and we're here with another edition of the Nick is show.
This is Nick ish at night our weekly episodic show where we bring in a new guest every week And this week's guest is Andy from nothing but Knicks were so excited to have you on the show, Man. Welcome.
Yeah. What's up, guys? Happy to be here.
Appreciate you coming on.
I know we started this Nikki shot night thing with Theroux.
You know, part of the NBK fan.
So we figured the next guy natural choice had to be Andy, you know, happy to be the special guest.
I'm not gonna lie.
First time a guest on the show because I don't consider myself a guest on sim show on part of the crew there.
So you know, I'm happy to be a special guest.
It's a privilege for me, E.
Hey, man, you know the guest here either.
If we're all part of the NBK fam, right? You know, extended family Now for the viewers who are not familiar, let let these guys know what time it is over there. Right now.
Where your three minutes after 1 a.m.
So it's after midnight.
I'm a day ahead of you guys that it's it's it's insane.
You know, we we like to think that were die hard Knicks fans.
But then when you got someone from the other side of the world who is up at one AM on a what is it? They're like Thursday right now on Friday? Yeah, Thursday, Thursday, talking about the Knicks a couple of weeks before the season starts.
That's dedication, and it's it's awesome.
See, they even doing it.
You're telling us before we we got live here, that you're trying to prep your body, uh, head of the season so won't tell us a little bit more about that.
You know, it's hard for for Knicks fans in Europe on probably the rest of the countries, because the games perfectly played at 7 30 on where I live in in Europe, in Poland, it's a six hour difference Now.
It's five hours because we changed time and you guys still didn't.
So it's five hours so on.
You know, uh, it takes a toll on the body when you think about it because, you know I only go to bed for I'll get power and happen.
Our then it get up for? For the game.
Watch it for three hours.
And then, you know, go to sleep for an hour or an hour and a half and go to work.
Right? So when you think about it and and they're like, you know, back to back games or like a West Coast trip when the game starts at 4 a.m.
You know that those things are crazy.
You go, You you just watched their last quarter in the car.
You know, we're driving, you know, to work.
So and it's really the first week or two.
It's really tiring for the body.
And, you know, after those 23 weeks, it's basically you don't even have to, you know, put on the clock to wake you up.
And if there's a hard game on you, just you just know just looking at the, you know, the cell phone every you know, a couple of minutes just just to get, you know, up and don't sleep over the fourth quarter.
So So you just wake up out of bed.
It's that Nick Spidey sense gotta go catch the game.
Yeah, Yeah, my wife is ****ed always because, you know, uh, you know, I tried to watch it on the on the big screen on this alone and, you know, in the dining room and it's it's, you know, I gotta or listen on the headset or just watch it on lapped up in the office and stuff.
But, you know, you know how emotions go.
Always pounce on thinking and stuff like that.
Yeah, wake up the kids that way.
I mean, do you watch the blow out games, too? Because at that point, it's like three four in the morning.
Knicks air down by 30 points.
Do I sleep or do I watch the Knicks continue to get their ass is kicked.
What I'm doing, I watch it.
I watch it for maybe more than two reasons.
But who are the biggest reasons? One is if I don't watch a game which happens like maybe I don't know, three games out of the 82 on, it's like one, because it's like like a Christmas game or something.
And we have, you know, like holidays here in Poland.
So every you know, family comes over and it's like stupid I'm just gonna be watching it from the table game.
So you know that that might be the one that I have the league past, so I just, you know, watch it after everybody goes out.
I'm just, you know, everybody knows that there's not no cleaning for me.
I just did nothing.
I just go to the couch and watch the game, right? So that's one of those times.
And other thing is like, No, I can't do it because I have friends on Facebook and social media.
I have an ad agency on printing house, so I can't work without Internet.
So imagine you know, you're waking up and you get those, you know, notifications.
Okay? They lost wherever, right? You don't have to have it set up.
Even someone is always gonna post you that the result? Or did you see the game, how much they lost or how much they want? And I'm like, you know, I always tell everybody.
Don't ask me nothing until I say something right.
So, you know, that's why I have to watch it.
Because there's only always with someone waiting to spoil it for me.
So e on and you know, it's nothing worse to watch a game that you never saw.
And you know the result.
That's nothing worse.
And you know, I also like to take notes.
