meeting hello over one and welcome into another broadcast.
Today we have the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons look toe win their second game of the season while the Panthers look toe win their fourth and improved to 500.
And they're looking at D.
Moore to provide them with some offense.
Robby Anderson and D.
Moore lead the NFL among duos in yards.
So a great game.
This should be, especially with Teddy Bridgewater, who is top 10 league in passing yards.
I believe he's actually fourth this year, so it's been a great year so far for the Panthers offense.
Calvin Ridley career versus the Panthers, six catches per game, 106 receiving yards per game and four touchdowns, which is the most risk, any opponent.
So they're gonna be relying on Ridley a lot tonight in that offense is very, very good.
When Matt Ryan is doing good, which he normally is, Matt Ryan obviously leads the league in passing yards.
Use great quarterback, and, no, I am not a Ravens fan.
If you were wondering Big Pats fan New England sports fan.
I'm wearing these Ravens PJs because I want to.
Okay, I have them and I wanna wear them.
So that's my explanation, or what the heck is wrong with this shirt? I don't know.
Atlanta to receive the kick big of America Stadium, and this kick will go out to the 25 yard line.
If you have not already make sure to follow me on SportsCastr That way you don't miss a single broadcast, whether it's a commentary breaking live news, whatever it is.
And make sure you don't miss Matt Ryan playing great football because he's got 2000, 181 passing yards and we're not even halfway through the season.
And that's just what Matt Ryan could do.
However, their defense and other parts of this football team has led them to a 16 record, and once they were only able to beat the Minnesota Vikings, Matt Ryan airs, went out downfield and completed Olio Jones out to the 47 yard line, and the first catch of the game in the first play is a 25 yard Plato Julio Jones, and he is one of the guys that's been talked about a lot heading into trade frenzy over here, Him and Matt Ryan.
They both say they want to stay in.
Ah, Falcons uniforms.
However, Do you really think that's the case? I don't know, but we'll see Matt Ryan again looking downfield throws, and it's complete again to Julio Jones and they're down to the 25 yard line on two straight catches.
Matt Ryan completes another one to Julio Jones, this little fake to Todd Gurley Play action and you've got Julio Junk.
Just beat the guy in man, and he's ableto make the catch to thank you Dallas girl for joining the broadcast.
I'm pumped up because we have, ah, great game here today.
I'm expecting you to be very, very close, and I'm expecting Julio Jones to get a touchdown right here.
I mean, why run the ball? Throw to Julio Jones again? There from the 23 yard line, they fake the handoff.
It's not Julio Jones, but it's a first down, and it's down to the 13 yard line with Hearst.
Hayden Hurst, the tight end with the catch.
I am running off the play action in the sets up as a blocker, then goes out and gets the catch.
And Raheem Morris, the interim head coach right now after the Dan Quinn firing, they're looking for any sort of offense.
They confined, and I think they're gonna find it.
Excuse me? They're looking for any kind of football.
They've got a good offense.
I think they're gonna find some great football here today. Is they already have.
Here's the run, and it just gets back to the line of scrimmage.
That's Todd Gurley.
Actually, you may have actually gotten a yard, but there were guys swarming at him like bees real quick.
Todd Gurley played it very good in his first few years in the league, and he's kind of declined trying to do something with the land of this year that, you know, people.
A lot of people are doubting him, and he had down here last year and you wondered, what was he going to do? Anything with Atlanta and we'll see.
I mean, they're coming off of obviously another great running back in that position.
So now you're going to Todd Girl and you got to see how it works out.
Play clock at one.
Ryan throws and completes its and this gets down to the four yard line is going to be third.
It's gonna be third and two after the completion.
And that was Calvin Ridley on the catch and they handed off and this gets close to the first down and it looks like it might be they might just be a little close, a little too short, rather to the first down.
Devante Freeman, obviously the former running back here.
So you go to talk, girl, you're trying to make some stuff happened, obviously, Devante Freeman wanting the money wherever you can get it and was willing to not play this season if you didn't get the money.
And, boy, if I was an NFL player, I'd just be happy to be playing on a playing football.
