All right, homie, we are live.
A little bit of inspirational music for you All in it your time there she's a my way doing the oh, e Have a pretty good day today.
Yeah, any better than yesterday? And that's an accomplishment.
It's good you're watching the election at all.
E think about politics whatsoever.
E watching the gold golf nominees behind me.
Hey, were you able to find any stats on the TSL? All right.
I just know them from watching the game when they posted.
Good, because they don't have anything online, but, yeah, they just posted them to the, like, the show's twitter.
And that was it.
All right, let me get my deal up.
I think we'll be ready to go.
Ready? Start this thing. Yeah, I'm good.
All right. Me too.
All right, everybody.
Welcome to the people's XFL show.
It's me, Garrett from Iowa and Midnight Moose talking all things XFL, the people's way.
This is our second episode, and we got a name.
We're ready to go for a schedule.
We are going to start doing every Tuesday until the season starts.
I'm not sure We'll make a little bit better determination exactly when we get close to season, but either shortly before one season starts will start doing to a week.
But for now, we'll be here every Tuesday at nine o'clock Eastern, eight o'clock Central and just talking everything XFL on for the 1st 20 weeks.
Once a week, we're gonna go through a game from the shortened XFL season and have some discussion on it and also cover news and anything going on also with the spring league.
Because that's direct correlation.
So hopefully you have some good content for you guys.
I hope you enjoy the show.
And also we got an announcement from my boy Moose.
Uh, so last, actually, directly after the first episode last week, I if you know me, I've been a writer for unwrap sports since legit Day one.
Well, the people's podcast is now part of on Wrapped.
They actually brought us in as a partner podcast, which means any time our show is posted, we go live any announcements from us.
They will be on the show's Twitter as well, but also the own rap sports network, Twitter, which is like 5000 followers So that'll help you guys all find us as well as just, you know, staying off the date with everything we did.
That's just our first.
Our first huge step after just one shoe.
Yeah, I was very.
I was very excited to find out.
We got the hook up and, uh, the guys over unwrapped like what we did with our completely unscripted, unplanned first show.
But yeah, yeah, I thought it went pretty well, and obviously other people did, too.
So I was really excited when I got the news from Moose there.
Well, anything else on Unwrapped Moose? Uh, yeah.
You can find on wrapped on rap sports network dot com is a website or on rap sports on Twitter or Instant Instagram.
Anybody that, like sports talk similar.
Like like what we do.
And like other sports talk, similar part of the way I first got hooked up with Moose was through on step on the unwrapped sports network.
I can remember how to talk and, uh, yeah, very good stuff.
Very relatable content.
And just a lot of good guys just talking sports like we do here with the xfl's.
If you like guys.
Who, while people who talk the way they want about sports and or to their past your own rap sports It's a place for you.
Make sure you make sure you tell Perry which sent you.
Yeah, we'd appreciate it.
So going into the show got a little bit of news here.
Um, not a whole lot going on with the XFL right now.
I think there's a lot behind the scenes stuff going on that's just not in the public eye.
Kind of limits our discussion a bit.
Uh, one of the things that I saw Josh Davis from the XFL news hub was on the podcast I was watching the other day when he had a very interesting take.
He thinks that the x f l should not be putting teams in NFL markets should not be trying to compete directly with the NFL in their home markets and focus more on.
Like, I think Birmingham, Alabama, was his example of the city where the XFL should be.
I gave you a little heads up on this yesterday, moose, and you seemed like you had some thoughts.
So I'll let you start out I'm kind of passion.
I've had this topic.
Josh Davis is a good guy.
It's not against you, Josh.
It's about where they gotta play if they're not in NFL cities, unless you're going to Oakland in playing are freaking baseball field.
I mean, then you're gonna have No, the fans aren't gonna be there.
There's already off season, then Tampa, Seattle, New York, Houston.
The fans air hungry for more football since that season ends the markets there.
The stadiums there, the fans were there.
So why not go there and stay so starting? And I don't know, like the freaking Idaho vandal state him or something.
I'm gonna play Devil's Advocate here just a little bit.
I'm a little unsure exactly where I line up on this.
