What's up, guys? Teddy Solomon here with Dunne's insiders.
I wanted to talk right now a little bit about a C C. Basketball.
We're still here in the off season, getting closer to the season, starting about two months away right now.
So get excited for a great season in college basketball.
But I thought it was about time I talk a little bit about the A C C.
Probably good biggest conference in college basketball.
Just given the prominence of Virginia win national championship.
Duke. Obviously huge program.
UNC and Massive program.
So many teams from top to bottom in that conference that air pretty Domine.
Um, I thought right now would be a good time for me to talk about what I expect from the A C C this upcoming season, because I honestly think it's a real toss up.
I think that just if you look at the top of the conference in years past, we've seen Virginia the top.
Virginia losing DeAndre Hunter losing Kyle Guy just I mean, it's just it's not looking good for them, quite honestly this season.
I don't see them finishing in the top five of the C C, which is a big, A bit of an upset, you know, Tiger room leaving the Kyle guy leaving the Andre Hunter.
It makes me think that they're not going to be able to come back losing three huge players for that program.
I think that Virginia's gonna struggle this year.
They're gonna have to figure out a way to rebuild.
They are the defending national champions, but I don't think they're gonna be able to do very well.
I've never been too high on Virginia, but now that they've lost the read such such talented players three extremely talented players they're going to struggle toe, maintain a spot near the top of the car.
Louisville is the favorite going into this A.
C C A. C C. Season.
Because Louisville is looking really strong this year on, a lot of people have put them in the top three with Kansas and Michigan State.
It's probably where I have them to have probably have them finishing third in the C.
You've got a really talented squad, a lot of great new players and I think Louisville is gonna be tough to beat this and the main reason why I think they're sitting there alone at the top is that Duke is also gonna be down.
While Duke always has a great recruiting class.
You can't just lose ion, lose R J.
Barrett, lose cam reddish and be able to come back.
And when the A C C It's just not gonna happen.
I still see Duke being in the top 15 or 20 in the nation, but I don't see them winning the SEC, and I don't see that making a deep run in the tournament.
I think Trey Jones is a great player, but I don't think he can carry their team, bring their team to the levels that Zion Williamson and R.
Barrett were able to carry them to be as those guys, obviously two of the top three picks in the draft.
So that's gonna be tough.
Uh, other spots in this conference.
I see Notre Dame going up a little bit in the conference.
I think they have a great chance to rebuild Uh, and I think, um, I'm really looking forward to seeing what they're able to do.
I think they could crap crack the top 77 or eight spots in the C C.
And I think they could even crack the top five.
Maybe it's a rebuilding year for them.
Last year was kind of a rebuilding year, and this year they're kind of back to prominence.
I would say I would say they're gonna be in the top half of the E C.
I see them finishing in the top seven, Uh, and I think they could be very good.
Florida State's another team that I think would be good.
I've always kind of liked Florida State.
I think that they have.
They get interesting players to go there, Some really underrated guys on.
I'm excited to see what what they're gonna bring this season.
Don't know a lot about their team coming up for this season, though, so we'll see what happens with Florida State.
Uh, I would say that elsewhere in the conference, Virginia Tech is going to struggle to come back from what happened last season, losing Buzz Williams, losing their head coach, also losing Kerry Blackshear, losing a bunch of players and their head coach, and really having to rebuild this season with a completely, completely brand new program.
Really, I see Virginia Tech finishing in the bottom three in the CC, even behind Pittsburgh.
So that's Ah, that's a brave call right there.
Given what Pittsburgh has done in the past couple of years, they've been a terrible A C C team.
They really haven't done anything.
But I see Pittsburgh finishing probably around 11th in the CC 10th or 11th.
That's kind of where I'm at right now with them.
I think that they're not as bad as Virginia Tech is going to be.
But you never know.
I really like Virginia Tech.
Last year, I thought they were gonna be do fake out really close Justin Robinson.
I was blown away by his passing ability, but I just don't think Virginia Tech can do it without their head coach and without and without a lot of important players this upcoming season.
So I think that they will be finishing at the bottom of the cop.
So overall, I would say Louisville's the favorite.
Virginia is gonna fall.
Notre Dame's gonna go up.
Virginia Tech's gonna fall.
Those are my calls.
Virginia schools not doing well this upcoming season in the A C.
C. So that's all I've got for you guys. Right now.
