talking to the sports talk with Caroline.
My show for Thursday, November 19 We're gonna be going over states preview also, once again, we'll recap the draft.
So if you want to recap the draft today, we will do that here on a sports talk.
So once again, we are live.
So we'll preview the Saints and, um, Falcons this Sunday, 12 noon game will be on SportsCastr.
We will have that game foyer eso We'll have that for you this Sunday.
So let's go ahead and senator, lengths out toe all the networks so they should be ableto get the lengths.
You want a video chat with us? You can.
That would be great idea.
So let's go ahead and send this out to everyone.
We'll start sending out these lengths now.
We'll go ahead. Do that. Lawyer.
So we all live on sports cats.
We all live on Twitter and we all live on Facebook.
So I'm going and and send every body their lengths.
So the lengths will be sent then.
Well, sending your lengths.
Yeah, it has a length of sat.
All the length has sent over so once again will preview the saints and the Falcons.
So let's go ahead and do that conference call with Sean Payton.
That is, um, Thursday morning conference call with the media, so we'll be going ahead and we'll go with that.
Let's do that right now.
She had a screen.
I will send it over to the conference call.
Sean, can you share any updates on your plan quarterback position this week? No updates.
Mike, I'm eating my bagel.
I was hoping to be chewing it when you asked that question.
Purposeful for a long, suspenseful delay or just chewing the bagel.
Um, can, you know, update on Drew's Andrea status? Either specific? No.
For your specific.
What kind of a bagel or this? Like sesame seed? It's a poppy seed steam bagel which are hard to find, actually, Cream cheese.
Hey, you heard about Eric Armstead on the debt? Thank you.
That hasn't, anyway, I did hear about him.
Did that affect us and put us back into the sure enhanced protocol? Okay, Sean, when you do get out of the protocol for the first time, I did that happen quickly.
Well, I think we went a week and then we played someone else.
What game? Did someone else have it? Um, opponent.
I cannot even tell you at this point, I think you're just gonna be in double secret probation.
Yeah, way were on it then.
We were off of it for a week, and then we're back on it.
Sean, under Rahim.
Are you seeing the Falcons do things differently or are they just doing what they did better? Yes.
Um, I think they've taken a little different approach defensively and tried to reduce some of the, uh, some of the things that he wanted to remove, and and then they're playing fast.
They give you a fits in a lot of ways.
They're tough to run the ball against.
Um, I think they're playing with a lot of confidence right now.
Three and one could easily be four. No.
And showing up, you're going to get the guy that can bowl Russia's well, like a sounding board.
How does that impact your protections are how you approach and try to avoid that power that you could just leave well, looking at it, going to impact how you set relative to your past sets.
Uh, you know, I think sometimes you're sliding the protection that way. That can change.
Kind of how you How you wanna handle that? Um, ultimately, the two traits tackles you know have to have in our league is at some point can they anchor? And at some point, can they handle the speed? Um, and so they get used to that.
And then, you know, the ends air trying to change up the looks, you know, to create one of the other Sean with Matt Ryan and Julio, Are you seeing any concessions toe age from either of those guys? Are they still pretty much at the level they've been? They're playing at a high level.
I mean, both of those two guys then you had in Ridley Cage and running back.
I mean, offensively, they're operating is efficiently and as effectively as we've seen in quite a while.
Yeah, so when Jameis Winston is in a quarterback, you guys, it kind of reminds me of the questions we were asking about Cruz Areas and Tom Brady.
If when James place for you, do you want him to run the office? a certain way like you guys always have, You know, high efficiency decisions, less turnover risk.
Or he could we want all of them way went all of that.
So when I answer this question and then the responses if j mrs starting on Sunday, this is so yeah, we want efficient play from that position.
Well, you know, I mean, I think you know why I'm asking because he throws the ball downfield more, take more rich.
And maybe we've seen from grew Breeze, Teddy Bridgewater.
And I think the one thing will always do here is highlight the strengths of whoever is playing any position, not just quarterback.
What kind of a role do you see? The justices on camera and Jones, Um is obviously a kind of fascination with that matchup.
But is that an over simple simplification or No, I think it's a fair question because it comes up particularly on third down in the man coverage schemes.
You know, there's a handful of linebackers that will draw that matchup, and he's one of them and they listen.
They just watching the games last year.
I mean, 567 different times, you know, there's that one on one in man coverage route for specific play you're running.
And, uh, I think that that's that's a credit to both players, obviously, you know, he can move and his athletic and, um and so it is.
Especially on third down.
Yeah, if I could maybe circle back.
And I'm not gonna ask a direct question, obviously.
But that's in March, you said that Jason had earned the right to be the backup.
Maybe just how far you've seen him come in your program.
And you know what led to those comments in march? Yeah.
Listen, both of these young guys have progressed and and, uh, have advanced understanding what we're doing.
Um, and there's a confidence level we have with both players.
They're different type players, but, uh, yeah, I think that it's a strong room, and we're gonna lean heavily on Ah, a few of these other guys right now.
Okay, once again, the showing paint press conference call.
Um, once again, I'll be honest with you. Look, hole.
If it's gonna be, uh, Winston or Taysom Hill.
I hope it's gonna be a We have a game plan for him.
Because what? Atlanta is not gonna feel any sorry for your injuries.
That's one thing we gotta get straight here.
So that's just something that has to be considered.
Look, Atlanta, look, Atlanta is struggling.
Atlanta is a struggling team right now.
They they wounded animal.
That's just something.
Look, we all have to understand about them.
Look, it could be upset at any time, any time, and I mean, any time it just don't mean one time.
So we'll have the Raheem Morris press conference.
I'm gonna go ahead and play that for you in its entirety.
We didn't do the show.
We had a drum N b a draft show yesterday.
So let's go ahead and do the Raheem Morris press conference talking about Atlanta and getting ready for the Saints this Sunday.
So let's put that up on the screen.
Uh, just, uh, news that breeze has broken ribs.
So what we all do to try to get ready for Jamis Winston at the controls? You know, there's no real guarantee delayed that jamon jamon one's gonna have full control.
You know, they got a couple really good quarterbacks on their roster.
You know, obviously tasting and obviously, James, you know, two guys that's been productive in their system and some and Jamison.
And obviously the Tampa system came from, So they're pretty fortunate with the quarterback situation.
