but she only Taki Taki Pick six to the hospital grounds with help.
For what? Now he fires present at of the end zone. Touchdown.
First Touchdown grab of the year for Richard Rodgers.
Big smile on the face of Fletcher Cox Setting it all up.
Well, at first I mean Wences working the left side of the formation as he comes back, we'll get a great job up front, allowing them to attack the line of scrimmage on the uptick.
And then he goes back to his third receiver, Richard Rodgers.
Running the scene finds him late.
That's all the time way.
Always discuss this so huge.
Third down here for this Brownies defense.
Gordon is there.
It's two points for the Browns with that is a three second opportunity to square up good cut by shop.
What it guys over Nick shop with a big gainer? Yeah.
Still want to speak? Still going inside the 10 11 54 hard earned pin bowling yards from Nick Chubb.
That old man Nick Chubb right off the bat watch Nick Chubb turned back into the line of scrimmage right here, Fam.
Well, stiff arm.
Not today, buddy.
Not today, Nick.
Job just stiff arming people.
Look right here.
Welcome to the NFL, Joe. Postman. Yeah.
Look! A baker! A second goal from five three.
Hunt slips away from Edwards Poodles his way.
Touchstone Kareem Hunt way! All right, everybody.
Not really the way we wanna be.
Live what A year to start an Eagles podcast equals fall to the Cleveland Browns 22 17 Just bears.
Dude, don't try this freaking lost lightly.
I'm not I'm I'm depressed.
Right now they're 36 and one.
I mean I mean, you go through the initial comments.
Pathetic team. Wow.
You know e would not have an embarrassment for, uh, there's so many fingers to be pointed and so much blame to go around.
We are here live to break down all the blame to everybody We got Chip, We got Spazio Jeff who? I know it's gonna really live up to that nickname today, Will stifle.
I'm not gonna talk you guys g o.
What is there to talk about? We were at least showing up to do our job today.
I'm sure that all of our followers air will appreciate that.
I wish that the Eagles showed up to do their job today.
Um, and I asked you guys before we went live.
Is there anything else you would like to talk about today? Because I e fills pizza, Bacon? He could make a pizza live.
Look, I'm wearing one month till the Sixer season starts, so I mean, I'm switching.
I got got my Phillies hat ready to g o.
You know, this is pathetic.
You know, I'm gonna I'm gonna start the conversation because like you said, we're here.
We've got to do what we gotta dio I wrote down three words towards the end of the game and it's three words that you could point.
You could point it at everybody.
The coaches, the players and, you know, the front office preparation, discipline and responsibility.
There's no preparation on this team.
There's no discipline from any of the players.
And no one is taking responsibility for the way this team is playing.
I mean, as the headline, the bottom says embarrassed.
And it's because of those three words.
There's nobody doing any of those three things, so I don't know which one of those three words you guys want to tackle first.
What's the blame? Let's zoom start something that has become a problem with this Eagles team.
You find something that works and then you get rid of it.
So we're just gonna say, you know, we understand that our running game right now is our strongest part of our offense.
We I hope that any basic understanding Eagles fan understands that it's obvious.
So we committed to the run game in the first half.
Oh, the first prize.
You take the first drive out of the equation here.
In the first half, we rushed the ball 19 times for 96 yards in the second half.
Six rushes, 10 yards.
It was It was 40.
It was windiest. Could be.
It was raining cats and dogs out there and we threw the ball 35 times.
The total rushes Well, yeah, well, you have to realize that was that fourth quarter.
I would say when they got down by double digits, they were basically throwing that they were already doing that.
They ran the ball six times in the second half.
Well, I'll see how they ran the ball six times in the second half, but they also scored 17 points in the second half.
Compared Thio line.
That's awful, awful thing to say right there, but I'm saying you can't look at the You can't just look at the numbers of Yeah, they threw 35 times in 25 times because in that first half they were rushing the ball like like uh, like Chips said.
I think the first half it was 22 to like 10 or 12 passes.
And with 19 rush yards, Carson threw the ball 12 times.
Yeah, exactly 12.
So I'll say the fact that they were committed to the run game, these, like chips said they got away from their offensive attack.
They got away from their game plan and in those situations.
But even when you start to keeping opposing defense honest, you can't just continue the run, run, run, run, run Granted, I was saying certain situations he should have ran.
I think there's like a third and short third and short and they decided to passport.
You start to keep him honest, but the one word that you said I want to bring up is, I would say, the lack of discipline and and and that's the one thing that this team has lacking all season long.
We keep on making excuses on why they were trying to pinpoint why this team is bad week in and week out.
And what's the problem? One week, we say it's injuries.
One week, we say it's the defense.
One week, we say it's Carson.
One week we say the turnovers, and then whenever we do those things, there's always something else that comes up.
This week, I'll say that the three turnovers, consistent penalties and just the penalties, especially we talked about in the halftime show, chipping three first half offsides penalties on the defense defense line.
Just the line just on the defensive line.
That's discipline right there, Okay, a holding penalty or passive interference.
Sometimes that could be being you over aggressive or or making up for miss Take offsides on a defensive line is discipline and players like Brandon Graham, great players and you hear every single football peewee coach in America screaming the basic watch the ball.
I think that's what is most infuriating to me as an Eagles fan is the mistakes that are being made, the decisions that are being made, the calls are being made could be broken down by any person with basic football knowledge in the entire country.
And we refuse to make the changes.
I mean, I wanna I wanna bring up old comments to comments here that we've already post it once.
Okay, that's not the one that was here It is. Six has made a trade. Obviously.
Now, Peterson, where were the questions? They're just coming in too fast.
This is the one, Carson.
It's on me, Doug.
It was free. Frustrating.
You know that That comes down to no one. Taking responsibility.
So what's it gonna take? How bad does this season have to get for Jeffrey? Lori the man at the top? The man that signs the paychecks toe hold everybody.
And I said it last because I was just so ****ed off last week.
This week I'm or depressed.
But what's it gonna take this year for Jeffrey? Lori Toe, hold everybody from how we straight on down responsible Because no one's taken responsibility.
And if somebody is not gonna take responsibility, that's on the owner.
if my important that my pizza shop suck and I just let them keep doing a bad job showing up late, that's on May I have nobody to blame but myself.
