What's up? This ****, boy? He really any star? Let's get this thing started early morning, podcast.
Hope you guys gave me pretty good.
Got a little bit of deep voice man going on here because I just literally just woke up.
I'm trying to do this podcast for, like, a couple days already, man.
But as you could see Saturday morning, don't have everything up yet.
Let's get it right here.
Anyway. Let's get started.
Man is equal to any star host of the dying, this podcast.
Welcome to another podcast.
Of course, we're gonna be talking about Russell Westbrook.
We got Russell Westbrook on the on deck.
We got CP three and we got Fred Van Fleet man.
So but I further ado.
Let's just get busy, man.
So, I mean, the elephant in the room for everybody is just talking about right now is rest.
Westbrook, right? So rest of Westbrook is 32 years old, you know, And, um, first thing that people say about him is that he's losing his speed, Whatever. Losing his athleticism.
He's getting too old.
This Any other oldest injuries and stuff like that.
But what about Chris Paul? Everybody's like, Oh, we need to get Chris Paul because he will teach the kids.
He'll teach the guys how to how to do whatever, all right? It's all fine and dandy, but you can't You can't say one thing for one guy.
Say one thing for the next guy.
Because out of the three people that, um, that I'm gonna talk about this podcast on Lee. One person won the championship.
Now you could talk about that.
That this person was a was a role player or, you know, he wasn't like, you know, the star or, you know, he's only only did well because he was playing next to this guy and that guy, but, I mean, how could this, um, cp three? He's never won a championship, you know, and he's had plenty of great teams that he played with throughout his career.
He played with a with a bunch of Hall of Famers.
That's the big thing like that, that he played with a Hall of Famer.
This or any other.
You know, he's played with plenty.
Plenty of Hall of Famers playing, playing guys, they're gonna make it to all the fame.
Even Blake Griffin is gonna make the Hall of Fame due to his numbers.
All right, A lot of people might not like that, but that's that's the fact.
You know, I'm saying break girlfriend has the numbers.
Uh, DeAndre Jordan, bunch of different guys.
Whatever they had, they had a good run over there in the clippers.
Uh, you know, hey, played with, um, with Harden in Houston.
Ah, Hall of Fame coach and D'Antoni's.
You know, you could just go down the line for for that Whatever.
Also, rest rest rest will play with countless Hall of Famers, play with heart.
And twice he played with Durant.
You know, I'm saying he played with Paul. George.
All these different guys are probably gonna make the Hall of fame.
When when it's all said and done due to numbers.
Alright, so calm down.
Yeah, man, But anyway, we're just gonna get into it, man, this is this is the first trade that that, um that I saw with Russell Westbrook that I'm that I'm looking at it like, um, is this Riel? Uh, this is, um this is Ah, I got this from Nick's, um, community podcast, but he got it from from bleacher report.
So anyway, you guys can see it on the screen.
This Wayne Ellington, Bobby Portis, Frank.
Uh, Kevin knocks.
And, uh, 2021 2nd round pick for Russell Westbrook.
That's a fleece job, guys.
I don't know what anybody else is saying.
You know, this This is a fleece job.
If you look at Wayne Ellington, Wellington is a nobody.
He's gonna get waved anyway.
Bobby Portis, you know, in another situation, maybe would be nice to keep him.
But right now he's, ah, wave job as well, because because we want the free agents, you know, the cap space for free agency.
Uh, Frank Neil Akina, you know, he's a nice, nice player on a good team.
Were not a good team, were nowhere near good team.
You know what I'm saying? So it's kind of a waste.
I have a player like him because the only thing that he really brings is defense.
And occasionally, you know, he might surprise you with an offensive player. Whatever.
Kevin Knox is another story.
You know, Sammy and Russell just had him on the coach's corner.
And, you know, the one thing that he does do well is, uh, you know, pick and roll play.
So that's that's That's pretty pretty good.
I mean, but you know, this the pick and roll is that is the Let me let me get this off the screen.
