very low scoring.
I have the Bears at under 20.
5 points as my number 10 prediction.
You know my biggest statements because I was convinced that Nick Foles last weekend Arantes played off in the way of the Saints play a very similar defense.
I just don't know how Nicole is going to really do, especially if, just like last week, guys like Allen Robinson, Jimmy Graham aren't necessarily in the game plan.
I don't know if they're going to rely on Darrelle Monley, you know, for pretty much the entire game, like what they were trying to do in the first half.
So ultimately, I see the Bears going at around 17 points.
Another one, I would say.
I think I'm a commerical.
Octavius Murray will both have pretty good games, but I have them definitely going under 165.
5 all purpose yards because, yeah, the Bears defense gonna make this close.
Like I think the Saints go in this game 22 17 is going to be a very good game, very close game.
But at the same time there's not gonna be a player that's gonna go for really over 100 yards. In my opinion.
You're the quarterback throwing.
I really don't see an individual player again over 100 yards this game.
Now watch someone score an 80 yard touchdown.
The opening playing well, there's that.
But at the same time, you know, I think for the most part Camaro Murray. We shut down.
The fairest defense is pretty good.
And then another one.
I would mention, as I do agree with Sam, I don't have the turnovers, but I do think the Bears will get over 2.5 ***.
As simply put Cleo Mac in that rest of that pretty good defensive line.
I know I know that without Eddie Goldman, but still overall, there's defensive line is still pretty good.
Say it's offensive line is pretty good.
That's why Ryan Ramp check.
It's a little bit weak towards the right side, so I would expect the Bears to get about three or four sacks and this one ultimately have the Saints winning.
But I agree with Sam.
It should be a very good game on more towards the defense of side and so yeah, those ones, I'm going to share.
Yeah, and actually put my NFL pick.
I'm that I'm about to show.
Uh, I didn't choose any of the bears and saints, and I think I'm gonna just lay off of that.
But if I was to choose one, I know the choice was the Saints winning over under 4.
5 points. I would take the under for that.
And again, Michael Thomas is out again.
I mean, he's been on existent.
We know he only played week one, and he got injured in that game.
So obviously, that's a big loss for the Saints.
And it has been this season, right? You know, saying should be first in the division.
Even if there was Michael Thomas.
I mean, the bucks have been so good that you could even argue that the bucks should be in first.
But anyway, I'm gonna show my NFL pick him.
Uh, look, do you have any other tips? You know, for any of the contest or for the bear Saints won.
You know any of you like keys? Like the must picks? Yeah, sure.
So I mean, you can apply this thio the NFL picking game or you can actually even apply this team to the, uh, the Vikings Packers game.
Um, I just I kind of like Minnesota this week here.
There's almost been, like, a re occurring theme, whether it's with Kirk Cousins or the team overall, obviously with the you know, do you like that? Kind of like in a video in that clip of montage, kind of being being played was back in kind of in Washington when the video was getting on him for not like propelling up to expectations.
And if you just take a look at Minnesota as a team, Um, in their last seven games, they're six and one against the spread in their last seven games after coming off of, ah, loss of more than I'm sorry when they've actually, you know, after they allowed more than 30 points of the specific game.
There are also six and one in the last seven against the spread following a double digit lost.
So given that it's Hey, you know, Green Bay is a heck of a team, Um, but it's a divisional game and you're getting 7.
5 points with Minnesota, so I like Minnesota with you know, plus 7.
5 points is a pick.
Whether you playing that in the NFL picking game or the overall, uh, you know, Vikings Green Bay game.
I also like, if you're playing that game on an individual level cousins over 1.
Now that if you actually just jump into the Sunday night game between the Eagles and the Cowboys in Dallas is just kind of a mess.
I mean, they're all 17 against the spread in the last seven.
Um, Philadelphia's got a little bit of, ah, some extra rest having played last week's Thursday night game.
So ah, lot of week, a lot of time to prepare for a Dallas.
That's, I mean, basically not existing at the quarterback position here.
So I like Dallas on their 18.
5 points in that game, and I would actually just live the 7.
5 points with with Philadelphia.
So from a pickup perspective as well as two basic themes for for some of the individual games, that's that's kind of what I'm thinking.
Yeah, and, uh, I mean, the Cowboys, I don't even know who that Q B is e mean.
Hey, I guess Join the contest.
It's an easy win.
I mean, yeah, you just go with the Eagles.
Forcing, like, five plus turnovers.
That's of course, this guy goes up the seventh round, you know, But anyway, let me show my screen.
This this is a contest you definitely should join.
And I mean, I think you guys gonna agree with my number.
Uh, Sam is gonna agree with my number nine pick just because he knows that is reasonable as well.
I mean, uh, see, attacks were so dominant.
Now, the 40 Niners, for some reason, you know, the dolphins crushed down on the patriots got blown out on, you know, they put up a good fight against the Rams, I think two games ago.
Uh, look, it's the C Ock Stone.
You know, the 40 Niners, they're not gonna win this game.
And if they do, uh, even lose this game, which will happen.
They're not gonna, uh, lose by under 3.
So I'm taking the over here and then the bills.
My man Julian Edelman is out to kill. Here is out.
And of course, Cam Newton has just been, you know, something.
Something has gone up with him.
It could be that he had that week off because he got co vid.
But anyway, I can do that is not the same candidate.
And we saw the first few weeks and I'm definitely taking the bills.
I have them winning by over 2.
I do think the lines will put up a good fight.
The lines are not that good of a team.
And the Coats, surprisingly, haven't been that good of a team.