This is on Jeffrey Lori at the top, working its way down the responsibility that no one will take for how bad this team has been put together, how bad they've been practicing, how bad they've been playing everything.
It comes down from the top, and what's it going to take? I think the question you also have to ask is, Are you looking for the change to happen mid season? Because we know, with the exception of extreme situations like Chip Kelly, Jeffrey Lurie doesn't say a single word during the course of the season.
Well, he isn't saying course during the season.
I'm sure he still talks to his head.
Coach doesn't do it in public.
But I would say this might be the game because you look at this final stretch of the season and surprisingly like we keep on saying weekend.
We all know how it's happening, but still they're still in contention for the playoffs.
Granted, I would say the fault problem the problem.
It is until until your contention they're not gonna do anything out of the ordinary what they're doing.
And I'll say It's like the old saying goes, You keep on, you keep on doing something until it's or whatever help is saying is the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a the distance between insanity and and and success is only distance between sanity and insanity is measured by success.
Okay, so they're two phrases right there.
You know, you said they're not gonna fire somebody.
They're not gonna fire Doug.
Maybe maybe Jim Schwartz.
At some point, they're not gonna fire Doug or how a mid season.
But they should.
In my opinion, at this point, they need to send a statement.
You know, we talk about the preparation, the discipline, the responsibility, something at the last two minutes.
A game stuck out to me, and I would love later this week to find that video and play it on our next show.
When the Eagles got the ball back there right before they scored that late touchdown when they were punting the ball, the Cleveland Browns.
They flashed to.
They flash to Carson Wentz.
Carson Wentz had his coat on his raincoat on, and he went over to grab his helmet.
Okay, if you look at his face when he's grabbing his helmet, he did not want to grab his helmet, hoping the defense gave up a first down.
I actually get out of the game.
Look at the offensive line that he started the game with and look at the offensive line that he finished the game with and the offensive line that he started the game with still got him killed.
Jason Peter played a terrible game, almost to the point where you have to start having the question where you keep calling him.
You know the All Pro Jason Peters, the future Hall of Famer Jason Peters.
He played so bad today that he had to put that in question there.
I mean, I can't I can't wait till I don't want to announce what we're having on our show on Tuesday, cause I don't know if it's official or not yet.
I can't wait to bring that up.
If we get our guest on Tuesday.
Um You know, you can't blame Carson for the fault of the offensive line.
You just can't but like straight garbage.
Okay? I went from saying, Whence is elite whence is a top five quarterback in this league to me.
Just saying, Let me retire that hashtag until he gets it back together to now I'm saying I'm I've never flipped so much in 12 weeks of a season.
I'm now saying maybe a putting itself felt out there because you can't put Jalen hurts out there because Jalen Hurts is gonna get Beach.
You've got to do something once cannot continue to go out there.
He's gonna end up getting hurt because he's got so little confidence.
What is it? Until the fourth quarter that Doug finally rolled him out of the pocket until the fourth quarter.
And what happens? Carson completes a pass.
And you heard the broadcaster saying, Oh, he does a really good job throwing on the run like he does.
Basically, what I saw today was the game plan that they called for Baker.
Mayfield was tailor made for Carson Wentz.
If you look at it, Baker Mayfield in awful conditions through 22 passes and I think that was even more than they probably wanted Thio.
But since our secondary is just straight trash, they were able to tow 40 rushing attempts.
Okay, 22 tow 40.
Okay, that's that's the game plan that need to be for the Eagles today.
And I know some of those passes at the end of the game were just garbage time passing it all.
But still, it was pretty spread out even early in the game.
So way you see all these comments, who could blame them for the throws? You know? What will it take for? You know Doug Peterson to give up play calling teenagers team run by a bunch of idiots, you know? I mean, all these things are true statements.
He's not giving up play calling.
Let's be very clear about that.
And I know Derrick Gunn said it to Doug is not giving up play calling.
That is how he got a head coaching job in the NFL.
Actually, no, because he actually never really called plays in the NFL before he came because he worked under Andy, right? He called like for like, six quarters of actual game planning at all.
So I mean, e don't know.
I don't even know where I want to go with this show, like diving into the actual game itself at all.
I'm not even sure because it's just so frustrating at this point.
It's just start off that I would say You look at this game I was.
It was an embarrassment.
I would say this was a Cleveland Brown seen the last two weeks that scored a combined 16 points on offense the last two weeks, and it's been helped to 10 points or less four times this year.
And And they're also remember without their best pass rusher with Myles Garrett, who was put on the with this on Friday and wasn't one of their offensive alignment out as well.
Yeah, so the fact that they were still able to get the cars there was that one play that you tweeted about.
They got a three man rush and they still got the Carson Wentz.
This that car now Carson Creek.
Carson is missing.
The open targets a lot of coverage and all, but when your camp coming up with that, he is getting hit, and pressure at record pace is right now.
I mean, there's no, like eating the league in sacks.
Quarterback kids pressures and and we're on.
Lee, going into Week 12, set a career high for quarterback sacks in a season for him.
Hey, so those weeks to go and he's got weeks to go against teams that are going to do the exact same thing that Cleveland did, they're going to rush him out.
Of all the teams in the NFC East, they showed this.
We have the toughest route the rest of the way, and the Cowboys at two and seven, have one team, one team that has a winning record left.
We're gonna lose the Vikings today, so I'm not really concerned about Dallas, but again and I always bring this up and maybe it's it's just sound like a broken record.
But you know, hey, we have to do a better job is a broken record.
So I figured that to Philadelphia thing.
We could just be broken. Records do.
Do we want this Eagles team to make the playoffs? Well, as Drew says, Are we even gonna win another game this year? I don't think so.
I mean, there's no way going forward.
I know some of us pick the Eagles to win this week, and I know Eagles with other weeks that they've lost.
But there is zero chance zero chance the next four weeks that anybody can pick the Eagles to win the Game zero.
And it felt if Drew's WellPoint comes to fruition, they lose the rest of the games.
That's where I think you see Doug Peterson gang can if they get embarrassed down the stretch and they lose all these games.
Granted, it's against good, good competition.
Like like Chips said.
It's all against winning teams besides the NFC East opponents.
