Welcome to Quick Takes the show with me, Luke Backman As I give you my view on the biggest stories in sports during the live from Arlington, Texas, I'll be covering baseball, basketball, football and all the most important breaking news from this week's action.
I'll give you the facts straight up and then tell you what's right.
What's wrong? Without further ado, let's dive into today's topics.
So for today, well, for the topics we will do.
The usual weekly past week of football so weak eight will recap and cover some of the more important games that happened over the weekend.
Big game last happened last night with the Buccaneers and Giants surprising game talk about that A little bit.
We'll talk about NBA Draft is about coming up on two weeks away, and we'll definitely get into that.
Look what LA lottery order More mostly, I'll give you a few opinions on some of the top prospects.
Some players, I'd like dislike, wouldn't say dislike, but have concerns about.
I'll give you my opinion on them and then we're gonna finish.
Usually, we have been talking baseball and then did the Jordan LeBron debate this week I'm I'm a huge boxing fan.
Excuse me, boxing fan, and we're gonna finish out with a little bit of boxing.
I don't know if any of you saw the Vontae Davis fight, but I'll just give you a little bit of the hot take that people are gonna be for non boxing fans.
People are gonna be like, Wow, but if you're not a boxing fan, you should for sure, look atyou.
Vontae Davis says he has the ability to become the next Floyd Mayweather.
The great Heat potentially could even surpass Floyd Mayweather.
I'll get into that all when I get to the third and final topic of the day, and we'll close out with that.
As I know, a lot of you aren't big boxing fans or most of you probably don't watch boxing is.
This was a pay per view fight, so we'll end up with that.
But Dr Davis has the chance to become Floyd Mayweather or better.
So with all that said, let's just happened.
Our first topic and that's the week eight recap, uh, looking around lead.
We had the Falcons on Thursday Night Football against the Panthers.
Falcons were able to avoid another comeback when able to pick off Teddy Bridge waiter uh, graduate er Bridgewater for a late interception on the final drive to secure an eight point win, 25 17 in Carolina against a division rival.
I still don't see either of the teams making much noise in the South, but for sure knocks the Panthers down and brings the Falcons.
At least morale up is that that's what they needed.
The Falcons absolutely upset over the Packers in Green Bay.
Falcons win that 1 28 to 22.
That puts the Bears in a much better position, as if we're looking at the top of the NFC North.
Really, it's the Packers embarrassed division to see who wins this one, right? The lines were three and four on the Vikings or two and five.
I don't expect them Thio make any noise at all a za potentially winning the division coming back.
Bears played a great game this weekend, getting that one.
They gave the Saints a run for their money.
Well, Lutz had to really, uh, come come through clutch.
Even after he missed a field goal early in the game.
So they lose, but Packers Air five and two Bears are five and three.
As much as I like the Bears, I won't lie.
Matt Nagy is growing growing on me as a excuse me as a head coach and benching Travis Key.
I was never a fan of Mitchell.
Tavisca thought he was taken way too high and benching him really showed a I'm not gonna die on a quarterback as the Jets have done.
So I'm gonna we'll talk more about the Jets Thursday.
I'm already angry about them, but Nagy benching Travis Key absolutely made a difference, and it was seen as the Bears went on a run, but they have lost two straight.
I still see this is the Packers division.
The Packers seemed to be the better team at this point, even though they lost.
I still see the Packers is the better team.
He'll play better if there's no doubt about it.
Rogers is gonna put.
He didn't play awful either.
If if you went against Alvin cooking fantasy, you know Dalvin Cook had a great game, had a spectacular game, and that's not always going to be the case for the Vikings, and it just happened.
It so happened to be the case for the Vikings Cook, and it happened to be against the division leader.
I still see this is the Packers division to lose.
Um, they look primed to be Thio.
Get a home playoff game, and I expect them to the Bangles, upsetting the Titans.
The tendons have lost two in a row now, Joe Burrow continuing to prove why, in my opinion, and I imagine many others, he's the rookie of the year offensive rookie of the year threw for 249 yards with two touchdowns and 70.