You know, I when I watch a game, I'm not always watching as a fan, I tried to watch it like maybe not a scout or culture or something like that.
But I point out and know things that ****ed me off.
Then when you know I go on the show like like this or on Sin Show, I have the list of things that I can pretty guy with, right, So things that ****ed you off.
It's a long list.
The last two years, then, right? Yeah, a last 10 years.
The last 10 years I was found things, e, um I mean, you talk about, you know, folks trying to spoil the game for you out there in Europe.
Are the Knicks kind of like one of the most popular teams out there in terms of MBA fandom? Or, you know, from the closest friends that I have, there's only one guy that basically a Knick fan, but he doesn't watch the games like me you know, when we see each other, like, once a in the two weeks or something like that.
So we just talk, like, really basic overall stuff, right? Okay.
Are just gonna be good and stuff like that.
You know, really, really knows strategic or something like that.
But I have fans like me.
One guy is a Chicago bull fan.
One guy's a Detroit Piston fan.
Was is basically ah LeBron fan.
So he's, you know, he's changing, you know, teams like that.
So I tell him, you know, you can't say a bad word about the next because you don't have to be on the team.
So? So that guys out of the conversation.
But the rest of the guys, you know, And you know, Chicago and Detroit also suck.
So, you know, every every time we have, you know, just just one point, just, you know, just toe pinch the guy everybody takes the chance and the shot about it.
So, I mean, it's tough when you're the Knicks fan of three, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And, you know, they always have ah, point and pull it out of the history.
You know that Dolan is this kind of owner, And I tell him it's not on Lee the bad thing because he can spend money and stuff like that.
But you know that they only see the bad things, you know, the media chosen right zone.
So you said you run an ad agency, but you also coach kids basketball? Yeah, I help out.
And I You know, I tried to coach, but I have the papers.
Don't I Even, you know, made the papers.
I'm a b category coach here, so I could basically run the not the highest basketball class, you know, professional league.
Just one step, you know, lower right.
But, you know, yeah, my my town, the team that's running here is like a step lower.
Even so, it z, the competition is really bad, and the city doesn't feel that, you know, they don't have the sponsor for it.
They don't want to put up money for the team.
So it's not like in the near future, we're gonna have a chance for it.
Like, you know, couple of other towns, like, really nearby towns like no 10 miles away.
There are, like, 10 times smaller.
Have better teams than than than my town.
So I'm trying to be a fan and, you know, just just so kids have somewhere to play basketball if they want.
So so you know, Just like like, a regulation recreational thing.
But we also, you know, participates in some games and stuff like that.
So nice e mean beforehand you had toe.
You know, we had asked you for some kind of fun facts about you, I think, you know, And you had mentioned you played some college ball.
So you know, that naturally lets you coaching.
But the question I had, like, right away as soon as I saw that, what was your game like in college? Like if you had MBA player, you could compare it to who were you playing like? No, I never thought about it like this.
I was like, one of those pesky defenders like Pablo Prigioni was e.
I picked up full court.
I bothered the guy and stuff like that also, you know, I only shot probably threes.
I forgot about the two point game.
Very like in high school.
So, you know, I decided to be only a three point shooter and and my coach all the I remember him yelling at me like, Why are you running on Lee from you know, the 3.
9 to the three point line, right? I'm like, Why lose energy? So, wow.
Yes, I was like that.
But when I coach now, I see.
I see why he was yelling at eso.
You started a three point revolution in Poland, huh? Yeah.
You know, I was the Steph Curry, you know, checking out the shots from a couple of people people like now, uh, I know in the other show that you did earlier today, Isaiah, Show on SportsCastr now available.
You spoke about a friend that you had who owns the block of the record in blocks.
I believe the answer s O.
Yeah. He's second on that.
That top 25 year old list off block shots in the N C. A.
Um, you know? Yeah.
Yeah, he he was my really one of the best friends I had.
Um, you know, he passed away a year ago.
It was really hard because he was 39 years old.
So, you know, he wasn't that that old, you know, I'm 37 now.
So it was, like, only three years difference between us.
So? So it was really ah, heartbreaking thing.
And I remember till this day his father, you know, called me even before the, you know, the ambulance, the you know, guys came to this house and, you know, he passed out at night.