But if they lose the rest of games and go on of losing Skid of 78 games, the end the year Doug Peterson's job is done that let's try the only way I see Doug Peters one day.
If they get to four winds, you're saying Doug Peterson stays.
I'm gonna I agree there.
If we lose out, then that's a situation where you have a team that with no upshot but with at least four wins.
Yes, I think big changes would happen.
I think you would see the Jeffrey Lori forcing Hey, you need to go out and hire an offensive coordinator.
Hey, you have to go replace Jim Schwartz.
I think you see big changes, but I think you win one or two games he thinks, or the games are competitive.
If the Games are competitive and they're like not getting blown out or embarrassing did against against the Brown today, then he probably was gonna blow out, though.
But we owe thrown out to be embarrassed.
No, but I would say just just like we said, the mistakes, the constant issues, there's no progression with this football team And I was trying to get through before is I would say we keep on making all these excuses and and like the one the injuries were getting healthy.
What was the excuse today? I would say we were. We were healthy.
We got, We got a receivers back.
We're getting online back.
We got, we were getting player.
We got Sam Ali back and we still everybody else on the line went down.
Yeah, so way can't keep on having these excuses just plain and simple.
Just people need to admit and come to come to realization.
We're not a freaking good football team were absolutely garbage and it starts with Doug Peterson.
Something has to change.
I'll say Peterson, we keep on saying here, just got fired, play calling.
Jalen hurts something because obviously the only two, only two common denominators right now that haven't been changed or excuse or hasn't been fixed is the head coach and the quarterback.
And both of those things proved, well, that defensive coordinator.
But you have to say, the office was doing crap this game.
The defense actually held the problem.
He even did everything that you asked him to do for three quarters now being on the field as much as they were going against a team that can run the ball the way Cleveland can.
They were exhausted by the end.
And yeah, they broke a little bit, I'll say, because I'm up into Nick Chubs toe big 54 yard run.
He was check on 16 16 carries for 40 yards.
I'll say great are secondary is absolutely garbage.
I tweeted about it, saying, Why the hell is Avante Maddox? Even on this team and how that everybody loved everybody, loved our secondary outside of me.
Coming into this year, everyone's like, Oh, look, Jalen Mills is a safety is a great idea because then he could slide over to cornerback when necessary.
I'm like, No, everyone's like Avonte.
Maddox is gonna be an outside corner all of a sudden.
No crazy on LeBlanc.
He made some great plays down the stretch last year. Like two plays.
Oh, he's gonna be a great guy.
No, you know, these are all things that you know, I think for me and Phil and I talked about this on the halftime show, this team lacks heart.
Yep, this team does not.
They are a paycheck collecting team right now.
Why is Peter's playing? Because he's a high, highly paid left.
He's being paid like a left tackle.
Why is Al Sean still on this team? Because his contract was pretty much guaranteed.
You know, the thing that stood out to me Ah, lot today and I'm just going along the offensive line.
You have Jason Kelsey holding his arm like it was about to fall off and saying, I'm not going into the blue 10.
You're going to take me to the back back in the locker room because we have a minute left that's fine.
And then having his teammates strapping his helmet up, and then he never missed another snap.
That's right, But Lane Johnson Johnson went out.
Jason Peters went out.
Jack Driscoll went out.
I mean, I don't know the severity of their injuries, and I know that Lane Johnson all season has been playing through various injuries.
So But you play.
If you wanted to win that game, you do everything you can to contribute.
You know, that's why people love Kelsey in this town because they know he would rather die than come off that field.
And that doesn't exist.
I would say anywhere else on this field anywhere else on this team, no one else would rather die than leave the field the broken, plain and simple.
I think e If we did a comment show, this might be the comment, cause we've had a lot of really good comments that show so far and we're only 21 minutes in.
We've got a lot of great ones.
This could go down as basically summing up everything broken, plain and simple.
Okay, it's it's it's infuriating.
I mean, look, we are all die hard Eagles fans.
We all want this team toe happen.
We want we want to make the playoffs as fans, but realistic.
I'll never root for them not to.
We're never going to root for them to lose.
I'm never gonna have him lose.
But I'm not even worried about the pick because I don't trust how you at this point to make a pick.
I'm saying our weekly picks, we picked them and we picked them to lose.
So I'm going to lose intelligently.
But in our hearts, that thing that we could talk about, that the Eagles don't have, we never want.
I said I would like to be wrong If I could be wrong, that would be swell.
E se Look at this comment.
This this duty eyes that like a spazz e D.
J Spassky Jeffs burner account.
Barry and me are about to become new best friend because I'm trying really hard not to cuss and say bad words.
But I keep saying heart, heart, heart, heart, heart guessing, various speaking, my heart.
I brought this up like he didn't look like he even wanted to go back in the game.
Why not? Because he was mentally and he was mostly done.
We're gonna get 75 million times a game, but single play.
He is taking a hit and it comes too much.
And unfortunately, I'll say they continue.
You know, there was a report earlier out this week that he is mentally drained.
We might be having our Andrew luck situation soon.
Unfortunately, obviously great.
But I saw somebody else on Twitter bring that up.
And I tried to ignore it because it does not use that he obviously that Andrew Luck had.
So I understand why Andrew Up broken back and a new daughter, I'm pretty sure he'd like to be able to play with her.
She gets older, Thought about sitting this year out because off the covert situation, he thought about it because of his new child.
You know, he didn't want it.
Want that? But you enjoy your pizza do order from, you know you're ordering from Fox's pizza.
That's all that matters.
Adams, the only one that I know that orders he was in Friday night.
Definitely so, but I was saying, once again, it's just you can't really pinpoint it.
It's the same issues week in and week out, and Doug keeps on saying it's not the preparation.
It's not the practice that they're doing the same thing that you've always done.
And if that's the case, then it's the head coach, the quarterback and the personnel.
E right, Jeff, you just said you can't pinpoint.
But the problem is that we can pinpoint.
We could say exactly what's not working.
No ownership way.
Can't pinpoint Hobbit Fix it because it's the same issues week in and week out, and I'm sorry you can't pinpoint dug in them.
Doug, as a head coach, needs to figure this out, and obviously they're not.
Either he needs to pull the plug on Carson, or he needs to do a better job play calling or whatever the hell it is.