Pick and roll is is like the the what do you call, um, oldest trick in the book.
You know what I'm saying? So, I mean, everybody can kind of do pick and roll for that, for that matter.
But, you know, if you want your small forward or power forward doing pick and roll with your center all game, you know, I guess I guess that could work.
But you gotta have supreme shooters around him, You know what I'm saying? So I mean, that's that, Really? And I just don't I just don't get the fight because people are saying, Let me put it up again.
People are saying that this trade right here that they would never do it.
You know, I don't see r. J. Barrett there.
I don't see Mr Robinson there, so I mean, I don't see what the what the problem was with this trade.
Now with the Houston Rockets do this trade, the Houston Rockets were absolutely not.
Do the trade, man.
That trade, that's raises a fleece job on the next part.
You know, if if I was Houston, you know, I would kind of laugh, But then again, Houston is the one that wants to get rid of this player.
So the leverage belongs to the Knicks.
You know what I'm saying? So that's that's gonna be like the key theme as well with this is that the Knicks have all the, um all the what you call the leverage.
You know, we're the ones that have the cap space to absorb.
These contracts were the ones that have all these young assets important and draft picks.
So I was like, Yo, take it or leave it.
If you could get a better deal, go get a better deal because what we What we really should do is, um, stand pat and I just don't do anything, you know, just draft.
You know where we are and get the cast space and and and then sign whoever we could sign.
If not, then we just keep it rolling.
Then we lose again next year and we get another draft pick and we just keep this thing rolling.
That's what we should do.
So anyway, let's let's go to everyone's favorite veteran here.
Paul, Uh, this is the Chris Paul trade that the police report put up.
This is also off of this community podcast Instagram.
So, um, similar trade Wayne Ellington and Bob reporters.
That's where it gets a little different.
Dennis Smith Jr.
Frankly, Latina knocks.
And, uh, 22,023 1st round pick for Chris.
Paul, listen to me, Chris.
Paul is 35 years old today, You know, I'm saying so, uh, we're talking about a guy that what is now is like two more years left in this country.
Two or three years left from not mistaken.
I just way too much, um, years left because I believe Chris Paul's contract's gonna be up when he's, like, 38 or whatever.
You know, I'm saying so.
I mean, that's crazy to give up all of this because I mean the same thing.
I already made the point where Wayne Ellington about reporters, these guys are washes, uh, Dennis Smith Jr.
With all the potential that he might have, you know, if he because I mean, he did average 15 points a game once, once in his career.
You know, I'm saying, of course it was on a bad team or whatever, but, you know, he played He also average, like, what, 12 points a game with with Luca.
You know, before you got traded to the Knicks, You know what I'm saying? You know, you got to the Knicks, and he just had, like, a really bad year.
So, you know, you can you can really, Chuck, um, Dennis Smith as a decent player.
If he goes back to playing the way he played before last season, Then then Houston gets a decent player here.
You know, a kid with potential frighten the Latina.
If they keep it. Harden.
You put hard in next Thio, you put frankly, Lucchino next to harden and you know, then then you have a decent player.
Because frankly, Latina would do everything that Houston, I'm excuse me that their heart didn't wanna do.
And Harden is gonna absolutely do everything there.
Frank is not gonna do so.
It balances out Kevin knocks on the team with with Harden makes sense because, um, dumbed down Kevin Knox is on roll and lead hard to do his thing.
You know, Bob report is also Well, we'll be Would do Well, what with a heart and ran team also, when Elton These guys are shooters, man.
So this is actually a trade that would work well, with with James Harden.
And then, um you know, this, um, this 2023 1st round draft pick is a no no for me because, I mean, we're getting a guy that's 35 years old.
Why do we have to give a first round draft pick to this guy? I don't care if it's 2023 the next.
Um, you know, I don't think the Knicks are gonna be bad in 2023 but it is quite possible that we could still be bad during 2023 season.
So I don't I don't want to give up a draft pick, especially for a guy that we get when we get him.
