on the goal now in the first round, and well, I'm gonna put the score, Mom.
I'm gonna put the draft order down below.
And it was a packed first round.
There was no trades inside the top 10.
But once you got past the top 15, there was a lot of trades, and we'll see on the bottom Ticker down way.
Always talk about who's gonna Yeah, and it doesn't really happen.
I'm gonna be honest, especially in the big dress, like the NFL.
Um, and way talk about tried, and it's fun to talk about.
But when? When? When it comes to reality top 10 teams, they're they're normally bad.
They're in a position in which they wouldn't actually tried that because they need to get the best blood.
Because when you look at the difference between a top 10 pick and a late first round, pick it zbig get, I'm gonna be honest.
So what? We'll see this draft class.
Um, there's gonna be some stars.
And there I know there is.
There's also gonna be some guys that we don't hear from, and that's okay.
That's what happens in every single draft class.
Not every draft class is gonna be full of stars.
Um, so, Jack, we're gonna stick.
Let's go. Chronological order.
Eso We'll recap MBA first.
So what happened? Jack waas Um, the sixers got what needs to be done.
Okay? They got out Horford's contract off the books, Most importantly, and they traded for Seth Curry.
Some shooting in portions.
Fortunately, trading Wash Richardson.
Uh, but, uh, and we'll see where the Sixers where those moves go from here.
So what do you think? You know what you think about.
I love the moves made.
The Al Horford need to go.
What? Al Horford X is the biggest joke that has came through Philly in such a long time.
I think the problem was he was over, Pete.
And you can, uh, bank Elton Brand for that it straight away.
And, uh, and the Sixers didn't trade away Al Horford and think about it.
Sisters didn't trade Al Horford for Danny Green.
They in reality, they traded Al Horford for cap space in that regard.
And they also didn't stay with Richardson and Richardson.
Deal for Seth Curry? Um e mean it.
Seth Curry is a great shooter, and that is what the Sixers need because the Sixers had no shooting last year and it costs them e mean you saw they could not shoot for their lives and in the league have really depends on that.
And these these days, you need shooting.
Sixers got shooting on Wednesday night and Josh Richardson, yea can shoot, but he's an inconsistent shooter.
That's what he should.
Just something I want to bring up more of a slasher.
That's not personally.
I think that courage over I did simply because the last thing that he's a great player is a great shooter.
Um, but I think I just It's unfair because when you're older, brother is Steph Curry.
It's zero animation.
More talked about E.
He took a step in the right direction.
Uh, here's a Here's a question, though.
When you look what you tried, you tried a second round pick, so find whatever, it doesn't matter.
E don't think it's gonna about any property.
Is Seth Curry? Sure is a better shooter.
What you're talking about, You know you're starting shooting guard.
It's Steph Curry.
Really like an improvement.
I know you needed shooting, and he's a better shooter when you're talking about like, all around guard.
I mean, I'm not so sure how much of improvement that is.
Uh, that's my question.
I mean, I honestly, which is what you guys needed.
Todo e think they're also the defense on the defensive side.
You've got still gamma tease.
You still got Sybil, who is a menace on the defensive end s.
So there's your defense in that regard.
And I think that if if Curry does end up being a liability on the defensive end, I don't think you would put Yeah, you wouldn't You would take him out that starting group, maybe have him off the bench, maybe get a guy who could do both.
I mean, that's also, you know, you also got Danny Green, and I honestly think that And here's where.
My This would be my ideal line up in a lineup where I think the Sixers can go really far with it.
Didn't include and hearing it Seth Curry at point guard.
Now I'm not having him at shooting guard guarding the hardens, the bookers and e against the world.
Uh, along the top point, guards were gonna happen.
I would rather have that.
I guess it depends on the match up.
Nightmare tonight out.
You have to adjust that matchup.
Now, that's your point. guard.
Now a shooting guard.
You can either have Danny Green, who is a solid choice.
You can also plug in the tea Stibel and then you go to the small Ford.
And that's where you got Ben Simmons on and then in.
If if, if you wanna put him at the power forward, fine than someone Tobias Harris at the small forward.
But I'd rather have to buy their power for it.
And then you, albeit a center.
That is a signal that is a better line up.
I field with that.
Then last year's last year's in what it on paper, it's it's worse.
But honestly, I last year's team was it was a disaster, Okay, but I mean, it was a disaster.
I mean, there's God that would have been.
I think that's a better a better line up in terms of fit and kind of just the way that you know South Korea's guy that can shoot while the T Stibel nine might not be able to shoot.
If you put him in there, he still gives you that defense on some of the top guards in the game and then you also and if you don't put in Matisse. I will.
You also got Danny Green, who could shoot pretty **** well off the ball.
And then you got the small firms Ben Simmons, which allows him or to be more of a slasher because God knows he ain't a point guard.
I don't I don't like Simmons. Uh, point guard.
I only like Ben Simmons at point guard in the NBA two K, and that is literally all.
Yeah, something up.
This is something that I think needs to be talked about.
Eso you're talking about? Daddy Green like use amazing video player.
He's not amazing.
He's a If he's a start where he could be a starter, he is.
