And good morning fantasy football friends.
We finally made it.
I went through my crap that this morning.
My name is Gary a k a The I d p tipster via Twitter Gridiron ratings calm.
Joining me this morning is Justin and John.
You guys, would you introduce yourselves for me before I just flipped? Uh, my name is Justin Barnes.
I'm one of the i d p ****ysts over at fantasy points dot com.
And I'm really excited.
Honored to be between both of these guys.
Some great defensive minds.
Happy to be here.
Yep. Good morning.
Johnny the Greek on Twitter at Orangemen, threw on fourth to writer for I D.
Guys also happy to be here.
Happy that we got everything working.
We actually have a guest coming on, but actually, it's not a guest is somebody that I want to introduce you guys to.
Her name is Roxanne.
We had some technical difficulties this morning.
If you couldn't tell she's having had someone her in.
She's in our chat, so hopefully she's listening.
And once she finds that way to request to come in, if she can, uh, then we'll get her added.
Um, I believe a little bit later on, we're gonna have Chris Robin joining us.
Possibly our buddy Ronnie from G R. Two.
So, again, Good morning, everyone.
Things have just went left again this morning for me, but we're rolling now, so we're going to get on these topics.
Um, which is kind of ironic, because Chris thought he was gonna be here a to this time this morning.
So he started the ball, um, on on the defensive lines.
He wanted to talk about Washington, and we were gonna jump on a couple of other things.
You guys want to go ahead and start that, or should we go ahead and I don't know if you guys seen it.
I put in the chat.
We were, uh you know, Avery Williamson has been traded to Pittsburgh.
And I completely missed that.
Nathan Gurry went on.
I are on the 30th.
Did you guys see that? Did you do it before the game? Yeah, I know.
They were scuffling.
They're trying to trying to get a couple of guys up from the practice squad, So, um, kind of a kind of a mess there it was.
The linebacking situation in Philly was already a mess before this.
So this is just you held up last night, so you know.
Yeah, Yeah, I missed it too.
Um, I saw it when I was just looking for, like, a stream for a shallow league this week.
Um, but yeah, I actually I looked at the snaps this morning.
Singleton 78% p. J.
78% Duke Riley, 70%.
And, uh, the thing before this was Riley or Singleton.
Who's that? Second I d p.
Relevant linebacker over there.
Edwards in the mixed, and he had a really, really good game, too.
So it just just got messier.
Yeah, well, I'm not shocked.
I was not shocked thinking about the whole situation after I've seen it this morning.
Um, you know, me and Justin we had talked up Singleton a little bit a couple of weeks ago, and I've been kind of tracking that situation because prior to Edwards getting hurt, he was actually slowly moving up there.
I think it was three weeks of weeks three and four.
So I was I was just waiting for him Basically to overtake Curry is what I was hoping because e think we mentioned it.
Justin, how Gurry Just I mean his his grades, He sucks.
He's poor, you know? It's production by the fall.
We've gone through this whole case scenario.
So when you sit when I sit back this morning and I was like, Wow, I really missed that.
Um, it's been a busy few days, though I really wasn't that shocked.
I mean, I don't think that the injury from what I was trying to read up on this morning is all that bad.
But I think it's just finally they seen a door.
They they got Edwards back and they see in the door and they were like, All right, dude, we just you know, no distractions.
We're going to send you home and we're going to see how this works out.
You know, whether or not they bring them back, who knows? But I mean, that was the first thing I had to go do is go look at those snap counts and to see that both Edwards and Singleton got nearly 80%.
We're going to introduce Roxanne here real quick.
We have a pall of bull****.
You guys wanna bring on somebody that's not quite in the loop, Pauline? The Bulls fan number 99.
All right, Nowhere better.
These air follows.
So, what's going on on my laptop? I mean, I'm sorry, everybody.
Um, somebody let her know there's They're supposed to be a way.
Maybe the bottom three dots and her screen join.
You can request.
I've never done that.
Yeah, just Roxy.
And keep clicking around down there.
There's a way to get in.
Is ah, co host request to join? Um, that's how we used to do it.
While we're waiting on that, I was I was going to say actually, a similar situation.
To what? What you and I were talking about Gary with Philly and T. J. Edwards.
I think this is the reason why the Jets found ah, good use for their Avery Williamson shares is because similar situation where we thought Blake Cashman was gonna come in and start next to Neville Hewitt.
Then he got injured right about the time Avery Williamson got help.
Williamson's been playing well but they are clearly building toward the future.
And I think they're gonna want to give Blake, Cashman and Neville Hewitt thes younger linebackers.
And so it's a great fit.
Pittsburgh desperately needed another inside linebacker.
Ah, veteran presence.
And I think Williamson checks the boxes.
I'm just curious what you guys think.
Williamson was extremely productive player in that jet scheme.
And on that Jets defense Devin Busch, who we would probably consider a superior player, really wasn't that productive in that middle linebacker role for Pittsburgh.
What do you guys think is gonna happen with Williams production? Is he gonna be this double digit? Got tackled, guy.
He's been for the Jets last couple weeks.
I mean, go real quick.
