welcome everyone to fantasy foresight.
The podcast where your host and co founders of fantasy foresight dot com coming to you from the Rambo Fix your company studios.
I'm Ben, and I'm Jay.
You ready to get rolling, J? You know it.
All right, let's go.
We welcome And everyone it is.
Tuesday, November 3rd.
We've got our guy Steve at f f Underscore Encyclopedia Back with us.
We've got a super weird week eight to review.
Plus, we've got your week nine waiver targets and once again, fantasy foresight.
The podcast is live.
How you doing tonight, Jay? Ben, what a day we got Election day.
We've got Let's see, Trade Deadline day.
We've got the end of week eight You know, in a lot of leagues I know in our league of record, as long as we got through at least half of the season, the season will count.
So now it's really important to pick up wins the rest of the way.
You know, co vid cases are rich in rising not only in the country but in the NFL.
Steve, we were just talking about it before the podcast.
So, like you said, a crazy wild week Can't wait to recap it.
Steve, how are you doing tonight? My friend? You guys are doing pretty good, Thanks.
Yeah, it's just, you know, one week after the other.
And everywhere in the world and fantasy football, it's just yeah, craziness.
But yeah, it'll be interesting recapping this one, because Ben, you said it.
It was just like a funky Sunday when it came out for football.
And, of course, the weather played a huge role in that, I feel for sure lots of teams that you wouldn't expect to be winning.
We're winning games, lots of weird fantasy performances as a result of that on before we dive into a week.
A quick disclaimer.
If this is your first time listening, just know that we're speaking in terms of single Q B full PPR redraft by default and all of our fantasy finishes as well as fantasy points per game.
Calculations are all based on full PPR LTD.
Two weeks one through 16 according to fantasy pros dot com.
Alright, we had six BIS and six cells for you this week on board, you know, first up Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Uh, first time he made our buys and sells list this season on man, He let us down.
Hey, was aggregate projected to be Q B 15 Total foresight like him, his Q B 14 got that one wrong handed up.
His Q B 26 overall went 12 of 25 422 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions at six rush attempts for 29 yards.
Just a could not be more of a disappointing game for the Cleveland Browns.
You know, me and Steve always feel a little bit foolish after we hype our home team and they come out and lay an absolute stinker like that.
You know, we could hang our hat on previously that at least it was the Ravens.
At least it was the Steelers.
This was just the Raiders at home, man.
You know what? I'll tell you what, though.
This was an interesting game for me because the Raiders have have, you know, they beat the Chiefs.
They've played some teams really tough.
They've won some games that maybe you didn't expect them to.
I know I get that in.
The Browns have actually beating the teams.
They're supposed to beat this so far this year, which is out of character for them over the last 20 years.
It was one of those games where which one's gonna come true or the Raiders gonna play better than they are or the Browns gonna beat a team they should beat.
And you know what? It just unfortunately for you guys, it came out that the Raiders came out on top.
Yeah, I mean big, You know, there's certainly some drops that would have helped his numbers a little bit, but he But he still wasn't.
Yeah, he still wasn't gonna necessarily come close toe quarterback 15.
Anyways, um, so certainly disappointing fantasy wise.
Uh, you know, I think, you know, we knew there was gonna be rain, and so it was gonna be, you know, some pretty gusty winds coming off Lake Erie.
We we knew that heading in, but I didn't think it would be to the degree that it ended up being come kick off because that probably would have really, really pushed down our expectations a little bit because I went into this one thinking like, you know, these two teams Might they might carry it out a little bit, you know, based on how poor each of their defense is have been in that regard.
So I don't know what all around disappointing fantasy and real life, and it really stinks that we have to now sit through a bye week after this.
You know, I disagree with you, Steve.
I'm ready to take a break from this team.
They're really making me angry right now, So I will take the bye week and hopefully they can go back and think about what they did and come back with some sort of decent performance that's worthy of the fan base.
Cleveland Cleveland Browns Force.
I've been just grounded you for the week.
You take the week off and think about what you did.
Until you win games like that, you're a bunch of pretenders.
Get out of my face, All right.
Moving on to the Philadelphia Eagles, we've got that struggled mightily with the Cowboys and looked like an absolute joke.
Carson Wentz was terrible for me and what should have been a great streamer spot this week.
I don't wanna hear about the Eagles either, and Boston.
Thank you for barely missing your aggregate projection of our B 27.
You ended up his RB 28.
You know, he still had a pretty nice day. All things considered.
15 attempts, 70 yards, no touchdowns, called both of his targets for nine yards.
I mean, we were right there on the brink of it, one of those technical, incorrect ones.
But usage wise, you know, we were We were right on par.
But just I did not expect that Philadelphia Eagles team to come out at home and look like absolute trash versus the Cowboys, especially when they're starting to get a little bit healthier at the skill position.
I mean, you know, what can I say? They're bad, the whole divisions bad.
And so far, we're all bad.
We're all going to on this podcast so far, and that's including total foresight.
Steve, what did you think about the Cowboys and Eagles game? Other than that, it was disgusting.
The watch pretty much, um, yeah, I don't have much to add.
Other than you know, it's just, uh they're not too very fantasy relevant teams right now, which is so crazy, given what we saw out of the Cowboys, of course, with a healthy Dak Prescott and the expectations and hype I think we have for both.
The offense is heading into the 2020 season.
Just kinda just kinda.
You know, you just look at the pieces, the skill positions on both those teams right now, and they're they're certainly letting down a lot of fantasy managers.
So it was just a tough one to watch.
I have to admit, I threw in the towel at halftime on that.
I remember early in the game they threw up a stat of like, I think it through.