He isn't every night starter, but his his I brought up some stats here.
I know I don't say stats or anything where you're talking about shooting.
I think stats are important when it comes to shooting, because that's the That's the way you measure shooting.
Um, so in 2018, he had a career year.
That's what made his value go so hot.
45% from three on a 46.
5% field goal percentage last year, that percentage dropped to 36.
Have that will hold up.
How much? Well, how many threes, Didi t? He can't imagine he talked a lot more with, uh, Davis.
Honestly, Uh, yeah.
You only took four.
Well, I mean, it's not really that big of a difference.
I mean, it's 40.
6, but then again, it's 0.7.
So three point field goals, he 36 45? I mean, he would take He took about four game, they four games.
So it's like, Yeah, he's going one of four.
Like if you multiply that eight, I mean, like, that actually, still wasn't like, Well, he was making most Bacon about.
He was making about two out of every five in that in that if I'm round and everything up here because 1.
8. So he's making two out of every five.
He put that to 10, then he's making four out of five, and I are sorry.
It was making four out of 10, and I would take that any day of the week and that's the thing.
But I would like I will invite you to take a look at how bad and how.
How poor **** poor, the six or shoot on realize that God Almighty, that is an upgrade.
It's enough that that's where the upgrade is for me and, yeah, significant as an upward, as you speak it to e don't like, Yeah, I'm not trying to put it that it za great church.
But if he shot 36 if he should even lower because all of his numbers went down every single one and it wasn't good.
So hopefully he Trans backed up.
But last year, ever single.
One of his main stats went down and look at that.
He's in his thirties.
He's in his mid to late thirties.
So what, you want three.
It's the right time.
And, uh, E yeah, and what also I also like that he is a veteran presence.
He is a three time NBA champion.
I I like that going in and coming into the Sixers locker room.
I I just like that veteran presence coming in because yeah, you lose that veteran presence with Al Horford It? Yeah, you did.
You look on the skill side.
We also lose veteran president.
But then you entering the guy who's won the NBA championship three times.
He's made that journey three times.
He's been under some great head coaches like great Popovich and some of the three guys that, uh, the three guys that everybody raves about this year and that the past few years. Nick, Nurse.
And you know, Frank Vogel.
For what it's worth, I mean it.
It takes a village and it to win an NBA championship.
Danny Green knows that.
I think that it could bring that into the locker room.
I think that really does help out the Sixers teams.
I I like the trades, and even though it wasn't all Danny Green, I love the trades.
It's a good trade.
So, Jack, let's talk about per request.
Let's talk about let's talk about the Hawks a little bit because I'm going to say the Hawks actually had made a lot of moves.
They made some good moves that I like with Rondell with, Yeah, the O signing people signing people, going out, going out.
So the Hawks has, um they they have a lot of moves and, uh s a R gallanar.
And that vote on Bogdanovich, Dude from Sacramento, inside the O.
And, yeah, I'm grateful, remember? Remember, Jack, though he is a restricted free agent, so Sacramento can match that.
Okay, so that's something that needs to keep an eye on.
He's not with the Hawks yet.
Not yet. He might be. We don't know.
The Hawks have believed they had 48 hours from the time that he signed it.
And that happens. One.
Um, I think that the match it.
Yeah, and they found Chris done, Jack.
They signed some role players centers.
I'm Look, I thought that Bogdanovich was gonna I honestly thought that Bogdanovich was going to take, like, a one year.
I didn't think that he would take a four year.
I thought he would take one year and then try to go for an even bigger contract.
About have I guess he realized this is biggest is gonna get.
Do you think you want four more years? I'm surprised that need to take that one year.
Yeah, because being a restricted free agent is the most annoying thing.
And then you control where you go next year.
Did you pick and choose where you could go next year, depending on who gets your contract.
But I I I like it.
I like the moves they they made.
Um, I dio I think that they're not moves that might stand out on paper.
Okay, with we're not going to talk about Bogdan yet because it official is not official yet because but good, uh, on paper, the guys are.
And by the way, the wizards denied the John Wall reports, so he has not requested a trade.
He is thing in Washington for the foreseeable future, I guess.
Either way, yeah, no, back to my point.
It's not it I But now on the echo that that was a good pick, that he just he fell to them and the I'd like that Pick the it Why I forgot.
The Hawks made no mistake, and that's good.
I like the name, the names they signed.
Because the Hawks are a heading out the 2019 2020 season and heading into the 2020 off season, they are a significantly young team compared to all the other teams in the n. B.
A and you, Mac, Can you back that up with with the veteran presence in regime rage on Rondo Gallinari? Um, yeah.
Bogdanovich Bogdanovich 28.
That's not forgot him.
Forget about him.
Yeah, yeah, but if he is Yeah, e.
Tony Snell in a strange Yeah, Tony knows. Not bad.
I don't hate the Tony Snell trade.
Yeah, I like the veteran presence.
They added, It seems like a common team for me to the veteran presence, but I just think that with such a young t, it was such a young team, you know, it helps out.
And what I like, what I like about what the Hawks were doing is that they're drafting, um, they're drafting around, try Young, you know, getting get's him. Exactly.