I could see the pros and cons of both sides since you're obviously against it just to play the Devil's Advocate.
Locally, you put a sports team in Des Moines, fans show up and there are places to play.
Yeah, they got Wells.
Fargo Arena has hosted the Barnstormers, which is an arena football league for years, and people show up eso i that part of it.
I think the fans would show up anyway.
You can find places to play.
I don't dislike the idea of matching up with the NFL Cities because obviously the NFL Cities have NFL teams for a reason.
That's where the money is.
It's big population centers.
And as much as I would love to be able to drive two hours down the road to the Moines and watching XFL team play, they're probably gonna have more success where they're at because it's a big city.
It's the big markets, and that's where you gotta be.
So I'm with you.
You are obviously more familiar with Josh, and I am.
But everything I've seen from him right a few of his columns and whatnot after I saw him on the podcast, It seems like a very smart guy does a very good job.
I just I don't think he's right on this one.
Yeah, I think the right moves going big market.
I think that's another reason the aligned to American football field failed.
They're playing it.
You, you cf College Stadium, Houston Cougars College Stadium, Utah Utes College Stadium.
The fans just They're those air college football markets.
Sure, it's a football market, but it's a college football market.
Yeah, and kind of the thing.
You go to NFL markets.
You got people that are NFL playing fans looking for professional level football, toe watching the off season because they love watching football.
So you go to these a lot of these college markets like you go to Iowa City.
I mean, I live and breathe.
I will Hawkeye football.
And from about first tip off in basketball on, I'm not worried about Hawkeye football.
I'm worried about Hawkeye basketball.
E think you're going to college? You're gonna run into a lot of that where if you're trying to get the college fans, a lot of them are going to the basketball games and the baseball games going to the other sports that their local college has, as opposed to looking for more football.
So that's what I'm saying to.
I mean, it was definitely a very interesting question.
It made me think when I first heard it, I think we're gonna have to come down not on Josh's side on this one, though.
Yeah, eso goes it, but and also, let's see.
Next up we had our own moose dropped an article on T S, L.
Q B. Kevin Anderson.
Go ahead and some of your thoughts on the article.
Moose Kevin Anderson back story to him.
I've been a fan of him since Day one, literally, ever since he transferred from Marshall Thio.
Fordham back in 2014 that he's just been crazy.
Underrated, he said.
In college, he said, Season's over.
31/31 TDs, 34 TDs.
This man's insane.
He he's also a dual threat.
I believe he runs.
Ah, for like 48 flat.
Wow, that's quick.
I mean, that's moving, especially especially for Q p E.
I mean, Justin McMillan.
The skirt? Yeah, he's gonna norm to.
I don't I have never gotten why he doesn't have an NFL camp.
Well, well, and once again, just because I don't want don't want to just have us agreeing with each other the whole time I was looking, didn't he? Do have He hasn't really shown a whole lot in the spring league so far, has he? No, But he wasn't even the starter.
He came in after MacMillan like combusted.
He had he played realistically three quarters against the best defense and spring Lee.
If you watch to the line, His jersey was ripped during the I believe his second drive, like, completely shredded the left side of the charges being ripped down.
Okay, so I'm unsure how many sacks, but I would say around seven.
So he was he was running away More than Nick Foles does is what you're trying to say.
He was getting beat.
He he still managed to put up 100.
I mean, it's there's not gonna while you but he threw 160 yards with that outline.
10 for 16 I believe in the year.
Chip touch through with them.
Freaking dart, too.
Trying to bandy, is it? It was literally like, yeah, right in between the two safeties.
He laced it to him and he jumped for and caught it.
Uh, that he accuracy is definitely underrated.
Um, do you think that there's concerns with his consistency with if you have a good old line? I don't think so.
Because of college, he was his first full season as a starter.
He won all conference batch of well you see that? There's definitely guys that could come from the smaller schools and do good.
Um, I'm blanking on his last name now, but that David kid that got traded from Arizona to Houston and the D.
Hopkins deal Lavonte David No, David Johnson.
Oh, yeah, the running Hey came out of you and I Oh, yeah, yeah.
He's been tearing up the NFL for 89 seasons now.
