coming live here It is about 10 39 Sunday night here in the East, Um, with people who come in here and get your watching on the replay.
10 39 PM Sunday night.
Come in talking some Indians baseball here.
Not the worst weekend.
Not the best weekend, Really.
I'm out of the news comes from Yeah, stuff aside from the games themselves have some interesting Trevor Bauer news to discuss.
Obviously, who is there? A.
Maris's broken hand is a huge concern. Moving forward.
Start with today.
I mean, come in hoping for a victory.
I mean, I don't think it's We shouldn't be expecting sweeps every single time you play a bad team, but at the same time, Yeah, the way today's game was lost was incredibly frustrating.
I mean, five runs in eighth, given up to the Royals.
Indians come back with four on the bottom of the ninth to tie it and 88 home run in the tent gives it up.
He had Shane Bieber going seven innings, two rounds, two earned, one runs, three total.
Then you have Witkin given up.
Three was one earned, and then from there, I mean, the collapse started, but from your race helps them fight back.
They lose so really quick.
Thio, I'm going to you share this.
Is there some noise in the background of the stream from my cat eating late night snack? Um, as we talk about Indians baseball here.
So I just want to share this on Twitter.
Now I want to start with started talking about Jose Ramirez because I was reading more about his injury.
And it's a hit share on this shoot machine into the wrong account.
Um, host Ramirez is injury.
That fracture on his hand, um didn't come on, you know, a hit by pitch or you're getting stepped on one sliding.
It was something that is worn down after too much use, like a stress injury.
So I guess if it was gonna happen, it's better it happen.
Not in October before it, but incredibly frustrating.
And for him, too, it's easy as a fan to say, you know, finally, sharing this problem is a fan to get mad.
Um, Jose Ramirez is just It's frustrated or more.
He has stepped surgery tomorrow, strong through Twitter.
Here is I was looking at the mirror stuff, Jeremy a racing one of the best moments of his life.
It's just three run home run, the tie, the game today in the bottom of the eighth or bottom of the night.
So good for him.
You could see his excitement.
Who's going around the basis.
But the main thing today. Waas.
You know, Ramirez out who we're gonna play 1/3.
You Chang gets called up, get start, gets two hits.
But that is pulled late for Mike Freeman, which it seems that if you're gonna have Chang here, you may as well play them in Freeman's Hannah Goodyear.
You know, not great.
Um, I would like to see Chang Geun said, Look here, can't run around.
I would still like to see Chang get more time, especially late in games.
You got to see what you have with him at this point because of next year.
If said that over some kid nous, then you have Ramirez could shift the second.
Maybe they put Chang and third mean Nolan Jones is the prospect everyone wants to see come up and play.
But you still have.
Chang is one of your top prospects.
You got to see we have with him premieres is out for, I mean at least a month and a month from now, September 25th.
So come playoff time, first of the Indian stuff.
Get to the playoffs.
So I've been talking about it like it's a sure thing to see for the past few years.
It waas itwas Okay, let's just go through the motions, Get to October.
Gonna win the division e mean, as of right now, the Indians are three and 1/2 back of the Minnesota Twins in the L Central.
And then you have the wild card where they are.
So the top with the raise, 1/2 game back ese 1/2 game back.
So nothing for sure, as of right now as he stares in my apartment, created the background, um, lot of place.
But you know, the Indians, it's still not giving it all interesting that the Indians raise Both have the same run differential plus 92.
Um, and also the A's are 1/2 game back.
So right now it's going in looking to the Red Sox six games back of the Rays right now in the wild card race.
So I was gonna say Indians raise and a CZ all running there.
Um, we're gonna keep swapping position in those 1st 2 wild card spots.
But when the Red Sox, you can't count them out, either.
They didn't have their only had 70 wins, 70 and 62 with some seven losses behind the Indians.
Um, so really, it's those four teams fighting for those spots, but I still think over the coming weeks is gonna be Indians raising a just switching spots.
Indians, of course, ran out one, but they're off tomorrow.
So let's see tomorrow's schedule to Monday.