But I do have the code 25/2 and a half Now the Chargers, I think, easily were won by over 3.5 points.
This is kind of a stretch here because we know the Buccaneers.
They're gonna win.
But is it by over 11.
5? I'm looking at it.
11.5, number two big.
But then looking at the scores of the Jets and Giants, No, they lose by more than 11.
5, but I was kind of hesitant looking at that.
Now, Chiefs Here's another 19.5.
I mean, looking at that, that is such a big number.
I'm going with you.
Got to go with it.
I mean, the game, like 45 to 10.
You got to go for that, E.
You should definitely go for it.
I'd probably like 24 points if but that would come like it a bit.
So 19 I think you're getting a bargain.
Now, the only reason I was hesitant.
Also, they played the Broncos last week and Patrick Mahomes wasn't on because they had the easy lead, so it could be that case.
But, you know, they moved down the field.
Even if they run it, it's his Jets defense.
I mean, even Chad Henny scored last week, so chiefs were fine.
I have the Browns winning by over 2.
Raiders coming up and talk loss.
Green Bay Packers.
I have winning over 7.5.
They've been a great NFC T. Now, here it is.
My bottom two picks.
You know, Mark, after the dolphins on here, it's not high at all and technically, like 13 picks, right? Not that big of an impact, but he ran the Dolphins to his debut.
E have the total points over 47 a half.
I don't know why.
Because the Rams defense is really good, but the Dolphins defense is also good.
But I do think that to a we'll get around three touchdowns. I'm serious.
Ah, it is a Rams defense, but the dolphins are hot.
I know you can't say they're hot because you had fits magic as the starter, right, So different Q b.
So I'm gonna take that.
And then this is easy for me.
I have the Dolphins winning, let alone if they lose.
I think they're gonna lose by less than 4.
So I have the Rams not winning by over 4.5 points.
So I know there's no Rams and Dolphins contest, but it's hard to have that.
You know, you don't really know what standard you was gonna be at, and you know how much is gonna throw foreign that stuff, But I'll just give you a little predicted.
I do have the Dolphins running this game in a close one, and it's kind of scary.
And when Donald I know when you have these picks, you always take the Rams defense or the sort of a matter of fact right there.
Such a good defensive line to was injury prone. We know that.
So it's gonna be kind of scary.
But hope of the Dolphins win this, and I'm gonna be confident.
And even if there and when, I think they won't win by over 4.5.
So that is that I could move this up more.
I'm just not confident.
And there's so many good picks ahead.
But again, if I was choosing the Saints and Bears one, I would pick the Saints not working, but over 4.5.
You know what? There we go.
How do you like that? So that is that.
So that's the statement.
That means, of course, during the contest, not too late.
And, of course, there's more contests that are coming week nine.
And, of course, the the NFL pick comes.
I really like Mark.
You like to pick him games, putting that in place.
You like to pick him games.
Do you think they're a good idea? E.
I think it's kind of easy that You know, I didn't do good last week, but I feel like it's easy because there's so many picks you can pick up e have the over under totals in there as well.
Yeah, and of course, the totals.
The total e actually did want to show something before he closed out.
Stay in the game before you head out.
I want to show everyone my results from last night's Thursday night football game.
Just so you see what it looks like, cause I join that contest and I got through a place.
So not a lot of coins, but you are getting amount of coins that you put in to join the context.
That's always good.
Yeah. If you're not losing, that's a win.
Yeah, so here it is.
Alright, let's join.
So I got 39 points.
I just came short.
I was 40 points ahead.
It was really a close contest.
Let me, actually uh huh go to my standings.
Just the just to show this eso Look, I just came short.
Could have gone in second place.
Click the points total.
Which which ones did you miss? Yeah, I'm gonna show that now.
So so here it is.
I had getting under 1 35.
5 or appropriate word, I guess.
What? I actually put these in thinking that Christian McCaffrey would play.
I made these pics early this week when it came out, and I didn't revise my picks.
Pretty the way Christine McCafferty in play.
Who cares? Mike Davis to get under 13.
5 Carolina tight ends? Not that good.
So I got the under for the yards and receptions Mike Davis again under a half touchdown.
Now I thought the Panthers will win.
They didn't, so I got this wrong.
Todd Gurley did get under 74 a half.
He, you know, he could have actually got over 47 a half.
But he got injured, almost the whole staff, and that's that.
And then my bottom four picks were terrible.
But again, like, what's so good about statement games? And I know Mark has touched on this, um, the place that matters, right? Obviously.
E my place Exactly.
Because my bottom four picks if I put them on the top, no way I would have, you know, got third place in this contest.
And, of course, he's bottom picks.
Calvin really didn't get over 69 yards.
He's gonna be out a few weeks.
He came or I mean, we could talk about this.
I told you when we were doing our prediction.
The Carolina Panthers have the best trio wide receiver, wide receiver career in the NFL.
Robbie Anger ****.
Curtis Samuel and D.
Moore. You know D j was the wide receiver one.
Now it looks like Robby Anderson is And kudos, Samuels producing.
So, uh, d. J. Moore.
I mean, he has competition.
So that stuff And of course, these were wrong.
So that is that.
So for Mark that down? Anything else you want to say? So I'm glad I showed, you know, those are what the results look like, guys.
And of course, they add up all the points and you get coins.
If you place top three.
I'm Obviously there's different.
Trump pulls for his contest.
I know the presidential election.
I believe that's a big price for right, Mark? Uh, yeah, well, it's just a bigger contest.
It za 12 personally, and I believe the entry fee is 10 coins as opposed to five.
