Good morning, Chris.
How are you? I'm good.
Thanks for having me anytime. Anytime.
Here you would like to talk about Washington football team's defensive line this morning? Yeah, absolutely.
I've been big on the washing, intense defensive line and actually their defense as a whole for quite some time now.
Now they're record.
Wouldn't suggest that that Washington football team is all that well, you know, on a fence that they're going through some growing pains.
You know, Alex Smith is now their quarterback.
Offensive comeback player of the year, Comeback player of the year for that.
But their defense.
They really drafted some talent here.
Ah, lot of first round picks, All these kids that they're finally jelling together.
They're young and they're hungry, and they're getting after it here.
And if you look at you know, all we have in front of us is I mean, all we have it's 11 weeks so far.
And unfortunately, Joe Burrow yesterday, it looks like he tore his A c l and, uh, not to sound like a jerk.
But in my DST Streamers article a few days ago, you don't predict injuries.
I wish no ill will on anybody here.
But it was the perfect storm of Cincinnati's offensive line not being able to keep up with other teams.
And if you look at Washington their seventh overall in drives ending in a 17 Scuse me an offensive drives ending in a turnover and 30 for first and *** allowed here with Cincinnati.
And if you look at with my notes here in front of me, Washington is fourth overall.
They get to the quarterback and they sack him about 3.
2 times of contest.
So, you know any Cincinnati Bangles band was probably bummed out heading into this match up here.
And they came out the other end A little worse for wear here, if I may say, because Washington so far this season their 10th and pressure rate and their fifth and *** as I was saying they've got bumped up a spot after a couple sacks yesterday.
But people don't pay attention to the pressure rate or quarterback hits because those things don't really, you know, account for points on our I DP teams.
But they do tell us a story that we can use for our I D.
And if we stream defense is here.
So with wash, you can also ranking ninth and offensive drives ending in points.
They should be able to, you know, keep games pretty close here.
And that a guy like scary Terry, he's a real man's man.
From what we've seen, Hey gets it done.
I mean, he's unbelievably good.
And you know, Cincinnati, I hate toe focus on Cincinnati, but that's boom.
It's fresh right in our faces, having it just It was just done yesterday.
And so but Cincinnati, you know, as we get later in the season, these teams You'll start seeing Mawr inflated numbers like yesterday, uh, with Joe Burrow or Cincinnati in general that they're taking 3.
5 or four plus *** in a game.
And it's just it sets up Washington's defensive line, you know, in a really sweet spot here, you know, Chase Young.
I read an article.
I believe it was kind of two or three days ago.
I don't know who it was, and I wouldn't want to credit them with any with anything there, because it was like, is the time to call uh first round draft pick Chase Young a bust.
I mean, come on here.
You know, 10 games into the season, there was there was no preseason, nothing like that.
He dealt with some growing injuries here and there.
How can you say that? That the second overall pick is a bust 10 games into the season? And, you know, if you look at it at what Chase Young has done, it's all there for a big, monumental sop****re season.
And look, we're still not even done with his up with his rookie season here.
So big things to come for that defensive line.
Montas sweat, Deron pain, you know, defensive tackle Montas sweat.
They're able to move around.
He placed some defensive end and then he'll he'll go back in coverage from time to time Here.
So, you know, as a little personal factor as we talked before the broadcast here, Roxanne, I am a Detroit Lions fan born and raised on the East Side.
But when I was a little kid, I took a liking to Washington way back when, just because it was a fact, you know, uh, Lions and Washington would play in the playoffs constantly divisional rivals, uh, that divisional rivals with divisional playoff games.
You know things of that nature.
So for some odd reason, I've always had a soft spot for Washington.
So to take this topic on run with it kind of been saving it up for a few weeks now, working out the kinks to get this broadcast live to everybody on Monday mornings here.
So, to be fair, the best is yet to come with this defense.
And in all my in all my years, writing and reading fantasy content, especially like fantasy baseball stuff with prospects.
I look at Washington's defense kind of it with envy, green and envy, as they say, You know, why can't the Lions put together something like this? Why can't you know your favorite team put something together like this? And it looks like it's a bit of slow process for Washington, but it's going to come together as early as I think we're going to see some really good, real nice flashes here at the end of the season and then going into the 2021 season, it's going to be, you know, all points are all bulletin.
What did they say a P B.
