the show or I'm active arm breaking over There is the healthy, wealthy and wise Andrew.
No time for a middle name. Mackiewicz.
When I wake up after the Giants don't play on Sunday, I have this, like emptiness inside.
I don't know, like it was fine to be ableto watch Red zone for an entire day and not worry about things.
But I kind of miss our three and seven New York football giants.
Listen, there is something weird that happens on a bye week, right, because as we we talked on Friday and you lay all this information out and then normally we think and then we'll come in on Monday and we'll break down all of that information and instead you go.
And now we wait on now, just and now just another What feels like.
The weird thing is to on a bye week now you feel like it's like, Well, it almost feels like it's like three weeks away.
You know, it's been now without so long, the bye week and another week before you'll see the Giants get on the field Well, And also, there's Thursday games for Thanksgiving.
So, like you're going to see a bunch more games before you get to your games.
You're like, Are they ever gonna play again? Right? In a lot of ways, it's unacceptable.
I'm gonna write a sternly worded letter to the commission of the NFL, but that being the case, we come in, of course, and there's still plenty to break down in regards to the Giants.
Before we get into it, let's go ahead and whip ourselves around the league in the news.
The Sunday slate.
Let's just have some fun here, buddy, because the Giants didn't have to play.
And yet there was some really good games and maybe some some things that we learned about other teams around the league.
What were some of the games that you saw on Sunday? Well, I think there is.
The simple answer is like water is wet.
Patrick Mahomes is good, like I think we can pretty much established like he's really good.
To be honest, we were just talking before this.
I think you know, we both agree that it spoke more about the Raiders than it did the Chiefs that the Raiders can actually play, compete and challenge them potentially in the playoffs.
So for me, that that one was was pretty interesting.
You know, I actually think watching Justin Herbert of the L.
A Chargers was one of the big takeaways from May.
I know it's against the Jets.
I know they're not very good, but every week this guy slinging the ball all over the yard and I am I am way Mawr impressed than I was with Justin Herbert, you know yesterday than I was three months ago, six months ago.
You know, right before the draft.
Well, and that's what's interesting to write, because we've talked about it with Daniel Jones and a lot of rookie quarterbacks, and we usually say, and it's like a guy like Sam Donald who feels like maybe he's been broken by the Jets that they played against in that game.
But there's so many so many young quarterbacks like that where you go out, you know it's hard.
Is the team good enough? The offensive line play? Does he have the weapons? All those things and what you can say for Justin Herbert is listen like he's already shown it right in spite of what he has or doesn't have on that team.
I think if you're the Chargers by happenstance, that that Tyrod Taylor gets injured while they're trying to give him an injection, ends up throwing this kid in.
They didn't have any intention of starting him this year, and now he gets in there and all of a sudden there timeline gets to ramp up that much quicker.
Because, by the way, despite of winning yesterday, they're still losing the majority of their games.
They're still gonna be in a good draft spot to be able Thio supplement what they have now, like if you're the Chargers, all of a sudden, you go great.
Maybe we're a year ahead of schedule now, in terms of what we have our expectations for around this quarterback.
You know, it's funny and this will be a little bit off tangent.
But speaking about Justin Herbert, it's like, you know, there's the age old saying that's like, You shouldn't lose your starting position to an injury and and like I fully get that because they don't want players to play hurt.
And maybe you know, have serious consequences that they should be reassured that they get their job back.
But like that's not really how life works.
Like if Justin Herbert comes in and he looks significantly better than you did in the in the few games that you had played for the team like it was obviously glaring that Justin Herbert is ready for the big time and should start.
So like it's just it's just funny how those things play out right at him.
Yeah, and I guess I I do wonder if they saw some of that in training camp.
Remember, not a lot of training camp asi.
So in a normal year, I wouldn't have been surprised if Herbert outright won the starting job in a normal training camp.
And I think you would have seen those flashes and said, Listen, the proofs here, we're going to go with him They hedge their bets because they don't want to throw them out there, you know, ill prepared.
And now we find ourselves with another rookie quarterback making some pretty good statements in the NFL.
Thea, other game that jumped out to me yesterday, was obviously that Packers Colts game.
It ends up going over time.
