E guys were doing this one without the screen.
I managed to pop it off the deal, swinging my mic over.
All right, let's get the stream shared.
All right, we got the tweet out.
We're getting ready to rock and roll here.
Before we start the show, this is a degenerate.
The corner where we encourage degenerate behavior.
If you got him, crack him if you got him.
We'll be going here.
All right, everybody.
Welcome to the degenerates corner with your host myself, Garrett, from Iowa, you can find me on Twitter at Garrett from Iowa.
The show has always is brought to you by the unwrapped sports network, of which I am a proud contributor and happy to be with him.
A couple of whatever you wanna call housecleaning.
Night of state care of next week is Thanksgiving.
So I will not be running on Thursday night next week.
Um, I think I probably do it Wednesday night.
Show drop some picks for the Thanksgiving gambling days, but I don't see you before then.
Everybody have a happy turkey day.
And also I am going to see my brother in law here.
And I'd be two weeks from today.
And he's, uh, fairly interesting this stuff.
And apparently we're gonna do, Ah, live show on, uh, two weeks from today from his house.
And, uh, we're gonna talk Iowa golf.
I know nothing about Iowa golf, so it'll be a great show.
But we'll also be talking football, gambling and all the normal stuff that all your degenerates love.
But getting into the show, we're going to start off with some news.
Not like anything or shattering, but, oh, the bears are a dumpster fire.
I got my kings of the North shirt on.
I always love them, but they're Dumpster fire.
What the hell is going on in Chicago? Uh, I don't know what to tell you.
Apparently, Travis Key is out or he doesn't want to play one of the two, but either Which way? He's not an option.
Uh, falls got hurt. End of the game.
I have not heard for sure.
End of the Vikings game, which was a complete **** show.
We aren't really gonna get into that too much because this is the Hawkeye broadcast but, uh, yeah, just a complete **** show.
Fools this hurt.
Travis Keys hurt.
So one of the bears do they bring in D Shawn Kinzer for a tryout? For those of you that don't know D Shawn Kinzer is former starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, currently a free agent.
Why is he a free agent asked, I'll tell you, because for his career in the NFL, he has thrown 10 TDs.
Funny, four interceptions.
That's 24 interceptions and somewhere around 52% on a completion rate.
Just absolutely horrible.
I don't know why we're bringing them in.
It accomplishes absolutely nothing.
I mean, if you want a placeholder, there's veterans out there.
And if you need to bring somebody in to possibly be a backup because I honestly don't think either fools or your biscuits gonna be playing for the Bears next year.
So why don't you bring in the young guy bringing somebody new? Um, this is bleeding over into my other podcast, but the Spring league just got done.
And Kevin Anderson and Brian Scott both have outstanding season spring well, them and see what happens.
Not ****ing Kinzer.
Come on, Yeah, let's Let's see, here we have the worst offense in the NFL, so let's try to make it worse.
That's a great idea.
Okay, that's all I had on that.
I just I wanted to touch on that, because it just it blows my mind.
Why the hell are we trying out kids? Just absolutely ridiculous.
We had a great Hawkeye game last week.
Hawkeye Nation out there. Be proud.
We rode the boat on Minnesota.
Just absolutely insane.
I'm probably saying his name wrong, but so goes that that guy.
He lived in the Minnesota backfield all day.
Just all day back there.
A total of five tackles, three sacks was kind of the headliner on outstanding defensive performance.
Ah, Final scored 35 7.
It was just all out.
The only touchdown they gave up was in garbage time.
14 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Gotta love Kirk Ferentz using all three of his time outs with 14 seconds left on third and goal.
That was You love to see it? Just classic friends move.
Just rubbing salt in the wound.
Uh, had two picks, so Iowa has continued its streak.
We're now up to 11 straight games with an interception.
That's impressive, and I don't see it slacking off next week.
We'll get into that a little bit more later.
Uh, 235 rushing yards, 111.
Passing offense was okay.
Not great, but they were OK and they did enough to win the game.
So that's what we are looking for.
Just enoughto win.
The game is all we're looking for.
The offense. Uh, Petraeus.
Nine of 1811 yards, one TD, one pick again.
But for anybody that watched the show before, As I said from the beginning, the quarterback doesn't have to be great.
He just has to be good enough that we win.
And then the bad stuff kind of get swept under the rug.
Ain't nobody gonna care.
Yeah, nine of 18 is only 50%.