The first two possessions there were there were like three sacks, two turnovers or so.
I mean, it was just It was ugly football.
It was ugly football.
But, you know, then to your point about the Browns, about them being pretenders at this point, these two teams, like Steve, said, we're supposed to be contenders coming into the season and they are anything but, you know, I do acknowledge the fact that nobody would have had us, including myself, a five and three at this point.
So I'm very happy about that still, but you know, once you get to five and two and once you've shown what you're capable of, it's really not acceptable.
Toe lay an egg like that at home versus a very beatable team in the Raiders.
I I hear you, man.
They have played some teams tough, but, uh, it's just a game that there's no excuses.
Get better, Figure it out.
Um, one thing that you know.
Okay, First bright spot for total foresight.
First bright spot for me personally on this episode.
San Francisco 40 Niners running back Jerick McKinnon was able to fight through those tired legs and get himself into the end zone, even though he netted negative one rushing yard on three attempts.
But he's still, like I said, Got it done through the air.
Uh, you know, it was the third worst run block advantage coming into the week, and I said, You know, we're talking about full PPR formats.
Jerick McKinnon does his damage through the air.
Four catches on four targets for 40 yards. No touchdowns.
Steve made a point that he needed to get himself in the end zone.
He did that Teoh, albeit with negative one Russian yard.
He was projected to be running back 34.
He actually ended up his running back 16 with the performance I just described, which is pretty crazy to me.
So yeah, right now, one and two for me in total force, I go first for everybody else.
Not a good start for us.
Not a good start.
It all And, you know, with the Niners rushing offense, I, you know, I knew going in that they could put up multiple backs inside the top 34.
So there was a very good chance Jerick McKinnon could beat his projection even if he wasn't the primary ball carrier, but negative one yards.
And then he only gets four catches for 40 yards, but he gets in the end zone.
And that's what I was betting against.
I just couldn't bet that the guy would get in the end zone again, even though that's where all of his fantasy value has come from so far this season.
And he did it once again.
And God, it's just putrid that that stat line gets him as our be 16 for the week.
Yeah, that is, um, stunning That he finished RB 16 Yeah, I'm thinking that, too.
And then, you know, I guess we, you know, we're going to expect, especially in weeks, that air, like offensively down across the NFL, coupled with a lot of teams being out on their buys, especially as we get into the winter months.
We'll probably see more of these weeks where there's there's running backs that just they're not active for the week because they're on a bye week and you know you're gonna have more of those grinded out sloppy kind of games.
And I guess there was weather.
It's a running game that we're getting in the running football like S o many performances.
Where's the volume? Just so many, like hot hand committees.
I feel like that.
That's just more and more of an emerging thing across the NFL, where it's just zipping harder to predict who's going to get what touches and when, and and and then you see things like that where you know you have Jerick.
McKinnon finished RB 16 on the week.
He should be in every line up in the entire world of fancy football.
He's finishing that high.
You just start that throat with the stat line without a doubt.
And, you know, shame on all of us for this next guy.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A J. Green.
Just when I thought I was out, he pulls me back in and hey was aggregate projection.
Wide receiver 36.
We were buying that.
He ended up his wide receiver.
73 2 catches, five targets, 19 yards, no touchdowns.
Just, um, you know, they're like like Steve said, there's gonna be weeks like this where everybody's down.
But it's not like he had some mediocre performance and finished where he shouldn't have.
Because of that, it's just bad again.
There's there plain and simple farm or games this season where a. J.
Green has been bad than has he been fantasy.
You know what? I'm with you, man.
It's so frustrating because it looked like the Bengals finally figured out how to employ A J.
Green and the offense with his current state, and he was having a lot of success.
And I know the Tennessee Titans are a tough matchup like we discussed on the podcast, but you would have thought a J Green would have had more than two catches on five targets for 19 yards playing in the slot.
I mean, come on, man.
Really, it's I I don't know, You know? And again, this is one of those games were, you know, the whole us living in the state of Ohio.
We we knew that.
Okay, there is probably gonna be some rain, and there's gonna be wind.
Um, but it wasn't nearly as severe as it was up here in Cleveland.
And Joe Burrow was still able to throw for, you know, 249 yards.
E mean, did he get a Yeah and a pair of scores? So given that matchup against Tennessee and for how well a J.
Green had seemed to be playing, you saw some fight out of the guy in the last couple of weeks, and he'd been getting a nice target share, leading his team, so just definitely a dud performance.
And like you said, then just when we're all out, he just found a way to suck us back in and think that that wide receiver 36 was gonna be very easily beaten, but not again.
But And you made the point about the targets.
We made the point on the last podcast that he was 11th and targets on the season heading into last week.
And he had been wide receiver 18 over the last two weeks prior to that.
So I mean, you know, we'll have to see what happens.
I think maybe, you know, taking the emotion out of it, taking a step back a little bit.
You know, it took him a while to get his legs back.
He had a couple of nice games is probably just a down week.
You know, if if you could buy low on him, it may not be a bad idea, you know, super low, though.
You know what they say Hello? Once shame on you, fool me twice.
You better not me again.
I mean, like, I get it.
I'm willing to take the risk.
I think that, like, it's very easy to be really upset with him and just, you know, be very emotional about it and say we're done with him like the ****ytical side of me.
You know, we have had a certain opinion about him coming into the season.
Obviously played terrible.
Then he showed himself to be the the A.
green of old the past couple of weeks and, like Steve said, it was just like we've all said.
It was a weird week of fantasy football, so, you know, he's definitely not somebody that you want to trust anything more than, like, a little blow and wide receiver three, in my opinion.
But, you know, he's definitely not something that's drop a ball at this point, is annoyed as I get with him.