I love football, and I wish I was in NFL player.
That's my sad speech for today, and it's gonna be a time out for the Falcons at fourth one at the three yard line with 11 17 to go, they had the two straight plays to Julio Jones.
Then they threw it to the tight end Hurst.
Then they ran it and then they threw it and then they were in it again.
Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, the most exceptions by any wide receiver to be tandem in NFL history, their second on that list.
So now Young, who cou it was 15 of 16 this year as long as the 54 yarder, and he's going to attempt a short one here, and it is right through the pipes.
The Falcons lead it after, Ah, good drive that ended and only a field goal, 11 14 to go on the Panthers.
And that rules offense taking the field after this after you know what? Let's stay here.
Thank you, Michael C.
I wore the Ravens.
PJ's doing you would be here.
I wore my Ravens.
You see, I knew I knew that Michael was going to come here today.
So that is exactly why, or my Ravens pants over here.
That's definitely why whoever wins this game is gonna I think the Panthers, We're gonna win this one tonight.
I think the Panthers, they're gonna finish third in this division.
It's unfortunate because the Panthers really are just teensy bit away from being a playoff team, and it's unfortunate there in their division.
They are because put them in the n f C East and they're leading the division.
So I wish they were over there because really, I just what the Panthers were doing right now, they are obviously all their picks in the draft, I believe, went too.
They're trying to make sure the defense does their job.
And obviously, signing Teddy Bridgewater and dropping Cameroon in the off season was a big move.
Teddy Bridgewater went 50 with the Saints last year when he was in it quarterback.
So that's what I'm thinking about.
I'm just thinking about how they're gonna get things flowing if things don't work out this year because they probably not gonna make the playoffs.
Thank you. Silly assignment for doing the broadcast.
However, the Panthers are a good team, and I could see the finishing 79 or 88 you know, they're they're not a bad team.
They're just not there yet.
And you know, Teddy Bridgewater, let me see well, what the hunters have them.
I'm trying to figure out who if Teddy Bridgewater, Teddy Bridgewater's, I believe, fourth in passing yards in the NFL Let me see.
I wanna I wanna get you guys to step.
He is not third.
He's fifth, so he's fifth with 1930 passing yards.
So think about that.
Teddy Bridgewater is having a great year.
And number one, obviously.
He's playing so good behind Teddy Bridgewater is Tom Brady and Patrick moms and then Russell Wilson.
So, yeah, I mean, Teddy Bridgewater is a really good Q B.
And then you have Robby Anderson, who has 46 perception or yeah, 46 receptions for 640 yards this year And keen.
Excuse me, I was gonna say Kenyan Island, Um, Mike Davis, who's got 37 for 233 you've got D.
J. Moore is 31 for 567.
So they really have some good offense that they just need to get together with the defense and they need to get.
Offense is a complete, but they're trying to get things to a point where they feel like they are the team to beat.
Uh, not the team to be, but at least the team that they can go to the playoffs feeling confident is Teddy Bridgewater heads out to the field.
Silly Simon for during the broadcast and following.
I'll put you hit you back with follow.
Not gonna hit you.
I'm just gonna hit you back with follow.
So the Panthers, they're doing all this without their star running back, Matt, and overall 99 Christian McCaffrey.
So they're doing this without him, and it's so special.
So imagine if they had him.
They could be four and three right now.
Teddy Bridgewater on the field now is they have the ball of the 25 yard line 1st and 10.
He takes the snap throws and it is incomplete.
He was looking over the middle for D J.
Moore, who is slow to get up.
And you've got a Falcons player banged up on the play as well.
She's a little crossing around over the middle, just a normal football player trying to connect.
And it's actually not a bad throw.
It's just it actually just hits right off of D J Morris hands.
So he just dropped this ball.
It's a good throw by Teddy Bridgewater.
So we've got an injured Falcon down on the field, 2nd and 10 for the Panthers with 11.
10 to go when we returned after the break.
You're on SportsCastr, Okay.
Experiencing a shortness of he? Yes, because these are these a serious condition.