You can nitpick the fact that it ends up being about a scandal in that kind of loses the game for the Packers with that fumble as they get under way over time, leads to an easy field goal, relatively speaking for black and ship for them to win.
But you know, my take away from there was that the Colts it's been interesting cause they played teams that maybe aren't that good offensively or don't have an even remotely decent enough defense.
The Packers are this nice.
I mean, very strong on offense, as we know, dealing with some injuries on that side of the ball throughout the start of the season.
Defensively, there, a middle of the pack kind of defense.
And this just felt like, Ah, good sample size.
If you're in Indianapolis Colts fan to say okay, you know, this is now two weeks, three weeks in a row, where we're kind of proving that we can go up against the high powered offense and then still hold their own defensively.
Listen, did they shut them down? No, you give up 31 points, but But if you're gonna play Aaron Rodgers and listen in the A F.
C, if you're gonna have to play the homes of the world It's just good to know that you can balance yourself on both sides of the ball and be in those games.
So I I think it's been a slow rise for a relatively small market team with an old quarterback who continues to look pretty strong for them.
Had some injury concerns yesterday as well. But good.
I think it's good for the Colts and I think that they're building a stronger and stronger case that they're going to be a difficult matchup in the playoffs.
It's pretty simple when I watched one of those games like the the outcome, as as just a casual fan.
It is irrelevant to me like what I saw in the field was two really good teams that, like was decided by a coin.
Flip it the end of the game like that's That's how these things work.
And it It's just kind of a benchmark to say the Colts defense is good and they can play well as a team.
The Packers have one of the best quarterbacks in the league who, uh man, when they were when they were down three and towards the end of regulation he threw a 50 yard bomb from his own end zone.
It's like there's only a couple quarterbacks that could do that in the league.
And, like Aaron, Rodgers is one of those guys on the list.
Um, you know, the only other take away that I have that will kind of lead us into our next segment.
Uh, is I look at the Colts very similar to the Browns in terms off.
You know, the quarterback.
It's still a question mark, but their defense seems to be keeping them or carrying them in in each and every game.
And that's what that's what I think.
The as the general, I think state of the NFL's you worked with the seasons supposed to be.
Keep checking off boxes, right, eliminating question marks.
And that's what you're getting down on stretchers like, Are we still strong enough of this position? Eyes that gonna end up being the problem that holds us back from having a deep playoff front? The last thing before we do move on into what is a course quickly rising up the charts.
One of most popular seconds here on a GP um, is the Baltimore Ravens game.
I'll just I'll throw this out there and I sent it over on the social media box this morning.
I think that a coaching change is coming in Baltimore on.
I think it's coming a lot sooner than people anticipated you can.
You can slice it any way that you want and say that Lamar Jackson has had his regression points.
You can say that.
You know, different positions haven't been as effective as you want them to be.
Do they have enough weapons at the wide receiver position? All that stuff.
But when you see what goes on there with and the way they covered it, when it's the head coach out of midfield arguing with the Titans defense as they do a little dance around that that logo there in Baltimore and none of the players air out there contesting it, none of them are fighting for it.
When you have a lot more, Jackson saying, defense's other teams have just been kind of on point about what plays we're gonna run like something's happening there in Baltimore, and as strong as hard ball has been, I think that if your ownership you're gonna look at it and say well when we drafted Lamar Jackson, it was about this very tightly, even tighter than a rookie contract. It was about.
Let's maximize his athleticism and all the strength that he has.
And let's do it in a hurry.
And you're seeing a big step back here, especially on the offensive side of the ball for them.
So I wouldn't be totally blown away if there was a change in the offseason, depending on what the coaching market looks like.
You know Jason Garrett on the New York football Giants.
If his name is thrown out there, a be enemy off of the Chiefs.
If he's gonna be out there like there are going to be names out there that I I I'm going to be.
I won't be shocked if you hear the potential of it, least questions in Baltimore and maybe some overhauls, if not at the head coaching spot.
Big changes in terms of coordinators on that team.
I mean that it's that it's surprising to me that you know that you think John Harbaugh is going I I think he's the one that gives them stability and obviously he's proven to be a great coach in the NFL.
He's a top five coach in league.
Um, but But you're right.