I don't know if you guys disagree about that, but I don't want to seem to be overreacting about A J. Green.
I guess I mean more like, let's not put him on this list ever again.
I am 1000% with you there.
He's gonna have to show us now.
He showed us two weeks in a row, got back on the list, is gonna have to show us four weeks this time.
We get back on the list next time, all right, moving on to a guy that that very, very well came through for us, and we appreciate it.
San Francisco 40 Niners wide receiver Brandon IAC's uh oh, you know, we had a few pairs of teammates on this podcast and This is the first pair, and both of these guys came through for us.
We were buying him verse in aggregate projection of wide receiver for 46.
He ended up being wide receiver six overall, eight receptions on 11 targets for 91 yards and a score.
Uh, you know, we unanimously got this one, right? All of a sudden, total four sites back up to two and three.
So, um I j Steven Travers sitting at one and four.
But, you know, I think we've got a few more winds coming up after this.
Lovely and Yeah, man.
Brandon, I really turned it on late to, you know, he's having an okay day for most of that game and then really came through late tacking on a nice late score, which was just icing on the cake.
I mean, great performance out of him.
Yeah, Direct quote from last podcast.
It may not be until the second half or even garbage time, but I expect I You qto very well exceed wide receiver there, Ugo.
It's exactly what happened.
Boom! Yeah, for sure guys, uh, for me, it just a simple Azaz.
The matchup against Seattle and the lack of overall like legitimate options that the offense even has to throw the ball to which now is even less so with George Kittle there.
So yeah, absolutely.
All right, let's get this next guy great. Fantastic.
J was on an island on this next total foresight by Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tight end, making another appearance on this podcast and making us right Once again, we were buying him verse in aggregate projection of tight end 11.
He finished his tight end for overall four catches on four targets for 41 yards in a score.
Now all of a sudden, total foresight myself for 500 everybody else got the win.
But you j go to hell.
Absolutely love it.
Gronk Gronk seems to be clearly a step slower than like the Gronk of old, but he has definitely much more of this guy than he is the guy that we saw over what I consider to be his preseason the first four weeks of this regular.
And I can't even say that like the touchdown is what made me wrong.
Because four grabs and 41 yards probably still would have gotten him in the top 11.
So congratulations, Steve.
Anything to add about Gronk before we move on? Now I think you guys summed it up pretty well.
E mean, really, he's not.
He's not the Gronk of old, but there is the chemistry with Brady and, you know, he he can, you know, time well, and there's that, too.
But yeah, he can high ball, you know, ball that Brady throws up in the back of the end zone and he just, you know, use the hands and a touchdown could happen any week with Gronk, so it's hard to bet against that at this point for sure.
All right, that does it for our buys this week.
Moving on to our cells.
UH, total foresight was selling Detroit Lions quarterback Matt Stafford versus aggregate projection of Q B 11 and total foresight.
Got that when wrong, As did everybody else but me on my island.
I called for Matt Stafford's bass game of the season, and that's exactly what we got.
Q B three overall, 23 of 42 for 336 yards, three scores, one interception at a 10 yards on the ground.
Uh, you know, you know, I said a little bit ingest that, you know, the prior week was when Matt Stafford should have done this against the very stream a ble to that point.
Atlanta Falcons on then, of course, this week verse that great Indianapolis defense.
He lights him up for 336 yards and three scores.
So, uh, you know, there were some.
There were some metrics on his side that that did also lead me to an A league ****ytically buy him a little bit.
But, you know, it was just so fantasy football for him to not do great against Atlanta last week and to do great against any this week.
And I was fed up with all the stupidity.
So that's honestly the leading factor in why I bought him this place and honestly, I mean, it was very surprising that he had that stat line like you said against a good colds defense.
And he did so with Kenny Golladay, registering zero receiving yards and getting hurt leaving the game.
And we saw earlier earlier in the season how that offense didn't look right without Kenny Golladay in there and so just very impressive for them.
Thio put up that kind of production without without gala day on the field, Man.
Uh, yeah, it was stunning that he finished Q B three on the week.
Guys, uh, you know, it's really hard, really hard to run the ball against Indianapolis, but to me, that's still didn't equate to.
Okay, well, that was have an easy time slinging around the yard on this particular Sunday.
So just like like you said, Ben, that was just another one of those.
Like, Man, this is just kind of a bizarre Sunday with all the, you know, three apocalyptic wind storms and everything else.
It just seemed so just such a weird football Sunday, at least here in North.
It's fun watching kickers, though.
Another reason I bought Stafford was because, you know, I was, you know, messing around with streaming quarterbacks in our league of record.
And you know, it was going to stream Stafford over whence last week verse the Falcons.
That didn't work out for me.
Then I decided to go with when it's over Stafford this week, and that's why I bought him because I knew if I went with whence that Stafford was gonna blow up.
And lo and behold, that is that is the way that it went, because that's my league of record season this year.
Moving on to our next cell.
Detroit Lions running back DeAndre Swift.
Total foresight was selling him verse in aggregate projection of R B 11.
Everybody was unanimous with that, and we were all correct.
I am not sold on this guy just yet.
It was RB 45 overall.
Six attempts, one yard, no touchdowns, three catches on four targets, 29 yards, no touchdowns, 30 total yards off of, you know, nine attempts, just nothing to be excited about.
Like you said, Steve, We were calling for him to have a rough time verse that in the run defense.
And that's exactly what happened.
Got in the end zone.
Remember him? Amazing.
Oh, that back field moving on to our next cell.
We had Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard for net.
You know, this is another one where I am going to say we technically got it wrong because the usage was still there.
Exactly how we called it Total foresight was selling him verse in aggregate Projection of R B 17.