I'm serious, just and we're back with the broadcasts.
We have the Panthers and the Falcons, and you've got Kendall Sheffield in the medical tent.
He was banged up after that last play on the crossing route throw from Teddy Bridgewater to D J Moore.
So 2nd and 10 now from the 25 Falcons up three to nothing if you're just joining us.
There were two place from Matt Ryan where he threw it down field the whole your Jones for Drew completions.
And then Then the drive slowly faded out.
Another crossing route over the middle in the past is complete to the 30 yard line to Robby Anderson.
You can catch the ball here a lot more than I can speak words right now.
56 were joining the broadcast.
Teddy Bridgewater, Onley player in the NFL with a 70 plus completion percentage and more than 1900 passengers.
I believe is what that was going to say and he took a hit at the end of this play.
Third in five now, and they've got nobody in the backfield.
Bridgewater is 76.
8% on third down, which is second in the NFL.
So you can see why this Panthers offense provides on third down.
They'll try and do it here, and they cannot as, uh, Robby Anderson run out of bounds.
And this is gonna be pass interference on the defense.
And this is gonna move them 15 yards and get him the first down, all in one shot.
So an automatic first down for Atlanta spotted the Fausset was more than 15 yards downfield, And that ref was excited to say that Must must have Robby Anderson on his fantasy team out there.
I'm just kidding.
These refs do a great job from the 38 yard line.
Bridgewater, fix the handoff under pressure in the backfield is ableto throw it away.
Wow, he was He was He was all the way back in the 30. And this.
Let's see what the penalty is gonna be on here.
It looks like it might be on the defense.
It's not intentional grounding because he was nowhere near the pocket.
We'll see what the penalty is on.
It looks like it might be on the defense here.
We might get a holding call, unnecessary roughness on the defense and a 15 yard penalty.
That's a backbreaker.
Those air the place right there for the Falcons like us.
And that's just that's just a football player.
You know, you're just going out of bounds. You're going to hit the guy.
I don't know if you could really say that.
There's anything there I don't know.
But those are the plays that really hurt you.
If you're Atlanta, you're trying to get a good stop, make him go on three plays and get out of this drive.
So that's just a back breaker right there.
So now, down to the 47 yard line of Atlanta, Bridgewater takes the snap in.
They were on it for the first time tonight.
This gets down to the 40 yard line, and that would be Mike Davis.
The running back second of three Bridgewater takes this time is the play clock.
Winds down to under five seconds, takes the snap with two throws, incompletes it to Mike Davis, and he gets past the 35 down to the 30 year online picks up the first down to, and the Panthers get the offense going tonight.
He puts a little move on Neil and then keeps going.
And that's a nice play right there and again.
Bridgewater almost got hit on this play.
It was like the different it was like.
Nope, Not gonna hit.
Indeed, don't want another penalty.
Mike Davis, 38 catches with, which is the most by a running back in the NFL.
So they've utilized them a lot in the passing game, with McCaffrey out looking for some extra often, so they like to throw the ball a lot.
They run it here with Davis, and he is able to get a good block from Bridgewater and gets all the way down to the 10 yard line.
Helmets come off, and what a run by Mike Davis, who was right away, met at the line he got.
He says, I'm gonna go the other way.
Is ableto just barely get away from the tackle, and then Bridgewater puts a keen block right there on the defender, and those are the points right there.
When a football player like a quarterback, that's when you know you got a good quarterback.
He's not just gonna be like, Oh, I don't wanna get hurt.
That changes drives right there And that picked up the first down, gets them down to the 10 and get you paid down to the 12 yard line.
Actually, Bridgewater takes the snap.
They handed off again, and this run goes in for the touchdown.
Samuel and the wide receiver Curtis Samuel takes it in, and the Panthers take the lead 6 to 3 with 8 14 to go.
Both teams scored with 14 seconds remaining.
Uh, after the minute, if you know what I mean.
11 minutes and 14 seconds, eight minutes and 14 seconds just picked up on that.
But Curtis Samuel lines up as the running back quote unquote here, and they get the touchdown.