Those two are not meshing well together this season, whether it's the play calling the execution, whatever the hell it is.
This is a bad football team and relies on your head coach.
Your head coach ain't doing the job, and I would say Carson once again, like Phil brought before, he's not reading.
He's not reading the field well, that first interception, I would say he had rigor wide open.
Instead, I was saying he had a great and Richard Rodgers completely missed a block on the right side allowed the corner Blitzer.
But But the thing is, once didn't read that.
And here he knew what the hell he was doing.
He was already knew he was throwing the freaking Miles Sanders in in the in the pattern.
There he just heat it up in Miles Sanders.
They used to do a better job and realizing, Hey, there's an offender.
They're freaking trying to make a play.
You could become a defender, but just back.
Let's let's talk a little bit about you know, Carson.
If you want to take the mental and the emotional part of it out, you know he's obviously turning the ball over way more than his whole career combined.
He had had, like, 14 or 15 years actions, but still, he's on a much further pace than that at this point.
But the the site and the and the and the sea in the field go back to the safety play.
We all talk about some of the other ones.
That's the play that he took the safety on Dallas Goddard was open on that play, and he didn't even look Dallas Goddard like I mean he you know he did.
Look, if you if you watch it, he looked.
I didn't see it and went away from it instantly.
So what is it? That problem? Well, is it a confidence issue that he's afraid toe turn the ball over again? Is that you know what he's seen? Isn't you know, computing quick enough because of all the hits he's taking, what's causing him not to pull the trigger? What's the number one issue right now? I think it's a couple of things.
I think it's the fear of messing up, right, So he is forcing it.
He is 100% forcing some of these throws and you can see it on the interceptions that throat al Sean.
Regardless of how bad Al Sean that route and butchered the timing of the jump.
There was a bad decision to throw him that I do not blame Al Sean for that.
I mean, he should have maybe come down with it. Maybe not.
He ran around, but that was that was on Carson that was never supposed to be made.
I think that it comes down to is as quarterback.
If you are getting hit seconds after snapping the ball and know that your head coach expects you just to stand there and take it, you know he's quick.
I think he's standing there reading the field, waiting for that first one toe look open on.
By the time he realizes that, it's not because our wide receivers aren't very skilled yet he's getting killed or he's quick throwing it.
He's holding the ball too long.
We know that he's not broke down, actually, because the Dr Block the drive that we blocked the field goal on third down, Baker saw that read his check downs, didn't have anything rolled out and threw the ball away.
You made the smart play.
Did not take a dump sack to get out of field goal range.
Yeah, we blocked the field goal, so that's all hindsight and all.
But you know e don't understand it. Z.
Throwing the ball away has come to the Michael Vick not sliding level.
I mean, it just doesn't It just doesn't happen and we need our quarterback.
I mean, let's keep checking and that's my buddy E.
I hope he's not trying to say that Nick Foles ran the RP.
Oh, good, and that's what we need.
I think that he's saying, If I was gonna assume is that we have to have a quarterback in the system, whatever whatever Doug System is going to be that can execute the system.
So it seems that this season Doug System is a pocket quarterback.
Well, that's not Carson.
Carson is not a pocket quarterback.
He's just he's not.
He's not going to be.
So you have two choices here.
Either You bring in a new quarterback to match whatever Doug System is going to pay or you call plays to match the quarterback that you have, and I've said this over and over and over and over and over again.
I am a middle school football coach.
We do not have a set offensive playbook that we use year in and year out.
We look at the players that we have and that's what we call the plays for.
You cannot call plays for the players that you want.
You have to call plays for the players you have, but we've been having this conversation for weeks now, if not the entire season, that how we continue.
So we're gonna bring it back to how he's responsibility level here.
How we're not giving the coaches the players that they need.
You know you got Jim Schwartz wanted to run one defensive scheme, but Howie Roseman give some players that doesn't do that.
Peterson wants to run a scheme.
He doesn't have those players to run the scheme.
So while it is on the coaches for not adjusting their schemes to the players they're given, it's also that disconnect between the front office and the coaching staff because they're not on the same page.
They're not getting the players they want or making the adjustments when they're given what player.
So it comes back to Howie also on that whole thing, because how long? I mean, I know I was harsh on Sidney Jones last week because he did get beat, even though some people thought he was, you know, playing really well, you know, and resolved.
Rasul Douglas, you know, has had some pretty good games elsewhere.
You don't hear about Ronald Darby getting burnt every single week, you know, for Washington you know.
So you know, there's definitely a disconnect there from the entire.
That's why I say Jeffrey Lori needs toe hold everybody accountable, not just dug.
Not just Jim everybody.
Well, And then I would say that that's what we don't know about what's happening inside organization.
Like Jeff MacLean's report earlier this season that I would say there's a disconnect between the front office and the coaching staff, and I will say that they feel that Doug's, which it's showing on game day, week in and week out, that his offenses to vanilla he needs toe get with the times, get with the new systems off the NFL and the way the NFL offenses.
I ran because obviously his West Coast system is not working.
And I would say so to your point is, you're saying he's got to get with the system.
But up until this season, everyone was saying how revolutionary he was and how groundbreaking he was and how gutsy he waas.
Well, he's gutsy, but I'm saying revolutionary a little bit of a stretch.
I was saying They said the same thing about Chip Kelly and look what happened.
What happened him in the NFL.
What happened in college? Yeah, college now, too.
There's something new in the NFL.
Look at the Wildcat and look how quickly that fizzled out.
And I would say, Yeah, Doug has got created.
But once again, we don't know if that was dug.
That was Frank, right? If that was deep, deep Filipo, with Carson working with him and and Nick Foles that Super Bowl run everyone wants over.
And I think I feel we're finally seeing what type of coach Doug Peterson is and the coach that we were somewhere.
What Doug Peterson was not a coaching candidate? No.
He did not get an interview with any other team before coming to Philly.
He was our what? Six.
He was the six guy we brought in or seventh guy.
There are a lot of other people.
We want it and missed out on way.
I think you were saying the same thing.
I was about to go say, if it wasn't for Andy Reid playing a good word with Jeffrey Worry.
Yeah, why? You're all those other coaches not want to come here.