So, um, it's definitely what? I gotta take a look.
And I think it's 120 coins the first place.
So that is that.
All right, so thanks so much.
Much more coming on. Of course.
Putting in these content each week.
I enjoy the content with the NDP guys.
Uh, great. So go.
You know, obviously the old sports talk show watchers were giving you a little preview, right? You could steal our picks.
Probably have to join you guys next week is I think the Masters is next week, so we'll probably have something special for that.
Yeah, Tiger Woods needs to get going.
E o E o in third place or higher.
I mean, you know, not thought placed.
We'll see you later.
Alright, guys, take care.
See you later, Mark.
Anyway, that is gonna wrap up the statement.
Let's get into some quick picks.
He test positive for code.
Doesn't really have an impact on him.
Signing with not signing, but entering the draft and then getting drafted by the Jets.
But this does affect Sam Immigrant because Boston College could potentially upsetting up the one ranked clubs is I'm commentating it tomorrow afternoon.
Make sure you turn in because of Boston College wins.
I don't care what the without Trevor Lawrence. I'm losing my mind.
So just if you want a crazy reaction of BC Winds makes you go check it out.
Clemson is not just built, you know, around travel on Z, right? It's Clemson and Alabama outside the cubes and even L s u like l s u doesn't have a good TV, but they still managed to be ranked because the defense, you know, they get high schoolers High school is gonna pick L s u and Clemson because they're better colleges.
But I obviously I'm still gonna pick.
Ls you are not LSD.
My bad Clemson wedding, but it's a nup set.
That is definitely possible.
Grants contain Definitely wanna watch that.
Because even if Boston College loses, they're gonna put up points.
And I know that baby.
Sixth in the league, in passing yards, soldier Vic.
So I believe I I hope you could do well discovering the ball more.
Samuel, your new frank backs bad.
I mean myself Earlier, I was talking to my brother anyways.
I didn't hear what you said.
I was like, What were you saying? You told me about Boston College.
What is your prediction for the game? Um, honestly, I still think Clemson will win easily.
I Well, I mean, not easily.
Not nearly as easily as they would have with Trevor Lawrence, obviously.
But I still think Clemson won by, like, 14 or 17 points.
Um, I mean, I don't want I've watched Boston College now and then, but I don't I don't know them.
You know well enough to so, you know, really have a good feel if they can.
Obviously, every week I see how dominant Clemson are.
Of course, Trevor Lawrence is gonna be a big loss.
But Boston College are still, like a huge level down from Clemson, So I would see I would I see Boston College having a very tough time.
I mean, maybe they'll keep it close until like halftime, But I just feel like Clemson.
We'll we'll take off a bit at the end, and it will just be too far out of reach for BC, So Yeah, I see.
Like a 14 point win for Clemson.
Probably, Uh, even though it would be amazing to see Boston College pull off the upset, obviously, hopefully BC upset.
Obviously, it's It's possible, you know, because I don't really know what to expect from this freshman that Clemson now have to start.
I don't even know how to pronounce his name.
It's even harder than to his last name.
But anyway, yeah, you guys always hear me struggling Last names.
But of course I have to get to his name to our talk of a lower simple.
Yeah, but But actually, the apparently the freshman they have that's gonna replace Trevor Lawrence.
Apparently, he was the number one recruit in the country out of high school.
Not gonna bring up when you're finished talking that this guy, you know, you get a little preview if Trevor Lawrence does enter the draft, which probably will happen, you know, you're getting a preview of this guy who will be, you know, the Clemson Q B.
Now, why? I was a little hesitant of saying that when you were done, Sam, because you know, good.
Q B is gonna want to transfer to Clemson, right? And he could transform take over his job.
So that's why I was hesitant.
But yeah, Grant, when he watches, it's gonna get a little preview of this backup QB for Clemson.
Who's gonna be the starting QB if there's no transfer next season? Well, the good thing about this is you learn from Trevor Lawrence, so he's bound to, you know, learn something.
I think he could definitely be decent.
You golly d j golly, I'm going to get better by the time the broadcast starts.
But, you know, I mean, I can't wait to see what this guy does.
I mean, again, learning from Trevor Lawrence.
He he should be decent.
Of course, Clinton has a fantastic coaching staff as well, so obviously it's gonna be a big drop in production.
But overall, I do agree with him often.
I do think I'm so when this came by about 14 point.
Although I'll be room for BC, but yeah, so I looked at the pronunciation of this guy's name.
It's actually Ah ooh a on Galilee.
You are way off in whatever way.
I was just looking at that.
I wasn't looking at, like how to break it down.
I was just like, looking at Yeah.
I mean, hey, I would never get that right.
So good luck, Thio.
My roster will be good.
Yeah, and well, here's them.
I'll be option decline.
So I want to cover two names.
Charlie Morning, Wilson Ramos.
Wilson Ramos was an obvious one that was bound to happen.
He's really struggled on the Mets and they want to move on from him and they're gonna go after Jakey remote or whether they get him or not, remains on soaring.
They if they, you know, if they don't go after J t.
I mean, they're going after him.
But if they don't get him, they are gonna look to go after mix Andino from the race for the Al champs.
Um, James McCann, I know is an option, but of course, we communities that are born priority.
So for Wilson Ramos Not that not that ever surprised, But Charlie morning.
This was a surprise.
He declined his contract, his option, my bed with the race and this was unexpected.
And this actually opens the deal.
Speaking the next declining Wilson Ramos is option for picking up for not picking up because they never had a morning but getting morning.
Who is now a free agent? The Max we know we're going after Trevor Bauer.