3 completion percentage.
That's as a rookie who you can't ask for anything better with an old line that isn't the greatest receivers.
You see him, you have one game.
He was on the field saying, Trade me.
I can't wait to be out of here.
Joe Burrow is making the best of the situation in Cincinnati.
Obviously, they're far away from being close to even contenders in their own division.
But Joe Burrow is really that next step that you need a quarterback in the league.
There's no doubt about it.
You need to have a quarterback Thio even have a chance in the NFL and the Bangles look to have a quarterback, the flip side, the titles lose another one.
You wonder if it just coming off that, uh, real high intense game really octane game against the Steelers past week.
And it kind of just drained them and they just overlooked the Bangles.
We'll have to see how the Titans come out this week.
I see what they're really made of it if they can continue on being if Tannehill and especially we we know what we're gonna get out of Derrick Henry, put Tannehill, especially we're gonna have to see what he's made of and what this Tennessee Titans team is made up because I like my very I love my credible and I expect him to bound, have his team ready to bounce back.
So we'll see how they perform this next weekend.
What? Because we'll get into this more in depth.
On Thursday, Chiefs absolutely blew my jets l 35 to 9 my homes had when I had my homes and fantasy so and I know I didn't have my homes I had Lamar Jackson excellent on my homes last year.
Uh, Lamar almost cost me the game, but I'm good.
My dad had Mahomes, that's why, but my homes had 416 yards, five touchdowns.
Absolutely torched the Jets defense, as I expected.
Deep balls, toe Hardman, Tyree.
Kill all over the place. Travis.
I do have Travis Kelsey. That's who I have on the Chiefs.
Um, not much to say.
Jets are still the worst team in the league.
Surprisingly, the Chiefs only at 50 yards rushing total.
But really, he they could have just thrown it every possession and chance they could have scored a touchdown on every possession.
Colts win really big margin, 41 21 against the Lions, Probably the game of the week.
I'd say Here is Steelers versus the Ravens division game.
You saw that Steelers won that 1 28 to 24 or even had a 17 to 7 lead on one point.
And the Steelers have proven Steelers are not.
I wouldn't say they're undefeated, their unbeaten, but they are not the team that they don't look complete as a You would think an undefeated team would look at this point.
So just having great Roethlisberger has absolutely proved me wrong.
I thought Big Ben was really wash.
I didn't think he had much going for him, especially after the injury last year.
He was having a hard time throwing the ball in practice, but he and him and the Steelers have turned it around.
But really, if we're looking at this game because the Steelers air not the best team in the league, nor are they the most complete, so they just one.
They just want their finding a way to win.
But I don't look at the Steelers winning this game.
I look at the Ravens losing this game.
I am a Lamar Jackson fan.
I am a Baltimore Ravens.
But I watched the Ravens.
I like the Ravens.
This is another big time game that Labonte Lamar has not really not showed out four turnovers for Lamar himself.
We've talked about how he cannot win against Mahomes.
Look at his record against my homes.
Mahomes has his number, playoffs, anything alright, so season, not playoffs.
Excuse me, but this was a game where you're like, OK, it's not against my homes.
So we're looking at Lamar thinking he's the M V P he's gonna show out there.
Steeler team is not the most complete, so he's gonna he's gonna be ableto expose the defense a little bit.
They were able to in the first half, not exposed, but they're going to take a lead, really put their set.
The tone for the game, as I told you, was 17 7 and Lamar did not have a great.
He threw a pick. He threw an interception.
Then he threw another ill advised pick.
He looked over, I believe, to his left, and he just tried to loft it over a defender to his receiver, who was The defender was coming.
His receiver was getting sandwiched by two defenders, and he tried to.
He thought he could loft it over and threw it right to the defender.
It was a really ill advised throw in which the Steelers came down, scored a touchdown, really got the momentum, got back in the game, and that one really was all Lamar.
From that point on, if you look at kind of the how things went.
