If you're not, a link is gonna be done in the description.
If you're watching this on YouTube now, all that being said, I know the game's not technically over, but I mean it pretty much is.
I mean, it's being delayed because of some lightning storms and some thunderstorms that's going on over there.
So it's just like, Come on, now, just end the game.
You know, it's like, whatever it's preseason, Who cares? At this point, we've seen enough.
Um, I think we've seen enough from both of the teams.
We still have another week to go, so it's just like, might as well end the game.
I know the game's not over.
I don't know if they're gonna even continue the game or if they're just gonna end it.
I guess we'll find out.
But basically I still wanted to go ahead and talk about my my notes that I have here some of this stuff that I wrote down that I saw in the game overall, not bad.
There were some good things.
There were a few bad things that we're going to get into right now.
Right now, the score is 26 to 15 in favor of the Ravens.
However, if the game goes on, then you know maybe the score will change.
I have no idea what's gonna happen with that, but that being said so, a few of the things that I noticed is that Patrick Ricard was actually on the starting defensive line, which is very interesting.
So you like to see it.
That shows me that he showed a lot to the coaching staff.
That means that they trust him to really be a starting defensive tackle, and that's crazy because we have a lot of defensive lineman on there and the fact that Patrick or Card was actually with ones he was starting.
That just tells me that he's making this team.
I truly do believe that he's going to be making this team because he's just been making plays this whole pre season.
He's been looking really good.
He's been a dual threat on offense and defense.
So I really see no reason why he's not gonna make the team pass.
Rush actually fared well in the first half.
Yeah, they I was actually surprised.
We're gonna talk about that as well.
Um, early on, I think the past rush was kind of struggling.
But it was It was something that I was expecting against the Eagles offensive line.
Like I said they had.
They actually had Jason Peters out there, which I was surprised about.
They had some starting offensive linemen out there.
Some, you know, some they didn't have, but some But some of them they didn't have there, so I was surprised that her pass rush actually did pretty well.
I mean, they did struggle on some snaps, but aside from that, they actually played pretty decently.
So good to see that there was a nice sack on fourth down early on in the game to stop them.
It was against Cody Kessler.
Shana to Cody Kessler.
Um, he was he was getting pretty.
He was getting pretty blown up.
And then Josh McCown, you know, it wasn't much better for him in the second quarter, but then in the third quarter.
That's when he really turned it on.
So Jean Worst Oh my God, Jane Worst.
He is just terrible, man.
He was getting some OKed in the second car just in the entire game.
He was getting smoked.
He was our starting left tackle and he was getting beat so many times, I was so upset with that.
I hate I hate to see Jane worst out there, man.
I understand that he's versatile.
He can pretty much play any position on the offensive line.
And I understand he's not horrible enough to not be on an NFL team.
But he got He just sucks, man.
Jesus, Jane worst.
You're you really are the worst.
I'm just tired of seeing that guy out there, man.
I'm tired of seeing 74 because I always noticed him.
I always noticed something bad about this guy, and it's not like, Oh, God, it's just because I'm looking out for it.
No, it's because he's trash.
That he got pushed back.
He was getting just, you know, it was messing with him like he was getting freakin God.
He was just He is just horrible, man, I hate that we have to have him on the team, but I mean, it is what it is.
I understand why, Because he's versatile.
Anyway, um, there was a nice play by Cyrus Jones.
Cyrus Jones, for the most part, played okay.
Still not convinced by the nickel? Um, there was a beautiful play by Boykin.
There was that 44 yard catch.
I think it was in the second quarter.
I want to say I don't remember when it was, but that was a good 44 yard catch.
He made the two Eagles defenders tackle each other.
You love to see that very good route run by him.
Very good catch.
And I hope he continues to do that in the precinct are in the regular season. Sorry.
Did you hear about Hakeem? Says Dev? Yes, I did hear about the Keen. He's hurts.
I know, I'm aware.
And he might be out this whole season.
So still, I'm on the team hype train man when he comes back, you know? I mean, so anyway, Chuck Clark.