Uh, total foresight.
Uh, total force.
I got that one right, because he ended up being our B 27.
15 of times, 52 yards, zero touchdowns, three receptions on six targets for 19 yards and touchdown.
He had 21 total opportunities vs Road Joe's 11.
So I'm sorry I was speaking off of this originally, from my selfish perspective, I bought for Net to do that.
They joined me in doing that Total foresight.
The cold, hard truth did not.
But you know again, clearly.
Like I said, Tampa Bay favors for net over Rojo.
There is no doubt about that.
21 looks rodeos 11.
Rojo did absolutely nothing while for net was out to merit getting taking a back seat to for net.
And yet, that's exactly what's happening.
Yeah, man, I mean, for net.
When he's healthy and available, it seems like he's going to be the man in that backfield.
So, you know, just when you were looking like you cashed in some some gold there with Row Joe when we're writing him to a nice fantasy season all of a sudden now it looks like Leonard Fournette is the RB one in that offense.
You know, I do have to say when it comes to rodeo, he you know he can't put the ball on the ground.
So, you know, with that, making that kind of a mistake, he's definitely gonna It's definitely going to get overshadow when it comes to looks.
But the thing that's a little frustrating about the backfield, whether you you know you're on the side of for Net or Ronald Jones is I feel like either one of those guys will produce better if they are kind of more of the guy you know is faras.
You know, you get them the looks, you get them into a rhythm, you get them the ball.
And, you know, you see some of the stat lines has come out of both running backs lately that haven't necessarily been impressive.
And but, you know, they're both What would you guys say at this point in time? Just like some low end our middling RB threes Low and RB three is like, kind of a best.
I mean, if they could get in the end zone, that changes the whole week.
But, um, based on usage, I would call Leonard Fournette a low end RB two and Rojo like a middle of the road R b three? Yeah.
It's just like I said, just kind of kind of curious, but yeah.
It was disappointing, though, for you buying into him, Benny, that 21 touches and you know your jerk McKinnon do it.
He didn't finish this.
Harvey 16 on seven looks.
So it just, you know, like I say it again.
And just what a week? Yeah, indeed, sir.
And you know that that did not change with our next guy.
We were divided on this one.
Me Total foresight J.
We're all selling Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marqise Brown verse in aggregate.
Projection of wide receiver 25.
From that perspective, he finished as wide receiver 53 overall, One catch on just two targets for just three yards.
But he got himself in the end zone, so we got you a few PPR points at least there.
But you know Yeah.
The worst wide receiver strength of schedule coming into this week.
Lamar Jackson, all of a sudden how the mighty have fallen I really do not know what's going on with Lamar.
I was not one of those people that thought he was just a flash in the pan because of what he did with his arm last year.
Man, I don't know if defense has figured him out or he did not benefit from the cove it virtual offseason or what? But he does not look like anything close to the same guy.
And that's part of the reason everybody was so high on marquees Brown coming into the year because we expected the same passing Lamar Jackson.
Then we got last year.
So far, we haven't gotten it, huh? Shocker.
You did call for that first year.
So you know the reason I was buying Hollywood Brown this week cause I was like, Hey, look, he just needs that one long touchdown.
You know, that 60 yard touchdown and then you You know, unfortunately for this situation, if you divide that 60 yards by 20 he did have that three yard touchdown bomb.
Eso You know, I'm not trying to say I nailed it.
I didn't have him.
Didn't have that home run ball.
Just man that home run just inside the party.
Yeah, one of the NFL leaders and air yards, and he shows you all of that with that three yard touchdown.
That was very weak.
It wasn't it. Steve O.
Um, Moving on to our next cell was Chicago Bears Wide receiver Alan Robinson hated having him in this cell category ever.
But for some reason, even though the man didn't can clear, clear, clear concussion protocol on until Saturday morning, he was projected to be wide receiver one Overall.
We had him ranked his wide receiver 18.
We gotta, right, because he was a lot closer to wide receiver 18 when he was a wide receiver.
One. He finished his wide receiver, 13.
Had a very nice day.
Six catches on seven targets, 87 yards and a score.
Uh, you know, I make jokes about the quarterback play, you know, it's he's never gonna be a wide receiver one overall if Midst, Robiskie or Nick Foles is his quarterback.
Plain and simple, but a rob is a rock solid wide receiver one all day because of the talent because of the target volume, you know, and the offense moves the ball well enough because of him, quite frankly, that he's gonna be in that back and wide receiver one conversation much more often than not.
Yeah, man, That was like you said, The quarterback play hasn't been great, but seeing him be able to put up that kind of production is fantastic.
So, uh, you know, being a being a back end wide receiver, one high end wide receiver to is it's great.
I would have taken that all day if he's on my team.
But, yeah, it gets a projection of WR one.
That's the reason why we all sold him so easy.
Call for sure. Yeah.
I'm sorry to interrupt, Steve, but if his projection would have been Wide receiver 18 like we had him, we would have bought that all day to it.
Would have been right on that as well.
Yeah, I have to say this one, um I didn't realize he cleared concussion protocol on Saturday because I didn't roster him anywhere.
I wasn't playing him anywhere, so I just, you know, kind of operated under the assumption that he was going to be out and then, you know, had a little bit of a power outage on Sunday due to the winds and was making arrangements and taking care of things.
Not watching football on my phone is a last resort.
And then when the powers, you know, back on and I'm in a situation where I could watch is like, Oh, Alan Robinson's playing football today.
So I mean, good for him and good for anyone that rostered him, but yeah, just copied by total surprise.
Yeah, I I got the news.