I would put it on that one.
Pick Lamar through right, uh, to to more fumbles.
He had a total of four.
He cannot be a star quarterback.
He cannot because a lot of people of it chopped up the criticism to him being right.
People talk about the criticisms. Credit.
Criticism was always Oh, he should be a wide receiver.
Should be running back.
Then he really he silenced them.
He silenced that.
We're throwing the most touchdowns last year, winning the M v p he absolute silence that now the criticism needs to be I for all.
I didn't doctor.
I didn't think Lamar should change toe wide receiver running back.
That's just what other pundits thought.
Oh, but now the criticism I'm saying is, OK, Lamar, you've had three years now.
We've given you a pass.
You wanted BP Rookie year.
It was it wasn't necessarily your team to be.
Exactly. You had to come in for Flacco.
Everything right? Thanks for the thumbs off.
Now it's your team, the offenses you.
It's a running offense with passing you through the most passing touchdowns last year.
Now you have to winning big games you have to produce in big games.
You can't be losing these games to the Steelers at home in Baltimore.
Granted, he did lead them down the field at the end.
Just wasn't enough you through.
I'm not gonna give him go in on him on this one is the Steelers had eight men back, basically guarding the end zone within 20 yards.
It's hard to make that throw and make a catch.
You know, make a pick.
Patrick made an absolutely great play to save a touchdown because Fitzpatrick isn't there.
The Ravens scored the touchdown on that.
Snead had the ball in their projected have the ball, but make a Fitzpatrick came in a great way toe.
Deflect the ball and the Steelers won.
But you have to do a lot more.
You can't have 17 to 7 lead and only score one more touchdown after that.
After the Steelers had already taken the lead.
You got to continue to build.
This offense is made to a TV perfectly for you.
Hardball has made the offense.
The offensive coordinator has made it.
Lamar, you have to start winning big games.
If not, then how can we compare you to, Ah, Patrick Mahomes, which is unfair? No, which is unfair in the fact that my homes, I'd say, is more of a true quarterback.
But you're gonna always be compared to my homes.
And you've talked about him.
You have to start producing in these big games, and if not, then you're gonna potentially have to be taken down.
It's here until you prove you can win these big games against my homes against division leaders against contenders and a F. C.
You can't you can't lose to the Titans in the first round.
I'm not saying the Titans in particular, but lesser teams in the first round, and we'll have to see with this season progressing and the playoffs, the playoffs will be huge for Lamar's resume for career resume.
Dolphins win against the Rams, 28 to 17 to of got his first start.
If you saw Aaron Donald, I was scared, because why are you putting to throwing to it in to start against Aaron, Donald and that defense? Aaron.
Donald, Welcome to the lead.
If you saw that hit, it forced a fumble from to, uh but to it didn't have to do much.
He only ended the game when 93 passing yards the Dolphins won by 11.
Golf at a hard time against Brian Floors is, uh, blitz defense as Miami really blitzed, Um, and they got they made cough throat, uh, throw an interception, then the defense.
If you watch the replay, it may golf rethink on the second time, which allowed the sack and then strip sack, which turned into a 90 plus yard touchdown.
Eso they're able toe return that touchdown.
The defense did a lot.
They returned the fumble.
They got the interception.
Not the defense, but special teams returned a punt for a touchdown, so we didn't have to do much, Which is nice.
He threw a touchdown pass.
Really? Ah, slant pass within five yards and the Dolphins were able to win, uh, kind of piggybacking off of that Bills and Patriots talking about a F C East Cameroon fumbles late, real late as they were driving inside the red zone as the Bills come up with the 24 to 21 lead, not lead when it looks like the Bills division now with the Patriots drop in that game.
In my opinion, I think the only real competition for the Bills in the FCS is going to be the Dolphins, which I don't believe will be.
Much of a challenge is the Dolphins were still look, they're looking to the future.
They're not looking at present right now. They're looking to the future.
We went to a so the bill should cruise to the end of the season.
Really? Has they are.