You're actually trying out with post guys and it's centers and it's everything power for you, for Trey on that before that, that's the fun thing.
You know, he could come off off the bench and be trying to back up.
He can still run the floor at the point guard.
That's important as well.
So, look, I mean, I don't know, like the playoff.
T o is Absolutely.
I'm gonna be honest.
I mean, there's about it is used to be worth it was worth a couple of years ago.
It waas it was it.
There's about six or seven teams that are we know we're gonna be in a playoff position.
And since the top 10, at least you know, make it to the playoffs or in the tournament, there's gonna be some teams, teams, e think.
I think the wizards with John walk.
I mean, there were the eight seed you were.
You never know. Especially with top 10.
I think they could be the Hornets.
They could be there.
The magic, they could be there.
The Nets are gonna be significantly higher than the seventies.
They're gonna be up there so the East is the East is good, but when you compare, it was like the worst where I see 13 out of those 15 teams having a chance to play off spot.
I mean, it z, the Eastern Conference.
But that's okay, because it's always gonna be one conference that's rather than the other.
That always happens.
And not just in the n b A but in the hotel in the NFL, every called troops, college football.
You know, if you look at some conferences where they have Eastern and Western Division North and South divisions Yeah, I was I don't want the Eagles when the NFC and I'll tell you why in a little bit Yeah, yeah, is we got one more topic, and it's just it's just a quick question that we are both going to answer what was the most important move made? A fridge agency that means a trade or sun.
One of the draft proactive fires.
What was the most important move anywhere? Man? I'm gonna say the Sixers traded Desire Smith for Tony Bradley.
Please tell me that to go.
I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
I honestly that this'll free agency was a little weird.
And while terms of what boys told that could happen and what has yet to happen, yea, he's gonna Bruce on with L A. Anyway.
But you never know what was told that while we were told that could happen.
Didn't happen the first night or sorry, what we're told that could happen in terms of trades now, didn't really having Harden Westbrook.
They didn't go anywhere.
Or at least yet, they have gone and work.
Really? Oh, well, that's what I'm saying.
What I'm trying to say What we were what people were saying on.
And then we were told that they were gonna be fireworks during the NBA free agency pretty much right away and then progressively throughout the day, they kept on saying, No, that's not gonna be the case.
Anthony Davis is gonna wait.
She's been taking, probably won't sign his mask Max extension until a couple days.
And then he did on Sunday.
So it was offered and weird.
And I'm I'm saying that.
And in that because I honestly think the most important move made in free agency was by the Celtics to lock up Jason Tatum.
And I can also say that Utah Jazz they came close as well in second with locking up Donovan Mitchell, You gotta lock up these guys for the future.
Eat them and Mitchell are too important to your team to not to just f around and not sign him.
Get him on your now So then you haven't on your books, and you can, uh, look at your financial situation accordingly.
You can sign some guys in free agency because, you know, all right, that's how much we're paying.
Tatum, how much can we use on the bench guys? Or maybe a French starter guy? How much can we use? So e think I like that.
I like the moves being made by Celtics and a jazz to lock up their key players that those were the most important moves.
I have two answers, and they kind of coexist.
My first answer is an actual board, which is the Sun's trading for Chris Paul.
Now I know this was the headline thing, and this is what everyone wants to talk about what was the most important And it was because the sun's for many, many years with Devin Booker there.
No one else is really there.
It's always Devin Booker and nobody else.
Now that they have Deandra, 18, who's who's find, well, us dio, they have, uh, they absolutely smooth.
But we knew there they're they're still not there yet.
They're still not really a playoff season because of how good the Western conference is and then they go trade for Chris Paul, who last year was on the thunder with a bunch of young guys and brought them to the five.
Now I know it was coaching and great, you know, great.
Um, chemistry with the team and everything.
But Chris Paul is going toe help out Devon book and DeAndre age and all the young core over there in Phoenix toe.
They can be a 45 or six seats.
I said they were before five.
I said there could be five Thing is what we have to note, too, because after this year after the 2020 21 season, Chris Paul is a free agent.
So this is like a one and done thing Fish.
He doesn't want to resign If you want to start.
I mean, who knows what he's gonna dio? Maybe goes down with the Lakers and Clippers, Whatever.
If he doesn't get his ring, the sun's got one shot at this thing and now the most.
The second most important move, I said are the counter existed was the thunder trading for even more assets.
Now we're yet to see how this works out.
Blowing apart your entire team, getting first round picks, getting second round picks on best players.
We haven't seen anything like this before, but that's that's important for manky.
Except for when we saw Sam Hinkie literally get every single pick There could be a a ****** died for our sins.
Never forget that.
Yeah, so I honestly think we'll see.
We'll see where they go.
I'm not sure exactly.
You're right about that.
They do coexist.
They dio because you know what? What? What's another? But, Jack, halfway through our show, the NFL moved on from all that MBA talk.
Now, bring back in this past weekend's we're onto football for the rest of the show back.
So for all of our football fans coming in here, um, well, yeah, you're right.
The thunders are a that Yeah, that further ado.
Let's go to our Sunday headlines.
We're gonna recap, talk a little bit for a couple of minutes each game.