Luckily, on Saturday that he was active, and I was like, Well, if he's active, I'm starting him.
And he did pretty well for me.
And the total foresight challenge, which didn't the, uh, the Contender the total 14 force I go four and two in that way.
I was going to touch on that right here in the end, after we get through.
Sorry to steal a little bit of that.
Just occurred to me.
Uh, the last pair of teammates and the last guy that we had on the podcast this week was Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews.
His aggregate projection was tight end three total foresight was selling that we were all selling that We got it right.
End 21 just like Mark Keith's brownie suffered because of the play.
Lamar Jackson on Lee had three catches on six targets for 32 yards and no touchdowns at the tight end position.
You love seeing the target share, but the quality of those targets just was not there.
Like I said, we all got that one right.
Total foresight went eight and four this week.
That is the most important thing to me on this podcast.
You know, I also like, when I do well, I went 84 as well.
J unfortunately, continues to struggle on the wrong side of why don't I just go talk with total foresight? I'd be leading this thing.
You know, it makes me feel better that if I went against total foresight twice this week for the first time in weeks, and I did it twice and I went one and one.
So it makes me feel good to know that if I would have just went with total foresight, I would have been no better off than what I was this week.
But yeah, man, Yeah.
I would think twice about you know, contradicting total foresight as much as you have been comfortable doing recently.
Both went six and six on the year total foresight ISS 63 42 on these buys and sells with a winning percentage of 60%.
Uh, this has been, you know, I'm doing fine and Scott Fish Ball doing fine.
Total foresight, challenging my legal record.
It has been an absolute disaster, and despite all the success I have everywhere else, it's made for a kind of a miserable season.
But I will tell you what with all the time and effort we put into this podcast to be halfway through the season and be a 60% winning percentage.
That is something that does help that records thing just a little bit.
You ready for some injury updates? Yes, sir.
All right, let's go through the big names that picked up some injuries this week.
Calvin Ridley hurt his ankle and missed a large portion of their game.
All tests were negative.
Eso you're just gonna have to keep on eye on practice reports.
We don't know if he's going to miss time.
It doesn't look like it's going to be very lengthy if he does.
Also missed some time from his game with a bruise, but we saw what we've seen.
You know, we saw a J.
Brown miss a few weeks with a bad bone bruise.
So, you know, the expectation is we don't know yet how if he is going to miss time or, you know, if he's gonna able to make it back this week.
So another situation to keep an eye on as we have mentioned before, Kenny Golladay Hey.
Picked up a hip injury.
Uh, you know, they I believe they have a by this week.
Uh, did I make that right? No, that's not right.
No, it's not right that somebody else I was looking at.
So again, you know, I think the expectation is that he's probably gonna miss a couple three weeks.
Eso that's gonna impact Cem Cem rosters.
Um, Tevin Tevin Coleman, buddy, you know, he was finally back, uh, and you know, came into the game went right back out of the game.
I'm not sure that's gonna impact any rosters at this point, but his teammates surely will.
Uh, you know, he's gonna be It Sounds like he's gonna be placed on IR.
The expectation is the team expectation is it sounds like 6 to 8 weeks.
According to Mr Kittel, he only wants to miss two weeks.
So I think from what I read, they're gonna place him on IR.
So he at least has to quit pestering them and take three weeks off and get healthy.
So he's gonna be out of line ups.
Jimmy His teammate Jimmy Garoppolo, Uh, for the second time in three weeks didn't make it through an entire game.
Eso tweaked his ankle and I would imagine he's probably gonna end up missing a couple of weeks.
Some quick updates.
Devonta Freeman Still 1 to 2 weeks away from returning Deebo Samuel another 1 to 2 weeks away from returning Chris Carson should be back this week.
Uh, in the starting lineup.
Kenyan Drake still 2 to 4 weeks away.
Sammy Watkins Still another 1 to 2 weeks away.
Austin Eckel er still 3 to 4 weeks away.
Nick Chubb Sounds like still another 2 to 3 weeks away.
Unless you guys know any different CMC due back this week uh, Joe Mixon.
Sounds like he's gonna be back week, 10 Miles Sanders.
Sounds like he's gonna be back.
Mark Ingram is gonna be out 2 to 4 weeks.
Still Raheem Mostert Another 2 to 4 weeks, and, uh, Andy Dalton was gonna be back this week, but he has popped up on the old co vid positive testing report.
So a lot of names, man, I was just every week.
I e just you know, I appreciate your report, but I'm sick of all the names on the injury report, every single and honestly we've talked about like, there's names on that that none of us wanted to rely on this season.
And yet where we are were lying on these guys waiting for him to get back.
I mean, and Steve's gonna Steve's gonna touch on that when he talks about just how disgusting the waiver wire been is this week.
And I'm looking forward to sitting back and watching you goto work about that Week nine waiver wire. Steve, take it away.
Sir, I've said in the last couple of weeks that you know I'm like, this is kind of a nasty looking weak.
They've all been far better than what we're about to go through as far as this week goes, at least in my personal opinion, I think you guys that agree with me pretty largely and J you mentioned that, you know, when you think about the teams are gonna be on by this week, you do have Cincinnati, Cleveland and Philadelphia and the L A Rams.
But those first three teams I mentioned, that's where you have your Miles Sanders, Sanders, Nick Chubb, Joe Mixon who have all been on the shelf.
And, you know, hopefully they'll get right.
They'll be ready to go coming off of their bye weeks.
But still fancy managers have been using, you know, the backup running backs in those situations.
And, of course, Kareem Hunt in Cleveland.
So anyways, I just want to throw out there.
All these guys were rostered on 45% of Yahoo leagues.