Who cares? We once throwing a pick bad decision, shouldn't have done that.
Who cares? We want.
Yeah, well, them slide.
The kid has potential.
I really think he does.
That's kind of frustrating.
Part about it is he'll just drop dimes on one play, and two plays later, he'll miss the receiver by 10 yards or make a throw in the contested coverage that never should have been thrown.
So hopefully just he keeps improving the mental game makes better decisions, and he said that himself in postgame stuff that needs to make better decisions.
So hopefully he keeps doing that and keeps getting better.
See that happening? Um, thankfully, our head coach and offensive coordinator.
I've figured out that the strength of this team is our offensive line and our running game.
Uh, Tyler goods in 20 carries, 142 yards and two TDs.
Sergeant relieving him? I don't know co.
It's not really running back by committee, but Goodson's not getting all the stats.
Snap sergeants getting some two.
He had nine carries for 86 yards and a TD.
Both these guys average like six yards of carry, which is easy to do when nobody's touching you until your three yards past the line of scrimmage on every single play.
Because that old line was dominant, you could've drove a fleet of Mack trucks through the holes they were opening.
It was it was just a very, very impressive performance from the running game in the offensive line, and the defense was the normal defense.
Two picks Ben Don't break, gave up a couple drives and it on both with interceptions.
And, like I said, the only points they gave up with the garbage time TD.
So Alright, what more do you want on your defense? Uh, moved on to the next week.
We got Penn State on my preseason, Blah guy wrote.
Before I was like a riel had, like, a real place to publish my articles and whatnot.
Penn State is one of the dangerous games for Iowa.
That is still true.
I'll be it for different reasons.
This is a trap game.
Iowa is riding high, Uh, 22 wins, two dominant winds.
After starting the season off, the offense looks like it's finally getting it figured out.
Defense has maintained being dominant pretty much the whole year, and Penn State is owned four.
We cannot sleep on this game.
It's Penn State is way better than the record indicates, and good old coach Kirk said that, too.
So, hopefully has the attitude turned up coming into this game because it could be bad folks.
This is definitely a trap that owned four.
Ah, books like Iowa should dominate, but Penn State's a lot better than they are on papers.
So gotta watch out for him.
One of the biggest things Penn State is averaging, averaging over 400 yards again on offense they are producing.
Um, yeah, that's a scary offense.
And I think they put up over 500 against Nebraska and they've only had and they had one game at, like 3 25 verse Maryland, which I feel was an off game.
They just let down game after Ohio State, and they just they didn't show up there.
Uh, yeah, they they're definitely scary.
So you don't wanna look past them places that we can exploit them.
They have, ah, riel problem with turning the ball over and scoring points.
The yardage production on offense has not marched.
Matched the points e.
I said that backwards.
The point production has not matched the offensive production as faras yards go because they just they're having a real problem finishing drives and they're having a problem turning the ball over, uh, six picks on the year so far.
So I looked for Iowa.
A 12 game in a row with an interception.
Yeah, they just They can't finish Nebraska.
That was their game to win last week.
If you didn't see it, uh, they had the opportunity to go ahead with, like, three minutes left and they had first and goal, and they went four and out.
Brassica got the ball back, proceeded to go three and out, and Penn State got the ball back.
And then they had first to go again and went four and out again.
So they had to opportunities in the last 3, 3.
5 minutes toe win the game and they couldn't do it.
They just cannot finish out drives, so we should definitely take advantage that I was Ben, don't break offense.
What's the real thing? We also have a little bit of confusion on who is starting.
Clifford got benched part way through the Nebraska game.
I would look for him to start because he did just find, other than not being able to score, which Clippard wasn't either.
So not a real drop off there, so I definitely expect him to start, but either which way? They have explosive potential on offense, but they're going up against one of the most dominant.
Defense is in the Big 10.
So we got Campbell back again.
He looked good last week.
You know, will be probably looking a good again this week.
The defense is just better with his leadership on the field.
Uh, hope Balkan.
Berg has another breakout game.
He's not Espinosa, but he is doing his ****edest to be almost Espinosa.
You love to see it, so I just I don't really see their offense flourishing.
It'd be great if I we could keep him under 300 yards.
It's a definite possibility.
I don't know if they will, but they definitely could.
And yeah, yes, as long as Iowa comes into this game prepared to play a game, it doesn't look over him.
Think Iowa will win? Just They should definitely should win this game.