And that's what it's not recap until Sunday Headlines.
Jack, what was off here? Um, And Jack, wait, go either way with this, But I'm just going the first way.
I see it because I have their team.
That's my favorite. So, of course, there at the top.
What what happened? E using the ESPN Joe Paul Hop on it, The Washington football team in the Cincinnati Bangles? Um, you know, we'll get a little later.
We'll talk about the significance of that injury after the Sunday headlines.
But Jack, what I want to talk about is actually how good Washington play now.
Alex Smith did have a flashy game.
Alright, we only threw for 166 yards.
He threw a pick. Pretty threw touchdown.
Um, but the running game? The running game was perfect.
164 yards on the ground until you Gibson with 94 yards.
And again, another productive day from McLaurin, Um, and Jack.
The defense Waas was was perfect for sacks.
I mean, with a couple of turnovers.
And look, I know you're playing you know rookie Joe Burrow, but I don't count Joe girls working.
I mean, he's not a quote unquote rookie quarterback in my eyes.
He placed like a veteran.
He does and you know, the Bengals without Joe mixing and yeah, but the bank will still have their weapons, They e o board and they kind of have a J cream e kind of dio They can't have him back, but they know they don't.
But while she thinks is important, this is something that needs to be said.
Because look, Washington, now, um, is wait.
So Washington is, you know, we had tiebreakers and stuff there.
Time for set, all right? And they play Dallas weekend if they could get to four wounds and the Eagles lose set to the Eagles in playing this weekend.
So the Eagles were gonna lose every The Eagles have your chance to lose every single one of their games.
E think they're going to lose every single one of their games.
I literally, I literally think this team will lose every single on their games.
I'll talk about it when we get to their game, But I swear to God, I really like the Oh, all right, let's move on and I'll tell you about my Eagles who lost seven it.
They also say the Brown score 1st.
1st day, one of our garbage, Brown's 1 22 to 17.
It was close for about three quarters until the fourth quarter where the whole team stopped.
Well, when the whole one, the defense fell apart like sandpaper.
And, well, to be quite frank with you, the offense continued to stay in its misery.
The Eagles offense is one of the worst offenses I've ever seen in my life.
It is absolutely awful.
I mean, I don't get it starts with the offensive line, which is a absolute on.
We'll start with the offensive line when you get sacked on a three man rush.
So that's where we will start.
And we will start there no matter what.
And then we go up, we go up and you know who's under center most of time.
Carson Wentz And it Drew always wants me toe.
And then you gotta be riel.
Someone's bad. Carson.
What's is awful? Are you happy? Drew, Are you happy? Hey, Socks, He's garbage.
He does his get him out of here.
I don't want Oh, he's gonna start next week and it's going to be the same.
The same S h I t is going to be the same.
It's not gonna be different.
This is a loop that will occur time after time after time again this season, and I don't want any part of it yet.
I will watch the game, and I will put myself through it.
But, like it just tells you what is the definition of insanity? Drew did.
What is a different definition of insanity? Yeah, the state of being seriously mentally ill.
I'm talking Not All right.
Well, you haven't heard the expression They They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
Doesn't that seem a little bit familiar to what the Eagles are doing right now? It doesn't work.
Move on from it.
It doesn't work.
You're not good with this team.
You gotta just find I did.
You gotta adjust this.
This isn't a team that's going to do anything at all.
End of story, The front offices and competent as hell.
They don't know this.
They as a group have are absolutely insane.
But that's the story with the Eagles.
It was sad to see it was really sad to see you know what else is really sad? And it's not just this year in his career.
What's has always been a turnover machine.
He has Andi, its entire it.
No trying to change.
It's not even that it is four years.
How many turnovers he has combined? Yes.
Why had 14? Just what you mean? He had 14 picks in 2017.
So 2016 said you had a few fumbles to that.
That's, like 20 maybe 20.
Plus the 25 or 24 he has this year.
And let's be conservative and say he had about I'm gonna go with 75 as the max.
Uh, how Maney 88 turnovers.
Uh, how many that is? You know, a year grow if you divide Well, hold up.
Let me show my flex my muscles because I am a math God.
But I do know this because 88 divided by four is 22 So yeah, I know he has 20 teams.
Had 22 picks per year.
How are you a franchise quarterback If you turn the ball over on average, at least one time again.
I'm serious, I'm sure.
Turns yoga on average, 1.
3 times per game.
Turn nervous per game.
Okay, Carson way.
No, we're gonna lose one of our time, E.
I mean, the problem with that here's where and now Carson wants is on this big deal.
And at the time, it seemed like the right move.
And it was It was the right move.
You had locked up a guy that seemed like he would be your future quarterback.
It it it He really has not been that for the Eagles.
So that's that's the situation.
Before we move on, you gotta tell me which one of these games is winnable, if any.
And I they So you got that.
But Seahawks pack Seahawks.
So let me just give you the record production real fast.
Seahawks out three and seven.
Originally had the Packers as a win, and I had it for the longest time.
That pot that is slowly turning into Anele.
38 and one ST 39 and one.
I'll give a crap of fits at home.
Three nights or 3.