You know, Washington's defense is going to be fantastic.
And, look, they even lost to start on their secondary in Landon Collins.
And you've had kids stepping up up for him.
There was a rookie that that stepped up for them.
So Washington is going to be okay here.
So, uh, keep your eyes peeled on the Washington football team. Absolutely.
Can you guys hear? May I hear an echo in the background? But you've got headphones in.
No, that's why do you hear in that? Go, Chris, I do not.
All I hear is my my own voice.
Okay? I lost your picture and I hear an echo in the background.
But I am ****ing here, I think, by the way, my name is Gary. Okay.
Yeah, Grid irons.
We don't know when I'm gonna just blow up here off the internet.
But, Chris, you guys up there and with the lions, You this Okay? What? What's his defensive ends? The brothers Okaroh.
Well, something like that.
Romeo Romeo Okwara and Julian Okwara.
Yeah, Rodeo is really kicked it up, man.
Um, I you know, I think the biggest probably about this point he's got.
He has five e, but I think it's helped with the addition of Everson Griffen.
They're both edge rushing and Romeo, as you said, was already playing outstanding, and this is only, you know, elevate him a little bit.
I can't tell you.
I mentioned Green with envy with the Washington football team, Uh, everybody.
That's a Lions fan in the entire city.
In the out fires, they've always wanted the lion staff, some sort of pass pass rush.
It's been, you know, non existent.
And so any time you get a guy with a couple sacks, yeah, in a few weeks, it's like, you know, Christmas has come early, right? Right.
I think you guys is The biggest problem is, is your head coach applying that Bill Belichick way of running that defense? You know, I'm not 100% sure that I mean, you guys seem to be on the verge.
I don't know if he would just quit screwing would shut up there.
You know, maybe you guys would be better off, But you know, when you got what, like your linebackers, Collins is your only full time linebacker.
He turned around and rotate everybody else so much you keep screwing with the secondary.
What the hell's happening with Tracy Walker? Why is the you know I mean, I know he's got some deficiencies, but you're replacing him with guys like Kirsch, which is a re tread reject from the Vikings.
I don't understand what his philosophy is up there.
They wasted so Maney draft picks and high draft picks at that 2nd 3rd round draft picks on.
You know, guys like Gerard Davis, who has been an active, and if he is active, he's on the sidelines.
Jovita, Bonnie, I believe his name is from Hawaii, was a second round pick a couple seasons ago, and he hasn't amounted to anything.
So when you have a situation where they're stacking up, you know, very high end draft picks and they're not hitting on any of them, you're gonna have this kind of thing here.
I mentioned it yesterday, actually mentioned it all week on on other various broadcasts here, where, um, you know, it's It's kind of like if anybody's ever been to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting or narcotics and any sort of support group meeting, they have those sayings you know doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results or didn't trapped in that.
I took a drink and I'm bam.
I'm back in that squirrel cage again so you can take out some of them words and add it with the lion's head coaches.
We hired a new alliance head coach.
We're back in that squirrel cage again.
So there's really there's not never any How can I put this, uh, positives going on? You've got Matthew Stafford on the wrong end of 30 here.
11 seasons in Detroit hasn't won a thing, you know.
So at this point, if you if you keep hiring all these head coaches expecting things to change, then what? What do you have? What you have here? You have a failure off ownership and management.
And I firmly believe, you know, the Fords are are huge in the city of Detroit, right? Without the Fords, Detroit wouldn't be the Motor City.
Let's be honest here.
But Sheila for Father forward Weather Stone, whatever her name is, she stepped down and gave it to her daughter.
But you know, I don't know these people.
I don't wish these people ill will.
But something has to change here, and I believe it.
It starts with ownership, If I may say real quick.
Uh, Jeff Bezos, You know, the Amazon? Do I mean billions and billions of dollars? He inquired about buying the team.
I believe in April, he actually flew in town to talk about buying the Detroit Lions.
And they said, No, we're not selling.
It's like what would have been kind of thing with a guy like Jeff based on take money out of his own back pocket to buy a quarterback money out of his back pocket, you know, toe by, You know, some good players here, you know? So until the ownership changes, I think that's where we're stuck. Gary.
Yeah, probably so.
I mean, it's just been an ongoing thing for God.
News what, 2020 years? I mean, long time, right? 1 35.
