Hello, everybody! And welcome into this afternoon's broadcast here on SportsCastr.
I am Samuel Reese.
Pleased to be coming to you live here on SportsCastr.
The stage is set on this a little bit of a dreary evening in London, England.
Chelsea hosting Sheffield United.
The Blues obviously coming off of a midweek win in the Champions League.
They've been in great form, led by their goalkeeper Eduard Mendy, who has been nothing short of spectacular.
Chelsea have had three clean sheet wins in a row.
As a matter of fact, Sheffield, meanwhile obviously they were impressive last year, but there has been some struggles this year for Sheffield United to begin the season.
Can they turn the ship around today against a very good Chelsea side? We'll find out.
It will no doubt be a difficult task.
But perhaps they're up for it because we've seen some crazy things in the Premier League.
You have to think though Chelsea are ready for this moment as they have a chance toe climb further up the table and what's really been a wild start to this Premier League season with with so much unpredictability and so we are underway from Stamford Bridge, London, England, the capital of England.
Chelsea in their blue kits, going from right to left, Sheffield in their red and white stripes going from left to right in this first half this fall into the hands of Ramsdell.
Let's get to the starting lineups quickly.
Uh, Chelsea in a 433 formation for this one.
In goal is Eduard Mendy, as I mentioned in the back bench.
Oh well, Thiago Silva, Kurt Zouma and Reese James in the midfield.
Mason Mount and go, Oh, can't and Matteo Kovacevic and then up top its team of earner, Tammy Abraham and Hakim's EOC.
Meanwhile, a chance here for Sheffield, this ball floated in by George Bal**** but cleared out by Chelsea Sheffield 352 formation.
It's Aaron Ramsdale, Ramsdale and Goal.
Excuse me at the back.
Its end of Stevens, John Egan and Chris Basham.
In the midfield, it is Max Lowe, John Lundstrom, Oliver Norwood, Sander Burge and George Bal****.
And then up top.
It's the front two of Ryan Brewster and David McGoldrick.
Sheffield, meanwhile, with an early opportunity, wasting no time at all.
The good opportunity as the cross was scented by Bal**** is eventually cleared out and Timo Verner was taken out to win the free kick.
Well, speaking of Normandy midweek against Ren in the Champions League, that that was Mendis former team, that he beat eso a special moment.
Thank you, Roger for joining the broadcast.
You're on SportsCastr.
It's match day eight in this Champions League season.
Ninth Premier League meeting all time between these two teams and what do you believe it? Chelsea three wins, Sheffield four and one draw.
Obviously, a lot of those meetings came way back way back in the day when Sheffield or in the Champions League a few decades ago, Chelsea are coming off of a win against Burnley.
They've gone five unbeaten.
Meanwhile, Sheffield coming off of two losses.
They've actually have gone winless in their last five, losing four out of the last five Onley losing one note to Man City last week.
Um, but ultimately it was another loss for them and they're trying to get back on track.
Chelsea, on the attack across from ZX blocked across from James Excuse me is blocked and a throwing one for Chelsea and the 12 combination.
But Kovacevich couldn't get it back to James.
Out of play for a Sheffield throwing just underway from Stamford Bridge.
Have you long everybody? 5 30 local time start in England lunchtime.
Start here in the US That's how to play for another Chelsea throwing off of McGoldrick.
Chelsea will move it across the back here, down one. Abraham.
He moves it out wide now on the ball of Hakim's, the exact the ball in Abraham to the back post and want to say by Ramsdale a good opportunity there for Ben Show.
Well, And then the second effort goes over the bar.
Big time saved by Aaron Ramsdale as he denied Ben Show well at the back post.
Abraham, on sides on the original ball, took it down quite nicely with the chest, then moved it out wide, where it was squared across and made its way all the way through the chill out.
Abraham flicked it towards that back post, and that's just a big time saved by Ram Stow.
It really is coming up huge for Sheffield, and that was nearly the breakthrough goal for Chelsea just five minutes in, and chances for both teams at both ends of the pitch content looking for Verner, throwing one by the blues back with Eduard Mendy with the pressure he has toe quickly.
Send it upfield.
Finds Verner back to content.
Angola content out wide for Reese James Long ball in the direction of chill.
Well, now it's in the midfield with Mount who went down no foul called as he was contested by Sandor Burge.
Chelsea wins it back, though.
Verner on the ball mount back to Verner.
Now it's Angola content.
Who finds Chicago? Silva.
Nice first touch.
Baichu Well, back to mount and off sides is called against Ben Show.
Well, well, yes, Joel is the left pack, but he's obviously a player, is not afraid to get forward.
And we've seen that here in the first six minutes.
Early on, it's match Day eight.
In the Premier League season, Ramsdale puts it in play for Sheffield, well beyond midfield.
It goes collision there between teammates.
Now it's moving in the midfield for Oliver Norwood of Sheffield Pass back from Max slow and throwing one by Sheffield.
Thank you, Jordan for joining the broadcast.
I appreciate that it's the Premier League live on SportsCastr long ball forward show while racing back the shot takes a deflection wide and early on.
Sheffield playing with some confidence.
It's a great long ball and show well couldn't quite deal with it and George Bal**** ended up having quite the opportunity.
So although it looks like yeah indeed, it did take a deflection off of Chila, who got back just in the nick of time.
So a corner kick early on for the Blades and it will be taken by Oliver Norwood.
Heading it right back towards the corner flag was Thiago Silva, So another corner kick Norwood will try again.
The outswinger is a better service this time out to the edge of the area.
Moved out wide for Norwood through now to flourish and it's another corner as this cross is deflected out of play.
Sheffield Plate quick and short George Bal**** making the run in the square ball aimed towards the back post and it's redirected in Sheffield United have the breakthrough goal.
It's David McGoldrick who makes a Chelsea nil Sheffield one, just nine minutes in at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea got caught sleeping a bit.
They decided to play the corner kick very quickly.
It was played short.
Baldock played it back for Norwich.
Nor would the one time passed back to Bal**** in the square.
Ball was a great one, and the shot sent in by Burge, redirected by McGoldrick, who just got the back of his right foot on that one and whether he was trying to or not placed that quite perfectly.
And there was no way Edouard Mendy was getting to it.
And after three clean sheets for Mendy and this Chelsea team, they have conceded just nine minutes in the Sheffield United.
And let's see what the response is.