So the thing with Chuck Clark, I was surprised that they also had him playing a little bit in the nickel If you guys didn't notice Hey was taken.
Some snaps, they're So I really think the Ravens are just trying to just check out their options because, as I mentioned before, Tavon is a huge loss.
So I think they're really trying just test out their options with Chuck Clark to Sean Elliott, Anthony favorite.
They just want to see who's the best there, man, and who's gonna step up.
Maurice Canady just did not look particularly good tonight.
I feel like he got beat on a few few a few plays, and, uh, you know, it's it's kind of not looking that good for him, But we'll see, because I thought that Marie's candy was gonna be next up.
But apparently not.
So Boykin then had a drop later on in the game.
It's just he's all it's all about.
That he got to be consistent meant that's really what it's all about, because he can make a beautiful catch.
But then, if he has those lay, it was that it was that under throw, I remember he was open, but McSorley did underthrown just a little bit, but it was still a catchable ball, and he just didn't make the plate.
It was like right here was just It was just a little bit underthrown.
I'm sure if it was throwing a little better, it would have been a catch.
But still, it was still a catchable ball, in my opinion.
So, Boykin, you just gotta be more consistent men on guy.
No, I'm not talking specifically the Boykin because he's not gonna be watching this, but, uh, yeah, I just want to see more consistency from him because he could make some good plays.
Now we know he's what he's capable of.
It's just you gotta be doing it on it down the down basis.
That's what it's all about.
So then I was actually there was a little flick, a two or three yard catch by Hollywood, which, by the way, Hollywood Brown.
I know a lot of people were excited to see him make his debut.
For the most part, it was kind of it wasn't bad.
I mean, he you know, he impressed me.
I'll say that because I'm sure you guys know I was not a big Hollywood Brown fan when we drafted him before we drafted him.
But of course I am now because he's a rave in.
But my main concern with him was that he was mostly just gonna be a deep threat.
And, you know, I know he's good.
He has good routes, and it sounds like the game is back. Okay.
All right, guys.
So I guess the game is back, but I'll go ahead and continue finishing my thoughts because, oh, the game is officially canceled.
Okay, There you go.
So we did end up going 15 16 and oh, in the preseason.
Best a best preseason team ever.
16 and oh, man, If only we could do that in the regular season, right? But okay, so I guess the game is officially over now, so that's good to hear.
Um, now I don't have to worry about it because I'm like, man, just end the game broke.
I mean, it's what's the problem? So, anyway, you can probably hear on the TV in the background.
It's a little loud, but anyway, um, so going back to Hollywood Brown, I was impressed by that little two or three yard catch.
I know it was nothing, but it was he made like a one hander.
That was just very impressive and he got out of bounce on.
That was surprised because one of my main concerns was him catching the ball because I always like to bring up that game against Alabama.
He just did not look that very, very good.
And I know he was hurt.
We don't have to get into that.
But anyway, um, yeah, I was I was pretty impressed by Hollywood.
For the most part.
I would like to see him bulk up a little bit, but, I mean, that's just gonna come, you know, when he's in the NFL as he's in the NFL.
So aside from that man, Drew's my God, that freaking play, man, where he just dragged like the entire Eagles defense along with him damn near got a touchdown, man.
Drew's man and I posted on Twitter.
And, like, top three, tight end man Drew's, um, of course, you know, I'm kind of just being a total Ravens homer there, But this guy is a beast man, and I'm glad to see that.
I'm glad to see he made that play, that he was just dragging a bunch Eagles defenders along with him.
Um, you love to see it.
You really do love to see it. Zeus.
He was actually kind of disappointing.
He was making some mistakes.
He had some penalties.
He whiffed on a block against.
Uh, was it Was it Brandon Brooks? I'm not sure.
I'm totally Brandon Graham.
I'm totally blanking, man.
I I've had a few drinks, as you can probably tell.
Zeus definitely made some mistakes.
The side from just got to clean that up.
Man, you got to clean that up.
So Kenny Young, he was also playing pretty well.
I'd like to see that making tackles here and there.