But we know they need pictures.
And if they fail to son Trevor Bauer, who everything wants, uh, Charlie morning is a perfect fit to draw on the gram and Syndergaard So those are the two names I want to cover.
Grant, if you wanna go to the two names I'll just talked about go ahead in other names if you want.
Yeah, I mean, definitely.
I mean, of course you know, Morton's deal was 15 million.
I was talking to many people on instagram.
They were saying, Oh, yeah, Charlie Moore.
He's bound to get, you know, resigned in the referendum like I agree.
I mean, the guy was Ah, fantastic picture this year, Like the race should absolutely resigned them right? That kind of like Zuno was out.
But I thought they were going to receive Morton because, you know, you were that close to the world syriza.
Of course, losing in six.
Why you all of a sudden taking a step back and getting rid of your second or your their best picture on the team.
I'm sure we'll get into the Blake Snell situation later, but really outside him, like, smells really your only very, very good starting pitchers.
While I'm trying to say correct, Morton was a fantastic pitching second pitching option, and I know they were going to save them.
But the Rays were to make it a Game seven.
They were going to start Morton that game.
It just doesn't make sense.
Why they just didn't resign them another razors a little bit on the cheap end.
But for a guy like Morton, you're gonna want, you know, resigned me.
Even for a team like the Mets, you know, I know they were only given a 15.
No, I could easily see a team of free agency trying to sign Morton for, like, you know, like a three year deal worth you know, 18 to 19 million.
Even I think this guy will ultimately be one of the highest paid pitchers in the league once free agency ends.
So overall, I think the reason a big mistake, you know, I was also hearing people tell me, Oh, you know that they didn't resign more.
Now we're gonna try again for cheaper contract free agency.
But again, I just don't think they're raising.
Gonna want to really go over that 15 mil mark where I think certain teams like the Mets, who are on the fringe of being playoff teams, we'll probably take the extra step and give him a few extra million dollars just to make sure he signs with them.
Right? So overall bad move by the Rays and all sorts gonna say one more thing.
Oh, my Yankee fans out there also follow me on Instagram.
I know you guys were sad about Brett Gardner.
He was one of my favorite players who, ever playing the Yankees.
I kind of think that he's gone and you might even retire.
But yeah, I definitely will Sprinkle on their the best luck as well.
And again, I have no idea what the race they're doing with Charlie Moore.
That's why I got yeah, I I tend to agree with you, Grant.
I will just start off by saying, I mean Gardner seems like a good guy and all but I can't like anyone who's ever on the Yankees, So I had to get that out of the way.
But, yeah, I I agree on on Charlie Morton.
I mean, like, I know he's getting up there in age and all but on, and I know the raise.
You know, even though they made the world Siri's, they don't have a lot of money compared to, you know, obviously big market teams like the Dodgers.
Um, but but the fact of the matter is, you know, you gotta pay this guy, you know? Yeah, around what he was asking for because he was He's one.
He was one of the best pitchers in their rotation.
And Morton can still could still be dominant at times.
And we saw that, you know that this, uh, this past postseason and even over the course of the regular season.
So, yeah, that that would be a big loss, I think for a Tampa.
I was honestly surprised to see that that the rays were making Charlie Morton available on the market, but yeah, So I I agree.
I agree with with that point, no doubt about it, I was kind of surprised Thio to see his name available because I thought for sure the Rays would would keep him.
Because I think that's what they should have done.
Especially, you know, obviously, it's not gonna be the end of the world.
The Rays are still gonna be, You know, they're still in exciting young team that are gonna are gonna, uh, have good years ahead.
But I don't know.
I think he could have kept Morton for at least another year, maybe two, and could have got ah lot of production out of him.
So, yeah, I would have kept Morton if I were them, to be honest, and so it makes a good point.
The Rays, they're still gonna be a playoff team.
You just need them to be that world.
Siri's team, They just were.
And I think without more and they are gonna be that type of team.
Would you agree? Um, no, I think they still will.
They have Ryan Yarbrough who is a good, uh, you know, second pitcher.
Now with that morning, and then they had some great, uh, rookie pitchers who are really going to step up.
We didn't see them in the playoffs, but that are really going to step up this season.
I know I saw them against the Marlins and the Mets, but, uh, reflecting on what Sam said about the raise, Yeah, they don't have a lot of money, but they have tons of room.
You know what I'm saying? Because they had the second lowest payroll.
Um, they don't have a big, you know, they definitely could sign Trevor Bauer to a Supermax deal, right? And they have money left over.
But you can't do with a few guys.
You know what I'm saying? Because you don't have the money.
Like the Yankees dio, even though the Yankees are definitely paying, you know, the race had tons of cap space.
That's what I'm trying to say, even though they don't have that much money.
They have tons of cap space, which obviously would still have if they picked up Charlie boardings option anyway. More.
I'm helping news.
White Sox hired Tony LaRussa as the new manager.
This guy's a Hall of Famer, and you could say he's a Hall of Famer skilled manager.
Maybe not anymore.
He last managed 2011 but he won the World Series for the Cardinals.
You look at that, You say Okay, but then you look at his age and you say not just that, you know you can't walk to the pictures mount.
You said that the style of coaching is just too old.
And I agree with that.
I think that the style of you know his coaching is not not really good anymore.
And I'm not going to say, Oh, we improved on it.
He hasn't coached since 2011 which is nine years ago.
All right? Yeah.
Uh, this is the signing that I could say that if it comes out good, I won't be surprised, because again, he he was a Hall of Fame player, which means you have skill, you know, the game.