They got the Cardinals, 3 10 and 13 Cowboys.
You might beat the Cowboys, but the most.
I see them with five wins, 391 plus back.
What's most realistic is four, I think four e I want.
I want the Eagles to lose in Dallas.
So let's say they lose that.
They're 3 11 and one and they went against Washington.
Therefore, 11 1.
But if they lose against Washington, 3 12, 1 won every game from here on out to stick it to Howie Roseman, Doug Peterson and Carson Wentz and show that that is not enough.
That is not good.
Um, it's all right.
Let's zoom a little faster.
Next up, This is a perfect time to start.
Uh, that's perfect.
Time to go quick.
The same Speak the Falcons 24 to 9. Jack.
I started Matt Ryan and Hayden Hurst in fantasy football in both of my leaks.
You wanna know how many points they had combined? Three point points between the three months that Matt Ryan had three points hitting her start up of goose zero.
So thank you, Matt Ryan.
Hating her for an absolutely amazing performance.
I was hating on him.
I thought he looked pretty good.
Bone headed to not start James Winston.
But But, I mean, you look a tasting.
They're pretty good.
I'm not gonna live longer.
He spends 500 sharp.
He spent five incomplete passes.
And I mean, the only through 23 times That's pretty good, Jack.
That's a complete, you know, 23 times.
But, hey, I mean, that's that.
That's but that's good.
What I was most impressed about was his ability to not run on every single plane, not take the staff and run quarterback draw.
He only read 10 times, and he scored two touchdowns.
And to put that into perspective, uh, camera ran for three times are 13 times.
Excuse me, Latavius Murray 12 And it was very doubt.
But the biggest and most important storyline of this game was Michael Thomas, because he had nine receptions, 404 yards.
That's what we expected.
Our Michael Thomas.
Pretty much everything.
Okay? I mean that that's exactly it's.
No one's talking about his game.
That's just because what? That's because what we expected not receptions.
One of four yards and I know it's Michael Thomas, but he he had a good game, too.
And I think that actually tasted hell.
Trust the most. And that's most important.
What what should be told is that taste no did lose a fumble, so he didn't have a turnover.
But all things considered, all things Consort er considered the same order there right in two.
And they looked really good.
And their next couple games and the Falcons start taking Pita and their next couple games are the Broncos.
They placed captains.
They play the evil that Z three winnable games right there.
And then, hopefully, you have Drew Brees back for the Chiefs at home.
And when you're playing at home, especially with Drew Brees indoors, you have a chance to content and then you have the Vikings on. Then you have.
The Panthers goes off the year, the sense they're looking e part of their schedule.
All right, let's let's move on to the Panthers and Lines.
Walker, in his first appearance in an NFL game D C defender proud for stall on, it was not defender XFL proud.
Vince McMahon is proud because I'm pretty sure we were in the second NFL.
Vince McMahon is proud because hey, Jay Walker was phenomenal yesterday.
He beat him and the Panthers beat the Lions 20 to nothing.
And, um, yeah, that that I'm also very salty.
I didn't start D J Moore or Curtis Samuel.
Literally none of my leagues, Jack A.
Yeah, A lines could not literally the lines could not score.
And to keep on going with the show is your turning off and everyone saying, Oh, there's a fluke.
You know, if your tend to know Z, that's really good.
This year was your talented.
They have good players.
It's not a fluke.
You have better off this burger playing great.
You got that amazing defense and you've got three great wide receivers.
But James Connor, you have Eric keep this team is good.
I don't care what you have to say, and they're gonna beat the Ravens on Thursday night.
And you know what that means? That means we're gonna win the division.
But nobody had the morning, I guarantee you that.
Yeah, that is funny.
No, Josh, not Josh, is obviously not fund of the situation down in Baltimore.
But, um, speaking of the situation down in Baltimore, the Titans, well, the Ravens are.
They had their chance to avenge the loss in the division around last year.
That was not the case on Sunday the Titans led by Derrick Henry, who had 133 yards on 28 carries.
They fed him, especially in overtime.
He got the game winning touchdown.
The Times win, 32 24.
It's time to reassess in Baltimore.
We'll talk about that in just a little bit.
All right, Jack? True? Yeah.
The Texas and the Patriots.
The Patriots got off to a good start to know.
Ever since then, Cameron has looked terrible.
Really, Everything's Corona e.
I don't think it really I don't think it was Corona that affect him.
I think it was that time off and then you just this God, that's great, that long, It's the opposite.
I think it's the complete opposite.
You trained for the season.
He had two great games and then after he played two games, I think playing every single weekend finally got to his shoulder and that's when he could have played well.
Have you seen him throw? It doesn't look normal.
It doesn't look natural, and it looks like he's in a every single time.
He doesn't look normal.
And now the Texans, it's a It's an important one for them to boost confidence.
You cannot go toe two and eight.
You can't be doing that.
Their third seven.
It's a lost Susan, but that was an important when the Patriots were four and six.
Unfortunately, I don't think they can come back from that loss.
I think it's a think it's a gone season for the Patriots.
Through 11 weeks.
Now, we can assess which teams are going in the right or wrong direction.