And so they don't wanna think Since then.
So let's, uh, let's go 35 long, long ****ing time.
But yeah, I e don't know, man.
And I loved what you had to say.
I didn't catch everything you had to say about Washington.
People are just really, I I was astonished when I seen on Twitter, and I could have swore it was from a Washington, um, network.
Are, you know, like an account saying something about him being a bust? I didn't read the article, so I didn't know if they were just, you know, if that was their catch for their post or what? That waas.
But yeah, I mean, yeah, yeah.
It's like Simmons in Arizona.
You're gonna call him a bust? You know, he hadn't got he didn't win a job off the top.
They they're just now getting them in their young as you mentioned, he was terrorizing at first. He got hurt.
He come back, that it happens.
You can't expect a rookie for one to do what Young is done in this period of time.
He's been he's moved up and put up there with the big boys.
You know, I don't know what you're expecting.
And just because all of a sudden he starts fluctuating and what his production is doesn't mean anything.
It just means that a all of a sudden the opposing team's decide.
Hey, we gotta pay attention to this guy because he's a badass, you know, So people are just over again.
E and I write about rookies all the time I write about.
Well, I don't write about them.
What I write about is I got an ongoing thing in grid ratings that I've been doing for about five years, and it's the percentage of defensive players rookie defensive players that actually work out because I am one that truly believes an IVP that with fantasy football that you know their rookie Zahra luxury.
You know, if they hit, they hit.
Don't build your starting lineup around them, because if you do, it's gonna Bijan asked, because the percentage I think right now over the last six years is actually uh, like 3.
9 of all rookie defensive rookies has been drafted, have worked out toe where they've made an impact their rookie season, and that it would be in the top 64 1 24 of players all together in the NFL.
So that number is so low.
You know, people don't realize this a lot of times and you get caught up in that rookie high playing the game and it's really strong out there, you know, and I love it, too.
It's part of fantasy.
Football is part of the NFL that you can't expect these these guys to go in and, you know, dominate and then continue to dominate.
You know, even we haven't seen it with dinner.
Aaron Donald This year he's been stifled.
What happened to Chandler Jones? You know, he wasn't doing **** before he got hurt.
All these it happens.
It just happens into jump on a rookie like that and call him a bust off the top.
Now their second season.
I think we could look at somebody like in Oakland Farrell and say, Hey, I think this guy was a bus compared to his his draft stock, you know, Hey, hadn't had a He hadn't had a sack since, like the the fourth game of last year's rookie season or some ****.
I don't know what it was unless he's done something since then, or, um, kind of questioning burns down in Carolina right now.
I mean, granted, he ain't got a lot of help around them, but, I mean, he's not dominating in his sop****re year, you know? So leave young alone and let's look at some of these guys that everybody was hyping a couple of years ago and see what they're doing in their 2nd and 3rd year.
And people got to realize that that, Ah, lot of times, you know, people don't develop into that.
That really good NFL player until their third or fourth year.
They've got a lot of growing up to do.
They might have dominated at the college level, you know, amongst those college kids.
But once you get up, there is the best of the best in the NFL, you know, so and and scheming and everything is totally a notch higher, you know? So I love what you had to say there about Washington and young man.
People just need to leave him alone right now and enjoy, you know, call him a bust in three years that talk to us, then, you know, see what he's done.
But anything you want to add to that Yeah, absolutely.
If I may, real quick.
So, um, with a line back to the defensive line with a line like this, hopefully Excuse me.
So I love the idea, and I think I've said it before off getting a bunch of young kids in their defensive line is they have and letting them all grow and learn together.
Kind of like, you know, feet to the fire thing, right? We've all started new jobs in our lives, and you know, you some of them you have, like, little training classes or seminars.
You're in a classroom with a binder or you're doing Internet training classes like you are now.
But nothing teaches us like getting thrown into a situation and having to make do and learn on the fly here.
If I mean, correct me if I'm wrong here, so but with a team long, you're always going.
You're breaking up on us. Yeah.
Yeah, that'll Tim settle on the on the Washington, um, football filling a void there.
He's being a run stuffer, but he settled in as a as a definite pasture this year, and again, he's having, you know, limited or so snaps a game in that school. You're rotating.
What's that? You're breaking up really bad on us, man.
We missed about half your conversation and I want to hear it.