I got I got notes on this.
I you know, I mean, just just honey hitting this morning.
So we have a There's Roxanne.
Okay, everybody will e want to really introduce Roxanne real quick? Uh, she is actually joined the gridiron ratings family. I'm excited.
She's She's gonna be, uh, working with me during the I. D i.
Fantasy football stuff on grid arm ratings dot com.
She's ah, been a writer, but she's switching over from offense to defense, which is nothing but a bonus.
And she is, actually, once we get some things done over the next few weeks, she is taking over the hosting maybe a soon as next Monday so that she runs this stuff through her system.
And only thing I got to do is just join in and not crash everything like I've been doing.
So we just got to get there.
So Roxanne is it's great to have you on the program today.
I'm not real sure.
She might not have a lot to include today, but she's getting her feet wet and she is joining us.
Toe Thio, check us out and see what we got to talk about.
Awesome, But thanks, Roxanne.
Yeah. Welcome, Roxanne.
Can you guys hear me? Yeah, I'm good. Okay.
Yeah, everything works in Excellent.
Yeah, it's cool.
All right. So we're gonna be rolling here.
Uh, somebody named Pauline.
I think I might have accidentally invited her to, but she's not showing up.
So what that's going on with that? I don't know.
Don't give me any controls, people.
So we were talking about Avery Williamson right before Roxanne joined in and his production in Pittsburgh.
From this point on, you know, I haven't had a lot of time this morning considering that I was too busy crashing this ****.
So Oh, by the way, people there are his adult language, and probably you'll see a smoking cigarettes or something.
So, uh, either way, I I don't I'm not I mean, I know speak stealing.
I know that he produced last night.
You know, I haven't had a chance to watch the film.
I am going to make a point to do this.
It was he productive last night because Baltimore picked on him or was he good? Because he took a position that we know that Devin Busch is just outstanding athlete.
And he hadn't produced like that in that position the whole time until you got hurt.
So I have a lot of questions in my mind, you know? I mean, when I first seen the kind of production he had, the first thing I thought of was production by default, you know, pick on him, pick on him.
Right, Adam, whatever you gotta do, see what he's got.
Well, he? He also has had a little bit of a disadvantage, You guys.
Yeah, I I think, um because Baltimore has such a run heavy scheme, right? Their identity is running the ball, whether it be their quarterback or their three, you know, they're three running backs or two last night.
Um, so they're going to be a run heavy scheme, and I think that kind of just dictated.
Look, if this is our identity as an offense and we haven't nxp experience linebacker, let's let's flow the production and really test this kid that that Zatz what I saw.
I haven't really gone through the run and past numbers.
Obviously, Baltimore did not execute their their offense the way they were hoping to, but yes, plane.
I mean, obviously he's playing, came up.
They had a couple of big stops, even some some good goal line stands there and obviously had that pick six.
Um, now, Johnny, I know you said you had some some numbers on the situation.
What did you see or what do you What do you expect ng now for this position? Yeah, so with the displaying thing, I look like an idiot because that's telling everyone in our slack chat like, Hey, what I saw the previous week against Tennessee is he's only there for for for rundowns.
And it's Ulysses Gilbert.
I think that taking the passing work so I mean, yeah, with Baltimore in town, they ran for what, like 200 yards on the ground or something.
It was crazy, so that's good.
But don't expect him in on passing downs.
And of course, I say that you get to pick six immediately, and I'm just like, uh oh, that's that figures, But something that I did notice, uh, every Williamson has been playing essentially every snap, and he's been super productive this year.
And part of that is the Jets offenses 31st in time of possession.
And I gotta assume pretty bad and run to, um, you know, they're only on offense 27 minutes a game, whereas Pittsburgh is fourth in time of possession 32 a half minutes.
That's five less minutes per game.
Avery Williamson would be on the field if he played 100% of snaps on the Steelers, which I don't think he's going to, you know, Spillane and Williams only came in at 87%.
So you're looking at, like, 40 less minutes for the rest of the season. Minimum.
Williamson is gonna see the field.
I think it's gonna hurt his production.
What do you guys think? I I think so, too.
I think you, you know, you just have the magic formula there.
Just he's not going to be on the field. Very.
We usually get to take advantage of that.
We find poor offenses and load up on their defensive players because they're going to be on the field a lot.
Um, and also, as you were saying, like, even Devin Bush wasn't staying on the field for 100% of the snaps, Right? So, uh, I don't think that their defensive scheme, uh, says like we're gonna park a middle linebacker in the middle of this defense, and they're gonna be there every single snap.
That doesn't seem to be the case, and yeah, I mean, I know the plan was for Spillane to be the early down guy and Ulysses Gilbert to be the passing down God.
But he struggled with an injury all week, and they ended up kind of Last minute he was, he was I don't know if he was surprised and active, but he ended up being an actor, and that was, you know, So when we got that word at 11.
30 that he was going to be an actor, it totally changed what Spillane was gonna have to do.
He was going toe, have to be out there longer than he wants.
So now here comes Williamson, who's obviously a veteran.
So is Vince Williams.
I think it's gonna hurt Williams's production.