The Patriots are going in the wrong direction.
The Eagles are going the wrong direction, so I think that's a good way to reassess.
Now, Jack, let's move into our four o'clock hour of games. Absolutely.
Um, let's start the Dolphins and the Broncos. The Dolphins.
They won five street.
Yeah, well, that tree came to a now, and as soon as we were giving them praise, they lost the Drew on the Via and the Denver Broncos and, well, I sat Melvin Gordon for the first time in like, five weeks and I drop.
I regretted it, which was, like multiple decisions I regretted on Sunday.
UH, Jim Patrick 57 receptions for 119 yards.
Youngster making a name for himself.
Broncos When that 22 13.
That's a big win for them.
If they want Thio stay in the race, they're gonna have to win a lot of games from here on out and Jack the Jets and the Chargers.
The poor Jets all in 10.
But what's most important, Jack Waas, um, was the fact that Justin Herbert Chargers finally got themselves a win.
All right, I really don't care for its over the Jets.
The charges have always looked good throughout this and keep it out.
Another great game.
16 receptions, 145 yards a touchdown, 19 targets.
Justin Herbert, through for 49 times, is there for 366 yards and three touchdowns.
You're gonna have to use that arm tomorrow.
He's gonna use that arm today.
Yeah, he's gonna be doing that right now, but now that job rolls out.
Justin Herbert, it's now my front runner.
I think everybody on Earth, Front runner for rookie of the year.
Yeah, of course.
First, you honestly, I think the thing is, yeah, Herbert, they thanks so much for my brother.
Just opening the door and slamming it all May.
How about it? But no, I think that I don't think I don't think it's unfair.
I think that even then, even without ****, Herbert had a better was playing better than Borough.
Anyway, I I really have been enjoying her playing e mean in fantasy.
He has not disrespected, disappointed me.
Um, and it's since he's been in fantasy.
I've had I've had to watch his games and I've been very much so impressed.
And I think also it's worth mentioning that, um also Mike Williams.
I've never seen him drop a ball.
Um, I I I literally haven't seen him have a natural like drop now like a bad throw from Herbert, literally.
If it even touches him E.
I'm blown away every time I see it.
So that's what I have to say that the Chargers receivers unreal.
I mean, it's their unreal and for the jet and and I'll ended with this as well.
It will move on, and I'll ended with this.
Here's a bigger story.
The bigger story should be that the Chargers almost lost this game, then the Jets actually losing their 10th streaking.
That's all I have to say, because I've never seen a team be this good yet literally get in a close game every single week.
Even after having a E.
They got outscored 22 to 10 in the second half after outscoring the Jets 17.
Nothing in the second quarter.
You can't make that stuff up.
Either way, they have one more.
They have multiple more wins than the Eagles do.
Want a Sunday afternoon? So who am I to say anything? A semi Sunday afternoons? Keep on, uh, going depressing as the as the one before.
All right, let's move on.
The Packers and the Colts.
That was from Indy.
They almost blew it with their play inside the inside of three minutes in the fourth quarter with three straight holding calls, and they then on third down, they pass it, and it was nearly, ah, fumble.
They had to review it that it wasn't a fumble, but it was milliseconds away from being a fumble that the Colts almost blew that game.
Yet they found a way to come back and win and well, want Jack one.
However, when that huge defense big time, what is most important to talk about? The Colts are seven and three.
They started off with Lost the Jaguars and everyone that they rebounded from.
They won seven out of their last nine games.
Good teams do itself.
There is a three seat in the FC playoffs way New.
Also Purpose had to was being gay, man.
He's done more than that.
He threw for three touchdowns yesterday.
Wow, the running game still still still played.
Great, Jonathan Tailor.
90 yards rushing.
He got a majority of those skaters, and I think the Colts, um, running game.
It's by committee.
Lee had six carries.
It's whoever gets going first.
Taylor ended up having a better game.
He had 22 carries.
No other guy even had double digit can't.
So it's really whoever gets talk.
T o becomes the running back one.
I think that's what they should do.
It and Jack our final game of our Sunday headlines was the Cowboys and the Vikings and the Cowboys.
Jack, once the Vikings were finally starting against the rhythm, the Cowboys look even better.
Ezekiel Elliott went from all over 100 yards in the first, just under breath.
Did that not happen? It had Adult threw for three touchdowns and Mark Cooper got back into the game with six sketches, seven targets to the Lamb caught a touchdown and Wade and Dalton Schultz way.
Look at this is what I need to talk about because the hate Kirk cousins guests is unnecessary.
You threw for three touchdowns, just double cooked, still ran for over 100 yards feeling.
And Jefferson, I mean, you in fantasy.
You had fueling and Davante Adams to buy for 15 points, and I lost because of that.
But well, I paid the price because in my money league I played dealing and Adam So don't worry.
I paid I paid uh, the karma.
I paid the punishment.
E paid the deed.
My the deed is done.
A problem just like that, Booth.
Um I'm not so sure they want Thio.
I'm not so sure they want to either, But look, at their next few games.
I mean, d o a chance to another playing the O.
They're gonna get smoked by Baltimore. I'm sorry.
Um, then they play Cincinnati.