Um, went with that number this week just because there was there was a lot of names that could be thrown out there that are kind of all all over the place roster share, and I'm like, Well, you know what a 45% there.
There's more of them available than not.
But you know, just really don't like going over 50% because it's I don't find it's that helpful for a lot of people.
So, you know, if you're thinking, why didn't I talk about like Phillip Lindsay or J.
Dobbins? That's because they're rostered well over 45%.
So, um, as always, based on a $100 fab budget, if I mentioned that you might want to spend up to 10% on the guy, that's a $10 bid.
So now that we have that out of the way to me, I think that probably the best shot anyone could take and it really might boil down to a one week rental, maybe more.
But just looking at it from this week at running back, your guy J J.
Michael Hasty, running back of the San Francisco 40 Niners roster and 42% of leagues, and I mean it's it's really kind of a simple is just a handful of factors.
Obviously, you mentioned it. Tevin Coleman.
He's at least out this, you know, short turnaround time.
They play Thursday night, at least as of right now unless Covic tests change that.
But we haven't heard anything to make us feel otherwise at this point.
And then, of course, where he most er Jeff Wilson Jr.
Both on IR we saw dead legs like Cannon get his three carries.
So you know it was Faras who's going to be the guy to carry the load on the ground against the Green Bay Packers, who can just get demolished on the ground by teams and did so by this very team and last season's NFC championship being by the way, To me, it's it's hasty and all that being said, I don't wanna probably spend more than 10 to 15% of my fab on him.
But thinking that he has the potential to, you know, being a nice crust spot against Green Bay plus again, Green Bay, Um, Garoppolo is not playing Kittles not playing.
They're just really thin when it comes to the passing game, and it makes no sense for them to try to throw against Green Bay either.
So that's probably like my top ad for the week, and then it just goes downhill very quickly.
Um, so you have Jordan Wilkins, who had a really nice game for the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday.
Onley roster than 3% of leagues extremely available.
We heard that Jonathan Taylor is nursing some kind of an ankle injury, and Wilkins did far out touch Jonathan Taylor.
Uh, this Sunday.
So there's still gonna be a lot of ifs Watts when it comes to what you would want to.
I kind of bank on from Jordan welcomes this week.
It's not a good matchup.
They played Baltimore, but like Jay and I were talking about before we got on.
I don't know how much of Baltimore's defense is going to be off of the Cove in 19 list to participate in the game this Sunday, so that could get definitely give him a Bumpus faras the matchups concern.
But we don't know what Taylor's ankle injury actually looks like, and we don't know, you know well, Wilkins have a hot enough hand to get the touches that you need to be comfortable to play him this week.
If you do feel like you are Jordan Wilkins Truther, then maybe you'd want to put up a 10% like fab bid.
But again, just know that you could go into this game starting him, and you know, he amounts to 10 touches for 34 yards and it's scoreless.
So just know that that is in the range of outcomes.
But we're all hurting for running backs and a lot of leagues.
So it's kind of just like calling your shot and similar to this next guy.
Gus Edwards, the other Baltimore running back on Lee.
We know, though he has no passing upside whatsoever, but he should be good for 12 to 16 carries.
But it's against the Indianapolis Colts, who we just talked about in this podcast, extremely tough run team to run the ball against.
So, you know, for me, it's like you have to kind of feel like Edwards is gonna find his way into the end zone to make him somebody that you'll feel good about playing and again that if you're running, running back, desperate, and that's also if we know with cer*****y the marketing group is not gonna play, it should go without saying, but just want to throw that out there.
Then maybe you would spend up to a 10% did on him is well, And then here's where we get into a nice, lovely handful of Don't spend more than 5% of your fab.
If you don't want to, just wait till waivers clear and see if you could just go add them for free so you'll feel better about having done so.
But we'll start out with Jordan Howard and Doormat Brita.
We just learned I saw this afternoon Myles Gaskin is headed for the I r is gonna be out a minimum of three weeks.
We saw the the easing of to A into his NFL career this past Sunday.
I'm sure his passing volume will go up now.
Some people think, Hey, they're gonna have to rely on the ground.
I just think, Hey, that makes the offense that much more unattractive to try to operate through Matt Brita and Jordan Howard.
So they're both.
Surprisingly, I checked this right before we got on there, both roster than 18% of leagues.
I did not think they'd both be that high.
Um, but this but they're still readily available.
You could kind of make your prediction on who the bell cow will be.
I don't know if that will matter.
So for me, it's no more than no more than a 5% fab.
Similar with Michael P. Rime.
Um, he's only scored over 10 PPR points once a season for the Jets.
He's getting touches that one game he got in the end zone, the Jets don't get in the end zone.
So again, you're kind of banking on him, finding his way across the goal line for that to be somebody you could feel OK about putting in your lineup and very similar than with the next guy, Wayne Gallman, running back of the New York Giants roster and 42% of leagues.
If Devonta Freeman is gonna miss again this upcoming week, he'll get a lion's share of the work out of the backfield.
And you know he does a fairly good job of, you know, providing some kind of a floor and PPR formats.
He does catch a handful of balls out of the backfield every time he starts, so that's good.
But the matchup against Washington not particularly good at all a za faras running backs are concerned.
So again, now you're just looking to fill put a body in your lineup and hope for the best outcome, which is still a very low ceiling.
But just get some kind of a floor out of these guys and again, 5%.
Now here's a couple guys that are Green Bay Packer running backs.
That is of probably, what, 24 hours ago, no one really knew who they were, but with news that A.
Dillan is ruled out being on the Cova 19 list and as a close contact Jamal Williams, who had been filling in very admirably for the injured Erin Jones.
Um, knowing all three of those guys, well, two of them are out.