And then, obviously, you know Sean Payton and P.
Carmichael, um, who they are and what they are and how they go about their business.
And they were playing diligently enough to get those guys ready to play against us.
And we gotta prepare for both.
There's no doubt about that.
And defensively, uh, you know, the matchup with tomorrow is always interesting.
And Dion, and whoever you know, assortment of things you all try to do, it looks like they're running the offense through him these days.
You know, Debo was always called upon big in these games.
You know, Deon Jones.
The lead steps up big for us.
Taking on the big assignment covering tomorrow is always gonna be a big challenge For him was always gonna be a big challenge for Kamara.
They're from the same spot, both from New Orleans kids and, you know, kind of grow together.
Probably doing this for a long time.
So it's always a five star matchup, you know, Get your popcorn ready.
Watch those guys go together and go play against each other.
Story way Asked about Marlon Davidson every single week, but I know last.
The last time we talked to you, you mentioned that you got a plan together with him for the bye week in order to get him to come back, ready to go this week.
What were some of those things that were part of that plan is how do you feel? Like just get along.
You know, Tory, I didn't want to get him too far out of his rhythm of preparation of planet game.
So as we came in for our test, you know, he was able to come in, get a couple of individual movements, get a couple of individual drills.
Nothing long, nothing hard.
But we did want to get him out there to move on the field, to get all this movement right to get his his steps in his footwork and his get off in his the things he's gonna need in order to be effective player for us moving forward.
So I really look forward to his practice week this week.
Again, I really look forward to him potentially being a factor in the next couple of weeks about season.
And, you know, over the by, we could take a look at grades in different, different ways.
That guy's air grading on, you know, prior to the violent, Chris Lindstrom was one of the top graded guards in the league.
What has his emergence this year and really just getting him out there after missing so much of last year meant to this offensive line? You know, it's really been a big focus point, but not just Chris.
But I hold officer line on our physical brand style of play and last week really challenge those guys and moving forward to challenge those guys in the same way.
To be able to play physical, to be, to come off the ball, to move, people, get people off the spot in order to increase our run game.
I've really been fired.
How they've been protecting Matt and just his presence alone, his energy, his demeanor, how serious is He's the type of kid you want to go out and get every single position with the style of the mentality of place he has.
So he's certainly got is big in our plans and begin our plans moving forward, Charles.
Okay, We'll go on to Jason, coach, you know, over this bye week.
You know, when it came to the offense, You know, What did you guys look at when it comes to the necessary improvements you'd like to see over the final seven weeks? You know, a very good question is, uh is always, uh, stories.
First question, and, uh, yeah.
Okay. Keep going. Jason. Sorry.
I'll continue with your question, Jason and kind of answer that, but it's always fun.
You get those violets to go back and really be all about us.
Kind of my mentality.
Just when you get those chances to step away and look at yourself, because that's really the most important thing.
We talk about our game.
So when you talk about our offense, we got a chance to go back and look at when we get these leads.
How do we maintain these leads and what we want to do? So, you know, you may see a couple different things when we're coming out that way and how we want to attack people in those situations because they're gonna come up when your offices talent is the one that we have.
Julio and Matt Ryan and Todd Gurley and Hayden Hurst and Calvin Ridley and all the guys planning a high level like they are.
Sometimes you gonna get leads in this league.
Sometimes you gotta figure out how to keep those leads.
I'm by not getting so confined into a box that you kinda limit yourself.
So we like to come out a little bit more aggressive, like to come out and personnel grouping that fits us best and do some of the things that we do better.
So that was one of the evaluations that came from a an offensive standpoint and then you're talking about I don't know if you asked about defense because I kind of got cut off.
But when you're talking about the defense of standpoint, you just want to talk about how do you get better owning those moments in a two minute catch up type of all those are the moments that hurt us the most in the beginning and half of the season.
So those are the moments we want to improve on and get better at and getting after the passer getting after the passer.
So if we could get those things corrected in those two faces, those of something that we really be jacked up about and to get our return game going on special teams, you know, like we got a pretty good return and we think in Brandon Power if we get the ball to him and some space and get up from space with some blocks.
But they couldn't get a couple of returns on the possible yardage and flip the feel of it, and then, um, it's Monday, But what do you think? Staying with Calvin and just you have a good feeling about his availability this week.
You know, you always got a good feel about Calvin, especially after you talk to Calvin getting Calvin out today.
Run around just a little bit, moving around the trainer by himself, off to the side.
We should have a better feel for him on Wednesday.
Get them in here getting into individual drills, get them into a little bit of teamwork and see how it goes and talking them through it and just seeing what is that little by little.
Step by step, um, in order to get into Sunday so we could get going.
Um, if not, we'll go to Kelsey for the first time.
I think all season, all the cornerbacks air healthy.
How much confidence do you have in that group? Knowing some of the wide receivers you're gonna go up against the next couple weeks, you know, really exciting when you talk about getting people healthy and we're at a stage halfway through the season where you got a bunch of people healthy.
And it's a credit to our athletic training staff and what they've been able to do to get these guys back onto the playing field, particularly in Denard.
You know, dinner when I was a pretty significant injury, and for him to be able to fight back and come back and clawed back ready for his team is huge for us.
So to get all those guys out there like we talked about that noticeable rotation that we had going on from the last game.
Andi, continue to do that.
Then you get that from them on the defense, you get more helpful, especially teams, and you get more aggressive places across the board.
You know, we got some really good players in our organization, especially at the corner position that we feel like that could get us better throughout the stretch and going down this final image crushed. Finish out the season.
Yeah, Charles there, there he gets for sticking with me. We're having some networks.
Charles. Got some serious? Yeah, Charles.
Call me later, man.
Okay, well, go on. Okay.
Oh, you can hear you now. Yeah.
Talk about your options.
That and obviously you have to make plans without the Dante this week.
And you talked about Marlon already.
Are there some other names that you're looking at this week? You know, we played last game without Dante.
You know, unfortunately, obviously due to injury, the hamstring injury and he had last week and to get him healthy and then obviously being added to the covert list for us this week, we've already started some some some thoughts on how you get the password generated without one of your better players on how you do those things.
So you get a chance to see a little bit of guy that we promoted within you know Edmond Robinson being flexed up a little bit.
He could give us a little bit of edge presence.
