together together to get up to bed.
Welcome to bills overdue.
A Buffalo fanatics vid cast.
Think that's what all the kids are calling it.
You can find me at new handle BFF.
Yeah, he's a He's a He works for BFF now.
Buffalo fanatics, focus.
That's Ah, That's a subsidiary of Pff.
Pro Football Focus.
It's much better.
Completely different thing.
Yeah, uh, it's a by week.
Condition of bills overdue.
Uh, for those who saw the the thumbnail picture, that was from Brother Bill's latest video.
In case you missed it, uh, it's ah, video that Josh Allen.
A bunch of Bills players.
They got together and they filmed it.
Obviously, as you can tell, what the faces they got nothing to do.
You could make music videos on Bye week.
That's exactly team camaraderie team chemistry.
So thanks to brother Bill for letting me, uh, still a Snapchat for screenshot you could if you could do choreographed, choreographed dances on on a music video.
You can You can line up, then win football games.
Right? So, uh, Max, how about how about that game.
Uh, it's been, uh, on our usual six days removed.
How are you still feeling from it? I mean, I'd say it was like, I guess I kind of got over it by, like, Wednesday, whereas, like, I wasn't thinking about it.
I don't know about you, Jeremy, but I was I was delirious.
I was, like, completely delirious when it happened.
Um, you know, when I saw the ball go up in the air, Hopkins makes the catch.
I like I couldn't help but have this, like, weird, delirious smile on my face of like Like that doesn't just happen.
Did it? Like, Is that is that really is like, That's a That's a miracle play.
Completely miracle play.
Um, but yeah, it took me about two like Wednesday to be completely over it.
And now you just ruined my day because I remembered it happened.
I didn't think we're going to talk about it at all.
Sorry, we probably should have discussed that beforehand, but we don't really talk about anything.
So, uh, I actually I rode my bike over to my dad's.
And so I was riding at home, and I was riding by a friend's house and he was out in the driveway.
So it's like, I'll stop by and say hi, So stop by and talk to him for a little bit.
He told me that he had a coronavirus, so I was like, Bummer on.
Then I wrote home.
Yeah, and then that that ride home a conversation kind of like helped my head clear a little bit.
So I came home and my wife asked me how the game was.
And I was like, We lost in spectacular fashion.
That's how I described it to her.
Uh on it's like it's hard to even chalk it up is a loss because you just like because when you're watching, it's like you see the stuff on digs, touchdown and in your brain you're like, Alright, games over, games over.
Like like you know, you don't even process the fact that it's possible for the Cardinals to come back and went on a miracle play.
And so it's almost like it was almost like the past, like three days I was convinced I was in denial, is like the Bills writing to the Bills rating to.
But I think they should be and they and they are in my own head.
Um, I will say, like if there's one.
If, if that's the worst way we lose this season, Um, if that's if that's the if, that's the closest game.
If that's the most heartbreaking loss this season, it's gonna be a good year.
Because this is a right that was a regular season game last season.
Are most heartbreaking.
Loss was against the Texans in the wild card round.
Let's this has gotta be the most heartbreaking loss against the Cardinals this year, so I think that bodes well.
We got over that hump of heartbreaking loss this time.
It wasn't in the postseason.
That's good news.
That's that's a glass half full.
I think I got on Twitter, and I think I spent like one minute on Twitter and I had to get off.
It was just everybody.
It was just It was just too bummer, too much of a bummer.
So I was like, Okay, I see what most of these tweets are, and they weren't like negative.
They're just sad, you know, Everybody just saying like I can't believe it was like those kind of kind of tweets, and I was like, Yeah, I'm not gonna do this today.
And then, uh, I didn't really rush into my usual podcast the next day.
I wasn't really like in the mood.
I think I think I went straight to part in my take this time because I was like, I need I need some laughs.
I need to, like, just kind of get my mind off of it.
But it wasn't that long that I was able to get back Thio talking about the bill stuff.
So well, one thing I want to say it was it was funny for me because i a t end of the game.
I was like, Okay, I kind of turn off football for, like, five hours and not do anything.
And I tried to, like, go on my laptop and, like, watch it like a TV show or something.
But for some, how I ended up back on YouTube like rewatching the bills Cardinals highlights about five different times.
And just like reliving the pain, e don't know how that happened or why.
But I'm getting sucked back in.
I would Yeah, I want to kind of highlight as the maestro Shine mentioned Arizona fan posted to reddit post about how great Bills fans are.
So they got in the mix donating to Josh Adams charity.
Now we're at 670,000, So Yeah, I saw that.
And I thought that was really cool about Cardinals fans, so I thought that was awesome.
So Cardinals, fans, you guys, you're okay with me.
Yeah, Cardinal, I have no beef with Cardinals fans.
Um, Steve Mathis are amazing.
He's from Arizona.
So I think it's second favorite team is the Cardinals.
We love Stevo and yeah, shout out to the Cardinals fans for being awesome, donating to a worthy cause.
Um, and the Josh the Josh Allen charity train is absolutely amazing.
I remember last week we were talking about it was that 500,000.
Now its upto 670,000.
It's all going toe shy.
Great, cause just incredible bills.
Mafia is awesome.
The Arizona fan base is equally is awesome.
Good news all around their about equal.
I don't know about that.
Yeah, I mean, like, obviously the best skills mocking the best.
But Max, so I really don't wanna harp on the play.
The hell, Murray, but I do the hell Murray said Hurry.
The hell Murray.
Yeah, I've been calling it.
I do kind of want to talk about how DeAndre Hopkins has been handling himself and you and I think we're kind of on both different sides of the fence here.
So I'm gonna share my case.
You could share yours, and we can let the viewers decide.
But DeAndre Hopkins has been kind of annoying since since making this catch.
Um, first thing in his press conference.
He's talking about it, and he's talking about the play and he says, You know, yada, yada, yada.
He's like, it was just a great catch by I.
Which is exactly why is that a great catch? Uh, I I was like, That's not how you say sentences.
Uh, but whatever s Oh, that's where it started.
Uh, I get on Twitter later on, and he is hey, posts a picture of it and of the catch of him catching it, and he says Best meme gets a signed jersey.
So now he's just like getting everybody to make memes about it, which, like, look if the memes come naturally like fine, like that's cool.
Alright, he's literally just like, let's get like like a meme train going.
I was like, Man, come on.
And then he posts like another thing, like he's like making t shirts of it.
And yeah, I guess all that, too.
And I was like, Dude, like you've made plenty of good catches like there's that one where he caught the ball with his hand and his like ***** or something that one catch e don't see pick.
I don't see T shirts or names of that like like that dude like E Disagree, though.
Listen like is annoying as it may be.
Tow us on the other side.
I think when you make a catch like that, Jeremy, when you make a catch over three defenders in the end zone toe, win the game like it's the times nearly expiring.
Like if you make that kind of play, you get to act like the greatest person on earth for, like a week like come on like that's so freaking cool.
You tell me if you made that catch, Jeremy, if you made that catch, you wouldn't be walking around the next week acting like you're you're hot ****, acting like you're the best that's ever done it.
Like I think I think this is just DeAndre Hopkins.
This is this is just the reality of the fact that he's amazing and he made a ****ing awesome play like you're like to strut your stuff for a week.
I would not do it like him because I am a whole person.
So, no, I would not be doing that at all.
Um, but yeah, anyhow, that's what DeAndre Hopkins has been doing since then.
Um, let's go ahead, Max.
Let's talk about the bad.
So the bad stuff out of the way, the game, what do you say? The bad? I'm going down and I guess, honestly, like, I guess, the first thing I'm gonna say bad is probably like besides Josh Allen's almost game winning drive.
The offense in the second half.
But they were not.
They just they were not getting anything done.
They were just punting it and there's interceptions.
Second half offense.
I think I think it's mostly gonna be pinned on Josh Allen to a Zhar.
Does this, as it is to say, I think Josh Allen was the reason we struggled a lot in that first half in the second half, really kind of putting it away.
We had many opportunities to put it away.
We couldn't do that Joshua and throws those picks.
He had, you know, a couple balls that were very nearly intercepted.
I believe that he had two picks that game.
I know it's six days ago, so it's hard to remember.
And then he had a couple more that were nearly intercepted.
Um, and I think I might be a jinx because last week, Max I remember.
I think I just texted you.
And I said we should do a weekly segment called Does A. J.
Klein still suck? And then, like, right after texting you that I think he got, like, a sack or something.
And so I was like, Oh, wow, um, you know, in my face this week, when I was taking my notes, I think I put down like it's a good thing like Peterson or something sucks at interceptions.
And then he ended up getting one in the first half because he dropped two of them.
I was like, Thank God he did drop. Yeah.
And so I'm starting to wonder if, like certain things I text down, like e need to stop being so snarky in my notes because I might be a jinx that way.
I think you might be stopped doing that. Definitely.
We need everyone on the build side to your jeremy.
Can't have that.
Uh, there was one play I hated.
It was, you know, the bills have been working in the screen game a little bit more of this season, you know, with, like, John Brown a little bit.
