I'm live all right. I am live.
So first time using the sportscaster going experiment little bit tonight.
Gonna talk a little Eagles preseason.
Just general thoughts.
General observations just kind of go through the roster and just give some general thoughts on what I think of them.
So let's talk about it.
All right? I got to viewers.
People are actually listening to this. Oh, my God.
All right, let's start with the quarterback.
Should Carson Wentz have taken some more preseason wraps? All right, well, here are my thoughts on that last year.
If you remember heading into this season, a lot of injuries.
Guys were recovering and the season happened.
They weren't ready.
So this season, this time around, the Peterson is trying to keep everyone in Tel.
And unfortunately, Ah, Carson Wentz did not play this preseason so far.
If it were up to me, I would have liked to see him play Siri's in that third preseason game, at least a Siri's or two with Sean Jackson being new in here.
And I would like to see them to build a little bit of confusion together.
So those are my thoughts there.
Ah, as for a the other quarterbacks here, I think Josh McCown looked pretty good.
Cody Kessler Stakes.
He He's terrible.
He's He's an abomination.
Once he comes back, that will be.
The interesting thing is, is, I guess Josh McCown is gonna be the backup and not seen eight sub felt.
Now that seems to be the speculation.
All right, running backs.
Who's gonna make the team? It sounds like there's gonna be four running backs who we're gonna make the roster.
That's my projection.
I think the Eagles do.
Darren Sproles is like a special teams, a slash receiver, so more so than a running back at this point in his career, he'll make the team.
UH, you'll have.
I think Corey Clement will be the fourth guy to make it.
He's gonna beat out Josh Adams.
Josh Adams still kind of has a fumbling problems, Still doesn't look comfortable catching passes out of backfield, and it's small or just a little long in the tooth at this point.
Struggles in pass protection.
That was an area that the Eagles really struggled it in with their running backs last year.
Jordan Howard. That's an area.
He's fairly adept that that's something that the Eagles are going to get benefit from with.
His service is, and then you got Miles Sanders and his jump cutting ability.
So you go from last year and you fast forward to this year.
And there's so much more depth at the running back position for Philadelphia.
All right, wide receivers, let's talk about that.
Who's gonna be the fifth wideout on the roster? Is it gonna be Matt Collins? Is there gonna be Markham Shell, or is it gonna be Greg Ward? Who's it going? Obey, Uh, personally, I think they will keep Mac Collins.
I think he'll be the guy due to his ability to play special teams.
But the other guy really keep in Ireland right now is Greg.
We're catching my eye quick and jittery.
I like what I'm seeing from him, but you look at those guys laid on the roster who kind of makes the team the last 10 guys.
You got to really play good on the special teams and Matt Collins.
That's something that he does extremely well.
So you go back to his rookie season, had a good rookie season that he's been battling injuries ever since.
But he's always been a stud on special teams, and I think he'll be the fifth live receiver on the roster.
So what I need to see at a dowser dowse God in week one at preseason game, you look like an absolute beast.
Oh, he and Zach Ertz that combination.
I mean, I know people are hyping it up.
You know, there are some thoughts that they're gonna be like Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.
But, I mean, you got two guys.
We're gonna dominate the seams.
They're gonna dominate the red zone.
Guider has ability to make yards after the catch.
I'm really excited to see what the Eagles do with these two tight end sets.
And Josh Perkins probably gonna be the other tight end to make the roster with the injury to Richard Rodgers, Unfortunately, just can't stay healthy for the Birds.
Offensive lineman Andre Dillard.
Is it stud? I've been so impressed by what I've seen from him.
I I know it's only preseason and you know he's not exactly facing the top notch pass rushers, but nobody's getting past him so far.
His feet look quick, and what's encouraging is what I'm seeing in the run blocking, because with the run blocking, that was an area that, you know, it was kind of unfairly great because, well, Washington State doesn't run the ball a lot.
And not only did they not run the ball, that didn't seem like they ran it on his side.
But if you watch the games, the preseason games, he's got some push and it's surprisingly good.
So you got the past protection event and then the run blocking looks a lot better than we originally anticipated.
Andre Diller looks like the real deal already, so that's that's really, really encouraging.
The sea and the big thing.
There is Jason Peters and his ability to not always stay on the field.
So you know the the season will come along and he'll come out of the game for a couple of plays and no big V will go in there.
Whoever will go in there and then they'll struggle a little bit.
Well, if Jason Peters is hurt and has to like miss a game all of a sudden amount is worried because I'm very Dillard is behind him and he looks like a stud defensive line.
My eye has been on the defensive ends, and obviously the guy that's really bit making a big name for himself is Day shot Hall Really charging up the hall is gonna make this team.
He's been the M V P so far in the preseason.
I believe he's ranked second among edge rushers, according to pro football Focus.
So you look at a guy there. He's really timing.
And Snap is using his hands well.
And, uh, man, you look at what happened to the Eagles this offseason.
You lost Chris Long.
You lost Michael Bennett.
But there's some potential Sheriff Miller has shown some things.
Josh selection tested on some things and then, obviously the aforementioned day Sean Hall.
So while Bennett and long our losses maybe make up some of that production, er, linebackers, you know that they released Paul Warlow like a week ago, and then he retired.
After that, I've liked what I've seen out of two guys in particular.
We'll see if they make the team.
So TJ Edwards eyes.
There is an undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin, like what I've seen from him, and then the other one is is the CFL guy Alex Singleton.
Uh, special teams stud, but he's been flowing to the ball.
He looks pretty good, too.
And we'll see about him.
And then cornerbacks and secondary play just made a video about this for my p i in 60 where I was guessing who the eagle started starting corners would be in week one.
And here's what I came up with.
So I think this is pretty simple.
General Mills is hurt.
Grave on LeBlanc is hurt.
Sidney Jones is just not cutting it so far, he does not look comfortable on off coverage.
So that leaves were still Douglas and Avante.
They're still Douglas.
A little stiff little step.
He's not gonna play inside.
Doesn't have that.
Flexibility doesn't have that quickness of jitteriness like of automatics.
So Maddox will start in the nickel, and I believe that Crystal Douglas will be the other starting cornerback outside.
So those are my thoughts there. All right.
So this is this is the first little video here, Here.
You filling influence her first time using sportscaster.
