And good morning fantasy football friends.
We finally made it.
I went to my crap that this morning.
My name is Gary a k a The I d p tipster via Twitter gridiron rating.
Um, joining me this morning is Justin and John.
You guys, would you introduce yourselves for me before I flipped after you? Uh, yeah.
My name is Justin Barnes.
I'm one of the i d p ****ysts over at fantasy points dot com.
And I'm really excited.
Honored to be between both of these guys.
Some great defensive minds.
Happy to be here.
Yep. Good morning.
John Somerset, Johnny the Greek on Twitter at Orangemen, through on four to writer for I D P.
Guys also happy to be here.
Happy that we got everything working.
Is somebody that I want to introduce you guys to.
Her name is Roxanne.
We had some technical difficulties this morning.
If you couldn't tell.
She's having had someone her in.
She's in our chat, so hopefully she's listening.
And once she finds that way to request to come in, if she can, um then we'll get our added.
Um I believe a little bit later on.
We're gonna have Chris Robin joining us.
Possibly, uh, our buddy Ronnie from G R. Two.
So again, Good morning, everyone.
Things have just went left again this morning for me, but we're rolling now, so we're going to get on these topics.
Um, which is kind of ironic, because Chris thought he was gonna be here a to this time, Um, on on the defensive lines.
He wanted to talk about Washington, and we were gonna jump on a couple of things.
You guys want to go ahead and start that, or should we go ahead and no, Avery Williamson has been traded the picture.
And I completely missed that.
Nathan Gurry went on ir I'm 1/30.
Did you guys see that? Did you do it before the game? Yeah, I know.
They were scuffling.
They're trying to trying to get a couple of guys up from the practice squad.
So, um, kind of a kind of a mess.
The linebacking situation in Philly was already a mess before this.
So this is just got worse, but help.
Yeah, I missed it too.
Um, I saw it when I was just looking like a stream for a shallow league this week.
Um, but yeah, I actually I looked at the snaps this morning.
Singleton 78% p. J.
78% Duke Riley, 70%.
And, uh, the the thing before this was Riley.
Edwards in the mixed, and he had a really, really good game, too.
So it just just got messier.
Yeah, well, I'm not shocked.
I was not shocked thinking about the whole situation after I've seen it this morning.
Um, you know, me and Justin.
We had talked up Singleton a little bit a couple of weeks ago, and I've been kind of tracking that situation because prior to Edwards getting hurt, he was actually slowly moving up there.
I think it was three weeks of weeks three and four.
So I was I was just waiting for him.
Basically to overtake Curry is what I was hoping because e think we mentioned it. Justin.
Now, Gurry just I mean his his grades, He sucks.
He's poor, you know? It's production by the fall.
We've gone through this whole case scenario, So when you sit when I sit back this morning and was like, Wow, I really miss that.
Um, it's been a busy few days, though I really wasn't that shocked.
I mean, I don't think that the injury from what I was trying to read up on this morning is all that bad, but I think it's just finally they seen a door, they they got Edwards back and they see in the door, and they were like, All right, dude, we just, you know, no distractions.
We're going to send you home, and we're going to see how this works out.
You know, whether or not they bring them back, who knows? But, I mean, that was the first thing I had to go do is go look at the snap count and to see that both Edwards and Singleton got nearly 80%.
We're gonna introduce Roxanne here real quick.
We have a pall of bull****.
You guys wanna bring on somebody that's not quite in the loop, Pauline? The Bulls fan number 99.
Nowhere bet these air follows.
So, what's going on on my laptop? Let me.
I'm sorry, everybody.
Um somebody let her know there's They're supposed to be a way.
Maybe the bottom three dots and her screen join.
Right? Right. You can request.
I've never done.
Yeah, uh, Roxy and keep clicking around down there.
There's a way to get in is ah co host request to join? Um, that's how we used to do it.
Well, well, while we're waiting on that, I was I was going to say, actually, a similar situation To what? What you and I were talking about Gary with Chili and T. J. Edwards.
I think this is the reason why the Jets found ah, good use for their Avery Williamson shares is because similar situation where we thought Blake Cashman was gonna come in and start next to Neville Hewitt.
Then he got injured right about the time Avery Williamson got help.
Williamson's been playing well, but they are clearly building toward the future, and I think they're gonna want to give Blake, Cashman and Neville Hewitt thes younger linebackers.
And so it's a great fit.
Pittsburgh desperately needed veteran presidents, and I think Williamson checks the boxes.
I'm just curious what you guys think Williamson was extremely productive player in that jet scheme.
And on that Jets defense, Devin Busch, who we would probably consider a superior player, really wasn't that productive in that middle linebacker role for Pittsburgh.
What do you guys think is gonna happen with Williams's production? Is he gonna be this double digit? Got tackled, guy.
He's been for the Jets last couple week.
Ah, Gary, I'm it. Go real quick.
I got I got notes on this.
I you know, I mean, just just Connie hitting this morning.
So we have a There's Roxanne.
Okay, everybody will e want to really introduce rocks hand real quick.
Uh, she is actually joined the gridiron ratings family. I'm excited.
She's She's gonna be, uh, working with me.
Fantasy football stuff on grid arm ratings calm.
She's, ah, been a writer, but she's switching over from offense to defense, which is nothing but a bonus.
And she is, actually, once we get some things done over the next few weeks, she is taking over the hosting maybe a soon as next Monday so that she runs this stuff through her system.
And only thing I gotta do is just join in and not crash everything like I've been doing, so we just got to get there.