He's got a couple, but in the second half, like, it's like, 3rd and 10.
And David calls for a screen and, like, Josh how and throws it to digs, like, four yards behind the line of scrimmage, and it just gets, like, blown up.
I was like, What the hell are you doing? Um, yeah, that was annoying.
There was something else I really stood out that I did not like.
I saw him like a breakdown of that play.
Might have been by three guy for the NFL Network.
Brian Baldinger, I think, but hey, basically ****yzed that plan.
It was like I think the ball was intended to go toe Gabriel Davis, who's kind of running like towards the sideline.
Kind of a deeper route.
Um, but it looks like Davis kind of trips or something.
Um, and s o that Josh was forced to take the check down there, but yeah, I also Brian Devil, not his best game, either.
Three All offense wasn't clicking.
Um, you know, after after that, amazing.
Like Josh on touchdown catch, the offense decided not to click anymore.
Really? And, uh, yeah, again.
Third quarter woes, uh, just it's It's frustrating.
Um, and speaking of third quarter woes, Max, it's not just our offense because Bruce Nolan, uh, a k a Bruise exclusive posted a stat earlier this week, and it was ah, defense.
Our defense is like points allowed per quarter first quarter.
They allow, like three points per first quarter, which is like second best second quarter 6.
8, which is 10th best in the third quarter.
Our defense allows 7.
6 points, which is 31st, so second toe last and it's a little better in the fourth, which is like 9.
1, But so it's not just our offense in the third quarter, but it appears our defense is, yeah, great.
And it's also, But it's also because our offenses putting our defense and bad spots because we're turning the ball over in the third quarter.
So I think that's still, you know, it's still that's partly on the offensive offenses fault.
I would like to pull up this comment as a matter of debate from Kyle here says, Honestly, our defense was worse.
This game need to tackle better.
Um, tackling, I think, has been our issue.
But, like, I don't know if our defense was e and the first half are red zone defense was very good.
Dane Jackson broke up a, uh, completion with Tim and Hopkins and had to settle for a field goal.
They had to settle for, like, three field goals, like going in the first half.
So, yeah, they let them move the ball.
But when they got into the red zone, I thought they were playing pretty well.
It was a classic like bend, but don't break type of game for the Bills defense, where they let him get down there in close and then for some reason, when they're in the red zone our defense decided they played with a spark and they were ableto pin their ears back and get to the quarterback and forcing completions.
And it was that that was good to see.
Um, but I don't know why multiple times where our defense, uh, you know, ended drives in the second half.
It was giving our offense the ball back, and then that one interception was on the very first play.
Like the office gets the ball back and you're like, Yeah, let's do this.
And then the first play Josh and there's an interception.
It's like, Dude, the defense just, like, went through all that to get you the ball back.
And you're just like it's like it's not hot potato man. E.
Yeah, you know, we gotta talk about I want to talk about the awesome, uh, actually, do we want to keep going through the bad E o.
We talked about the catch.
We talked about.
The offense are not great.
I really don't have anything else Bad to say.
We can live from the bat, Brian table.
One thing I just want to say, You know, Brian Table, Is he going to get those head coaching offers? Do we think because I don't know, maybe I think he might.
I think he might, because just the body of work improvement on this offense and Josh Allen, That's gonna That's gonna ah, lot of that's gonna be credit toe Brian table whether he's worthy of it or not worthy of it, Um, it certainly, you know, his creative play calls have worked.
We'll get to that.
But I don't know if Table is gonna be a leading candidate.
I'd be a head coach next year.
I put this under bad, but it's almost like bad for the Cardinals.
So this will be my last bad.
It's like a segue.
Um, Arizona gets the ball back with 4.
5 minutes left, and the way they've been running the ball, I'm thinking, like just run, run the ball, run the clock.
And they probably have this game.
One They had, like, a three point lead.
And for some reason, Cliff Kingsbury calls for two passing plays back to back, and they're both incomplete and I was just like, Why are you passing the ball like, just run it like, run out the clock? They passed it twice.
That's the only reason that happened.
Yeah, is because for some reason, Kingsbury calls for two passing.
That brings up a larger point.
Like I was noticed all game.
That Arizona Cardinals coaching staff is bad.
There were a lot of miscues.
There was some penalties, like 12 men on the field calls false starts.
There was a lot of just like miscommunications time outs being called because the play clock was running down a cliff.
Kingsbury needs to get his **** organized, and I think their defensive coordinators was the coach of Miami.
I forget his name.
It was advanced.
Joseph, the defensive coordinator for Arizona.
Now, um, these guys were struggling on defense, like just simple things.
Getting 11 guys on the field instead of 12.
I think that one time they might have had 10 guys on the field s.
Oh, that was funny.
Yeah, they had the back to back time out.
Do you remember that? The back to back timeouts and that cost, um, the cost him five yards because you're not allowed to have back to back time out.
Bad coaching by Arizona.
Bad coaching? Um, I mean, just look at the wind.
But hey, let Z transition to the good in a way that was good for us.
Like I said, that's what gave us that.
Uh, Dr, unfortunately, we know how that ended.
But the good things, Max, let's start off very beginning the trick Play that got us the first touchdown.
You know, I think he hands the ball off to Isaiah Mackenzie and he throws the ball to Josh Allen.
Not the best throw.
Thio kind of had, like, reach for it, and part of me wonders.
Uh, I bet if, like Josh Allen goes, that was like, Hey, you know, like the ball placement could have been a little better.
And like all the wide receivers like, yeah, it could have Josh.
It can always be better, and he's like, Okay, pointed.
Yeah, I think, uh, they were talking all week about how Isaiah Mackenzie was scout team Kyler Murray was on the on the bills, bills, practices.
How he was he was the guy.
The defense's were preparing for Isaiah Mackenzie was imitating Kyler Murray.
So I think, baby Isaiah Mackenzie Yeah, Barkley around, But Mukendi but Barkley was thrown at Yeah, yeah, that was happening.
And Mackenzie throwing some good balls, Uh, in practice, maybe imitating, imitating Kyler.
The coaching staff has said, Hey, how about we let you throw the ball in this game and maybe Isaiah Mackenzie is our is our Kyler Murray.
Maybe he's gonna He's gonna be our backup quarterback.
And I wrote this down and I wrote this down, and, uh, later on in the week, Isaiah Mackenzie joked about it as well on Twitter.
But I said, What position will Isaiah Mackenzie play next? Because, you know, he was our kick and punt returner for a little bit.
Uh, wide receiver, running back, cornerback and now quarterback.
So, uh, what What do you think he does next? Hey, tweeted out.
He tweeted out like, um, there's something like, like, vote for me.
Make sure you vote for me on the Pro Bowl ballots.
I'm listed under quarterback, cornerback, wide receiver.
Um, one other one to forget.
Um, yeah, I think he's gonna be How about he kicks the ball? How about? He kicks the ball and relief.
You taking ponder? Yeah, yeah.
Throw them in there.
I don't know about that.
That's that's an interesting strategy.
Um, yeah, my next.
I wanna get, um that was one good Brian double play call.
That was like, Okay, that that was creative.
Like the fact that Mackenzie is going right on the jet sweep that teams have prepared for teams have prepared for that Isaiah Mackenzie jet sweep.
The little pop passed from Alan.
Um, the cardinals were ready for that.
And then, you know, Brian Devil throws in the little wrinkle.
I like how Mackenzie's like veers off backwards so he can throw the ball forwards.
Aan den Josh Allen.
The elusiveness in the open field.
He gets past that, you know? He's ableto evade that guy at the at the two yard line and easily hop in. That was awesome.
It was I want to have that play just running out of loop in my house.
Yeah, the next good thing I wrote down was Tyler Bass.
And everybody who comes here regularly knows I am a vast defender, and I haven't had to defend.
In the last couple games he has been, he's been coming through.
And this game he started off with a 54 yard field goal, which was like his new long, and then his next field goal was 55.
He knows that one and then a 58 yard field goal.
So I'm so happy that the vast Masters arrived and I an eagle on the call was awesome.
Like after he made like this, I think it was the second or third I think it was after he's made his third.
He was like, Oh, my like Bass O Matic, like the announcer for CBS.
That was awesome.
Yeah, the best stat ever was the fact that he broke his career high, his career long field goal three three times in the same game on three consecutive field goals.
That's mind boggling to me.
I love crazy stats like that.
Uh, next one I have Oh, we already mentioned this.
I said the first half red zone defense.
I mentioned me jinxing when I type thing, so I need to stop being snarky with my text.
I mean, where do we start with him? That one handed catch first.
I think we got to start off with this swag because I don't think we've really mentioned this when he's on the sideline and he got his has his helmet off and he has his hair like in a bun and he's got it, you know? He's got shaved on the sides.
He looks so freaking cool.
Like I wanna be that guy's friend.
He looks awesome.
And it's all the reason he's doing so great This semester is all because of that swag.
Got that hair? I'm sorry.
This semester I'm in college mode. I e.
You're saying before he's got his finals right coming up? Yeah, I'm sorry.
I'm I'm brainwashed right now all year.
This is not a semester, Uh, by bad.