But again, the last time he coached, who won the World Series? So if this turns out good, wouldn't be surprised, but I don't think it will Grant.
What do you think? Yeah, I'm pretty much on the same boat as you are rising.
I mean, it definitely has the chance to be a pretty good deal.
I think it could be, but at the same time, you know? Oh, sure.
You take a look at the last time you managed and we're like, Oh, you take a look at that World Series with ST Louis back in 2011.
You're like, Okay, White Sox were in playoff contention.
Might as well get you know what championship manager right is the thing nine years ago.
He hasn't managed a game since.
And I do ultimately do think that yes, the style of managing has probably gone past him.
But again, I think they're only saying it was like a two year deal or something.
So I guess it's not really the end of the world.
If you know, worse comes to worse, this doesn't work out.
I'm just looking at appear real quickly.
I mean, doesn't really say I think it was like a two or three year deal, so e poorly, you know, just maybe fire him after year.
I mean, madam, here's would manage because you fire them.
You know what I'm saying? Alright.
With players the years, man.
Because you there's no such thing as firing a player.
You release them and you're not gonna with the manager.
You know what I'm saying? You release you could you could fire man Have that a question.
E think this can work well for now.
But when the White Sox really start, you know, in a couple of years when they're probably like no longer, you know, you got a playoff team E Louis Robert Young Moncada, Um, Lucas Giolito.
He's very, um, Anderson's beast Too young as well.
I mean, the all young except Jose Value, but he he's not gonna win M v p.
But I do have him finishing second.
So without Chain Beaver, you have an M v P player and Sam.
What do you think? I mean, he has a good resume.
Yeah, this is just like super dumb, in my opinion.
For for the White Sox to dio, Askew said, They're super young team.
They were one of the most exciting teams in baseball toe watch, and now you hire Tony LaRussa is like, 78 years old.
I think he hasn't coached since 2011 and this was out of nowhere, in my opinion, and this is this is going to ruin the White Sox, in my opinion, because there's no way Tony LaRussa and the players are going to get along because Tony LaRussa.
He's had some controversial views before.
Um, that won't sit well with the players.
I don't think, and it's just it's not gonna mesh at all, in my opinion.
And I have no idea why they made this move because the White Sox were heading in the right direction. My opinion.
You know, they have a lot of great young players.
There were a fun team to watch.
And now now I think by hiring Tony LaRussa, that's all gonna be ruined.
And honestly, the one point where I disagree with some of what you guys said, I think the only good thing about Tony LaRussa is that he is a man.
He is, you know, a manager from, you know, usedto managing back in the day when the game was completely different.
And and I think we need to bring that back because we clearly saw it in the world.
Siri's the sport of baseball is, you know, getting ruined by ****ytics and eso.
Maybe Tony LaRussa will be a manager that I can tell you he will be a manager that goes on instinct, actually, because none of the managers today that there's no point of having a manager in baseball anymore, at least modern day managers, because they just listen toe what the ****ytics say and don't make decisions on their own.
You know, I feel like we have to go.
We have to go back Thio watching you know, the baseball we usedto love and with with, you know, guys with managers, making big decisions based on instinct and feel not just by going based on what the ****ytics say.
So I think Tony LaRussa well, actually, you know, be a manager who does go with instinct, and it does make decisions on his own, which could make some some White Sox games entertaining.
That's the only positive part I could maybe take out of it.
But honestly, I think it's good.
I don't know how long he'll be there in the first place, but if they keep him for for a while, then I think potentially that that could, you know, ruin what was, uh, you know, White Sox team with ah lot of bright potential and a lot of great young players.
I just don't see how how they're gonna mesh with Tony LaRussa, and yeah, it just doesn't make sense to me from the White Sox.
Point of view, I do have some breaking news with, uh, MLB option declines.
I have some more. I know the marlins.
Uh, I'm surprised they declined.
I'm kind of upset.
And that Brandon Kintzler was an amazing relief.
Petrie was there closer this season.
Uh, he got who saves in the two wild card games.
They won against the Cubs, and he got plenty of saves this season, and he was really good.
So they declined his option.
And the Indians declined to players options.
Brad Hand, who was a former Marlon.
He's been a fantastic relief pitcher and Carlos Santana, one of the best first ba*****ts in the game.
So Santana Brad Hand will become free agents.
Carlos Santana now enters the draft board.
The free agent borders.
I take a top 20.
Free agent Santana is a big name.
Would you agree that Salmon Grant? Yeah, so let's now get two a Week eight preview in the NFL.
I'm gonna start off.
I am so excited to, uh, his debut facing a tough Rams defense.
So let me tell you if do or does good in this week a game that's a tremendous sign that he could be the best rookie.
B because this is a Rams defense with this Aaron Donner, you know, defensive line.
And, of course, Jalen Ramsey's good outside and look to, uh, and the Dolphins had a by right.
They had a bye week to prepare for this game, and if the Dolphins win, I actually will be surprised.
But of course, I'm gonna say they're gonna win because I'm a Dolphin Span.
If they lose, I'm not going to cry about it because the Rams are a better team.
But the Dolphins, all in men, are beating better teams.
I think that they're gonna beat the Bills in a few weeks, and the Bills are better team than the Dolphins.
Um, the Dolphins are not the best skill team, but execution, like the Miami Heat, is very good.
And Brian Floors, I think, does do a good job providing execution.
But I think the key to the Dolphins game this week is actually the defense.
The Rams defense will stop Thio.
The defense will stop Thio, but I feel like the Dolphins defense will stop Jared golf and I think it's gonna be a close game.