The 26 Oakland is playing there, playing the Royals, so there's a good chance they can get to 75 55.
We should put them 1/2 game back of the Indians, and it looks like the razor off.
So we're gonna be playing the schedule game.
The Indians, you know, open next week off Monday.
Nothing in the game against our series against the Tigers and then against the Rays.
By the way, the Rays lost two straight to the Orioles, so thank you, Baltimore, for showing some signs of competency for once.
Pick up to its, which is kind of shocking that they would lose to them.
But, like I said, with the Indians, get the Royals. It's the same thing.
You're not gonna win every single game.
Look at the Rays here.
They're coming at 76 56 and they got a serious against.
Nothing easy here for them.
Three at Houston and then the three it at home for them against the Indians.
Then they got Morgan's Baltimore Cherono.
And the season with dryness is still some tough games for both teams.
I want to see how that turns out back to the specifically Indians news.
I one of the touch.
I'm here because I'm not gonna be in too long.
Is with Trevor Bauer very weird.
So a lot of this was on discussed on the Indians radio broadcast.
Tom Hamilton was ripping on Trevor Bauer, who just got smoked today.
Um, he's not been doing that great with the Reds.
Only get the specifics in the box score, but see here I mean, he did have a single, so if that counts for anything, but they lost 98 to the Pirates, Bauer went three innings, seven earned, gave up eight hits.
He's dropped to one and three in the National League so far.
Hey, see? I mean, his last start Before this, he did strike out 11.
You know his team's loss to the Padres? I'm gonna start.
He gave up nine to the Nationals, so he's been varying, you know, inconsistent.
But today he said that he was a lot happier with the Reds.
A lot happier in Cincinnati.
Um, that was the quote that was spread around.
So obviously immediately everyone's freaking out.
So now we're glad you're not in Cleveland.
You're you're punkers stuff Older people say about baseball players he was talking specifically about, you know, the information he's given in Cincinnati.
I mean, I'm not defending him personally completely, but a lot of stuff, he says.
I mean, I agree with, like, he he also was talking about how a lot of baseball announcers are grumpy and they're saying how dumb the game is now.
So it's not the same anymore.
Too many homeruns.
You're a little kid watching that. That's all you hear.
You're gonna be influenced by That's not good sugar with him on that.
I think a lot of this stuff is taken out of context because, uh, certain media members know that anything about Bauer will cause rage with certain people.
I didn't think it was the band thing.
If he says he's happy there, they want him there there.
No Indians did trade him, so you could say it's a financial thing, but he's happy there.
Who cares? I don't see the issue, he said.
He's always gonna love Cleveland.
I mean, I got a real chance with this career in Cleveland after being dumped by the Diamondbacks.
I mean, he was 1/3 overall pick.
Here's what I gave up on Indians, took him in and let him be himself.
Even if sometimes he had clashes with certain people about that did well, helped us in the playoffs.
I don't see the issue.
If you you search on Twitter and you look at Trevor Bauer, it's quote well, it doesn't really miss a whole lot about Cleveland.
Is he supposed to come out with his new team and talk about how much he loves his old team? It's just it's done.
The man's a it's a story that it's silly.
I wish him luck with the Reds.
See an article from Let's go, Try it, you know, Is it our problem? Cleveland's problem? Or is it Trevor's problem wasn't getting the saying he wasn't getting the same information in Cleveland.
It's a relevant.
But it was a story today, so they want to touch on that.
And then, really, aside from that, you got the bower, um, the Bowers story, which I'm gonna write about that believe in bald, too, and which I'll throw some stuff in this chant lock here in case watching.
Curious, I'll throw in my Twitter and then I'll throw in, believe one ball.
If you're a frequent viewer, that of my streams of us were right about the Indians.
You're right about the Bauer stuff Based.
I mean, I think a lot of times stuff I read people don't like because there's just, you know, the Internet outrage machine where its power said this.
Yeah, I'm mad, too.
Yeah, you said that without really reading about it.
Just write something up on how you know we all need to calm down.
He's not on the team anymore.
E can't hurt us anymore. It's okay.