I think it's gonna hurt Williamson's production, and I think it's now.
We have yet another linebacking mess like we do in Billy.
Yeah, hope to that.
So he cut out for you guys? Yeah, yeah, I think you muted Justin.
I think he muted somehow.
Can you hear? Is Justin I'm telling.
My wife had a huge meeting this morning, and there was like, eight or nine people they were on zooms, some kind of meeting thing, whatever.
And everybody had a different Internet and everybody was having problems.
So, Justin, if you can hear us, man, you might have to go in and back out.
Come back in or something.
Ah, try talking.
Oh, yeah, Nothing.
What the hell? That's so weird.
It says he has a muted the microphone for you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Justin, you might have to leave and come back, buddy.
He's all give that a shot.
Oh, man, I love technology.
Yeah, this is great, folks, You know, to me, we've got an election tomorrow that has got to be the hottest thing going on right now.
So there might be all kinds of people on the Internet right now more than usual.
But, you know, like I said, it wasn't necessarily just our Internet.
Here at the house is crap net, Because everybody that was in this meeting was having a lot of problems.
So, Justin, if you could go in and back, come back, anything like that, is there.
We can hear you.
Yeah. No, we can't hear you.
He's gonna He's gonna try the, uh, the exit Come back in.
Not great for Williamson, but whatever, we'll figure it out.
Uh, What else you guys got on the city? You man can't hear you can't hear you, Justin.
Very good. Okay.
Yeah. You couldn't track him back in.
So, Roxanne, what have you been? What have you been? Let me just let me just get get some background.
What have you been writing on so far this year? Um, ice was doing risers and fallers.
Offense players weekly just started at the beginning of this year.
Small site just to get my foot in the door just to get started somewhere.
I've always studied offenses I've never studied defense's or defensive players.
It's my first year doing I d p league I'm into.
And for the last week, I've just been reading on cornerbacks and what they do and what I need to get cornerbacks forced, Uh, your money Nice.
How do you like it so far? How do you How do you like being in a teepee leagues? Um, I like me men. I d p leaks.
I will definitely, um, do him forever now, you know. Yeah.
There's no going back, right? Part of my 10 teams next year.
You know, you don't have 10 or more teams in fantasy.
You're not a fan, right? I haven't had 10 teams and 34 years.
Now I've got, uh, got seven this year.
And that's the max I've had last year I had five.
I just I got tired of chase, um, rosters, you know.
What am I gonna do? You know, just run around and stuff.
Plus, this kind of overtook everything.
This me learning how toe try to type.
So, um, but, uh, but all in all, uh, you know, we were talking about that Pittsburgh and Roxanne again.
I'm excited to have you a part of the i.
D. P. Department at Gridiron Ratings.
And we're going to give John a run for his money on making those takes on the corners because I'm gonna teach.
You were going to run through this man, and you're going to run with it.
I could just tell already.
She is very intensive and very on this.
She she's ready to give you some trouble there, John.
Um, but, you know, talking about that avery and spill spilling, You know, I really question if this was not a depth move, I mean, they only paid 1/7 round pick for him, right? Right.
They only pay the seventh round pick.
He's a proven veteran.
Uh, it's going to take him to learn in Thomason's way of doing things.
Uh, defense is not quite the same defense that he's been in for the last couple of years.
Matter of fact is probably ran away that he does think Tomlin and the way that he runs that stuff's going to take him a couple of weeks to get with it.
And I really question I mean, I didn't see.
Like I said, I didn't see the film yet.
Is he really going to be better than spilling Spillane? E.
I mean, is it? Go ahead.
No, that's a good point.
It probably is a depth thing because they went from heaven Bush with Splain behind him And, you know, whatever, Thio.
Now you know, if Splain goes, they got nothing.
But now, now, at least they got Williamson and I and I think they are kind of this.
Is it big? Ben's getting old like this. This is it, man.
Yeah, they got to make it happen now.
Yeah, Yeah, that's not gonna happen.
He's one hit away right now.
He's one hit away.
So he has been for years now, so yeah, I don't know, man I really question the whole situation.
And it's I mean, it's almost more interesting to think the first thing I wanted to do for the Jets was Go see if Patrick Oswald or whatever his name was, was coming off the I r or something.
And I ran out of time.
So everybody froze on making you hear Jeremy.
Yeah. Yeah, I got you.
I can hear you. Okay.
But I can hear you.
Just gonna freak out for a minute.
So anyways, um, you know, you got Cashman's sitting there, and I was looking to see a Patrick was coming off.
I couldn't find any information, um, about him if he's out for the season.
I couldn't remember if he was out for the season or if it's just been something that he's needed time to heal from.
Do you know anything about that, John? Oh, I'm a sort.
No, I don't think it was a season thing.
Um, I think it was the legit IR, though.
So after week eight, uh, you should be okay.
Um, and Cashman was the short term I r, I believe, but it's but it was like Justin said it's gonna be Cashman and Hewitt.
Probably like they're They're what? Owen? Seven.
Anyways, like we're getting to that time where it's let's see what we got for next year because this year, you know, swirling the toilet.