They should win this game.
It's just how is Josh Allen gonna get back on track like he was the first four games of the season? If not, then the Bills are looking at a potential early round exit in the playoffs.
Rangers want real sloppy game in Cleveland.
If you saw Baker didn't play great, Baker hasn't played great and regular wind.
Except last game you played.
They played relatively well last game, but Baker has not played well.
Why is he going to play? Well, uh, dreadful when? But the Raiders come out with that win.
Huge get braiders. Keep going.
Another drew lock.
248 passing yards, three touchdowns leads the Broncos from down 21 with seven minutes left in the third toe.
A comeback win and go over there Adjustment Herbert and the Chargers.
One take away I had was early in the game.
Chargers and Justin Herbert look great.
I'm like, Wow, Justin Herbert was the real deal.
Charges weren't able to do it in which they traded Desmond King yesterday for sixth round pick.
I don't know what they're doing because this defense is not 300% defense.
They're gonna throw in the field every get every time there when James is still out.
So I don't know why you're trading Desmond King and All Pro cornerback.
My guess is some rift in the locker room had to cause that.
Other than that, I'm not a fan of that.
Trade it all, but maybe a little overreaction after he blew a 21 point lead.
Talked about it since when a nail biter against the Bears as well.
Let's have a field goal to win the game.
Seahawks won by 10 37 27 against the 40 Niners score would indicate it was closer than it was.
It really was not Steelers.
I mean not Steelers Seahawks jumped out till I believe like 30 to 7 lead and 49 is kind of just clawed back.
It really was never closed.
Interesting thing Niners lose both George Kittel and Jimmy Garoppolo for at least six weeks each, as this team has been marred by injuries for the entirety of the season.
As you feel bad.
But there's some problems, not just with injuries.
I would just say chemistry, as a team with in San Francisco is, they'll have to look at quickly going over the other scores.
Eagles, uh, beat the Cowboys.
I want to say routed, but it really was a real sloppy game equals 1 23 to 9.
Not much talk about is the NFC least proves that it is the worst division in the Excuse me National Football League again.
And then last night, Buccaneers beat the Giants, 25 to 23.
I'd like to think the Buccaneers just overlook the Giants.
It as the Giants were a two point conversion away from time to this game.
Great, you saw Brady slam is a helmet on the bench.
I just think the Buccaneers might have overthought the Giants which caused to this close game.
Daniel Jones didn't play awful.
He did have two picks, but he threw for over 250 yards along with two touchdowns.
Brady, 279 2 touchdowns.
Your own receptions? What about does it for a week? What was it eight done with half.
We're more than halfway through on this season.
So there we go, moving over the MBA.
Now we're about two weeks away from actually the MBA draft, which is exciting.
They're still talking about scheduling an MBA day.
Hopefully, that gets scheduled soon.
It's looking like it's looking at this point, like December 22nd as the start date for the MBA.
We'll have to see.
But we know the draft is coming up two weeks or so looking.
I'm looking at Kevin O Connor.
He's from the ringer, and I, like a lot of a lot of stuff, is really good.
So we're gonna look at some of his projections on players.
Mock draft may basically his mock draft, and I'm gonna give you opinion on some of players.
But first I'm gonna familiar familial your eyes.
You with this order, the lottery order.
I'll go from 1 to 14 here.
Just real quick around him.
All got Minnesota with the first pick.
Golden State following Charlotte Third, Chicago fourth, Cleveland fifth, Atlanta six, Detroit seventh.
New York eighth, Washington Wizards ninth.
Phoenix Suns 10th, San Antonio 11th Sacramento 12 New Orleans 13.
And then Boston's is the 14th pick.
That's from trade with Memphis.
Okay, that's just quickly the what? Lottery over.
Um, right now I'm seeing multiple projection projection.
Seeing Anthony Edwards going to number one to Minnesota.
I like Anthony said.
I'm glad that he actually is going one and just I guess he was one of the players I'm going to talk about.
So it's kind of Segways perfectly.