What things? Things were really weird in Baltimore right now.
Like they are super talented all over the field, right? Their offense has weapons everywhere, like you have Hollywood brown.
On the outside, you've got a three headed monster of running backs that compound the rock.
You've got a dual threat, multi dynamic like transformational quarterback.
You have one of the top four tight ends in the league and, like you're only putting up 15 to 20 points.
You can't move the ball when you're when you're playing from behind.
You have a all very one dimensional game plan, and it's You have to play from the lead and you have to continue to grow that lead and pound the rock afterwards.
It is weird, and you know, it is ironic that the Giants will be facing that Baltimore Ravens team later on the season.
The fact that they're kind of in shambles, we kind of hope that continues because that's a game we've earmarked as like an easy loss.
And now you're like, well, the way the Giants defense is playing May maybe we could keep ourselves in this game knowing that they're They're a little bit dysfunctional right now.
You better believe it, man.
And in regards to, of course, our New York football giants.
Because that's the podcast that we are.
We don't people get fearful here as we work our way through the show and not be covering the Giants.
Not be talking about things that most directly impact the Giants.
We will see the Baltimore Ravens, so let's see how they stabilize or continue to destabilize in the coming weeks.
But as we move into, as I said, rise in the charts.
First off last off, first off last off Andy, first off the division.
Opponents took the field on Sunday, as we know, and Big Blue has their eyes on them.
And this is where we get to dio something that we don't get to do all the time.
But it certainly feels good, and that's give ourselves the proverbial pats on the back to you.
Ah, Pat on the back as the Eagles lost on Sunday and I guess Carson gonna Wentz I mean, that's pretty much all you need to say about them right? Oh, no, no, that is not all I need that that is not all I need to say, because this it just feels so good to say.
Carson Wentz, in my opinion, is the worst quarterback in the NFL Right now.
Like that is how bad Carson Wentz is.
There are guys like Gardner Minshew there.
There's random people playing it, you know, in different places.
We have Joe Flacco starting for for the for the Jets.
Carson Wentz is the worst quarterback in the league, based on his play.
The fact that he turns the ball over the fact that he doesn't complete that many passes the fact that he makes $35 million a year like you take all of that into account.
Adam, let me just explain to you what Carson once did on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns to lose that game.
Breaking down Carson Wentz threw two interceptions.
One of them was a pick six that was returned for a touchdown.
He was sacked five times and he was also one of those five sacks was for safety.
He was terrible.
He threw for 235 yards, a little bit of that of smoking mirrors, because they were down 15, 20 points at the end of the game.
And Cleveland's playing, you know, a little bit of a prevent defense.
Carson Wentz is horrible, and that's why when everyone said the Eagles are gonna win the division and we have talked about how many wins is it gonna take? I'm like the Eagles are relevant because they may not win another football game the entire year because Carson Wentz is that bad on That was the tip of the cap to you, right, because with yesterday's loss, it really makes it a lot easier to see them.
And just the general play of corporate went making a lot easier to see this team tumbling down the NFC East on the other side of it, and the proverbial feather in my cap is that Dallas wins yesterday on and in doing so sets up what we talked about last time of.
There's the potential of Week 17 New York football giants against the Dallas Cowboys.
Ball in the hand of Daniel Jones with a chance to win or lose the division like everything could very much hang in the balance one against that last week.
So, you know, that was all predicated on the idea of Not that we're sitting here saying Andy Dalton is one of the top seven quarterbacks in the league, but he does offer a significant upgrade and stability in that position for them.
So if you're gonna have Andy Dalton going down the stretch of the season, then it's gonna offer you at least an opportunity to be competitive.
And to make it difficult for the Giants is the outright.
So you know it's some.
It's good for us and also it makes it interesting because as well touch on on Washington F T as well.
But now all of a sudden it's in everybody, right? This is in everybody's involved kind of scenario, as you have the updated numbers, talking about odds to get this division now, right? Yeah, but I think going back to that Dallas game, the thing to me that's crazy is the Vikings like I just don't understand them.
I don't cause, like, if I told you going into the game, Kirk Cousins was gonna go for 314 yards, three touchdowns.
Have 140 passer rating.