Yeah, so I guess you're gonna really basically start from square one.
What? You was going to tell us, Because that's about time we lost you.
Hold up there. He went.
So I'm not the only one having a crap net day.
So, hopefully Roxanne, you got to introduce yourself, right? I'm really excited, guys, that she is joining the joining me with getting defensive, and she's joined me as And I'm calling her the I d p.
Queen of the future because I could tell you I've been working with her.
She was formally just offensive typewriter.
And I'll tell you, in a very short period of time, um, she has caught on, and she she is ready and raring to go on this for you.
So you guys, if you happen to be on Twitter, go give her follow.
Um, you look for her.
She just got her first cornerbacks.
Uh, it was deep coverage article where she suggested some good cornerback place this past week and they hit Accept from one that happened to be out.
Uh, was, uh, really a lot of good stuff.
And Roxanne, I'm really happy to have you.
And and? And she's gonna be driving the chauffeur getting defensive from her place And I'm just going to try to tag along here if my Internet let me and let you know.
You know, I'm basically using two Internets right now.
That's the only way I'm on there.
I'm gonna WiFi on my phone, and I'm on my home crap in it.
So I can't do much else.
Uh, that we're giving Chris a moment here.
He must be struggling a little bit.
You see anything in the chat or anything? Okay.
No, nothing in here.
Okay? You have anything you were wanting to talk about? A couple of things.
Maybe Dallas is, uh, defensive line.
Um, originally, we were gonna hit on some rest of the season linebackers, and I still might do that.
But now, actually, I was going to bring up the fact if you all have been paying attention to the Indianapolis defensive line breaking off of the conversation, uh, they've added the force Buckner.
This year they got a guy named All Tree.
They got a guy named Grover.
They got another young dude edge rusher named Louis.
I'll tell you folks, if you have watched this just through the seasons since they've put butter on there with these young guys.
They are really, really getting it together.
And this is from an I. D.
Fantasy football standpoint, And this is also from a real life NFL standpoint.
As far as I'm concerned that you've got guys, they have, they have foregone those huge £380 slow guys, this this line, you do have a couple of older veterans right now there.
I'm not sure why.
They just cannot kind of let them fade away in Houston and, uh, Mohammed.
But when When you look at this core in the future of this defensive line, these were going to be people that you're gonna want to target and fantasy leagues this off season.
You can watch big guys like all tree and and them if you watch one of their games.
Even, uh, Grover Stewart or Stuart Grover Grover Stewart.
I mean, the guy's like, I mean, he has to be like 3, 33 40 and he is making tackles 20 yards down the the field.
Yeah, he's mixed in there of watch the last few games and watch some film on him, and he is really an athletic guy.
and I'm really excited for the Indianapolis defensive line.
They finally looks like they adding Buckner and everything else.
They've got one.
The younger guys are maturing and they're working together.
So it really that was about all I was gonna add when it comes to defensive lines.
Chris happened to miss out on a on a program a couple of weeks ago, so yeah, so we was letting him get that off his chest because he's been sitting on Washington.
I tried to get him on the like the following week, and my crap net wouldn't work.
And it was before you joined us.
And then my crap met a couple of weeks off, so really just want to let Chris get that off his chest and it let him thio part of me that's great content from him, always is.
Always is always about their defensive line.
Yeah, I'd like that.
I'd like Thio tell everybody a little secret about Chris, but I'm not gonna do it because things aren't official.
So, um, either way, eso toe to move on.
Roxanne, did you have anything you want to start out with? About maybe the rest of the season linebackers that that I just recently read an article on.
I didn't know if you had a chance to catch out or not.
I caught some of it.
I couldn't get through all of it yet.
I haven't studied much.
You know, I'm putting on my energy and the cornerbacks right now.
So, yeah, I'll go ahead.
I'm gonna run down the list.
Okay? So usually I write these things for gridiron ratings members and its members.
First members on Lee.
Um, I love answering questions out on Twitter and such, uh, whenever it's the off season, I am one of the most.
Try to try to be one of the most helpful guys I could possibly be.
And But when it comes into the end season that I lock things down, I have 32 teams start set charts and multiple tools.
And when people join, uh, you know, I just go completely members only.
So, um, but I do let out the information after a good waiver wire week or after the fact.
So I don't have any trouble talking about this.
I read an article last week.