We already have guys like Charles Harris and other guys like to see you've seen guys like means being the edge four.
So those guys, we have to step up in a major way force.
And you could never talk about the D line without talking about Grady Jarrett inside the presence and the things that he does open up things for other people, you know, noticeably.
Obviously, you've seen some of the blitzes that come from my linebackers.
Some of the effect that Deon Jones and both I will come for you has been able to provide for us.
So look forward to seeing more of those things, Charles.
Particularly without Dante.
Um, you know, there's no secret about that.
Um, there's all over tapes, so those are the things that we wanna give moving forward.
And we always gotta have ah, premium on getting to the quarterback.
So there's definitely gonna be something gotta worry about.
Think about constantly and and how How exciting and intriguing is that option of utilizing that that spirit linebacker to get pressure on Thank you.
How exciting is the option to utilize that speed at linebacker to pressure the quarterback? You know, our two linebackers been playing at a high level in really three when you talk about Michael Walker, Um, all three of those guys in planning a high level Michael place, you know, sparingly, a little bit because of Dion and for you and how well they're playing.
We got in our nickel package.
We have our base package with all three of the game they've been playing.
Well, eso to get those guys, you know, rushing the passer and do some different things.
Getting one on ones on backs.
Those are exciting.
And those are things that they've actually going out one some of their individual battles.
And those are the things that we talked about just in our general philosophy, unfortunately willing. Your opponent.
And right now we have to find a way to get a pass rush in.
Those three guys have stepped up.
They provide that for us a little bit.
And now you have the Edmund Roberts stood.
Who again? I can't say enough about how privilege Ah, much of a privilege to be on the team and what he's done to earn the right to be on the team, particularly with his work on special teams and having a chance to move into defense a little bit.
Having rushed Castle, of course, Cody coach, I would think not having to face Drew Brees would always be the better option.
But is it almost tougher with the not knowing whether it's gonna be Hill a quarterback or Jamous or what kind of combination? At least with Breeze, you know what you're going to get? I think you just got to trust your preparation, and your preparation is always gonna be consistent.
When you're talking about Sean Payton, you're going against the very well coach Sean Payton offense with P Carmichael like we mentioned before.
And those two guys have done a great job of putting together game plans for whoever they're gonna play.
We've seen them do it last year with Teddy Bridgewater, and now they'll be challenged with same thing again this year, and we know they're gonna come ready to play.
Everybody probably felt the same way when they went five and no, with Teddy, but you're not gonna let me, but they're not going to sneak up on anybody.
So where we ready? We'll prepare well prepared diligently for those guys and you already go attack.
Same kind of question we've got.
We've come to know Jamis Winston so much.
Well, he looked different because it's Sean Payton's.
Often, you know, he's had a significant amount of time to be with those guys, you know, talking like 10 weeks with those guys and sitting behind.
Drew is arguably one of the best quarterbacks to play our game on being in that same quarterback room with all those guys and tasting Hill himself and Drew Brees.
So he's got to be better.
You know, you can't help but get better when you're around those type of people in the right type of thing.
You know? No, knock on what he's done before his career because he's got some successful games.
Voters from Tampa before.
So you know those guys can play football, and you know that.
So we gotta come ready to play.
Zach, you mentioned Coach.
The familiarity you have with Sean in their in their staff on offense, kind of following up.
What what Kobe Cody was talking about the offense stayed the same or because it tastes.
Um, and James could do different things than Breeze.
Do you expect that offense to adapt To specialize with? Those guys do better.
Well, you know, the one thing was, Sean, he does a phenomenal job of giving people rolls on their offense.
We've seen, uh, we take it all the way back from the Reggie Bush now to Camara, from Drew Brees to Drew Brees and to Teddy Bridgewater and Thio from Marcus Colston toe Michael Thomas.
So we've seen those guys give people roles that they can succeed them.
And he's done a great job over the last.
Whatever amount of years he's been a head coach down in New Orleans feels like forever.
Um, and they just do a great job of putting those people in those roles, giving those guys things they can do, giving those guys jobs.
They already have success.
That, and we got to do a better job of preparing for it.
Okay, once again, the Atlanta Coach Raheem Morris talking about the preparing for the Saints this weekend, so I'll be honest with you.
Look, they're gonna be ready.
They're gonna be ready.
Willing, um, play this game this Sunday, so I think, but, uh, with this injury work, we have toe put that aside and try toe play this game.
So let's go ahead and give you the preview on the Saints and, um um, Atlanta Falcons.
So I'm gonna go ahead and send this over to the Sports Handicap site and we'll share that screen, Witcher, and we will give you all the specific information coming into this game.
So I'm gonna go ahead and let's begin doing that.
Okay, Let's break down the Atlanta Falcons.
Um, okay, let's break down the Atlanta Falcons.
Um, are they averaged 27 points a game? So they scored 27 points a game as a team 15 at halftime.
The first down breakdown, sir.
At 24 1st downs.
That's a pretty good assessment right there.
Now the time of possession going into this game once again is 31 83 so they have a pretty good time of possession going into games.
Um, they run for 168 yards.
That's an average of 3.
7 yards per game.
So that's a pretty good clip, right? there when he come, when it comes down to it now, they'll pass the football.
They're completely percentages at 67%.
What they're passing is close to 290 yards, but they'll average 393 yards again.
That's what we're talking about right there.
They're averaging 5.
8 yards for a play.
Um, one those, um, averages.
So that's a pretty good average going into this game versus, um, the Saints this coming Sunday.
Aziz, we look at it, we're breaking down.
Okay? Their home.
Let's give you their, um, road offense.
Let's give you that road.
Okay. Road offensive breakdowns.
That averaging 30 points a game.
So that's 30 points on the road.
And also their scoring 17 at halftime.
So they're pretty good at halftime, scoring 17 points at halftime.
Their first down official sees at 24.5.
So there are 24.
5 when it comes down to it.
Uh, there time of possession is 35 minutes, so they will have the ball more times.
Then, um, the defense combined.
So I think the offense so long they got Calvin Ridley.
They got Todd Gurley and company with the same, um, Atlanta team.
So I look at it this way.
This is going to be the breakdowns.
Uh, they will run the ball 33 times on the road.
That Z 105 yards.
That's an average of 3.
2 yards for Rush.