Yeah, and ironically, the craziest thing about the Jets is is I said it last year.
Que It is not that good either.
He came from Miami.
He was down in Miami for a long time. He couldn't do anything.
He come up here.
He's gotten to play by default because of Mosley being hurt.
Avery Williamson being hurt last year and put that guy he keeps showing up.
You know, he keeps showing up on paper.
He was not supposed to really produce that well this weekend, and but I still went ahead.
Marked him up because he is still getting the tackles.
I think he ended up with, like, five or six, maybe seven or eight.
I can't remember, you know, and it it It is what it is when it's fantasy football.
I think think gays is a joke.
I think everybody else.
A lot of people think that gays is a joke, so I don't know how many years if he's got the 10 year playing going on here or something, but at some point, he's gonna have to get Mosley on the field.
And he's gonna have to get somebody secure enough.
And it probably won't be Hewitt.
I doubt it's cash Hman.
I don't think in the long run we might see Cashman play, but personally, I what I seen of Cashman last year, unless he really takes a lot of steps in the next couple of you know, the rest of this season, I don't think that he's the guy.
I don't think he, you know, or at least a full time guy.
I don't think he has the coverage abilities Thio even stick in.
There will probably be a thumper if anything on the running down.
But, you know, um, did you have anything else you want to add to that? John? No.
No, I I did have Ah, Another accent question, if you don't mind.
No, I don't mind, man who get Yeah.
No, no, I just I just You know, I love it when people try I d p For the first time, I just like, you know, get get like some thoughts and reactions.
So who are your favorite players so far on your on your couple defense is there.
Let me bring out my teams, Ok, Okay.
Not that I don't know.
I just have so many.
I hear you while she's doing that, How we met.
This is how we met.
You know, Michelle, my wife's got cancer and and she reached out this past summer when I announced that it might be a little bit rougher for me to be on Twitter and doing things, trying with my wife, having breast cancer and surgery.
And she had, uh, chemo and all that.
And Roxanne was so nice.
She reached out to me and my wife and was offering all kinds of of advice, anything that we needed.
Actually, she was willing to ship stuff for after surgery for my wife like pillows and these things that these need after this just great, just great.
And, you know, she's actually knock on wood.
She's a she's had she's recovered breast cancer.
I don't know how the word it, but we're glad.
Thio Cancer free.
Just cancer free, right? Right.
You know that that's kind of started the ball rolling a couple of months ago.
I'm not even sure if it was that long, but I I was sitting around the, you know, the last couple of weeks or something.
And, John, you know that I've tried toe coax you over here quite a few times in the last 10 year, five years, whatever.
And, uh And, uh so, you know, it basically boiled down to that.
I had this had this.
I was like, Man, I don't know of any women.
P is a as a personality, you know? And, you know, I kind of like Brain ****ed on that.
And I even sent something to Jeff the gr founder.
And you know, just that was it.
That's a sfar a zit when he didn't even reply to my text, you know, But he said he remembered it and then it's just I don't know what it was is I'm contributing it thio karma that that Roxanne's agreed to come on and how we met because we were sitting there.
I didn't even realize you wrote.
That's how bad I am on Twitter.
I pay attention to very little.
I'm just trying to get the stuff out there to people.
So, you know? And I was saying I'm like, Wow, she writes so out of a brain ****.
Senator messages said, Hey, you ever thought about China? I d p.
And it just bam went from there.
And here we are, you know, I mean, we're literally talking, like, a week and a half ago.
This a actually.
Just just like that.
It just it's, you know, took off.
And, you know, I got I've had the pleasure and displeasure of working with a few of i d p people and, you know, and I gotta admit, she she has been on it.
She wants, she wants to learn.
I'm about ready to show her the ropes the way that I think me and you do.
John, You know, we've had the talks.
You didn't believe in hot takes and all that stuff too, So I think it's really great edition.
So I'm gonna let her answer a question now.
I'm just really excited.
What was the actual question? Oh, sorry. Yeah.
Who your favorite, uh, like idea? Yeah.
So these four guys that are on my team have been just amazing.
Oh, yeah, And Joe Schobert? Yeah. Oh, my God.
Yeah. My top four scores.
Yeah, their complaints.
No, no complaints.
Just co school bridge.
You know, I mean, I mean, I see Miles Jack coming a mile away, but I gotta admit, he we were all expecting a little bit more out of him this year.
But he's still he's still there, I mean Oh, yeah, Yeah.
You can't go from the situation he had in Cleveland Browns.
Just prime for what? For him.
You know, they can't even they can't even replicate that kind of production that he got in Cleveland is an every down linebacker with good son in that in that handful of guys that got up there, so yeah, eso.
But when you got Myles Jack next to you or the difference in the system, I guess, uh, comparably down there in Jacksonville, he's still he's still a solid guy.
He's still we that we've had a lot of that down this year.
Uh, with I d p players, especially if you're looking at the defensive line, our edge rushers, stuff like that.
I mean, Aaron Donald's even had tanked games.
Aaron Donald's failed a few times.
Uh, Cameron Jordan is no longer up there.