It was a 90 p dime drop about the ending up.
I just I just let it unfold the way it was.
I checked every team, but we have five strong teams when it comes to match ups for the linebackers.
Now, of course, this weekend just happen.
So that was the fifth week.
So we have four weeks to go, but we still these air these air very relevant people.
Um, I have this process that I do These starts set church, uh, on a weekly basis based on their matchup.
Not on Leah players talent, because in in I.
P and fantasy football, it's kind of like the production by default, it matters.
You know, you could take somebody that's not as good as somebody else.
Put them in the right position.
They're still gonna produce.
But these were completely on their, um, and I was gonna just I'll just go right down the list.
The first one is Buffalo.
Alright, So, buffalo for the rest of the year, we start this week against the Chargers.
It was a really solid matchup on paper.
We have the 40 Niners.
It's a strong, um, I cutting you off air route.
Okay, I was making sure I'm getting a little delay, and it's probably my crap net showing up, Um, the Steelers, um, in in week 14.
Now, that's just solid at the moment.
Sometimes the numbers will change, but this late in the year usually were pretty consistent on the data and information that I used in this five step formula, Uh, stays pretty consistent.
Um, Week 15, we get a strong again, and then they finish up week 16, which is most of the playoffs out there for fantasy football with a really solid that is buffaloes.
Now, we've had a little bit of a drama going on because Matt Milano was doing really well.
Klein has stepped in for him, and he's really performed well formed since they finally put a Milano on I r a few weeks ago.
Why? They kept teasing us, and he couldn't get over it.
I guess they kept trying to stick him in.
And he wasn't doing anything as far as fantasy football, uh, production.
So but finally they put him in on our a.
Come in and you stepped in nicely now after this bye week, they're coming out of the bye week.
Um, this week, actually, Yeah, Week 11.
So everybody needs to pay attention.
They might be activating Milano.
I went and suggest jumping on Milano just because they have a really solid matchup against the charges this week.
I'd be a little careful there because they've tried this before prior to putting them on IR and just having them out for a few weeks.
They stick them in there.
They did it against the Patriots.
Bunch of people went in there and put him and put him in their lineup, thinking all he's back and lo and behold, he stunk it up.
Let's see at least one good game of 100% of the snaps and producing before you get all happy, they might decide for the rest of your toe leave, client.
And who knows? Um, you have Terrell Edmonds is there in the middle.
His had a lackluster, mediocre year compared to what he was really set up for.
As in the hype preseason, he was ah, high draft pick.
He was stone into the fire last year.
He's a good big guy.
He learned a lot last year.
I looked back in.
His matchups on paper weren't as strong as what they are finishing out the rest of season.
So I expect at his talent level he'll have, ah, rest of this season.
It will be he'll he'll be good.
He'll be good and solid.
Should be able to go right along with it.
Um, if you if you know, if you're looking to make a trade, looking to make a push, they might be a guy that you, actually, because of what a prior has done prior to this point, you might be able to get a hold of them cheap because I know there's probably a lot of frustrated owners out there.
Well, uh, Arizona.
Okay, so Arizona would be the next one that I wrote about.
Um, of course you got Jordan Hicks and you got D Von Drake Campbell.
And now you got the rookie Simmons.
He's possibly going to be in this mix because Campbell is banged up.
I think he left the contest again this past weekend, and Simmons come in with, like, I think he only had about about half are a little shy of half of the snaps, and he just really produced the the prior games to that for a couple of weeks.
A couple of weeks, they had him in a zone outside linebackers, an edge rusher, and he was doing pretty good there, too.
But this is we're gonna just talk about him.
Is a unit in Jordan Hicks, and you're just gonna have to keep an eye on Campbell on some Simmons, Um, this is one of those things.
If Simmons is sitting on your waiver wire, which is probably off by now, um, you know, just just kinda.
You're just gonna have to watch the news and see who plays.
Uh, you know, as of this morning, Campbell could be on IR, and I don't know it because of all the other **** that has been going on this morning.
So just keep an eye on the whole situation.
But if we look at it, um, they had a They had a strong matchup this past week because I wrote this last weekend or last week.
So this past week against the Seahawks, they had a strong one.
I'm pretty sure they lived up to that height and then in Week 12 against the Patriots.
They have a really solid, too strong matchup.
So there's another good one, then for the rest of the year.