The ninth minute goal from McGoldrick, his second of the Premier League season.
Thank you for the tip, Jordan much appreciate it, and definitely an intriguing start to this one.
Well, Sheffield did start confidently as this through, ball is cut out.
Mount had it for a moment, but it will be cleared out along the sideline for Chelsea.
Throwing back there was John Egan for the Blades.
Well, we'll take the throwing and more sloppy play from the Blues as it goes straight back out of bounds.
Well, 10 minutes in its Chelsea nil, Sheffield one McGoldrick has four career Premier League goals in three of them have been against Chelsea Now for whatever reason, he tends to do well against Chelsea as McGoldrick goes down and contact called for the foul.
So free kick for Sheffield and want to start to this game.
It's a good ball in.
But Mendis there for for the save as he was alert off his line very quickly.
It made it look easy at the end show.
Well goes back to Tiago.
Silva played across the back.
Kurt Zouma over to reach James.
Here's a keen Zeke.
No Christian Pulisic.
Unfortunately, he suffered another injury last week last weekend in their last Champions League game.
This is a good ball.
Forward Timo Verner flicks it on towards the back post.
A bouncing ball now Zach looking for amount.
Getting a foot on that was into Stephen's, but it's kept alive by Chelsea James to Kovacevic, who lost it for a moment.
Back out to the midfield with Kurt Zouma, Thiago now back for Mendy and Golo Kante.
Kurt Zouma with the long diagonal ball.
Heather one by George Bal**** throwing for Chelsea.
Chelsea, led by Frank Lampard.
Sheffield managed by Chris Wilder Here is Tammy Abraham for Chelsea Abraham with a shot that wasn't quite threatening to run.
Ramsdale didn't quite place that one where he wanted to.
That's at least better from Chelsea.
Little scissors move, but Ram still didn't have to do much to make what was a comfortable safe.
Thank you, Beth, for joining the broadcast Premier League action here on this Saturday afternoon in the US Saturday evening in England.
5 30 local time Start.
Chelsea trailing one.
New here on SportsCastr.
A surprise start to this game.
Ah, goal from David McGoldrick in the ninth minute.
So has given us the surprise scoreline in the early stages of this one.
Here is Tammy Abraham, and they say it's off of him.
Sheffield throwing Abraham clearly not pleased with the call, but yeah, going back to the McGoldrick goal about five minutes ago, Sheffield, they just got Chelsea off guard.
They took the corner kick very quickly.
Chelsea weren't preparing, uh, weren't well, they were preparing.
They were setting up for the corner kick, but they weren't expecting Sheffield to take it so quickly.
And then they were all out of sorts and Sheffield capitalized and credit has to be given to Sheffield.
They've come out with the right mindset.
Then she'll well to Mason Mount acted.
She'll? Well, now we'll switch fields all the way to reach James.
Zeke Conte back to the other side with mountain chill Weld amount.
They'll find Kurt Zouma James.
We'll switch the point of attack again.
Bentiu Well, square ball for James.
Back to content.
A wide mountain at the edge of the area will go for goal, trying to curl that one towards the back post.
But Ramsdale, able to make the easy save off the hop quarter hour in its Chelsea nil.
Sheffield one in matched a eight of the 2020 20 one Premier League season.
This punk well across midfield control now by a team of earner.
Back for chill, well flicked on by McGoldrick.
See still a bouncing ball here in the midfield, and Zach gets for all intensive purposes.
He does win a free kick.
Two games already in the books earlier.
I'll tell you all about them at halftime of this one, so stick around for that very, very interesting results earlier in the day, that's for sure.
And then one game later on, we've got four more tomorrow.
It's just Ah, fantastic weekend of Premier League action, obviously the big game of the weekend Man City and Liverpool That will be tomorrow morning here in the US here is N Golo Kante for Chelsea content now out wide for Thiago Silva.
Verner back for Tiago.
Yeah, into space, he'll find Reese. James.
Here is Hakim's Eick ball to the back post.
Verner trying to head it back to chew well and show while keeps it alive.
Now it's content looking for options.
Gets a to Mason Mountain Mount will switch fields all the way out wide it goes.
James cuts it onto his left foot.
Now place it short.
Zach tryingto send that one into the back post, but it went wide of the goal.
It looked like he was trying to seek out Team Over in ER, the final execution just hasn't quite been there so far for Chelsea in in Sheffield.
Give them credit.
They've been really organized on defense, holding their line, not making it easy whatsoever for Chelsea to create opportunities so far.
18 minutes in Thiago to content now it's out wide for chill.
Well, move through the midfield, Zeke.
Back to contact.
How wide? Now it's Reese James.
With space down the right hand side, you'll find Zeke and another wasted ball.
You can see what the idea waas from the Algerian, but he's clearly frustrated with himself.
He's had a couple of those now where he's tryingto play that diagonal ball.
It's just put too much pace on it, giving his teammates no chance whatsoever.
So a goal kick for Sheffield, as I mentioned Sheffield, haven't been good so far this season.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are are are doing well as of late Sheffield, one of three clubs without a win in the Premier League this season, so that that tells it all right there.
Their struggles have been riel Sheffield, and that's why it is surprising how this game is played out through 20 minutes.
The visitors, with a one nil lead over a heavily favored Chelsea side throwing now for the Blades, moved back to the midfield with Chris Basham.
Now it's John Egan.
You can under some pressure, we'll move it back for and the Stevens now to the keeper.
Ramsdale, under a bit of pressure.
He's forced to play it out of bounds.
Throwing for Chelsea right around midfield here is Ben.
Show up, Thiago.
We'll bounce down So towards Matteo Kovacevic, they slide tackle there from Kurt Zouma to deny Sheffield of a possible counterattack during the midway point of the first half.
It's Chelsea nil.
Sheffield want third game of the day in the Premier League.
Here's George Ball Doc, so that why it goes for standard Bourj urge now to McGoldrick.
The gold score early on couldn't quite get it through the ball, Doc, but Sheffield have it back.
And what a strike that Waas by Max Slow, but no problem for Edouard Mendy.
Strike had quite a bit of power, but Mandy was right there to make the safe.
Here's Ben Show up show a wide as he finds Reach James one touch pass from Abraham's intercepted risky ball back.
But coming in was John Egan to clear it out.
Now it's Mendy who will leave it for Tiago show well for Tiago now in Zuma.
So James into Kovacevich.