What happened to Chandler Jones before he got hurt? You know, that guy was a beast, and then all of a sudden, this year, he was he was nothing.
So yeah, if ifs Colbert still producing like he is, he's the least that we should be upset with.
So Yeah, it sounds like you got a nice little squad going on there, Roxanne.
So you'll you'll probably do probably ride this year. I'll pretty good.
What's your record? Right now? My record is five and three.
Well, hey, I think thats about par and the league's that I'm in.
Yeah, I mean, that's I'm sitting on.
I'm gonna be sitting on five and three, probably, and both of my money leagues is this week.
That's it's just for par.
We talked about that.
The beginning of this season was so Covad preseason that wasn't even funny.
So it's finally leveled out a little bit, so everybody is scurrying around.
There are, of course, those lucky people that they didn't have the big problems.
And they're still six and one or whatever the hell it is. Lucky *******s.
You know, e o Christian McCaffrey, and say, Kwame Barkley.
And you're still five.
Yeah, that's that's awesome.
Then it's all the idea.
Uh, back up s O.
That was I got lucky there Nike mind yesterday.
I had to put him.
He produced Wow, it was my only option.
Everybody go Mumbai's and stuff pulling it out.
I can't believe it.
Yeah, that's right. That's wild.
Okay, that's enough. Dirty.
This is ideal podcast fantasy cash.
You guys to get **** elsewhere, right? I heard enough eso anyway, he said there, bite my tongue.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So one little thing I want to add about the Philadelphia before we move on to another topic, Um, mentioning single 10 and mentioning Edwards and stuff.
Um, I think that I didn't get the chance to finish it.
I think that that is the really the first time.
I think this year that they had to linebackers that were both about 80% and ran that many staffs at the same time.
And I think that's going to speak volumes going forward.
I think both are going to bring a certain element to the to the defense that we might be able to see single tenant Edwards B borderline full time guys, which, in my opinion, borderline would be 80% plus percent of the snaps.
So do we have a gurry? Curry has been, you know, 100% guy.
He's had some lead or some weeks He's just been, you know, productive by default, killing it.
Do we have that? When Edwards in Singleton, I would say, Pump your expectations a little bit because if there's two of them doing the same thing and they're working in tandem, it might be a little bit different.
Um, I'm just glad to see the Philadelphia, for whatever reason, has a different situation right now to give somebody else to try.
Maybe we'll have something develop out of this because it's been it's been terrible for a couple of years now, as far as fantasy football and sitting and watching this happen since they got rid of Hicks since Hickson went to Arizona and Hicks was hurt half, half the time he was, you know? Yeah, I'm just glad to see that Nigel.
Nigel. Brad Ham A couple of years ago.
He can't even get a job now, e know.
Yeah, I think he's signed on.
Is the practice squad with Denver or something? I don't think he's even been activated if he's even there.
Right, Azaz? Something like that fell off the map.
So, um, so originally, which we still might have Chris chime ing in here about 11. 15.
John, you got time? Yeah, E Oh, Well, no, it's 11.
Actually, I only got about a half hour to G o if we really burn it that long.
So we was going to talk about the defensive lineman of a couple of teams.
Uh, Chris has probably held up, and I kind of want to go ahead and talk about it, But I don't know, man.
He's been burning to talk about that Washington and I feel bad because I had him on here last week, and, uh, I could not give my crapping at toe work.
And then when I did, I couldn't hear him.
And I tried for hours, and I finally just gave up, so I feel kind of bad about that.
Do you have anything at the top of your head that would be relative toe Washington? No.
Just start Chase Young.
Brian Carrigan's not playing.
He's getting lucky with Sacks.
That's gonna catch up to you.
So be careful there.
Uh, what I did, what I did write down was Janek and Goku played the most of any defensive lineman and the Ravens this week.
More than Campbell.
More than Judah on more than Wolf.
Judean got hurt the most.
He's down in 19% of snaps, so that's not great for anyone playing him.
But, ah, Campbell also took a hit, and it looks like they moved into defensive tackle uh, 53% of snaps this week with Wolf on the road.
By that, that's what it said on NFL.
Jesus Clay's Campbell was lined up a defensive tackle.
Uh, I don't know if that's actually true.
It's just you know how they list the positioning of that.
That's that's where they had um, but anyway, anyone worried about in GAC way, you know, playing less or whatever he's gonna be fine.
He didn't do much this week, but you know, he's a pass rusher.
He's a good pass rusher.
He's never been one toe stop the run that much or anything like that.
And when you're on one of the best teams that blitzing are, the blitz is the most.
I think they blitz the most last year, 55%.
I'm pretty sure they're up there again now.
Um and, you know, as long as he's put in that position, he's probably gonna pick right up where he was when he was up there with Minnesota.
You know, he's just now he's doing it from a standing position.
He's not putting his his hand in the dirt is a regular d.
He's an outside linebacker now, uh, I don't know. Jesus.
Still had him a Z e.
Um, I haven't seen any site changes, have you? Um, not yet.
Yeah, you have to catch up.
Usually takes them weeks to figure that **** out.
Like they're gonna make you.