He's gonna be 38 years old when the contract is over, you know? So it's it's, um it's just it's just ridiculous to me.
But, you know, this is this trade here without the first round draft pick is actually a good trade for Chris Paul.
So if if they was able to to do that, then you know, there may be that that wouldn't be so bad.
But, I mean, like, I just I'm just not in the in the market for for having a guy that's like, 35 years old to run your basketball club.
You know, I I know.
Um, Westbrook is gonna be 32.
His birthday was was on the 12th.
So, um, you know, 30 to 35 that's three years.
So at the end of Russell Westbrook's on contract, 32 he'll be what, 36 35? 36? You know, I'm saying I could rock with that cause 35 36.
Then he more than more than like, you're gonna be on his decline because, I mean, the guy he just average he just came up with season averaging 27 7 and seven.
You know, I'm saying that that's playing next toe James Harden.
So I mean James Harden is a super, um, you know, um, uses player, and he was still able to get his shirt off.
27 77 you know, in his 32 season, you know, so at, um, you know, next year for this for this season because he just turned 32 so he won't be 33 until next season.
You know, for this 32 year, I think he's probably gonna do the same thing.
And, you know, if you wanna talk about his his, um, his injuries and stuff like that, Chris Paul has had just the same amount of injuries throughout throughout the throughout the course of his career, you know, but but Chris Paul is older, you know.
So Chris Paul's had growing injuries.
Ankle, knees, you know, back you know, ******.
He's had the old kind of injuries on Chris Paul, Uh, Russell Westbrook towards a C.
You know, he tore his a c l came back early and still was jumping from the foul line.
Doing this crazy stuff still ableto do on three straight years.
Triple double years, You know, I'm saying so. Wrestle.
I'm not worried about him getting hurt.
because he's a freaking freak of nature.
You know, he's just, like, on the same scale as LeBron James is If these guys you know, if they you know even if they get hurt, they're gonna come back even even better, because they just crazy psycho cyborg kind of guys, You know what I'm saying? So you know, rest of Westbrook.
I'm not worried about all that stuff.
And also to you wanna talk about getting guys better? Somebody made the point.
I forgot who it was.
I believe it was Alan Hand.
You know, he was like Oladipo.
Um he brought up all the depo, all the people saw the way that Westbrook worked and was like, Yo, if I want to get, um, my bag, my money, then I need to work as hard as a stressed book.
And, you know, all the people went from a guy that they looked like he might have been a bust, you know, to a guy that that that right now in this free agency period, that that people want him, you know, even even though he came off like like blowing like I forgot what I believe it was his Achilles.
It was his Achilles or something having to do with his leg.
You know that, Um, coming off a major injury and people still want him.
You know what I'm saying? Because it's the what he learned from from Westbrook.
You know, Oladipo already got that confidence in him.
But to see how how how hard on Westbrook work.
Um, you know, that made him work even harder.
So, you know, you wanna talk about R.
Barrett, aren't you? Barrett? I think it's gonna be a star.
You just gotta He's gotta wait his turn.
You know, his turn is gonna come.
But But if somebody's gonna be a star, whoever is on the roster is not gonna not gonna matter.
You know, it is either the guy who could play or he can't, you know? So, like, like when you talk about Kevin Knox, right? Kevin knocks everything is in his head, frankly, looking at everything is in his head, aren't you, Baron? Nothing is in his head, aren't you? Barry is super, um, you know, confident.
So playing next toe Westbrook and he see once he sees will rest with does I believe he's gonna have the same effect that older people had when he saw Westberg hard. He worked.
Barrett is already working hard.
He's gonna take his game to the next level, playing with God, like Westbrook.
And then I'm like, you want you want to talk about, you know, he's gonna He's gonna, like, hinder his development on the on the court.
Um, you know, the thing with Westbrook is that he just plays hard.
He plays extremely hard.
So if somebody's playing extremely hard and scoring the basketball and maybe doing whatever he does, um you know, you gotta have a coach to rein him in, and that's gonna be Tom Thibodeau.