So Roxanne is It's great to have you on the program today.
I'm not really sure.
She might not have a lot to include today, but she's getting her feet wet and she is joining us.
Toe Thio, check us out and see what we got to talk about.
Awesome, But thanks. Roxanne.
Yeah. Welcome, Roxanne.
Can you guys hear me? Yeah.
Okay, Everything works in Excellent.
Yeah, this cool.
All right, So we're gonna be rolling here.
Uh, somebody named Colleen.
I think I might have accidentally invited her to, but she's not.
Give me any controls, people.
All right, So he was talking about Avery Williamson right before Roxanne joined in and his production in Pittsburgh From this point on, you know, I haven't had a lot of time this morning considering that I was too busy crashing this ****.
So Oh, by the way, people there are adult language, and probably you'll see a smoking cigarettes or something.
So, uh, either way, I I don't I'm not I mean, I knew stealing.
I know that he produced last night, you know, I haven't had a chance to watch the film.
I am going to make a point to do this.
It was he productive last night because Baltimore picked on him or was he good? Because he took a position that we know that Devin Busch is just outstanding athlete.
And he hadn't produced like that in that position the whole time until he got hurt.
So I have a lot of questions in my mind, you know? I mean, when I first seen the kind of production he had, the first thing I thought of was production by default.
You know, pick on him, pick on him.
Right, Adam, whatever you got to do.
You see what he's got? Well, he he also have I'm not a little bit of a disadvantage, you guys.
Yeah, I I think, um, because Baltimore has such a run heavy scheme, right? Their identity is running the ball, whether it be their quarterback or their three, you know, they're three running backs or two last night.
Um, so they're going to be a run heavy scheme, and I think that kind of just dictated.
Look, if this is all right, uh, and and really test this kid That that Zaw I haven't really gone through the running past numbers.
Obviously, Baltimore did not execute their their offense the way they were hoping to, but yes, plane.
I mean, obviously this plane came up.
They had a couple of big stops.
Good goal line, Uh, stands there and obviously had that pick six.
Um, now, Johnny, I know you said you had some some numbers on this situation.
What did you see or what do you What do you expect Ng now for this position? Yeah, so with the displaying thing, I look like an idiot because that's telling everyone on our slack chat like, Hey, what I saw the previous week against Tennessee is he's only there for for for rundowns.
And it's Ulysses Gilbert.
I think that taking the passing work, So I mean, yeah, with Baltimore in town, they ran for what, like 200 yards on the ground or something. It was crazy.
But don't expect him in on passing downs.
And of course, I say that you get to pick six immediately, and I'm just like, uh oh, that's that figures, but something that I did notice.
Uh, every Williamson has been playing essentially every snap, and he's been super productive this year, and part of that is the Jets offenses 31st in time of possession.
And I gotta assume pretty bad and run to, um, you know, they're only on offense 27 minutes a game, whereas Pittsburgh is fourth in time of possession, 32 a half minutes.
That's five less minutes per game.
Avery Williamson would be on the field if he played 100% of snaps on the Steelers, which I don't think he's going to.
You know, Spillane and Williams only came in at 87%.
So you're looking at, like, 40 less minutes for the rest of the season. Minimum.
Williamson is gonna see the field, probably more.
I think it's gonna hurt his production.
What do you guys think? I I think so, too.
I think you you know, you just have the magic formula there.
Just he's not going to be on the field very.
We usually get to take advantage of that.
We find poor offenses and load up on their defensive players because they're going to be on the field a lot.
Um, and also, as you were saying, like, even Devin Bush wasn't staying on the field for 100% of the snaps, Right? So, uh, I don't think that their defensive scheme, uh, says like we're gonna park a middle linebacker in the middle of defense and they're gonna be there every single snap.
That doesn't seem to be the case.
And yeah, I mean, I know the plan was for Spillane to be the early down guy and Ulysses Gilbert to be the passing down guy.
But he struggled with an injury all week, and they ended up kind of last minute.
He was, He was I don't know if he was surprised, inactive, but he ended up being an act, and that was, you know, So when we got that word at 11.
30 that he was going to be an act, it totally changed what Spillane was gonna have to do.
He was going toe, have to be out there longer than he wants.
So now here comes Williamson, who's obviously a veteran.
So is Vince Williams.
I think it's gonna hurt Williams's production.
I think it's gonna hurt Williamson's production, and I think it's now we have yet another linebacking mess like we do.
Yeah, up to that.
So he cut out for you guys? Yeah.
Yeah, I think you muted Justin.
I think you muted somehow.
Can you hear? Is Justin I'm telling.
My wife had a huge meeting this morning, and there was, like, eight or nine people they were on zooms, some kind of meeting thing.
And everybody had a different Internet, and everybody was having problems.
So, Justin, if you can hear us, man, you might have to go in and back out.
Come back in or something.
Ah, try talking.
Oh, yeah, Nothing.
What the hell? That's so weird.
It says he has a muted the microphone for it.
Justin, you might have to leave and come back, buddy.
He's all give that a shot.
Oh, man, I love technology.
Yeah, this is great, folks.
You know, to me, we've got an election tomorrow that has got to be the hottest thing going on right now.
So there might be all kinds of people on the Internet right now more than usual, But, you know, like I said, it wasn't necessarily just our Internet here at the house is crapping it because everybody that was in this meeting was having a lot of problem.
So, Justin, if you could go in and back, come back.
Anything like that, is there.
We can hear you.
No, we can't hear you.
He's gonna He's gonna try the, uh, the exit.
No, not not. Not great for Williamson.