They'll make you China new osa l b slash d e.
Now that Melvin Ingram's back and it doesn't matter.
You know what I mean? Like that. That's what they'll do.
Because there weeks behind on that ****, right? Yeah, Exactly.
It's not actually, like at the top of their i.
P is not at the top of the list for these fantasy sites to be making sure that everybody is taking care of the Not yet.
There were still working on that? Um, yeah, yeah.
I instantly figured, you know, the way Juden and Bowser and McPhee weren't getting it done as much as a blitz.
I mean, Juden had a decent year last year, and he's just fell off the map.
Yeah, you know, what do you have, like, two sacks or something until they, you know, up to the point that they sign it legitimately had one good game this year? Yeah.
And last year he was mediocre or a little bit above mediocre and just yeah, that's below.
Mediocre is a pass rusher on a on 18 that just blitzes like crazy.
I mean, you know, that's just that's what they dio.
But so I can see why they made to move.
You had to do something.
They weren't getting the pressure on the opposing quarterback like they wanted, so that's probably, uh you would have thought it would help them with the Steelers, you know, But, you know, it's the first game in.
We'll see how that goes.
Yeah, Baltimore e don't have Steelers.
Were is better than they had been.
Or if Baltimore just kind of fumbled the ball yesterday or what? But I haven't gotten a watch.
That 10 yeah. Yeah.
I was going to talk about the Giants a little bit.
I'm trying to save it for see if Chris pops up.
So that's what I was curious if we had.
I'm just trying to think.
Yeah. Hey, I could talk Ohio State.
We could talk about, uh, Roxanne.
What's your favorite team? What's yours you got on there? I have Tom Brady on.
Oh, they're going to destroy the Giants tonight.
That's gonna be a blood bath.
Yeah, it should be.
You broncos on my team.
I just loved you, Brady.
Okay. No, I got you. I got you.
Broncos pulled out a crazy game.
Right? No, it was awesome.
It's awesome to wake up a winner.
Finally on a Monday.
Yeah, I don't I don't know what that's like.
You can see in the background.
Unfortunately, that's That's the team.
Yeah, it's been a It's been a tough year.
So there was one thing I was gonna mention.
Not change subject.
But did you notice that John Johnson, we'll have games.
John Johnson did nothing.
Uh, Chuck Clark did nothing.
Adrian Phillips did just a little bit.
Who else did I see that? Just just safety wise and just just didn't do anything.
I don't think Justin Simmons did all that.
No, no, he gotta You gotta pick in the and that saved him.
Um, but yeah, there were a lot of safeties that didn't do anything that was supposed to end.
Harrison Smith actually did something, and he's played like **** all season.
It was like opposite day.
Yesterday was very well, Marcus Marcus may.
He's been He started out hot.
Now he's in that gaze.
And he must not have been What, what? What I thought he was gonna be, um I think there's a little back story and why they quit using them that way.
But I'm not gonna go there.
But I think a lot of yesterday when I looked at it, and I don't know about you when he was doing your start sets.
Ah, lot of those were borderline matchups.
Yeah, I think that whole Miami thing, you know what was there? He turned golf, turned the ball over four times.
Uh, Miami was, like, scoring that just when they ****ed, you know? So I think it was the whole, you know, just the whole thing.
They're down in Miami.
I don't think Kaiser got anything either.
Where the ship for what he would usually there.
There was something note ful, uh, or noteworthy.
McDougald went toe ir in.
Ashton Davis played every snap yesterday.
Yeah, So I I figured when I I seen him when he was questionable, I didn't know they sent him No ir until the games that started.
But I had mentioned in my notes that I figured if that happened that they would take the rookie Davis and put him at free safety and put May up there and strong safety in place of him.
I don't know how that worked out.
I'm really curious.
Who played what position because I'm pretty sure that in Davis kind of a smallish type.
I mean, I think he's a natural free safety.
I'm not 100% sure about the rookie, but yeah, no.
Yeah, that's right.
We actually we mentioned that, um, on our show too. Okay.
So strong safety Ashton Davis.
According Thio NFL.
Jesus. Let me see where you actually lined up.
Um, it just has him a safety.
So it looks like they might have done just the too deep one side of the field, other side of the field.
I was just curious how that played out, but I think overall aspect of everything, all those players that that Onley did so well Adrian Phillips, Chuck Clark and all of them, you know, uh, one When I left my notes, I mentioned that this is, you know, these guys should be okay.
This is one of those situations where they should be okay, but it's not the best matchup on paper.
And I think that's a lot of what happened yesterday.
Um, with some of these players, you know, But then you turn around and you got guys like Spielen doing what he did.
It was a weird day for I d. P.
So it was really weird for me.
It was It was a weird day, period.
Man like you got eso whence is putting up all these crazy games.
Cowboys defense can't stop, you know, a bunch of toddlers.
And then last night, what was that? What was that like? I was a Randy Gregory.
You got Aldon Smith.
Two guys air, just complete freaks.
That air finally got themselves cleaned up on the field at the same time that Gregory had four tackles.
I think, uh, Smith had five and a sack.