So, you know, we didn't know for a couple of good months what really happened to him, even because, you know, they made some some crazy things, but it was, you know, they couldn't, you know, pinpoint one thing, right? So probably had to go.
So that's that's how we, you know, try to try to tell us the story.
Right? But he was, you know, he was a really awesome guy.
If you really think a guy from Poland that you know, he finished college in 2002 right? Hey, was first that list? Jason Jarvis.
Bernardo? I don't know.
Hey, was a Nick even right? They picked him, Uh, so drunk and he didn't play.
Yeah, he didn't play a game for the next, I think.
Yeah, yeah, he beat him out because of the number off the blocks.
Both guys played four years of college.
But if you think about it, um, my friend had more blocks in four years.
Then guys like Alonzo Mourning.
You know, those are big names.
And you would go, you have to go through the list, right? I think, you know, Shaq had more blocks, but he only played like a season.
A Tia Ratliff had a higher average, but had less blocks, right? So, you know, he was a really good defender.
Eso, you know, playing with him even before he went to the States and when he was coming back, you know, for vacation.
And after his, you know, professional career.
Even we played in, you know, amateur weeks.
You know, regulation reeks, and and like, 23 times a week, you know? No, he wasn't that top player on, but he was projected to be the 4th 1st Polish guy in the N.
B. A and Onley thing.
That he didn't make it to the NBA was he had a bad agent, which we know over plenty off, you know, drinking, you know, weekends and evenings talked it through.
So that was one thing.
And you know, even at that point almost 20 years ago.
They had huge medical records on you, right? So he was 7.
Uh, that was really high guy.
And he was He would be in the draft with Yao Ming, right? So? So they had concerns for high and tall guys like him.
And, you know, basically, they projected it because he played professional basketball for, like 78 years.
But in the second year, off professional basketball, his knee started to go out and stuff like that.
So he wasn't you know that the player he's supposed to be, And you know, I'm only saying that he's supposed to be because his father, my first basketball coach, he was a professional player in our town.
And he was an Olympic medalist, right with the national team.
It was really a big thing for for him.
He was like, you know, like grown right, like like a grown son off the whole country, right? You know, You know the name.
You know, he's supposed to be a basketball player and stuff like that, and the West Thing is the best thing is he had a brother like a year.
You know, Younger.
He always also tall, bro.
He can Onley work on computers, right? He's clearly I t guy nonsupport at him.
Even he he wouldn't even visit our games when you were playing, like, you know, like, 200 ft away from the from his, you know, apartment.
So that's a funny thing.
How those guys who, you know, split up and stuff like that.
Well, man, I mean, sorry for your loss.
Obviously, first and foremost, but sounds like your your friend left a crazy legacy.
You know, like, oh, and the amount of stories that are never gonna be probably told, you know, Internet or whatever.
The things they're gonna keep, you know, to the grave.
E could imagine she probably has stories for days, you know? Yeah.
Um, you know, on a more you know, I I think this is a perfect opportunity to kind of switch the Knicks, you know, kind of.
Ah, seriously, you know, So you want to start it off, you know? Yeah.
I mean, with the with the n b a draft in, I won't say exactly three weeks from today.
Yeah, because, actually, yeah, The 18 18th of November is Thea NBA Draft 2020.
Um, the Knicks have the eighth pick.
As everyone knows now, I'm sure you've You've had your take in a couple of episodes of NBK at MBK.
But I feel like me personally in my my pick changes every other day.
You know, I I get a new favorite.
It's that kind of draft.
So when it comes down to it right now, you know, October 28th was your favorite prospect right now it was scenario that we're staying at eight.
Stay at a obvious top five.
We know who's gonna go.
Let's say let's agree Here.
We'll say, Wiseman Edwards Melo Lemelle Oh, uh, mellows for Carmelo um O P topping.
And, uh, I'm missing.
You said kill you Notice? I didn't say killing is I don't think the consensus top 50 yeah, Carl.
Possible e Think, of course.
X and drop a little bit.
Yeah, I'm definitely missing somebody.
Danny Idea. Yeah.
Okay, so a zycie it for me at eight.
You know what? I'm porn between vessel coral on.
Those are probably the two.
You know guys that I probably would aim for taking.
You know that that Killian Hayes is not gonna be on the board.