Then they played $40.
Then they play the Cowboys.
Then they play the Giants.
Those are some wonderful games.
I'm not saying they're going to win them all, but they have a chance.
So does every n f C East t has a chance to win the division.
Um uh, in it can change the rules 11 year because then in my mess, mess him up the next year.
All right, By the way, there is before Sunday that there is one more.
We're just gonna disregard last night's Sunday night.
Er, er I guess we argued it.
We're not guys regarding that, because that was one heck of a game.
The Chiefs and the Raiders on Sunday Night Football.
The Chiefs, when it 35 to 31 what was a shootout? Ah, good old shootout from Las Vegas.
This time, as Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth were saying in the A F C West.
Patrick Mahomes 34 4548 yards and two touchdowns.
He was incredible.
Eight. Reception receptions.
Part of 127 yards and one touchdown in You Know What? Killed May Aaron God**** Waller.
Seven characters, 88 yards and a touchdown.
There's two tight ends.
And this from you.
You ****yze good.
I can't ****yze good players, but all right, Jack, here's the deal.
There's two tight ends in this league now. I'm not talking fantasy.
I'm talking entirely cord pretty much wider.
She'll lose, actually.
Don't make. That's three.
We're gonna start on, George.
Get on that as well. Which is always gonna stay.
That would be disrespectful.
City Waller and Kittel share Mark Andrews.
Not Zach Ertz anymore.
Uh Well, well, well, When Zach Ertz is healthy, he he is unreal.
And at running routes, he possessed kinda at wide receiver.
I honestly I saw Chelsea.
Runner out yesterday was absolutely dirty.
He a little buttonhook.
He stopped and was it seen the quickest little turn around? He caught it on his right side and I've never seen somebody turned so quick to their left side and both down the field.
That's unreal for a tight end.
So I I agree with you in that there's some great that.
But the great tight entered great and have a good tight end like a great great tight ends are great, is a huge rap's.
I like that phrase because that means that they played great and I'm not sure exactly what's, um what what the Chiefs are.
Uh, I feel like they actually be 10 and Bill, but I feel like they're just widely disregarded is just like the Chiefs.
But the Chiefs are good team to like.
They know I'm gonna say this again for like, the one Booth Chiefs are just a whole nother talk a lot more because the Chiefs are really great team and we don't feel like we don't talk about how great the Chiefs are because it's expected at this point, it's expected at this point.
So honestly, that that's another.
That's what I'm gonna say to you.
They're on another stratosphere where you just expect it, and that's how you know there are really good too, You know who was expected to be a really good team.
Yet it was not a good team.
How about the Lamar Jackson led Ravens, who lost again yesterday and are now? Are they six and four? I believe so, Yeah, they're they're not in a good position.
And true, I'm going to tell you it's not timeto worry yet.
But actually, what I want to do is hold on.
Now, let me, yeah, let me present some information as my science teacher does.
So cringe Aly Hey, so credulous.
That's, um, pardon.
But let me just say, Let's let's take a look at the upcoming schedule.
Uh, it's It's almost laughable, You know they have that.
Will they have Pittsburgh? Fair enough.
They have Dallas who? They better win.
If they don't win, then there's something wrong with them.
Cleveland and Week 14.
Okay, fair enough.
But then you got you three wins.
You better win at least Jacksonville in New York and Cincinnati.
They do not have a hard schedule coming up.
They don't have our scouts where I have to easy games in five.
They have two hard games in five absolutely easy cake walks.
I don't Gino, They they are.
It's not time to worry about him yet.
What they do need to do is win either against Pittsburgh or Cleveland.
One of those two.
They're six and four now if they beat Dallas, Jacksonville, New York and Cincinnati.
So check that they have six years of Randy.
They they have four cake walks into hard games.
Um, part and I can't do math.
So let that be known.
And yes, so that s so you had four winter total, Lieutenant.
They're 10 and four now.
If you lose against Pittsburgh and Cleveland, your 10 and six, you're fine.
I don't know what they're freaking out about.
I think that they should be fine.
But I think that if they I think 10 and six is a record that probably will get them into the playoffs.
But if they beat the Browns and all they need to do is be the Browns and the the whole serve for the rest of the season.
11 and five there are in the playoffs.
Even if they lose against Pittsburgh, you get yourself in, you have a chance.
And if that this team is really good, they're gonna be a tough out in the playoffs.
So that's where that's where I'm at with the Ravens.
They're not that.
Don't worry, it will be fine.
Talk a little bit about this because this is something that e the Ravens all cuts last year was on a different level.
This year there's predictable, and Lamar Jackson does not have that same fire to his game as he did last year in the running game, isn't there? Mark Ingram has been beaten up.
J. K. Dobbins is J.
Dobbins is a rookie in, The lot of people are there, and the defense has been lackluster.
And here's the thing that I want to talk about the offensive large Jackson first, because this this needs thickens.
You need to be talked about, UM, the For some reason the Ravens are not using Lamar Jackson toe.
What? He's supposed to be utilized that I'm not saying Lamar Jackson can't throw, but there's every quarterback always has some sort of weakness, and the Ravens aren't using that to their disadvantage.