Maybe you've got van dresses and Smith, right? And Lawrence went crazy to Lawrence. Had a huge game.
The defense finally played like they're capable of playing, which they can't stop a run.
It's which is? I don't know.
It was just crazy.
It was It was like a different version of them last night.
Yeah, you know, I remember listeningto.
What? I can't remember who was commentating last night, that game, but he said something about, but they can't stop the run.
Well, I understand why.
It's just that middle interior defensive line.
There's nothing but bodies.
They they're they have never been a long time had anybody that could do anything other than just fell a hole, in my opinion.
Crawford, uh, they got Woods there.
I think they're just They're They're just bodies, you know? So I mean, and that's your first line of defense of stopping the run.
You know, it's not up to the edge rushers is.
It's up to the linebackers once you get past that D line.
But that the line justice mediocre to at best, I you can't even suggest they're always free on the waiver wire because they're not worth anything to get it if they get a tackle because they got tripped and fell into the guy, you know, that's how bad it is in in with Dallas to I don't know how many you've got everything there.
We know my Internet is just gonna crap out.
What Donovan Wilson play.
They still mixing, then a strong safety with Thompson.
No, he's taken over for Thompson, basically, um, but it's been fluctuating back and forth.
I'll check for you.
Yeah, I That kid I mean, when I when I get to catch him.
When? When I've seen him.
I mean, I had a little off season take about him and he just he gets around the ball.
He's a ballplayer, you know? I don't know if he's quite doing everything, uh, technically like they want him to dio But I mean, a lot of times, you know, he's had games where he's had, like, what, 10 tackles? Not too long ago.
And and, uh, he just makes plays.
I think they should give him just just, you know, at this point say go for it.
Learned the position quick, mixing him in and out with Thompson.
So he was in 1992% this week s Oh, yeah, so pretty much he waas that's it.
It's about time.
I don't know what kind of production he had all that, but it doesn't matter.
Yeah, I think him and Woods going forward and you got Tick's.
I don't know what's wrong with your cowboys, man.
It's a very disappointing e.
I mean, even pre pre Dak, you know, pre back injury.
I was I am never optimistic.
I haven't been optimistic since 1995 and I gave myself 1% optimism before this season, and I should have known better. I should have known.
But there happened.
Do this to me, e mean, Zeke, Zeke killing me.
That seeks no good.
I e And we had so no, no bull****.
Before the deck injury, he was he was responsible for by himself, 400 yards of offense again.
That was to Cooper.
That was the Gallup.
That was the lamb That was that made Schultz relevant, for Christ sakes.
Well, that was and they were still passing the ball.
Him and Zeke were giving the ball away two or three times.
And you're, like, here, here.
We'll just come back again.
Yeah. I don't know.
That was that was so weird.
Overconfident or I don't get it, but that Yeah, No, he speaks to coaching.
Yes, that's definitely part of it.
And and that was, like, such a massive hit to fantasy football in general.
When Dak went down like that killed three wide receivers, a tight end, a running back, a top three quarterback like it just heard everything that sucked big time I can't believe since then they pulled off a win on Tennessee yesterday.
E was actually, I was.
I was hyped up to see Landry and Simmons just eat all day on that defensive line, just tearing up.
I think that they said the Bengals had four backups at E.
I guess that's what they needed to do because their starters weren't getting it done, because, I mean, those guys were formidable defensive lineman and they didn't do ****.
I don't think that one of them didn't do ****.
I think Landry did okay, but yeah, yeah, that's that's wild to see that that's who they be, you know.
Expect that? Cleveland, maybe.
And what about the Viking stepping up yesterday and being hackers? That was amazing.
Yeah, I love when Aaron Rodgers like this.
A amazing they are.
I was wanting to pay attention to the Who was playing defensive end for them, and the Packers were actually not known for allowing a lot of production off the edge.
And I think I've seen one of their one of their guys were both their defensive ends.
Had a pretty good game.
Yeah, yeah, the rookie.
Remember the name D J Want him.
Got the game ending sack strip sack.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was crazy.
Rodgers gets away with that **** so much, you know where he rolls out, and he's just like, Oh, yeah, I got all the time in the world to just toss this, and he just got annihilate.
Like that was crazy.
You know when? When Hunter is healthy, You know, he's always given, given the packers a run for the money.
Yeah, but I mean, other than that, and you've got to expect that out of Hunter.
But thio here that a couple of no names actually made an impact.
Now, we need to see it for two or three weeks in a row here personally, but, you know, just to make sure what one of those things, you know, it just that was wild.
That was wild to see.
Yeah, you're right.
It was a weird, weird week.
Uh, this week, who lines play? Uh, they got housed by the colts.
Yeah, and here the Colts colts the bottom of the stack of letting the pressure off the edge.
But then Oko Carrero or whatever his name? Uh, yeah, He had a game.
So it was kind of odd to what it was.
Maybe everybody just feeling a little under the weather.
Ah, lot of I know the games that I was keeping track of.
E mean at one point in Cleveland, which don't ask me why I was watching Cleveland, even though I'm from Ohio, but that would they had this, like, Snow Storm Rangeley just hit that **** like quick and then down Cincinnati.