Right? I think I would take Killian before those guys, but, you know, from from the guys available, I think I'll take one of those three.
Got you? Yeah, definitely a Killian's.
My God told Mo in a previous episode of ours.
But what it comes down to Vast versus a car off.
You know, a lot of people I feel like that's like the big split on next Twitter.
Next, instagram, whatever you wanna call it the Knicks fan hood online.
But, um, did that video of vassal shooting that shot, or like the weird farm scare you a little bit? You know what? No, Because I saw Guillermo's, and I'm gonna plug shameless plug like Isaiah calls it.
Guillermo made a video.
A two part video about vessels, one positive one negative rights of the crossing cones.
Andi, when you look at those videos, he's really far away from the three point line, even.
So you know, the shot looks ugly.
Don't get me wrong, because that's a wind up, like, you know what? Like in baseball, dudes wind off.
So that's really ugly, right? But you know, when you think about it, he he has that that that form of his is, like, from from behind his head a little bit.
Right? So when you take the, you know, length from away from the basket, you're gonna have to wind it up to to get the strength to make the ball hit even the backboard or or the rim.
Right? So I'm not concerned about that.
Uh, even I would say, like, like, like, probably you guys heard on on some, you know, videos off NBK.
I think that might be done specially just for him to drop.
You know, I know this might sound silly and we're all next fans, right? And you know how we go before he draft? We just look for every no small sunshine for us, you know, like like, this is gonna be day here, that the pick that we take, it's gonna be the epic and stuff like that.
But I think players not just imagine being a player, would you want to play in New York or you want to play in the Minnesota or wherever right when you think about like, Charlotte, Minnesota.
I didn't wanna live in those cities for for, you know, even if you paid me right, take the million bucks, right? Or the millions of dollars yearly.
Don't get me wrong.
But, you know, I think you know, definitely I played for cheaper in in Just to be in New York and and I'm I think I'm not only bias here, just I think it's it's really you know how players think.
So I wouldn't be surprised if that would be a so called smokescreen on.
And, you know, I think he also has interests.
He knows that the Knicks and digging on him, probably like on the rest of the guys.
And I expect him to be one of the 10 guys that the Knicks can work out because, you know, like MBA said, all the teams can only work out 10 prospects.
So I I believe vessel is gonna be one of those 10.
Yeah, I think he already came in for a workout or no, right.
I think recently, e think Oh, yeah.
I think the latest report of a player working out for the next to Karen Lewis E.
Yeah, but Devin Devin Vast.
Well, I think a lot of people are kind of questioning his ceiling and how high it is.
And you gotta think about how high he's gone up the last three years, and that should really be a testament to how high ceiling could really be.
You just rank like 203 years ago, and since then he's He's slotted to be a lottery pick, since that his shop form has gotten so much better, 40% in college.
And he's, uh, he's a lock down defender with a lot of explosion.
He doesn't have that much explosiveness, but he has.
He has a high jump, too.
So I think a lot of people like a coral because of that high ceiling.
But I think can knock down vassal stealing as well.
So I think between those two guys, I Yeah, I think it's gonna be a safe pick, right? Whoever we take, you know, next next fans should be happy.
Does Ah, corals jumper.
Were you like at all? You know, because you know, we've been e think the jumper is the easiest thing that you could develop to be true because it's gonna be repetition.
You're gonna have professional shooting coaches.
So it's really a thing.
Even if you need to, you know, tweak the form off the shot.
It's really gonna be the probably the easiest thing you can work on.
Uh, you know, not everybody is gonna have the defensive i Q the awareness and stuff like that.
And that's gonna be really hard to teach because, you know, in NBC's in, you don't you won't have time for that, right? And if we're gonna pick on the 18th of November and they're thinking about starting the, you know, the season just before Christmas So that's like basically a month.
So what can you teach a prospect in a month, you're gonna have probably a two week training camp and stuff like that, but they're just gonna lay out the place layout, you know, make a little bit conditioning and stuff like that.
That's not gonna be that much time and between, you know, playing games, traveling, having those shootarounds.
There's not many training, you know, sessions to be, you know, Tau teach a guy a simple skill set, like, you know, like like a shot, right that could that could be done on his off time.
Right? Depends And player is gonna want to do it.
You know, that's another thing.