Well, for us was a workhorse for so alone.
Some people just don't like his personality.
So if once again, closing thought if you don't like Trevor Bauer, I don't see a wise worth getting worked up about one other thing on the top of my head to not Indians related.
But it quick aside, is that also on Twitter? Obviously, Andrew Luck.
The Indianapolis Colts retire this weekend.
Insane news only 29.
But he said, You know I'm injured.
It's not enjoying life.
I'm leaving football, Okay, I see no issue with that.
It's a almost a braver decision and continuing.
The plane knows its controversial fans were upset.
Demons may be upset, but he's leaving and you see these people saying like tons of people And you got booed at the stadium saying What he's spoiled here has got so much money, is he's not.
He's not asking people to feel sorry for him.
He was just giving a reason why he's retiring.
What's the issue with retired? I don't understand.
I mean, if you have a thought and you're watching, let me know the chap, I see no issue.
I don't understand why people think athletes.
Oh, then I think it's something where I've seen it in jobs I've had when people spend money.
If you're ownership to the products so that you know there's cold season ticket holder Andrew Luck retires, they feel betrayed.
If you can't walk, he's not enjoying life.
What is the matter? Trevor Bauer was in Cleveland, was having a bad time, goes to a new team.
They welcome him in with open arms.
Who cares why? Why should the regular person me us be upset that you know player speaks their mind or does what they want? Everyone should be doing what they want.
That's just silly to me.
I, I am didn't understand booing him.
I think a lot of the booing with Andrew luck.
It was probably due to people kind of bowling his decision, not him in general.
So I hope it's just horrible, especially with football to these guys.
They're you know, they're sacrificing their bodies for our entertainment.
He did. It is playing footballs whole life.
People forget about basic always on the minute the pros since 2012.
But how long was he playing footballs that can be played? Their College High school takes a toll.
Who cares? He's done.
Be happy for him, provided people with a lot of joy.
I mean, any athlete, they're sacrificing their time.
Sometimes mental health and well being toe provide entertainment for us, always facing pressure.
So it's We should leave these people out.
I get it is part of being a sports fan.
It's good to feel the connection of the team speech over back to the Indians this week in general.
I screamed a little earlier in the week during the mess Siri's.
They went two and four, which is not good.
What, you're trying to reach the playoffs.
I mean, they got swept against the Mets.
Wednesday's loss with a disaster Thursday's loss was a disaster.
With the several hours of rain delays you pick up too easy wins against the Royals Friday and Saturday.
Brand hand got two saves.
Get in front of a sellout crab.
Things were going well.
Okay, were beating teams.
We should then today of the pitching collapsed late in the game against one of the worst teams in all of baseball, said before.
You know you can't win every game, but it's not good to collapse against the Royals.
It's like giving up 10 of the Orioles, which the race and believe give up eight today.
So rough day for the Indians and raise against band teams.
But two and four in a week.
We have three games against the one of the worst teams in baseball.
Another quick story about the Mets.
Wells got my mind where the Indians tweeted that the Mets are a fringe playoff team.
Mets took offense to that.
The Mets aren't technically in a playoff team.
They're on the fringe of the playoff push.
That's all that was set.
I think there's a lot like Noah.
Syndergaard was like, Yeah, you think we're French Playoff T? Yeah, you are.
Um, that was a weird outrage thing, the Mets or two back of the wild card in the National League, of course.
And in their division, they're 12 back.
So right now they're a fringe playoff team.
Troop of the Indians helps, but that doesn't make a play off team yet, so that made no sense to me.
But the Indians this week, like I said before, got three against Detroit and then three against Tampa following week four against the White Sox.
Three against the Twins.
I can't go two and four again this week, especially with three against the terrible Tigers who are fighting to avoid 100 10 last season, Of course, three against the Rays.
So if you if you get swept by the Rays, I mean, let's say the Indians, the Rays standings.
Hell does it right now. You get sweat.
You're two and 1/2 behind the race in the wild card.
And that's not even counting what the A is doing.
That so And then if the Twins get, you know, several victories, Indians could realistically, at the end of next week, be down three or so games in the wild card and then I mean six or more in the division.