Tom Thibodeau is gonna is strong enough personality wise, and I'm quite sure Westbrook is gonna respect him.
They're both gonna have a mutual respect right off the bat because they both love the game, you know? So I I I think that they're gonna they're gonna hit it off right off the bat.
So I think between that, that dynamic on whatever and a game plan and stuff like that, I think, um, you know, r J Barrett and whoever else they they're just gonna they're just gonna blossom.
So I just think I think that's that's a better fit.
You wanna talk about Chris? Paul? Of course. Chris.
Paul is gonna make the, um, the next better.
I'm not saying that he wants, but, you know, at this juncture, man, that the guy he makes, like, 40 something million, you know, over the course of of how many more years and that he has left in his contract.
I'm trying to get some light here, guys, I'm losing.
It Seems like I'm losing my light.
So anyway, you wanna talk about, you know, just just the way that he plays? Of course.
Like I said, of course, he's gonna make the next better, but yeah, yeah, this is This is live television, guys.
What's the like, Boom. There I go.
So, anyway, you know, of course, is gonna make guys better, But I mean, like, he's 35 years old, so I mean, like, how long can that go? You know, you're talking about elevating guys like, um, Frank the Latina, and you know, whoever else you wanted want to elevate, But, I mean, we have draft picks coming.
So I mean, like, there's too much emphasis placed on the place that we already have.
We about to draft some guys.
So let's say if we draft the point guard on, we got Chris.
Um, then I think Chris Paul should emphasize, um, the development on that player.
Like if he was to drive Carrie Lewis, I would want Chris Paul, um, you know Thio motivate carry Louis Thio be the starting point guard.
Not Franklin Latina, you know, saying it's, um, you know, this priorities, you know, it's kind of messed up.
And Knick fans, the Knick fans don't really have any foresight.
They only see it's like it's like it's like a It's like buying a house.
You know? I'm saying and then like your ladies here, like, I don't see the potential I'm like, Hey, if we cut down this wall, we're gonna have more room for you in the kitchen.
You know, I'm saying, or if if you cut this wall, we'll have more room in in the in the, you know, the dining room to do whatever you need to do.
Like so I mean, you know, just like I think we should get this house.
You know, I'm saying that this is This is the same.
It's the same scenario.
Most Knicks fans, they look at that. They just see the roster.
Most people that look in on the Knicks, they just see what's what's happened before and don't have any foresight or whatever, But, you know, Anyway, let's let's get into Let's get into this, man.
Uh, this is this is gonna be, um this is what, um, you know, basically brought me to the dark side with just, um, Russell respect, because I kinda you know, I don't want to trade.
That happens still, but I can totally understand how you know how it could benefit the next.
Anyway, this is what sold me the Westbrook family.
Man, look at these kids.
1233 little guys.
And, uh, and and his wife, man.
Their interactions and stuff.
They posted a birthday video, and, you know, he was his wife was talking to him or whatever, and you could see that they love each other.
Um, Russell Russell Westbrook.
People like the joke or they're not.
They're, like, half joking, talking about that.
If he comes to New York.
He's gonna go crazy and this to any other.
Hey, don't go crazy.
This is what he does.
He never had any problems with his wife and no scandals.
No, not like Chris Paul, where he's out there doing all kinds of Dirty **** stuff.
You know what I'm saying? This is Russell Westbrook.
He's, um he's a family man.
You know? He loves his wife.
They they met each other and u C L A.
And they've just been doing this, you know, in his off season.
If he's not working out, he's doing this with his family on vacation, and I'm just chilling out with them in the crib.
I'm, you know, drawing and all kind of stuff.
You just if you if you could follow, uh, Mrs Westbrook's page and just check out everything they dio all the pictures have two pictures is with on Westbrook actually interacting with his family.
And that's a beautiful thing, man to me, seeing that that that sold me right there cause it just shows you what kind of person he is. The guys.