Yeah, I think, Yeah, I mean, so there's definitely talent in the smaller coming out of the smaller schools.
I think exposure is probably a big part of his issue.
Yeah, I watched a lot of football and I had not heard his name before your article.
So take that for what it's worth, but that comes back to what we were talking last week.
XFL could give a lot of these guys, uh, mawr exposure and give him a shot at the big show.
Yeah, that's the reason I like six.
I felt so much actually.
Brandon Silvers on the Jersey e Want to staying silver's e.
No spoilers, but I might be a little critical of your boy.
Silver's later e think everybody is besides me Uh oh, but yeah, no, definitely a great article.
If you haven't had the chance to talk that check that out, moved up some really good writing, puts out a lot of stuff.
Next thing we got, we got the spring league.
I ran into a little hiccup because I did not catch the games last week.
So I went to look up some stats and see how guys did.
And apparently the spring league stats are not as accessible as the ones for the NFL on the X f l.
So I'm going to kind of have to go follow your lead and see what you got there. Moose.
So basically the for whatever reason, the spring league legit like only post them on Twitter.
And this one isn't even from the spring league.
It's from a fan who made it.
Brian Scott is the guy wanted to talk about.
He went d three me and you were talking about him earlier.
He went d three.
But if anybody knows how to say the name, please say it in the comments ot eight or the phone like that.
But regardless, he came out of college on Drafted.
He went to the Chiefs.
It looks like he bought out.
Let's do it as a crazy quick release.
He didn't make the roster in camp.
Then last year he went to the spring league and, uh, again the spring league stature in ST hard to find, so I couldn't find it.
But last week he went insane.
He went 24 for 28 304 yards and two touchdowns.
Should have been three touchdowns.
What? I believe that one got called back from interference and they just rushed in.
Hey, want those irq? Uh, another guy I know had a pretty good week Last week was old Shea Patterson, Autumn Michigan Shea Money.
Shea Magic is what Michigan people call them shape.
Tragic is what us ******* in Iowa called Shane.
Um, it's kind of nice to see him still playing football because, um, the Michigan hey decide.
I like seeing I like seeing guys get a shot that are good at football.
And I mean, he had three touchdowns.
I don't think any pics if I'm correct.
Yeah, just three straight TDs.
Yeah, three TDs.
I saw a couple of them off highlight reels on Twitter, and he was making good throws.
And I did think he'd be think there'd be an XFL team with the home for homeless in spring 2022.
I would hope so.
He look, and he he depleted that the Alphas with everybody's Everybody loves J T.
Barrett because he wants the Ohio State.
I hated High State.
He couldn't put up a single point against him.
19, Well, and I think a lot of Ohio State quarterbacks get, uh, fields being the exception.
I think Fields is actually a really good quarterback that is probably gonna find a home in the NFL.
But outside of Justin Fields, a lot of the Ohio State quarterbacks they get a lot of hype because they have a brick wall in front of them and running back that is built like a freakin Sherman tank.
So all I have to do is hand the ball off and make and I mean they they're good and they could make passes, but they have such a monster offense built around them.
They look a lot better than they actually are.
E could talk and XFL quarterback from Ohio state.
Janse Charmin John Shout at the XFL.
I was shirt somewhere over there.
So don't be a Sharman.
Jones is the most overrated quarterback in history.
Quote me on that four kiddie seven picks.
If my memory serves me correct, Charmin judges his name until further notice.
Charming because I'm assuming you're implying he's soft.
Yeah, we're gonna have some arguments later, but we'll save that for the recap here, but we get down to it.
But, yeah, I'm kind of with you there because I looked a little bit at his season stats, but I was kind of trying to focus on the game we got coming up.
So that's where I was coming from.
And the biggest thing I think, with Shea picking the same mental mistake's he did at Michigan because that's kind of how he earned the nickname shape Tragic around here is it seemed like any time they got as long as Michigan was controlling the game, they were fine.
But any time he got into ah, high pressure situation, he would either pull the ball down and run when he had nowhere to go or he forced the past he wasn't supposed He He had no business trying to force.
He'd run outside the pocket.