Grant and San Predictions for two on his Week One matchup.
Do you agree with me on this? We know the Rams defense is going to stop tour, but the Dolphins defense will stop Jared Golf.
Look, their offense is not that explosive.
They don't have that good.
We're running back.
But what they do have is a good wide receiver corps. Jared.
I mean, Cooper Cup.
And, uh, Robert Woods is good, but they're not that explosive.
The Rams defense is explosive, and that's why they have such a good record.
But starting with you Grant predictions for this Dolphins game, I mean, I could definitely see to again over 200 yards passing and probably, you know, around 40 50 rushing if he, you know he really comes on his a game.
It's just the problem is, and I do think the Dolphins will ultimately slowed down Jared Goff as well, with a very good secondary, pretty underrated defensive line.
But I do ultimately think the Rams will win this game.
Probably like 27 20 would probably my prediction.
I think it was going to get into the end zone a couple times or you know, at least my, you know, bring Miami down the field a couple of times and I definitely think the defense will play well.
But ultimately, I just don't think it's gonna be enough.
I mean, the Rams or five and to the Dolphins.
I mean, a lot of people are saying, Oh, they're gonna make the playoffs and stuff this year.
I think the Dolphins have a very bright future.
And that's why I say Dolphins gonna make the playoffs next year, A little bit off topic, but like don't rush it to, I think he will be good.
But, you know, right now, my opinion Justin Herberts the best rookie quarterback and I hope to it can change my mind on that now.
And like I said, I think you know what the tough Rams defense to A should play pretty good.
But like I said, I think he's probably get over 200 yards passing.
Hopefully, no problem.
But yeah, ultimately, the Rams gonna win just simply because they're more experienced than a little bit of a better record as well.
So I'll probably Los Angeles, but yeah, 22 on the Dolphins there.
Nothing that public. Good fight. Definitely.
Now, Sam, I have a question for you.
Do you think even though the Rams defense is like super good? Do you think this could be a situation like the Week one matchup? And my excuse is going to be that no one knew what Camden would bring? There's not that much tape toe look at for two on.
That's because the NFL is different than college with Cam Newton, and there was taped to look at and either the Dolphins defense was bad anyway.
But do you think it could be this situation and you think it could be the situation against another defense? But just not the Rams defense? What do you think I mean? Yeah, possibly I I can't really, you know, predict how to is going to do Thio.
And that's why I think that the Rams defense can predict what he's gonna dio.
And I mean, yeah, but after all, it is the first NFL game for to us.
So, like anything could happen.
Honestly, you know, he could do great or he could do really bad.
You know what his number one target is many people are saying he likes president.
Really, I was about to say that, Yeah, let's go.
He's gonna have a good game.
I'll just say now he don't have three big targets.
Devante Parker is a big target because he always jumps up football's right and then checking.
And Xi'an? We talked about that extension.
I was messaging Grant about that extension.
But I mean, he is a top 10 backup tight end, and I think that he's not going again.
We talked about stats, right? Eric Ebron.
I think he's a good tight end. Top 10.
The stats don't show it with your Seki in front of she, and it's gonna be hard for She had to get a lot of activity, but I think he could.
Okay, we don't know what she was gonna throw toe, and this game should be just you know, Dolphins fans cannot be upset if they lose reason one while the Rams or just simply a better still teen.
The reason to We just don't know what to expect.
You know Devante Paul Kruger.
Second, Who is it? Preston Williams.
Does he hand the ball off a lot.
And now we know to us fast, right? You think it's gonna be about 50 rushing yards? Does he want to risk the injury? I do not know.
He had a bio to get ready, and I think the Dolphins could come out with the wind.
It's a 50 50 chance for May.
And of course, you could put fits magic in E.
I mean, you could put him in and do.
It really sucks anyway.
I know you want to dio Bills, Patriots, little preview.
But do you really want to? I mean, Cam Newton's been, I could say he's been trashed the last few games Interceptions, fumbles, history, going out three passing touchdowns.
And remember, one came from cinema against Kansas City.
Yeah, so he only has to again.
Look, Staden won't do any better than Newton, But look, I will back up sitting here.
Standing will not perform close to the skill that Newton is, and Newton's playing like trash now, but I do have a reason to place to them and Sam and Grant, maybe, like what is it has a reason to place to him over cranked volumes of folks who are witnessing history here.
The only reason.
And it's look, if I'm calling you didn't trash.
I don't even know what to call Stadium.
But just to give him reps.
You're not gonna win this week against the Bills, so just give to a reps.
That's look, I'm sticking up standing there.
If you want to get snaps.
Sam, do you agree with that? And what is your prediction? There's no I don't know, Harry Dalton.
Yeah, I don't know, man.
The the Patriots.
I don't know how they got themselves in this situation where all of their quarterbacks are awful right now.
Like, you know, it's it's just a It's just a really bad situation.
I don't know how they put themselves, you know, in this situation quite honestly.
Well, I do know they didn't They didn't think Cam Newton would be this awful, but he has been, I don't know.
I don't even know, like right now what the future is for New England, that quarterback, like they honestly might need to go after somebody.
Ah, in my opinion, like I don't I don't even know.
They clearly don't have any confidence that stood him because, you know, they would have put him.
They would have replaced him for, uh, they would have replaced Hoyer with him in the Kansas City game at halftime rather than waiting until the fourth quarter, whatever it was.
And the same can be said for this past game against the 49.
This past game against the 40 Niners, where, you know, Cam Newton could have easily been taken out and maybe should have been taken out at the half.