Ah, basketball lifer.
You know he loves his wife.
He loves his family, and that's that's what I want.
You know, I'm saying that's what I want Chris Paul has the same thing as well, you know? But there's a lot of other things going on with Chris Paul as far as like, um, you know, the union and you know, his endor*****ts and stuff like that restaurants.
We don't have any of that.
You know, I'm saying he's not doing anything that is just basketball family, and that's it.
And that's what I love, man.
And that's why I think him and Thibodeau were hit it off even better.
So anyway, let's this transition to another player now just I'll just post this.
This is what sold me on this guy as well.
Man, this is Fred Vanvleet.
This is his beautiful wife here and his two little babies.
This is from last Christmas, and he got this little guy here, you know, little chubby guy with the Christmas outfit, and he got this little baby here, you know, with her little Christmas outfit.
And you know, I post this picture because this is a new a new on family.
You know, they're They've also they've met each other You know, early on, they got married, had kids and did everything the right way.
They come from to good families, you know? And, you know, uh, you know, I like to shout out people on the podcast, man, But if you if you could check out, let me make sure I get the name right of the show is called The Old Man and the three.
That's, um, JJ Red**** and his partner.
Um, check out the podcast that Fred Vanvleet with their with them recently.
It's basically a job interview.
You know, I'm saying especially afraid, man, for the job interview, and and it's fantastic.
He's he's talking.
They're asking them all kind of questions.
Then they just straight up Ask him. So, yo, free agency.
What? You what you think? And then he just said, Yo, you know, I want a championship.
You know, I've gotten better every year in the NBA.
I paid my dues, whatever, you know, like I said, I want a championship.
I won on every level that I've been on.
Um yo, I want to get paid, and of course, he should get paid, you know, like people like people.
Take that out of context, but you have to watch the actual podcast in order to, um, watch and listen to the podcast and to get the full context because they talk in depth.
I mean, like, this is like borderline tampering to the to the point that because he for evidently it's totally transparent.
And he gave us like, um, like all his his arm, his business out there, He said There in Toronto, they don't even have a house.
They've been renting, you know, saying so.
He's renting with two little babies.
You know, They're not a school age yet, you know, I'm saying so.
He's looking for a place where where you gonna put plant some seeds, get his kids in school and be with his family? Cause he's another guy, too, he told us.
Spill the beans to There's a lot of guys in the NBA.
They love to party, and they love to do whatever they dio.
And for everyone.
Really, it's just not that type of guy.
He's never been that guy, you know, So like, he's old ahead, you know, he's old.
He's like he's like he's been here before.
Um, he, he said on the podcast that he tends to gravitate to older players.
You know, saying so older guys, you know, he likes to be around them because they're more his speed, you know, he's a family guy.
He's not into partying, you know? See, that's that's what I love.
Like when I was younger, you know, I was I was ****ed up.
I was doing whatever, whatever I was doing aside for what I was supposed to be doing.
So you know that that that that was me? You know, I'm saying, but guy had a similar age.
He's not doing that.
You know what I'm saying? He's I'm actually, uh, you know, it got his priorities in order family and is his family work.
And he wants to provide for his family.
So right now he doesn't have ah city to to live in, uh, Toronto doesn't have a city to playing.
So Toronto, you know, is gonna have the trips against them because, uh, you know, they, like like, for a family was like, yo, he wants to go to Vegas.
He would He would like to move to Vegas with his family or whatever, but they took Vegas off of the, um, off of the, you know, the, you know, the chart or whatever.
You know, the list that they were going to send them Thio.
Anyway, there's a bunch of other different places, I believe Tampa.
They're talking about Tampa, so he's good.
We're going to Tampa, you know, you've made peace with that.
So if it comes down to him staying in Toronto, and if they go to Tampa, that would be good for him.
But like I said, he's looking for his family stuff like that.
So I mean, like, what better place to start your own, Your family, you know, then than New York, you know? I mean, you know, New York has it has this little little quirks and stuff like that.