And instead of, you know, I'm like a second down.
Instead of trying to throw it away, he throw it into coverage and get picked or he tried you just There's a lot of mental stuff going on.
They're not good decisions when it came down to pressure times, So I'm not really ready to jump all in on him because of one good game.
But he did look really good in that game, so hopefully you can keep it up and we'll see a little bit of hopefully shame magic in the x f l and not shade Tragic.
I mean, I'd like to see it.
Yeah, well, and that will bring us up to our game of the week.
Unless did you have anybody else from the TSL? Uh, one I'm gonna give to guys to watch.
It's gonna be the televised game tomorrow. Five.
They keep an eye on the aviators.
One is Jeremiah ****e to the linebacker.
This this man, if you know his story, he's I'll just get through a quick 32nd breakdown of the story.
Yeah, from I don't know the exact age.
Let's just say upto like four because he gonna remember it.
He was homeless in the worst part, probably of the U. S. Possible.
Called L A Skid row.
Basically, people they're just, like, drugged up and live in tents.
He lived there with his mom.
He got he used to get thrown in garbage cans by his mom's friends.
Then he got taken from his mom, puts his grandma and his grandma and mom, died.
And then you got put in different foster homes and group homes.
I believe, like five different high schools.
And he was sleeping on just sleeping in cars, People's cottages everywhere in college.
He he didn't go d one d two d three went Yuko and he he bought out when he had the chance, he was hidden people like he was killing them.
He had a try it for the Chargers after college, which he he was there for camp.
Didn't get signed, he went.
Then after that, he went on to the Cape Fear Heroes and American Arena League and one, uh are you gonna call it all like the best linebacker in the league? the old linebacker award the kids crazy.
I'm just saying to watch out for him.
He he played in the XFL, actually, for the Wildkits.
I'm Yeah, that's the first I've heard his story, but if you could go to five different high schools and still get picked up by the by a college, I mean, even if it is a juco toe play for five different high school teams and still showing up talent to get picked up, I mean, there you gotta be good.
This dude's hungry.
And the other guy, the other guys that reminds me of somebody else.
I know you want to be talking to him.
Live in the foot.
Boost has been a little hungry.
This were quite quite a bit on.
The other guy is the receiver from the aviators.
Can't show, but he was e have an article about him on rap sports, but he bought out at McNeese State with, Like God, that's a big transfers semi big transfer school.
The kicker used to be in Alabama.
Kicker gonna reborn regardless.
Uh, I believe Ah.
40 he He went to the Chargers and camping.
And due to some cir***stances, he then he didn't get signed or even the opportunity to wear the jersey.
Then I just sent him back home and he had the YouTube channel about his whole story.
And he actually just have a job Dollar general for a while.
And then he was scheduled to play in the CFL.
And then, you know, I have once the CFL, it canceled the season.
And I think, like, told all of its players, they could play somewhere else for the year if they want the best.
Some guys, they're hungry.
Yeah, well, I mean, you gotta be hungry and that kind.
I was gonna say this for the end of the show, but it came up here.
You've been fairly active on Twitter this week.
I like your attitude.
You've been talking a lot about being hungry, and you're gonna succeed Come hell or high water.
So you gonna tell us a little bit how you got started on what you plan to dio? I know, I know.
I'm dropping this on dropping this on you out of the blue, but I've been watching the last couple days, you've been fairly active.
You got the attitude where the attitude come from.
So I'm not going to drop names here just for the fact of the shed.
But he passed it everywhere.
But if you that way you know me, you know the names and you can assume who's who and, you know 09 yards.
But regardless, somebody should start from where I know how in the beginning.
Beginning Well, I graduated 2018 kind of moved around for a few months and, like, I want to do this.
So I want to do that.
Then it hit me like February 2019.
I'm like, I had a full instagram page that I took it down because it was just it got hacked like I had so many.
I might be about to bring it back if I can.
But I had so many posts, is just like two paragraph articles like highlighting players and edits and highlight 50.
Is Kevin Anderson being one of the guy that got me started on this? Which then it was actually him that, like, pushed me toe like pursue writing because the man like this is the hobby like nobody ever.