A quarter through this one, it's Sheffield leading Chelsea one to nothing Greece.
James will play it out.
Why Long ball forward Kovacevic cuts it back.
Here's Abraham and there's equalizer.
It bounced nicely, Thio Abraham, who made no mistake, and Chelsea have leveled it up at Stanford Bridge.
It's 11 23 minutes in more of a relief for Chelsea that they finally got that goal that they've been looking for for a while now.
A great cut back to Kovacevich and Abraham really didn't hit all that cleanly.
But as I said, it took a nice bounce for him.
He didn't miss hit it, but nonetheless the bounce really curl that ball to the far post, able to get it by Ramsdale anyway, and Abraham will take it.
It's Chelsea one, Sheffield one from the Bridge.
So a 23rd minute strike because level things up, second goal of the season for Tammy Abraham.
So and now let's see if this really swings the momentum on the Chelsea side or if Sheffield will go unaffected after that equalizer.
See, there's a free kick in a dangerous position for Sheffield United here.
They could really make something of it.
It'll be all over Norway to take hi boot there as Greece James so complete to the face that appeared free kick going out for Chelsea.
So not quite what Sheffield we're looking for on that free kick Yours Mason Mountain.
Out of play for Chelsea throwing And maybe that goal is what Really weeks Chelsea up.
We shall see a goal apiece for both sides.
25 minutes sent.
See, here is Tiago, you know.
So then show well, the long ball here It's one backed by Mason.
Mount Mount Lost it, though.
Taken away for a moment by Berga, one backed by the Blues, Mount Leconte and Gold, Conte will switch fields now.
Why'd it goes for Reach? James James Kovacevich.
Now it's Hakim. Zack.
Chelsea will slow it down and move back to the midfield.
Zuma, James, Chelsea knocking it around here, Controlling the possession trying to find their first lead of the evening.
Now moved out wide.
Nice first touch from James Baldwin to the New York Post sent out by Egon, but Chelsea back with it.
Here is Angola, content wide to James.
A nice ball through Kovacevich, though closed down and its stolen by end of Stevens.
George Baldock the long ball through trying to seek out Berga, but Tiago was back in time.
Now it's Tiago again across the back to Kurt Zouma.
Yeah, show all the Mason Mount's reminder that tonight at seven Eastern time, it's perhaps the biggest college football game of the season.
One. Clemson takes on note.
Notre Dame from South Bend, Indiana.
What a big game that is tonight, of course.
Clemson without Trevor Lawrence.
Instead, it will be D J.
Why now does EAEC under the possession 70 to 30% in favor of Chelsea? The total passes to, 18 85 the past accuracy 85 to 65% in favor of the Blues as well.
So possession wise.
Yes, Chelsea have been dominating, but Chelsea haven't had all that many chances other than that goal and that Ben show well, opportunity early on.
But they need Thio make more out of the out of the sustained possession they've had through the first half hour or so burner into Abraham, and he gave it away Steel by McGoldrick.
Sure hold on the possession a bit too long that moves it back for Basham all the way to the keep around Ramsdale.
Ramsdale, though with an errand ball out wide.
One by Kovacevich, who went down in a fell is called against Max.
Slow 30 minute mark, 11 between Chelsea and Sheffield.
It's the Premier League live on SportsCastr, a season that's been full of surprises early on.
Been a very unpredictable start.
Uh, the way things have gone so far in this Premier League season.
Zia and James both on the ball.
It looks like James will step off and it will be easy act to deliver the cross.
It goes in and the same forced upon.
And Verner has hit the bar Chelsea that close to a second goal.
Wow! Now the diagonal ball headed back by McGoldrick.
Ramsdale. Quick to it.
I was extraordinary there.
Somehow, some way.
The delivery from James went all the way through everyone, and Ram still had to make a statement on the rebound.
Verner hit the bar.
I'm sorry, the delivery from Zach and just a crazy opportunity.
And somehow, some way Verner wasn't able to finish on the rebounds.
A wild sequence there, but it remains 11 Now it's moved out wide show well, heads it out of play for a Sheffield throwing now Sheffield, perhaps with an opportunity, this ball floated in, but many grabs that one out of the air and quickly rolls it ahead for Hakim's IAC.
Here comes Hakim.
Sick couldn't quite get it to Mason Mount on the left hand side.
That pass stolen.
Now here comes Sheffield.
The long ball ahead slipping.
Was Ryan Brewster back onto his feet in possession, Brewster to McGoldrick, and the flag has gone up.
Or has it? No, Apparently not.
So, yeah, it did.
Offside's is the call.
For a moment there, it appeared as though they had played on and the flag was kept down.
But it was indeed offsides against McGoldrick.
This game really starting to open up.
Very fast paced, last few minutes you're has been show.
Well, who finds Mason Mount's Greece James to Kurt Zouma.
A dozen minutes until we reach stoppage time in the first half.
Mount all the way out to the right side with Zeke.
This ball in is carried out of play by Ramsdale, who had the play that ball in the ends, although, and I suppose that ball was curling in towards the frame of gold and so a corner kick is won by Chelsea.
Let's see what they can do with it.
It will be played short and now this is into the back post and wanna finish.
Well, who's put Chelsea in the lead? Such a tough angle but show well, made it look easy.
It's Chelsea to Sheffield one.
The assist from Hakim Zack.
It's to new acquisitions this season for Chelsea that link up for the goal Zach acquired from my ex and show out from Leicester City.
Just a brilliant ball from Zach and then from such a tight angle at the back post.
Somehow some way chill well was ableto to put that one in and I think it actually went off the thigh of chill.
Well, wherever it did hit show out, he found the back of the net and that's all that matters for Chelsea as they have taken the lead to unanswered goals.
It's 21 after that 34th medical from showing his second of the Premier League season.
So Chelsea have turned around this first half as we were, you know, expecting them to Dio now.
With 10 minutes to go in the half Sheffield have some work to dio out wide with George Ball Doc, but that cross is blocked.
Throwing for the Blades.
It's all the way back with Mason.
Mount plays it out for Sheffield, throwing contact with the pressure, another throwing for Sheffield United once again to be taken by ball.
Duck Runner keeps it in play, Not wins it for Chelsea.
Let go by Abraham to Verner and foul against the Blades as Verner was taken down.
And that will warrant a yellow card.
So first booking of the game and it goes to John Egan.