Is it just me, or does Tyler Urban look a lot better back there than Cyrus Jones is a returner.
Now that may be a controversial statement.
I'm not sure because I know people.
I know the Ravens fans love Cyrus Jones.
I know you guys because he's a Baltimore kid.
I understand you guys want to see you make the team, I get it.
But I think that Tyler Urban as a returner, not necessarily as a player but as a returner.
I think Tyler Ervin looks a lot better um I just think he fits that role a little bit better.
So I don't know if he is actually gonna win the return job there.
Because, like I said, that's still a position that we need to address Cyrus Jones, though on defense, I just I'm not impressed, Men.
I'm not impressed.
If he really isn't next to step up, then he really needs to step up, because that just was not impressive to me.
But anyway, why the hell did Harvey's except that penalty on third and goal? I don't remember that.
But when was that? In the third quarter.
Probably the third quarter was just all eagles, man. We were.
I mean, Josh McCown.
We know Josh McCown very well from his time with the Browns.
We know what he's capable of doing to us.
He actually I think if I'm not mistaken, was it wasn't it him that beat us that one time? Um, back when the Browns were still trash, I think they beat us like 33 to 30.
You can You can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it was like an overtime or something.
I think Josh McCown might have been the quarterback there.
I remember a time that the Browns beat us, and I was so upset because I'm like, Jesus, man.
And I'm pretty sure we were in Baltimore in that game, so I don't remember what year that was.
It might have been like 2000 14.
13 month in 2013.
But, man, no, it was probably, like, 2015 anyway, but, yeah, Josh McCown, We know him very well.
Um, it seems like in the second half, he was really he was really starting to see.
Okay, these guys are bringing pressure.
Let me start calling protections.
And he was doing that pretty well.
I mean, he's a veteran quarterback.
Where do you expect that's the thing with Wings defense is that he's very good at tricking.
Um, you know, younger quarterbacks that are not used to just seeing crazy blitzes from, like the cornerback position.
But Josh McCown knows, knows a little bit different.
He's like, Okay, the pressure is gonna come from Brandon Carr or from the left side.
So, um, shout out to Josh McCown and looks like he's still got it.
That's cool to see Um, and the two touchdowns that that he that he threw were to J.
Jaw and to some random tight end that the Eagles had but shadow to J.
I would have loved to see his draft J.
J R single White site, but I'm not too concerned because I was looking at who gave up the touchdowns.
And I believe it was Bennett Jackson who gave up the touchdown to the tight end, and it waas.
I have it written down here.
Uh oh, Stanley Jean Baptiste.
So, honestly, I'm not worried about that at all, because it's like I'm pretty sure those two players are not gonna be making the team.
So I'm not worried that they give up a touchdown.
It's just not concerning.
It was last week.
It was a little more concerning when Anthony Avery gave up that such down because I was like, Come on, like you need to step up.
And it's one of those players that were expecting to really step in.
This have been a role this year, but if you if it's like Stanley Jean Baptiste giving up a touchdown, who cares? Bennett Jackson, who who gives a fuck, You know what I mean.
So, anyway, but aside from that, uh, Michael Floyd actually made some pretty good place, and yeah, I'll get to that penalty is well craving.
Um, and was was that game winning field goal yet? Yeah, I think that's what it was.
It wasn't over time, and they beat us by a field goal.
33 to 30. I believe.
I just don't remember the year, but I'm pretty sure it was Josh McCown That was starting that year, but yeah, I'll get to that penalty right now, Craven, but I wanted to finish.
Oh, yeah, Michael Floyd.
He actually makes a really good place.
I was surprised by Michael Floyd.
Maybe he's gonna end up making the team out of noise because I feel like we still have, because we have.
Okay, we have a lease need for sure.
Making the roster. Hollywood Brown, Miles Boykin.
Then you have Chris Moore for sure, making the roster by now.
And then I thought Seth Roberts was gonna make the roster, but now I'm not entirely sure.
I think you still have two positions there.
Um, that are not necessarily a luck because you have Jalil Scott who? You know, he was kind of hot and cold tonight.