Week 13 against the Rams.
It's solid for Week 14.
It's really solid. Borderline.
It just really depends on what the what the Giants do in that contest when they go against them.
And then we have another solid against Eagles and in the end, the year with a really strong one.
With the 40 Niners and knowing that the 40 Niners I think you're getting ready to get their some of the running backs back healthy, I'm sure that that's probably going to stick.
So and I'm telling you this now, this is looking forward or the next few weeks.
This is going ahead and applying the five step formula that I use on a weekly basis on the start sit charts.
So again, things gonna just You might have a little bit of adjustment in some of this, but if you check out my charge, you'll see that I'll updated every week.
Anyways, if there is a big change, um, next, I think was Carolina E do have Carolina on near Carolina is.
Everybody is in love with Jeremy Chin, and they should be.
This kid was under under the radar to me.
I did not think that they would throw him into the fire the way that they had.
I had some mixed reports, and I'm not a big rookie guy to begin with.
But either way, Jeremy Chen has proved himself to me, and, uh, he's almost a matchup proof type guy.
But this is even better here because if we're looking at both him and shock Thomas, we're looking at Week 12.
They've got a strong win against the Vikings.
Vikings, unfortunately, in Week 13, their own by.
But then about that week 14, when people are either starting their playoffs or there at the beginning of the playoffs, are in the middle of the middle of the playoffs, You've got the Broncos.
It's a really strong matchup.
On paper, the Packers air just solid, but you know, when I say just solid, these guys are going to get something normally they hardly ever get just shut out.
That's the one thing about the Arizona Cardinals they're going to get there's.
I mean, you have Buddha there, Jordan Hicks and those guys were going to get their share.
So with that just solid, I would still if you're stuck with them and you can't make a move because you're not gonna want to drop these guys.
Because if you do make it to week 16 there against Washington, which is another really strong matchup on paper.
So the really good guys are.
I said that wrong, didn't I? About sack Thomas and Jeremy Chen? Maybe I didn't get distracted.
I don't know either way.
Um, and again, Jeremy 10 when I mentioned the week 15 against the Packers.
I mean, he's pretty.
Well, I think he's had one down game all year, And that was the one that he came off, that he was hurt.
So he was pretty, well, matchup proof before he got hurt.
A week or two ago.
Um, so I think he's probably I'm not sure what he did this weekend, but I'm pretty sure that he should have been all right.
Uh, well, then we're I'll save Washington for last.
I'm just gonna go ahead and I'm gonna hit on Dallas.
Eso I had a little contest on Twitter for people if they could guess, Uh, based on what I dio, uh, if they could guess what the teams were or what the linebackers were that were on the same team.
In the end, I had to throw out a bunch of hits, but we got winners.
Dallas on paper, as I was shocked to see this, uh, this past week and they lived up to it as far as I know, uh, versus the Vikings was strong.
Week 12, they got Washington strong.
They have Ravens Week 13, which is strong, and the Bengals 14.
Another strong one.
That might change a little bit.
They just, uh did just lose borough.
What do you think about Borough Man? Was that messed up? Did you get to see Very I hate I hate injuries.
That was a brutal injury his rookie season.
He's doing great for the horrible offensive line that Cincinnati provided him.
I know he's been sacked the most, probably has a lot of interceptions, but he really is Waas coming into the NFL as a good player, learning a lot of things, you know, taking those hits every every week, he kept coming back.
He was learning a lot.
I think he was becoming tough.
And then just I hate to say it, I hate it and it's even worse.
So you tour is a C l.
So he won't be ready for the beginning of next year s.
Oh, I got a feeling we probably will be lucky to see him hit the field in.
But midseason, if we're lucky, I guess because I mean, that's a year, Ah, year from now, I don't think there's too many that come back before a year and 100% and then he's still not going to be 100%.
You can't expect him to be 100%.
So, yeah, it's definitely putting a damper on that on that, Yeah, yeah, be very concerning.
If they just threw him to the Wolves next year, midseason.
If they're doing awful or something, I don't think that's happened.
Then wait till the start of the next year, you know, because that's you can't do that to him.
They shouldn't know they should.
And since getting rid of Marvin Jones, you know, the the whole mentality and the with the Bengals seemed to have changed a little bit.
So hopefully they do the right thing for that kid.
Because three, he'll be just invaluable.