And I think Kirk coach Kirk is definitely aware that this is not a game that he can sleep on, so that being said, let's go, Hawks, let's get another win and let's run the table.
Uh, I was gonna wrap up talk.
I talk, but we're gonna stick.
We're gonna go one more step here.
Let's run the table.
Um, the Big 10 West is legitimately.
Uh, maybe I should say more mathematically in play.
At this point, we're gonna need some help.
We're gonna need Northwestern to lose on.
We're gonna have to beat Wisconsin.
And it Wisconsin's gonna end up like I ain't five and 16 and 05 and two or four into something in there because they're only gonna get six games in.
So Iowa has the opportunity to be six and two at the end of the year if they run the table.
Uh, those two losses at the beginning definitely hurt, but so goes it.
And it is what it is.
There's nothing we can do about it now if we run the table and get some help or in the mix for the West.
And I mean, even if we don't get the West, if we run the table at this point, that is not to sal***e this season after, ah, horrible start that had people calling for Kirk said because yeah, those first two weeks were horrible.
About the only game we have left that we that we should lose on paper of Wisconsin.
But Wisconsin's gonna be pushing hard for the Big West title and a chance toe play for the Big 10 championship.
Yeah, and they got come to Kinnick and clinic is where championship dreams come to die.
Ask Ohio State about it, so yeah, I I like our odds with Wisconsin coming into Kinnick to at least make a game of it, even if we don't quite pull off the wind.
So, yeah, maintain help. A kind nation.
We're gonna need some help, but it could be done.
Uh, this is the point on the podcast where we'll drop in and add read quick.
So I'm gonna pause.
So I got a spot to drop that in.
And now we're gonna move into onto gamboling Love me.
Some gambling, uh, don't have ah whole lot This week, I looked at the board.
I didn't really like it, especially on the NFL.
That's kind of when I went early.
Because all my picks so far for the NFL are on tonight's game.
I'm not sure what's going on.
I hadn't heard anything about games being canceled.
But there were four games with betting suspended on them, which usually only happens that the game is not gonna be played.
When I was looking at my NFL pecks on points about USA, so I'm not really sure what's going on their way have.
Maybe they're in question or what's happening, but so I might have some more picks later in the week are Yeah, Saturday and I also put my parlay.
And on Saturday, watch a Twitter Garrett from Iowa.
I will, Yeah, I'll have my, uh, partly goes out on Saturday afternoon, Evening sometime.
It's ah, massive, like 10 or 12 leg er and really hard to win.
But you can like bet 10 and win two grand on it, so just kind of fun.
So, for this week on gambling picks, we're gonna start out with the let's make some money parlays mhm.
And because I'm still fairly new for those of you that don't know any gambling pick I put out on this show I have money on, I don't I don't pick the whole board or anything like that.
I just I pick stuff that I want bet on, and I share those decisions with you guys.
Well, we're gonna start off with Let's make some money.
This is something I do just for the show.
It's four college games, all favorites.
Straight money line bets.
Odds are not good on any one of the game's just stringing together.
You could win some money.
So for this week I got Purdue Organ, Iowa and Iowa State all four on money line bets that will give you plus 3 57 for your odds.
So most of those games are like negative 400 negative 200 something.
Things like that. Not really good.
Nods don't get a whole lot of return for your money.
Put the four of them together you get up to, ah, plus 3 57.
So basically, bet 10 win 35.
So if you wanna get balls a better 100 when 3 50 really balls that you could bet 1000 and 1500.
Which way on that? And then just a couple of game picks were feeling a little frisky this week.
Definitely feeling frisky.
So we're going to go, uh, Northwestern to beat Wisconsin at plus 2.
25 Wisconsin hasn't really done anything this year.
Um, I know they have talent, E.
They definitely could be good.
But in between the coronavirus hit and everything else going on, I think this is a game Northwestern can win.
They look good despite the fact that Iowa should have beat him.
That's a different show.
It's on there if you want to listen to it, but yeah, so I like that.
It's a little bit of a stretch out there.
But then the other one Rutgers verse Michigan.
Ah, long time listeners.
You understand that this sentence gives me great pleasure to say I'm a drop it again.
Michigan is not good at football.
Yeah, really, really excited to say that. Yeah.
I heard somebody say that they wanted to see Jim Harbaugh go to Chicago to coach.
Like why you can't win in Michigan.
What makes you think you can win in Chicago? Horrible.
Yes, I'm talking to you, Tommy.