I don't like the I don't like one, really.
I don't like the draft pick by Minnesota at all reason being, Why did you trade for D'Angelo? Russell.
You wanted to pair him with Cat, right? Why are you bringing in a ball dominant rookie who's going to have to play the point? They list him as a shooting guard, but I don't believe he's a shooting guard.
Anthony Edwards is.
Believe it or not, I steroid it up.
I'm not saying obviously take steroids or nothing.
I'm just saying he's built bigger than Russell Westbrook, and you're gonna bring him in.
For what reason? Because he's not a shooting guard.
He's Anthony Edwards.
My biggest problem with him is he still has to develop a shot.
His shot, if you look at it.
I was watching the clutch sports pro day they had last week, and Anthony Edwards is part of it.
His shot does not look complete.
Yet it does not look all the way Smooth doesn't look like as the best flow on it, which scares me.
It was Obviously I know he's going to develop it.
It's gonna It's gonna be fine, but you're bringing in a point guard shooting guard value traded for D'Angelo Russell It really just kind of it.
Makes me wonder why you even trade for Russell.
If you knew you were going to go lean the directions of going a point guard in the draft.
Personally, you traded Andrew Wiggins, uh, to the Warriors.
So you're without a wing.
Really? I'm going o be topping as the number one pick.
He's from Dayton, his first I looked at very highly for going top five.
Potentially, he's really falling down a little quietly.
Not anything huge, but stop.
It is falling down, but I believe topping would be a great fit.
Obviously, a rookie is not gonna make too much of an impact.
But to slide into where Andrew Wiggins left because it's Wiggins wasn't getting much production.
And that's been everyone's problem with Wiggins.
Number one pick with a very lackluster work ethic.
So you're gonna have to see where Minnesota goes on this one.
And depending on Minnesota goes, I really don't think I should change Golden States of mind.
Also with Minnesota, there's rumors that they're looking at trying to trade the number one pick.
I could see that.
Because if you have both Cat and D'Angelo Russell, you're looking at potentially playoffs now.
You're looking at making the playoffs now, So look to get you another piece to help establish you to get to the playoffs, Okay? Golden State wise.
If they don't trade it, I would love, love, love to see James Wiseman warrior.
Okay, not only I love James Wiseman.
I love this game.
Really? You look at him.
He's not your traditional 73 center, and you say that about all the centers these days.
But that's just how it is that, right? Wiseman? He can shoot the three, which, if you know the Golden State Warriors, you know that fits in perfectly with them.
Wiseman consent to step out and shoot the three.
Why would you draft a guy like Lemelle a ball or if you want to? I know it's way too high in the draft to go for this guy, but unicycle Korea Type down Low Punisher.
I don't see the Warriors trying to make a run at a point guard or high topic.
Excuse me. Hi top player.
As in like point Guard, wise for shooting guard wise.
So I think James Wiseman re awesome.
I know he didn't play much of Memphis.
Obviously, N c A.
Came down on him about, like, punishment about Penny Hardaway potentially paying his family or providing hot money in some sort.
It was suspended for ah, good amount of games that you just decided.
I think I'm going toe, actually.
Okay, Work out for the rest of the college.
I want to go through this so I'd like to see more of him.
But we're gonna have to say I think he would be perfect to step out and step in with warriors.
Really looking around.
You could see, uh how do you pronounce his name? Only.
Hey, watched his nickname is big go because a neca Okinawa.
I totally mismanaged That mispronounced that. But that's okay.
C. He was from Chino Hills.
That might be how you remember him.
If you watched any games with Melo Lonzo? He was the big guy. Number 21.
Really big force.
And he's in this draft.
You might be the best all around big men in this game right in this draft.
So you could look to see him going.
I don't see him going too high.
I want to say bulls because they drafted window Carter Jr.
The other the other year or Atlanta because Atlanta has, um, what's his name? John Collins.
Atlanta might try and pair another guard with trade young.
See how that explosion in the back of the explosion in the backcourt could work.