Um, yeah, he's got the swag.
That's the reason he was able to make that amazing one handed catch.
That's why he's always open.
He's, I think, I think Diggs said that a post game, he was like, you know, he's always open.
He's He's called Beasley.
He's always open.
Um, he's so shifty we all know he's so shifty.
But easily is the guy that we like.
We never actually give enough credit to him.
I feel like we always talk about him.
How he's awesome.
But I don't think we actually give him the credit he deserves all the time.
Um, I think I dio I think you dio I think we do.
I think us to together, But the rest of bills Mafia doesn't Yeah, e on the back.
Everybody else, you need to be better.
And yeah, I put that down.
I wrote Media needs to be better to Cole Beasley.
Absolutely any other goods.
I mean, obviously that touchdown pass with stuff on digs, Josh Allen Being clutch is another good thing.
Just like let's not let's not wash over the fact that 99 out of 100 times the bills would be eight.
And to like, this was another captain clutch.
Josh Allen fourth quarter winning drive, Even if it wasn't 1/4 quarter winning drive in the end, Um, like, that was awesome.
He was methodical, Thank God.
Listen, Cole Beasley did bail us out with that amazing one handed sideline catch.
I think that was on third down.
Um, but Yeah, he was methodical throughout the drive, slinging it, making plays.
And it was a beautiful throat.
The stuff on digs.
Um, I guess I have one bad that I could go back Thio Max, because we got some time to kill.
But, you know, Dawson Knox has not been coming through fourth, and he's got a man.
I know he's been dealing with some injuries and stuff, but he is.
Ah, if we're going back a little bit, I got to say something bad.
Dawson knocks not not doing a whole lot for us.
Yeah, and I'll I know we talked, like in the preseason.
Kind of Or, you know, before the season kicked off, I think we were saying like, we were comparing Thio, Dawson knocks the Tyler Kroft.
And I was saying that like Dawson, Knox is the tight end.
You want these like, badass and he's got a personality and he looks tough and he doesn't wear sweaters.
He doesn't wear sweaters to picture day like Tyler Kroft does.
Tyler Kroft Looks like, you know, it just looks like a boring vanilla guy.
Um, it's not very cool and is always awkward to talk.
Thio awkward small talk with Dawson, not with those, and knocks with Tyler Kroft.
It doesn't seem very, very enjoyable to me, but I I got to say I think the roles might be reversing because of what's happening on the field.
I think I think Dawson Knox is getting lamer is getting very lame.
And Tyler, Kroft is, is, is getting kind of cool.
He's getting kind of cool for us.
He's pretty dope, actually, yeah, except except when he e remember was the Jets game.
Like when he catches the ball in the open field and he's like, he's so excited that he caught the ball that he's like he stumbles over his own feet.
He pulled the Daniel Jones pulled Daniel Jones just running.
And so he's like, Oh, ****, Josh Allen threw it to me this time, instead of all the amazing wide receivers.
I don't I deserve this.
And then he's you guys a brain **** and he falls on the ground.
I wonder, you know, just this medicine, anything is if we're going to see another Dion Dawkins touchdown this season.
Oh yeah, I think we got to see an offensive line touchdown and it's gotta be Dion Dawkins.
Um, we just wanna put this comment right here by Peter Knocks.
Doesn't make my Sundays enjoyable.
No, he's not making my Sundays enjoyable either.
He's not adding to it.
Luckily, we have Giggs.
We have Beasley.
We have, ah, John Brown.
When he's good, we got yeah, it get's.
He's not adding to it, but he's also not really subtracting to it because he's not involved in the game plan at all.
You know, every once in a while, like I think we have to go back to, like, three games ago or four games ago when he dropped the pass against the Titans or something.
Um, that was annoying, but yeah, I I haven't seen Dawson knocks in years on the field.
I don't think I think that's how long it's been years.
Yeah, in a while.
It's been a while.
Um, yeah, so I mean, as far as any.
Anything else about the cardinals game? Uh, well, Tom, with the time of the great comment here, sometimes boring vanilla is better than ****y Jalapeno.
That's definitely true.
How do you feel about that, Jeremy? I mean, I guess it depends on the situation, but I don't know.
Yeah, no idea where to go with that one.
You got me. God.
Lone Wolf says, Give knocks another year.
Sometimes tight ends take time to develop.
Yeah, they do take time to develop.
You know, everyone says they're the It's the position that takes the longest to develop in the NFL.
The professional levels, you know, we'll give them time.
We're not gonna We're just disappointed a little bit in you knocks and hopefully you hear us and you come back with a vengeance at some port.
Some point because I know you've got he's got that edge in him.
He's Dawson knocks.
He's got a little edge in him.
He's got to come back strong at some point.
We got the rest of this season and we still got him for two more years, so I mean, yeah, it's a little bit of a sop****re slump for him, but it's a work in progress, so he's the third.
I think he's 1/4 round pick.
He's 1/4 round pick.
You know, you can't expect the world of this guy third round pick.
I think we traded up Thio and got him.
Yeah, we traded Trader Aware fourth round picks to get him.
Eso um what else? What else? So, Max, the game's over.
We already talking about DeAndre Hopkins and how I kind of feel like he's he's over doing it a little bit.
S I kinda wanna talk about some news that came out this week.
First thing is, I believe Josh Allen has shaved his beard.
I think it's good riddance.
I don't think he can quite pull off.
He can kind of pull it off, but it's patchy.
It's a little patchy, and I know I'm the first guy everyone goes to when it comes to facial hair consulting about Yeah, because clearly, I'm looking good here, but yeah, it's a little patchy I don't like.
Yeah, we talked about his beard last week, so I thought it was OK to talk about the absence of it now, but it is gone.
It's a little, he said.
It's a little Nicky, you know.
But sometimes growing it out for a while and shaving it is is good one.
Only one Buffalo says he likes Babyface. Alan.
I like like stubble.
You know he's got a kind of like the stock photo of him that goes around its, like, doing.
He's posing for, like, stubble.
So I think we'll probably see that it's double.
Yeah, I do like Stubble Island.
I think that is the superior Allen.
Um, when compared to beard, Alan, mustache Allen, Um, complete Babyface Alan Stubble Island. Yeah.
So that was good.
Um, what do I have here to see, uh, weekly update? Max, does a J.
Klein still suck? Um, yeah, I think he sucks.
He wasn't that bad against cardinals, right? Nothing.
Maybe your ankles, I guess.
It wasn't a week where we're just, like, up.
There's Klein ****ing up again.
One game against the Seahawks can't right all of the wrongs of of a J. Klein.
Let's be federal.
Let's not have recency bias.
Say, like, you know, a J.
He might be our best linebacker because that game against the Seahawks, like no like that was one game.
He didn't look terrible against the Cardinals, but I still think he's not that great of a player.
Well, that's what makes our weekly A J.
Klein update more interesting because I came up with it when it was just like for fun.
It was just about to say, Yeah, he still sucks.
He sucks all the time.
But then he was really good for a week.
So now, to me, that kind of makes this segment a little interesting.
It's like, Oh, like, this answer is not gonna be a debate.
Then we have to have, like, meaningful answers.
I don't understand.
He definitely wasn't, I guess.
Great. But he wasn't bad.
I don't think he suck this week, so I would say he did not suck this week.
But does it still suck? Probably not this time.
This time next Saturday.
Where we gonna be saying, Jeremy, we don't know.
It's gonna be the what's gonna happen over this bye week.
Was he gonna did? He has added some intrigue, So that's all I'm saying.
There, Um, some some A f c east news.
Uh, the Patriots beat the Ravens.
And Max, I got to say, like, I'm this whole like, you know, it's a week to week league.
Uh, yeah, I'm starting to understand it.
That more and more like I'm getting it like I.
I feel like I will get less mad in the future for close games where we expect a better performance because, I mean, there's that week where the Bangles blew up the Titans.
Yeah, and then we have the Patriots and the Jets like neck and neck for a game.
And then the Patriots turn around and beat the Ravens s.
Oh, yeah, I just I feel like it's really crazy.
It's just so much parody in the National Football League.
We know this, and it is so weird how there's so many factors that play with all the because it's such a physical sport and it's really there's more parody than any other, any other sport, any other American sport out there.
Um and uh, that's why that's what makes it so fun.
And listen, I don't think the Ravens suck, but they're not what we thought they were coming into the year, and I think we're talking about Should we talk a little bit about the Lamar Jackson stuff like like, is Lamar Jackson really the guy Last thing before we do that, though, with the Patriots, I I came up with my own stat and that my set is that Jacoby Meyers, the Patriots undrafted wide receiver, and Cam Newton have the same number of touchdown passes in the last five games.
Wow, it's incredible.
Yeah, Jacoby Meyers had a touchdown pass and this Ravens game.
If you're a Patriots fan, are you ready to get rid of Jared Stidham and say, All right, let's just have Jacoby Meyers BR backup.
Or just have Jacoby Meyers start over Cam Newton because he was the high school quarterback.
Apparently, Can he tell him self? So, yeah, that's the That's the big question.