If you happen to watch this, I am talking to you.
But yeah, I don't blew my mind when I heard that guy's sucks.
**** in Michigan.
Why had bring him to Chicago to suck **** there and paying more money.
Terrible idea, but Rutgers verse Michigan.
Rutgers is the home team there.
Plus 2 90 which I don't understand.
Rutgers isn't great, but Michigan is bad this year and they're playing at Rutgers.
Definitely see Rutgers coming away with it.
It's a little bit more of a long shot bet.
Obviously, that's why the odds are up to 2 90.
Threw some money at it.
Like I said, all I have are bets for tonight's game because yeah, there were four games, including, like Kansas City, Oakland.
Betting was suspended on Denver.
Game betting was suspended on.
I can't remember the other two, but like basically any game that I would have possibly got in on depending where the odds were at, the betting was currently suspended, so I'm not sure what's going on there.
I don't know if we got coronavirus **** going on or possibility of canceled games again or what.
So and I'm not saying that's what's happening.
Just nobody freak out.
That's why I so I just I don't have a whole lot I might put out somewhere later This later on Twitter if betting opens up on those games again.
But first things first, uh, points.
Use a does boosted odd bets.
Where they up the odds on stuff.
I have Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray to combine for five TDs that is TDs in any way, shape or form, both Russian and passing count.
I don't see how this doesn't hit.
You get the boosted odds.
You get two plus 100.
Basically double your money.
So, uh, also got on the boosted odds, D. K.
Anytime TD at negative. 110.
Feel like that's, ah, pretty safe. One.
Metcalfe on to get a TV in this game a cup one of my And then I pushed the odds a little bit.
They have a band betting for receiving, and basically you're unfamiliar with band bets.
There's three bands for receiving its catches in that are between zero and 19 yards, 20 to 29 30 to 39 then 40 plus.
And you bet what the yardage is going to be on a receivers longest catch of the night so this one's a little bit risky. Hopkins.
I got Hopkins toe.
Have a catch over 40 at plus 2 20.
You can more than double up there, so and I think you could do it.
Seattle's defense is not great, and that guy's passing up.
All he has to do is break the tackle, break one tackle law before the yard catch.
So definitely, definitely more interesting.
One kind of a long shot with unwrapped sports network shot out out to them.
We have a gambling chat.
So picking up some tips from there, definitely.
I got me more into the player props.
I did not that that was mine.
A couple couple guys in the chat thought it might be a little sketchy, but I'm like I said at the beginning.
I'm feeling a little frisky with my gambling this week.
So pushing some, pushing some stuff a little bit and then the last topic I have for you all is I want the Arizona money line.
Arizona beat him once.
Granted, it took him into overtime.
But Seattle has not gotten any better and I feel like I was on a has, so I like I like Arizona to win this game.
I stayed away from the over.
I'm not really sure where this game is gonna end up, but e don't know.
Over was set up 57 a half the over under, and I think it definitely has potential to go over.
But I didn't like it enough to throw money on it.
And, uh, talking into my microphone here, I've almost talked myself back into it because, I mean, both these teams should put up 30 points because Russell Wilson is a beast in Seattle.
Doesn't have a defense.
Any comments on that? How are we feeling about the over out there? I have **** near talked myself into it right now.
Apparently nobody else watching Has any gambling, No opinions.
Mhm, but yeah, I'm gonna put the over on there too.
They get done here because that was not one I had money on before.
But I like the over.
We're gonna go through the over on Arizona Moneyline plus 1 30 then the over at whatever it is.
I don't know because I just talked myself into making that bet right now.
Over there usually like negative 1 10 or so, so that 10 +19 is how it works.
So that's that's all I got for this week.
So rapper up there, let's make up some money.
Recap the pics real quick without the commentary that make some money.
Parlay is money line bets on Purdue Organ Iowa and I s U For plus 3 57.
I got Northwestern Over Moneyline, Wisconsin, for plus 2 25 Rutgers Moneyline Verse Michigan at plus 2 90 and then NFL for tonight.
Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray five plus TDs combined at plus 100 d K. Metcalf.
TD at negative 1 10 Hopkins toe.
Have one catch over 40 plus yard.
That plus 2 20 Arizona Moneyline at plus 1 30.
And I'm also gonna Betty over.
Like so that's all we got.
Thank you guys for tuning in.
And if I don't see you next week Happy Turkey Day.
Thanks for watching