Well, not nobody ever.
98% of people don't get Thio Get paid to do what they love You know eso Then I joined the ambush sports for I'm still there's still everybody there.
I'm still a cool ways.
I joined them first.
They got me started.
Then probably two weeks later, I joined non rap sports.
Stick with them until, like going on now, I was with various other sites in there, one of which, one of which, uh, may or may not have some kind words for, you know, uh, kind, very kind words.
You know, uh then comes really Nothing happened between, say, March 2019 and September of 2019 is when I started, like, four on focus on arena football.
Which is how I know a lot of these guys.
And up to right now, I'm with XFL board, which is like a dream because they mark over there.
He's one of the him Perry, Josh from ambush.
Those are some of the like, most like the best people I've met through writing and sites in that they have helped me so much.
XFL board is like there was a step here and XFL board with them. I jumped up two steps.
XFL board is what set the fire.
I'm like, I can finally do what I love on a platform.
That's for the X f l and the fans are gonna eat it.
I've made connections, was player and everything told them.
The dream is I'm hoping within a year from now I'm doing this full time writing.
And if the show takes off when the show takes off, the show is gonna be there too.
I'm giving give it a year.
That moose is loose.
The last time I talked this long without taking a breath, So I'm gonna take a drink.
You go right ahead of me.
Hey, cures man, that was a mouthful.
Okay? Not everybody can come off that good when they get put on the spot.
So I know we got a lot of followers.
I've been retrieved.
I've been retweeting.
The show's page has been retweeting.
You got a lot of support out there and really excited to see where you go and see where the show goes.
But I kinda wanted to give you a chance event because yeah, it seems like that.
Then another thing that fills me is people saying you can't do that. That will never happen.
That's not that's not a real job.
Just because you're not doing what you love doesn't mean I can't do it.
I love you're not breaking me down with you, man.
I'm not trying to go through hell to get to heaven, which I'd posted on Twitter earlier.
And I miss spelt don't and said Do in the sub tweet I said I'm met Don't.
But I miss smell Don't again. So I just left together.
If you find that, give it a like Yeah, that was pretty awesome.
I mean, I understand men, but shot at Rodney AC and they're Ugo.
That's definitely when we drop the podcast, that's gonna be there.
We're gonna drop my original plan for songs and that's gonna be the intro Outro.
It's a good song.
It's an oldie, but well, old for me anyway.
Way I mean, I was probably like several of that song came out.
Yeah, you know Yeah.
And I really like what you say When you don't like people telling you you can't do it, this is kinda I'll dive into my origin story.
It's not near has a Z yours, but basically there's a fairly big sports media company I was following way hit quarantine.
There's nothing going on.
There's no sports to watch.
And I've been hearing about this Twitter thing.
I'm a little bit older.
Well, I guess that how old, cause? But I'm older on uh, yeah, So I'm like, Well, I'll try this Twitter thing.
There ain't no sports going on.
So I got on there and it was kind of watching, and they had an intern and one of the guys posted the text message exchange with his intern and the intern was basically crying about how hard it was to write to Boggs Day.
And I replied on there because I'm a smart ass and I didn't know what all went into writing a block because I've never done it.
But I'm just like I'm working nine hours a day, and I bet I could put out to block today, and somebody in the comments was like, I bet you can't So for the next 30 days, I worked nine hours, came home and wrote two blocks every night.
E I would say so and kind of thio My surprise.
It was mostly friends and family because yeah, I mean, I think at the time I had, like, 20 followers on Twitter.
So anybody out there that wants to give me a follow on Twitter e appreciate it.
We're trying to get trying to get the numbers up.
We'll drop all that at the end of the show.
But I only had, like, 20 followers, so I was posted as putting everything on Facebook and Twitter and people that I trust.
I mean, it wasn't like my mom saying, Oh, I'm so proud of you.
You know, like Mom's dio It was a lot of people.
I try like, man, you're pretty good.
I enjoy reading that stuff, Keep it up.
So I was kind of kept doing it and then started to get wrapped up in the podcast thing and then, uh, saw this random guy do a pretty good, uh, do a pretty good livestream.