You know, like they're they're using his weakness as a way to go in again.
That's not how they need to be doing it.
They need to be running the ball that need to be running and read options.
And when I was watching them, why does everything just slow motion? Like watching the motion watching the runs? It's just worse.
The speed worse, the action.
Why is it Hollywood Brown Run goal roads? Why, why she running pitches and inroads? I don't that zone.
And the biggest thing Jack is they don't have a number one wide receiver.
Hollywood grammar safety on most teams.
I said this earlier to Jack earlier, A number two or three wide receiver on the right, but he's the number one receiver.
He's not a possession wide receiver who throws, who goes up for jump balls or, you know, runs routes over the middle.
No, he's your deep threat.
God, he's running.
He's running post to go attack the safeties.
He's running garage, maybe an occasional outrider wide receiver screen.
He's not your president.
He's not your Michael Thomas wide receiver.
He's not a reception guy.
He's a charge for big chunks type of.
And that's not what the writing for utilizing who else they need to go out this offseason and find a way to go improve in the wide receiver room because they don't have it.
They got my last year in the regular season because no one really knew how to stop Lamar Jackson.
Now they do that.
You could see it.
Lamar Jackson is not running for the yards he did last year, not even close and keep becoming a He's looking to pass now more than he's looking toe run.
He's now a pass first quarterback, and I'm not saying last year he was a run first quarterback, but he definitely he would choose to run more than he went to pass.
And this year, for some reason, he's choosing the past walk, which doesn't make any sense to me.
UH, the Ravens aren't utilizing Lamar Jackson strengths to their advantage.
That's what they need to do, and they're not doing it.
It's a little bit techno worry, but the Ravens will be in the playoffs.
And, like you said, Jack, if you're in the playoffs, you have just a good a chance as anybody else.
So and before we go on to your tour, who you got, um, it's it's worth mentioning how abysmal Penn State has been.
They 25 for the first time in their programs is this story program.
So it takes a lot since 18 89 and they've never started on five takes a lot.
It's what the reason we're bringing this is because most of the time they started with nonconference, cheap games.
That's not the point.
Even in conference, they never started on five, even a five.
Unless they're really garbage, this team is really garbage.
I guess that's a good thing.
There's no one specific person to blame because there hasn't been, ah, long, bright spot anywhere.
The quarterback play we have to weigh have to below average quarterbacks who who wants starts the game and one dozen, and whoever comes inspires to come back off finish.
Why can't we get up, watch the defense, giving up 30 35 points every single game? I mean, we've given a police 33 4, man.
Why? Why do these water receivers? Yeah, And now that Pat Farm with is done for the year, who's our top receiving weapon behind behind John Dobson? I don't know it. Zero.
He's not getting yardage.
He hasn't right for more than 70 yards and I'm gonna even say 50 and then you have homes.
And then he got What's that other pro's name Johnson, or whatever that like? No, bro, there's no I think this is one of the worst Penn State teams in a very match, and there's nothing you can do about it.
There's gonna have to be what we owe.
They have three games plus the crossover game left Jack.
They got three more.
They like Michigan at noon, Eastern.
You can catch the call there, or you can find it on ABC.
They play Rutgers, and brokers almost beat Michigan.
I know Michigan isn't good, and then they have Michigan State and they have to at least 11 or two of those games.
Now they have to cross over game against the Western Division.
Who knows who that's probably gonna be? It might be Illinois.
It might be, um, it might be Purdue.
We'll see who it is.
That's not that's not really that good.
And they're the bowl games. Jeff.
There's a vulnerable this year.
None of them have really been postponed yet.
If Penn State is now automatically going to be under 500 because they have four more games.
Three for a club? Yeah, four or five.
And I want They're not Even I don't want to be in a game.
I don't wanna be in a ballgame because we're not gonna do anything in its way.
Would be playing a team on Iowa's caliber.
Alb, we'd be playing 18.
That's on the level of Iowa.
The the caliber of Iowa, Maryland and, uh, higher performances against them.
Not an enjoyable experience for May. Yeah.
How much you update, or have you got spending who you got? We both picked the bears over the Vikings, so tagged the loss to both of our records.
Man, that hurts.
I go with bears once spy never Spy never was a fan of the Bears.
I should have just stick with my gut and thought the bear sucked Sadio.
Thank you Know there's for me.
So, Jack, now that he has tagged a loss on both of our records Now, if I tell you why, um So, Jack, I'm gonna ask the million dollar question.
Who you got? I got my name.
I had I'm not gonna change it.
I got the box, Sam.
I got the Buccaneers.
I think the Rams defense while they're gonna be good, this buck's defense is underrated, and I don't think they're really gonna be able to stop anyone.
They got a great ass defense.
Um great guys up the middle of great linebacking car.
So I got the bucks.
They're gonna be wanting it tonight.
I'm on a football.
You can catch the game 8 15 on ESPN.
Jack, how about you take us out? Alright, guys, Thank you so much for watching Golden Hour Episode number 66.
Uh, a little bit longer And making them.
We would have liked to, but her because enjoyed.
Make sure to stay safe.
We're a mask. Have a great day, everybody.