But there's so many different places where you could live in New York and I have a great life and excuse me and their young to, you know, s so they're gonna want to go on dates and stuff like that, enjoy the city, you know, go out to dinner and, um, different shows and stuff like that.
So I think New York City would be a great exciting, um, city for young family.
And then, of course, they These guys have money, so they don't have to go to the New York City's, um, school system.
You know, I'm saying public school system, they can do private school and, um, you know, and live that life.
You know what I'm saying? So it'll be something interesting for them for them to deal with.
So that's not even that's not even basketball.
So anyway, we're gonna talk about the bag, right? So let's talk about the bag.
I'm not I'm not pulling anything up.
Right, But, you know, as far as as far as like, off the top of my head, you got you got.
First of all, you know, I don't have the exact numbers, but Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul both for making, uh, third between 30 and $45 million a year.
You know, I'm saying so fragrantly is not gonna get $40 million a year.
He's not gonna get $30 million a year.
Also in the in the interview, on on the JD already podcast.
He was talking about that, That that he doesn't have a number in his head, you know, Say he has an idea, he said.
But he's just looking to get to get market rate.
He just wouldn't want to get what he what? He's, um you know what he thinks his market is.
And then if somebody wants to give more, it's up to them, You know? Then he'll just deal with that when it when it comes.
So it is a guy that self aware of what his market is.
I'm quite sure he doesn't think his market is 30 40 million.
You know, if somebody wants to paying 30 40 40 million, that's on them.
And he probably gonna take it, wouldn't you? You know, I'm saying, but forever.
And fleet, his market is gonna be, uh, 15 million, you know, because you've got guys like I mentioned.
Um, Jeff Teague.
You got guys like Jeff Teague out there.
Uh, what do you want to say? Um, Rubio in Phoenix.
Um, you know, just going online, all the all the point guards and around his his play level.
Hey, might actually be better than them now.
Um, you know, they're all making around 15 $18 million a year.
That's on forever in fleets.
Um um market right there, You know, saying so.
Like to to really get him away from Toronto and away from that situation, because there's a winning situation.
But right now they're just screwed because they don't have anywhere to anywhere to play.
So they're they're influx.
And, you know, with a young family there, Once he gets his his his family simulated to school and stuff like that, he's not gonna want to bounce around.
Okay, look, we're here in Tampa on this year, okay? Now Toronto's we're gonna go back to Toronto.
You know what, Do I wanna go back to Toronto again? Cause it's just too much too much drama back and forth, even though he's from, um, from Canada.
You know what I'm saying? So it could be just too much for his family to go back and forth doing dealing with that bull****.
So he's gonna want a place that he could put his roots in.
So I mean, like, cove it and everything is is happening.
But New York is New York, You know what I'm saying? So I mean, there's something to deal with, too.
So I mean, like, I think I think forever.
Athletes, um, ceiling for us for a salary is gonna be 20 million.
And I think if the Knicks offer forever and 20 million over the course of, uh, you gotta be realistic with the contract.
So you're not gonna give him a five year contract? You know what I'm saying? So you wanna talk about three years? Given a three year deal, Possibly the third year team option? Or maybe a four year deal with the four for your team option at around 20 mil.
Uh, somebody somebody posted my mental memento.
Also target posted.
They were talking about, you know, giving them, like a like, a high rate for the first year.
Then, um, um, the pay decreases for a few years and then the option year give him another big bump to make the money balance.
So you wanna talk about, say, like, uh, 24 for the first year, right? And then 16 for the for the second year, maybe 18 for the for the third year, and then bump it back up to, like, like, 20.
Like whatever it is 23 or whatever to balance out the numbers.
So I mean, something like that.
kind of will work for the Knicks, because this year we don't We don't really care about salary because if we signed for Van Fleet, then on the $24 million bump will be on the cap.
Then you wanna you know, that if you could sign whoever we were gonna sign, we'll have, like, 24 we'll have, like, 20 million left to spend.