Howie Roseman, Maybe Holly probably I would say Yeah, I would say, because the thing is, ah, lot of these head coaches starting with new teams, especially where Philadelphia was at.
At that point, they were very transition mode and rebuilding mode that they want players, they want their quarterback and they want guys on their roster that they want to run their scheme.
Where Howie, I felt they want to give that up, especially after the whole thing.
He dealt with Chip with Chip, having complete control over the draft and assembling that team.
Halle once, once they let go Chip, he wanted, he wanted to have that control and I would say I felt Jeffrey wanted to give him that opportunity and give him that control.
The fact that he brought us out, he's kept the cap situation in Czech and before Chip he's helped.
He helped Andy a little bit and assembling a roster, so I felt that he that loyalty is what continues.
Thio continues to screw the Eagles and screw with Jeffrey Lurie with loyalty that he has with Halle Roseman.
Everybody wants to bench Carson Wentz and and this is something I really want to address here you know, and I'm for like I know once played awful I There's no words to describe it, but what's Jalen Hurts or Nate Sudfeld going to do with this offensive line and with his play calling and with this other talent around him, they're not gonna be any better then Carson Wentz, I think, fans, I was saying It's not gonna happen.
I agree with you went with that contract when they gave him that extension.
He is not going to be on the sideline unless he's hurt.
Or for some reason, it's a blowout and they don't want to risk.
Injury will be on that.
He will be out on that field as your quarterback, regardless, what whatever happens.
But I feel people just they just want they just want that spark.
They want to see that change.
They wanted something different out there.
They want to be part.
Yeah, they want her heart was saying, Sugar train Falco out there and to be fair and I got to give the guys credit where credit is due.
Even with Carson Wentz getting crippled every single game weekend and week out, he's not missing snaps.
So I gotta give the guy a little bit credit that even though he's getting crushed, he's still out there.
So he is showing heart.
The question is, is that as far as the quarterback position goes, So we know as the offensive line, right? Kelsey showing hard that matters, because your job is go out there and hit somebody.
Is the quarterback position showing heart enough week in and week out? See, when Nick full showed heart and got us the Super Bowl, it was a short term thing.
But winning and leading weekend and week out, it needs to be more than heart.
I feel, went, I went just like you said.
He's putting himself out there.
He's, I feel he's playing with her.
He wants to win.
He's frustrated, but the only to do so much with the squad that you have.
I would say we have to remember this team does not have a number one weapon.
Any one of our receivers on another roster would be a number two number three at best.
I'll say he doesn't have the targets out there and and I'll say whether it's the I don't know if it's the chemistry or like like Phil keeps bringing up.
It's it's the the confidence issue because he knows he doesn't have time to throw the balls of his mechanics or showing that he's not throwing the ball well.
But I'll say once has been playing bad.
But the team around him, it's just absolutely garbage.
And I would say What? Maybe Jalen hurts my fit well with what Ducks trying to do, but way someone said What he my buddy here said, What other coaches? So I just Google searches.
I couldn't remember who else interviewed.
All right, let's let's go down this list here of people that interviewed or were considered.
You do Staley, Pat Shurmur, Adam Gates.
Um, Doug Peterson, Obviously Teryl Austin Don't even know who he is Off the top of my head.
Yeah, he's No, he's the Lions defensive coordinator right now.
Doug Marrone, who actually has had success a couple times.
Their top choice was under contract and they never were gonna work it out. But they want it.
Sean Payton and the article does dive into Paul Dom, which is report that they were trying to work out a trade for Sean Payton that just didn't work out.
Ben McAdoo, Another guy that flamed is a coach cutter, another guy that flamed out as a coach.
So all these other guys that we interviewed really, What? E guess There wasn't as much of a who's who, as I thought, interviewing at the time.
What what kind of Peterson? Because, like you said we want.
When we hired Chip Kelly, we went so far away from what Andy Reid Waas that we saw that in a year and a half.
It was horrific.
So what do you do? You get back with the X.
That'll have you.
Well, Andy Reid wasn't going anywhere, so let's take somebody who's like Andy Reid, Doug Peterson, and he got us a soup.
I'm going to say the phrase.
He got us a Super Bowl.
Okay, when we know there's all the other people involved, we know the coaches there in the NFL, right? But he's the guy when he gets the blame he has to get the credit to, so he is a Super Bowl winning coach.
That's why you would never have to buy a pizza my pizza shop, for it's like never know, but you still gotta hold him accountable for what's going on right now, And that's why I think, like when I was three years ago, I would say this that Super Bowl is long.
I know that at the time, fans were saying, I don't care if we stuck the next 10, 15 years along as we win this studio there But I would say they're eating those words right now And I would say we're getting to the level of practice of almost a bag over our heads soon.
The fact that the way we're that we're playing, especially someone said it earlier in the show were called the Shingles.
Now it's the Philadelphia thing, right? Think about after Travis Fogel's first couple games.
We were Foege, um, for president.
We were shirts for sale and said, Whence Foge 2020.
Now everyone's going Oh, maybe he wasn't as good as he.
No, he's still good.
He's just, you know what's happening.
See, this crazy thing in the NFL is happening.
Let me break it down for you.
The NFL is adapting to the quality of receiver the Travis Fulgham is, and they are game planning to prevent him from getting the ball because they saw something that worked.
And as a defensive coordinator, something that Jim Schwartz doesn't like to do, they game planned around the successful players.
Well, the oh and try to call today had eight targets, one catch well, in that first half.
I think he's only targeted once that if that and I say that.
And that's the one thing I was saying, how he talked about this offseason, that this team, their biggest, their biggest goal with this season was getting younger and getting and quicker.
And I would say, Obviously, speed isn't winning in the NFL right now because I would say you bring all the speed in and your offense is considered to be one of the lack clustering offenses in the league.
Jalen Rigor, your first round pick.
I don't think we had one deep ball to him the entire football game. You would say speed.
Then why isn't Jalen regular returning punts? Why is Greg Ward the slowest man? Any screen yard screen is running into his own blockers on punt returns.
When you got a guy like feeling rigor and I think this is actually really important, right, Greg Ward is back there because he's a consistent catcher, right? So one thing we will give Greg war credit for is when the Paul's punted him, he catches the ball.