Yeah, that's like the It's like the issue the Browns had a couple of years ago with, uh, Well, I forget the name of that.
The wide receiver converted quarterback wide receiver.
Someone hit me up in the comments, if you know who I'm thinking of.
Um, but yeah, they had a guy that was a wide receiver that was the next quarterback and was like, Well, this might be our best option quarterback.
I think that might be the same thing.
Would Jacoby Meyers? Yeah.
So they have the same number of passing touchdowns.
Um anyhoo, Lamar Jackson.
Yeah, Let's let's talk about Lamar Jackson.
I'm thinking I e thinking a trail prior, by the way, Terrelle Pryor in the Browns.
Oh, former Buffalo Bill.
You mean trail Prior? Yeah.
Former built E for a couple of totally forgot about that.
I forgot he was on the bills. Wow.
Yeah, we signed him for a couple weeks.
Um, that was a flash in the pan.
Who was he? The one who are Was it Joan too, Cause, like that interception against the Bears, because it was like it was thrown low and they tried to, like, shovel it up, and they just like, Oh, yeah, yeah, that was bad.
What are you talking about? That was Peterman's best game.
It was the first game that I think he started and finished.
And the only game that he started there.
At last last year, people smarter than we were saying that, you know, the Ravens had a good offense.
But is it something? Is it like sustainable? That's something they can keep up that other teams won't eventually figure out.
And this year kind of seems like that might be the case.
E think, Jack Prescott still has more passing yards than Lamar Jackson this season.
Well, at least he did before that last game.
Yeah, and like it's it's almost like it's getting to get is getting to be more reminiscent of, like the Colin Kaepernick 40 Niners where, you know, it was a huge breakout success the first year.
And then slowly, year after year, it started to not work.
A swell and I don't know, you know, were we overreact to everything in this league.
And when the Ravens jumped out to the number one seed last year were like this.
This is the new era of football.
This is Lamar Jackson's league now for the next 10 years, um, pump the brakes because I don't think it is.
And it could be the same type of situation that happened with Colin Kaepernick in San Francisco or Robert Griffin, the third and Washington.
Obviously, that situation had more injuries that involved with that, but I don't know, I don't think I don't think you could sustain it.
Funny you mention that because Robert Griffin is their backup.
Yeah, that's true.
They're like way, um, some interesting stuff going on.
The comments Max it looks like we got a Dolphins fan joining us.
And let's talk about the dolphins.
Um, they've won.
What, like five games in a row now? Yeah, they are on fire.
And the Dolphins van? Mr.
Rodriguez says, Bye week, Dolphins.
They're gonna be 73 as well as bills thinner.
Be 73 dolphins. Nice.
And you know what, Max? I don't think he's wrong.
I don't think that is a hot take at all.
Um, obviously, our division records much better, but I think we will be tied record wise with it afterwards.
How do you feel? A dolphin? Let's not count off.
Count out the feisty Drew lock in the Denver Broncos.
Like he's got dreadlocks.
How are we talking about Drew luck? We'll talk about the Dolphins.
No, but they're facing.
The Dolphins were playing the Broncos this week, okay? And so if the Broncos win, they'll be, uh, six and four.
The Broncos win.
If the Broncos win, they'll the dog is also correct.
Yeah, that would suck this evening.
Yeah, but but he just let him.
It'll be good. It'll be good.
Let's hope he's good this week.
Have you watched any Dolphins games? I have.
I watched any any comments onto a tongue of I loa.
He just looks. He just looks very.
I watched the Cardinals Dolphins game.
I think it was two weeks ago.
Um, it was the one right before the week before the Bills played the Cardinals and two.
It was a big part of the game plan in that game, and he did very well.
Obviously, like the week before that.
He was kind of thrown in to the game plan against the Rams and the Dolphins defense won that game for 22 Didn't have to do that much.
But Jared Goff Jared Goff went up to two and said, Don't worry, I got this helping that a lot.
Yeah, definitely helped him out a lot.
I'm a turnover machine today.
You just have thio not be ass.
Don't be cheeky.
Don't be cheeks And this game is yours.
Yeah, I completely Yeah, but two is looking good and I think he's I'm very scared of two And the dolphins, especially the Dolphins defense and the coaching staff like, but we can't way have not locked up the FCS yet.
I think we know that.
I think we have the best chance to win the division still, but it's gonna be close.
I don't think it's gonna come down a week 17.
I've heard people saying that, you know that we have a easier schedule than they do going forward.
I mean, we have, It's almost the same.
One thing that stands out is the Dolphins get to play the Jets one more time.
I mean, granted, we swept S so we did what we had to, but they still get to play the Jets one more time.
That's a win for them.
Um, we have to play the Steelers who are currently undefeated, whereas the Dolphins have to play the Bangles right for the Brown.
Okay, but yeah, some people think it's a little easier, but yeah, I don't know.
I'm definitely little words.
Well, I said they're one game behind us.
We could be tied after this, and as I now 100% completely accept it is a week, two week to week to week league.
And if you believe it's a week to week league spend 0481 says Jet's gonna get their first win some time And I think they're gonna be trying to say that it might be against the Dolphins.
Ah, is he saying that? You think that's what's going? Well, it would be Certainly be nice.
You were the one that brought up the fact that the Jets have to play the Dolphins.
I want to see Well, no, I was saying that the Dolphins get to play the Jets.
Oh, yeah, that's like another win.
So the Jets play the Chargers tomorrow and then the Dolphins, because I'm curious who their first win could come against.
Um, so Chargers, Dolphins, Raiders, Seahawks, Rams.
I would say maybe their best bet is the Chargers.
Yeah, it's the charges.
The charges always find ways to lose.
Um, I think I think the Jets are gonna win.
I'm a stand by my take that the Jets were going toe win two games this year.
I think it is gonna be two games.
It's like Anthony Lynn in his meetings.
He's just like, all right, game plan, like, how are we going to lose this game very closely.
Everybody on the coaches like, can we? Can we try to win the game closely? He's like, No, we don't do that.
Let's find a way to be down by four points with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Have a very close chance of winning the game.
And then our rookie quarterback ****s this up.
He's like he's like, If we can lose the lead in the final seconds.
Yeah, about those nail biters.
Eso If not that.
I mean, maybe they could beat the Patriots.
The second go around.
They did pretty well the first time Joe Joe Flacco was looking elite again, right? He sure waas, I think joke.
Maybe Joe Flacco's your franchise quarterback in New York.
Maybe New Jersey? Uh huh.
Are you saying New Jersey? The state? Or he has.
He's wearing a New Jersey Joe Flacco.
You're saying he could be the franchise quarterback for the Jets? Yeah, yes, that's not New York, though, because the Bills were the only team. E.
Joe Flacco is not a quarterback.
So, um, I'm curious some.
There's a question here that I would like to bring up because I kind of wrote it down.
Robert asked, Are we gonna give Pittsburgh their first loss? Uh, I feel like that is a big stand out game on our schedule.
What do you think? Yeah, I feel like the consensus about the Steelers is like they are good, but they don't look like they're undefeated like they don't like like their undefeated, But they don't look like they don't really give.
Seems is giving them the recognition of being undefeated.
It feels like it feels like everyone's talking way more about the Chiefs than they are about the Steelers.
It's like whenever we mentioned their records, like, you know, 708 No, it's like for now, Come on.
Yeah, it was one eventually, but yeah, I've watched their game against the Giants earlier this season, and then if you saw their game against the Cowboys, it's like they don't look like a steam roller.
You know, they don't, um but they're very well, Coach Mike Tomlin obviously, is amazing.
Um, but yeah, I think this is this.
That would be a great opportunity if the if Sean McDermott could beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I'm not sure if that game would be home or away.
But if you could come out of there with a win regardless, if that team is undefeated at the time, that's a huge statement win, because think about the winds we have.
If we were able to get a win this season over the Seahawks, one of the other good teams we've beaten the Raiders, the Dolphins and the and the Steelers be impressive.
Steelers game is a home game for us, which I hope so, because we played at their stadium last time.
I think I figured it would be home.
Get to play him at home and I mean, I feel like both sides of the ball if both sides of the ball, for us or just good, if we have, if you see her good offense and our defense is just fine, I think we can.
I think we could be distillers for sure.
I think we can beat any team were clearly capable, hanging tough with any team.
Now it's just it's just the fact of putting it all together for all four quarters and I'm just gonna say more football, football ISMs like that 10 years back get after the quarterback play for all four quarters. 60 minutes.
Interesting thing about the Steelers is they drafted Chase Claypool in the second round, and when they did that, I just thought like overdraft, right, because everybody was saying like, Oh, he's going to be like fifth round, fourth round somewhere.
And then he And then he ran like a 445 And everybody's like, Never mind.
He's really good.
Since he can run on food, I gotta I gotta mini rant.
Why? Why do these NFL G m's like keep overthinking these white? The stud wide receivers like you think about what happened.
Metcalf A couple of years ago, he falls to the second round.
I think he was like the eighth wide receiver taken in that draft.
Then you think about what happened to Chase Claypool this this year like and it's like these were both guys that, like the media, is hyped up as being like potential first round prospects.