I mean, that's an interesting point.
You make may just like, probably gonna be a short, like transition period.
So with that kind of mean, it would be more beneficial for us to take an older prospect.
You know, maybe trade up for top and maybe go Tyree's how? You know, a Sfar As I see it, I think the Knicks aren't in the position to try to get the prospect only for this season.
And, you know, for this season they need to look in the future.
So I think, you know, even if I'm not saying that, we're gonna thank.
But if we let's say, lose in this season, have a lot losing records and stuff like that, I don't think it's gonna be no.
The end of the world.
Yeah, you know, you can't expect from a new team and let's be serious.
Davis is the new coach.
We have a whole new coaching staff.
The team that was last year probably is gonna be back.
Like what? Seven, maybe maximum eight players if we resigned him.
The rest is gonna be new.
So, you know, the chemistry is gonna be messed up.
And I think basically, the system off the off, you know, of playing basketball is being totally different.
I don't see you, you know, tips using Randall as a point forward, bringing up the ball off the court.
No, and stuff like that.
I see, you know, saves changing his point guard.
I think he's gonna go with Frank as a starter.
Even so, you know that that didn't happen, like in a full season, or like majorly so you know, it's gonna be plenty of new things.
New lineups, and let's hope it's just going to, you know, work out.
Even at the start of the season, let's get like 23 wins.
So the guys feel that they can win these games because if we're going to go like all in five, it's gonna be panic mode.
And, you know, the media is going to steal, stare stuff up on.
It's gonna be, you know, a bad thing.
So I just hope for those like 203 old record.
Oh, that would be beautiful.
e not only for my mental, uh, when it comes down to it, right? Based on what you're saying, there's a report that came out today at the Warriors.
I've been talking to picks 8 to 10 and within that range, or the teams that own those picks Um, how do you feel about the Knicks possibly moving up? You know what? I'm not surprised.
And I bet before the draft happens, we're gonna be hearing that.
You know, the timber roles are looking to trade that number one pick.
They already were asses faras.
I would see even they need a player that's settled in the league.
They need, like, maybe not an All Star, But a vet That's a solid vet that gonna bring, you know, minutes and stability to that team.
So I wouldn't be surprised if they want to trade that number one pick And the Golden State Warriors.
No, let's be true.
If they don't take Wiseman for the center spot, I don't think there they have any use, you know? Then you would fit them, but I don't think they even want toe take that kind of cap it.
You know, because if you look at their, you know, cap situation.
It's not that funny for them if they're gonna extend, like, you know, because they got play, Stefan dream a lot up, right? So, yeah, exactly.
So they got to get rid of one of those guys, because if the salary cap is gonna go a little bit lower, they're gonna have the whole salary cap strapped to those four guys.
So you know, they're gonna I don't You know, probably the owner doesn't know gonna be bothered about the, you know, the luxury tax and stuff like that.
But in the long run, you know, I don't think they're gonna be able to work something out, like, you know, fight for a championship with that squad.
They lost the center.
Baldwin was there, you know, And stuff like that, McGee.
Even they don't have a good center there.
They gotta look for.
So if I was, you know, the Golden State Warriors and I was talking with the Knicks, I would be starting with Mitch.
Young guy doesn't need the ball, loves running, you know, the floor.
Get grabbing those offensive rebounds.
That's a perfect fit, you know? Do I want to trade them.
Probably not dependent.
You know, if somebody is so high on Carmelo, maybe no.
Lamela's is a pick that I'm not that sure.
Plenty of next fans are like, Okay, this is if we would be the number one pick, we have to take him.
Um, you know, like we, you know, talked on some NBK episodes? No, he has fans.
And he has, you know that Maybe not that high fans, And I'm probably one of those not that high fans.
I I understand that he would have that star potential ability for sure, and that he could have in New York.
As best as you know, I don't see anyone better that could handle the city and the media.
Like New York, right? He had that in his pocket with, you know, his father around with with both of his brothers, playing basketball and stuff like that.
So that would be a safe pick when you consider that way, right? You know, from the scouting reports, when you see how he takes shots from half court guys, let's let's be serious.
If tips shot like that, even practice dude will be making push ups so running suicide for that? So you know, E.
That's gonna be a perfect fit, but, you know, it also depends.
I'm also looking at, you know, at the future factor.