So that's a pretty good breakdown right there.
Okay, but they will put up 392 yards.
Um, a game that's 392 yards at 5.
6 yards for flight.
So I look at it this way.
This is how we look at him now in, um, all games.
Let's give you all games right here.
Atlanta's once again, Um, averaging 27.
9 points a game.
9 27 points there on all on the statue. Right here.
But, um, all games the the averaging 27 point now.
But they score 11 at halftime.
Now they'll run the ball for 99 yards.
That's on 23 carries, the average of 4.
3 yards for a pop.
Now they're passing.
They'll throw for 310 yards.
That's 410 total yards off off effects for the Atlanta Falcons.
When you look at the stacks, when you go down to the when you go, go to a step breakdown.
Now the New Orleans Saints.
Let's break down the Saints, this time Santo, averaging 30 points a game, also in all games, averaging 23.7.
So these are the games have been, um, putting up points.
So that's 30 points a game.
They're averaging 18 points at halftime, the first ounces at 23 a half.
Their time of possession is kind of, um, edges out Atlanta's time of possession.
Um, there are 30 to 47 when it comes down to the time of possession by the Saints.
So run the ball 29 times for about 120 yards.
1 yards for average uh, pop.
Now the sanction will throw 25 34 passes that that's only for 252 yards right there.
So that's 2 52 but they'll put up 373 when it comes down to the situation.
That's average of 5.
8 yards for a plight.
Now on the home side.
Saito averaging 29 points a game.
UM, they averaged 16.
Also, Um, first downs the averaging 21 1st downs again.
Now the next breakdown will go to is the time of possession.
Um, see it, um, home games.
There are 31 Atlanta on road games are at 35.
So Atlanta kinda just absolutely just, um, edges out of ST when it comes down.
Comes down the time of possession, Uh, between home and road games.
Now they'll run the ball 27 times for about 110 yards.
That's just the 4.
0 yards for average that's in games now.
Passing the football, they'll go 25 or 35 to 35.
Um, and they'll, um, total yards of offense.
They'll put up 345 total yards.
That's the average of 5.
5 when it comes down to it s o.
I look at it this way.
Those up those some stats right there that those edge out stats, I think, um, in time of possession, I think the Atlanta Falcons have the edge on the road than the Saints at home.
That's just some my, um saying right here.
Um, because, like I said, they had the ball for 35 minutes.
That's 35 19 now.
The States had the ball for 31 minutes, so that's just the about a a 3.
5 point edge right there when it comes down to it now running the like, I said, running the football, the Saints.
What gets them out by maybe a few, um, yards.
The 1051 10 to 105 Same thing with the passing that would go to 2 35.
Atlanta would also out edge.
Um bye bye, Few.
So that's straight. 10 on their passing.
So that's on the road now.
The Saints at home. It's at 2 35.
So I look at it this way.
Look, no matter who who plays this game this weekend, it's gonna probably maybe maybe a bomb burning game, if you ask me.
So I think come to look at it.
Look, if the Saints could come out in the first quarter don't look sloppy.
Um, um, preserve their third down possessions and stuff like that, and just don't, um, do those things.
But if you come out in the first half ****ing crappy and garbage looking, not throwing the ball, not running the ball efficiently and then getting penalties and stuff like that, you're just not gonna win the game.
That's plain and simple.
I mean, I'm not trying to tell it to you.
Just, um yeah, um, just the bull****.
You I'm telling you this because we're looking at these numbers, and that is absolute facts when it comes down to the situation coming into this game.
I know a lot of people wants to win this game.
I wanted to win this game so bad, I wanna blow this team out of the water.
I wanna absolutely blow the Atlanta Falcons out off the water, so But we have to don't, um, screwed things up.
Now, let's go over to, um, some point spread information.
Let's go over some point, spread information will break down, Um, the saints of favorite by five.
So we're gonna go over the breakdowns on them, Okay.
Once again as a favorite 3 to 5 point favorite Saints right now, in a straight up, it's five and one, but in the 80 s, they are two and four.
But here's the thing with Atlanta Falcons in the last three seasons.
In the straight up category, the Atlanta Falcons is two and four against on the straight, straight up and against the spread.
They're two and four.
So that's kind of the, um, tip of the norm right there.
Now, when it comes when it comes down Thio greater than 49 points.
The Saints are, um, straight up nine and five, but they're four and 10 against the spread.
This is the biggest downfall for the saints right here, when it comes down to and then the Atlanta Falcons.
Um, when? When they score about 49 points, their records four and eight straight up and foreign aid against the spread.
So that's what we're breaking down for you now.
Okay, this is on six days of rest.
Um, the saints, um, 24 6 straight up and 20 and 10 against the spread.
So they're 20 a 10.
So their rockets pretty good when it comes down to this now on two weeks of rest when it comes down with the Atlanta Falcons, their 10 straight up and ATF's their 10 as well.
Now in dawn games, let's go over to the dome games.
Um, Atlanta, suing four this season, straight up and two and four, gets the spread so they're not that good when it comes to a dome games.
That that's just the epitome of it right there now in Don't gains in the last three seasons, Atlanta's records just once again just doesn't add up.
Um, straight up there, 10 and 17, but they're also nine and 17 against the spread.
So that's what we're breaking down right here when you look at these, um, situations for the Saints and Falcons now in the November game.
So let's go over to the November games on the same side, saying 10 and two straight up and 84 gets the spread.
So that's a pretty good number compared to the Atlanta numbers right here in dome games.
Now in, um um, after two or more consecutive wins, the Atlanta Falcons are four and five, so we'll give you those numbers that's in four and two against straight up and three and three against the spread, so their numbers is kinda eso.
They have a pretty good record when it comes to the straight up, but their even on the now for the Saints say to 1995 straight up and 16 and eight against the spread.
So they're 16 and eight now into the Bever Games.
Let's go over to the November Games, Um, thanks, sir, tended Thio straight up at 84 against the spread.
Now, um um, let's go over to the Valley Games for the Atlanta Falcons.
Atlanta Falcons are four and five straight up and four and five against the spread.
Now, Um, when playing teams with a losing record, the Saints are 13 and four straight up and also 11 4 against the spread.
So that's the now Let's go over to this side.
Let's go over teams with a winning record.
Now the Saints level when a record Saints Atlanta.