37 minutes in Chelsea to Sheffield one to score from the nation's capital Wonder in England's The location for this one show well, finds Tiago a reminder that the weekend of Premier League action on Lee gets better Man City Liverpool in the marquee matchup and matched a tomorrow 11:30 a.
m. Eastern time.
It will simply be a must watch encounter between the last two champions of England.
Here's Kovacevich Kovacevich enthusiastic.
They'll find James a Y back.
It goes to Zack.
You're now Mason Mount's Mount Now, with acceleration wins, the corner kick played over the in line by Sandor Berga.
Chelsea looking for gold number three Now second corner of the game for Chelsea numbers in the box for the home team.
Z AK will send it in on the left footed outswinger.
It's a good service headed up by chill.
Well, Zuma got to it now back to chill well on what to say made.
Aaron Ramsdale had to stretch out to send it wide.
It was nearly a second goal for Ben.
Show out, mind you took a slight deflection that one was aiming for that bottom right corner.
Ramsdale had to make a play on it and he did another corner kick, this time from the other side for Chelsea, taken by Mount, who plays it short.
Now it's team over in ER to the end line into Abraham, who lays it back, and now the blast from Zach is blocked, actually, midfield with contact.
Just a great weekend of sports all around.
The Breeder's Cup from King Land in Lexington, Kentucky, continuing today actually lived in that Lexington, Kentucky, for two years and I was fortunate enough.
Thio, go to Keeneland.
Cool place, Lexington, Kentucky, the horse capital of the world Yeah, I just kind of a a goal.
You don't see too often that second one from Chelsea, where from such a tight angle it seemed like it was impossible.
That show, well, was was gonna was gonna find the back of the net.
But somehow some way office thigh, he was ableto slip it by Ramsdale.
That's what's, uh, Put Chelsea in the lead to one the score as we approach halftime about five minutes to go in the opening 45 12 ZX back to James.
Nice clean slide tackle from Max low over the sideline for a Chelsea throwing.
See you? Yes, so so Mandy to Tiago That works out wide with Ben. Show up.
So I'll go under a bit of pressure.
Moves without y to show.
Well, Thiago will send it to the midfield but couldn't connect with Mt.
Should I feel looking to capitalize? The original pests from Lundstrom was deflected.
Now this ball popped up and taken down by contrary, and you cannot keep it over.
Keep it from going over the end line, and so a corner kick is one by Sheffield United.
A chance for an equalizer.
Sheffield's first goal came on the corner.
We'll see if they can perhaps do it again.
It'll be an in swinger from Oliver Norwood and it's through the six yard box.
Got by everyone.
It will now be tracked down by Reese.
James plays it down the sideline and on it for Sheffield is George Baldock diagonal ball.
Now contents there for Chelsea and now mount in the battle for it.
One backed by Sheffield United.
Sheffield getting back some life here in the late stages of the first half, throwing one by Chris Basham.
Another throwing after that goes off of earner two minutes until we reach stoppage time here is now a chance.
Sean launched room with the opportunity.
Mendy couldn't save it cleanly at first, but it was quickly on his rebounds to prevent a second opportunities.
George Ball Doc was in the area, Yeah, going back to that corner kick not too long ago from Sheffield.
It just went right across the six yard box.
Nobody was able to get on the end of it for Sheffield Coming up.
It is Thehuffingtonpost.
I'm report. Stay tuned for that.
It's coming up next.
I'll recap the two earlier games in the day and look ahead to what's on tap for the rest of the weekend and what's been a great weekend in the primer league so far and still some great matches to look forward to later on today and then tomorrow show well now on the ball for Chelsea back it goes to Tiago.
Here is team a burner burner to Tiago Silva.
Now Conte will move it into Zuma.
Reach James back for Thiago Silva.
Now it's Mason Mount's half a minute and so we reach stoppage time.
Chelsea seem very comfortable with the position they're in up by a goal.
They'd be fine going into the half time break with the score line just as it is.
Or at least they're indicating.
So by the way, they're just holding onto possession.
Maybe they can create one last chance or the half comes to an end as we are into stoppage time.
Sheffield, when it back two minutes of stoppage time here in this first half, then show well with it for Chelsea.
Yeah, Now Mount back to Tiago.
Thiago out wide.
Here's Reece, James James, the long ball to Zeke and Abraham doing all he could to get to that pass, unable to do so.
Here come the Blades.
Nice cut inside by George Baldock To the midfield, it goes.
Norwood will move it out to the left hand side.
Here's Norwood Norwood to Egon.
Final minute of the first half year on SportsCastr from Stamford Bridge in London, England.
So one stream out wide.
Now McGoldrick moves it back.
Max low to Stevens.
Back to low, Sheffield just holding onto possession at the moment.
Get into McGoldrick.
Final half minute.
Chelsea to Sheffield one to score.
So as Ramsdell will send it well across midfield here, it's controlled by Tiago.
We'll reverse to Edward Mendy Mendy to mount who flicks it on towards Abraham, and that will do it for the first half.
So after 45 minutes, it's Chelsea to Sheffield United. One.
Sheffield got off to a surprise good start with a goal from a golden in the ninth minute, but Abraham tied it in the 23rd show.
I'll put Chelsea in the lead in the 34th.
If this result holds, Chelsea would move up to third place on 15 points in.
Sheffield would remain on the bottom at the bottom of the league, I should say on just a single point.
Big second half coming up on the other side of the break.
The halftime report.
It's the Premier League live on SportsCastr Chelsea to Sheffield one at halftime.
Hello, everybody! And welcome into the halftime report, Chelsea leading Sheffield United at the break by a score of 21 So when the first half that was really Sheffield got off to a great start, but the response from Chelsea would be a good one.
Let's roll over the first half highlight, shall we? Just nine minutes in And it would be Sheffield who got the lead who, coming into this game scored only three goals on the season, which was tied for the fewest in the Premier League.
It would be redirected at the edge of the six yard box by McGoldrick, which gave many no chance whatsoever.
That would make it one nil Sheffield.
But Chelsea would eventually get the response.
They were looking for link up play between Matteo Kovacevich and Tammy Abraham.
Abraham really didn't didn't strike it cleanly, but it took a fortunate bounce for him curling into that far post that would make it 11 And then, in the 31st minute off of a corner kick, team of earner would hit the crossbar.
Really unlucky that that wasn't the second goal for Chelsea, but they would shortly thereafter in the 34th minute.
Great ball in from Hakim's EOC and from an extremely tight angle.