I'm thinking if there wouldn't be a conflict with him and RJ, if, for example, you know Romelo, let's say he's gonna pan out, right? Andi, he's gonna be good in his 2nd 30 year.
Our job is gonna be like in his fourth, you know, 50 right? Eso who's gonna be them demand, right? I don't think you can have two stars, and I don't think argue would take well, that Lamell came in tow his team because we can call right that.
I'm not taking Randall in consideration to this, even, you know, But it s Yeah, exactly.
So you know, I'm thinking that there might be a thing, even if Lemelle Oh wouldn't want it.
I think levar might push the narrative that mellow is the guy off New York.
And then, you know, R J as faras he goes as a team player and great teammate and stuff like that.
I think they there might be some, you know, behind the scenes things happening, so I'm a little bit afraid Also of that factor That's in the same point. Yeah.
Uh, yeah, he's like an Alfa.
Yeah, you can see it right now, right? He's not gonna take any Bs from anyone on the team and from the young guys. Vessel whoever.
Right? So and that's a good guy to have when you don't have basically, like, not nothing, right? But you don't have a solid core of players that because we don't know maybe they're going to try to trade Frank or Mitch, right? Which I consider guys that I will keep for every almost price, right? But no, I think like a guy like R.
J is a perfect fit for New York.
You know, his skills.
That could be better.
His shot should be better.
But, you know, I think that's the thing that is gonna come.
Yeah, as far as the antics go, I think that was more of him in high school.
And we saw him Australia, playing with grown men.
Um, with no me with not as much media attention.
He was playing a lot more mature.
Lee and I think something like that wouldn't fly with him, so I don't think that that would necessarily happen. A chemistry.
But I think with R J.
I can see it as being a potential issue with him.
If Lamela's starts.
If that narrative Lemelle being the king of New York, that started push.
But then again, RJ played with the most hyped college player in the last two decades.
Yeah, well played, well played. Welcome.
But you've got to remember that when they were coming in that year, right? Hey, was gonna be the guy Onda.
The other guy was gonna be Camp British.
So Zion was, like, the third piece on, you know, on Lee, because his freakish athleticism and, you know, and this era because let's be let's be true, the social media era for guys like Zion are gonna give them, you know, 10 times the amount of money that they would get, probably from from the regular MBA, right? You you can just, you know, get you know, a player from from back in the day, like Stromal swift.
I don't know if you guys remember playing with right.
But you know, no social.
Then so you know you can only see, like, 23 dunks from the whole season.
But he was He was crazy, athletic, and stuff like that didn't pan out in the NBA because, you know, But Zion, they're gonna pushes.
I you know, whatever he wants, because he is gonna produce so much money for the N B.
Saw it even with the bubble, right? They had to get the pelicans in there. Exactly.
You know, how far is it that that from the West you've got, you know, like, 12 13 teams.
And from these, you got nine eso.
You know, we saw that happen.
And that that's gonna be you know, how the future in India is gonna go? Probably.
So are there any particular favorites that you have for the 27th pick or Sorry.
27th? Um, you know what I was thinking? I don't know.
Probably Kira Lewis is not gonna fall that that low.
You know those Tyler base? Um uh huh.
There's There's plenty of guys I would like a to that point.
Just just the question is, who's gonna fall there on When I was thinking about, you know, moving up.
I was rather thinking that they're going to try to move up that 27th pick toe around like 22 23 25.
You know, wherever, because that's gonna be where the gems are gonna happen, You know, the top 78 It's not a good draft.
And it's really gonna be a crazy draft, because we know we didn't have n c a March Madness we didn't see, You know, those guys developed They have, like, a 78 months.
No, without any no basketball cameras, except those highlight videos that they, you know, record themselves, right? That's why you know, you know, and always in the March madness, some players, you know, risen and some fallen, right.
And you will only see, you know, that that that draft board would be, like, more stable.
Now I pick that, you know, it's like like you said Wiseman, right? He's gonna be top five.
I saw Wiseman, you know, getting drafted behind us, even at 9 11.
And I was like these guys crazy, you know, that he was like another mark drops.
He's, like, talk to right.
So and I don't know If it is the thing that that the teams that are not gonna be able to work out that many players, it's really gonna be, ah, huge lottery, this draft.