And it's like it's like these guys were just these thes GM.
We're just overthinking this.
I don't understand.
Like, why couldn't we grab Chase Claypool? Yeah, I have been happy with them in like the fourth or fifth.
If that's a tractor like protecting them.
Yeah, but But we What? This draft when we drafted gave Davis and Isaiah Hodgins we still drafted two guys.
I wouldn't have minded if one of them was chased people because you know he's healthy, unlike Isaiah Hodgins has been, has been.
But he's been playing pretty well, though.
Yeah, gave Davis has been amazing.
That's not not to say anything about Gabe Davis, but, like it just kind of blows my mind when you think about the last two years with D.
Metcalf and chasing Hey, Davis was, like, amazing and like pre season.
But I mean, he's had some decent game. He's been good.
He's lived up to his value.
I think he's exceeded his value as 1/4 round.
I don't know e don't know how many times I've seen people this season say, Oh, John Brown's out.
This is Gabe Davis game.
He's gonna blow up, and he does like nothing.
Um, but there's always one of those, like every week.
Some people think that butt e I mean, I guess you just need a little more time.
Uh, but yeah, mhm.
I forgot what? Where we were going.
We were talking about the Steelers and Chase Claypool.
Uh, look, this is about a week, so we might be getting into our comments section a little bit early, so please feel free.
Uh, Max, I do have an update on another stat that I put together on.
This is something that I I done before.
So this is my second installment, and it's kind of like my NFC East update way talked about him last time.
Uh, the NFC East is currently 10 26 and one combined, and hilarious.
It's a very bad one, but eight of those 10 wins have come against each other.
That's what I think Is that, like that is not only do they not have a lot of winds, they're the They're the worst division easily, but eight of their 10 wins have come against each other.
Now, what I think is interesting.
I did this a couple weeks back, but I compared the compared the total wins in the NFC East to the total wins in the NFC West.
Could you pull up the NFC West total winds and compare those numbers potentially because I remember I did it like, four weeks ago, and it was like it was like nine wins, too 18 or something. It was ridiculous.
So you want to compare the winds between the A.
Okay, so we're at NFC building Dolphin, F, C West, the Bills and Dolphins or seven and six.
I'm sorry. I'm compared.
The NFC East winds to the NFC West.
Oh, and of C West started the NFC bad F C West.
Um, this obviously we did not plan.
It's actually very similar.
So the top two teams have seven and six wins, which are 13.
Another six for the Cardinals.
So that puts them at 19 and four for the 40 Niners. So that is 23.
So 23 wins and 16 losses.
23 wins, 23 16 versus 10, 10, 26 1 Ties cares about ties 10 26 23 wins in the NFC West to compared compared to 10 wins in the NFC East.
And for those of you that are, you know, still upset with the Cardinals, that's fine.
They did lose to the Seahawks on Thursday night, almost, and they almost had the opportunity to win the game the exact same way.
There's like the final seconds the Cardinals had the ball, Um, but it didn't work out this time.
This time, it ended the way our game should have ended.
It ended with a sack on 4th and 10.
Yes, how has happened? Have a nice Yeah, and Oliver was so close to getting a collar.
But technically, the Rams are a little bit ahead of the Cardinals right now because they have one less lost.
Their six and three Cardinals are six and four.
So if the Rams can win tomorrow, the Cardinals will be in third place in their division.
And then I guess we're Rams fans for the rest of this season and hope that the Cardinals can't even get a wild card spot.
Yeah, let's hope for that.
Because we're petty.
Right? Were petty is ****ed because that was a stupid win for the Cardinals.
That was so dumb.
Like thank you Cardinals fans for jumping in on the size donations, but we're still very upset, and you would have been so nice.
It would have been so nice, Jeremy to sit down this week on Thursday Night Football and turn on the TV and be like, Hey, see those two teams? So those two very good teams in the NFC Wiest East or the not teams? Yeah.
Two teams in the NFC West we beat both of those teams would have been so nice to say that.
But we were unable to say that we were robbed of that joy.
We just say, Oh, we went one on one against those two.
Like, That's not cool to say.
You know what? We're definitely gonna be Rams fans, because on Monday night they play Tom Brady and the Buccaneers.
I'm I'm a Rams fan that night.
I like the Rams.
I like the Rams because we beat the Rams.
Also, we're two and one against the NFC West.
How many people actually like that? Zatz.
Pretty **** good If you told me that told me that we were gonna be too and one against the NFC West, like midway through the season.
Um, before the season, if you began, if you told me that I'd be like, OK, I'll take it.
I'll take that 100.
And 100 times like that's awesome.
And we gotta do.
Says they only donated because they stole a win.
Yeah, e I don't think they stole it, but, I mean, they stole, They stole.
Look, before we even took the lead, I was, and even they stole it.
Jeremy, that's a miracle play.
They stole it, but it happens, all right, But, uh, even when we took the lead on that Josh Allen drive, I was thinking we didn't deserve to win this game because the offense was playing so bad in the second half.
I was being negative.
I mean, I was going to take the win.
We deserve to win the games where we're up by that many points with, like, 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
We deserved to win those games.
There's Ah, sorry I brought it up.
We're not talking about the cardinals.
E don't mean to bring that back, Thio.
So it's bye week.
Let's get some discussions going.
What do you guys want to talk about? Going into the bye week? Uh, Max, I understand the bye week but I hate it.
I wish I could watch the Bills play every Sunday all the time.
Hey, it's fact I don't get to watch them.
What I don't understand about my own brain when it comes to the bye week is during the offseason.
Like if there's say, like, four weeks to go before the kick off of the NFL season, I'm like, Okay, only four more weeks.
It's like a week like a week before the start of the NFL season.
It feels like footballs already begun to me because I'm like, Okay, it's so close.
The anticipation is killing me.
But when Bye week, it's It's like, Wow, it's been forever since I've watched the Bills play football, It's like it's only to It's only a two week stretch.
But yeah, my brain is still like, What's going on here? This is ridiculous.
I've been waiting for 84 years toe watch the Bills, play football.
What if, like instead of a bye week, you just make let those two teams all do like steroids so and they play each other all on steroids, so it's like all the teams get.
They don't get a bye week But at one point in the season, they all get to do steroids and be better.
And yeah, maybe.
Yeah, so we're back.
We're back to 16 weeks on and you don't have to worry about by weeks everyone where they get to date drugs.
How about they just, like, just just put for our entertainment, take like CFL players and put them in Bills uniforms and put the same names and numbers on the back of their jerseys? It's the actual NFL players, but, like, have them play a game and, like, will just be tricked into thinking that like, Well, no, it's CFL players, but we'll be like, Oh, it's football.
We could, like, pretend it's like the Bills playing, even when it's none of the players that we know.
Yeah, I agree. That's a good idea.
I think it's better than your PED idea.
Yeah, that probably have some negative Ripper repercussions in the long run.
I just thought of it.
I'll stop my head, and I'm not gonna take it back.
I'm gonna keep it out there.
So there you go.
Least you're you're willing toe to keep it to roll with it.
Um, access all recently that Twitter is considering a dislike button or even like an up, vote down vote kind of thing. Like read.
And I was instantly kind of into this because I just thought of like, the people who post awful football takes like someone who's just like Dr Alan still inaccurate.
It's like you no longer have to ratio them.
You can just, like, just dislike it.
And then that person, instead of getting all those comments and think, Oh wow, I really generated discussion.
They could just get all these dislikes and like, Wow, I guess I'm pretty stupid And I shouldn't post stupid things like that a lot, actually, Yeah, I would like it to What would it look like? Because you have the heart button already? So you gotta move that over and then add what would be like to dislike.
It's possible they have to move to many things.
What if it was like, That's a red circle with a line through it? And it's like you to hit that Instead, it's like, no, this'll isn't good.
Don't like it, don't want it.
But that's instantly went to like football post like then just trapped.
How much with Pff? Get, like, Just like my bills mafia.
Um, but apparently Pff has been very, uh, like, kind of pro buffalo bills lately, right? Like, yeah, the Sam Monsen guy that I hated for the longest of times he's converted.
He did the Josh an apology form.
Um, he he likes the bills.
Now, I guess, um which I guess, appreciate you coming around.
I'm not gonna be like, Hey, because I don't think Bills fans could be hypocritical and say, You know why I can't everybody just respect Josh on.
And then when somebody respects Josh out and be like, Well, you did it too late.
Just like like, let's let it slide.
They're here now.
They're here to stay Flood slide.
Um, that's good.
I haven't been paying too much attention to him, you know, I guess, uh, because I'm doing my own BFF thing now.
Yeah, eso Max, I have been talking about doing our own football rating program like Pff, but obviously BFF, didn't you, in case you do that, the week I was gon e what I was doing but I was gon e think you had a wedding? Um, something like that in.
I think you were going to be the groom.
You were told to be the groom.
I believe that's what you're assigned.
E got to take my recycling in that day.
So that was way out of that.
We did BFF ratings, and we rated a couple players.
And, uh, yeah, I think maybe we should.