And then he put on Twitter that he wanted a partner for an XFL show.
And in all honesty, I scrolled right past it.
The first time I saw it, I just kept going because you're upto what? 2000 followers? Yeah, 2.9.
Yeah, So I was just like, man, this guy's got 2900 followers.
Ain't gonna want some idiot from Iowa that has no experience to do anything with him.
And I look back at it like three hours later.
Nobody had replied, Yes, So I'm like, Well, what the hell shot your message and $100? Got my fancy stuff way.
Just a couple of guys that are hungry.
I'm still salty about the Iowa game.
If anybody's wondering e really gonna talk about too much because this is an XFL show, but yeah, anybody who's been following us on Twitter, I am still salty.
Eso Alright, moving on.
Do our unless you got anything to add their moose.
No, I'm cool. Alright.
Hey, Thanks for the shot, man.
Anyway, moving on what? We're gonna We're gonna work.
I mentioned this at the top to we're just gonna talk about There were 20 games played last year, So every week we're just gonna talk about one of the games.
I got a quick recap.
Then we'll talk about takeaways.
What impressed us? What didn't? And kind of the last take I want to go after on this.
Players that could help NFL teams.
And kind of the twist on this I want get out, Silver.
And this is this is where we're gonna butt heads.
When we get to this section, I kind of want to just focus.
Like the rest of the season hasn't happened at this point.
Okay, So like, like back still alive? No, Like the rest of the XFL season way are gonna talk about Sharman.
Having seven picks were just, you know, we're gonna look at this game like, what did you see in this game that you think somebody in the NFL? That's kind of my theory.
If you that that was that was a approach I took to it.
If you want a little bit differently and talk about Sharman.
Seven interceptions, E three show run under the bus earlier.
I think I e uh, but anyway, so first game that we are starting off with we had the Seattle Dragons at the D.
Defenders for the recap.
I got my fancy little piece of yellow legal paper here.
The defender started off with a started off the scoring with a 34 yard field goal, capping how 13 place, 63 yard drive and then Seattle score the next point, Silver's to parole for a touchdown on a to cap off a six place, 67 yard drive.
Make it 63 extra point was no good.
Then the defenders Campbell blocks up Hunt, and then Celestine recovers in the end zone for the defenders for another TV Next.
Then Seattle Silver's answered back with a TD pass to Williams to cap off a nine play and 60 yard drive, and then also completed the Pastor Reynolds to convert the one point.
At that point, we are at 13 9.
Then the defenders.
54 yard field goal.
Thio close out the half, four plays, eight yards.
So 13 12 going into the half.
Second half, we had Jones Charmin Jones, charming, charming, passed a 39 yard TD pass to lead the cap off a six place, 78 yard drive.
Yeah, and then, uh, two yard rush and I'm looking at my own writing, and I probably should type this out.
Um, I don't know if I meant to write P Humphrey or if the guy just has a weird name.
Okay, thank you.
Hey, Converted the one point conversion.
So at that point, we are 1913 defenders then silvers to prole again on a 57 yard TD.
Three plays, 67 yards on the drive tied it all up at 19 and Jones to Ross on a 31 yard TD to cap off a 55 play, 55 yard scoring drive for the defenders to put him up 25 19.
And then Sylve intercepted Silvers and returned it back 69 yards for the last score of the game for a final score of 31 to 19.
And that was the game.
I watch the highlights.
Look over some stats, so I might be slightly biased.
Sure, you know, he had He had two picks, but he also had three TVs, including a 57 yard TD that everybody's cannon for the backup.
He went out there and slowing a 57 yard TD that shut him up for a while.
That's really not that bad compared toa what he was facing on defense.
Yeah, well, And he Yeah, the 57 yard TD was all about 10 yards of that scoring drive.
Well, definitely there I was, looking at it.
Overall stats on the game.
Seattle at 310 yards.
295 Seattle average 4.
3 Um, you look at rushing yards.
97 for Seattle, 68 for D.
C and passing was 213 for Seattle and 227 for the D.
Kind of the two things that stuck out to me that I mean, Seattle should have won this game.
Yeah, any far in a way.