Dalvin Cook was gonna get almost 30 carries on the ground.
Have 115 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
You'd be like, Oh, man, Dallas lost this game by 35 points.
Like you would think so, based on just hearing that right? And then And then you look at it and you're like, No, but Ezekiel Elliott got going.
Andy Dalton played well enough for the team to win, and they got the W.
But yeah, it's scary to think having Andy Dalton back there does change the dynamic.
But from someone like Garrett Gilbert like, it gives them a serviceable replacement that allows their team to have a shot.
I will just say quickly on on the Minnesota side of things.
Remember, we just highlighted at the top of the show.
Green Bay loses.
So they're seven and three.
If you had won that game, your five and five, you're tied right there with the Chicago Bears.
And then you could just start to think about right.
What does it look like for us? Where do we need to go from here in order to give ourselves a chance.
And when you know you're gonna have the Panthers and the Jaguars.
Coming up here is well, as another game against the Bears and the Detroit Lions to close out the season like the path was laid out before you.
And now if you're the Vikings for I mean for four and six, right and the same thing we say about the Giants, we're excited about the prospect of being competitive.
And also there's a reality to being a three and seven football team like you are what your record says you are right.
So if you're the Minnesota Vikings, you have to take a step back and go and were four and six like that's what we are.
And it's pretty hard to look at the next six games for them and say, Now go win five of those just to get to nine and seven to maybe have a chance in a wild card spot in a very crowded NFC side. Note. Adam.
The N F C North goes winless this weekend.
The NFC East has a winning record goes to and one now Everyone says that were like the worst division ever, historically, But let's just let's just call a spade a spade.
The NFC East played better than the NFC North did well, and as we talked about now, we'll get into these odds to win the division where we said, Listen, the Giants have three wins.
They've all come in the division.
So we want to find a way to get winds outside of the division to kind of legitimized the quality of play that we've seen there.
So what do we have here now from last week to this week? Where did the giant stand with another long wait before? We're gonna go ahead and get into what we think is possible for them, noting as well, by the way, not to gloss over.
The Washington football team also won on Sunday as well as the relative, you know, bottom dweller of the division.
But they also got a victory.
Yeah, that was very noteworthy.
You know, the Bengals are a team that's up and coming with with their rookie quarterback, Joe Burrow, who much like Justin Herbert, looked amazing when he's out there.
And the reason why Bengals were losing games is not because of Joe Burrow.
It's because the rest of the roster is not very good.
Washington did exactly what we thought they would do, and we had talked about it on Friday.
Like how we thought some of these games, we're gonna go.
The Browns did what we needed them to do, and they just beat up Carson Wentz in the Eagles and they got them out of there.
I was hoping that Bengal we talked about like, What do you want to see? You don't want the Bengals still dominant knowing that the Giants have them coming up.
Um, and you know, there was a massive, huge injury.
Joe Burrow, uh, in a really gruesome, uh, kind of video where he plants his foot and a guy rolls up on him and his whole body collapses on underneath his knee.
He said it right away.
He said, I'll see you next year on Twitter early identifying that he had a torn A C l to your point.
This puts everyone back in play in the East.
This this kind of slate of games with Washington and Dallas, who had the bottom two chances to be able to win the NFC East have moved up, the Eagles have slightly changed a little bit, and the Giants not playing it all kind of stuck around in the middle.
Um, do you want to talk a little bit about the odds themselves? Well, yeah.
Listen, man, as we start to dive into it because last week we were talking about how essentially the Eagles were very heavily favored to be able to take this division, and everybody else was in this weird, murky backpack.
Now, all of a sudden, it opens up a lot more.
The Eagles come down to reality.
And then, because we didn't play, the Cowboys actually jump here, right? They make a move and maybe feel even more in the driver's seat based on yesterday's games, combining then the Eagles the right.
Like it's like Eagles have the best odds here.
But do you really? When you got Carson Wentz under center right now? Yeah, like off all the teams, even if the money was all even on.
Like like you still pick the Eagles like who's who's throwing now Money on the Eagles right now like that to me would be insane.
Like even if all things were considered.
You look at the updated rankings.
I do find it interesting that the Giants are sitting there at third now after not playing, they put that much emphasis on the Dallas victory, Um, rather than anything else the Giants did.