So So I'm really curious who is going to be taken there, and And we got to remember one more factor here at eight.
We're gonna be we're gonna have certain expectations, right? At 27 they're not gonna have expectations.
If the guy's gonna pan out, he's gonna pan out.
If not, you know, he's gonna be playing in the Julie for two years, and then we're gonna, you know, don't even, you know, remember the contract after two seasons.
So if the guy at the 27 you know, it's that 12 shots in the road, the garden is gonna be crazy Way e always.
You know, when I value players in the league and you know, previously now and in the future it's always a factor off what the guy brings to the table and how much he earns money.
Right? Because the 27 contract is gonna be, you know, to 27 pick.
Contract is gonna be like, I don't know, a million and a half or wherever, Right.
While that it is gonna be around 67 million, probably.
So you know, you gotta have mawr expectations and more production from from that guy that's gonna be earning that kind of money than than, you know, a million and a half, right? So, yeah.
I mean, definitely like that 27 toe like 30 range you're definitely looking for I think that's the, like, the area you would probably target.
Like the older college players, you know? I mean, guys are becoming to be role players, so I mean, a name that I see a lot of people or Knicks fans are like, really warming up to lately in that area is like Desmond Bain had a chance to see.
Oh, well, e a Alright, Yeah.
You must get for us, I think, but wondering if you're the same.
I saw a couple of videos on bein also, but you know, e I don't think he's gonna talk to 27 e Someone's gonna snatch before.
But you know, if he's gonna be, you know, get picked hype.
Someone's gotta fall to us.
Right? So I just hope we don't pick up.
And we also can go the route that we're gonna pick a guy and stash them in the jelly for season two.
Right? So we're gonna maybe a pick.
A guy like Gene McDaniels, which is a prospect were really young one.
But I don't think he's gonna be a 27 though.
He's gonna be probably picked, you know, before us.
But that's why that that that 27 pick might be no moved, like, you know, couple of only picks.
Right? But those couple of picks might be the guy that we were really looking for a lot.
Yeah, they might, right.
They might just try to give.
I don't know if cash is gonna be enough, but it might be enough, Especially in today's climate.
These teams that don't have money in a week draft they might take they might take 27 cash considerations to move up a couple of a couple of pics.
Look, we've got to remember, like, teams like, you know, Boston.
They have several picks in the first round.
I don't think they have even space to sign like three or four guys right from the draft.
And so, you know, it's It's I think there might be moving or, like, you know, trading two picks for one a little bit higher, stuff like that.
That's why I'm predicting this.
You know, N b a draft NYT, Toby Really crazy.
In that point, people gonna get drafted a couple of minutes.
Gonna They're gonna be traded, so it's gonna be wild.
I'm waiting for that.
You know, Thio? Hopefully, man, Because sometimes, you know, we hear that every year, Like like draft night or the day of the draft, all the reporters to say, a lot of trade chatter or whatever and then, like, trades happen, like one of them.
Second round, Yeah, Just just to at this point, I think it's gonna be more trades because the draft night is happening the next day.
I think it's gonna be the day that we have to extend.
The free agents will have the decision on them.
And two days before, after the draft on the 20th, it's gonna be free.
Agency is going to start, right? So you have the really short, you know, amount of time to get the rest of the players after the draft sorted.
Because, you know, basically, when the draft happens around around with late June, right, it's really it was June, like you have a couple of weeks toe free agency starts, right? So you know, now, you know, general managers have toe have that plan set in now.
And that's why we saw even reports that players already having a contract, you know, agrees they had a arrangements already done.
So, you know, nobody's gonna sell with who and what, But you know, if that came out that they're gonna be, you know, financial penalties.
So neither side is gonna, you know, wanna slip that news.
But I'm betting that that's probably, you know, already contracts are sales and stuff like that.
And he's gonna take off the 19th and pulling all nighter for this draft night.
I'm trying to make it happen.
I already said I work that I'm gonna I'm not gonna be, you know, at work the second day.
So, um, I think as we get closer to the end of this episode, I want to talk a little bit about MBK Um, how long were you officially part of the Because Nafi, and are fairly new to it.
So how long have you been involved with Sim and his? His his crew.
You know what? I don't remember even E.