I mean, they're pretty even on total yard on the yards and offense wise for production.
But first down, Seattle had 21 compared to the defenders 13.
Seattle is doing a much better job of maintaining drives, and the other one that's stick stuck out to me Uh, no turnovers for the defenders and two picks for Seattle E.
I don't want that. Looks bad this game.
Two TVs, I think.
Yeah, that was I got I got him down for one of my three play.
One of my three players.
I'll give it the charm.
And he had a good game.
Good game of the year.
Why? He was 16 of 26.
235 yards, Two TDs, nine rushes for 28 yards.
Only took one sack.
I didn't write down your boy Silver's because the interceptions hurt him, but I think he had, like, a 71 or 72.
Something in there.
Well, and then the other big one on offense that stuck out to me is Eli Rogers out of Louisville, Louisville, Louisville, El Ville.
Whatever you wanna call it dependent part of the country or from my pretty Sure it's how that works For steel.
Uh, six targets.
Six receptions, 73 yards.
He did not have any of the touchdowns, but if you get thrown at six times and have six sketches.
That's a good game.
Another guy like from Seattle as a receiver was Austin Parole E.
I mean, the targets.
Receptions don't add up, but he had five receptions.
10 targets for two TDs in 88 yards, including 57 yard.
Yeah, because he had Did he have, although TDs? Uh, no.
Trey Williams also had one.
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah, Williams had one, too, But yeah, he had two out of the three TDs for Seattle.
And just, like, watch watching the highlights because I couldn't find a full game to watch.
But watching the highlights and reading through the play by play, I think Silver's was looking for him a lot.
He like pro was his number one target.
Yeah, far and away.
So, uh, but then players to the NFL based off of this game, you got to go with old charming.
I'll get with the charming.
That team he was, he was calendar.
I understand this conversation is good change when we get another game or two down the road, but for the moment, he's he's a good guy.
Yeah, the four TDs seven picks on the season that you mentioned earlier, definitely would.
Is going to scare some people away.
But you look at this game.
I mean, he did everything you could ask a quarterback to. Dio.
Won the game, even had some rushes.
And he's a big man.
I think he's like 66 to 70.
Yeah, they talk about Iowa's quarterback this year, kid by the name of Spencer Petrus.
Yeah, he's all the announcers talked to him about being an old school big quarterback.
Kids 65 and to 30 e mean Cordell £50.
Uh, card built like a tight end.
Yeah, well, he could move to He's not the show.
Now this is all we got.
We got to do a little bit of assuming here, because it's not gonna happen because these guys that we're gonna be talking about haven't been playing.
And at this point in the NFL season, I think even if you call them, I mean, they might be ready to go by playoff time.
Just conditioning wise.
But like if cartel was in shape, who do you think be giving him a call at this point in the season.
I wouldn't be surprised.
Put the Giants on the list, too.
Possibly the Jags? Yeah, I don't know.
So why? But it seems like they're giving.
I'll put him too quick.
You have nobody around him.
That's definitely a problem.
I mean, you could make that argument a little bit for Jones to, but yeah, I like that.
I mean, he's not only in the best situations, but he seems to have an uncanny knack to make bad situations.
And in the worst possible outcome.
Yeah, getting chased down, you can take a sack, throw it out of bounds, drop into your dump off guy or throw a pick six.
And it seems like any time Daniel Jones is presented with those four options, he throws a pick six.
You kind of chucks it up in hopes of them ****ed.
Yeah, you just he you can't be doing that in the NFL unless there's three seconds left and you need to get 80 yards to win the game like that's the only time and place for that.
So on and another guy I thought was impressive was linebacker on the defenders.
Jameer Thurman out of Indiana State.
He had six solo tackles to assisted and to pass defenses.
Has a linebacker.
That's a guy that's getting around the field recovering from ground.
So he was tied with the lead for the game for most tackles in the game.
I can't remember who it was on the Seattle side, but there's a Seattle guy that Steve Johnson.
Yeah, former Ravens, you know.
Six tackles to Thio.
Six solo to assisted for him.
Also, the past defenses kind of stuck out for me.
Don't because you see you see eight tackles and two passes defended.