Um, so you have to see how they work out with that.
Charlotte potentially could work out.
He's really If he doesn't get drafted higher, he might drop.
And really the big the biggest name here in the draft is Lemelle a ball.
Um, I've been a fan of all the ball brothers.
I was a fan. Alonso.
Um I thought his shot was gonna I thought a shot was fine in college.
Honestly, Mechanics wise? No, but I thought he could make a shot.
Is prove me wrong.
Not shooting at a very high clip all throughout his career so far.
I like and I like Lamela ball.
I'm sold on the mellow.
He's 6667 point guard.
Range. Not a great consistent shot.
A great range, right? Where does he line end up? Chicago? No, Because you have Kobe.
What? You drafted him last year? Charlotte.
I would like there's a chance there.
But you have Davante Graham who? Devante Graham and scary Terry.
Terry Rozier, who you signed last year.
You're going to see how you How would you feel them in there? Or if you just wanna overhaul and not use those point guards.
Then you could do that.
Atlanta Trae Young Detroit In New York You heard LaVar Ball say this the other day.
He wants Lemelle Oh, in Detroit or New York, and those could be two to places that need it.
As a New York Knicks fan has a Lemelle a ball fan.
I just want him to fall to eight to New York, Please.
I don't care about his loud mouth.
Father, give me something.
Okay, because R.
Barrett isn't cutting it.
You give you? I missed out on John Moran and Zion last year.
Please let me get Lemelle a ball as much as he might.
Distraction he might bring.
I would love to see Lemelle Lavalin links uniforms.
Okay, looking a lot of other players.
One player that sticks out for me is R.
Uh, I love Hampton.
Actually, I actually watched his last high school game.
He's from Texas and I watched his last high school game before he went overseas.
Anton's gonna have to learn how toe really get his jumper going.
It's kind of a weird motion double.
I want to say double clutch, but has a hitch in it.
He wants to be a point guard, but I don't think so.
He's a little too small, size wise, he's tall, but I don't see him.
He could be pushed around a little bit.
Two or three combo.
I could see him being, um we're gonna have to see where Hampton Falls because he could become I mean, ah, great fit. I sold.
The Nets were interested in him the other day.
I don't think that's a great deal.
I don't think really a lot of high octane players would fit well with.
That's at this point, especially Kyrie and Katie coming back, we would have to see however he lands.
Lastly, this is another Texas from South Garland Tigers.
As much as I'm a fan of all from New York, every excuse me from Texas, I do not see Tyreese Maxie as a high profile really NBA player.
I'm sorry to say it, but little undersized 6263 He's quick.
I was just having this discussion.
He's quick, and in that comparison I give him Thio, uh, deer and Fox.
But I don't see him producing on the same level as a deer and Fox.
Maxie has a lot to work on, especially a shot.
Kentucky wasn't Kentucky.
He knocked down some shots like clutch shots.
But I just don't see him producing that well in the MBA.
All right, we'll talk more about this, especially when the draft gets extremely close to just two weeks out.
Little talking about it.
Look out for Elijah Hughes.
Absolutely 66 plays the three plays.
The two could be a huge deal for a team if he gets in the right situation and then we'll move on to the my last topic of the day and for you guys.
You might not be all too interested in this, but for me, I'm actually really interested.
I'm really happy to talk about this.
Uh, this is the box and topic.
Vontae Davis for Leo Santa Cruz.
And I know a lot of you probably don't watch boxing.
I didn't watch this fight because it was paper game.
But before you dip out or leave are something else just wanna put this out here and then we'll talk about it a little.
I told you at the beginning of the show.
This is my hot take, and I've seen other people, including the man who I'm comparing them to say this Vontae Davis has the opportunity and potential to become the next Floyd Mayweather or better.
And this isn't just some I'm making this up because I like watching your Vontae Davis.
If you watch this fight, I know you guys watch the left handed uppercut knock out on Leo.
Santa Cruz sent the dude to the ground.