And and But clearly they don't have, you know, conflict any confidence with with Stidham.
And they didn't put him in until the fourth.
So that tells you what they think about stadium.
And then Hoyer is Hoyer.
We saw that mess in Kansas City.
So all three of their quarterbacks are just know awful right now, So I don't know what you dio I mean, hopefully Cam Newton Comm bounced back, but yeah, I don't know what on earth has happened to him.
He's He was so good, you know, like the first two weeks in, he couldn't have gone, you know, downhill any quicker.
I don't know what happened.
You know, people keep blaming Cove it.
But Sam, I did warning about that, though.
And it was It wasn't actually about his skill.
E did want me about how people are affected by Cove it, But I can't completely saying What do you mean? Come on.
Hey, keeps saying that he's 100% healthy.
That's the part I didn't say.
The part I said was that people are affected like physically.
He's not being affected physically but mentally, which I didn't bring up.
But I'm saying it could be.
I just think he's I I just think he's over thinking some things and I don't know.
He's just in it and I don't know honestly, what's what's going on with him.
But, I mean, there's past, you know, evidence that when he's had to face adversity, you know, he doesn't do too good.
You know? You look at you, look at the Super Bowl, where he didn't, you know, go for the fumble and all and all of that.
So now he's facing adversity.
Does he have, you know, the strength toe bounce back and, uh, and climb back up.
You know the ranks and get back to how we're used to seeing him perform.
I I just I don't know.
He's facing adversity, that's for sure.
But I just don't think I honestly each game like he plays, that he plays bad Mawr and Mawr.
I think like it's just not working out him in New England.
It's just This is my fear to like that.
It wouldn't be the fit, the right fit.
But you know, Then again, we said, I said, You know, we all said pretty much that it was there.
It was a sensible decision to bring Cam Newton and because you were paying him the minimum, you know, you're paying a minimum salary and then you had stood him as the backup.
But but But because we thought, you know well, they did what they were telling us time and time again.
That yes did, um, is gonna be the starting quarterback throughout the off season and gave us all of that garbage when they were lying the whole time.
But now we've seen, like, more of student, and that's not promising either.
And so that's your backup plan right now.
And so you're kind of you're in a horrible situation.
If you're New England and this becomes a must must win, you know, game against the bills.
And you know who knows how many moves they're gonna make at the trade deadline? Apparently, they're open toe everything so we could see some movement by, you know, Tuesday.
Um, yeah, but this is a must win against Buffalo.
Like I'm Listen, I'm not giving up on the season yet.
They lose to Buffalo, then they're in big trouble.
The only reason I'm not giving up on the season yet is because, after all, they're still in the A F C East, which is second worst division in football.
Still, in my opinion, obviously, the NFC East is first.
But, you know, I just I don't know about the bills yet, and the bills could, you know, choke on themselves this weekend.
How many times have we seen? You know, Buffalo look promising, and then they just continue.
You know, something Skill wise.
I don't think of the second worst, the record, the jet.
That's just bring that.
Then what's the second, then? What's the second worst? Um, well, obviously the first forces the NFC East, but I think the and NFC the A F C South.
No, I don't think e think that it is better. Come on.
His thing was that the Bills, Patriots and Dolphins, you know, they're all better than pretty much outside every team, that division outside, maybe the times and cult Like I think those three teams are better than the Jaguars and the Texans.
But you haven't.
Texans are like, despite only having one way, they're both 20 times better than the Jets.
Okay, anyway, the point the only point I was making is this is division where you could possibly go eight and eight or nine and seven and winning.
Oh, so that's why you can't you know you can't give up on the season if the Patriots won the NFC West.
Of course, you know they have no chance, but it's because they're in the A f C East.
It's still anyone's, you know, division so and you can be like eight and 89 and seven and, you know, still win it and deaf and perhaps get a wild card spot for Shuras.
Well, so that's all I'm saying.
Why I'm not giving up on the season yet because there's, you know, it's It's still the A F C East and it's still anyone's for the taking.
But, yeah, the Patriots dropped the two and five then, like my goodness, it's They're pretty much done because they're already, what, 3.
5 games back of the Bills.
So it's a must win on Sunday.
There's no doubt about that.
The problem is not that it will not happen, but like you like it can happen.
And it should happen, actually.
But that just shows how bad Bell check did like you could.
Trade forfeits magic, and it's not gonna cost a lot.
And plus, you're paying Newton a minimum deal.
But you have three cubes, and it's just gonna suck.
Not money wise, but just like Bill Belichick just made like a terrible you know, Newt and signing.
That's what we'll just add on.
Like the problem I have is, everyone applauds the Patriots for, like, you know, paying, paying all their, you know, paying their quarterbacks.
You know, the least amount in the whole league, and it's like if its three track, if they're three trash quarterbacks, what good does that dio I mean, we can't be applauding Bill Belichick for that.
And I mean, yeah, like I was I was just thinking like there's considering how bad Newton's been playing, even a guy like Teddy Bridgewater who you could have here for, like, one or two years while you you draft another Q b.
You know, in the second or third round and you develop him in the next thing.
That way you would still be.
You would still be a playoff team.
I think with Teddy Bridgewater, they would be a playoff team.
That's just a random example.
Um, and you wouldn't have to tank like just exactly how Pittsburgh did it. I mean, look at the Steelers.
They've never been below 500 with Mike Tomlin yet.
Big Ben was injured last year, and they had all these trash quarterbacks like Rudolph Hodges, and they still finished 88 and now they're one of the their their the only undefeated team in the league.
They never tank.