So we'll bring somebody else up in here with him, you know, for for this year, then next year is tolerate declined so much that that it give us a little bit of booster to sign somebody else if you needed to.
So it is a lot of different ways to play around with this thing.
You know what I'm saying? So this is something something to really think about.
But aside from all that, for example, is only 26 years old, you know? So we're talking about a guy that there's an old head, a student of the game.
Same same type of situation is going on with these other players, except he's basically the best shooter out of the three.
And he's a leader, you know? So I mean, it is what it is, man, this is This is this is what, um this is This is what's on the table for, for for the Knicks, man.
And, you know, I just I just I just wish that that I can't say I wish, but you wanna talk about the twitterverse? I'm on Twitter now, guys.
So I mean, you know, Twitter is Twitter, bam, twitters twitter.
But, you know, sometimes you get you get sucked into that vacuum.
That's why I really don't really want like to mess with Twitter so much.
But, you know, then you wanna talk about Instagram and just everybody and just your people in the street that you talk to whatever everybody so crazy about about all these trades.
You know, everybody has a has an idea, You know, we need to trade this, that this that this that and get this guy this guy.
And once we get that guy that we could flip him, betrayed him next year, and then the trade deadline is like, you know, it's crazy like that.
That that's too much stress.
That's too much stress.
You know what I'm saying? Right now? We're trying to build a franchise so I mean, the building a franchise under stress there's no good man is no good for the for.
The franchise is no good for the for the on fans.
You know, I'm saying so.
So let's let's let's be realistic, Frits Van Fleet should be our main option right now.
You know, I know right now that they're putting a lot of pressure on us with the, like, the trade deadline.
And maybe it's starting the offseason before the trade deadline.
They said, like, two days later.
I think I think the drivers on December, um, 18th.
And I think the free agency, period, I think it starts on the 22nd for not mistaken.
So I mean, they're giving guys a little bit all the all the 20th.
They give you guys a little bit of time to to get theirselves together, you know, so that that works good for the for the Knicks.
But, I mean, there is kind of pressure for the next to do something as far as, like, the media and the fan base and everything like that.
But if you don't, if you block all that **** out, you know I'm saying and you just deal with whoever's in the room.
You know, you gotta be a realistic for what? The franchises and like making all these trades and moving up the draft and get this guy and all this other stuff.
It cause a lot, a lot of confusion.
Then like if the Knicks just just take a step back and see what's in front of them, then then it then they could make a sound decision.
So anyway, I think Fred Van Fleet could be a nick for 20 million 20 million average.
Like I said, I explained it, you know? So those were just popping in.
Don't don't kill me, because I just explained it. You got to check the replay.
So anyway, you know that that will be his number.
And then, like like I said, we'll have We'll still have, like, you know, like 20 Mill, uh, 20 plus militar player to add another player to the to the roster, then also to this other options as well.
As soon as we get that settled, we could trade Julius Randle or not, you know, because there's no pressure for us to really trade Julius Randle Onley because people in New York don't like him because of the spin move and this any other.
But that might have to do with, um ah, Fist.
It'll the way that he was coaching him Because he did play better once Mike Milic it got in there because he had him in a different um um, scenario, uh, Tom Thibodeau was gonna have him in a different scenarios.
Well, so I'm quite sure they're gonna dumb it down for a lot of these guys and make it make it more smooth for them Thio to succeed.
You know, I'm saying so Getting a forever and fleet, you know, to be on in the mix with these guys.
He's I believe he would have them organized the same way that Chris Paul would have him in the same way that the rest of Westbrook will have guys in a place where they could be successful outside of that point guard.
But the thing about it is, for every athlete could shoot his ass off.
And that's exactly what we need at the point guard spot.
And you know, people say that he can't drive.
I could put up so much video off him, attacking guys onto the basket.
He's an opportunistic dude.
He knows where he's supposed to be.
But he could get to anywhere.
He needs to be on the court, No problem.
But he knows where his with strengths are.