Somehow, some way it will be finished by the thigh of Bentiu.
Well, as he slipped it by Aaron Ramsdale.
95 The score to one.
Chelsea in the lead at the break.
This is, you know, it's been interesting because the game has kind of been off and on.
At times it's opened up a bit, and other times it's, you know, really been Ah, slow game with, you know, Chelsea just holding on possession.
Not much going on, but there have been chances.
The shots on goal, 53 you know, after Sheffield's scored that early goal, it wasn't really a surprise that Chelsea eventually responded.
That's what we're expecting to Dio.
It was only a matter of if they could get that breakthrough goal, and once they did, they got that second goal. Now in the lead.
I think Chelsea are in a good position.
Sheffield clearly aren't going away.
They know you know.
Even though it's the early stages of the season, they know how important this game is.
You do not want to be battling near the bottom of the table throughout the season.
That's just Ah grueling battle that you do not want to deal with.
And they're currently at the bottom of the league.
Just one single point through the first seven games and struggle has been real for Sheffield.
Even if they can sal***e a point against a solid Chelsea side, that would be huge for them.
It's just a matter of whether or not they will be able.
I'm not so sure coming up.
Next, I'll go over Highlights from the earlier action in the Premier League.
Don't miss that.
There were plenty of goals that's next on the halftime report.
Welcome back into the halftime report.
Let's go over the highlights from earlier in the day.
First game of the day was Everton and Manchester United.
Everton did take a one nil lead early on, but Bruno Fernandez would get the equalizer in about the 24th minute to make it 11 and many night wouldn't look back with a 31 victory.
Then it was Crystal Palace taking on leads.
Leads led one nil early on and then it would be 41 Palace in the end.
Uh, really surprising result.
Crystal Palace Defeating, uh, leads 41 Yesterday there were two games Brighton Nil, Burnley No Southampton defeating Newcastle two nil at three o'clock later.
Today it's west, him against Pullman.
And tomorrow, four games West Brum taught them, kicks it off, Leicester taking on wolves as well.
And then the big one Man United taking on Sorry.
Excuse me, Man City taking on Liverpool and ****nal being action later in the day.
Those are your highlights from earlier in the day and what to look forward to for the rest of the weekend in the Premier League before the international break next week.
Coming up next second half action.
Back out to Stamford Bridge.

But the focus right now is on the second half between Chelsea and Sheffield, which is coming up next to one Chelsea in the lead at the break.
Second half action on the other side, stay tuned 45 minutes to play after the break.
Welcome back, everybody.
We're set to go for the second half between Chelsea and Sheffield, a 21 lead for the home side at Stanford Bridge in London, England, thanks everyone for being a part of the broadcast.
Sheffield got the lead nine minutes in, but Chelsea have scored two cents.
Looking to move up to third place in the table, see if they can do so here with a solid second half performance as both teams are on the pitch ready to go for the final 45 minutes, It will now be Chelsea going from left to right.
Sheffield rightto left Just both teams switch sides for the 2nd 45 minutes.
Sheffield, obviously with a horrible start to the season looking to turn it around only one point so far sitting at the bottom of the league.
We'll see what kind of second half they can put together.
We're ready to go final 45 minutes from Stanford Bread.
Sheffield kick it off to one lead for Chelsea.
No substitution is made at the break as contact comes up with the steal for Chelsea.
Now it's up to Timo Verner.
Berners Pass off the mark to Tammy Abraham, taken back by Sheffield and John Lundstrom wins a free kick foul committed by Matteo Kovacevich.
Is that long ball? Too far ahead of McGoldrick and a goal kick for Chelsea.
Chelsea coming off What was a very complete performance last weekend in their last Premier League game against Burnley and you want you want ahead into the international break with a good taste in your mouth, that's for sure.
Uh, if you're Chelsea, if you're any team, really, Uh, because the next primarily game for all of these teams won't be for another two weeks, so and this is a mistake in the back.
Kovacevic, looking to capitalize and coming in with a sliding challenge, was Chris Basham.
What a goal saving slide tackle.
It was from Basham.
It is a corner kick coming up for Chelsea.
It was a mistake by Stevens as the header went right to Kovacevich in.
Kovacevic was looking to play it across thought perhaps he might have had his eyes for gold, but no, he was looking for the unselfish play tryingto squared across to his teammate.
But Basham came in to prevent that from happening.
You're now comes the corner kick from Mason Mount.
Yeah, to the near post, it's cleared out.
Jonathan Mosque, by the way, is the referee this evening.
Chelsea and Blue Sheffield in red and white.
And here comes Sheffield, all by himself.
It's John Lundstrom down the left wing.
Lundstrom gets support.
Now it's Lo with the ball towards the penalty spot.
Zuma sends it out.
Verner couldn't keep it, although a nice effort there as Kovacevic wins it back.
Advantage played as Chelsea are still in possession now.
Zeke into Abraham, couldn't take that one down with the chest, although it's one back by and go low content in the midfield.
Kovacevich now moves it out wide Mount to contact Al Kovacevic to James gets the return ball in the midfield, overstretched amounts three minutes into the second half, but already you can tell both teams playing with emergency here.
Chelsea wanna put this game out of reach a soon as possible for Sheffield, but they still have a lot of work if they want to do that and obviously Sheffield trying to get back level as soon as possible.
James finds content only without wide.
Now it's Mason Mount's.
Conte finds James Z X Pass nearly stolen by Max Alot, but one backed by the Blues and Chelsea win a free kick.
Yeah, that could that could have been a yellow really on Max Low for that clumsy challenge.
No booking, though.
This ball is lofted in, cleared out to the edge of the 18, where it sent further upfield.
By Ryan Brewster.
Chelsea habit though once again, Conte will find mount.
Now it's Verner back to bend show up five minutes into the second half to one Chelsea leading Sheffield in the Premier League.
Here is N Golo Kante.
Once again, you'll find Tiago Thiago, now out wide for chill well, that pasts stolen away by George Ball Doc in a throwing one by Sheffield Sheffield Or sorry Tiago wanna staggering 18 trophies in his long spell with P S G, obviously now part of Chelsea.
After making the move in the summer bouncing ball now played over to reach James James to Zuma and now it's Kobe Church forward.
He finds team over in ER.
Verner into Abraham.
Abraham on the turn, was closed down now a foul against Zuma.
Free kick one by Sheffield Brewster.