Atlanta's four and six straight up and four and five against the spread.
So that's the breakdowns were going over when it comes down to those, um, now, um, when playing against a team with a losing rocket in the second half of the season.
So going to the second half of the season, let's break that down for you.
Um, straight up the Atlanta Falcons states of 92.
Excuse me ST of 92 and saying to 83 against the spread.
Now, um, let's go to, uh, the week 10 through 13 will go through the Atlanta one.
Then we'll go to the ST one.
Atlanta is to in *** in the straight up and to a checks against the spread.
Now, the states a totally different story.
Saints, Um, from week 10 through 13 or seven.
And two straight up and six and three against the spread.
So that's just some some of the A key, um, performance information for the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons.
So that's just how we see the matchup progressing.
And this game this Sunday, you know? So I'm gonna go over some information.
I'm going to go over some some situational information.
Gonna go to the Atlanta Falcons one.
I'm gonna break down the Atlanta Falcons, um, situation report.
I'm gonna break their information down fire. Okay.
We'll give you the Atlanta Falcons information Let's go ahead and do that, and it will give you the Saints.
Okay, once again, Um, let's go through all the information.
Against the NFC South there one and one.
So they're one and one in the straight up and one and one against the spread.
Now in all games.
Atlanta straight up three and six.
But 80 s there. Four or five.
And, um, road game.
So let's go to the road game right down.
OK, The road game.
Atlanta is two and two straight up and three and one.
So their rockets pretty good against the spread when it comes down to the road games now in the Dome Stadium that we broke that down for you.
Um, I as a favorite Atlantis one and four straight up and one and four so that rock is not that good.
Now it's an underdog.
Let's break this down for you.
Um, and the underdog category, Um, straight up.
Atlanta's two and two.
But they're also three and one against the spread.
Now, as a road underdog, there gonna be a road underdog this coming Sunday when I applied, so we'll break that down for you.
So we'll go ahead and break that game down for you. Give me a second.
I'm gonna break those informations down fire.
They're they're going to be playing in the dome Thio Sunday.
So eso that's the breakdowns we're giving you, um, in this game.
So So that's how we break them down going into the game.
So the once again the underdogs that they're three and one when it comes to that spread.
Now they're three and one as a road on the dog.
So they're gonna be a road on the dog coming into this game.
I'm gonna give you the ST something.
Go ahead and give you the Saints.
I break down and give the Saints, I'll give you the Saints breakdown.
We'll give you those.
We'll give you the saints, uh, break down.
So it's Give me those view.
The situation reports.
Let's go ahead and give you those situation reports as we go.
Okay? The situation reports for the saints.
Um, we're looking at him.
Okay, um, let's go to the young natural surface. Okay.
Natural surface breakdown straight up there.
80 s There one and one now against the NFC South, the NFC South, Um, and the straight up Saints or three and zero against the NFC South and two and one against the spread So and the over and under.
There are also two and one s.
Oh, that's a pretty good margin of 16.
So that's against the NFC South now against the as a favorite going into this game.
Sancho six and two, straight up but three and five against the spread.
So that's kind of just, um, that rock has not been good against the when.
It's when their favorite now as when they're on the dog.
They're 10 straight up and one and zero against the spread, but they're all in one in the over and under.
That's all in one, going into the game.
Now it's a home favorite this Sunday in the town.
Thanks, therefore, and one straight up.
That's an 80% percentage and 80 s there.
That's against the spread.
There are two and three, so that's how we will break those games down.
But they're also 41 when it comes down to it, but there at plus 4.
8% so That's a pretty good assessment when it comes down to the Saints and the Falcons, how they match up and stuff like that.
So we'll give you another inside on this game.
So I'm gonna switch over to the lines and I'll give you some or insight on it.
So we'll switch it over Thio some or insight.
So I'm gonna go over to the Saints. Falcons.
This is from the lines came out, came out November 17, so it came out a couple of days ago.
5 point favorites going into this game, so let's go ahead and give you some breakdown numbers.
Okay? Once again, Saints games have gone over 51.
5 points and five occasions.
Now the in five 55.
6 games this season, the Falcons have combined their opponents going over 51.5.
So that's the numbers right there.
We're looking at Also, two teams combined for 57 points for a game higher, um, in the total this match up by 5.6.
Also, two teams, um, allowed combined 51.
1 higher than matchup.
Also, the total average for the Saints game, um, is 53.
82 point three points higher.
Also, um, the average is 54.
9 for the Falcons is 3.
4 higher than the over and under.
Also, the Saints are the four um, highest scoring team in the league.
Also, the Atlanta the 3rd 13, most also the Saints or 13th and scoring defense.
The Atlanta Falcons are 25th coming into this game.
That's what we're talking about here.
Also, the insights into this game.
The Saints just four and five against the spread and also two and three against the spread when when playing at least four or five with 4 to 5 point favorites.
So that's kind of the norm right there for the Saints.
Um, also most sense games this year out of 79 hit over 77.8%.
That's a pretty good percentage number right there, and it comes down to it.
So if you have any questions about these, um, break down, you can post your comments for your SportsCastr.
Also, if you want to come in video chat with us.
You can do that through the stream yard length.
We'll let you come in to talk about it.
About the Saints and Balcones.
Okay, The Atlanta Insight is also there four or five against the spread and also 10 when playing for when playing with 45 point underdog.
And also they also hit their totals of 55.
6 the last two matchups.
Um uh, the it was a seven point favorite, but the money line was that was back in 2019, the result of Saints won 26 18, Atlanta 1 26 to 9.
That was one of the that was, uh, there was a 14 point favorite in that game, but it was 26 9.
When it comes down to it, the last two meetings for the Saints and the Falcons.
Um, okay, let's go to the breakdowns when the Saints have the ball.
The Falcons allowed 27.
Um, this season, uh, Saints or 30.
1? Um, when they need exceeding the scoring average Saint 23 and zero against, um, spread.
Atlanta is also three and two against the spread, Uh, in, um where fewer games to 27.
Saints averaging 373 yards a game.
That's 36.9 yards.
Fewer give the Atlanta Falcons.
Also, let's go through these numbers thes air, the bullet points we're gonna go through.
7 yards per play.
4 yards for a play in contest.
Um, when the Saints, um offensive totals at least average yards output there, too.