I kind of forgot about it afterwards.
And I think it be kind of cool if I had built up enough energy to start a Twitter account.
That was all about Buffalo fanatics focus and did really super in depth ****ytics like you and I do Jeremy about our bills players and then just have a completely arbitrary grading system that makes no sense.
And then everyone can like those tweets and stuff would be cool, like, depending on the week.
Like I was thinking, you know, Pff goes It's like 99 I think.
Yeah, and I think, why use all those numbers they use decimals to, like, Yeah, six.
Like this person to 68.4.
Like, how do you seriously determine that 0.
4 comes exactly like that's stupid.
Too many numbers.
So your idea was out of 777 is perfect.
And I guess you could say my idea was binary.
So zero for bad one for good.
So it's just ones and zeros.
Keep it Saturday because we don't have We don't have brain space toe have, like, you know, you know, 50% like the seven be black and white.
I was, uh it depends on the week.
I think some weeks I would just do like, B minus.
Like, this person gets a B minus.
This person gets a five.
This person gets two out of four cupcakes.
This person gets a little helmet sticker on their helmet.
Like in college football? Yeah.
This person gets three crocodile tears.
Yeah, and I think that's bad.
One gets ah, rabbits left foot.
Some of you were like, What is that good or bad? Eso.
When a team is signing somebody new, they're like, Hey, I'm thinking about picking this guy up a za free agent.
It's like what's his BFF ratings would be separating.
For his first three weeks of last season, they gave him one out of four cupcakes, but then the rest of the season, they gave him half a chicken bone.
What would be the NFL head coach That would be most likely to get fooled by our BFF rating system and think it's actually Pff and then signed the guy based on our BFF rating system.
It might be like Adam gays, right? I'll stop my case.
Yeah, maybe Jon Gruden.
Yeah, yeah, you do.
Can you do like it on the spot? Gruden reaction told that this incoming players got three out of four couples.
I don't on the spot.
Three out of four cupcakes, Man. That's pretty intense.
I love cupcakes.
Love cupcakes, man.
This guy's must be a group grinder.
It's like but but Coach, He's also got two consecutive weeks where he was given, uh, of flats instead of drums.
Drums flat over.
That is a negative sign.
Will have to work on that.
I love drumsticks.
Okay, But you know, clearly you know, lesser to the drumsticks, so we'll have to work on that.
But we could teach that out of him.
Oh, and we have two people in the comments, both in Gaze g e.
I think we also have to have Dave Gettleman.
Dave Gettleman would get fooled.
Hey, didn't have his computer folks around.
He would get fooled.
Yeah, I could see him like saying, Sign this player and they're like But they were given the multiple weeks of, like, rabbits feats.
And then Gettleman like, shows him he's like petting a rabbit.
He's like, Sign up.
It's like E think he likes rabbits on Lee.
One Buffalo says, speaking of cupcakes, I'm sure Mike McCarthy would Yeah, because Mike McCarthy, on his year off, he like he studied and he tried to like better himself.
So I think this if he came across a new rating system, he'd be like, Oh, if it's new, I'm gonna check it out because he wants to adapt.
So Mike McCarthy absolutely would go for it.
Yeah, I think that Yeah, that's probably Baker.
Mayfield would probably send us angry tweets whenever we give him a bad rating.
He's like he's like zero cupcakes.
I was at least a two out of four cupcake braiding like E don't get less than two cupcakes ever or he likes just send like some snarky things, like, you know, like I took that personally or something.
Like, motivate himself through social media.
Adam Gays for 10 more years. Yes, please.
Spino 481 We need to get all bills fans to spam jets.
Twitter to extend gaze.
That reminds me.
So I want to bring this up.
That's a good idea, but that sounds like a similar idea to what happened with the Jaguars fans, Um, and the Vikings recently.
I don't know if you heard about this, Jeremy, but the Jaguars Jaguars fans are taking to Twitter and they're taking toe the NFL Pro Bowl voting dot com.
And they're all voting for Janek and Doc way their former defensive end that's now on the Vikings.
They're all voting for him to go to the Pro Bowl so that it screws the Vikings because it costs them an additional draft pick.
If he gets voted to go to the crook, go to the Pro Bowl.
I think this is like compensatory picks or something like that.
Okay, remember hearing about that and I was curious so we would screw over the Yeah, they would screw over the Vikings because they're so mad because Jaguars fans are mad at in GAC way for leaving.
So they're like, All right, we might as well screw the team that got away, chose to be on.
And, yeah, we screwed over Vikings.
Did you see that thing? The Patriots have a cornerback of J.
Jackson, who's had, like, an interception five straight games.
He was left off the pro bowling ballot ballot because apparently it's up to teams.
The teams get to decide what players get on it, and they were saying that they left him off because he gets like, a bonus.
If he gets, it's voted to the Pro Bowl.
So it was like they left him off intentionally so they wouldn't have to pay them a bonus if he made it.
Oh, yeah, yeah, that's Ah, that's interesting.
Oh, it's been Spino 481 says he's on the Ravens.
Was he picked up by the Vikings that he moved up? Oh, he traded.
Okay, so that's why the compensatory pick.
I'm sorry I had that wrong.
I didn't do my research.
So does the comp pick.
Help the Jaguars get a better one.
I don't think it helps the Jaguars at all, but I think it just screws over the Vikings.
But how does it help the Vikings? So they traded him.
It's not like they let him walk.
Right? Um I don't know.
E don't have the full story.
One punch, man. I gotta put this up there.
Says Baker seems like a frat boy.
Alfa Male? Yeah.
At least somebody who wants to be an Alfa male.
But he definitely Yes, definitely seems like a frat boy.
And I think he wishes he was an Alfa male.
I don't like Baker.
I just I don't like his face.
I think he's Ah, I don't like his attitude.
I wanted us to draft Baker.
Actually, now, I'm glad we did Not very glad we did not.
But I gotta say I wanted Baker.
I wish you had never said that, Max.
Yeah, I Yeah, you were here for me.
And now you're like there, didn't you? Coming out of the draft process, Did you? Did you like Baker at all? Um I don't really care. I know.
I don't think it was that great.
I was like, for me at the time, you know, I was very like, you know, I was not as there's a more naive for football.
I didn't care for Baker because I looked at his highlights, which I know they're just highlights.
But I like to look for, like, very impressive plays.
And whoever put together Baker's highlights was just him throwing toe wide open receivers.
And I was like, uh, this doesn't really get me.
I thought, uh, I thought everybody else so good.
I liked Rosen, Donald Allen and, uh, Lamar Jackson on.
I watched a lot of Lamar Jackson because I thought he if we stayed at, like, 22 or wherever we were, I was like, he's probably gonna be, like, available to us.
Um, I didn't anticipate as trading up toe like 12 and then seven.
So I was like, If we're gonna stay low and you know Alan Rosen, Baker and Donald go, I was like, Lamar was probably gonna be like the more realistic choice.
So I watched a lot of Lamar and I was like, You know, I like him.
I was like, he's very entertaining toe watch.
But no, I liked almost everybody.
I don't really have a reason to hate any of them, but yeah, I gotta say, in hindsight, I think it's official.
Now that we have the best, we have the best quarterback out of that class.
I agree. Mark Jackson is not bad.
I know Lamar Jackson won M v p, but again he won an M v p.
It was like a new like offense, and everybody was kind of predicting that it wouldn't very like be sustainable.
And now it's not.
And he's not really being talked about as much.
He's just he's there.
But his bad games are just so bad.
I know we talked about this like a week or two ago, but he has games where he doesn't even get over like, ah, 100 yards passing.
Um, and I'm just like Josh Allen's worst games or not even that bad.
So, yeah, it's weird because, you know, he has downfield threat.
He has Marquis Brown.
He has the tight end.
He has his Mark Andrews, like he's got a talented roster to work around him like so it doesn't make sense how it's bad games are so bad.
I mean, I think the biggest credit to go towards Baltimore for that amazing year last year, at least in the regular season, was their offense coordinator, Greg Roman, because he was the one that manufactured that whole thing and was able to get it to work.
So credit to him.
So, uh, yeah, well distracted there, uh, Thanksgiving is coming up, Max.
Um, so I saw a good tweet today.
Somebody said three NFL is actively trying to prevent social gatherings and they posted the, um, schedule for Thanksgiving Day.
So I think it's like the first two games are pretty bad.
It's like I think like the Lions and Texans.
Cowboys air Obviously playing, I think I think it's cowboy and, uh, Cowboys football team cowboys in football team cowboys.
And I don't want to ruin Thanksgiving.
We're not trying.
That's gonna be a top.
I just that's just, uh, just off the top of my head, like the whole name change of the Washington football team that's gonna be ah, hot button topic around Thanksgiving dinner tables with with some crazy uncles, you know, you're like, you know, why did they change the net? The **** name For years, it was the Washington are words because they won't say our words will say actual things.
And so that that will be a question.
What's wrong with that word? We've been saying it for years.
It's like, Well, that's kind of the problem.
Like you just said it for years.
20 we have the Ravens and Steelers.
That looks like a good one.