The one who went down Just a bit of a careless foul there from Kurt Zouma.
Just waiting for that contact.
But Sheffield send it all the way over the end line and give it right back to Chelsea.
Show well, back for Tiago.
Now it's a daughter, Mandy for Kurt Zouma.
A one goal lead for Chelsea.
That ball forward cut out by Sheffield.
Given away, though by McGoldrick.
And that ball hit the referee.
But Chelsea retains possession.
Zuma finds content out wide.
Mount has to chase it down, keeps it in play.
And now Azuma back for Mendy.
Well, speaking of Mendy, we knew he would have an impact.
You know, we we knew really anyone that Chelsea God and goal would be an upgrade from Kappa Arreaza Malaga.
Because the struggles we're very rial for Kepa.
He just lost all confidence it appeared.
But you know, at least I myself didn't see many playing this well right away for Chelsea.
He's been spectacular for Chelsea ever since they got him here.
Now is Kurt Zouma.
They'll get it to reach James can't back to James Zuma.
Across the back here is sick Conte a wide Mason Mount's Therese James next low, applying the pressure on him.
Now it's Tiago Verner out wide on the ball.
Bentiu Well, former Leicester City defender.
Now it's the EC.
Finds James James the ball in how it goes back to Zeke Z.
X Thought about the shot.
Can't back to the EC now.
L finds Kovacevich.
Here's Mason Mount.
10 minutes gone in the second half, Chelsea looking for a two goal lead.
Kovacevich to Abraham.
Abraham under pressure, gets it back to mount, his shot blocked.
And now McGoldrick well.
Spring it forward the Brewster.
But back there is Thiago Silva for Chelsea, who finds Edouard Mendy.
Now it's Reese change to the middle of the park.
Golo Kante for Matteo Kovacevich.
More of the same in the second half, compared to the first half.
Look at Chelsea's attacking lanes today they've been on the left side of the pitch for 29% of the time in the center of the field for 13% and on the right for 58%.
Here's Mount in new Abraham, who lays it for Zack.
Zack The strike.
And it's headed over.
What a play that waas John Egan to the rescue for Sheffield United as EEOC was trying to seek out that top left corner, and it sure was curling in that direction, trying to bend that to the top corner, and it sure was looking promising until Aegon came into head it over.
It is a corner kick here for Chelsea, and it will be Hakim Zack, who takes it fifth corner for Chelsea tonight.
It's a left footed outswinger, good looking ball, but Sheffield trying to clear it, goes right back into the box.
Kobe Church to Abraham and in the way, the shot was George Baldock, another ball in Abraham's second chance, blocked again and Sheffield finally clear.
Wow, multiple opportunities for Chelsea in the box, a man down.
Now, for Sheffield in particular, it was Tammy Abraham who had multiple chances for his second goal of the evening.
So find the back of the net.
Yeah, The original block was from Egan.
And then on the second attempt, I believe it was Stevens.
No, it was actually.
Yeah, it might have been Stevens, I believe. Yeah.
And the Stevens use down for Sheffield? Yeah.
On the follow through from Abraham Stevens.
No doubt feeling the after effects.
He'll limp off to the sideline.
Looks like he'll be able to continue.
We'll just have a bruise tomorrow morning. Most likely.
Or maybe it a substitution will have to occur.
McBurney Sharp, Burke, Jaggi, Elka, Robinson and Osborne.
The substitutes available for Sheffield United.
So Stevens will stretch out on the sideline and see if he'll be able to continue.
Phil Jaggi, Elka.
Former Everton man, as I just mentioned, is a substitute available? Yep, Stephens is back out there, so he's able to continue.
But we may see substitution occur shortly from Chris Wilder to try toe change things up.
Sheffield trailed by two goals to one as we approach the hour mark, throwing one by reach James taken by Isaac all the way back with the dwarf Mandy.
Here is Thiago Silva.
Now why do reach James Kovacevich the one to it? Zack Covic.
It's now out wide.
There's been chill well ahead to Mason Mount's Mount back to Ben Show.
Well, we've reached the hour Mark Khalfan our remains from Stamford Bridge.
Here's Eick out.
Lied for James James onto his left foot.
His strike is blocked and now cleared out by Sheffield at the to the midfield by McGoldrick, Santiago will play it back to Mendy.
How wide with Kovacevich, I was lost by Isaac in possession.
Stevens now moved all the way back for Ramsdale.
Chelsea have done well in the midfield.
It definitely feels like they're in control of the game, but they only lead by a goal this game, far from over here.
In the 62nd minute, Kovacevich lost it.
And now here comes Sheffield.
Forward Lundstrom couldn't get it to McGoldrick and a free kick won by Chelsea.
Perhaps the frustration starting to kick in for Sheffield really haven't been able to do much in possession in the second half Thus far.
Men do not challenged all that much.
Now, here comes a change from Chris Wilder.
We'll see Osborne coming for Norwood and also make Bernie comes in Brewster out.
So a double change made by Chris Wilder and we'll see if the's substitutes could make an impact for Sheffield United here in the second half.
That was nearly stolen by Abraham but one back by John Lundstrom.
You're a Sander Berga, but I lost it.
Here come Chelsea, see Zeke, who goes down and a free kick.
One burger committing the foul.
And it's the promising position here.
This free kick for Chelsea.
See what they can make of it, So we'll see who will take it as well as Ramsdale sets up his wall looks like, Wow, it'll be either Zach, James or amount all under the ball, ready for the whistle.
It will be James who goes for gold save made by Ramsdale.
It's now Verner who let it go for a throwing your the corner flag.
Well, that ball had plenty of pace under it from James.
He got it over the wall, trying toe, dip it down to the top left corner.
Ramsdell able to make the save, though for Sheffield and keep it a one goal deficit.
I should say Zuma now to reach James well now go back to Zuma.
Here is Edouard Mindy.
Yeah, controlled by content.
Ah! Wide for Zeke.
I stop and start.
Move Z jak blowing right by Osborne tryingto seek out Matteo Kovacevic But too much traffic through the middle.
25 minutes remain in this one from Stanford Bridge.
So throwing to Kurt Zouma Mendy back to Zuma.
Zuma with the ball forward.
Sheffield just one point through their opening seven Premier League matches tied for the worst league start in club history and they're in danger of making it one point through eight matches.
If this result holds true, here is EAEC edge of the area and the shot just wide a chance there from Matteo Kovacevic.