When, when he decides to catch the ball, we gotta give him credit.
He is very short hands back there.
But when he decides to let it bounce and it rolls to the two of the three yard line, and then on that drive, we give up a safety.
On that drive, we go up a safety fair, catch the ball and catch it.
That's why you're back there.
Yeah, I can't say, But after that.
But see? Okay, we're going back to discipline and responsibility and preparation.
Doug Peterson should not have a You take him out.
You put gel on Gregor back there.
You give somebody else's shot back there.
You sit when people fail constantly over and over again, you sit them down or if you want the spark right, if you want to spark you put Jalen Rigor back there, just like you put the Sean Jackson back there and got hurt.
Well, there's a lot I would say has Reagor had the experience returning punts, though he did in college.
Okay? Actually, he was listed as our punt returner to start the season two.
I was, like, a little bit different between.
I also understand rigor being a za kick returner out because you're feeling the ball completely differently by with the weather, with weather conditions the way they are, they were today, uh, for a rookie in that situation, Maybe they just didn't feels the right situation for him to be put.
His were through 11, 12, 13 weeks of the season.
Now, when's the right time gonna be right? When is he not? You know, obviously he's still rookie, But when is he not considered a rookie? You know what I mean? If his job on this organization is to be the punt returner of the team, why are you giving him the Oh, this one could be a little tough for him.
Let's have him sit this one out because Greg Ward can catch the ball or let it bounce to the two yard line every single time.
That one today, that one today was a killer, a straight up killer.
He's not catching.
Apple killed this team.
Well, there's plenty of other mistakes I would say I would say You look once again third down efficiency that you go to combine two for 21.
God actually wrote that down.
I was waiting for the opportunity to say that. God.
So how do you? 09 to 2 to 12? I mean, that's awful.
And it's the fact that, like where? Now where? We're making these screw ups, right? Ah, fumble on the first drive was in the red zone.
The pick six on the second drive.
That's just bad in general.
An interception in the red zone to Al, Sean.
Like we're making bad plays at bad times.
I'll say real quick, I'll say.
Carson Wentz has stepped to the podium to talk to the media after days loss of the Browns.
Jalen was that supposed to be a wheel two miles and did getting hit effect the throat.
The last part of the question Yeah.
I mean, I definitely didn't wanna float it out there, Um, the way that happens, same time you get hit when you throw.
It's a it's a bad feeling.
It's bad feeling because, you know the ball is just kind of floating in there.
You're hoping it falls to the ground, but I'll feel back. Watch the tape.
I mean, we were trying Thio do some against that specific coverage and it wasn't there, so I was just trying to check it down and got hit on it.
So unfortunate there, Martin.
And unless the Carson, um you know, with everything that's kind of been going wrong for you, you know, so far this season, I mean, do you find yourself hesitating a little bit? I mean, especially like on the on the safety, and Rob just mentioned the pick six.
I mean, you think the whole budget of it? No, not at all. I e.
When I see a guy opened, I'm cutting it loose.
And so, um, that's that's unfortunate.
Guy made a good play by adding on bringing the blitz off the edge and obviously getting hit on on that.
Like I said, it's it's not ideal with the ball floating in there.
Um, the other ones? No, I mean, I'm not hesitating.
I you know, they made some place to, and I really I get the ball out there quicker, but, you know, it was unfortunate to be in the ends on there and taking that fact.
But, you know, hats off of them.
They made a good play less and the Red Cross.
Carson Peterson was asked just now several questions about potentially benching you, and he said he was going to do that.
But does it surprise you that this should come up with this point? And how do you think you're playing? Yeah, I mean, first of all, media.
I mean, you guys can ask whatever questions you want, so I know that's part of the deal.
I know that Z always good.
I'm asking some questions.
That's what I signed up for when I, you know, came out and played quarterback going back high school so I could take it.
I can wear it is what it is.
Uh, I was playing is as good as we can as a team know, and my playing my best football.
No, um, you know, there's there's some cir***stances out there today that we left some plays on the field and a trickle.
We'll go back and watch the tape, but, um, yeah, I mean, at the end of day, that stuff is what it is.
You know, you guys, can you guys gonna ask whatever questions you want, bring up whatever you want, and for me, I'm just gonna put my head down and go to work.
Okay, Enough of that freaking crap.
What is Carson talking about? Last week he gave the Giants credit that they're a good defense and they just did their job and they they shut us down.
What does that say about you as a quarterback, as the leader, as as the guy that's supposed to lead the charge for this offense.
And you continue tohave the issues week in and week out and repeat yourself same thing over and over again when there's gonna be the time that you step it up and do something about it and go out on that field and do the things you're saying you're going to do is obviously you're not doing them.
It's all about the heart, man.
I want production.
I want victories.
I don't want this that we should not be 36 and 1 11 weeks through the season right now and somehow still in the freaking lead in the remember I'm the one that put money on the Eagles to play in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs? Yeah, yeah, well, they're still in first place e c.
The first game as of this moment.
So, technically, my bet is still valid.
Sometimes you make those bets.
They'll they'll They'll they'll give you, like some money back to say, Just cancel it now.
Yeah, they're not offering me anything right now. There.
I'll say, your bets gonna be invalid after the next four weeks.
The next four games, I'll say Eagle Seahawks, Monday Night Football.
Russell Wilson, considered one of the MVP of the league on the road and Green Bay against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.
Granted, we don't know Troop reasonably playing in the same game, possibly allowed to come back.
That's the week he's allowed to come back. Jason.
She said he'll still had three touchdowns that I've been thinking about this a lot, you know? Yes, Drew Brees is a Hall of Fame quarterback, and he's he's gonna torch us.
But I actually been thinking about this for a couple of days now.
Does Drew Brees being hurt and us having to face Taysom Hill or Jamis Winston, who I thought was gonna be the quarterback.
Does that actually make them more likely to beat us because of how we do against running quarterbacks? Exactly.
I'm not to say the same thing.
The Eagles defense is not designed well, and Jim Schwartz has not game playing well against mobile quarterbacks.
Whether there are guys they're gonna break off and run for the touchdown or guys, they're just mobile in the pocket, no matter what he does.
The game plan for these guys, they just continue to burn this week in and week out.