So the running game right there after a few passes help them out and they take the 6 to 3 lead with which an extra with an extra point will become a four point lead.
And it is good 7 to 3.
The Panthers lead it off of some Samuel on Mike Davis offense.
The Panthers show why they're gonna go four and four.
If they continue like that, they certainly will.
We'll take the break.
You're on SportsCastr.
Yeah, Just well, and we're back with the broadcast.
So this is something I want.
I've been telling in some of my recent podcast.
I just started a new podcast called What's up? Sport Podcast.
You can find it on Google podcast.
You can find it on pocket casts.
You can find it on Spotify, apple podcasts and many other places.
I'm so excited about this new podcast.
Episode one just went out on Tuesday.
It was about NFL Week seven recap.
I'm gonna be doing 2 to 3 podcast episodes every every week while continuing doing NFL commentaries and breaking news on SportsCastr.
I'm very excited about this new podcast.
Please, please, please go check it out.
I I would be very happy if you did.
It's greatly appreciated.
And this new podcast, like I said, just came out and it's gonna be 23 times a week and you could find it on Spotify apple podcast in many other places.
So I'm very excited about that in the next podcast episode I Should Be Doing will be on Saturday for previewing Week eight of the NFL.
So I'm very excited about that.
And I bet the Panthers were excited about their offense right now as they went out there and scored 7 to 3.
And now the Falcons offense gets back on the field with Matt Ryan and Todd Gurley in the Falcons.
Messed up in a last week's game against the Lions, where Todd Gurley I got a good run and then forgot to stop what she's done before.
He forgot toe stop at the one yard line and went in for the touchdown.
So that's Yeah, that's right, Joe Buck.
That's why they lost that game second down now for Atlanta.
So they would have most likely won the game.
So just unfortunate turn of events right there and he should have stopped.
He should have stopped.
It just didn't and I've never seen an opposing team be yelling.
Touchdown! Touchdown! Yes, it's a good touchdown.
So it was really funny.
Matt Ryan again throws and again completes it to Julio Jones and Matt Ryan, now five of five passing And this is the third time he's hit Julio Jones 1st and 10 for the Falcons, who continue to utilize Julio Jones, who is such a great receiver.
And this is exactly why I want him on New England.
But I want Matt Ryan and Julio Jones on New England right now.
Matt Ryan, 83 yards.
Julio Jones, three receptions, 65 yards now from the 42 Ryan less than 10 seconds on the play clock.
Now winding now takes the snap.
Hands it off, and it's Todd Gurley who gets a run for about two yards.
If you did not know, the Patriots will not have Julian Edelman in Week eight against the Bills, who they desperately need to beat.
Julian Edelman has I believe the surgery, so he is not gonna be in.
He should miss them some more time, maybe two or three weeks after that.
Hopefully, not too, too much time.
So present thoughts go out to him.
Hope he gets better soon.
And that's just one more thing for the Patriots.
They've already got.
They've already been banged up in so many ways, and they're taking another hit now with Julian Edelman as they really need to beat the Buffalo Bills.
So less than three seconds on the play clock.
Now Ryan takes the snap throws downfield, and again it is caught.
Would you play defense on Julio Jones? His fourth catch of the game? And that's when I feel when I'm playing football with my friends.
You know, that's the That's the kind of game you always wanna have.
You always want to make every single catch down the middle and just destroyed the defense.
Not Ryan now over 103 yards with still 5 44 left to go in the first quarter.
And Julio Jones continues to dominate, and I believe he just went to the bench.
Atlanta Excuse me, Carolina.
This is your time to play good defense.
Now practice without Julio Jones on the field and the Falcons.
They're toying with the Panthers right now, which really isn't that funny because you guys were one and six and you're actually losing this game right now, but do what you do.
You, I guess, 2nd and 10 now for the Falcons and that rules defense that you spend so much time into, uh is not providing right now at all.
They have allowed Julio Jones Jones to catch the ball four times, and Matt Ryan's already got over 100 passing yards.
Julio Jones back out there again from the 36 yard line.