Definitely, and it's not looking good for Erin Jones.
At this point in time, you have Tyler Ervin running back of the Green Bay Packers and Dexter Williams running back of the Green Bay Packers, both rostered 0% so very available.
Just give you a quick run down Tyler Urban.
He seems more like the pass catching scat kind of back that, given Aaron Rodgers skill set, might be the best bet.
You know, because we're talking full PPR here.
Uh, you know, he's a return specialist for the Packers now, Dexter Williams on, by the way, his 27 year old Morva journeymen running back around the NFL.
As you might imagine, I think I read that he had 10 career carries and then Dexter Williams has five career carries, but he's at least the younger guy that maybe they might, who was promoted from the practice squad at the position that they might wanna.
You know, just hey, let's make the make lemons out of lemonade or lemonade out of lemons and see what this kid can dio second year running back, 23 year old out of Notre Dame.
So how that's going to shake out Thursday night is anyone's guess.
I'm glad that I'm not gonna have to personally worry about it, so I'll just I'll just sit back and watch the show.
And I would be remiss if I don't mention that you know Malcolm Brown Cam Acres to L.
A Ram running backs. They're both on buys this week.
If you feel confident about Darryl Henderson missing time, which I don't necessarily think he will, we haven't heard anything about it being a significant fi injury but their office week.
So just know if you wanna add either of those guys.
You might be turning around dropping them before you would ever utilize them anyways.
But, you know, maybe a 5% bid on those guys.
So that's that's really how disgusting the running back position is.
I've I've never gone through names before and just been so like, Oh goodness, I don't want to start any of them ever anywhere but sadly, in the foresight challenge, some of these guys I'm gonna be rolling out.
But now, wide receiver I am.
We've talked about it.
I feel like on any given week, you could go out there and find somebody who's going to give you some kind of like a target floor that should turn into some kind of PPR points.
And so I was really trying to like targets.
Um, guys, that seems like they have a little bit more upside than that.
Or at least could be guys that are, like, not even just by week, Fillon's but potential to be weekly starters anyways.
And that's where I'll start out with who I feel like is a big winner today, seeing the trade deadline come and go, and that's Green Bay Packers wide receiver Alan Lazard.
Uh, he's still only 34% rostered and leagues, and, you know, with how cautious Green based training staff is, they might not have him.
So we practice last week practicing this week.
They might not have him suit up on this Thursday night game just because he would get that extended rest going into, you know, the following week.
But if you recall through three weeks playing in the slot, which is where he'll go right back to for Aaron Rodgers, you know your 254 yards in a Paris scores, which you know what paces out the 1300 yards and 10 touchdowns on a full season.
Um, not saying you would expect that every week, but with the way that Aaron Rodgers has been playing, you know, to me he's worth taking a shot on and just stashing for a week.
If he doesn't play this particular week and just see, see if that connection just picks right back up because they do desperately need another wide receiver.
And maybe that was some of the turmoil within the Packers organization is toe why they didn't pursue Ah will Fuller harder than they did is maybe a belief and Aaron Rodgers belief in Alan Lazard.
So, um, you know, he's my top ad, and it's for that upside reason that said, I still wouldn't go crazy and spend more than 10 or 15% of my fab on him, though.
So next up Sterling Shepard, wide receiver in the New York Giants, he's up to 43% rostered, Um, and you know it za disgusting offense, It really is.
But at the end of the day, when he's healthy and that's another big like caveat when it comes to Sterling Shepard because you never know when he might leave a game after one quarter and, you know, goose egg and a fantasy game, and that's always like a tough thing to swallow.
But the last two weeks he's seen 18 targets scored, at least 15.
4 PPR points in both contests since coming back to the line up.
He's clearly a guy that Daniel Jones he always had, just, you know, in short stints of them both being on the field together and still seems to, um, rely on Sterling Shepard.
So if he's out there still in your league and you need a wide receiver.
He's somebody that I don't see why, given what we've seen, and I know it's it's gonna sound bad coming out of my mouth, and no one wants to hear it.
You can start him as a wide receiver.
Three a safe one if you're not looking for upside out of the position, Um, and for me, that probably is worth a 10 12.
If you're really wide receiver in 80 a 15% bid, because as long as he's healthy and in the lineup and I do want to point out, it's been in two really tough wide receiver matchups for the guy.
So, um, and he should have better days ahead as far as the matchups he gets.
And so maybe he could give you a little bit higher ceiling and some of those and then, um, Gosha.
Ah, preseason 2020 rookie darling because of one of the darling offenses we thought we'd have.
I'm talking about your Philadelphia Eagles there, Jay, and I know it's a guy, though, that you didn't particularly care board.
But Jalen rigor, um, he's back from injury, and we saw we saw the game, Um, on Sunday night earliest, I did half of it.
They didn't need to have much of an offense against the Dallas Cowboys.
They didn't need to worry about trying to air the ball out too much.
But he did come in second on the team and targets with six targets.
And given just how injured they are all over the field, whether it tight end, running back, wide receiver, anyone that Carson Wentz can throw the ball to, they've just been in and out of the lineup.
So Jalen Rigor, you know, especially get that he's gonna be a stash, right? He's gonna buy this week, but they're going to come out.
They have the Giants very beatable secondary, and maybe he's able to kind of explode down the stretch and, you know, give fantasy managers everywhere kind of what we were hoping for a lot earlier in the season.
So again, just more of like when I'm looking at a lot of other names like thinking of possible upside, I'm not nearly as confident in it.
You know, Lazard and Shepherd, but for me, if you could pick him up and stash them for, like, a 5% bid, and you know you have the spot to do so I don't see anything wrong with doing that.