Ravens Steelers. Okay.
Yeah, but those of you watching, we need to turn turn to you Like what you guys want to talk about. It could be bills.
It could be anything.
I know. We're going into the bye week.
Uh, what do we got? Please throw your questions, Your comments, anything.
Well, I just got canceled by only one buffalo for saying the first half of the our words.
Uh, you know what? I'll just leave the stream.
Oh, please don't I don't know what to do after that.
So what do we got, Max? Do you have anything? Um, let's spin.
0481 wants to bring up Josh Rosen.
And because we were talking about this 2018 class and, uh, Rosen drew the shortest straw he could possibly draw, get picked by the worst team in the NFL, then get traded to the new worst team in the NFL.
Then they draft a quarterback.
He's never gotten a fair shake, but at the same time, like I can't sit here and say that like he's He was a great quarterback.
Like there's a reason he wasn't given a fair shake like he just he wasn't he wasn't good enough.
I don't think if you put him on the field for a talented team, he would do anything mind blowing.
Um, I think it is what it is, but obviously, you know, it sucks for him the situations he was put in, I still don't think he if he was on drafted to I don't think he would.
If he was drafted to a good team, he would be a good quarterback, though.
Yeah, um, I like this question, Max.
This is something we like to do in the off season.
What position do you want to draft in 2021? Let's talk about let's talk about, um we just We just gave re Ferguson extension Max, You not liking his long snapping abilities? No, I just wanted extra long snapper.
Uh, you want to back up to the position that isn't allowed to get tackled? It was just It was just right off the top of my head.
Uh, first round pick Max based on, like, how are position groups are playing right now.
Let's let's go, linebacker.
I want even if even if we bring back, uh, Matt Milano.
And you know, we signed Tremaine Edmunds.
Even if we bring both bring back both Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano.
I still want additional linebacker death just on what's happened this year with our linebackers.
Um, I think that death is necessary and you want to spend the first round pick on a depth player.
Yeah, because we're that good of a team.
Now we're that good of a team.
We can We can afford to do that.
Um, I would say first round, either.
I'll be okay with, like, just let's just go ahead and get like that.
Solidified C b two other boundary corner.
If that works out.
I know that That's not great for your Levi Wallace, buddy, but do you think about that? A cornerback in the first round? Cornerback? Uh, you know, it's not good for Levi, but it's necessary.
And, uh, yeah, we do need another stud corner opposite trade White.
I wouldn't be upset with the cornerback selection.
I think that would be a great choice for us to make eso.
Yeah, I wouldn't be upset with that.
Be said for Levi, but I wouldn't be upset.
I would be okay with linebacker.
And like, a later round.
Because assuming we bring back Milano and Edmunds, the third linebacker position isn't always out there.
Unless it's just a stud who falls to us and is in his versatile like, uh, Lorenzo Alexander was or something like that.
Um, Max, how about this one? What? What game? You think you're gonna watch? I'm really excited to see what happens with the New Orleans Saints this week because Drew Brees is out.
I think he just got put on IR, actually, and they're putting in tasting.
He's gonna be tasted Yeah.
It was originally gonna be Jamis Winston.
And then shot of Peyton was like, psych.
No, gonna be Taysom Hill all the way.
Um, do they just, like, have to do it just to like what they have there? Do you think? Tastes? Um, yeah, I looked up systems.
This is gonna be that's as a passer this season.
And there's been five games where he has thrown a pass.
So he gets a passer rating.
Three of those games has resulted in a zero passer rating.
Yeah, that's what happened, I guess, um I don't know, but they pay them money, and he and even Taysom Hill keeps saying I want to be a quarterback.
So you think they they just gotta say, Let's just put him out there so we can say we did it so Well, no, I think it's just I think it's gonna be incredibly interesting to watch what the game plan is.
Um Taysom Hill, Obviously the Swiss Army knife of quarterbacks.
The Swiss Army knife of the league.
Like I am surprised they didn't go with Jamis Winston because I love Jamis Winston.
But obviously you know you know what you're gonna get in James Winston He's gonna throw three touchdowns and three interceptions in the game and throw for, like, a million yards, but it's gonna cost you the game at the end.
Um, I'm surprisingly, with Jason Hill just because it's gonna be so bizarre to watch.
Seeing how they how often they throw the ball.
What kind of crazy creative formation Sean Payton does.
If if you're disappointed, the Bills aren't playing football this Sunday like I am and Jeremy are disappointed you should turn its one PM Falcons at Saints.
That's gonna be crazy to watch.
It's gonna be interesting football to watch.
See how they use Taysom Hill.
I'm looking at the schedule right now, and, um, Titans and Ravens could be a good one.
Yeah, that'll be a good one.
Um, I guess I would watch the Dolphins because I am curious.
E haven't actually watch the Dolphins game, and I would like to see how to actually goes.
Packers and colts could be a good game.
Yeah, I think that could be a good game because the Packers came off, you know, they had a very disappointing performance against the Jaguars.
They came out with the win but, you know, Expecto blow the Jaguars out of the water, you would think, and they did not do that.
And then the culture, like a week sneaky.
What's gonna happen? Colts have a good defense.
Philip Rivers is just that.
That football is getting a little too heavy for him. Yep.
They can run the ball.
Quinton Nelson is amazing.
And, yeah, they cold speed in the Titans on Thursday Football.
That was fun to watch.
I was very pumped about that.
So I was like, Okay, now now we're because that that's huge for the bills in terms of seating.
That was awesome.
How about this, Max Lone wolf asked to the bills.
Need a dome? We're doing new stadium.
No, I would like the elements.
I would like a stadium with a retractable roof.
I think that's what they should dio.
So if, like, it's like a blizzard is coming, they can at least close it for a little while so they don't have toe, so it doesn't just cover the entire field.
That blizzard game with the Colts and the Bills.
That was not a fun game to watch for me.
I was watching on TV.
I didn't think that was a fun game.
I didn't really care for it.
Wait, Which game? Sorry.
The Colts and Bills.
The Blizzard didn't enjoy that game watching.
No, they couldn't so fun to watch.
They couldn't even make a field goal from, like 30 yards.
It went over time.
Man, that was awesome.
I didn't think it was fun. It was so cool to watch.
Let me know that za cold take a I'm wrong.
I didn't enjoy it, Been says.
That's what makes it more fun.
It was so insane.
The six inches of snow No one could do anything.
It was hilarious.
I was laughing the whole time, but also on the edge of my seeks.
It was so crucial for the Bills to make the playoffs.
Obviously, we get into the playoffs that year because of that game.
It was so awesome.
Kelvin Benjamin caught a touchdown.
He threw a touchdown.
All sorts of crazy **** happened in that game.
Deonte Thompson called a deep ball from Davis Webb com.
Let's think about think about the things I just listed Calvin Benjamin caught a touchdown.
Nathan Peterman threw a touchdown.
Nathan Peterman gets knocked out cold.
Not we're not really cold, but Davis Webb has come into the game.
Davis Webb throws a deep ball to DeOnte Thompson.
Um, the all those things happened and the Bills one and Sean McDermott called the time out or no, Sean McDermott chose to pump the ball with four minutes left in overtime in the fourth quarter at like midfield, and it was basically like asking for a tie.
It was stupid **** ever.
Oh, it was awesome, but was awesome.
But it was It was so cool.
It was so awesome.
All those careers things happened.
There's well over 50 people in here, and only two have gone out of their way to agree with you.
Hey, but the two that have gone out to agree with me Spino 481 and, uh, the honey guy both typed in all caps, so that means that means they liked it extra.
How about this one? Ryan says Mitch Morris getting paid to get hurt.
Um, I brought it up because I want to talk about Mitch Morse.
I disagree about him getting paid to get hurt.
This is his first, um, injury that he's really had this season last season.
I think he maybe got her at the end of one game, but he was back.
But how about the Mitch Morse not playing on Sunday despite being healthy? Um, I was listening to people who were saying, You know, they think it was because it was his fifth concussion.
He's a little older.
He's like, You know what? 28 or something? 27? And they're saying they probably just wanted to give him, like, some rest.
But like McDermott answered in such a way, that was just that.
Just created so much drama, Max.
Like, What do you think? Yeah, it was.
It was again McDarby akin to cute with the offensive line, I think like I don't I don't understand what that was about.
If he was still hurt, just make him an active like I don't understand why he was active, but obviously was clear. Not playing.
It doesn't make sense to me.
He was cleared, but maybe, you know, he was remember like, but more time could be better.
Um, but offensive line is going to be determined.
It's gonna be a week to week decision like moment, McDermott said.
Something along the lines of like, you know, we feel that we felt that we had a lot of momentum with the group we had out there last week.
We want to continue that momentum, see what we've got, and he's like, Oh, we'll reevaluate.
This week is McDermott always says, but yeah, I don't like it like I understand.
I'm sorry you guys would hang you made it the highest paid center and now you're gonna act like, uh, he may not start a center, so I don't get I don't get that move.
Um so it sounds.
It sounds a little bit like what happened to quit in Spain, you know, let's not Let's not let Quinn Spain situation happen again.