Ryan takes the snap, and this past was intended for Hearst.
It looked like, I mean, that girl, it was just miscommunication between him and Julio Jones.
It was right in between.
Let's take another look at it.
Julio Jones doesn't another little bit of, ah, crossing around to the middle.
Unless, yeah, I think that that's intended for Julio Jones.
Maybe. And it was just him going back.
Or maybe he was trying to look for purse there.
I really don't know and thank you, K L W for during the broadcast, and Matt Ryan and the Falcons offense is gonna want to go over.
They're going to take their second time out.
I mean, I'm Matt Ryan.
This offenses right now is dominating like every single time.
They're throwing the ball to Julio Jones and the Panthers can't do anything about it like they seriously cannot do anything whatsoever about it.
Like seriously, every play.
It's a crossing round up the middle, and they can't.
They can't defend it whatsoever.
So it's just It's hilarious.
I mean, the Falcons their 16 But boy, Matt Ryan, it's such a great quarterback in Julio Jones is such a great receiver.
So that's why we the New England Patriots, need to sign Julio Jones.
Don't be fooled by these Ravens pajama, as I am a Patriots fan.
And we need to sign Julio Jones and Matt Ryan somehow, even though they want to stay here.
Julio Jones again out there to the left side of the screen.
And we have got a time out from Carolina.
So you would think this would be the last play of the game over here.
And now the Panthers want to talk about it.
So, yeah, that rule.
Guys, guys, this is what we're gonna do now.
We're gonna defend Julio Jones, and we're gonna, like, triple them up and yeah, that that's the plan.
Okay, we're gonna triple up.
Julio Jones rushed nobody and play good defense.
That's the plan.
And they barely rushed anybody.
They rushed three guys and we've got a flag on the field so we might have an offsides.
We've got a false starts, so this is gonna move the Falcons back five more yards and make this a 30 15.
So now we're definitely throwing the ball to Julio Jones now.
And yet all the offensive lineman went right back.
Everybody but the center.
That would have been funny.
So Matt Ryan, six of 7 103 yards and its 3rd and 15 now for Atlanta's offense and hit Julio Jones.
Right now, this is your chance.
They rushed three.
Matt Ryan has time throws and completes it to Calvin Ridley.
Paul goes out at the end and they're saying he was down.
It would only be a few more extra yards, so Calvin Ridley comes up with the catch here.
Julio Jones wasn't the target, but it was Calvin Ridley for the first down.
So Julio Jones just going downfield and he's caught right in the middle of his own coverage, where he's about to head towards the safeties and it would have been interception, most likely so passing yards.
Falcons are at 119 and the Panthers said it just 16.
They run it and this run gets down for the first down to the 15 year online.
And it was Hill on the run and another great play from this Falcons offense and New England.
They are second in the league, second worst in the league.
I should say 31st in explosive plays.
The Falcons have explosive plays, another reason to sign Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, the worst team in like an explosive places, obviously, in the New York Jets, I mean, does their record look explosive? I mean, maybe two, uh, people who bet against them.
They're open seven like Gosh, this throw to the end zone is over.
Julio Jones head, and he would have had to bend.
Hey, would have excuse me head to be 10 ft up there.
To even contend with that.
Paul and Calvin Ridley was actually becoming open.
He had already started to throw the ball as Calvin Ridley got open.
But this is just over the head of Julio Jones, and he actually looked at the end of this play.
Julio Jones is triple.
He's double covered at the end of it, so there was really no chance even if he got a hand on it to come down with the kids.
She had a guy coming right at him.
Might have been a penalty.
Might have got a shot at it.
Ryan, under pressure, escapes the pocket throws, and it is incomplete towards the back of the end zone to Julio Jones.
So Matt Ryan, who started off six for six, is now seven of 10 for 119 yards.
So the last four passing attempts have gone south for the Falcons.
Is there one and three on those passing attempts? And it's kind of this just hits off the whole Your Jones head hands Rather, and he had a he had kind of, Ah, uh, I don't know what the expression is.
He had a feel for the ball at the end where it was going to drop, and then he gotta hit the end.