And five against the spread and also five and two overall.
So that five and two overall.
When it comes down to that, this is the number we're looking at right here.
When it comes down to that, um, States average 120 yards on the ground.
1 more than Atlanta Falcons.
They rushing attack.
7 on defense of side.
Now, when, um, sanction.
Russia's gained 120.
8 yards, therefore, um, one and two and three against the spread, so it's a pretty good, um, information when it comes down to it.
Also this season, the Atlanta Falcons defense allows opponents to pick up 99.
7 yards there, one and three against the spread in one and three and overall.
So that's probably going to be the conundrums when it comes down to those situations now, when the Saints turned over the ball, Um, this season, while the Falcons have 1.
1 takeaways for our contest.
So that's what they're talking about.
Also, when the Saints turn over the ball one time a few of the season that five and two overall and also two and five against the spread.
So it's a different, um, situation.
See the overall number right there? They're five and two.
What, when, When? When, When? It's completely different, when when it turns against the spread their two and five now the Atlanta Falcons air two and one against the spread.
But they're also wanted to overall what a tely East 1.
1 turnover in a game.
So that's what they're talking about when it comes down to the Saints and Falcons.
Now let's go over to the Atlanta with the Atlanta Falcons have the ball.
They scored 27 points.
3, um, more than the Saints, 23.
7 on defense, when Atlanta puts up 27 points, that three and zero against the spread.
So this is what we're talking about right here when they put up 27 points, Uh, that three and zero against the spread, but they're also two and one overall.
That's that's what we're talking about.
So when they go up to 27 points in the game, they're gonna be three and zero against the spread.
But there are also two and one.
Now The Saints are 30 against the spread and three and Sarah and overall games when allowing 30 points or less.
So that's probably just, um Atlanta Average is 88.
3 yards per game.
That's 396 yards.
Saints at 38 That's five.
The Atlanta Falcons gained 5.
6 yards for a play.
Saints Onley allowed five.
So that's pretty.
Uh, the assessment right there.
Also thanks a three and won again against, uh, spread and four and overall when allowing Poland's to 308 yards or last.
Also, Atlanta has at least 106.
8 yards a game there, um, two and two against the spread but they're also one and three.
So this is how this is one of their downfalls right here.
So when they their overall rocket goes toe one and three, but there are 80 s goes to, too, and two, that's kind of the norms right there for the Atlanta Falcons.
Now this season, the Saints of two and one against the spread and overall that three and zero when holding opponents to 76.
Um, and this year the Atlanta Falcons started with the ball 0.
5 fewer turnovers in the Saints.
That's kind of the norm.
Breakdown on now.
Also, their one on one against the Spread.
And, oh, and to when it comes down to the is it, um, turnovers.
Now this is how we break it down now.
This season, ST three and zero when forcing one point for at least 1.4 turnovers.
So that's how we break those games down.
So I look at it this way.
Look, Atlanta comes in and has fewer turnovers in this game.
Their rockets are pretty good, but if the Saints get, um, more turnovers, it just, um, increases.
So That's what we're discussing now.
Saints players toe watch. Albert Camara.
Alvin Kamara is always the one of them.
And then also Murray.
Hey, has some 378 yards on 19 carries.
He has 42 yards for now.
A man, you're saying this most likely, Hopefully will.
He will play in this game.
Henderson's another guy.
That's gonna be a A big impact.
And also DeMario Davis and also Patrick Robinson.
Now the breakdown.
Theo Atlanta Falcons.
He's completed percentages about 67.2%.
He has 15 scores, but he also has, UM, five interceptions this year.
So he has don't have that many interceptions.
Tig early? Um, it's one of their running backs.
He's averaging, UM, 64.
9 yards per game.
That's 584 rushing yards.
Also, Brian Hills.
Another guy you have to be very aware of.
This is another, um, rankle In the Atlanta Falcons run game.
He has, um, um, 56 carries.
He also has, um, 243 yards.
That's 27 yards for a game.
So that's pretty good numbers now.
It's another guy That's going to be a a big factor for the Atlanta Falcons.
He has 43 catches.
I'm gonna tell you, this guy is going to be a big impact.
We have to control these guys now.
It's another guy that's gonna be coming in into the mix for the Atlanta Falcons.
He has 54 catches for 411 yards.
He has three scores.
He's averaging 45 yards for cats.
So Ah, look, just because the Atlanta Falcons of 36 doesn't mean they fell on the fell off the the our wagons.
Look, that could be extremely dangerous team if you look at him because what if you're looking at this team really consistently, um, they can they can they can.
This posed a threat to your team.
I mean, sure, Atlanta Look, they're gonna be coming to the dome.
They're gonna be coming to the Superdome.
The Sunday But you got like I said, they got Ridley.
They got Brian Hill.
Brian Hill could be a in factor, because I'll be honest with you.
Look, thes guys are going to give give you ah, game.
That's just how it's gonna happen.
S o I look at it this way.
It's just that if you if you can come out and not, um, be sloppy about it, just absolutely sustain your drives.
You have to sustain those drives.
If you wanna win this game, whether it's on me, take him hell or whether it's some, um, Jamie's Winston.
We have to sustain drives.
We have the keep those two quarterbacks clean and not get hit.
That's, um, that's going to depend on the offensive line, what the offensive line does in this game.
So we have to look at this game.
Look, I know a lot of people it's gonna say on social media.
So we got this game and all like No, not even close.
Look, Atlanta history.
And six, they're struggling, but you gotta You gotta take this game one game at a time.
Just cannot just sit there and just **** away your opportunities.
If you **** away your opportunities, you're gonna lose the game.
Is that so? My suggestion is Look, we can't take this team lightly.
Can I take just like we're gonna have Denver next week? That's another team most likely on the cup of losing.
But look, every week it's gonna be a new week.
Sure, we had a good week against the parting honors and stuff like that, but this game right here what? The Falcons.
It's gonna be a absolute bon burner off a football game.
So you have any comments about it? You can dio post your comments be a SportsCastr, Twitter and Facebook.
We are something.
Um, um comments.
Also, you want a video chat with us? You could video chat with us through the stream, your links on SportsCastr Twitter and Facebook.
So also, we'll recap the MBA draft, so we'll go ahead and recap what's what we're doing today? We're doing Saints preview and we're recap in the draft.