But what's even more noteworthy is the Giants.
Odds aren't very good, even though the Giants have the Bengals coming up and they're playing the Joe Burrow less Bengals in that game.
Well, you know, in a footnote to you said about the weight you're putting on the wind for Dallas, remember? So one of the things I was just curious about inside the division You can't do this in any of your schedule.
You don't get to just take a game off of it.
But as we've all referred to, that 40 Niners game is being the what happened weekend.
I don't recall they already had their bye week earlier in the year, but if you take that game out of it, the Giants are, and this isn't a glowing a glowing statement.
They're minus 11 point differential overall, and every team in this division is negative.
In terms of point differential.
Washington actually write out minus 27 has that best differential, but even more important is inside of the division.
The Giants are currently three and two in the division, Dallas just one and two in the division.
So it's interesting to think about that, even though the wind gets them to three and seven.
You would think that.
Then you go to the division games and what that looks like now, of course, want that.
That win for Dallas came against the New York football Giants, right? So there's this weird swirl of information and thought processes that has to go into it.
But again, I think right now and if you, I'll be very curious to see where these numbers land after this upcoming weekend.
Even if, say, the Cowboys win and we do as well, I'll be very curious to see where the numbers land because you're going to say another sample size from Andy Dalton, back off of injury and then another potentially really solid performance for the New York Giants and Daniel Jones, right? And that could shift that you could be looking the same records of four and seven for both these teams and the Giants.
Take that jump into the divisional hierarchy.
It's an interesting slate of games upcoming in this next week.
As you said, it's gonna be really indicative.
You've got the Washington football team and the Dallas Cowboys playing on Thanksgiving.
Who would have thought that that was going to be a huge game, like five weeks ago? Like you would have never even thought like once Dak Prescott goes down, You think this game is gonna be in obscurity, But now it's a hugely important game.
The winner of that game, you know, it is potentially well, not even potentially will be leading the NFC East at the end of Thanksgiving.
So that is how big that game is.
You look at the Giants.
The Giants are up against the Cincinnati Bengals, but no Joe Burrow.
The Giants have the best game of the four in terms of who you wanna be playing against.
And then you look at the Eagles, they get the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night.
And guess what? You're going to see a lot more of what you just saw from the Eagles turning the ball over and losing games.
So at the end of this week, you're you're right on the money.
One of those teams between Dallas and Washington is going to shoot up in the odds.
The Eagles are gonna fall back and the Giants there probably gonna be around the same spot that they are, even though they're the ones that are expecting to win big time.
Shout out to Ewing should have dunked your Knicks fan.
You probably know what that feels like for sending over some popcorn on the Livestream.
You're 100% correct.
And the interesting thing again.
I'll go back inside those numbers this Thursday night matchup, the Thanksgiving game between Dallas and Washington.
I I don't know which side of the fence I'm on about it because we talk about the number of differential.
Remember that riverboat Ron went for it against our Giants, and that actually gave them a loss that are potentially going over time? It could have had a win, so they could be sitting here right now at four and six instead of three and seven.
So it's really weird, right? I think I'd rather see it's so hard to say, Maybe I'd rather see Dallas win and set up that final game of the season matchup to say, Hey, if we take care of our business and we be Dallas, we can go ahead and hand the law.
We can't hand Washington another loss this year.
We've already taken those.
Now I know our head to head matchup is better because we swept them so but it's really weird, Like on paper.
I looked at that and I go Whatever Alex Smith is, you know.
And when you look at that team, by the way, this is This is really where I'll go with it on.
Then we'll move on here.
But is Dallas defense isn't good.
I think that they're, you know, Andy Dalton for whatever he is, it's up and down.
I don't know what to expect from the offense.
Maybe they can be good.
Maybe they can be consistent.
But when you look at Washington, I see great at is rushing and young talent on the defensive side of the ball.
I see young receivers in McLaurin.
You have Gibson in the backfield like there's a lot there.
A lot of you know, exciting young kind of talent there that I think can be dangerous down the stretch.
I probably would have Thio look inside of their schedules a little bit and say, You know, when you goto Washington and they know after Dallas, you're gonna get picked.