It wasn't too far off, was he? There was not that bad of an effort, but once again it stays to one as much as Chelsea have dominated.
It's still a one goal game at the end of the day, so Sheffield will still feel like they have a fighting chance.
Here is Kovacevich through ball into the pathway of team of earner Verner to the end line.
This crosses blocked out for a throwing about three quarters through this game, although apparently deflected back off of earner because they've given the throw into Sheffield.
Actually, here's Angola contact so sliding in the cutout that past governor was Chris Basham.
Joel will throw it in back for Thiago Silva.
Now here is Mendy in possession for the Blues, Zuma to Conte, Sheffield looking to apply some pressure and they've come up with the steal here.
Maybe a chance for the Blades.
No problem for Edward Mandy.
No, quickly throw it downfield to bend show.
Well, maybe this could create an opportunity for Chelsea.
Chill well out wide, taking down nicely by Hakim Zeke Z jak through to the edge of the area, and that shot for amount was blocked and now is tracked down by Reese James, who gave it away to McGoldrick.
Here is Berga or go out wide and in space.
It's Baldock, all that closed down by mounts.
Here's Burger again.
I'll find John Egan Stevens back to the keeper.
Ramsdale Ramsdale! The ball forward.
Now Sheffield have numbers on the attack.
So Lundstrom Conte there for Chelsea, throwing for Sheffield United as we approach minutes 70 from London, England.
Now Kovacevic is down for Chelsea.
Looks like it's his left ankle.
That is of concern and Georgino may very well be his replacement as the medical staff comes out to attend to Matteo Kovacevich, Chelsea to Sheffield one.
The score thanks everyone for being around on this Saturday afternoon or morning tuning in from the West Coast Premier League action here on SportsCastr match day eight and it doesn't look like Kovacevic will be able to continue here.
Clearly, he's in quite a bit of discomfort at the moment, although I will say Yeah, so Kovacevic is officially coming off.
Oh yeah, he got stepped on and that's where the injury was sustained.
So Georgina on for Kovacevic.
That's the first substitution from Frank Lampard today, kind of one that he was forced in you due to the Kovach injury.
But Georgino has started many games previously for Chelsea, so not a surprise that he is coming on is the first substitute for Chelsea this evening.
Yeah, so an unfortunate early exit for Kovacevic.
We're in the 72nd minute now goal kick for Chelsea wouldn't played by Mandy Zuma to Tiago as Chelsea.
We'll work it out of the back.
So throwing for Sheffield United on the far sideline, Zuma sends it forward.
And now here is N Golo. Contact.
Conte finds Reese James James into the midfield with Georgino the Italian to the Algerians.
Here is Mendy Mendy to James.
Nice ball out wide.
Zach finds chill well into Verner. Back to chill.
Well, reminder that tomorrow on Sunday Night Football, it's the Saints and the Buccaneers.
What a great game! That should be a 20 Eastern time.
I'll be on the call for it since the Patriots uh, don't play until Monday night.
So yeah, that that should be a heck of a game.
A pack of the game.
Excuse me tomorrow night.
Make sure you tune in for that one.
I promise you it will be a good one here on SportsCastr Stevens all the way back for Ramsdale.
Abraham applying the pressure.
Ram still goes along and have a play for a Chelsea.
Throwing time slowly but surely running out for Sheffield United to get that equalizer to primarily.
Weekend continues with Man City and Liverpool Tomorrow, 11:30 a.
Eastern time contest between the last two champions of the Premier League.
That should be a great one, and that's lost in the midfield.
Streaking forward is content, and that will be worthy of a card.
Chelsea played quickly.
Turner tried to seek out James, who was streaking to the byline, and now the yellow card will be giving out.
I say good refereeing by Jonathan Moss because he was about to give the yellow.
But Chelsea played a quick and you let them play quick because, quite frankly, you can.
You can always wait to give out the yellow until until the ball goes out of play.
So now the yellow handed out to Sanders Berga as we've got 15 minutes to go until stoppage time.
The possession 73 to 27% in favor of Chelsea this evening, the shot 16 to 5 shots on goal, 63 Yet the score remains to one.
Here is reached.
James down the right hand side, James to Zeke towards the corner flag with James on, and it'll be a free kick to Chelsea, even though it looked like James was the more aggressive player on Max.
Slow there, but nonetheless, Chelsea win a free kick.
James and Zeke discussing which one of them, we'll send it into the box and will be Zeke as James steps off the ball.
Here's the delivery and ongoing the header is into the back of the net.
It's Thiago Silva who's got Chelsea the two goal lead they have long been looking for and have finally found its Chelsea three Sheffield one in the 77th minute.
And surely that will clinch the three points for Chelsea.
Ah, beautiful delivery from Hakim's Eick and then the run to the near post headed into the bottom left corner as Thiago just chucked it into the side netting.
It's a two goal lead for Chelsea.
Thiago lost his marker and a beautiful finish by the Brazilian.
And it's all smiles for Chelsea now brilliant service from Zeke and the first career goal for Chelsea for Thiago Silva.
Thiago just made it look so simple, but it was really a phenomenal finish, this long ball through the burner, the little chip and he sent it just wide.
What a ball through once again from Zach.
But it didn't take a slight deflection.
At least that's what Berners claiming.
But I don't know if it did.
What a through ball.
This was from Zeke.
Just a brilliant service and really, it seemed like it was goal number four for Chelsea governor.
Just why to the post.
Zack thought he had another assist Well, the night he's had there was a goal kick in the end, for Sheffield didn't appear assed, though it took any deflection despite the claims from Verner.
Now it's spend chill well down for Chelsea.
Oh yeah, that could have been worthy of a yellow card.
To McBurney, that's a late challenge as he just absolutely took out and chill out.
But no car given just a free kick for Chelsea Frank Lampard even smiling himself now because Chelsea are in a much more comfortable position after getting that third goal, that's for certain.
Now it's Kurt Zouma, Therese James and this ball through to governor, and there is a goal for team of inner.
It's the fourth of the game for Chelsea, and now they're running away with this 13 points, a sure thing at this point.
In the 80th minute, it's Chelsea four, Sheffield one, and it's further confirmation that Sheffield will remain at the bottom of the Premier League.
Their nightmare start to the season continues.
Just so quick on the end of that ball.
Not really sure how it even got to him.
It took a wicked deflection and Vernon made no mistake one on one with Ramsdale and he absolutely made no mistake.