E And then the week after they played the Cardinals and Kyler Murray, this is the Eagles offense that I stink.
Only scored more than 25 or 26.
3 times this year, and they're one and two in those games.
What does that say about this office? Obviously you're not playing a points, and the next four weeks you go up against some of the best offenses in the league and you're you're not gonna compete and shootouts is, and we know how well we know how inconsistent this defense is.
You have to rely on your offense.
The put up points to win these football games, and I don't have the faith or trust in Carson or Doug to do either of that.
Jeff, you just went on for, like, the last two minutes and you could have stopped that this defense isn't designed.
Well, you didn't need to say anything after that.
This defense isn't designed.
Well, that's the whole thing.
And you've noticed and there are statistics about this, too, and I was following, and I'm gonna use them tomorrow night for my show.
But every single time our eagles offense scores, that's when the defense decides that at that point is when the defense decides, you know what? We're gonna take this drive off and they allow points consistently.
Yeah, I'll say both times today when they like you said the offense, I would say put up points and then they wow the, uh, Brown get a feel going to touch down.
So I would say, I don't know this this season.
I hate to say whether we make the playoffs or not.
I'm always throwing in the towel.
I hate to say that as a fan, how can you not like that? You have you know like that.
There's nothing that has been done in the last 11 weeks that can you can you can hang your hat on, say, You know, we really suck today.
But, you know, the last three weeks, we really did well.
We haven't done well even in our winds, even in our way, you know? Well, that's my point.
Even the players themselves are saying We have not played a full game yet.
We've won three games, and in those three games we have not played a full game yet.
We haven't played well, period.
Maybe since the first half against Washington.
We have not played well at all, right? And let's talk about Washington for a second, right? We still have to play them again.
This is a team that the defensive line knocked out Joe Burrow today in a gruesome the injury.
And by the way, you know prayers up for Joe Burrow, because that is, I'm a huge job s Oh my.
But we have to face that defensive line again.
You don't think that Chase Young is going to bed tonight, licking his lips, waiting to play against, waiting to go against Jason Peters again, waiting to go against Lane Johnson for three or four plays before Lane goes out again with another injury on again.
At this point, I'm almost ready to say Lane shut him down because he is our right tackle of the future and the president shut him down and let's see somebody else in there, because you pretty much at this point, I don't You know you can't just, like, throw the season away.
But again, it's only gonna take five wins to win this division.
Even potentially a to this point, you really need to just shut everybody down and just play the kids.
You have my lot out there at left tackle.
You need to be playing.
I know he had bad games prior and and made her big, even Luke Dorita, You know, at center, you need to play these guys.
I don't want a bench, Carson Wentz, but you need to get Jalen Hurts or Nate Sudfeld from action.
You know you need toe Alshon.
Jeffery should not be on the field anymore.
Even you should not be out there because what's the point in risk injury in Dallas? Goddard At this point, e shut these guys down.
I have Dallas got it out there.
Then Richard Rogers, as the Richard Rodgers is, that would have been performing pretty well for us. E.
Got confused like Wait.
Richard Rodgers is showing himself to be a great tight end.
They protect Richard Rogers because we want him to be a part of a there.
Yeah, but I say e expendable.
E Honestly, I hate to say it, but I feel he's gone after this year, Right way went into this season going.
We cannot get rid of Zachary.
Zachary is a huge integral part of this e.
I wanted to keep my put.
A was a big supporter of keeping them, but with work that Zachary put in the season.
And yes, he's been injured.
But before the injury, compared to what Richard Rogers has been able to dio, you will now see that the market for Zach Ertz you can open it up, but he doesn't need to be here anymore with God, it is you one Richard Rogers, as you're too.
And I was saying when powerful 12 punch and and I would say there early on in that offense, they were working a lot of those two tight end sets that you know when we see with God or than Earths out there.
And I would say you were able to see some production from God and from Richard Rodgers and those sets that they were using.
They just got away from it, just with weather conditions and all that.
But I would say looking at the playoff picture right now, with a few weeks off down the stretch with a few weeks left of the season ended today, of course, would be the fourth seed.
Right now, the 15 would be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and and Tom Brady.
So they would be that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Philly would beat us at least 47 to 10, at least at least.
And and And And And that's the question I know we keep on saying, Look, we still want a playoff team.
We still wanna be a playoff team and anything can happen.
I know Phil, you continue to.
Every team has a whole which they do, but like you just said right there, if we're facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of playoffs, we're gonna get blown off the doors, so why not? I'm not saying Tank the season, but you want the process to begin.
You wanna you wanna tank? You know, I just admit it.
There's no tanking for Trevor Lawrence.
You know, like I keep like I keep on saying this is a T.
I say the ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl.
If you're not a Super Bowl contender, what the hell is the point of, even like not playing the games? But there's no hope.
There's nothing to look forward to.
I'm not gonna before, before this week or even last week, I would have said playoff experience is important.
It's very important to get playoff experience, but at this point, the playoff experience you're getting would not equal what you're giving up.
So we're also we're also not build.
This organization right now is not built as a Super Bowl contender.
You beat to pieces away, right? We're not exactly.
We're not wanting to be the way we're an entire organization away with a couple of good players, and that's a very, very big difference.
You look at the teams that are legitimately ready to compete.
There is no question that Russell Wilson is the starting quarterback of the Seattle Seahawks.
There is no one calling for his job.
There is nobody calling for Tom Brady's job.
There's no one calling for any of these major competitive teams quarterback shops.
So right there you have to have the conversation of Is this team ready to legitimately compete? Even the year that we won the Super Bowl, it was with a backup quarterback.
Thus leading to the is Carson Wentz, the guy in our Super Bowl winning year, along with a bunch of other things.
All backups, right? Who then went on to careers elsewhere because they want to Super Bowl.
When you win a Super Bowl, you get you signed contracts with other teams.
So this team has never since Andy.
I'm gonna put I'm gonna say a big thing here.
Since Andy Reid left, this team has never been a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
There's no doubt about it.
Yeah, I mean, I'll say and I say you look at this roster, I'll say, OK, maybe.
Besides, of course, we're still on the fence with Lens.
But besides Miles Sanders and who else on this team, Can you really build your offense, your defense around for the future? E What players on this team do you really feel? Are if they would go 100%? Because we might feel that Jordan, My A lot has taken steps.