So that's why he should be, you know? And then you wanna talk about playing next to R. J. Barrett? Whatever.
Um, fragrantly could shoot.
Are you bury? Can't really shoot yet, you know, saying so.
That's a nice balance.
You know, maybe you slide RJ to the three.
That's another thing I'm gonna I'm gonna say before I get out of here.
Is that fragrantly in the same podcast? Old the old man and the three from did you heretic? Um, at the end of his little the little talk about the Knicks, Um, they mentioned RJ No.
There's a different podcast. Can't get the guy's name.
Anyway, he mentioned the fact that he love rgb.
Oh, so I love that dude, man.
And then when he said it, he put his head down like, yo like that.
You know, as if he's like, really he's put some thought in it before, you know, I'm questioning he might have had conversations with, um What are you, Barry? And that might be foreshadowing.
I'm trying to say that he actually is thinking about coming to the next, you know, because Because he's put some thought into playing with certain players and all gibberish from Canada as well.
So that might be a little connection.
These guys might know each other.
You know, before you know, all this stuff happened back back in Canada.
So there's a lot of stuff to to think about, But, like, like me personally, you know, You know, aside from whatever I said on Twitter, aside from whatever arguments that people get into on the Internet or whatever, um, you know, I think for evidently is the is the right option If we calm down, you know, draft number eight.
Don't worry about making no trades.
You know, draft 27 draft 38.
Uh, use our, you know, wave.
Whoever needs to be waved to get our cap money, uh, signed forever and fleet to upgrade the point guard spot.
And then, um you know, if you're gonna keep Randall, you know I'm saying or if you're gonna trade Randall try to get maybe a shooting guard or something else, Um, that they could help out, cause I think that would be great.
Get on trade, trade, Randall to get, like, a legit shooting guard to play next to for Evidently, that would be dope.
Or take that that little cap space and maybe get a guy like DeRozan.
Maybe DeRozan might wanna play with Reverend because these guys were like best friends when they went Toronto.
He also talked about that on the old man in three, Um, podcast.
So I mean, really check that out because that that was, like a total like, um, like a job interview episode for, for example, eat.
Anyway, let's talk about that forever and fully.
And, uh, and the Rosen together on the same team because I mean DeRozan will have to take a pay cut.
What do you do that? I'm not sure, But, you know, the Knicks go also maneuver salary to to get a little bit more kept as well.
If if that was something that would happen So let's let's let's let's listen to me for evidently DeRozan.
They balance each other out because one is a three point shooter.
One isn't so. That's great. DeRozan.
It is good at facilitating, and then he could score. You could give him the ball.
He could score when we need Thio.
Um, let's say if he was, if he was to keep Julius Randle at that point.
Now you have a decent Big Three with R J in the mix, and you have Mitch Robinson in the mix.
That's a ****ing good team, bro.
You know? So that's a really good team.
And now if you wanna talk about trading Julius Randle for to do something else, then you could do that as well.
And then you still have the money to draft somebody that to replace Randall.
I mean, Thio to sign somebody, to replace random.
So there's a lot of beautiful things that we could think about that that no one's really talking about, because they're kind of like, you know, you know, sucked in the vacuum of on the are the Russell Westbrook and Chris shoot me on CP three stuff.
Um, the media really wants that Russell Westbrook, because then they'll have plenty of things to talk about.
So anyway, it's getting kind of long now man.
So I believe you guys here, Uh, my other screen just just died.
You know what I'm saying? Like I said, this is early in the morning.
So this is live television.
Live YouTube or live SportsCastr, you know? And also you're gonna see you're gonna hear this on my audio platforms as well.
So anyway, man, I hope you guys enjoy this has been evil to any star.
Bam! Where I'm at right there. Boom.
You would have any star that dire next podcast.
And we talked about Russell Westbrook, CP three and Fred Vanvleet.
Hope you guys enjoyed hope.
I gave you something to think about.
And, um, I see you guys in the next one man peace.