41 shall see Berners fourth goal in the Premier League season.
Can Chelsea get 1/5? They're really starting to take complete control over this over this game.
Here is Thiago Silva for Chelsea.
Now move back to Silva, you know, luckily, had it.
Land rights occurred. Zuma.
Now it's Angola content.
Mason Mount will switch like pickle.
The point of attack.
Now it's sick amount.
Trying to find Abraham back to Zeke and Sheffield.
Get the free kick.
Now Chelsea just relieved at this stage that they now have a three goal lead and it looks like they're well on their way to a victory after being down one.
No early on in this game.
Great weekend of sports action and the Breeder's Cup continuing today from Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky, 83rd minute now free kick for Chelsea.
All they need to do is see this game out and hold onto possession.
It's like the head to chill well.
Look at the live table.
The top six in the Premier League Southampton atop the Premier League along with Liverpool, both on 16 points.
But then it's Chelsea and third with 15 points.
Lester with a game in hand with the same amount of points that it's taught them 14 points.
Everton 13 points to round out the top six.
Start to this Premier League campaign continues for Sheffield United.
It's not looking too bright for them at the moment.
After what was a really good 2019 and 20 season after being promoted from the championship had such a great season.
For whatever reason, the start to this one has been nothing short of awful.
One point now, through their first eight games, here's Eick over to content.
No, it's Timo Verner out wide for Reese, James James to the midfield with content.
Joel the flick ahead for Mason Mount's Zuma for James Nice, first touched by Reese James, but he lost it.
Now low going forward takes a deflection into the feet of Osborne Osborne gave it right back to Chelsea.
Contact couldn't quite find Zeke final five minutes and then some stoppage time left in this one.
Basham gave it away.
Now moved up the pitch in the direction of Abraham Sheffield.
Have it back, though.
Here's Max Slope through to McBirney and a nice sliding challenge there is.
James prevented the cross from getting in 86th minute corner kick for Sheffield.
Maybe a consolation goal for the Blades.
Looks like Olivier Djourou is set to enter for Chelsea.
Second substitution of the game for the Blues and off comes team of earner chemo.
Verner got his goal.
Giroux, who was a starter for Frank Lampard before Burner, was acquired by Chelsea from Leipzig.
We'll get some time off the bench here, but he hasn't got much playing time due to Verner coming into the side.
This is a good ball in, headed out over the end line by Abraham.
Another corner kick here for Sheffield, this one headed out by Zuma but one backed by Sheffield United here is Max.
Glove on the ball, blow out wide, headed out by Djourou just entered for Chelsea, 88th minute now probably won't be all that much.
Stoppage time tomorrow.
11:30 a.m. Eastern time.
The marquee matchup this of the weekend in the Premier League.
Manchester City faces Liverpool.
That should be a great one, this plate ahead to McGoldrick.
Unable to keep it in play.
A throwing here for Chelsea Reese James will take his pleasant time on the throwing up the line for Abraham.
He trips out of bounds Low.
Takes the throw for Sheffield United.
Final minute until we reached stoppage time from Stanford Bridge.
41 lead for Chelsea over Sheffield.
Well, turn out to be a comfortable win for Chelsea, although at times that wasn't quite the case.
Sheffield with possession, I'll switch it to the left wing with Max Slope at the edge of the box.
Here's an effort from George Ball.
Docket did deflect over the bar corner kick for the away team.
At least you know Sheffield.
They aren't just, you know, they haven't completely just given up on the game, which many teams at the bottom of the league would do in this case There, they're fighting to the end.
You've got to give them that.
They're playing the full 90 minutes.
Chris Wilder side is giving a 90 minute effort, even though the results obviously aren't going their way at the moment as that cross floated in is grabbed out of the year by Duarte Edward Mendy.
Now here comes Chelsea.
Three minutes of stoppage time as they switch fields.
Here's Mason Mount Mount the shot and want to save by Ramsdale, and it just goes over the bar.
A quarter kick coming up three minutes added on to the end of the second half.
Yeah, that was popped high up into the air by Ram.
Still, for a moment, it looked like it might have.
It was maybe gonna land below the bar and go into the back of the net, but it just went over on top of the net for a corner kick.
Mason Mountain will take it for Chelsea.
It's an out swinger, a little bit too far in the direction of chill well, but played out of bounds by John Lundstrom.
Final two minutes of play from Stanford Bridge.
Here's Angola contact.
We'll switch fields to reach James James of the positive first touch.
So now loses it.
Here is David McGoldrick.
The gold score for Sheffield Eckel came Seems like a long time ago, back when Sheffield were in the lead one, though four goals since from Chelsea.
So for another Sheffield throwing taken by Stevens in Tim McGoldrick final minute of play in this one, here's McGoldrick.
It gets tripped up on no foul called possibility for a counter attack.
Here's Tiago tryingto played through the Zodiac that ball cut off, but now it's Sheffield the other way.
As Reese James tracks down that pass from I'll over McBurney.
Half a minute left.
Now here is Angola. Contact.
A wide Zach 12 gets the return ball from Djourou. Tried toe.
Lift that one over the back line to Tammy Abraham a little bit too much on it.
Zia getting very creative here.
He's shown his playmaking ability tonight, and that will be the last of this one.
The final whistle blown and Chelsea get the commanding 41 victory over Sheffield United.
It's three more points for the Blues.
They jumped to third in the table on 15 point Sheffield remain at the bottom of the primarily table with just a single point through eight games.
McGoldrick got the scoring go in the ninth minute but it was gold from Abraham and show well in the first half, then Thiago Silva and team over in ER in the second half that got the win for Chelsea.
In the end, the Blues continue to impress.
They've been in good form as of late, looking at head to what's on tap later in the day in the Premier League shortly at three Eastern time will be West Ham United Fulham, then tomorrow quadruple header.
Bram taught them at nine Lester Wolves at 11 30 the big one man city Liverpool and then to cap off the weekend at 2 15 PM it's ****nal against Aston Villa.
Before I wrap up the broadcast, the stats will show you that it was completely one sided, despite Sheffield taking the lead early on 41 The final.
20 26 Chelsea shots on goal, 93 It was a completely dominant performance from the Blues in this one that will do it for my broadcast, everybody, as I'm Samuel re signing off saying so long.
Chelsea defeat Sheffield United by a final score of 41 from Stanford Bridge.