So let's go ahead and give you a recap.
What happened yesterday? Um, so if you want to talk about MBA draft coverage way our live here on.
So let's go ahead and go through round two some pics.
I'm gonna go through those picks as we go, so let's get this up on the screen, okay? I'm gonna go through the New Orleans pelicans first.
I'm going to go through all the pelicans on picks first and I want you toe.
Um, give your opinions.
Okay, Let's go through the New Orleans Pelicans picks first.
Okay, Once again, they picked Karen Lewis.
First round pick 13.
So Carrie Lewis will be picked coming to the pelicans.
So, in my opinion, carry Louis.
Look, I think he's gonna make a great um um point man for Zion Williamson.
I think he will.
I think he will be a great, uh, and sent it to the backfield backcourt for the New Orleans pelicans.
I think it's definitely going to be Ah, great incentive.
So his ability can hey, could make those shots.
So, um, I'll be honest with you.
I think it's a It was a great pick coming out of the draft yesterday, but his shooting this this is what we're gonna be looking at right here is 36% shooting.
He has to get that 36% up a little bit better.
Um, going into this because look, they're gonna be depending on a a good shooter.
And I think he could make those shots.
Kyrie! Louis, Now the next picks, we're gonna be going over.
Let's go over the next three picks is um, Elijah Hughes.
Let's give you Elijah Hughes's breakdown.
Um, he was traded to the Utah Jazz 30 uh, into the 39th pick.
So it looks like he is not gonna be coming to the Pelicans.
So that's just what we had to do.
We picked, um, Elijah Hughes, his career shooting his shot 34% in this from three.
So he was a good three point shooter on and in college with Syracuse.
So I'm pretty sure, uh, that the Utah Jazz or most likely, will, uh, get a good, um, shooter and Elijah Hughes That the next guy I'm going to go over is, um, Nick Richards.
Nick registers from Kentucky.
Um, I once again, they didn't have any blue bloods coming from any of those schools.
Which is Kentucky.
That always has those.
Um, so Nick Richards, hey, was traded to the Charlotte Hornets for the 42nd pick.
So looks like he is going to be, um, going to the Charlotte Hornets.
They'll have a good player.
And Nick Richards.
That's another guy, um, probably going toe not be, um, in New Orleans.
So that Z once again that za trade.
Now the next guy we picked for the pelicans with Sam Marrow hey is out of Utah State.
But the years going to the Milwaukee Bucks, that was the last 60 different last pick last night.
Eso looks like Utah will get him, so we'll go through the We'll go through.
All the pics was go through the the main pick, which was See, let's go to, um, let's go to Brooklyn.
Let's go over the Let's go over the Brooklyn one.
Brooklyn got Sadiq Bay out of Bob the Villanova.
Looks like this young man will be a good, um, impact for, um um yeah, Brooklyn Nets.
So he's pretty pretty sure he was picked.
Um, but he was traded.
There was the **** and did trade that pick.
So they did trade that pick yesterday s Oh, it looks like the pistons.
Um, we'll get some pics coming in now.
They selected J Scrubs and another guy looks like J.
Scrubs was traded to the Clippers yesterday, so that Z and he was the 55th pick in the second round of the NBA draft.
I will go through all we are picks.
I'm gonna go through the I'm gonna go through the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Minnesota Timberwolves, Minnesota Timberwolves got Anthony Edwards.
That was an excellent pick.
I knew he was going to get picked in the first round because of the, um um um but Jackson's by the young points back his shooting right now.
His shooting was that he's a 29% shooter from three.
So he's gonna have to approve his shooting.
Definitely improve his shooting going into that game with going into the, um, Minnesota Timberwolves.
So now Minnesota picked.
Um um uh I just a saucer was trying to pronounce his name.
This name is, um, for use Paderewski.
He's from Serbia.
It's another guy they picked.
And then they picked up Daniel a two room from Minnesota.
So that's one of their picks right there, Daniel to room.
So we'll go through all the pics.
Bye, Team, We'll do that.
Okay, We'll go Thio The Miami Heat once again picked our pressure.
A key word from the Memphis looks like he is going to be on going to the Miami Heat, so I think he's most likely gonna be a big impact for their program as well.
We'll go to the Atlanta Atlanta Hawks Atlanta Hawks.
They picked a cure.
Oka flower from USC.
Another guy they picked that was in the He was a second round 2nd 5th overall.
So it was fifth overall.
He's from USC also Ah, local flavor scholar.
Maze picked 46 overall by the Atlanta Hawks.
So, once again, um, Atlanta looks like they're gonna be building for the future going into the So once again, we are recapping the NBA draft.
Okay, we'll go to the Boston Celtics.
I'm gonna go go over to the Boston Celtics now.
We'll go through every team, Okay? Boston Celtics.
Uh, Aaron Naysmith got picked 13th overall.
So looks like Boston is looking for They did pick.
Um, Peyton Pritchard death.
Desmond, um, they from she's, uh, teach you and also yam, uh, mad.
Bad or from, um, Israel.
So once again, the Boston Celtics, I'll be honest with you.
Look, they could build there program around Haywood and at Naysmith and and so many others.
So I look at it this way.
They're gonna it's gonna be a building block for these teams going into the 24,021 season.
Now let's go to the show and Hornets.
Let's give you a recap on the show and Hornets.
They did pick Lemelle ball.
Hey, Did was he was picked in the second in the first round, so he was picked second by the third.
Yeah, third, he was picked third, so he picked third in the first round third.
So the model ball also, they picked Bernie Carry and also Grant, um, rile er from Charleston.
So once again, um, that is your picks for the Charlotte Hornets.
Let's go over to the Chicago Bulls and let's give you their breakdown.
Okay? Once again, Patrick Williams was selected by Florida State.
Um, so it looks like he is going to be a and also Marco Salmon ceviche from was picked also by the Bulls as well.
Now the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Let's go over to the Cleveland Cavaliers will go over to Cleveland.
They picked Isaac, a Rokko from Auburn, so looks like he is going to be Oh, that's gonna be a pretty good investment for the claiming cowboys, because they're gonna have to rebuild their team.
Okay, Once again the Dallas Mavericks picked on screen out of Arizona.
That's a good pick right there.
Be honest with you.