Three years down the road is a young dude.
What is he, 21 22 maybe, or something? So, yeah, they don't need to to take that chance.
And you know that mindset don't don't mess with the mindset either, because he's a good player, right? Don't make it come back just a little too early and just have it happened just again, you know, because that you can't have that.
They have to let this rehab and he will be a strong quarterback for them if things work out and the way the Bengals set right now, I mean, you know, whether we all like to believe it or not, not every team goes out every year thinking, Oh, we're gonna go win this championship.
Ah, lot of these guys, they're still, you know, they're on the five year program or whatever they're at, they're gonna build.
And the Biggles have a lot to fix.
So letting this kid sit, go get them another fill in for the year, get another high draft pick, Bob Bob Little bill.
They got a whole for him.
Just it z brutal to watch him go through that every week.
I mean, the same thing for Joe Mixon.
He's still young guy.
Boyd's feel pretty well, young right now.
They right now, they don't have a t.
Green is old and not the same player he used to be because he got beat up the whole **** time.
He was a bingle.
And then, you know the offensive line He's revamped, uh, to be honest, uh, over on the defensive side of the ball.
Gino Atkins has been a stud for years.
He's came back after an injury this year, and he has done nothing up to this point.
Maybe he did this weekend.
I'm not pretty sure, but he had done nothing before.
Let let Dunlap and a trade go thio to Seattle.
Uh, you have Hubbard.
Carl Lawson is okay at the other end.
That's who took basically to Dunlap's place.
But then you're in this huge flux with linebackers.
Um, Jesse Bates is back here. He's still young.
There's what I'm trying to get at is there is probably realistically over half this team that I'm going to guess is not there two years from now.
So let Borough hell for that point in time.
Let him come in.
Hopefully no more injuries to these young guys.
Like mixing or something, which is he's been banged up, you know, trying to run through that crappy ass line.
So but alright, so, back to this to finish off this list for Dallas.
We're looking at week 14 against the Bengals.
A strong, uh, the 40 Niners again on weak 15.
Finishing up with the Eagles.
Um, this right here is probably Well, it iss on paper.
When I wrote this last week, it was straight out the best linebacker group, as in talent with Vander and Jaylin Smith and the best match ups for the rest of season.
So if you're, like, again, the reason I write thes is to let people know what if you're sitting on them, they're valuable.
If you if somebody is trying to buy them from you, sell them high.
Uh, if you're going to get them, you know you're gonna pay for it.
It's probably gonna be worth it.
If you're trying to get to the get that ring on your finger, then you know you pay for what you get.
So this would be the best one toe target there.
Right? Last one.
And Washington is your last one. Yep.
Which is lackluster and talent.
You've got old man John Boston.
Uh, he's been a predicted by default player for some time, in my opinion, that with the Steelers and even when he was with Indianapolis prior, But he's been in Washington now.
I think this is the second year he was hurt last year, about 100% sure.
But either way, you have him, and you have the young guy Cole Holcomb That's came up, which is a really big fan favorite.
And And I gotta admit, for I d.
Fantasy football purposes, he is producing really well the folks.
Neither one of these guys were good and coverage neither one of these.
They missed tackles and such, But that is not the point of this.
This is not my opinion.
I'm not gonna go do this song and dance about how I'm not.
I'm not impressed with these guys.
Holcomb is getting better, though.
He's a young dude.
I wouldn't be surprised.
He's probably not there next year.
We'll see what they do with hokum.
But for the rest of this year, as in their matchups, which I think they both had, well, I know the week before, they both had really good games.
I'm not really sure what they did against the Bengals.
I'm sure they held their own because that was a strong matchup.
But in Week 12, they have the Cowboys, which is one of the top tier, strong matchups tohave Steelers.
They're gonna It's solid.
It really depends on on what been and the guys do with the Steelers.
I mean, I'm not.
I'm not sure how tough that game's gonna be.
It's gonna be on game game script there really determines how well they dio.
But, you know, they've been producing the They're probably to be just fine.
Um, the 40 Niners in in Week 14, another strong, uh, matchup Week 15 Seahawks.
Another strong one.
Now this is the one that's worry.
Worries me a little bit.
Um, the Ravens have been giving up so much to the defensive line.
Eso I have a marked is just solid, so I'm not sure you wanna plan on him.