I don't know if it probably over a year, that that's definitely, um but I think you know, the NBK fam Things started because, you know, Sim had shows where, like, there were, like, 10 11 12 people in the chat.
Right? So we saw a niche there that, you know, maybe not everybody has the strength and, you know, the time to make their shows, like, individually, right? Eso same found a platform like SportsCastr And, like, you know, just you just log in, click a button and you go off, right? So, like probably most of the guys that also camera shy, like you saw those.
You know, people in the chat, even right? You saw them regularly.
You know them from the chat.
But you never saw them on video.
I hope you know that whenever you know my show, my channel, I say as Guillermo's and and the rest of the guys, right, it blows up people are going to be joining you guys.
Me and you know not only Sim, but you know, like like I was, like, laughing, you know, with him that now when he was waiting for get moto pop on NBK.
He's got a call him, you know, and get still in the waiting on is asking him to come over to the region off next podcast.
So, uh, um So the question I had is or I wanna ask is since you've been there for a year, when was because we see a lot of heated arguments and we've seen them go on for our what's one that, like, really just sticks in your memory as one of those times that everybody was just yelling and screaming at each other? You know what? I'm gonna just gonna evolve on this topic before, SportsCastr.
Same wasn't only on Zoom right now on Zoom.
He can control everything he commute and stuff like that.
Before that, there was there was a chat, or it was called whereby right? And they call it later on appearing.
And you know that the owner was changed.
You can stuff like that, and they basically got messed up.
But in that chat, Sim could no on mute one person.
And we like we're behind stage, right? And we could have a whole different chat behind, you know, the stage.
So that was the place where the arguments happened.
And I record this because people need to see what's happening offline, like no behind the scenes.
And, you know, that's why it's sometimes him, you know, when he commuted someone and Mark was going to know arrow on KP or whatever, right? So So it was really funny for them.
So stimulated him, went back to someone else.
And, you know, they were arguing.
You know, that thing was crazy.
And, you know, probably you guys know Mark Wright, whose Mark s you know, he's one of the guys.
That's a really great guy.
Dude, you know, he could, you know, invite you to his house and stuff like that.
But when it comes to basketball, you know, everybody has different points, right? And I understand that everybody understands that Mark is like, you know, he's like that flag today.
He's on this guy tomorrow.
He's on this guy, you know, like way before you know, Onley things you know stable with him is k P.
And I want him on this side because, you know, I think I think that that's a no long sorry.
I'm not going to get into it.
But I think I'm one of those go.
Those guys that way were on KP side from the beginning on.
And we know, Maybe not.
We know because it's not Not anything, you know, secret or wherever, right? We just believe that that went out another way that that the media presented it.
So no, I think it wasn't that, you know, Onley fair and and the media sold us the next fans.
The thing that kpu No one and out and stuff like that I don't think it was that way.
Think he wasn't one to blame, But, you know, I think it it could be worked out and he could be still be a nick.
But when you look at this point, you know he is injured.
So, you know, I don't think we lost that much.
Yeah, just glad we didn't.
We weren't the ones to give him, like, what was that? 140 mil.
Something like that Looking ugly already.
Now we've got to count on on Dallas to get us.
You know, the higher the pigs, you know, to go the better for us.
I mean, don't want him to get hurt, but maybe just have them take a vacation for a season.
Let me just retire for season or something like that this season.
And, you know, the next season he can play well, And then in two years again, Yeah, exactly.
Just just take breaks every now and then.
Luca Well, and we appreciate you coming on.
You know, like my partner said, we are again to that time.
We try to keep these brief, you know? But we do appreciate you coming on.
It was a fun conversation, man.
It was It was, you know, a blessing for me.
I could join you guys.
So I'm happy whenever you need me to come and just just, you know, holla at me before so I could know Put my clock on, wake up and I'll join you guys.
E really appreciate it, Andy.

Uh, Andy Corrective hum wrong. Yeah.
You don't think you're fine? I think we're going to try to expand it because we found guys that we would like to work with.
Also, I'm leaving that you know, the negotiations to Sim.
I don't wanna be, you know, that That want for the head of him.
But, you know, also, I think I'm gonna be we're gonna have free Z.
We're gonna have Nick G.
You know that the basic guys from from from the video chat and also some probably extras, but I'm gonna leave that, you know, announcement for Sim. Nice.