That was an excellent pick going into the draft because they all have dirt, the biscuit, and they'll have **** with talent for the Dallas Mavericks.
Also, Terryl Terry from Stafford was also picked.
Um, in the second round first pick that was 39th overall.
So it looks like Dallas will most likely will be rebuilding a swell going into their 2000 and nine other.
Now the Denver Nuggets on selected Zeke Nadzeya from Arizona.
Young 70 Guy looks like he's going to be a um, so he was came from Houston.
So Houston did trade that pick away in the draft.
Also, the Detroit Pistons on select Achillion.
Hes out of France met a guy, um, coming in.
Uh, that, uh so, um, probate areas.
Looks like it is, um when he turns over the ball and that's 25% of his possessions, he have to improve on his ball handling skills.
That's what they are talking about when it comes down.
Thio thes pics going into the That was the first round.
So he was picked.
Also, let's go over to the Golden State Warriors.
Golden State Warriors is absolutely just, um, locked in on some good players.
They have James Wiseman, um, coming from Memphis.
And also, they have, um, Nico Manson, Uh, Mannone's from Arizona And then, um, Justin, just up from Boise State.
So it looks like Golden State is probably going toe.
They utilizes some of this talent.
Now, Houston, let's go over the Houston.
Houston didn't have no draft pets.
So Houston, and have no draft picks.
So we'll go over to the, um, Indiana Pacers.
Uh um, case was Stanley.
It's another guy they picked from Duke.
That Z looks like, uh, Indiana.
Looks like they went 45 28 last year.
But they're gonna be reloaded for the future when it comes down to that.
So, um, and let's go over Thio.
Um, the L A Clippers.
L A Clippers selected Reggie Perry out of bomb Mississippi State.
Pretty good selection there.
And the Lakers selected jaded McDaniels out of Washington.
So we're gonna go by team will break it down team.
Okay, once again, um, Robert water from Mississippi State was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies.
Um, he was selected, um, temp overall in the second round.
Second round 26.
uh, temp, second round pick.
Also the Miami Heat Select.
We just went over Miami.
Also, the Milwaukee Bucks selected RJ Hampton.
That was the 24th pick overall in the first round.
Hey, was from Indiana also.
They selected Jordan Awa from Louisville was selected 15.
Um, and let's give you the New York next, Okay? They did selected Obi Topline.
Look, I'm be honest with you with overtopping.
Look, if he can be that supporting cast for Mitchell Robinson, Kevin Knox, I think they'll utilize him pretty well.
I think they're absolutely utilize him pretty well when it comes down to it.
Um, they selected, um Lina Lina Dough.
Barbarino from Argentina.
That's another guy Got picked in the in the draft.
He was picked 23rd in the draft.
Hey, was from Utah.
So that was a trade from Utah.
Also, the Oklahoma City thunder selected, um, Emmanuel Quick, quickly from Kentucky.
So that's another guy because, um um and, uh, can useless.
Um, um, Winston also was selected.
So it's not a guy that they, uh, from Michigan State.
So looks like they're gonna be rebuilding.
They're gonna be, um, reloading in the end.
Orlando Magic, Orlando Magic pick Coal Anthony.
Pretty good pick right there.
50 pick overall for the Orlando Magic.
Now the Philadelphia 76 is selected.
Um uh, Tyree's Maxie from Kentucky.
That's a pretty good once again, they also selected Deal, um, Madden from France.
Calibrate from Colorado, Isaiah, Joe from Arkansas and, um, Paul read from the Paul.
So they're gonna be, um, looking to build upon their team.
Uh, because, look, if you could utilize Maxie in at that court, um, with joy would be and stuff like that, I think it'll be a good fit for the Philadelphia 76 is Okay.
The Phoenix Suns.
Let's go over to the Phoenix Suns.
Selected Jaden Smith from he's the what's attempt pick in the first round.
Looks like this project the role for spacing shop blocking that would be a big program for him.
So let's go over to, um, Portland.
Let's go to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Portland Trail places Selected Isaiah Stewart from Washington.
So looks like it's another good, um, selection and also they selected CJ L A B from Washington state.
So to Washington players coming from Washington in the Pac 12.
So one from Washington, one from Washington state.
So it's a pretty good combination now, San Antonio San Antonio was the team tonight.
To be honest with you, they with an absolute team off the night they selected Devin vessel from Florida State.
So they're gonna have some talent build around when it comes down.
And also, though, selected Trey Jones, another guy from Duke.
So that's another, uh, individual coming in.
Um, for them now, the Sacramento Kings selected Tyreese.
Halliburton, that was the 12th pick in the first round by the hey was selected by poor um Sacramento.
So I'll be honest with you.
They they're gonna load up with talent when it comes down to the and that most likely going to be a good team.
Hopefully, they can build their team with the future eso they have Tillman race, um, ran, see? And also Kenyon Martin that Z So Kenyon Martin also was picked 22nd in the second round of the NBA draft and also 13th.
I was Ramsey and then Tillman Yeah, now.
Toronto, Toronto, Maliki Flynn.
They selected Maliki Flynn from and also Jalen Harris from Nevada who selected 29th.
Um, okay, we'll go to the Utah Jazz.
Utah Jazz selected you, Joker.
I'm saying it right.
He's from Kansas.
Also saving leave from Vanderbilt.
So it's another, um, selection.
That could be a big impact for the, uh that was a trade from Mom New York through the L A Clippers.
Also, the Washington, which is selected Denny out of ADA pager from Israel net Israeli player coming in.
And also, uh, Vic creation.
Uh, that's k e or, um, J c I.
He's from the Czech Republic, so looks like Mawr International players coming in.
So once again, MBA draft recap here on Sports Caster.
And, um, from last night's draft.
So once again, all the draft picks coming in.
So once again, I think it was a great draft last night, to be honest with you.
So, um, who could ask for anything more? So that was just, um be honest.
Which it was just excellent draft.
Look, they had a lot of excitement.
They had a lot of trades coming in a lot of just like the pelicans had some trades and stuff like that.
So look, don't think for one second that the draft is just gonna be a just unordinary draft.
It's not even close.
It's gonna be a It's gonna be a lot of trades, a lot of situations going on.
So once again on that note, this includes today's sports talk What Carol Wimar show for Thursday, November 19.
We previewed the Saints in Atlanta.
Falcons will play once again.