He made some good plays, but then he kind of, you know, simmer down a little bit.
Um, so it's not a congrats tea for either of them.
I don't believe, but I was impressed, though I was definitely impressed by Michael Floyd, and he potentially is gonna make the roster because he is a veteran and, uh, you know, he's making place, so we'll just have to see how this works out next week.
It's weak for who we played the Redskins.
If I'm not mistaken, So that's gonna be the game man.
That's what that's what.
We're really going to see.
More of the wide receivers, I think, and more of the younger running backs.
The Lance Turner, Tyler Urban There.
Lance Turner had some good runs, but but other runs was like, Man, you know, So aside from that, um oh, Tara locker looks pretty good, and that's a player that I've been talking about for a while.
Back when we signed him as an undrafted free agent, I told you guys look out for lack of because I think he has a chance to make the team.
Why? Because he has some random name that you've never heard of.
And the Ravens just always seemed to develop those linebackers that have those weird names.
I mean, a couple of years ago, a few years ago, who heard of the name Patrick Owasso and nobody even know, knew how to pronounce his name.
And now look at him now. Look at him.
He's a beast. He's starting for us.
So I think all tyre lock is gonna be similar.
Um, he showed out that he's really good.
He's looked really good in the preseason.
He's that thumper style.
He makes those tackles.
Great and coverage.
But like I said, I always compared him to a CJ Mosley type linebacker.
So aside from that, yeah, let's talk about that.
That that that dish on Elliot penalty.
And speaking of penalties my God, how many penalties did we have in this game? These refs were just calling everything.
Every little thing was a flag, man.
I've never even heard of blue thing.
Seriously, it was insane.
And that Sean Elliott flag was probably the worst one of the night.
I mean, dish on.
Alia made a textbook tackle literally like you could not have had a better tackle than that.
And they gave him a flag for lowering his helmet.
Yeah, he lowered his helmet.
But what else is he gonna do? You know, he went with his shoulder and he went like this, and it's like it was a clean tackle, man.
And then they gave him a flag for that.
It just makes absolutely no sense to me.
It wasn't even, like, a hard hit or anything.
Uh, just I just saw a clean tackle, and they still gave him a flag on that.
And I just thought that was absolutely ridiculous.
Atrocious call by the refs.
Hopefully, we don't see that in the regular season, because that is just terrible.
So yeah, holy yellow flags.
But aside from that, guys, good to see that were 16 you know, in the preseason preseason champs.
Hopefully, we can continue that next week, and that's gonna be interesting if we actually go 17 and no, in the preseason.
Uh, we'll just have to see if it continues because, you know, you guys know that Harp's loves to win those preseason games, man, He takes a real seriously.
So aside from that, I think that I think that about covers everything I wanted to talk about.
So, thank you guys so much for joining my postgame stream.
This, uh, excuse me? This the replay is gonna be up on YouTube later on today if you guys feel more comfortable watching it that way, Um, I'm sure a lot of you are, so but yeah, make sure you follow me on Sportscaster Twitter, instagram all of those things.
You guys already know what's up.
So you thought we couldn't get this one? Don't doubt the ravens of preseason.
Yeah, that's right.
And you know what? I'm actually happy that I'm wrong about that.
I was actually I was actually very happy that I was wrong because I didn't think we were gonna lose this game because their delight actually did prove to me what what I thought was gonna happen.
And though they were just totally destroying this in the beginning of the game, But then as the game went on, the offensive line started to play a little bit better and Then, of course, the backups came in for both teams.
And then that's when it really started going on Trace McSorley.
I don't know if I mentioned him.
Uh, he had a great game shot on to trace McSorley.
Um, I know I'm already kind of doing my outro, but I'm kind of going back because there was some some things I missed, but trace McSorley.
Um he had a really, really good game.
I was very impressed, shattered to trace McSorley and, uh, you know, for the people that were saying that maybe he's gonna go to the practice squad? I don't think so anymore, man, he had a great game.
So aside from that, that's ah, that's probably gonna do for this stream, guys.
And if you're watching it on sportscaster, thank you guys so much for supporting me.