By the way, this is probably why Washington, maybe you you would take them beating Dallas here because they'll play the Steelers.
Ah, beat up 40 Niners team and then they're going to get the Seahawks and the Panthers before the Eagles at the end.
I don't know, you know.
It's such a toss about who I want, what I want.
I just I just walked around in the most beautiful circles on what I think I need from this game on Thursday, as you're saying, I think I want doubts.
I'm shaking my head.
No, no, no, no, no, no and Adam, just to make it a little bit easier on you because because I could feel you're being pulled in two different directions.
Washington has the longest odds to win the division and it's because their schedule is really difficult and we already have the head to head against Washington, so giving the team with the worst odds with with a very difficult schedule that we already have the head to head matchup like give them the win against Dallas Berry Dallas and who? Well, as a John fan, wants to see Dallas winning on Thanksgiving anyway.
Uh, well, that's the thing to write, like Alex Smith beating the Dallas Cowboys.
How sweet would that be on on on Thanksgiving Day? And what I will say is, as I did this in the real time, when you go over to Dallas is scheduled after Washington, they're gonna get a Ravens team that's in a bit of a murky state right now.
Can't seem to find their rhythm, but then they'll get the Bangles.
Without Joe Burrow.
They'll get they completely decimated.
40 Niners, then the Eagles before they play us.
So their schedule ahead, you would say.
Not easy, necessarily know.
No NFL schedule is, but they have the easier path you're leading up to our Week 17 matchup, so you'd rather just throw in extra loss on their board.
As you say, Hey, if you're hiring the odd standings, let's go ahead and bump you down one.
And if they take a loss there, that automatically will put them again in a difficult spot because that'll be another division lost for them is well, so Well, well, well, hope on that.
We'll think on that, and we'll see what happens on Thanksgiving.
Well, Adam, you can move over and talk a little bit about at the end of the day.
What is going on with this Giants team against the Bengals? Now that we know Joe Burrow will not be there? Who to me, it might be the I know this sounds crazy, but he might be the most important player for any team outside of like Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers because they are so bad without him that, like he makes them at least a semi functional team.
And we'll talk about why in a minute.
But any initial thoughts about this game for the New York football giants? Well, my first thought is buddy, remember? It's at the end of the day.
At the end of the day, you know, you gotta you gotta You gotta bring that in.
It's like a nice soft landing at the end of the day, But at the end of the day, Andy, uh, it's interesting to your point, because when we talk about this game ahead, the early line is you found it before we jumped on here has the Giants giving 4.
5 points against the Bangles next week.
And you first of all, you say, Hey, the Giants air favorite in the game.
We don't often have that around this season, so they are favored as they come into this match up.
Obviously, as we highlighted before a gruesome injury for Joe Burrow, which I will say, I'll take a brief pause here because we want to get into where the line was pre injury and post injury.
But it's really crucial.
We talked about earlier.
Herbert, right? And you what? What you worry about? It's not just the development of a quarterback, but the health of the quarterback, right? And one of the things that that has been getting said consistently throughout the year is boy Joe Burrow is is playing for his life out there, and then when he gets a chance to make a big play, he's doing it and he's showing off why he was worth the high draft pick and why Cincinnati is in a great position there.
And also when you have bad offensive line play, this is the massive risk that you run around having a young quarterback out there.
I'm just saying, like, you know, how much more mitigated would it be if it's Joe Burrow behind? Even New England Patriots line right, Which isn't a great line this year in particular, but just a group of veteran ish kind of guys that at least know it, or on a staff that understands how to work and not a rookie head coach.
So, you know, really risk when you put a guy out there like that.
And as good as the returns have been on Joe Burrow, there's probably something in behind closed doors in Cincinnati is going.
Boy, I wouldn't have hated if we had had a veteran to throw out there this year, right? Like, you know, if you could have saved him from himself as much as you want to see him.
If you had a veteran there, you would've been happy to keep Joe Burrow nice and healthy and see him on the field next season.
Well, the other thing about the Bengals that that I think is noteworthy is Andy Dalton was their starting quarterback last year.
We just mentioned Andy Dalton being a serviceable quarterback in the last segment.