Ryan under pressure a set and the Panthers defense comes to aid on the drive, and they will force the Falcons into another field goal from the 19 yard line.
So once more they start off the drive with a lot of place to Julio Jones, and they end off with another field goal attempt so forth and 16 and young who cou made that first field goal look pretty dang easy.
And this one, it makes look even easier.
Puts right through a 38 yard or, like it's nothing 7 to 6.
The Panthers up by one, we'll be back with the Panthers offense coming back out shortly.
Right after this.
Seriously, Keep amazing.
Yeah, yes, genius.
Thank you, and we're back with the broadcasts.
Like I said, if you have not already, you should go check out my podcast on Spotify Apple Podcast Podcasts.
Google podcast Many other places.
It's called What's Up Sport Podcast.
That's the what's up sport podcast.
You can find it in a lot of places where you will get your podcasts and very excited.
It's a sports based podcasts, all about sports, all about giving you the insight to the NFL.
Excuse me, an MLB, and my first episode was just released, and it was on NFL Week seven recap.
And when we will have NFL predictions coming up for you for a week A.
On Saturday, 2 36 left to go in the first quarter and Young, who coup to kick it away.
He's made two field goals tonight, and he's been used a lot early on down 76.
And there is a flag on the kick and the return goes out to the 19 yard line and right away as soon as you kick the boy.
So flags go flying everywhere, so there's multiple flags on the play.
Most of it's gonna be an offset.
There was late hits, and then there was maybe a false start or something on the kick.
If that's even a thing, both of the fouls on Panthers.
So it's a 15 yard penalty, and they're both on Atlanta.
So Atlanta is going to give the Panthers some breathing room.
So here's Teddy Bridgewater back out on the field from their own 37 yard line.
Now we've got some.
Let's see what we got going on here.
No flags on the field, but it seems like they're gonna replace the ball here.
Okay, so now they're going to take it from their own 34 yard line.
Balls miss position.
So Bridgewater takes the snap throws and completes it to Robby Anderson and he keeps going down to the 39 yard line after the catch and a missed tackle.
There's a flag on the field and we'll see what the flag is here and holding on the defense.
So Atlanta is going to get moved back.
This is gonna This penalty, I believe was declined.
So, Lane, is gonna I have some tough, uh, defense to play here because this the penalty was on, uh, the coverage on Samuel.
So they're down to the 39 yard line first to 10 now to 10 to go.
Time taking down.
And this will be the last play. Oh, wait.
There's no two minute warning.
Ethan were in the first quarter.
What am I saying? It goes back to the 45 yard line.
Feels like we're in the fourth quarter over here. We got some.
Offense is booming.
We've got the defense is not booming.
2nd and 14 from the 43 year line, Bridgewater takes the snap, fix the throw hands.
It often gets down to the 38.
So, uh, third and nine coming up for the Falcon or that.
Excuse me? The panthers.
But this is just a silly plan.
Don't even know why they're handing it off here.
I would throw it.
I mean, everybody is literally right.
I don't know why I would have run it there.
I would have thrown it.
So they put themselves in a 39 position.
Now they're relatively somewhere.
I don't even know where their field goal range would be.
Here it be somewhere around a 30 would be a 40 b, a 56 yard field goal.
So I don't know if they wanna attempt that.
You'd like to get a little closer somewhere down to like the 32 yard line.
And pressure gets to Bridgewater back to the 49 yard lines to the Falcons.
Defense holds them.
And this will be the first point of night for either team.
And Bridgewater can't do much on this play.
The defense is coming right at him, and there's nothing There's Those were one of the place for a quarterback where there's literally there's nothing to dio.
You can't do anything there.
You just gotta hold onto the ball and not not take a fumble.
You Well, you got to take a second.
You can't give up a fumble.
And that's gonna end the first quarter.
That will end our broadcast A short one today, just on the first quarter.
Hope you guys enjoyed.
And I will see you all the next broadcast with the Panthers and the Falcons.
We'll see how it turns out.
Panthers up 7 to 6.
And thank you, everybody for joining the broadcast.