So it's kind of a make or break week.
Switch with from here is going down.
Um, it's the main injury.
Obviously, Carlos Carrasco hopefully could be bent and in him and Dan Otero targeting a September 1st return.
We'll see if Otero remains with the team once he's healthy again.
Crisco Waas throwing smoke today in Columbus, which was good to see.
He's already been dominating in Akron, reaching 97 on the gun, which is insane to me.
I don't know how he does it, but you got guys returning.
Bradley Zimmer is still, you know, working as we have actual see faction plays.
But the huge injury news, which happens every year, it seems Jose Ramirez is out.
We've lost crass co sales are Power Kluver.
This year, it's just Santana Santana.
A few years ago, it seems that any time the Indians have a good team, there's always a major injury about Boo Hoo.
The Yankees right now are dominating.
I think they said the stand today of it. 31.
I'll stints this year.
So everyone's dealing with you gotta fight through.
If you want to win a World Series, no one's ever gonna be healthy.
I mean, everyone is not gonna be healthy.
It's just how it is over the course of such a long season.
So the Indians get that often Monday, sitting a 6 76 and 55 taking on the 39 89 Detroit Tigers.
So the Tigers are approaching 100 losses.
Indians were trying to get to 80 wins.
It's gonna be, Ah, it's a high stress for fans because if you play band against the Tigers, how you're supposed to play well against the Rays or the Twins, So it's gonna be an interesting, interesting week for the Indians.
I've seen, you know, I'm getting when I say I've seen people say this is using social Media because that's where engaging certain viewpoints and it doesn't represent everyone out there.
But everyone's not texting me their opinions of the Indians.
That's where I get that, Um, premieres, you know, breaks that bone in his hand.
So this cat jumping on me right now and fix about in his hand people go, Okay, that's it.
That's the final straw for the Indians.
So, uh, years ago that you've got a few years ago when caressed about hurting Paul, Hogan said, This season's over.
Then I could name make the road serious.
They almost want it.
So what? Injury doesn't derail you. I mean, Jose Ramirez.
He's done a better as of late, but still he struggled all season as a whole.
So if you Chang and Mike Freeman could fight together to get somewhere close to a production that Ramirez is putting up.
It's not gonna derail the team.
I mean, I'm not being out there in general hurts.
But, you know, this year is slashing 2 54 3 25 4 63 Does he have 20 home runs? 33 double.
So you know, the power numbers aren't terrible.
Um, it sound like he was had, like, a 400 on base percentage or anything not to diminish his value to the team in general.
But losing him at this point right now isn't going to kill their chances.
So we'll take it for now.
Um, missing him in October.
And he struggled mightily in October.
Um, every October he's played in, so that's something.
Once again, we're not losing what door We're not losing, you know? Don't even think of one player that right now, I think when Dorian if he went out, he be the main one.
Thank you, kind of.
I heard the chances of the team, but don't have too much worry that Ramirez is absence is going to completely torpedo the season.
It's some media members and anxious fans in general may think it's really kind of wrapping up here.
Just want to do a quick champ.
Nothing season ending for the Indians this weekend.
Um, Chris was working his way back.
That's gonna be great.
Hey, Brad, Hand gets a few saves, I was saying earlier this week.
Maybe Carrasco slots, and it's the closer at some point, but I think Brad Hand is still fine.
He just had a few bad outings as over 30 saves on the air, Which, and so you look at the same stat.
He's still the closer, especially with someone like Terry Francona, who is the most loyal manager of all time.
He's not going to just give up on Brand Head just like that.
But standings lives this week for a few days ago.
If you go to espn dot com in there, huh? And I'll be standings.
There's a playoff, um, my percentage chance of making the playoffs.
A few days ago, the Indians were up towards like 98.
Now they're in 76.
6, while the Twins are at 98.9.
The interesting thing is so the Indians or 76.
6, the Razor 62.
4 and the A's or 56 two of those three teams are making the playoffs, so see how much stock you put into that percentage.
I mean, the Red Sox have a 6.