And again, he's only 24% rostered.
So he's definitely out there and should continue.
Continue to see a lot of targets and air yards as long as he's healthy and on the field.
And I'm not gonna get into any kind of specifics with these guys.
But you know, there's there's the Tim Patrick's, The Cool Beazley's Rashard Higgins Russell Gauge.
You might get a little bit of a bump walk, Calvin Ridley's out, but then again, I don't know how much his production, um, was kind of helped out by having both Jones and really on the field.
But that's just another name to throw out there.
I will say before I go into the tight ends, there is no quarterback I can in good faith recommend anybody consider picking up that's roster and under 45 or in less than 45% of leagues.
Um, I I've seen some stuff on Twitter Twitter about Drew lock because he gets the Falcons, but it's Drew lock, you know, he's shown us, I think in his career so far.
Like to fantasy.
Okay, worthy games on the rest has just been shoot your week in the foot type of performances, so I can't recommend that for anybody.
So there is no quarterback waiver at for this week, and it's tight and again, bearing in mind.
These are guys that air roster and 45% lesser leagues guys.
Logan Thomas Um Washington tight Washington football team tight end on the roster in 23% of leagues would probably be higher, except they are coming off a bye this week, so I'm sure that's going to shoot up by tomorrow morning.
But he's out there, and he's available for you to put in a a bit.
If you like Thio, he's only been getting about four or five targets a week, but they've been really efficient coming from Kyle out, and he's been getting in the end zone.
He's been scoring double digit PPR points.
It's not going to feel good, but if you do need a tight end to get you through these by weeks, he's worth picking up and throwing in there.
Um, Washington is not going to be in favorable game scripts every week.
So we're gonna have that week where they do have to target him.
You know, 678 times.
And he could actually give you a lot more favorable output in that situation.
And then, uh, for the George Kittle roster managers out there, Jordan reads, activated off the I R.
Practiced in a limited basis.
Um, today has to be ready to go here Thursday night, so that probably a risky pick up.
But I prefer him over Roswell.
Lee, if you know you're looking at just saying hey, just because of the lack of passing options in San Francisco, whoever the tight end is, maybe you think they're worth a flyer.
They're rostered and zero and then 3% of leagues, so they're highly available.
But I only want to talk about putting in a fab bid.
Really? On either of those guys, I'd say Just wait until because really, it's only gonna be the George Kittle managers that air probably interested in those two guys.
Probably until we're getting close to the kickoff on that game and that position has been solidified and you can go out and pick up that guy in streaming for George Kill if you don't have a better option.
But that's the only reason I want to bring up those two guys just because I know there's a lot of people myself included who are feeling the loss of George Kittel this week.
And then this one is more of Ah, stash.
But Austin Hooper He's only roster than 39% of leagues, and, um, we've heard that he will definitely be back coming off the bye week.
And he's somebody that, you know, we've seen his target share.
Just keep up ticking up until when, you know, Well, he had to miss with surgery.
So with O b j out, he's somebody that if you're hurting for tight end, you could pick him up now and it's probably gonna be his chief.
Is this gonna be because a lot of people are gonna look to pick him up next week? So it's more of a stash right there.
And then if you could go get Washington's defense just because the one thing they do really well is they get pressure on the quarterback and it's against Daniel Jones and we've seen Daniel Jones folded all season long under pressure is, I mean, his lines terrible.
And that's what you want to target.
So you might not think Washington football teams good unnecessarily think they are.
But their defense is good enough to score you fantasy points when you're playing against the likes of Daniel Jones in New York Giants.
So, uh, there you have it.
Sorry, it seemed to take a little bit of time to go through, but like I said, there's just a lot of guys this week that air kind of worth mentioning and that you know our worth consideration and just kind of depends on what you believe in and where you lie on each and every one of them and their particular situation so in the eye of the beholder.
But hopefully all out there listening don't have to go down many of these roads this week.
Yeah, I can't remember what hilarious comedy this is from, but desperation is a stinky cologne, and sometimes sometimes, unfortunately, some of these nasty names that you give out our names that people are required to go grab, just fill out the roster because of Cove.
It because of by weeks because of all these stupid injuries.
So, uh, you know, it's helpful information.
It's interesting information for sure.
Um, hopefully you don't have to rely on too much of those muckety muck names, but, you know, it is what it is.
You do what you gotta dio to get yourself a fantasy win from one week to the next.
So either you guys got anything before we get out of here, I was gonna say, speaking of fantasy winds, just touching on the fantasy foresight challenged Week eight was Rivalry Week, as we mentioned before.
Team Foresight goes four and two against the challengers.
Take that, challengers.
But now our buddy Travis actually leads the overall standings at six and two, nipping at his heels a mere seven points back.
Our guy at foresight family.
Uh, we have another team member at four at FF Focus, uh, in fourth place.
Ben, you're in fifth place in the playoff position at five and three, and then Steve and I and at foresight FF PTR guy Russ, all three of us, one game back of the playoffs.
So, still in the hunt, all six of us three of us in the playoff spot.
Three of us, one game back.
So I would really like there to be at least four of the six playoff spots occupied by team foresight.
We need a team foresight trophy this year.
TRAV is gonna be tough to beat, but I think we've got some some pretty studly teams toe to go and give him a run for his money.
So with that said, we will be back with you all at 10 a.m.
Sunday morning to review Ah, whole new list of buys and sells verse.
Their aggregate projections can't wait.
And that wraps up this episode of fantasy foresight the podcast way.

I've put the put together some some lineups on some of these weeks and of course, gotten, um lucky.
I was gonna say if I'm gonna get destroyed by somebody had obviously are you guys? And if I'm