They were still, you know, in playoff contention that that's how I think the Patriots wanted Thio, you know, continue post Brady era where they'd still be, you know, a playoff team while developing the next guy for a couple of years and then and then And so you could, you know, kind of, um, you could kind of get your new team going and develop young players without having to, you know, to to tank.
But you know, now, now they're just in a bad situation.
But if they went against Buffalo, then I mean, hey, then they play the Jets next week and suddenly they could be back to 500.
So there's still so much up in the air right now.
It's still too early, but we we are at the around the midway point of the season, and that's why this is a must win for New England.
But, yeah, there's just so many quarterbacks right now that they're just like mediocre quarterbacks that could get the Patriots to the playoffs if they were playing at the level they can.
Compared to how Cam Newton and you know Jared Stidham are are doing so.
It's just Yeah, it's just a bad quarterback situation to be in for New England.
Alright, done with this conversation.
Patriots signed this man right now.
Someone needs to say, Play portals.
Just just get him E There you go.
No, no, Blake Bortles is better than Hoyer instead of combined state, um instead of is 0.1.
You combine that with Hoyer, whose 0.
9 that equals one and Bortles is 1.
So Borders is better than Horner instead of okay, But it would still be doing a better job.
Boroughs most likely, but it's magic should get credit.
I know I don't know why I said it first round pick in the group chat, but I couldn't send that for a reason.
He's not close to the skill level of a first round pick.
Not close, but maybe it's worth it.
I know the Cowboys don't make it far in the playoffs, but maybe it's worth it just to make the playoffs.
Just cause you could win in that division, right? E mean, I understand people are saying you're not gonna make it far, but maybe it's something just to make the playoffs.
That's why it's worth its magic.
You're gonna win that division.
If you got fits magic.
I promise you you won't make it on the playoffs.
But I don't know that Cowboys team.
I don't know. They're in a bad, bad situation.
We'll compare them to the other teams.
They're all in the back.
But, you know, those are in a much better.
So I think the Eagles are like Are mediocre team, which is good in that division.
So I I just think I don't know, but yeah, actually, Fitzpatrick's another example of a guy like Imagine.
You know, imagine if he he was, you know, in New England.
But he's a very likable guy, obviously, and he would definitely get along with Belichick.
And that would be, you know, that would I'm just thinking of, like all the different, you know, Not great quarterbacks, obviously.
But that air, you know, decent to good.
That would be so much better toe have right now in New England.
Then you know the way Cam Newton and Jared stood him and Brian Hoyer all playing you just You just have trash at quarterback right now for the Patriots.
Newton could turn it around.
That's always a possibility.
Um, it is supposed to be like, really bad conditions in Buffalo, like pouring rain with like 50 mile an hour winds.
So maybe that will mean we see more of the run game from Cam Newton than that might play to his advantage.
But yeah, I don't know. I don't know it.
It's not good right now for the Patriots, and it's simply a must win.
So that's something that game on Sundays.
Huge. No doubt about it.
And Grant, you're a little crazy before you wrap this up.
But whatever game you want, if there's any good games Dolphins, Rams.
Definitely good game.
But for you, Jack does have a bye.
So figure out Jack was gonna buy.
So hey, at least I don't have to, you know, get upset when they come about a play about benching Menchu again for Mike Glennon.
Way, uh, just keep chewing.
Anyway, I guess I'll previous Seahawks 40 Niners.
That's the game.
I'll be on the call for on Sunday.
If I do a four o'clock game and it should be a good game, I mean, you know, San Francisco, you know, winning that absolutely crazy Week 17 matchup on Sunday Night Football last year, not to mention the Si Ox beat the 40 Niners and Overtime in San Francisco on Monday night to, you know, drop the 40 Niners from the ranks of the unbeatens.
There is a hot, boiling rivalry.
I love on these to play each other.
You know, back in the early two thousands, when we have Wilson versus Kaepernick in, you know, the Legion of Boom against Patrick Willis and stuff like it's always been such a good rivalry since the Seahawks have gone to the NFC, and I just enjoy seeing both of them play each other, you know, beat the heck out of each other pretty much twice a year.
I do have Seattle Wing on Sunday simply because it's in Seattle.
I think San Francisco probably won the game when they play in San Friend, but that's besides, the point.
Errors are Excuse me.
Yeah, well, they're gonna wanna come off from that, you know, lost Arizona in overtime.
They're definitely looking out to get some revenge for the 40 Niners.
Take a look at this.
They win this game all of a sudden.
She also has two straight San Francisco's won three straight, and now we pretty much have a four way tie for the division lead.
I mean, what's up with that? And the Cardinals might be able to take the division lead.
You know, San Francisco in so ah, lot of playoff implications down the road.
Depending on this game, it wouldn't even shocked me.
This is the best game on Sunday.
I I know they're playing the Saints and Bears and set on Fox, which it's a good game.
Me personally, I would rather watch point. Now you're Seahawks.
But listen, it's gonna be a good game.
I got Seattle winning by 3 28 to 25.
Guys, move your scores if you want for that game.
But yeah, I think so.
I was gonna win a crazy good game.
It's gonna be fun.
Jimmy Garoppolo always shows up against Seattle.
I, you know, pretty much every year, is well, I do know San Francisco's without Deep Deebo. Samuel.
I think that'll definitely playing effect.
You know, they are going to be able to do a lot more gather place than what they wanted.
And I do know that Jeff Wilson got hurt last week against New England, also where he most turns out.
Maybe it's San Francisco's more healthy and have more faith in them.
But I definitely got Seattle.
Yep, So that's going to wrap this up.