You figured it's either.
You kind of figure it's either safety or corner getting his tackles on the outside.
So see a linebacker with that.
That was fairly impressive.
There's a couple.
There's definitely some defense is out there that could use a fast linebacker on the outside edge.
Maybe the Jets e think you could look at the entire XFL roster from last year, and the Jets would be the number one team that could use that.
Jets need to burn every silvers.
You can't be doing anywhere.
Some Dalton is right now, but e mean because you're looking a little assed.
Faras x f l player XFL people that the Jets should call.
I think you need to put old June Jones at the top of the list because Adam gazes dog****.
Everybody hates Adam gays.
Yeah, I heard an interesting take on can remember his radio or a podcast.
Last week, somebody asked the guy that from New York about whether or not they needed to get rid of Adam gays.
And he's like, Oh, hell, no, not this point of year.
Let that guy coach let him do terrible and fire him after the year.
So we at least get a good draft pick out of it.
Take Trevor Lawrence.
They might actually win four games with him.
Yeah, that's what the guy was talking.
He's just like, man, this is You don't want to get a young guy in here and get the team all fired up and all of a sudden win the last six games of the year, E me At this point, you want your draft picks, so just let him coach.
Well, you're probably not wrong.
Well, and last thing I had for us tonight.
Austin Walter, former standout at Rice University and was on the Renegades roster last year.
He has been activated off the 40 Niners practice squad to get some minutes be playing against Green Bay this week.
Well, that's pretty exciting to see an XFL.
Guys getting the shot.
Uh, it looks like he didn't do ah whole lot with the renegades.
Uh, yeah, this literally dropped about 40 minutes before we went live.
So I didn't have time to, like, really look into where he was on the depth chart or like, who was in front of him.
What the reasons were for that.
But he four you had four rushes for 19 yards and two receptions for 30 ones.
So in limited time, he put up some numbers and you look at his numbers from rice.
I mean, over his career.
Four years started all four years, Uh, 1744 yards rushing for a 5.
1 average and 13 TDs.
And also 803 yards receiving another five.
I'll give you 10.
He's a good back.
Be interesting to see.
Especially which I don't know what they're gonna be doing that quarterback.
Now, Uh, I've heard rumors that Jimmy G.
Might be playing this week that his injury isn't that bad, That it's gonna be a short term e was out, like, eight weeks.
That's what I heard at first.
And then I saw 40 Niners.
Coach was saying today that they don't expect him to be out very long.
It was kind of hinting around maybe this week I would be surprised if it was this week, but definitely sounded like he was thinking next.
So that would be kind of interesting to watch, but San Francisco Nick, moms get a shot.
I'd like to see my boy bathroom in there.
Oh, yeah, yeah, for rock.
Yeah, he's done good.
Um, I think he's probably the best third string quarterback in the NFL on the topic of C J *******, you're in the country music, you know, talking method.
Oh, yeah, Yeah, I know.
He did a concert down in Iowa City when he e It was like a pregame deal.
They had Tucker in to do a concert before one of the games when CJ was playing there.
You deal, so yeah, his whole family just been around and been involved in football in music and different things.
They were his dad's in the Hall of Fame.
E was, Yeah, I can't remember if it was coach or player, but I know his dad was in there.
I think his grandpa might have been in the NFL, too, but I know they have a deep history.
Yeah, so I definitely like to see him get some more playing time.
But with San Francisco being a run heavy team and they've always been a done a running back by committee, I mean, they're Super Bowl run.
Last year, they had but three backs over 750 yards.
Yeah, that sounds right.
Yeah, I remember.
It was, like, three over either 600 or 750 none over 1000.
There's something crazy like that.
They just They split the workload.
Think the kids could get some playing time.
So be something to watch out for.
See what he does here against the Packers.
Especially after what the Vikings they doing? No.
They looked horrible against the run with old that Dalvin cook ran all over him all day.
So put this kid in, puts the blockers in front of him, see what happens.
I'm for I am definitely all for it as well.
Because of something to talk about.
10 Also content.
My boy, Brandon Silver's finally hit me with the follow on instagram the other night.