When we talked about the Dallas Cowboys so clearly while they needed to upgrade the quarterback position with Joe Burrow, he wasn't the reason why they lost as many games as they did to get that number one pick.
It was the rest of the roster being devoid of talent that caused them to be able to get the number one pick.
So when you think about like, you know, you move out, Andy Dalton, you bring in Joe Burrow.
They still have so many different places that they need to upgrade across the entire roster.
And you know, they signed Joe Mixon.
I believe, Teoh a multi year extension.
He's not gonna play.
He's their their best positional player.
Um, you know, out there being able to give Joe Burrow a little bit of reprieve through the run game, he's not going to be there anymore.
So when you look at this roster, it is brutal and that, to me, is no secret why the Giants are favored by 4.
5 going into the game and where did that line come from? Though prior right so pretty injury.
We had it and we played the guessing game.
And so that's when you want to do it live. Risk reward.
I could look like a fool if I got it wrong, but when you threw it out there, I I jumped the gun and said, plus 2.
5 and I was on point about where it was.
So think about that line shift when we say the quality team around right there.
And there's some weapons at wide receiver, by the way and in a Higgins, and we know that Green is still on this roster.
But when? So that means this is a touchdown swing in this game because Joe Burrow went out.
And to your point, it's few and far between when you look around the league and it's not necessarily about the the quality of the quarterback play alone, but relative to the rosters.
The whole right, like you can take quarterbacks off the teams and the line doesn't move that much because they say, Well, the defense is pretty solid.
They still have good weapons.
They have a nice running game.
The offensive line play a strong no.
When Joe Burrow goes out they go.
Yep, that's a seven point swing that ends up having so the Giants would have been getting points in this game if Joe Burrow was healthy on the Yeah, there's some bookies even had the Bengals by a field goal favored by a field goal in the game.
And that was to my point before.
I don't wanna over pontificate and say that Joe Burrow is the best quarterback in the league, but because of the roster construction and then using that that number one overall pick on him, they literally have nothing when he's not there and seven for anyone that doesn't understand betting lines.
Moving the line seven points because of ah, of a particular player injury is enormous.
It's almost unheard off.
There's maybe five seven max players that would even move the line three or four points.
Never mind seven points like when you as a prime example, I will tell you whether mixed Robiskie or Nick Foles starts for the Chicago Bears.
The line won't really move when you know Luton, Jake, Luton or Gardner.
Minshew is starting for the Jaguars.
The line does not move when Joe Burrow isn't playing for the Bengals.
It moves a full touchdown like that is crazy, like people like Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers get that type of live movement when they're not playing because their value over the replacement player is so much greater.
And by the by, as you mentioned that because it could be thinly that will be under center for the Bangles.
It makes you wonder, Cincinnati goes, Hey, I know it was time to move on, etcetera, etcetera.
But we wouldn't hate having Andy Dalton on our team right now to step in and try to stem the tide.
You over tremendous season now, because they're not really playing for anything, particularly this year.
It's all relative, but you wouldn't hate to have ah, quality backup.
At least someone has more experience, obviously than a friendly.
That being the case, a quick footnote here on on what you're going to get on the back end.
If you end up wanting to listen to this on the podcast, you're going to get a combination of both today's episode and then Also Friday's episode is we had a technical difficulty.
There s so we're gonna merge them together, give you a ton of great information going over the Colombo firing, Thinking about what we want to see over the rest of this bye week here ahead of the match up with the Bangles down the road So it's gonna be a jam packed one is gonna be a bigger, longer podcast episode.
Feel free to enjoy that will come in on Wednesday and break down a couple of co vid 19 positive tests that came out here.
Ah, few different spots.
We've also got them, I think, on the defensive side of the ball as well, Not not necessarily major players, but not insignificant entirely.
So it kind of maybe lucked out that we never hoped for injuries that burrow is not gonna be available in this game because we may not be coming out at 100%.
But we'll, of course, update those midweek show.
And then we'll actually take a look here because, as we know friends, Thursday is going to be Thanksgiving will be spending time with our families, so there may be an adjusted schedule around that Friday morning epi.
I think maybe we both deserve a little bit of a holiday break, so we'll announce that on Wednesday and our plans there as well.