They had a bunch of weather problems, and there was wind every day.
It was a windy, windy day like that That past, uh, that once passed that got picked the first or second one.
Moved eight yards laterally in the air.
That's that's crazy like ****.
It's a lot of wind hiring.
Yeah, that's wow.
Uh, Green Bay and Tennessee costume my sixth leg.
Partly like e thought those were, like, Yes, All right.
Yeah, You never know.
Next week Tonight? Yeah.
Yeah, tonight you could **** you get back the mortgage money line tonight on the bucks, and you'll be fine.
You know, you're saying that, dude, but I am.
Yeah, ****'s happening.
That's that's true.
It is the Giants playing in New York.
It's a good question.
I don't know if they're playing in New York.
Some people ought to be a little nervous.
I believe you, too.
They should wipe him out, especially with that secondary.
Yeah, you know, I don't see Chris is gonna be 00 it's in New York.
Yeah, I've been I've been holding this back, so I thought Chris come in.
But if Christmas talked Washington next time he's on, we'll figure out some other line D lines.
Have you noticed the difference? At least I want to say in real life, and then I d p What the interior defensive line for the Giants have been this year? I have.
I have, huh? I was gonna say Tomlinson, I think, is playing really well.
I like David Thomason, Williams and even the extra Lawrence.
All all of them is here.
I think Lawrence is the bottom.
He's averaging 60 60 snaps a game.
Then you have Tomlinson and he is sitting there around 65 or 70 and then Williamson is playing 70 plus.
A lot of times they are all staying healthy.
They are all producing.
They have just turned it from night and day.
They're still in the in the aspects of things.
They're coming in about the middle of the pack as a group this year, Um, when you when you rank defensive lines.
But when you look at these guys is individuals, especially for I. D.
I have been able to advise our members so often one of these guys is gonna produce.
Probably two of them were gonna produce.
They're going to be fine if you're looking for a bye week play or anything like that.
Um, I was looking at the numbers earlier.
I think each once had one game apiece that they didn't do nothing and maybe got one tackle.
But most of them, Yeah, Williams is on, actually, believe it or not, when I looked at the way you read it this morning.
Halfway through the season, Williams is probably on his best track.
Thio either match or out play his best year ever in the league.
He's already got three sacks, so the best he's ever had a seven.
And at the same time, when you look at his numbers, I think the best he had in tackles combined tackles was like 49.
And he's sitting on 25 right now.
And I think that they've had their by weight.
I'm not 100% sure.
But then Giants, But I'm not really sure they had it going on when they had faca row out there on the blind side as the blind side Russia.
But then Carter got hurt and they moved.
Did you see what they did? They moved FACA row over to the strong side and put old man Gordon in last week.
Then they trade Gordon.
Oh, it was, um yeah.
What the hell is his name? Ah, it went back to Arizona.
Golden Golden Golden.
Yeah, Yeah, it didn't factor.
Will Goto ir or someone went toe.
Was it Carter? That's Carter.
I know Carter did, and that's something happened recently and I might have missed it.
It was Lorenzo Carter was over on the strong side.
In fact, role was running off the blind side, the weak side.
And he was having a couple good games splashing it.
Carter got hurt.
They moved pack a roll over the very next game to the strong side.
Did **** for I d.
Because, I mean, who would have thought that they would have took their best pass rusher at the time and move them over to put Golden in the weeks I going actually had a pretty good game that game.
But nobody was playing them, you know, but yeah.
Then they then they swapped him.
So as I was, I was warning I d p players tonight.
This would be so they just traded him.
Do they moved back road back to the blind side? We don't.
Yeah, well, David healthy too.
That's another cog in the machine, you know? Like, where the hell does he does he do, like, plus, McKinney comes back in a couple weeks.
So what does that do? Toe peppers toe love Thio? Bradbury? No, not Bradbury to Ryan.
Like that whole situation is gonna look different.
Um, and I don't want it to, because I've got Logan Ryan and James Bradberry everywhere.
So don't screw with it. Please.
I You know, back before the season, I thought Peppers was gonna be done.
But he keeps getting a play by default.
The game that who did they play? They could play Seattle or somebody.
He had a second again.
Someone, Washington, maybe? No, I think it was a game before last.
Yeah, and it was like a Monday night and they were with their maybe in Seattle or something.
But pepper peppers, just you just tow.
Watch him in coverage.
He gave up the winning touchdown at the very end.
Who was that, too? Was it? Philadelphia? Philadelphia Boston's first game.
He made that dime throw peppers.
Didn't even turn around to defend in the end zone.
Your Indians own dude, Just turn around. Just turn around.
Look, to put your hand up like that, you're done.
But instead, he just He's sucked and coverage so bad.
E just I don't know how he's He's just a run stopper and he misses tackles when he does that.
So and then enough.
All right, well, I'll tell you what, We probably ought to wrap this up.
We've got in the doctor's appointments down and Kettering today, and I got to get something to eat.
I've been up since 3. 30.
Jesus, that's early.
Not buying because I wanted I fell asleep last night during the game.