So, really, in American thing in general.
Astra's leading leading the division that you got raised, Indians A is on second fighting for two wild card spots, and the Red Sox are a long shot for the wild card.
But after that, Jays and Orioles are terrible.
When sex, royals and Tigers Terrible.
Rangers, Angels Mariners.
Not horrible, but a lot of plans contention.
Which is a shame because the Angels were fighting around 500.
Now they've lost five in a row.
Wasting my my trance problem.
National League Look.
Gonna clinched the NL West in two weeks.
Cardinals, Cubs and Brewers fighting for the Central and then the Braves, and that's fighting for the East.
But the wild card still alive, but the Mets, Phillies Nationals Cups Brewers.
That's really good, Um, the Giants, if they had a late surge, but the National League's little more competitive in terms of wild card I am Indians days raise Maybe Red Sox fighting for two spots of course, the Indians could still overtake the Twins.
I think they're going to you, but I've been saying that all season, and we've seen kind of the ebbs and flows.
If you think about that.
When they were down 11 games or 11 and 1/2 right now, they're sitting in three and 1/2.
So of course they were up there and first time for first.
But if you look at it over the course of the season, okay, we've knocked off eight games already.
It's gonna go up and down as the season goes.
There's no reason why, after already knocking off eight, we can't not about 33 and 1/2 for the rest of the season.
But once again, there is that initial panic of, well, season's over season's over.
We're not gonna wait like it's funny.
They're still over a month of baseball left just peeking at some of the Twins staffs here, too.
They're approaching 80 wins, and they play the White Sox this week so well, easier for them.
They have three against the White Sox and four against the Tigers.
So, of course, the Indians and Twins, all of six games against each other about the Twins have a much easier schedule.
Here's their seriously play.
White Sox, Tigers, Red Sox Indians.
So Red Sox Indians.
Too tough Siris.
Then they have the Nationals one than the Indians, but starting September 16 the end of season of series against the White Sox.
Royals, Tigers, Royals.
But the way baseball is, too, with the roster is expanding. In September.
Bad teams like the Royals and Tigers at the end of the season gonna live.
A lot of younger players get out there.
There's a very real possibility of the Twins win most of their final 10 games, or even the final 13 games after that Indian Siri's while the Indians have to end the season in Washington, do you see to take on the national so it's a little more difficult.
You're not gonna have a gimme Siri's.
I mean, Indians have tigers, raise white socks and then twins, and after that, they have to go out west for three against.
The Angels come all the way home to take on the Twins, and they have a Tiger Siri's, which is easy.
But then they have.
The Phillies were fighting for a wild card spot three against the White Sox actually easier and then ending against the Nationals.
So the Twins have a much easier schedule.
The Indians did take two or three from the Royals this weekend, but the way they lost today, you would have liked to have all three getting swept in New York.
You can't get swept by anyone now.
It's gonna She hurt your chances of locks, but she had the Twins rattle off, say, rack up like a 10 game win streak or something soon.
Not good at all.
But that's a lot of demon bloom.
Before I leave, I'm a throw in just for kicks, gigs.
In case you watch frequently and you want to throw a buck or two in my way, that'd be helpful.
You can also tip in here on sportscaster.
I know kind of a late Sunday night here, um, on a school night for some younger or in college.
Or you have to Sunday scary because work is tomorrow morning.
So I just want to throw that in there.
You know, I worked a lot this week, so I was catch them on my phone or sneaking in on my computer at work.
I didn't get to sit down as much as I like and analyzing this much.
But once you get him out, I'm not too frustrated or scared or concerned.
But to enforce. Not good.
I know that power rankings.
They're probably gonna drop of those but power rankings there.
Kind of meaningless.
So Not too bad there.
General. Log off here.
Approaching 27 minute mark.
Latest on. They got a lot of writing to d'oh.
So I'm actually gonna be back tomorrow for anyone Who cares? I'll be back in 12 hours from now.
Live streaming my Yahoo fantasy football draft, so that should be fun.
Um, have some coffee.
Have some hot takes.
I'm Indians off tomorrow.