He was on the canvas on the floor for about two minutes that you were scared for his life, actually, right.
Floyd Mayweather did not have the power employed was a more defensive boxer, right? And if you follow along with Travanti, you know that Floyd is his absolute mentor.
Floyd was basically in his corner for the fight.
Floyd helped train them.
They trained in Floyd's gym, right, and I'm not getting this hot take off.
It just I said, being a fan.
Lloyd Mayweather has said this himself.
Alright, Davante hit.
The goal is to make Gravante bigger and better than him in the boxing world.
Yeah, he's 25 already 24 with 23 knockouts, Davis has devastating power.
That Floyd really only had at the beginning of the career but really wasn't as devastating is Davante Davis, and he's fighting at 1 31 35 complained Floyd's 1 47.
So if you are a box, are wanting to get into boxing or just wanting Thio know more about box and watch it more to Vontae Davis. Hop on.
The Vontae Davis bandwagon is he is absolutely rolling at this point and has to be potential to become the next big star in boxing.
He's starting out on pay per view.
He himself said it first, uh, this is what he said after the game, not after the game after the fight.
First I want to say I'm a pay per view star.
Second, I'm not dodging anybody.
I'm going to continue to show the world that I'm number one.
I don't have to call nobody out of the top dog, and everyone knows that just set him up and I'll knock him down one by one.
If you don't hear Floyd Mayweather and that, then I'm not sure because that's an exact quote.
Line them up and I'll knock them down one by one.
That's exactly where Forward will Floyd a set in the past, right? Getting in MAWR.
I'll move more now into the actual fight.
Sixth round knockout, devastating.
But if you look at it Santa Cruz through way more punches than Davante did.
Davante landed 88 of 227 compared to Leo.
Santa Cruz is 97 a 390 punches the crew.
Santa Cruz is a fighter from Mexican descent, which Davis noted after the after the fight.
And man, when you fight a Mexican fighter.
His father was a fighter, Leo Santa Cruz's and his brothers were.
They're warriors, and that's been known around the sport for a while.
In fact, in one of Santa Cruz's first fights, he threw over 1000 punches right in the sixth round alone before getting knocked out Santa Cruz through 98 punches in the sixth round alone.
This fight was not a favorable one for Davante.
Even though he was favored, it was gonna be a tough fight, a dogfight, and Davante was able to take over use his power one shot power and end it.
Okay, um, power punches.
Davante land in 97.
Excuse me overall, that his wife, uh, gravante actually landed on 55% of this power shots.
That's obviously over half.
But that's great for a fighter that's looking as Santa Cruz was looking to get into, uh, Davante Davis was looking to bring the fight to Davis.
Glenn, 55% of your power shots is unbelievable.
So to see someone with power wanting to fight these guys is awesome is you didn't see that with Floyd all the time. Okay.
Quickly to wrap up.
The one fight I want to see is Travanti Davis first.
If you're a boxing fan, you know what it is.
You don't know what this is about.
They go back and forth on, um, Twitter all the time.
Curse each other out. They can't.
They're not fans of each other, to say the least.
Okay, if you watch Garcia is a young upcoming fighter.
He's fighting at 1 35.
He's on days on days, and that's the new arm streaming for boxing.
So that could be a conflict and seeing the fight.
But I would love to see that fighters Gravante did.
I love it because they both can't stand each other, and that's what you get when you watch boxing matches.
That's what you hope for.
You hope for two guys that just can't stand each other and want toe.
Knock each other out as soon as possible.
So that's personally the next fight I want to see from Davante as he's going to continue his ascension to being the top boxing.
The top started boxing.
I know a lot of you are in a big boxing fans or watch boxing a lot, but I just thought, I mean, most of you probably saw the highlight, and I just like to speak on it cause I love watching boxing.
So on that note, that's all the time I offer tonight.
I thank you so much for everyone and the chapter turning into quick takes with me.
I hope you all had a great time and I'll see you in 48 hours for Empire Sports talk.
Ah, live on SportsCastr.