But Mitch Morse was playing well.
Mitch Morse was playing well before he gets like, there's no reason to just be like like I just thought that was down like that.
Uh, yeah, he's going to cute.
I don't like it.
Uh, Ronald here says, this is Dolphins fan.
The bills are not going to make it past the first round in the playoffs.
Um, well, that's mean.
I don't like that at all.
What? Maybe we can all as Ronald Dolphins fan said The Bills, Dolphins fan bills.
Not gonna make a fan.
But you're saying we're gonna make it to the playoffs, though.
Yeah, thanks for that, I guess.
I mean, we already know how to make the playoffs, but come on now.
Very Randy says he's permanent in concussion protocol.
He got through it in a week this time and he was cleared to play.
I think they made him healthy because we had a lot of old line injuries against the Seattle Seahawks.
So part of me wondered if they're just worried about that happen again.
So they they kept him dressed and they said, If we need you because I guess Ryan Bates could be the third string center if something happened to Feliciano.
But but that he's almost that's That's it, I think, after him, except I and Seki.
But so, yeah, it's Morse got through it pretty quickly this time, which I'm happy and I think they kept him dressed because, like I said, of all the injuries we had against the Seahawks.
I think they just wanted to be safe.
Yeah, that's a That's a That's a good idea that this is what happened.
I wouldn't put that past McDermott.
That's probably a smart way of thinking about it.
E show this one.
This is a Bills fan.
The Dolphins are not going to make it past the first round of the playoffs.
Good troll control.
Um, I like this spin zone by spino 481 McDermott probably just said that to keep his attention off the players and directed at him, he's referencing the whole offensive line shake up in like, Oh, we're gonna reevaluate this group and and, you know, see what comes of it.
So, yeah, maybe he's tryingto McDermott's trying to get the attention on him and away from his players.
I like that, uh, dirty Randy says.
Could must be an RV one.
Um, sometimes he seems like it.
I think they like.
And this I think this past Cardinals game.
He actually out snapped Singletary.
If I'm not mistaken.
But the run game was not looking good.
We didn't mention that in our good and bad, but running Seahawks Hamas is, I think, kind of making a push for it.
He's been? Yeah, he really is.
James got eye surgery so he can see the color of jerseys he throws to now.
Yeah. You got LASIK eye surgery.
It's not a coin flip anymore.
Yeah, that's funny.
Which is why, Which is why I'm super surprised that the states are starting takes him after knowing that James got surgery in the offseason and his eyes were fixed.
Really gave us another reason why, uh, defense is going to to Josh Allen up and spit him out.
Yeah, just like they've done every single time they've played.
Josh Allen. Right.
Uh, I'm throwing up PJ's comment because throwing some smack talk.
I don't necessarily agree with this, By the way.
I think to a Showed a lot against the cardinals, actually.
Um, but yeah, let's keep that smack talk going.
I think two is look good, though, Um, you know, he did what he had to against the against the Rams Rams.
It was the defense.
Completely. But against the cardinals to it, too.
It did well, thio, uh, to a bald out.
And, uh, I'm scared.
I said I said before in this podcast, but I'm scared to, uh, for the immediate future and the long term future.
That doesn't mean that I'm not confident that bills they're gonna win Max.
Which team has the best uniformed this year? Excluding the bills? Who's What's your favorite uniformed combo after a meal? Oh, boy.
Uh, let's say I the okay.
The Los Angeles Chargers when they played the Raiders when they played the Raiders this year, they had, like, these alternates that were like Navy all Navy blue that I really liked really darker.
There were darker Navy blue.
Yeah, that I like what the charges do.
But there's the charges to kind of have, like this, like minimal but modern stuff going with their uniforms when we were talking about new uniforms off season because there was a lot of new uniforms.
Um, I think the charge is one of the best, so that is a good call.
Um, I like the charges.
I just don't like the number on the helmets.
Don't care for that.
I don't know other than them.
How about those, uh, Seahawks lime green ones Oh, yeah.
Now do they were those on Thursday Night Football? But I'm wondering, Do you like them when they're all lime green, the shirt, the shirts and the pants? Or do you like it when it's like half like like on Thursday night? They're wearing half lime green and then their pants were like clam blue.
Whenever I play him in mad and I almost always pull up some form of lime cream for it.
I just think it's just so like Pop Pops.
It's very bold. Don't like it, I say.
But it's interesting.
Helps you play madam or just to see the players. Ugo.
Yeah, makes him stand up.
You know, you don't want, uh ah bland color so that you can differentiate them from the fields of the other players.
Yeah, but other uniforms, other than charges I know what kind of jumped on your They like to charges uniforms.
Yeah, I don't know.
Kind hard to think of any.
Really? I don't know.
They're all okay.
I like the bills.
I think to be a the Bills.
I one of the best people, are coming at me a little bit for my my to a take the two of might be good on guy like that because I don't want to to be good.
So I'm gonna put faith in you commenting people Justin to is not nearly as good as the media is making him sound.
Wait till he gets more film out there.
Defensive coordinators will figure him out soon.
I do think he's being very hyped up.
Yeah, I think you're right.
I think you know e get it.
He's a He's a first round pick.
He had a terrible injury like his last year of college.
So it's like, you want to see him bounce back? Um, so he's gonna get me.
Oh, yeah, and it's like there's he's marketable, too.
It's like, you know, he's in Miami.
He's got a cool name.
He's from Hawaii, like he was a start.
Alabama, like he's marketable.
Eso it makes sense why he's being hyped up so much by the media.
Yeah, Anthony has a good one right here.
The saints, all white throwbacks.
Those are pretty nice.
Are they the throwbacks? Or, like I'm thinking of the saints color rush? Yeah, I think it's like white color rushes.
Yeah, they are technically throwbacks because I don't think I've ever seen this.
Where a throwback, But they're all whites are pretty clean. Those air. Nice.
Um, Samuel, I believe he's new asking for from Buffalo.
Max, You have family from Buffalo, right? Yeah.
My dad's side of the family's from Buffalo.
But I grew up in in Northeast Connecticut, closer to Boston.
Um, so, yeah, I'm not from Buffalo.
Yeah, my stepdad's family was from Buffalo, but he was born in Southern California.
I was from here, so unfortunately, I don't really have many connections, but we're still on the bills.
Well, Max, I think this might be a good time to end, but let's Yeah, I'm gonna bring those up.
Yeah, yeah. Wait.
We haven't wanna have We now want our color rushes this year. We have not.
I almost thought I almost got the Seahawks would have been a good game because it was like halfway through this season, we hadn't worn them yet.
It was a home game way.
Everyone loves our rushes.
Everyone waiting for a good game.
Something like, Yeah, we wore them twice last season.
We have to wear them at least once this season once, but I think we're wearing our throwbacks against chargers.
People saying throwbacks.
There were rumors of that.
I think some Bills player put on their instagram story like a photo of the throwback helmets or something like that that has people talking that we might wear throwbacks.
I like the throwbacks I like.
I like variety, so I'm not really saying one more than the other.
I wish we had some.
Like red in there is an alternate like red on white.
And I wish we could do that hot.
Take potentially my favorite part about the throwbacks next week.
Um, is not standing buffalo helmet, but I love the throwback white whites we have where it's just kind of the instead of, like, the instead of a lot stripes like this on the shoulders or Yeah, the simplistic stripes back.
Yeah, those are throwbacks.
Um, like, I think people get more hype for, like, this standing buffalo helmet than they do for those.
Yeah, this'll is the last one, Max.
I will call it, but somebody asked about the red helmets.
Cameron, You're not a red helmets fan, Max.
I like the red helmets.
I wish we'd bring them back.
I like the red helmets with, Like, e think they'd go good with our blue jerseys.
I'd love to see them with, like, some red Sox as well if we can kind of mix those up.
But I would like for us to go back to the red.
Um, the only bummer is you can't do the white helmet with the red standing buffalo, like as a throwback.
That's a bummer I've seen, like in the nineties when they had the red helmet and it did the white standing buffalo like That's not the same one of the things.
Like, I think the NFL has this helmet rule and you see it with I think you're only allowed to use one helmet, um, other throwback helmets.
So, like to total helmets? No, because for the throwbacks, they still use their helmet.
They just change out the decals.
Okay, but why not let him use two different ones? And like throughout, like practice and training, they can alternate.
So it's like each one gets like the same amount of equal wearing. Lct.
Yeah, you get the same helmet type, just different colors but you alternate.
So, like your cold? Yeah, Exactly.
That's what I e but E Oh, sorry.
Quick note about that.
Like, I don't know if you notice on Thursday Night football, but the Cardinals were wearing like, they're all blacks.
And But they had the white helmets, and I was just like they need a black helmet toe wear with their all black uniforms.
That would be cool.
I don't know what the Cardinals have all black like there in Arizona, where Todd is ****.
I would not want to be wearing all black in Arizona.
I'd like get this outta here.
Uh, wouldn't want it, but Mm um All right, Max, I think it's a good time.
End it for today.
Uh, guys, thank you guys for coming.
We're going into a bite out.