We can't say without a doubt, you know? So outside of when, maybe, you know, which is maybe money, maybe.
Miles Anderson, you about you.
Alex Goddard has injury issues.
He's been hurt every single year he's played.
And the thing that you need, you've already kind of said it is building for the future.
So, yes, on our roster, we have some excellent talent in the twilight of their career.
So it's not building for the future.
Like I would say immediately.
You know you're building a team around Jason Kelsey, right? Because Jason Kelsey is an exceptional, exceptional offensive lineman.
You retired at the end of the year, who is questioning whether or not he needs to retire each year.
But what my point I was trying to are trying to get to was is we're trying to build.
We came out saying, This ain't a Super Bowl team.
How do we get to be that Super Bowl team? Because right now people keep on thinking that we only have a couple holes here and there.
And granted, the NFC East is garbage right now, but we were very fortunate.
Well, the cowboy, I would say for us. But the Cowboys are unfortunate.
They lost their starting quarterback with Dak Prescott, who to a huge injury, I would say so without if he was in there.
Who knows where this division with me, with him in there.
And I would say I'm not trying.
People don't want to realize or come to the assumption that this team is pretty much in a rebuild year or rebuild or re and rebuild mode way.
Don't have confidence in Howie Roseman with his draft.
Don't have confidence in him in making the right players.
So why is he not under enough fire from the media? Enough fire from the fan base, even from some of the hosts on the all about the bird networks don't think he's on the chopping block.
It needs to be said if you need to rebuild your team and you have zero confidence in the guy that's been building your team for 456 years.
Then everybody's gotta go.
It's gotta be Oh, let me ask you a question here because the big move of this past week, the big move was signing Jordan Howard again, right? That was the big move.
And on paper, we waken understand, like, Okay, you know, he's going to take some carries here and there, you know, makes sense with Clement.
So today they dress Holyfield Well, they can't They couldn't dress dress.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
So they dress Holyfield, who is close ish to what they expect Howard to be.
And Holyfield didn't carry the ball even one time.
So on the field, because I don't believe that unless it was on special teams.
E I don't believe so.
So now the question is next week.
Right now, you have a team today who ran the ball as a team 25 times.
16 of those carries went to Miles Sanders.
How many carries do you expect? Starting next week, Jordan Howard to take away from Miles Sanders on 18, doesn't run the ball.
They do not run the ball.
I honestly don't feel they brought miles or not, Miles said.
They didn't bring Jordan Howard in here to take away carries for Miles Sanders.
I feel he's more of the gonna be that situational back that they're gonna dress.
I would say I would say he will be short yardage situations.
I was like, Remember last week there were there were three or four situations on third and short that they either then pick up the first down on the ground or they passed for it and and and And that I feel with Jordan Howard He's a better blocking, running back in third and long situations.
The miles well, so you're bringing in the block E blood? He's gonna take it for that.
I honestly will not say that.
I even think he makes it up on the team next week.
I think he does because you bring him in, you're paying the money, you're gonna put him on the team.
He's not making that much.
I think about the veteran minimum.
That reason they brought him in, he was released by Miami.
He was out there.
He knows the playbook so that that's a positive.
He provides that depth, and they really I think they want to see where he's at.
So the fact that they didn't actually bring him on to the active roster, he got thrown to the practice squad.
So technically, any team write him off right now.
But Jeff, that goes against the point that you already said, which is play the young guy.
So now by saying Jordan, Howard is gonna address and he's gonna do these things Holyfield is not getting that spot Holy still challenging.
And that's why Huntley's again, that's what we're not gonna know, what these three guys are at all because loyalty to Jordan Howard in the Super Bowl year E Lloyd.
I get what you're saying and I and I and I understand and I respect, I agree with you have to play the young guys.
But do you really have faith? And Holyfield or Huntley there really know what it is? You don't know what they are, what happened that you're not trying to win for the Super Bowl.
Like you say, Jeff, you want the better drift pick.
You play the kids you're playing to the Super Bowl, right? If you're playing, you use the known commodity, but they're never fixing team.
You have two young running backs with Boston Scott and with and with Sanders.
If anything, Howard's gonna take that veteran role from Clement and whenever he returns, so that that's my guests and I'll say on and I get what you're saying, Get these guys and young experience, which in certain positions in certain situations, like the safety, I'm saying We know Ronnie McLeod on his last leg.
Why don't we playing Cavon Wallace? Uh, you would rather play.
I would rather play Wallace over Jalen Mills and moved Jalen Mills back to corner because just again A.
When he was playing quarterback because he's not a cornerback, he is not.
A safety literally should be like the fifth guy in a secondary room at best.
But what I was trying to get out before we lost little track is that this team there more than one or two players away from continuing to Super Bowl, they have ah, lot of needs, and honestly, it's gonna probably take the next couple of years off us hitting on that draft, and I agree with Phil everyone should be held accountable on the chopping block.
But that loyalty that Jeffrey Lurie has toe Howie Roseman is gonna trump that.
And the fact that we're in absolutely cap hell next year.
They're like they're bringing Holly back just for that, just for that reason, the fact that I would say We're 50 $60 million over the cap and he's dead weight, it's on the excuse.
But unfortunately, we're gonna bring in here the same.
No one's gonna come in here and try to save that hell and try to rebuild this team from scratch.
Besides a couple pieces with Carson Wentz and Mild Sanders and an aging Fletcher Cox and then one of the most overpaid for defensive line in football right now with Hargrave Cox Barnett People want a shot.
There were theoretic, and I know I brought him up before he on Lee is gonna leave the ESPN.
Luis Rid****. Sorry.
You're thinking Phillies? Mhm.
He he only is gonna leave ESPN for certain jobs.
And he wanted the job in Philly before, but they kept tally around.
He did not get along with Howie, so he left for ESPN.
You offer him that opportunity and give him full rains.
The clean house on the coaching staff.
Does does Billy Beane dio football? Could get a Moneyball situation.
Carol More To come out here.
There are already got Got rid of Al Horford's contract like it was nothing like a thing.
Then they signed Dwight Howard.
Great move, Dwight Howard back.
I said, I'll say I loved White.