If you've worked your way there with them, I guess you need to go ahead.
That the what? Chris had just talked about all the defensive line of Washington and young and everything.
Um, those guys are gonna be busy against the Ravens.
That's where most of the I D P production goes to because they run the ball so much.
Um, so but at the in the end, you know? So I would have to say If you rate the's on all five, you've got Dallas linebacker sitting in number one.
Then it's probably gonna be a tie between Arizona Buffalo.
I'm going to give the I'm going to give the edge to Arizona for second.
And then we're gonna throw in Buffalo and Carolina, probably tied at third and then Washington knocking on the door there.
So that's the top five matchups for, as of right now on paper for the inside linebackers for the rest of the season.
Uh, I hope that somebody found that helpful.
We could quote all these snaps.
I'm telling you, these guys that I mentioned, they're all full time players.
You do have that drama going on with Cardinals.
You're just gonna have to figure that out.
Who's playing Campbell or Simmons? Um, you know, and be a little bit of cautious, too, if it is Campbell, because he has been Nick stop.
But the main guys on here that air healthy have been running news, uh, 90 to 100% of the snaps and they're producing so that they feel comfortable and let him win, you know, let him win for you.
So? Well, I don't think we got Chris coming in, but I wanted that.
I want I want to get you to talk a little bit about your about your article this past week.
I I really the Xavi in Howard pick against the Broncos.
I thought would be, um, a strong, strong matchup for him with what he's been doing.
I don't have my numbers in front of him on the right pad right now, but what he did this weekend was very impressive.
Against the Broncos, I expected, um Ah, high production week.
I did not expect it to be this, um, good at all.
He Yeah, he got six solo tackles, uh, to pass defense defended.
And an interception.
Yeah, it's quality number.
You know, they they're not good at what they're supposed to be.
I hate talking about them like they're my team. Sucks.
E knew this was gonna happen.
I thought he would be my number one pick, and he showed up.
And I hope somebody picked him up.
Or if somebody e hope they did because he put up a good 22 to 25 points and leaves Nice.
My other guy was, um, Fuller.
We'll see what he did.
Yeah, from Washington.
And folks, if you don't know anything about cornerbacks, cornerbacks could be flaky corner cornerbacks.
What? When I when I do.
You know, I've been doing this for a little bit longer than she has.
And I hate doing cornerback.
So I'm so happy she was willing to take this on because there's definitely a need for people.
But when When I'm when I'm going through 256 other players on the defense is doing start sit positions.
Cornerbacks was the least of my think so.
I'm really glad that she is taking this on.
So you got to realize that when people bike Roxanne are trying to help you with cornerbacks or they are one of the most flaky ist as inconsistency, uh, type player for I.
P is just it really fluctuates.
It really depends a lot on that offense that they're going against each week in the opposing wide receivers, quarterback and all this.
There's a lot more put into it for the corners.
So I'm sorry, Roxanne, go right ahead.
My other pick was the blessing, um, Austin from the Jets.
He got put on IR, so we didn't get to see what he would have done.
And Kendall Fuller from the Washington football team.
He got to solo tackles and to pass defended.
So he produced points for you if you picked him up.
Not like Xavi and Howard, but he was still a hit for me on that.
I will have a few more this week.
I'm hoping to get five or six guys out there for you guys going up.
There's some great matchups this week.
Should have an article out in the morning about him So And we've talked about this before on getting defensive.
You know, the major thing.
And when it comes to I d.
P is, don't take the fat ass zero, you know? And we've seen it with, like with Aaron.
Donald. You know, the matchup went right.
He got a fat zero.
Uh, we've had multiple players, and I deep happened.
It's it's a history thing.
It's not just this year.
So you know, when Roxanne And then when it goes searching for these guys, they find the right situation.
On paper, they fight.
They look at the offense and everything, and they stick their necks out.
They they're doing it and they're gonna hit.
And they might not have came out and scored a touchdown.
Five interceptions and 50 tackles.
But that's not happening.
You know, your unrealistic if you're going to get there.
The main thing is to find somebody that's going to be a solid producer.
You don't take half at zero, right? So what I do, I'm I'm dry.
If you want to close this out, we'll call today.
Thank you for joining us on Monday morning.
We'll see you again next week.
Good luck to everybody and have a good escaping also.
See you next Monday at 10.
